On the evening of September 30th of 2014, @solangelo was founded and many mods and ten years later this blog is still active! In honor of the duration say hello to this event!

All sorts of artists and creators are welcome, submissions of fanart, fanfic, fanedits, playlists, cosplays and anything else your heart desires are welcome to be added to the collection!

Instead of providing alternate words, the prompts list has been divided into two sections, the first section seperates Will and Nico into individuals. The second prompt list is intended to be more focused on their relationship, and in most cases should be a word that connects to the corresponding word of that date for Will or Nico. For example, day 7 uses the words Refract and Crystal for Will and Nico and then Rainbow as their combined word.

The prompt list was intentionally designed to allow people who just want to create content for Nico or Will but not necessarily them together to also participate! Feel free to mix and match the lists throughout the week, or if you like an extra challenge you're welcome to try and use all 3 words for everyday of the week!

Q: Can I use different pairings than the suggested pairings? Like, could I do the same sibling pair the whole month through? A: Absolutely! They are only suggestions, you can use whichever pairing you want.

while there truly are behaviors in disabilities like autism that genuine cause harm to self or others, 1) using this shock device for those behaviors without consent or try other methods or think about underlying why, still issue, 2) many times used for behaviors that. staff just don’t like. like saying no. or refuse take off coat.

For the purposes of this tournament, "Man" and "Guy" are defined as any bi-pedal humanoid male character played by a man. As such, characters belonging to non-human races such as Hobbits, Orcs, Elves, Demons, Fauns, Werewolves etc. ARE admissible, and, indeed, encouraged.

If you have propaganda you forgot to include in your submission, just hold onto it and send it in an ask after the Tournament begins.

You may submit as many hot men as you like but please submit only ONE ENTRANT per submission.

Do not hesitate to submit ANY hot guy you think may qualify, no matter how popular he is. There is no such thing as a shoo-in with these tournaments. If you think "Someone MUST have submitted him already!" Everyone else is probably thinking that too and then he may well NEVER get submitted and we don't want that.

Do not worry about how many submissions your hot guy might have had already--I need to get a sense of who the strongest contenders are in order to fairly seed the draws, and the best way to do that is volume of submissions.

We are voting on the hotness of the characters. While the actors who portray them are of course a major factor in this, we are not voting on the actors themselves, therefore propaganda pertaining to the actors real lives (aside from anecdotes relating to their portrayal of the character) is not admissible.

By that same token, in the case of historical figures (e.g. Henry VIII) we are judging hotness based on the fictionalized portrayals of them in these properties, not on historical fact.

Regarding immortal/time-travelling/dimension-hopping/extremely long-lived characters, regardless of when the character was born, the main action**** of the story must take place within the Medieval Period (see dates listed at the top of this post) or Medieval-esque fantasy fantasy realm in order for them to be eligible for submission. As such, characters like the Pevensie brothers (The Chronicles of Narnia) and Ash Williams (Army of Darkness) are admissible, but Asgardians (the MCU Thor films) are not.

I, as the Administrator and Master of Revels of this tournament, am exercising discretion in the admittance of characters from works by Shakespeare, since many of them have no set date.

Re: characters adapted from books/written works - Book quotes by/ about your character are not admissible as Propaganda for their tv/ movie counterparts unless said quotes were also written into the show/movie.

Wrath doesn't always mean pure rage and vengeance also. ShuffleComp 2024: Shuffle Harder

ShuffleComp is a musical interactive fiction competition where you make games based on songs, which are submitted by other entrants. Each entrant gets a random playlist of songs submitted by other entrants, and will make games based on these songs.

How it works:

Sign up for the game jam and/or submit a playlist of up to 8 songs Sign up for the game jam and/or submit a playlist of up to 8 songs here. This is due by December 15. You can make games without submitting songs, or submit songs without making games, but it is recommended that you do both. Songs from people not making games will only be used if there are not enough songs otherwise.

By December 20, if you indicated that you're interested in the jam, you'll receive a list of 8 songs by email, randomly selected from other participants' submissions. Now, you'll write a game (or up to 3 games) based on some of these songs. You can submit songs to this jam page.

Games are due by January 19, 2025. After which, you'll be able to vote for the following two weeks.

shitty horrible asshole girl jam

in the meantime between dev, i wanted to announce that i'm running a jam on itch.io from december 21-march 7!! while i personally will be working on a game, it is open to things like comics/ttrpgs/music as well, and youre welcome to start early/submit late/repurpose old projects!!

the theme is as follows:

the only real requirements to meet the theme is that there is be one or more girl who sucks in some way and is a major part of the plot, and in addition to said sucky girl/s, the story/cast is primarily be centered around characters that are female/have a connection to feminine identity. all of these things are loosely defined and open to your interpretation. for example:

what 'connection to the feminine identity' means gender-wise is entirely up to you. if they're a shitty gal to you, they're a shitty gal to the jam. i use she/her in these examples, but your character does not need to.

'shitty' can mean whatever you want. i'm down for mean girls, bully girls, morally grey girls, living-with-the-guilt-of-one-horrible-decision girls, sadistic murderer girls, absolutely and irredeemably evil girls - any form of women's wrongs. this also means that the girl in question can be as sympathetic or unsympathetic as you like.

while i will insist that the titular shitty gal be a major character if there's only one, this can take whatever form, as long as she is a major impact on the narrative. even a haunting-the-narrative approach is okay, as long as its a core part of the work.

WIBTA if I asked my mom to clean her lipstick off our cups?

My (17 M) mom (54 F) wears lipstick on days when she works or goes out of the house. When she comes home, she often forgets to take it off. This means that when she gets a drink of juice/water/alcohol, the cups (that everyone in the family uses) get lipstick prints on them. This would be easily solved by a run through the dishwasher - except she wears a type of lipstick that doesn't come off of anything (so it doesn't rub off while she's at work). The more we run the cups through the dishwasher, the more baked-on the lipstick gets.

I don't want to make her change the lipstick she wears, but I do want her to clean it off communal drinking surfaces. The lipstick remaining on the cups provides a space for bacteria to grow, and it makes them still look dirty even if they just came out of the dishwasher. Also, as her son I just feel...weird putting my lips right against where her lipstick is. Like an indirect kiss.

The dishwashing in our house is a little oddly divided: I empty the dishwasher, my mom loads it, and my dad (64 M) does any hand washing (mostly things that can't be put through the dishwasher without melting). Technically, washing the lipstick off these cups this would be my dad's responsibility since it's a handwashing job, but his job means he's gone a lot and wouldn't always be available to clean the cups. Additionally, since she's the only one in the house who wears lipstick (neither me nor my father do), it's kind of on her that so many of our cup rims are covered in lipstick now, so I feel it'd be only fair if she washed them.

So I've been considering asking my mom to clean the lipstick off the cups. But my mom is also busy, and I feel like I'd be a bit of a dick if I just shoved more things onto her plate. So, Tumblr, WIBTA if I asked her to clean her lipstick off our cups?
