It was great spending time with these guys. It always made me smile when they asked me not to photograph them smoking. I think they kept forgetting that I soldiered for 22 years so was on the same wavelength. Understanding when and where you can relax is just as important as being sharp and professional, you'd burn yourself out if you didn't take a break. This patrol was on the ball and continually get good results in the war on poachers. Here they were setting up camp in preparation for an intensive patrol programme in Kafue National Park.
