I’ve been rewatching InuYasha a lot recently and felt the urge to draw my girl. I’ve always pictured Kagome to be a bit older than she was described - maybe a 17-year-old senior in high school at the beginning of the show and a 21-year-old at the end. I like to think that she spent the three year span that she was stuck in the present era attending college, maybe majoring in history and spending her spare time in the archery and martial arts clubs.

I also wish we got more Kagome outfits D; her green school uniform is iconic but we deserved even more from this diva.

Technique wise, I used this piece to work on anatomy and creating a background (I’m not used to making backgrounds and they really intimidate me, but I think I did a good job here!)

You enjoy drawing lots of stuff, you specifically love to draw beautiful stuff to remember their beauty when you’re gone, usually most of your drawings this month consisted of flowers, animals and houses you saw when you traveled, but this night, inuyasha was the only thing you could think about…his human form entirely took you away, the heavy contrast from his usual silver hair to his dark black hair makes you only want to draw him…you know better than to show him though…he’ll rip it up or blush for days.
