Sub!Sess - Separation Anxiety

Sesshomaru gets lonely when you leave for the modern era, be it for family or other life reasons, he's upset because nothing seems to be a valid enough reason for abandoning him. He whimpers by the bone-eater's well, staring into pit that you ordered him not to follow you into. He becomes restless waiting for you, pacing around the well nonstop, getting increasingly frustrated when the sun sets on another day and you're still not back. He loses his appetite, starts taking his frustration out on the surrounding trees. Mercy on the souls of those who happen to venture into the area during that time, if they're ignorant to the radius of despair and bloodlust. When you finally return, you're pulled from the well as if you weigh nothing, into the arms of a red eyed, fang baring, tear stained inoyokai. You immediately assess the situation based on the state of the environment. "Did you miss me?"

Bonus: Now when you make a trip back for whatever reason, you always make sure Sesshomaru is settled first. This is achieved by overstimming him—a challenge with his demon libido taken into account, but doable. When he’s tired out, he won't pace around restlessly during your absence. For good measure, you also gift him this huge plushy that's covered in your scent and has a recording of your voice inside. He’s convinced it’s some type of sorcery, so you spend some extra time explaining Build-A-Bear. Once he understands the science behind it, he absolutely loves your gift. Don’t think it’ll get you out of cuddles, though.

Yet, human Inuyasha (long black hair, brown eyes, thicker eyebrows) is even more attractive to Jakotsu, as Inuyasha’s human form is what makes Jakotsu want to hold him.

He describes Sesshomaru as having “cold, expressionless eyes” and isn’t particularly that into him

Fashion— his main comments on Koga was about what Koga was wearing, rather than his physical appearance. Koga does tick some boxes for Jakotsu, but ultimately lacks one of the qualities that Jakotsu prefers the most: Cuteness.

Koga does not really have any of those “cute!” moments like Inuyasha and Miroku do. Koga is also a coward who runs away and saves his passion for things Kagome-related.

How Jakotsu describes his type to Renkotsu:

So in conclusion, who is someone with all of those important qualities?

I saw you reblogged my post and he'll yeah what is this whole every man in this series has a fucking crush on Sesshomaru (I don't blame them lol)

And for you shipping Sessnara is absolutely understandable (let's think about how sub naraku was when they first met in season 1)

But now to the real purpose of those words...I don't really know what I wanted to tell you actually I just wanted to say that I feel so grateful everytime I hear from someone that they saw this masiv sexual tension of sessbya as well, so I guess thank you for seeing it too :)

Oh yeah Byakuya being flattering when Sesshoumaru is around is so obvious, and he is a character I found very intriguing, such a pity he doesn't do that much in the Final Act (well, no, he actually has his big part but still) I hope for some additional appearance of his in the manga (yet to read, I can't wait!). Lately I was also thinking what a duo he and Jakotsu could have made had they had the chance to meet aaaaahhh.

Sessnara instead... oh man they are so hannigram-coded and I will die on this hill.

Sub!Sess - Your Scent

Sesshomaru tends to get turned on by your scent, especially during mating season. Whenever you're not in the mood to deal with an overly horny dog demon, you switch from your scentless soap to something stronger, and douse yourself with perfume from the modern era. This annoys the hell out of him. Strange scents were invasive, threatening, and yes, you smelled like a field of cherry blossoms, but that could easily be someone else's scent on you. He'll be pouty about it, but then not so subtle when he leads you by one of those rivers with a slow current. “Take off your clothes.”

When you refuse to bathe and scold him for trying to order you around, he might take matters into his own hands and lick the product from your neck. He calms down once he can smell your natural scent coming through again. Calms down enough so that you have to deal with the very thing you were hoping to avoid.

All in all, while the perfume might get you a little time to yourself, just be careful with how often you use a singular scent, because he'll start associating that smell with you and it'll just get weird the next time he ventures into a cherry blossom field.

well…i really think that at the time sesshomaru was very deprived sexually.

i can see him cumming quickly when he was touching himself alone and he didn't have anyone because he really needed someone.

i think he would be turned on by anything you do to him. touching his ears and licking his neck would make him come. i know.

so he may not be a big fan of you dominating him, but once he sees how good it feels, i doubt there will be any turning back.

If people are wondering how sessribs are defending Rin’s creepy ass moment where she laughs that Towa and Setsuna “will be attacked by lots of demons yay” I took a peek at reddit and basically they’re now saying Rin “was always a sadistic savage” who “knows her kids will kill any demons” and “her savage side is probably what Sesshomaru liked about her”. 

Oh and yeah, you can’t compare Rin and Kagome as mothers, it’s “apples and oranges” and Rin is “just as warm and loving mom as Kagome!!1″

Now the good news is that apart from these moronic comments... reddit is surprisingly quiet. There are mainly random posts here and there and amazingly few comments on the various ones... and the threads discussing the ending are outright complaining about how bad it was. Hope to see the trend continuing this way and that the people behind the comments like the ones above disappear more and more over time. We can only hope. Now I need to go and bleach my brain after the Inuyasha/YH subs fill I had for the whole year, christ...

Hiii! Where do you read the manga online? Some of the translations you post look different than the ones I find online.

Example- I forget which chapter exactly but when Kagome was trying to dress Inuyasha’s wounds after their fight with Yura- Kagome’s like “Take your clothes off!” And Inuyasha was like “Beg me to!”

The manga I’m reading has Inuyasha calling Kagome a bitch every other sentence. There has to be a better way to enjoy this story 🥲

Hi! I've talked about this before but there is 2 different translations of the Inuyasha manga that you can find online. I have a lot of things to say about the different translations so I will use your ask to ramble a bit ^^

So basically when the Inuyasha manga was first released in Japan, fans would get the raw scans in Japanese, translate them and upload them online. This is the "fan translation". I know the first half of the manga was translated by one person (but I don't remember their name), and the second half by @inu-fanon / @fast-moon aka Patches.

The manga was also officially translated and published in North America by Viz Media. If you find physical volumes of Inuyasha in English this is the translation you'll find. Viz also recently released digital versions of their "VIZBIG" (3-in-1) volumes of Inuyasha, so that's why we now have high-quality scans of the Inuyasha manga.

The scans you're reading where Inuyasha calls Kagome a "bitch" is the fan translation, and the scans I've been reblogging recently (mainly posted by @mustardyellowsunshine), is the Viz translation. You can easily tell which translation you're reading based on the font of the text: The fan translation usually uses either Comic Sans or Manga Temple while the Viz translation uses Whizbang (just google the name of the font and you'll see). Also the onomatopoeia (sound effects) are translated to English in the Viz version, but usually they're not in the fan version.

The thing with Inuyasha calling Kagome a "bitch" is that the word he uses in Japanese is pretty hard to translate. When he's angry at her, he uses the word てめぇ [temee] which is a rude way of saying "You".

He uses that word in the Japanese dub of the anime too by the way, so it's not something that the anime "toned down". It's just that the translation varies a lot. The fan translations usually opt for "You bitch" or "You bastard" while Viz and the English subs and dub usually go for "Why you", "Damn you" or they change the sentence completely to make it clear that Inuyasha is angry at Kagome.

Here's a few examples so you can see what I'm talking about. From chapter 6 / episode 3:

If it really bothers you then I would suggest reading the Viz translation! The only problem with the Viz translation is that they don't always translate the text "literally". Quite a few times I read something in the Viz volumes and went "uh??" so I asked my friend who has the Japanese volumes of the manga what the original text says, and every time the fan translation was correct but not the Viz one.

I can give you a few examples on top of my head where the Viz translation was really amusing or frustrating and it turned out to be the Viz translator doing whatever they want....

Chapter 34:

This one had me going "Have to tell her WHAT???" until I learned he was really just saying "Kagome..." :')

Chapter 332:

"Too long" is funny because it makes them sound like an old married couple, but it's also kind of mean? He only says "Quite a while" in the original text.

Chapter 417:

Sango says "Sesshomaru should be sneezing" because there's a superstition in Japan that says sneezing means someone is talking behind your back. Viz changed it because non-Japanese audiences probably wouldn't get the joke.

Chapter 458:

I was laughing so hard at the Viz translation here because Kagome getting called out for "behaving as if Inuyasha annoys her while dreaming of having him all to herself" was just so funny to me but it turns out the actual dialogue is completely different and not amusing at all lmao.

Oh and Sesshomaru speaks French at one point in the Viz translation, but I can't remember which chapter it's from:

There's only one instance where I've been told the Viz translation is more accurate than the fan one, and it's in chapter 465:

Apparently it's hard to tell who the subject is in Japanese sentences so there was some confusion here. But the Viz translation makes more sense and the English dub of the anime also has Inuyasha saying that line.

Anyway there's a lot more examples but I'm sure you get the idea.

So the unfortunate answer is that there is no perfect way to read the Inuyasha manga! The Viz scans are a lot nicer in terms of quality but the text can be quite different from the original, while the fan translation has a lot of swearing and the scans are low-quality but you get a more accurate translation of what the characters are saying in the original text. Someday someone should take the Viz scans and fix all the mistranslations and reupload them somewhere but that would be a looot of work.
