It's the thought - Izo x Reader

Look, I know I am supposed to be writing Spooktober things now, but I couldn't really let this pass without at least a little writing. So without any further ado, enjoy a little celebratory blurb for the one true love of my life, Izo! 2nd person. GN reader. Modern AU

It was a beautiful fall day: the leaves on the trees had been turning all shades of crimson, orange and yellow, and the temperatures had lowered from the scorching summer heat to something more pleasant, without being actually cold. Fall had officially started, and you were absolutely enjoying the atmosphere.

You were home alone for now, making use of the time you had to yourself to warm up the oven and get to baking. For fall, pumpkin spice everything seemed like the obvious choice- but not today. Today you had an entirely different mission: bake your boyfriend a cake. You had found a recipe online that was beginner-friendly yet ambitious: two layers and a cream frosting, soft pink details and strawberries. They were out of season now, but you knew how much Izo loved them, and you wouldn’t spare any effort for his birthday.

You’d been a little sad to be hearing he’d still be working today, as you had hoped he’d maybe take the day off for his birthday, but he’s never made a big deal out of it.

“When you’re my age, y/n, it truly doesn’t matter much anymore. It’s just another day. But, if you’d like, we can go out to dinner, the two of us?”

You had -of course- agreed, but since you were home anyway, you had decided that you wanted to surprise him as well. After all, he made such an effort of surprising and pampering you throughout the year, with little thoughtful gifts, flowers to make your house an even more beautiful place, takeout of your favorite meals whenever you were too tired to cook…

So you had gone out, purchased all the ingredients for a cake (and some more, just in case something went wrong), his favorite flowers, and put those in a vase on the table. You had made a card with a handwritten love letter earlier, and had now put it next to the vase and a little box that was neatly wrapped with a rose gold paper. Inside was a watch you had seen him eye a couple times before, but never purchasing it, because he felt like it was too expensive for a watch, especially since he still had one that was working perfectly fine still.

The oven signaled that it was done preheating, and you practically jumped from the sound, already confused how time was flying by so fast; you had barely set the table with gifts and hadn’t even started measuring and weighing the ingredients. You let the oven sit like that for now and got to quickly prepping the ingredients. Once preparations were over, it didn’t take too long for you to actually do the recipe. You made sure to follow the recipe to the letter, knowing that baking was more of a precision job than cooking usually was.

When the cake was finally in the oven, you cleaned up the counter and prepared the frosting. After that, you let the cake cool down on the counter while you tidied up the house. You opened up a window to let the room air out, and went upstairs to take a shower and get ready for your dinner date already. That way you could focus on cake decorating until Izo got home, and leave for the restaurant whenever he was ready, You didn’t want him to have to wait for you.

You put on your favorite music while washing up, loudly singing along and already imagining what the evening was going to be like. You were getting excited when-

You heard some noises downstairs, and even though the shower was running hot, you suddenly got cold shivers.

You then heard some yelling, and were ready to panic until you recognized the voice.

“Izo?” you walked downstairs carefully, nothing but a towel wrapped around your frame, still dripping wet, being careful not to slip.

“Y/n?” You sighed in relief when you realized it was in fact Izo who had come home much earlier than anticipated. Your relief was short lived when you realized your surprise was a little ruined now, and then replaced by worry when you saw his face, confused and not at all the way you had expected him to look when he saw what you were preparing.

“What was that sound?” You walked up to him, giving him a brief kiss, whispering a happy birthday against his lips. “Well… I will assume you were preparing a surprise for me?” You nodded, and he chuckled. “Did you by any chance leave food out and a window open?” You closed your eyes, cursing as you realized what had probably happened. “I think the neighborhood cat was just as surprised as you were to find me home early.” You walked into the kitchen with him, only to find little pawprints in frosting all over, and the cake that was cooling down ruined with tooth marks and paw- and clawprints and more frosting smeared all over. At the very least it looked like the creature hadn’t ingested too much, so you were sure it would be fine. You looked over at the table, relieved to see that at least your gift setup wasn’t bothered by the cake thief either.

Still, your relief was replaced with sadness, as you did put in all the effort. You felt your bottom lip tremble as you took in the view, only to be pulled out of your thoughts by a strong arm around your waist. Izo pulled you into his side, chuckling softly.

“I wanted to surprise you. You seemed a little deflated that I didn’t want to celebrate beyond going out for dinner, so I wanted to see if we could maybe have a fun afternoon. I got off a little early, only to see that you were preparing something as well”

You nodded.

“It was going to be a strawberry cake, your favorite” “Does that mean you have fresh strawberries in the fridge?” You didn’t see it, but you could hear the smile in his voice. “Yes”, you smiled as well. “And you got my favorite flowers,” he said, walking up to the table, taking you along with him with one arm still wrapped around your waist, the other softly touching the flowers, studying the arrangement. You looked at his face, admiring him instead of the flowers.

“Thank you.”

He turned to you before even opening the card or the present, and you smiled, suddenly feeling a little embarrassed about the whole situation: the failed surprise, the mess that the kitchen was, the fact that you were not ready, standing there shivering in your towel.

“You’re welcome, I wish it was mo-”

He shushed you with another kiss, effectively taking away most of your worries and otherwise negative feelings. He had that effect on you, immediately making you feel better with nothing but a loving gesture. "It's perfect”

You had no choice but to replace your frown with a smile as well.

“let me get dressed then, and then… we’ll celebrate” "And maybe clean up a little as well"

Initially I was getting lazy and didn't want to do anything, but I haven't been doing much physical activity other than stretching so I pushed myself to do a workout! “Hey (Y/N), what are you doing here?” Nobara asked as she found me on the campus staircase, sitting down. “Waiting for Yuuji, he texted me 2 hours ago that he was on his way back, and to wait for him at the stairs. We’re supposed to celebrate my birthday today, since we’ve both been busy. We haven’t really celebrated it… but today he’s on his wait and now we can finally do something!” I smiled. “Your birthday? It was almost 2 weeks ago though…” Nobara frowned. “I know, but we’ve been super busy. But now today’s the day! He should be here any minute,” I grinned. “Oh well…” Nobara said while dropping down next to me. “I don’t think he’ll be here… any time soon,” she said softly and placed her hand on my shoulder. “Huh?” I asked. “After the mission he and Megumi headed off to an arcade together. They had a stupid argument over that girl Mai’s cursed energy technique about who would have a better aim,” she sighed. “Huh? N-No… he texted me though,” I said softly, in disbelief. “It’s the truth (Y/N), besides I know Itadori told you that I was tagging along the assignment with them right?” she asked. “He… he did,” he said as I dropped my head in between my knees. “Plus, I just got here, wouldn’t that mean he should’ve gotten here too?” she asked. “Yeah…” I mumbled. “S-Sorry (Y/N), I guess I overstepped,” she said. “No it’s fine, thanks Nobara,” I said as I slowly stood up and began walking towards the exit. “Where are you going?” She asked. “To finally celebrate my birthday!” I said as I waved goodbye. “O-Ok…” I heard her say as I ran off.

I headed straight to the train station, “Why wallow in self pity if I can have a good day by myself?” I asked softly and boarded the train. I headed straight to the city to go find a bakery. As soon as I hopped off the train I walked towards Main Street to try the new bakery that opened up, “Ooh that croissant looks delicious,” I drooled. “Salmon,” I heard the family voice behind me mutter. “Toge!” I was surprised when I turned and saw him standing right behind me. “You came to try to check out the new bakery too?” I asked. “Bonito flakes,” he nodded. “Me too! I saw some photos online and the croissant looked delicious and also the strawberry cake. I wanted to come here with Yuu-“ I shook my head. “I wanted to try it, but I really don’t trust myself around a whole cake,” I laughed awkwardly. “Kelp,” he said as he pointed to himself. “Wanna share one?” I asked with stars in my eyes. “Tuna Mayo,” he nodded. “Ok! Let’s get it,” I smiled and headed to the register.

“Hello!” The woman behind the register smiled. “Hi, can I get a chocolate croissa- or make that 2 chocolate croissants. And a strawberry cake,” I said. “Ok anything else?” She asked. “Toge, was there anything else you wanted?” I asked. He shook his head. “Ok, oh and can we get 2 iced lattes,” I smiled. “Alright, that’ll be $30,” she said as she handed me a number. I began taking out my wallet until I noticed Toge handed her the money. “Oh Toge, I got it!” I said as I began pulling the money out of my wallet. He shook his head and lifted his phone showing a calendar with the 14th circled. It had ‘(Y/N)’s birthday’. “O-Oh… but you already got me a gift,” I said, confused. The woman handed the change back to Toge, “Ok, we’ll call your number in about 20 minutes. I nodded as I stepped out of the bakery with Toge. “You know you didn’t have to pay,” I frowned. “Kelp,” he replied. “I’ll pay you back, or treat you to something when we have another day off,” I said. “Salmon, tuna mayo,” he frowned. I sighed, “You’ll just take your money out faster?” I asked. “Bonito flakes,” he nodded. “Then can I at least pay for something? I’d feel bad,” I pleaded. Toge stayed silent, then pointed across the street. I looked over and noticed a street artist doing cute caricature portraits. “You wanna go do one?” I asked. He quickly nodded, “Alright come on! We do have 20 minutes!” I said and grabbed his hand, and ran across the street to the artist.

“Hello,” I smiled. “Hello,” he replied. “How much for a portrait?” I asked. “15 per person,” he said. “Alright we’d like to do one!” I smiled and we both sat on the pair of stools in front of the man. “Alright, this will take about 20 to 25 minutes,” he said. “Perfect,” I smiled. We smiled, or I smiled and Toge stayed still for the next 25 minutes. “Alright, ready for the reveal?” The artist asked. We both nodded. He then swiftly flipped the image and both of us stared at the image, “Wow, we’re so cute!” I said excitedly and grabbed the paper. “Tuna mayo,” Toge said. “Thank you!” I said, and paid the man. We headed back to the bakery and picked up our cake and other items. “Should we go to a nearby park?” I asked. Toge quickly nodded and we headed towards a park that was about 10 minutes away.

“Wow this cake is so yummy,” I smiled as I took another big bite. “Tuna Mayo,” Toge mumbled as he took another bite. “Ah, Toge you have frosting on your face,” I said and leaned over with a napkin to wipe his cheek. I noticed Toge blush and I quickly pulled back, “S-Sorry! I just-!” I was interrupted.

“(Y/N)?” I heard the familiar voice call out, making my blood run cold. I slowly turned and saw Yuuji and Megumi walking towards us. “Hi…” I said softly. “What are you doing here, and with Inumaki?” He asked. I stared at him before answering. I noticed a shopping bag from a clothing store and another one from our favorite manga shop. “You know… just celebrating my birthday!” I forced a smile. I quickly felt the atmosphere turn sour, I watched as Yuuji took a few seconds to process what I said. “Y-Your birthday?” He asked. “That’s right! I was waiting for a certain someone to meet me at school, but they never showed up. So why let that ruin my plans on celebrating my birthday 2 weeks late because of someone…” I glared. He stared back speechless. “Someone idiotic, forgetful, and selfish… cause he forgot to meet someone who I thought was special to him, but obviously not since he decided to forget about me,” I said as I took another bite of cake. Yuuji continued frozen until Megumi awkwardly coughed. “O-Oh… well (Y/N) you gotta understand it was an accident! I- We- I had this dumb argument and then things lead to the other, and-“ he stumbled. “It’s fine, just shows that a girlfriend isn’t anything special. So why have one?” I shrugged. “N-No (Y/N) listen to-“

“I hear you loud and clear Itadori, don’t worry. You don’t want a girlfriend, so you don’t have a girlfriend,” I smiled. “But-“ he was interrupted by Megumi placing a hand on his shoulder. “No dude, she made up her mind. “Leave.” I turned as I heard Toge speak. I then turned back and watched as Yuuji and Megumi became entranced and turned around and walked away. I turned back to Toge who was rubbing his neck. “Toge I’m sorry, things got out of hand! I’m really sorry,” I said. “Kelp,” he said dryly. “Let’s go get you some medicine?” I asked. He nodded and we quickly cleaned up and headed to the market for throat medicine.

We were finally heading back to the dorms after the eventful day. “Thanks for hanging out with me, Toge. I was just gonna spend my late birthday by myself since Yuuji forgot about meeting me,” I said softly, as we sat in the train. “Bonito flakes…” he trailed off. “It meant a lot, so thanks!” I forced a smile. “Salmon,” he said and placed his hand on my head and pulled it into his chest. I was surprised by his actions, but the tears that were dwelling up finally let loose. I cried softly into his chest and gripped his shirt. This wasn’t the day I was expecting, but maybe the day I needed.

7135 Hollywood Blvd, Penthouse, Los Angeles, California - August 13th 2023, 7 am

Y/n opened the heart shaped waffle maker and smiled. The waffles came out perfectly. She bought the heart shaped waffle maker online and was glad it came on time and she managed to sneak it into Sebastian's penthouse without him knowing.

She was so grateful that her mother had taught her the waffle recipe. It was the best waffle in the world in her opinion and she hoped Sebastian would like them as much as she did.

Her thoughts went to her mother as she placed the waffles on a plate and started to pour another ladle of batter into the waffle maker.

Her mother had been calling her almost everyday, and even though her mother always said that she sounded different every time she picked up the call, she still loved talking and hearing her voice.

Her mother's behavior felt somewhat off to her because her mother usually was not one who was too clingy. She usually just calls her once or twice a month and just texts her most days. But this time she acted really differently.

She asked details about her day, making her have to come up with things to say because obviously she couldn't tell what she was actually doing.

Every time her mother called her she asked her if there was something wrong but her mother kept telling her nothing was wrong and she just missed her. The one thing she did ask often was when she was able to come and visit her and her dad.

She couldn't answer that question yet. But now that Aurora was supposed to get out of jail the next day, she wondered if maybe she could ask Aurora to go on her behalf. And maybe she could come too. That way her parents could still see her and she could still see them too. There was no way she was going to let Aurora go alone. She didn't trust Aurora would treat her parents well.

Several minutes later she finally finished making all the waffles and she placed all ten of them onto a clean white plate then started decorating them with strawberries, whipped cream and powdered sugar.

She then placed it in the middle of a large tray and started putting other items on it, including a special mini birthday cake she had ordered with the writing on it "You're Too Good To Be True".

Yes, that was what Sebastian was to her and it also referred to the song they heard on the radio the night they first made love. She thought it was the perfect thing to write on the cake.

She also added some more items on the tray. A mug of almond macadamia latte she just made, a glass of Rosa's famous smoothie and mini bowls filled with blueberries and cashews. She also put a small rectangular package on it wrapped in black and silver wrapping paper. It was her special gift for Sebastian.

She was confused on what to get for his birthday because he was able to get anything he wanted being the rich and successful actor that he was. So she was glad she could find the unique gift. Something she hoped no one had ever given him before.

She also added a frame with a picture of Sebastian wearing the tiara in the movie Endings Beginnings in it, which never failed to make her laugh a little every time she saw it. She also put another frame next to it with a selfie picture of her and Sebastian during their first date.

Her heart tugged a little at the sight of her as Aurora and Sebastian in the picture. Her mouth turned into a little frown as she realized there was no way she would ever be Sebastian's girlfriend if she was not in Aurora's body.

She wondered again how long the switch would last and whether the private investigators had found the Gypsy woman yet. She didn't want to ask them for updates because she didn't want them to think she needed them to find the Gypsy woman fast. As a matter of fact, if they couldn't find her at all, it would be much better for her. So she decided to just let them contact her first.

She finally finished preparing the breakfast tray by adding a mini silver and black birthday banner with "Happy Birthday Sebastian Mi Rey Guapo" written on it and put a small bouquet of sunflowers at the corners.

She looked down at the birthday breakfast tray on the kitchen table and smiled. She was quite proud at what she was able to accomplish in just several days and how she managed to sneak everything into his penthouse without him knowing.

She grabbed her cell phone nearby, took a picture of the tray, then she took the tray carefully to his bedroom.

Sebastian was still asleep. He was usually already awake at this hour but she guessed he was tired. They had quite an eventful night after the events at Edith's gala. She never knew she could ever make love as wild as she did last night with him. But seeing him defending her and being all protective and possessive of her somehow triggered something in her. It was a miracle she could still wake up at 5 that morning to prepare everything.

She placed the birthday breakfast tray carefully on the nightstand and leaned down to give Sebastian a soft kiss on his cheek. He was sleeping on his side, facing the nightstand. She sat slowly next to him and caressed his cheek gently, making him stir.

"Mi rey, wake up." She said softly as she continued to caress his cheek.

"Hmm..?" Sebastian responded as his eyes slowly fluttered awake.

"Happy birthday mi rey." She said and Sebastian smiled wide as his eyes opened fully.

"Thank you mi reina." He croaked, his voice still sounded deep and rough but she loved hearing it, it was so sexy to her.

She leaned closer to him and placed a gentle kiss on his lips, making him smile, and for a moment they were lost in the kiss, forgetting everything.

His hand reached up and pulled her head closer to him as their kiss deepened and became more passionate and she felt butterflies flying in her stomach.

She broke the kiss after a while, trying to ignore the warm feeling she had at the bottom of her core and focus on the surprise she had for him.

"Mi rey, I have a surprise for you. Tada!' She smiled as she gestured towards the breakfast tray.

"Oh my God! Mi reina! This is amazing!" Sebastian gushed, his whole face lit up as he sat up and his eyes registered the tray.

"Do you like it?" She asked nervously as Sebastian continued to study the items on the tray. He laughed as his finger brushed over the frame with a picture of him wearing a tiara.

"Are you kidding me? I love it! I never had anyone prepared a birthday breakfast tray like this. Thank you so much mi reina." He smiled and he pulled her closer then hugged her tight.

"You're welcome, mi rey." She said. Her heart felt warm as they hugged each other tight.

"I love you so much, thank you, mi reina." He whispered into her ear, making her shiver.

"I love you so much too, mi rey." She whispered back, feeling glad he liked the birthday tray.

He released her and his arms went around her waist as he gazed at her with love in his eyes.

"You really are the best thing that ever happened to me." He said and she could feel warmth crawling from her neck up to her cheeks.

He leaned down to kiss her gently, making her feel the butterflies in her stomach again.

Once again they were lost in the act of kissing but she didn't mind being lost like that.

"When did you have the time to prepare this?" He asked, finally breaking the kiss after a while.

"Oh, just this morning." She replied.

"You baked me a cake this morning?" He asked, his jaw dropped.

"I wish I could." She chuckled. " But I didn't make the cake myself. I ordered it from Magnolia bakery." She said, referring to one of LA's best bakeries.

"Oh, of course." He nodded.

"But I prepared everything else except the smoothie, myself." She added.

"Wow, that's amazing, mi reina.The waffles especially, they look so pretty and delicious." He commented.

"They're my mother's recipe." She smiled.

"That's cool. I'm sure they taste amazing." He commented.

"I sure hope so. Do you want to try them now?" She asked.

"Oh yeah, I would love to." He responded enthusiastically.

"Before we dig in, I want you to open this." She said, taking the rectangular package from the tray and giving it to him.

"Oh, what's this?" He asked as he started to slowly open the package.

"Something unique I hope no one had ever given you." She replied. Her heart beating faster in her chest as she watched Sebastian continue to open the package.

He finally finished unwrapping the package to find a dark blue velvet box. He opened it slowly and upon seeing what's inside his eyes widened.

In the velvet box laid a silver circular pendant with a map of stars engraved on it.

"It's a star map. The map of the stars above Constanta the day you were born." She explained and his jaw dropped.

"Oh my God, mi Reina, this is so thoughtful of you. It's so beautiful!" He gushed as he picked up the pendant from the box, a chain of silver necklace connected to it.

"Turn it around." She said and he obeyed.

At the back of the pendant was engraved the sentence "The night a star was born".

Sebastian smiled as he read the sentence. And if her eyes didn't play tricks on her, it seemed his eyes watered a little.

"This is the best gift anyone has ever given me. Thank you so much mi reina. I love it!" He looked up at her, giving her a look of complete adoration, making her heart soar in her chest.

"I'm so happy that you love it, mi rey." She smiled.

"How does it look on me?" He asked, putting the necklace and pendant around his neck.

"It looks amazing." She smiled, making him smile back.

"Thank you, again, mi reina. I love you so much." He said wholeheartedly, making her heart warm.

"You're welcome mi rey, and I love you so much too." She smiled and she leaned close to give him a peck on his lips.

"Anyway, you should postpone thanking me again until the end of the day because this is not over yet." She smiled, a twinkle in the corner of her eyes.

"Oohh.. I can't wait to know what else you have in store for me." He responded.

"Well, I booked a spa treatment for you today." She said and his eyebrows raised.

"A spa treatment?"

"Yeah, I know it sounds like it's for girls but I know you like to do facials and manicures and stuff right?" She stated and he laughed.

"Well.. sometimes.." He trailed.

"It's okay mi rey, I booked a gentleman's spa fit for men."

"Okay, interesting." He nodded. "You're gonna be there too, right?"

"Umm.. no.. I have something else to do for tonight, so."

"Aurora, what are you planning?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Okay, I'll just explain what I plan for us today."

"Okay, go on." He said, looking at her with a small smile on his lips.

"So, after this delicious breakfast, someone is gonna come here and give you the spa treatment here. Since you have a bathtub I figured you could just have your spa treatment here. I hope you're okay with that." She asked, hoping he wouldn't mind.

"Okay. That's fine as long as they clean everything up afterwards." He said.

"Yeah, don't worry, they will clean up. I asked them to do it."

"Okay. What next?" He asked.

"Afterwards I thought I should fulfill my promise of taking you on a picnic. So, we'll have a picnic for lunch!" She announced and he smiled.

"Oh I love a picnic! Where are you taking me?"

"It's a surprise." She winked and he laughed.

"Okay. You mentioned something about tonight. What's going on tonight?" He asked, his eyebrows raised.

"Well, after the picnic I thought we could watch a movie together and have, like, a movie date night and a romantic dinner. So I'm gonna set up my house for that." She replied, hoping he would buy it because she actually had something else planned for him and she hoped he wouldn't figure it out.

"It sounds amazing, mi reina. I love it! Although, I hope you could stay and have the spa treatment with me?" He asked, giving her puppy dog eyes.

"As much as I would love to stay, I have to prepare for the picnic and the movie night and romantic dinner." She replied.

"Okay, I get it. Thank you so much, mi reina. I never feel so spoiled before!" He gushed and she smiled.

"You deserve it mi rey. You're an amazing man and I want you to enjoy yourself today. Today is your day." She said making him smile.

For a moment they just stared at each other and once again she felt like he was seeing into her soul, making her heart skip a beat.

"I'm the luckiest man on earth. I don't deserve you." He said gently as he placed one hand on the side of her face, making her heart skip a beat.

He leaned closer to her and their lips finally met again, making her heart burst out of her chest. Oh what would she give to be able to be with this amazing man for the rest of her life, but she knew her time with him was soon coming to an end, and she couldn't help but feel sad about it that her eyes started to water.

She broke the kiss and sniffled as a tear dropped from her eyes.

"Mi reina, why are you crying?" Sebastian asked, his eyebrows furrowed in concern as he wiped the tear away from her cheek.

"Nothing. I just.. I love you so much and I wish we could stay like this forever." She sighed.

"Well, we can just stay in the penthouse today if you don't want to go anywhere and just enjoy the whole day together." He said.

"Yeah, but I also want to give the best birthday to you so I need to do some preparation." She replied.

His eyes softened as he heard her. She really loved seeing that look on his face and wondered again if he would ever give her the same look if she was in her own body.

"Why don't you just cancel the spa and I can come with you and help prepare everything." He suggested.

"No!" She quickly interjected. She couldn't let him know what she really was up to. She wanted tonight to be a surprise for him so he needed to stay away from her for several hours.

"I mean, like I said, I want you to enjoy your day and not think about anything. So you should just stay here and enjoy the spa and that's an order." She said and he smiled.

"Okay, your wish is my command mi reina." He said and he picked her hand up then kissed it gently, making her heart flutter.

"Anyway, I'm dying to try the waffle and the cake. Let's dig in now." He suggested and she nodded.

And so they spent the morning enjoying the breakfast she had prepared, laughing and giggling as they ate.

Somewhere on a hill near Mulholland Drive, LA - August 13th 2023, 2 pm

Her hand held his hand tight as she guided him to climb towards the spot she had prepared for their picnic that day. The rough terrain gradually changed smoother until they found themselves on top of a hill facing the beautiful view of LA.

"Oh my God, this is so beautiful, mi reina!" Sebastian gushed as they stared at a lovely spot under a big tree where she had spread some blankets and put on some fluffy pillows.

"I know, right? The view is amazing." She smiled as she continued to pull his hand and guided them towards the big tree.

It was 2 in the afternoon so it was rather hot, but the big tree successfully covered them from the sun. The gentle breeze of the wind passed them by every now and then as they settled down and she started to arrange all the food and drinks on the blanket.

They were at a secluded spot on a hill not far from Aurora's castle. She had asked Rosa and Gabriella if they knew of a good picnic spot and Gabriella showed her the spot. It was a tough climb to get there but it was all worth it.

"Mi reina, is that what I think it is?" Sebastian asked as she pulled out a thin large box from the picnic basket.

"Uh huh." She smiled as she put the box on the blanket and opened it revealing a large pizza.

"You brought Rubirosa's pizza here?!" Sebastian's jaw dropped.

"Yup." She chuckled as she saw his expression.

"How?" He asked, his eyes still showed disbelief.

"I have my resources." She winked, making him laugh.

"I love you." He blurted out and her heart felt warm at that.

"I love you too, mi rey." She smiled as she reached out and patted his hand.

"Come here." He said, pulling her hand and guided her to sit on his lap.

She climbed onto his lap and sat down facing him then looped her arms around his neck. She looked down and smiled as she felt his hands caressing her back, his eyes gazing at her full with love and admiration, making her feel like her heart was going to burst out of her chest.

She gazed at his beautiful ocean blue eyes and couldn't believe how much she was in love with him. He had her whole heart and no one else could ever replace him in her heart.

His hand reached up to caress her cheek as his gorgeous ocean blue eyes continued to gaze at her with love and adoration.

"Mi reina, I don't know what I did to deserve any of this. Never in my life have I felt so loved and cared for. I mean, just over a month ago I thought you didn't care for me you know. But suddenly you transformed into the most amazing, thoughtful and caring woman, and it feels like you're a completely different person." He said and her heart tugged at his words.

"Anyway, I'm so glad you changed and that somehow you fell in love with me the way I fell in love with you too." He continued and she nodded.

"I'm so glad too." She smiled.

"You deserve the world, mi rey. You are the most amazing, kind and loving man I have ever known and I think what I've done is just a fraction of what you deserve." She continued.

"Mi reina, you're gonna make me cry." He chuckled as she saw his eyes watered a little.

"It's okay mi rey. I might just cry too." She said as she realized how much longer they had time to be together in peace. After Aurora got out of jail tomorrow she needed to be ready for anything.

"Well then we can't have that. We're supposed to be happy today and not cry." He stated and she nodded.

"I agree. By the way, if, after today, I slip back into my old self. Just know there is always a part of me that loves you so much." She said, making his eyebrows furrowed.

"What do you mean by that, mi reina?" He asked.

"Just.. just remember that, okay?" She said and he nodded even though his eyebrows still furrowed a little.

She leaned down and captured his lips on hers, not wanting to continue their conversation because she didn't want to be reminded how with each passing minute her time with him slowly came to an end.

They kissed like there was no tomorrow. Her heart ached as she remembered again how different things could be between them the next day. As they kissed she hoped that some kind of miracle would happen that could prolong her time with him. Less than a month with him was just too short.

Like most new lovers, they ended up having a prolonged kissing session under the tree that they ignored the food and drinks for a long while. It wasn't until her stomach rumbled a little that he stopped kissing her.

"I think it's time to refuel." He chuckled.

"Yeah. Sorry." She said sheepishly, making him smile.

"It's okay, mi reina. I'm hungry too. I can't wait to have a taste of the pizza. It still baffles me how you're able to bring the original Rubirosa pizza all the way from New York." He said as he got off from on top of her and sat crossed legged on the blanket.

"Like I said, I have my resources." She winked and he laughed.

She had prepared not just Rubirosa pizza but also garden salad and assorted fruits. They had a heavy breakfast with waffles and cake that she thought they should have something light aside from the pizza for lunch.

Sebastian's hand slowly extended towards the pizza and she immediately shouted.

"Wait! I want you to do something first before we eat." She interjected, making Sebastian raise his eyebrows.

"Oh okay." He nodded.

She pulled out some small candles from the picnic basket and started arranging them on top of the pizza, making him smile.

"We didn't get to do it this morning even though we had cake because I forgot to buy some candles." She said and he chuckled.

"So I want you to make a wish now." She said after she finished arranging the candles and lit them up.

"Okay." He nodded and took a deep breath.

"Wait, let's sing first!" She exclaimed and he laughed.

She clapped her hands and sang happy birthday while Sebastian looked at her with his face reddened. He was so cute and endearing, making her heart warm. Eventually she stopped singing and stared at him expectantly.

"I only wish that you will always be with me, mi reina." He said, making her heart drop to her stomach.

"Mi rey! Don't say it! Or it won't come true." She protested even though deep down she knew it would never come true. Not with her inside Aurora's body anyway.

He laughed and continued to blow the candles in one breath, leaving just one stubborn candle still lit up that he ended up taking another breath and blew it last.

She was not a superstitious person but she knew that for a wish to come true, the person should blow all the candles in one breath and not say the wish out loud. The fact he didn't succeed in doing both made her feel sad but she tried hard to hide it. She didn't want to make Sebastian sad on his birthday.

She sighed and started to take the candles off from the pizza.

"Mi reina, I'm sorry if I made you upset." Sebastian said, looking at her intently.

Sebastian was very perceptive, she should have known he would pick up on her change of mood.

"I'm not upset, mi rey, I'm okay." She smiled wide at him but he didn't seem to buy it.

"Hey, we can just relit the candles and I can make a wish again and blow the candles again." He suggested, making her smile.

"That won't be necessary, mi rey. It's okay. It's just a superstition." She shrugged.

"Are you sure? I hate it if I make you feel upset."

"I'm not upset, mi rey. I'm okay. Let's just eat." She smiled and he finally nodded.

Even if he succeeded in blowing all the candles in one breath and didn't say his wish out loud she was sure they were going to separate anyway. So there was no use being upset over nothing. She thought as she picked up a slice of the pizza and started eating it.

She decided to try and forget what may happen tomorrow and just focus on the present moment, enjoying all the time she had left with him.

Time flew by so fast that before they knew it, the afternoon had flown by and it was 6 pm.

They were lying side by side on the blanket, facing each other. His finger traced the side of her face as he gazed at her lovingly.

"You're so beautiful, Aurora." He whispered, making her feel bittersweet.

"Would you still say that if I look like Y/n?" She blurted out and quickly closed her mouth. She couldn't believe she had the guts to ask him that.

"What?" Sebastian asked in confusion.

"Nevermind." She shook her head.

"Why did you ask me that?" He asked.

"I.. I just wonder.. you know. If people would still love me and like me if I look like Y/n."

"Aurora, Y/n is beautiful too although not in a conventional way. But, she has great personality that I think it doesn't matter what she looks like. People would still love her." He replied and her heart soared in her chest.

"Really? You think that?" She asked, her eyes widened.

"Yeah. I mean, she may not be my type but a man out there would like and love her, I'm sure of that." He replied and her heart plummeted.

Yeah, but I only want you. She thought sadly.

Suddenly the sound of a cellphone ringing traveled to her ears. Aurora's cellphone was ringing.

"Sorry, I thought I put it on silent." She said as she started to get up.

"It's okay mi reina. It's 6 already, maybe we should get back to your house if we want to continue to watch a movie and have a romantic dinner." He said as he glanced at his watch and got up too.

"Yeah." She nodded as her hand pulled out Aurora's cellphone from her handbag.

She thought Rosa or Gabriella was calling her, to ask her about the preparation for tonight but her eyes widened and her heart beat raised as she saw the name of the caller on the screen.

The private investigator was calling!

"Who is it?" Sebastian asked, looking at her intently.

"Oh, just Rosa. I have to take this. Will you excuse me for a minute?" She said and he nodded.

"Sure. In the mean time I'll clean up." Sebastian said and he started to clean the blanket from all the remaining food and drinks while she stood up and walked further away from him.

"Hello?" She said, picking up the call.

"Hello Miss Watson. Sorry to bother you." The investigator greeted her.

"Oh, it's okay. You don't bother me at all. Is there an update?" She asked, biting her bottom lip.

"Yes, as a matter of fact there is. And I'm really sorry but it's not a good update." The investigator replied, making her raise her eyebrows.

"Oh, why is that?" She asked.

"Well, we found the Gypsy woman but it was too late." The investigator sighed.

"What do you mean too late?" She asked, her heart pounded hard in her chest.

"The Gypsy woman.. it seems she is dead, Miss Watson."

"What?!" Her jaw dropped.

"She was on a cruise vacation to the Carribean and her ship got caught in a huge storm. The last time the captain of the ship contacted the cruise company they seemed to have hit something, which destroyed a part of the ship and it started to sink." The investigator explained.

"What?!" Her heart plummeted as she heard the news.

"We're still trying to find more information but so far search and rescue haven't been able to find them."

"Oh my God." She said as her mind tried to grapple with the situation. The Gypsy woman was dead?!

"We're really sorry Miss Watson. But we'll try to find more information and let you know if they find the ship."

"I.. of course, thank you. Please do keep me updated." She replied.

"We will." The investigator responded.

"Thank you." She said and they finally hung up.

Her hand shook as she placed Aurora's cellphone in her pocket. She looked up to see the beautiful view of LA in the distance and slowly the realization started to sink in.

If the Gypsy woman really was dead, that meant she was stuck in Aurora's body forever! And she could be with Sebastian forever!

She knew she was supposed to be sad that people were dying on that cruise ship, but she couldn't help the smile that started to spread on her lips and the soaring feeling in her chest as the thought finally settled in her head.

She would be rich forever! She would be beautiful forever! And the best part was, she was going to be with Sebastian forever!

She turned around and found him walking towards her. The blanket was folded, pillows stacked on top of it and all the food and drinks had been put into the picnic basket.

She ran towards him and met him halfway, crashing into him and hugged him tight, startling him.

"Mi reina, what's going on?" He chuckled as they held each other tight.

"I love you." She could only say as she looked up at him with a huge smile on her face.

"I love you too, mi reina. But what happened? Who was that on the phone?" He asked curiously.

"Just Rosa, she told me some good news." She said, trying to come up with a lie.

"Oh, about what?" He asked.

"About tonight." She smiled mischievously.

"Mi reina, what are you up to?" He asked, his eyebrows raised.

"You'll see." She smiled. "Come on, let's go back to my place."

"Okay." He chuckled and they started to go down the hill, carrying the blanket, pillows and the picnic basket with them.

She couldn't wait to get back to Aurora's castle and give him the surprise she had prepared for him. When she thought that the day would be a good day, she didn't think it would be this good and she was so grateful for it.

13320 Mulholland Drive, LA, California - August 13th 2023 - 6.45 pm

She drove Sebastian's car carefully along Mulholland Drive, heading towards Aurora's castle. She had blindfolded Sebastian before they left for Aurora's castle so he couldn't drive.

At first he didn't want to be blindfolded, but she was quite persuasive that he ended up agreeing to be blindfolded.

"Aurora, where are you taking me?" He asked as she finally stopped in front of the gate of Aurora's castle.

"My house." She replied as she opened the window and pressed some code into the intercom. Moments later the gate opened automatically.

"Why the blindfold?" He asked again.

"Mi rey, you'll soon find out." She chuckled as she continued to drive further into the driveway.

There were several cars already parked in front of the castle and some in the garage. But she found an empty spot right in front of the front entrance meant for her and Sebastian.

She stopped the car and looked inside the castle. She could see some people inside milling about and heard the faint sound of music coming out of the house.

"Do I hear some music?" He asked and her heart jumped in surprise.

"Yeah, Maybe it's the neighbours." She quickly replied as she scrambled to pick up her cellphone from her bag and quickly texted Gabriella, letting her know that she and Sebastian had arrived.

"You're throwing me a surprise birthday party are you?" He said and she pouted.

"No." She replied, still trying not to fail in surprising him.

She looked back towards the house and noticed the music had been turned off and everything seemed to be quiet.

"Mi reina, it's okay, I'll act surprised in front of the guests. I promise." He said.

"What are you talking about?" She asked, feigning innocence and he laughed.

He extended his hand to touch her and somehow he succeeded in touching the side of her face. He then leaned closer and kissed her right on her lips, making her heart burst out of her chest.

"I love you." He said, breaking the kiss and she smiled.

"No one had ever thrown me a surprise birthday party, so I'm so grateful that you're doing this for me." He said, making her smile even wider.

"Mi rey, who says I'm throwing you a surprise birthday party?" She asked and he laughed again.

"Okay, I guess you still want to play this game huh?" He said.

"What game?" She asked.

"Okay, now I'm starting to think you are NOT throwing me a surprise birthday party."

"That's because I'm not."

"Alright, whatever it is, let's get out of here. I can't wait to take this blindfold off."

She chuckled and soon got out of the car and went to Sebastian's side of the car. She helped him got out of the car and guided him to walk up the steps towards the entrance.

"I'm nervous." Sebastian said and she smiled.

"Oh mi rey, don't be. It's gonna be okay." She said, patting his hand and he nodded.

"Okay, let's get inside." She said as she slowly opened the door.

She looked around and found the house to be decorated with silver and black. Tons of silver and black balloons with long silver streamers floated on the ceiling. A "Happy Birthday Sebastian" writing made from bright LED lamps hung on the wall in the living room with sparkling silver streamers as the background. Surrounding the sparkling backdrop were black and silver balloon garlands, giving the backdrop an elegant yet playful feel. Underneath it had been set up a circular table with a two level cake frosted in black with the writing "Happy Birthday Sebastian" in silver in front of it.

She was happy to see how the decoration had turned up. Gabriella and Rosa did a great job.

"Mi reina, what's going on?" Sebastian asked as they walked towards the living room and she could see some heads hiding behind sofas and furniture around the living room.

"I need you to stop here, mi rey." She said as they finally stopped in the middle of the living room and she guided him to face the decorated table and backdrop.

One particular head popped up from behind a sofa, it was Chace. He smiled as he looked at her then one by one other heads started to pop up and she smiled as she saw all of Sebastian's friends and colleagues that were there.

She gestured for all of them to come out and gather in front of the backdrop and she finally took off Sebastian's blindfold slowly.

"Surprise!!!" Sebastian's friends and colleagues shouted out loud and despite seemingly knowing what was about to happen, Sebastian still visibly jumped and clutched his chest, making her laugh.

"Oh my God, you guys!" He said, smiling from ear to ear making her heart warm. She loved to see him being so happy.

"Happy birthday my dear son." A woman suddenly walked towards him with her arms wide open and Sebastian's jaw dropped.

"Mom?!" He exclaimed out loud as she finally reached him and hugged him tight.

"Surprised to see me here?" His mother asked and he nodded vigorously.

"Aurora wanted me to come. She said it would mean the world to you and her if I could come, so of course I came." His mother explained, smiling wide at him.

"Thank you so much, mom. I didn't think you would be here today. I thought you had a recital to monitor today." He responded.

"Well, neither did I. But Aurora managed to persuade the principal to postpone the recital until next week." His mother said and his eyes widened.

"Your girlfriend here can be very persuasive." His mother smiled as she turned to look at her.

"Well I just want everyone that's near and dear to Sebastian to be here tonight and of course you are the number one person I think about." She smiled back at her.

"Thank you, Aurora. This really means a lot." Sebastian pulled her by her waist and kissed her gently, making her smile.

"You're welcome, Sebastian. Now take a look around and see who else has come for you." She smiled and he smiled.

He released her and started to go around the room and greeted his friends. She had invited all of his colleagues that had worked with him that lived in LA and she also invited his best friends who lived in other cities.

She was so glad that most of them were available and agreed to come. Seeing Sebastian's bright smiling face as he greeted all his friends and colleagues was worth it.

"I've never seen him so happy." His mother said as they stood side by side and stared at him.

"Really?" She asked.

"Yes. You bring so much joy in his life. I can see that. And I really appreciate it." His mother turned to her and patted her shoulder, making her heart feel warm.

"Oh, I'm glad if I can bring him happiness, Mrs.Frank. Because he brings me happiness too. And he is such an amazing and kind man that he deserves all the world. And that is all thanks to you. You are an amazing mother." She gushed and his mother smiled.

"Why thank you, Aurora. I appreciate it. You know, I didn't think you were different from the other girls he dated, but I can see now that you're actually so different from the others." His mother commented.

"Oh, how so?" She asked curiously.

"The others were kind of full of themselves and took advantage of him. You on the other hand, you think of him first. I knew it since you gave him all those gifts when he was recovering from the accident." His mother explained.

"Oh, right." She nodded. "I knew how upset he must be after the accident and that he couldn't continue filming as scheduled. So I just did what I could to make him happy again."

"And happy you made him feel. All those food and drinks were delicious!"

"Thank you Mrs.Frank. I'm glad you liked them." She smiled wide, happy to know that his mother thought of her that way.

"By the way, excuse me for a minute. I think Antonia just came through the door." His mother said and she looked towards the front door to see Antonia, Sebastian's godmother, came through the door.

She ended up greeting Antonia too but then as host of the party she resorted to making sure that the food and drink were plenty and that everyone was having fun.

Like in every birthday party, Sebastian had to make a wish and blow out all the candles again. He whispered into her ear as they stood next to each other behind the cake as all the guests clapped and sang happy birthday.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna mess up this time."

She smiled and looked up at him.

"I know."

He smiled and the guests stopped singing. He paused and stared at the bright candles in front of him and closed his eyes as his hand held her hand tight. Then he opened his eyes, took a deep breath and blew out all the candles successfully.

"You did it!" She exclaimed as she clapped along with all the guests.

"I sure did." He said as he turned around to face her, smiled then kissed her gently, making her feel butterflies in her stomach.

She started to break the kiss after a while but his hand reached up and held her head in place.

"I'm not done yet." He whispered and she smiled against his lips.

"Oh, get a room you two." She could hear Anthony protested, making her laugh and Sebastian finally broke the kiss.

"Stop with the kissing and give us some cake!" Anthony continued and Sebastian shook his head.

"Coming, Anthony." Sebastian responded as she picked up a knife from the table and gave it to him.

He carefully cut the first slice and gave it to his mother. Then he cut up the second slice and gave it to her.

"Thank you, mi rey." She smiled as she accepted the cake from him.

"No, thank you. Thank you for an amazing day, mi reina. I love you so much." He said as he leaned close to her and kissed her again.

"Oh come on! Where's the cake?" Anthony protested, making the whole room laugh.

"Coming, Anthony. Here, the third slice is for you." Sebastian said, breaking the kiss and turned towards the cake again.

"Finally!" Anthony shouted out loud making everyone laugh as he accepted the cake from Sebastian.

Eventually all the guests had their portion of the cake. She sat on one of the sofas near the circular table, a plate of the cake in her hand while Sebastian sat next to her enjoying the cake as well. She took a bite of the cake and hummed in appreciation.

She had ordered peanut butter and chocolate cake inspired by the cupcakes she had made for him less than a month ago and it absolutely did not disappoint.

"Mi reina, this cake is amazing!" Sebastian gushed as he took another bite of the cake.

"I'm really happy that you like it." She smiled and turned to look at him.

"I don't know how I'm gonna be able to top what you've done for me today. Today has been truly amazing! This is the best birthday ever! Thank you so much!" He said as he extended his hand to hers and squeezed it gently.

"Mi rey, I'm happy to do it. To see you smile and be happy is all I need. You don't need to think of topping this for me." She said, squeezing his hand back.

"But I want to. You deserve the world, mi reina. And I'll give it to you tonight." He winked then leaned closer to her ear, whispering the things he would do to her once all the guests had gone home that night, making her face redden.

She couldn't help but feel a slight warmth at her core as she listened to him. Oh how this man was going to be the death of her tonight but of course she didn't mind.

It was 1 in the morning when she stood side by side with Sebastian in front of the front entrance as the last guest, who was Sebastian's mother, finally drove away.

Her mother was driven by Nelson back to Sebastian's penthouse while he decided to stay behind and help her clean up.

Well, she knew it was just an excuse so he could stay with her because Gabriella and Rosa were still there to clean up.

"Thank you again, mi reina, for everything." Sebastian said, turning towards her and pulled her closer to him by her waist.

"You're very welcome, mi rey. Just seeing you smile makes me very happy." She smiled as she looped her arms around his neck and gazed at him with love in her eyes

"Te quiero mucho, mi hermosa reina." He whispered and she smiled.

"Yo también, te quiero mucho, mi rey guapo." She whispered back.

He leaned down and started kissing her again as if there was no tomorrow, making her heart burst out her chest.

"Come on, I want to do that thing to you that I told you about." He broke the kiss after a while and gestured his head inside, making her blush.

They went back inside holding hands, laughing and giggling as they went up the stairs towards Aurora's room, passing Rosa and Gabriella who just smiled and nodded at them as they gave them knowing looks.

Her heart felt so full to the brim of love for him as they entered Aurora's bedroom and started kissing and undressing each other. She couldn't believe how this day ended.

She thought today would be the last day she could be with him. But apparently God had a different plan and she still couldn't believe how she might be stuck as Aurora forever!

Life was finally good to her and she intended to not waste it. She had an amazing body and beautiful face, so she made a promise to herself not to waste it and to be more mindful about her diet and exercise more. She had all the money in the world and she made a promise to herself to be responsible in her spending so she wouldn't lose it all. And the most important thing, she had the most amazing man to be called her boyfriend. She definitely wouldn't take him for granted and would try with all her power to make this man happy and love him with all her heart and soul.

However, she forgot that Aurora had baggage in the form of her controlling family and she herself had some responsibilities in her own family.

Like everything in life, all that is good must come to an end.

And the end was unfortunately too near for her.

13320 Mulholland Drive, LA, California - August 14th 2023, 6.30 am

She felt it before she opened her eyes. Sebastian's gentle kiss on her temple. She smiled and slowly opened her eyes to find him gazing at her with mesmerized eyes.

"How can someone look so beautiful when they just woke up?" He asked as his fingers brushed along her cheek, making her shiver.

"They can't." She replied, smiling.

"Yet, here you are. You just woke up but you look like a beautiful goddess, mi reina." He said, making her blush.

He leaned close to her and kissed her gently, making her heart burst out of her chest.

She definitely could get used to waking up like this forever.

Like always, they ended up making love again that morning as if last night was not enough for them.

She held him tight as the amazing feeling washed over her several minutes later and she giggled watching him grunt as he also came into her.

"I love you, mi reina." He said breathlessly.

"I love you too, mi rey." She smiled as she reached up and placed both hands on the sides of his face and studied his gorgeous eyes.

"I wish we could just stay like this forever." She whispered.

"Me too. However, I have an important scene to do today." He said as he gave a peck on her lips and got off her to lay next to her, taking deep breaths.

"Oh yeah, that scene with Rooney." She said, turning to look at him.

"Yeah. You want to come and see us shoot?" He asked.

"Umm.." She didn't have anything to do that day but Aurora was getting out of jail and she knew she should wait until she comes. There were a lot they needed to talk about. Especially with the news of the Gypsy woman being dead.

"I think I'm going to stay here today, I'm feeling kind of tired after yesterday." She said and he turned to look at her.

"Mi reina, I'm sorry if my birthday exhausted you." He said, his eyebrows furrowed in concern.

"Oh mi rey, it's okay. Seeing you so happy was so worth it. I would do it again in a heart beat." She smiled, placing her hand on the side of his face and leaned close to plant a deep kiss on his lips.

"I really don't deserve you." Sebastian said, breaking the kiss and giving her a look full of love and admiration.

"No, it's me who don't deserve you." She stated, making him smile and he kissed her again.

Sebastian finally left an hour later after taking a shower. She watched him drive away as she stood in front of the entrance of the house and felt somewhat weird. She knew they were going to see each other again later that day. She promised to come to his penthouse in the evening. But it felt as if something bad was going to happen.

Well, Aurora most likely was going to throw a tantrum knowing she could be stuck as her forever. She also knew what Aurora was capable of and she couldn't help but feel dread about it.

She went back to her bedroom to find her cellphone ringing. An unknown number was calling her.

"Hello." She picked up the call.

"It's me. I'm going out of jail today. Can you come and pick me up?" Aurora's.. well.. her voice came through the speaker of her cellphone.

"Oh, right. Sure. What time are you coming out?" She asked.

"They're processing the paper work, maybe in an hour." Aurora replied.

"Okay." She responded.

"Thanks." Aurora said and she hung up.

It still felt weird to her that Aurora thanked her. But it was definitely good progress with her. She hoped she was also going to be more civil when she receive the news about the Gypsy woman.

Century Regional Detention Facility (Lynwood Jail), Lynwood, California - August 14th 2023, 9 am

She stopped the car in front of the entrance to the detention facility and watched as Aurora, who was standing in front of the entrance, looking like a lost puppy, walked towards her.

Aurora opened the passenger car door and got in. Her heart tugged a little seeing the difference in how she looked. She had lost more weight as her cheek bones were more pronounced and her skin looked dull. But the thing that saddened her the most was seeing bruises on her cheek and cuts on her left eyebrow.

"Aurora, what happened to you?" She asked, her eyebrows furrowed.

"I got into a fight the other day with another inmate." Aurora shrugged.

"A fight?" She asked in disbelief.

"Yeah. She was making fun of how I look and how I would never get a single man to even look at me. It stung even though she was mocking you technically, and not me. I couldn't not do anything so I gave her what she deserved." Aurora explained.

"Which was?" She asked, dreading the answer but feeling somewhat grateful that Aurora would stick up for her.

"A blow to her jaw." Aurora replied, grinning as she said it.

"Ha!" She responded, not believing her ears.

"Yeah. And some bruises on her eyes and I might have broken her nose. I gave her a run for her money. So if someday she comes out of jail and you bump into her, don't be confused if she runs in the other direction." Aurora laughed and she laughed as well.

"Wait, you didn't get into trouble for that?" She asked, her eyes widened.

"I made friends with the prison warden. He excused my behavior knowing I was provoked. And.. umm.. I might have done something else I'm not proud of. But I guess, freedom costs something." Aurora replied and her jaw dropped.

"You did something for the prison warden?" She asked, her eyebrows raised.

"Yeah. Please just drop this off. It's not the first time I had to do it to get my way into things." Aurora said, her lips curled and she took a deep breath.

"Well, thank you for sticking up for me and for.. you know. Doing whatever you did to make the prison warden excuse your behavior." She said.

"I didn't do it for you. Well, not entirely, but you're welcome. I guess." Aurora said and she smiled a little.

"So, any news from the outside world?" Aurora asked as she turned the engine of the car on and started to drive.

"Oh yeah.. a lot." She said, wondering where she should start.

She finally told Aurora everything, starting with the fact that she and Sebastian were a real couple now. Then she filled her in on the situation with her family.

"Seb punched Adam?!" Aurora exclaimed out loud.

"Yeah, Adam was about to kiss me and Seb saw it." She explained.

"Oh great." Aurora sighed.

"I'm sorry. Is there something between you and Adam? You never told me about him." She asked.

"Well.. it was just one night after this gala event at my dad's. I was drunk and he was so nice. And well.. you know what can happen when you're drunk." Aurora sighed again.

"When was this?" She asked. "Were you already with Sebastian?" She asked.

"Yeah. I was like.. in the third month into my relationship with Seb."

"Did you see each other again after that?"

"No, I mean. I don't like the guy. He was kind of a jerk. He was too clingy too. Just one night and he thought he owned me. I told him I didn't want anything else to do with him anymore and he got angry at me." Aurora shrugged.

"Okay." She nodded, relieved that Aurora felt that way towards Adam.

"How did my parents take it?" Aurora asked.

"I'm sorry but, your mom was livid. And I'm sure your dad too but I don't know because I just left the gala after the fight and after telling your mom to stop making a big deal out of the incident." She explained.

"You told my mom off?" Aurora asked, her eyebrows raised.

"Well.. kind of. I'm sorry about that." She said.

"Wow. She must hate me even more now." Aurora said, the corners of her mouth turned down into a frown.

"Yeah. I'm.. I'm sorry." She said, feeling all guilty about it.

"Apologize to her. Give her a call and apologize." Aurora commanded.

"Okay, I will after we get home. And umm.. there's one more thing you need to know, two actually." She said, dreading Aurora's reaction.

"What?"

"Okay, the first one is your parents want you to marry Adam so they can give your dad's company to you. Because if not, they're thinking of giving it to Edith to run." She explained.

"What?! Oh great! This is just great!" Aurora exclaimed in dislike.

"Yeah, I'm sorry." She said again.

"Well, you have to break up with Seb. If my parents want me to marry Adam, then I need to be a good daughter and follow their advice. Besides, I don't want the company to fall into Edith's hands. There's just no way!" Aurora stated and her heart plummeted.

"But Aurora, I love Sebastian. I can't break up with him." She said, shaking her head vigorously.

"But I can't have the company fall into Edith's hands either!" Aurora shouted and she sighed.

"Aurora, listen to me. There's a second thing that I have to tell you." She said.

"What could possibly be more important than this?" Aurora asked.

"The Gypsy woman, Aurora."

"Oh! Did the investigators find her?" Aurora asked, a hint of hope in her voice.

"Yeah but they were too late."

"What do you mean late?"

"She.. umm.. they said she's dead." She said, grimacing.

"What the f**k!" Aurora shouted out loud.

"Yeah. So we may be stuck in each other's bodies forever." She continued.

"Oh there's just no way I'm staying in your body forever! No way in hell!" Aurora shouted again.

Well, this was more like the Aurora she knew.

"This is all your fault! If only you didn't take those potions then we wouldn't be here! You have to find a way so we can switch back!" Aurora commanded.

"But I don't know how!" She protested.

Just then her cellphone rang, startling both of them.

She took a deep breath and tried to stay calm as Aurora continued to curse.

"Could you pick that up? My mom is probably calling." She said, gesturing towards her handbag placed between them.

Aurora sighed but thankfully obeyed her.

"Hello?" Aurora answered the call.

"Hi dad. What's going on?" Aurora continued. Apparently her dad was on the phone.

"What?!" Aurora exclaimed out loud, making her heart tugged in her chest. She wondered what her dad was telling Aurora.

"I.. umm.. I'm really sorry to hear that, dad. I need to talk to Aurora first about this. I'll get back to you, okay?" Aurora said and her heart plummeted.

"Yeah. Bye now." Aurora said and she finally hung up.

"What's going on?" She asked.

"Umm.. you might want to stop the car for this." Aurora said, looking at her with her eyebrows knitted together.

"Oh. Okay." She said as she looked around trying to find a safe spot to park and finally decided to stop in front of a drugstore nearby.

"What did my dad tell you?" She asked immediately after she parked the car.

"It's your mom." Aurora said slowly.

"What about my mom?" She asked, her heart beat faster in her chest.

"She.. umm.. the doctors said she has stage four breast cancer." Aurora said slowly and she felt like a ton of bricks fell onto her head.

Loonie and her Dad

Loona cried the first time Blitz said he was proud of her

Unbeknownst to her imp father, after the incident at Ozzie’s, she set up an online dating profile for him and is trying to find him a good partner.

For her first Father’s Day with Blitz, Loona attempted to hand make him a stuffed horse. It came out oddly shaped and poorly sewn, but he has it on a literal pedestal in his home much to her embarrassment.

Loona still sometimes has nightmares about her past abuse. Blitz sits in her room with her and sings along to Spirit until she falls back asleep. Sometimes he stays in the room with her all night, just in case she needs him again.

The first time Loona was sick, Blitz cried because he didn’t know what to do to help her.

She won’t say it out loud, but Loona changed Blitz’s contact in her phone to Dad six months after her eighteenth birthday.

Her favorite nickname that Blitz has given her is Loonie Toonie

After finding out that her adoptive father suffers from depression, Loona made it her job to make sure he takes his antidepressants every morning, even if it involved forcing them down his throat herself.

During one of Blitz's depressive episodes, Loona slept in his room with him and sang along to Spirit the way he did for her when she had nightmares.

While she does it often around friends (Vortex and Via), the first time she called him Dad to his face was during a bout of depression where he couldn't get out of bed.

Blitz gets kind of jealous when Loona's upset but won't confide in him but he's grateful to her friends and Moxxie for always being there when she seemed to need them.

Blitz gets M&M to threaten anyone Loona dates since she said he needs to stop threatening her dates.

When Blitz gets back with Stolas after the incident at Ozzie's, Loona threatened the prince and promised it happened again, no one would find his body. Blitz was touched by the sentiment when he found out about this despite Stolas being genuinely terrified.

For her birthday, Blitz swallows his pride and gets verosika to sign a tour shirt for her after realizing how much Loona actually liked her.

Blitz also bakes her a strawberry cake from scratch for her birthday each year

After adopting her, Blitz spent hours online learning how to do various types of braids and makeup and researching girls fashion in an attempt to bond with the teen.

Blitz went full dad mode after the adoption and began carrying everything in the free world on him that he thought Loona may need when they were out. He carries everything from snacks to period products to a change of clothes.

Similarly, Loona began carrying Blitz’s medication and one small horse plushie for comfort when they’re out. The imp in question is never to know that though.

The horse obsession rubbed off on Loona after a while and now she can’t sleep at night without Spirit playing in the background.

Millie often takes candid father-daughter photos of the duo. Blitz frames every photo of him and Loona Milly gives him and despite her grumbling about each new picture, it’s Loona who suggests a family photo (including M&M), and it’s Loona who obsesses over the perfect place to hang the photo.

Before traveling to earth with Millie to "find the dumbass twins" when Moxxie and Blitz were trapped in D.H.O.R.K.S headquarters, Loona called Octavia in tears about being worried that her dad may not come home.

Blitz started going to therapy because he was afraid of turning into his dad when adopted Loona and felt that he owed it to her to work on himself.

Moxxie and Millie were both given hefty bonuses to hunt down and kill Loona's abusive adoptive parents prior to Blitz

Loona has never met any of her dad’s partners outside of Stolas because e Blitz knows they won’t last.

The lighter Blitz gave her was the first gift he ever gave her and she considers it one of her most prized processions.

what's your earliest memory related to your birthday? the most vivid birthday memory i have is from when i turned like, 7? 8? there's additional verses to the birthday song (funny verses might i add) in sweden and i asked my friends not to sing them and they still did and i got so mad/upset i walked out of the room. very dramatic baby kaka 😂

what's one of the best gifts you've ever received? the year everyone in my friend group turned 30, we all scrambled and bought each other one big, expensive gift and my friends got me a robo vaccuum which i had been saving for forever! it was very thoughtful becasue everyone knew realistically i would never have been able to save up myself bc poor.

how about one of the best you've given yourself? i don't think i've ever bought myself a birthday gift like that. i usually let myself spend on coin on crappy trinklet sites.

INTRODUCTION POST #1 02.9.2024

ENTRY #1: JELLI

My name is Jelli! my image color is strawberry pink and my zodiac is Taurus ♡ I was born in Japan and moved to southern california during primary school. I was always into idols when I was in middle school but didn't really understand what they were outside of "JPop" I just liked the music and costumes and even sang idol covers online back in the early 2010's. I joined the group because I wanted to perform with my friends and create music and art that was true to ourselves. I do feel like sometimes I can be the "frosting?" to the cake that is Aqu♡rius. I do a lot of the design and brand work. My specialty is marketing so I want to make sure our group story is communicated well. I LOVE light and simple desserts like strawberry cake, shortbread cookies, and strawberry chocolates. I also love Siopao which is a filipino steamed meat bun... so comforting, everything you need in one package. My favorite part about being in the group is performing together! I love being able to perform on stage with my friends, I can't describe the feeling better... we work so hard and being able to come together on a stage is exhilarating. I enjoy laughing and brainstorming together when working with Aqu♡rius. We all are so unique and have so many different ideas for the group and having it all come together is like one huge melting pot of gold! My dreams for the future are to perform overseas with Aqu♡rius. Ideally I would love if we all are able to go to Japan together and perform. For myself I want to also create more solo music and show everyone what Jelli can do!

ENTRY #2: LILY

Hello~ I am Lily! My image color is princess pink and my symbol is a princess crown. My sun and moon is a scorpio and my rising is a sagittarius. I was born in one of the more diverse cities in Southern California. Growing up Filipino, we love our karaoke! I would sing all the time at the parties when I was little. I remember wanting to become a popstar, like Hannah Montana. When Aqu♡rius was still an Aqours cosplay dance group, I was, actually, a part of their very first cover, Koi ni Naritai Aquarium in 2016. However, I was just subbing in at the time. In 2018, I temporarily joined Aqu♡rius again to be their Ruby for their Awaken the Power music video. When I did my last performance with them, I remember crying because I had such an amazing time hanging out, practicing and performing with them. It felt like I fit right in, and it saddened me that it was only for a short time. Later in 2019, they officially recruited me as a member to play Ruby. Of course, I said yes and joined! I feel like I am the organizer of the group. I help a lot with setting dates, making schedules, and help keep the group on track! I also love making the lyrics distribution and formation. Especially when we have to adjust a 10-person choreo to 7. It feels like I’m solving a puzzle and I love solving puzzles!! I am such a foodie! I have my holy trinity of food that makes me happy: Shabu Hot Pot, Sushi, and Seafood boil. I also love anything spicy. I think I have the highest spice tolerance amongst my members. My favorite part about being in Aqu♡rius is performing with a great group of friends. I’ve always wanted to perform, ever since I was a kid. I thought that life was impossible until I met them. I feel the most at-home when I am on stage doing what I love. I love how we are consistently trying to improve ourselves and each other. We get to see each other grow. It’s such a rewarding feeling. My dream for the future is to perform overseas with Aqu♡rius! Maybe..Japan…at Tokyo IdolFest…? Haha! My personal goals for myself is to make more original songs and content!

ENTRY #3: HALEY

Hello everyone! My name is Haley and I am the berry purple member of Aquarius. My birthday is on November 24th and my zodiac sign is Sagittarius. I was born and raised in Southern California where it has always has been hot and anytime it rained it was like the streets are drowning. I grew up pretty much my whole life in a small town kind of in the middle of nowhere. I do like my little town life and I really prefer that over the big cities.Through out my childhood I have always been active and I tried several different sports and activities such as softball, volleyball, etc. and then in high school I did cheer. In terms of hobbies, I was introduced to anime and cosplay by my best friend Ko in middle school and that is how I ended up meeting Aquarius later on after I graduated high school. Speaking of Aquarius, I joined the group after being introduced to the other members of Aquarius through Ko and I have been a part of the group since. I joined the group because I was interested in continuing to perform since in high school I did cheer and I loved performing and doing something in that realm. I thought this would be a great opportunity to do something new, fun and exciting with a group of wonderful individuals who have the same interests. I also wanted to make new friends and meet new people. My role in Aquarius is pretty much I offer to do whatever is needing to be done. As in if anyone needs help doing anything I try to offer up. My favorite foods honestly include a lot of desserts or sweets. I just love making and eating sweets. I got more into baking recently and for the first time I made my mom’s recipe for lemon bars and they turned out amazing even if they were not perfect. In terms of savory foods, I love sushi and pasta/noodle dishes.

My favorite part about being in the group is just being with such amazing, talented, lovely people and just making something amazing together. It was honestly so cool and amazing to make Racketball together and just seeing how everything came together in the end. I cannot wait to make more music and create more with Aquarius! What I enjoy most about working with Aquarius is that sometimes things can be stressful, but we still know how to have fun together because in the end we are a group of friends that found each other and now we are one big family. My dream for the future is to make more music with Aquarius and I think it would be cool to travel more together as a group and perform.

ENTRY #4: J

Hey! It’s Shooting Star Idol, J! ✨✌🏽 My image color is Golden Yellow and my pronouns are they/he/siya (siya is a gender-neutral pronoun in the Tagalog that can used to refer to anyone)! I was born in SoCal and raised by my Filipino migrant family. The culture I was raised in influenced me to care a lot about music, dance, food, and history! I was exposed to anime and manga at a young age (lol), and through my own internet rummaging, I ended up hyper-fixating on Vocaloid, K-On!, and idols from all over the world!

Joining Aqu♡rius at the end of 2017 was a surprise! I had only gotten to know Aqours in October of that year and my baby gay dream of joining a full Love Live cosplay group came true soon after. I was eager to incorporate singing to our covers since then so I’m not surprised that Aqu♡rius has shifted to the direction it has gone now! I think I am the music guy a lot of the time for the group, but I also lead in teaching and cleaning the singing and dancing lessons. Some of my favorite foods right now are stone fruits like mangoes, peaches, nectarines, and plums!

My favorite part about working in a group is actually flourishing and developing each other’s creativity! Working on things collectively makes the results of our hard work more valuable and special since we all contributed to its development :) It’s also cool that we all have many talents and a huge majority of our work is self-produced! One goal for me is that I want to get to know all of you more! I’ve met so many people through idol activities who have shared with me their passions and optimisms and I want to be able to help uplift those who want to build community with others. As for Aqu♡rius specifically, it would be really exciting to eventually have a setlist full of only our original music!

ENTRY #5: EGGY

Helloo! I am Eggy (she/they), the cherry red member of Aqu♡rius. My birthday is on April 4th, which I think its quite fitting that my sun sign is Aries (the red imagery is burned into my soul ♥). I am also a socal native, and growing up I was always an artsy kid- loved doing any arts and crafts and creation that I could get my hands on. That artistry eventually led me to anime (I was obsessed with the art style of course), then to cosplay, and that slippery slope led me to where I am now. The Love Live to Idol pipeline is real, and I'd like to personally thank my girls Umi and Yohane for helping me along the way. Originally, I was kind of the one who started what would become Aqu♡rius, through a Love Live cosplay group that eventually evolved and led to us becoming what we are today. Because I had never had any formal training in dancing, and especially singing before, it took a little while for me to sort of ruminate on the idea of being kaigai idols when Jelli suggested we switch over from Love Live cosplay dance covers to doing what we do today, but I couldn't see myself doing this with any other group of people, and am so thankful I took the plunge. It was rather stifling being contained in a character's box, so being able to deviate from that by doing whatever we want, and ultimately just being more creative with the whole process has been amazing. As for my role in the group,,,, I have a hard time putting an exact word to it. Honestly, I feel like my strengths are in the ideas I have. I get smacked on the head with inspiration when I'm with everyone and just want to design and create faster than I can realistically keep up with. I love making art for our concepts and visuals, as well as designing when I can. I cannot lie to you guys, ice cream cannot be beat for me, I love it so much. My top tier flavor is rose, but that's hard to get so other favs are pistachio, and strawberry. Besides ice cream, I absolutely love börek, and highly recommend trying it if you haven't yet. The best thing about being a part of Aqu♡rius is just being able to be with everyone. I genuinely love and care about everyone so much and it's actually so insane to me that we have been able to create this and come so far from where we started. It's an honor to surround myself with such wonderful and inspiring people that choose to dedicate their time and energy into this project of ours. My dream for us is to continue creating- new songs, dances, events, ideas- whatever it may be. I hope one day we can host our own event with multiple original tracks (coughs I think everyone having a solo song would be so incredibly cool) and create a space for other idols in the community to do what they love to do. As for myself, I just want to continue improving, so I can be proud of every performance I do.

ENTRY #6: TUNA

Hallooo everyone!! It’s Tuna! My image color is sage green and my zodiac sign is Gemini sun, Aquarius moon and Virgo rising. I grew up in a small suburban town in Socal. I was the token weird anime kid growing up. I started cosplaying in 2011, a passion that led me to finding Eggy in 2013 at a local cosplay meetup. As my passion for anime grew, it sparked an interest in Japanese music. I found Vocaloid and quickly became a devout fan to producers and then utaites. Joining aqu♡rius was really something that basically was just a long term manifestation... I was always longing for a cosplay group. Even more, I wanted friends to sing with, a secret passion I had after finding out what a nico nico chorus was. I would have never imagined to find both in the same wonderful group. I would probably consider myself the glue of aqu♡rius. Which is to say, I am the goof that keeps us together and laughing. In reality, my range of contributions is wide, I love being a multi disciplinary artist and my contributions are eclectic and a result of random inspiration. My main focus is writing lyrics and costume construction and misc design. My favorite meal lately has been eggs in a basket toast, and favorite fruits are donut peaches and cherries! My favorite part about being in Aqu♡rius is the simple ability to create together. Aqu♡rius has inspired so much growth and change within myself and has taught me so much about how to manage my time and resources. I am so grateful for our shared experience and promise to do my best in the future too! My dream for us as a group is to travel internationally together… As for myself, I want to make more friends in this community! I also desire to keep growing my musical practice, I want to learn to play an instrument!

ENTRY #7: EDEN

Hi! I’m Eden, the shiny knife idol of AQU♡RIUS! So knife to meet you all!! You might recognize me as the pearl gray member (that’s white on your penlights!) I’m a Sagittarius sun with a Scorpio moon :) I’ve been into vocaloid since I was a wee little butter knife, I’m pretty sure when I was still in elementary school.. Then it evolved into Love Live!! And that’s where I started my idol journey! I already loved dancing since the Luka★Luka Night Fever flash mobs were popularized, and baby Eden just loved watching little dances from then on out. (I still bop to Mascara Blue Jeans often hehe)

I initially joined for a Love Live!! Cosplay group, and we just started performing.. Then added singing.. And wow here we are! Popped out like a fresh egg. I love my friends so it was really easy to get the ball rolling with everyone’s reassurance. My role? I really contribute what I can without stepping on anyone’s toes! My specialty is doodling for merch, and sometimes being the comedic relief when needed. It’s really cool seeing my drawings be made into little charms and keychains!!

My favorite food is cheesecake… I LOVE cheesecake.. I could eat a whole cheesecake by myself in an hour if I could.. Any type of pasta is also a comfort food, so is sinigang (filipino sour soup). Any rice is good.. I just love my carbs..

My favorite part about being here is the fact that it’s really just a group of my best friends performing together! They’re all such wonderful people that It makes me feel so incredibly lucky to have met all 6 of them at the time that I did. They all know how to make me laugh or reassure me of something that I need clarification on. I don’t think I could really achieve that with just a group that didn’t start as friends first. I don’t really have any specific dreams at the moment..! I just follow where the waters take us. Performing with AQU♡RIUS is already a dream in itself.. As for me, I’m always improving little by little, it’s not always linear, but that just makes me want to work harder. One day I’ll be completely proud of myself! I’ll get there with everyone!!
