Hey I don't know if this is the appropriate place go ask this but I'm zbout to return to a place where some very traumatic stuffhappened and I don't really know how to deal with that

Hey. It's fine to ask here, I don't mind at all. That's hard as fuck and its not like it's easy to look up resources for it, don't worry about it.

Okay, so, I don't have any specifics for your situation but what I'd say is that your first priority needs to be You. Not hanging out with other people, not keeping up any pretenses, but taking care of you. You're going to need to make sure you're prepared to do so, with things that make you feel good and things or maybe lists of things that bring you out of spirals (if you have them).

You're also gonna want to be prepared for the fact you're almost definitely going to be triggered. You can prepare yourself thinking of things that might trigger you and things that help you deal with those triggers but also keep in mind, something you didn't picture might trigger you too. There's a possibility you won't be triggered but if you aren't, you're still going to have to watch out for yourself for the next little while, because triggers can be delayed too.

If you have anyone you can ask, it'd definitely be a good idea to tell them you're nervous about this and maybe that you'd appreciate it if they kept an eye out for you and gave you some extra support if you need it.
