So after flipping through some White Dwarves (UK 290 to 300 era aka one of the best eras) that I won from an auction I discovered that they made a Archaon model for Warmaster to tie in with Storm of Chaos.

I found the model utterly adorable, and couldn't resist memeing about it a little.

OPEN PITCH TO GAMES WORKSHOP:

BUGMAN'S RANGER

A Retro Beat em' Up/ Shooter in style of Boltgun (maybe done in N64 style graphics, like Conker's bad fur day, Crash Bandicoot, and Gwimbly)

Set During the End Times (like vermintide) You play as a Norse Dwarf. The Sole member of your clan to survive and escape the Doom of Karaka Drak and the massacre of the Norse Dwarfes at the hands of Valkia The Bloody.

You and a small band of survivors managed to flee to the south on a few passing Thunder barges. Thus you avoid the fate of the Main Body of Norse Dwarf Refugees that tried to escape by the Sea of Claws only to be Slaughtered by the Plaugefleet.

You narrowly miss destruction and make your way to safety, then you resolve to take the Slayers Oath and swear vengeance on Valkia, so you pilgrimage to Karak Kadrin.

At the Gates to Karak Kadrin you are stopped by Josef Bugman Himself who after hearing your tale of woe, says he's been where you are and known your pain. He then proposes that instead of taking the Slayers Oath, that there are Other paths to vengeance.

Bugman: "Well what do you say Lad? Are you a Bad Enough Dawi to fight for BUGMAN'S RANGERS?"

So for this game I was thinking your standard load out would be, a Crossbow, Throwing Axes, a Shield, and a two handed Great Axe. I was thinking maybe Ranged combat with the crossbow and throwing axes would zoom into first person and Melee with Axe and Shield and Greataxe would be zoomed out to 3rd person.

I was thinking Logistics would be covered by HEAVY use of Gyrocopters and Thunderbarges. Like Josef Bugman pulls a whole ass sky fleet out of his ass and thats how you get around. And the game missions would be all over the Warhammer World. From Lustria to Nippon, From Kislev to the Southlands.

I was thinking there would be horn you can trumpet for Helldivers style calldowns. Like Gyrobomber carpet bombing runs, Gyrocopter Clattergun strafing runs, Gyrobombers dropping resupply and/or npc reinforcements.

The missions and endgame would culminate in Undoing the End Times and steering events down the Storm of Chaos Timeline. Where Grimgore Ironhide saves to world by kicking Archaon the Everchosen in the Bollocks. Things like saving the Lizardmen, and keeping Cathay's Great Bastion from Falling. Helping Kislev Hold The Line, disrupting a skaven ritual (the feedback of the ritual's failure causes 13 Vermin Lords to Explode, their fragments being scattered across the warp effectively killing them permanently in all the ways that matter) and even discovering Karak Zorn and the Southlander Dwarfs.

The Final Boss for the Player Character would be a final faceoff with Valkia The Bloody, where if you really are a Bad Enough Dawi you kick her ass and send that bitch back to Hell.

Throughout the whole game Josef Bugman would be commenting on your progress and making Duke Nukem style references and irreverent quips. Except in a Sean Connery type accent.

Aaaaand more very quick stream doodles. This one shot was so fun to watch, it’s so sad that it had to end already. But oh well, let’s not dwell on that and let’s enjoy the good time we had, like disguised tiefling gale being both Karlachs and astarions type, wyll and gale having a spa day, bing bong in general (rip king, you will be missed), and of course the 8 strength fight for magic items <3 thanks to the cast for the chaos, I enjoyed it thoroughly

“Oh little storm,” the being cooed, hands that are both large enough to crush the world yet small enough to hold his face gently running through his hair. He was being held by lightning, by stars and space and everything in between, cradling his form like he was something oh-so precious. “A surprise to be sure,” the being crooned, purred, rumbled, cracked, some noise of the depths of space mixed with something indescribable. “A surprise, but a welcome one.” 

Billy had never felt so small, yet so loved, like the world itself was holding him against its heart as the whispers of the gods bled away in something akin to awe. The being smiled, distant storms letting loose and ending droughts, even more distant stars bursting into being. “A little marvel of existence,” they hummed, hissed, cooed, whistled, hair- or strands of galaxies- melding into the abyss around them. 

“A surprise son. A child of the Cosmos. Yes.” He was held so gently, space itself dancing and flickering around him, suns pressing hundreds of freckled kisses against his head. “Welcome home, little storm. Welcome home, my son.”

Sonic WIPs and Scribbles from 2023 (Notes Below)

Gave Chaos the Angel Chao ... "Ears" ? So that All Forms (Neutral/Dark/Hero) have some form of Representation. (The two split ... Hair? Things? In the back already resemble the Devil Chao, since the Light Chao only has one.)

Solaris Exists! ... Crazy. I recall this redesign being bit tricky because it was just so hard to see what the fucking thing looked like Originally, but I did my best. Tried to show the Bird/Eagle Theming, and to simplify the design so People like Me could understand it. I wanted this design to look like a counterpart to Chaos -- because in this AU, Solaris is from, you'll never guess...the Sol Dimension!

Gave Team Dark a sort of... cohesive color scheme with eachother, so they really look like a Unit. Plus, Rouge wearing Red just... Makes sense, considering her name, even if I enjoy the Purple color scheme as well.

Similar color scheme thing here with the Babylon Rogues -- They all share Red/White/Yellow -- I took the darker colors out of these designs to not be so similar to Team Dark haha. The amount of points on each of their...Chest...Fluffs?? matches the amount of feathers they have on their head Respectively . Changed Storm the most -- I wanted to make his "Hair" Silhouette more Unique from Wave's, and really just wanted an excuse to give a character a Cool Jacket . The Shoes ... I phoned those in a bit, I'll probably change them Later...

Sharddddddd. Throughout my Scribbles (including some here) You might've seen me struggle to decide what Quill Style to give him -- his OG style? Or the Metal Sonic style? Eventually, I decided I didn't need to choose -- I could do both. It's not demonstrated that well in these, but it's basically the same style the Bits have in Sonic Universe: The Silver Age -- just thinner and more Pointy .

Ahhh Faceless Jumpscare! This is what they look like when I'm trying to work on Poses and Colors but don't want to Commit to a Face yet, haha . Nicole, I'm always changing her design it seems -- don't be surprised if it happens again! But I based her handheld off various devices Tails uses -- I wanted it to be compact while being more Modern than the Nokia Flip Phone. Changed her hologram form slightly to resemble her handheld -- her ears are the antenna, and the rings are on her feet like how the ring is plugged in at the bottom. Made her vest longer too! So it looks more like her Reboot Outfit . Just a little.

There are so many things to be annoyed about the TUA s4 debacle, and I am exploring every one of them. This is not a particularly joyful thing for me, I don't run on spite, but I guess I just need to work my way through this.

TODAY'S ANNOYANCE! Read at your own peril! Dead dove, do not enter, I'm venting about both fandom's and Five's attitudes towards Lila.

I remember how much vitriol and pearl-clutching there was about Lila after season 2. Fandom at large HATED her: she was manipulative, she lied, she drugged Diego, she tried to kill them all, blah blah blah, god it was like people had never watched TV before.

This shifted to a somewhat grudging acceptance after season 3, "Well she's going to be a mum so maybe her claws have been clipped - but OH NO SHE'S STILL MANIPULATIVE, SHE PUNCHES FIVE AND FAKE-DRINKS AND EATS SUSHI?!" (If it's bad for babies, apparently someone forgot to inform the entire nation of Japan).

But now - now that Five "loves"* her, now she's been portrayed as a saccharine shadow of her glorious self, a living mannequin for your favourite blorbo to fuck - NOW you like her? Go fuck yourselves.

If you can't handle Lila at her most chaotic and weird and destructive and terrible, you don't deserve her. Let's be real, it's not about Lila at all. It's not about the character we've seen for the past two seasons. You don't want that Lila, you want some kind of Stepford wife to make Five happy. Which, hey, was apparently what he wanted, too!

For the record, and to stave off some of the flames I may be provoking, I think this version of Five is equally bullshit and feels like they twisted the character to fit the plot they wanted, rather than following what he'd been like previously. I mean, I do think he has control issues, he's forever telling people what to do, but he's not, in general, an emotionally-stunted manchild, and he's definitely better than this.

*Tell me, gentle readers, is it true love to lie to someone for six months about something that you know is vitally important to them, and then claim you know what's best for them, and then fucking sulk about it when they turn you down, or is that being an emotionally-stunted manchild with control issues? And some people think that is the height of romance! Are you on crack? Are you in a cult? Knock three times if you need help!

4. Never meant to know

okay i've talked about this in tags and stuff before but i want to really break down the dorian - ashton dynamic, because it's so interesting. there are a lot of ways in which dorian and ashton are perfectly opposed, and there are also a lot of ways that they're deeply similar, and something about it is just fascinating to me.

they're both genasi, but one is air and one is earth. one was born into wealth and privilege, while the other spent most of their childhood in an orphanage in bassuras, and yet they both have very complex feelings about their parentage and their birthright and the power that comes with it. they're both frontline fighters who started c3 with the same strength score, but ashton uses a massive hammer and chaotic, uncontrollable powers, while dorian uses bardic flourishes and precise spells. ashton was abandoned by the closest thing they had to family, while dorian was the one to leave his own family. ashton is -2 charisma covered up with brashness and projected confidence, while dorian is +3 charisma but too nervous to use it effectively half the time. they both end up being treated as a sort of leader in their parties, much to their own surprise. dorian is this inexperienced, sheltered prince seeing the world for the first time, and ashton is frequently the voice of reason in bells hells, the one who knows how the real world works ("does no one crime?", reminding them that their actions will have consequences for others, pointing out that leaving someone to die is not actually better than killing them by hand).

in exu, dorian tells lolth that he would do anything to protect his friends, even if it would hurt others, and he meant it so deeply that his alignment changed from chaotic good to chaotic neutral. he got into an argument with orym because he wanted them to keep lolth's circlet, a decision influenced by his family history with power and responsibility. and now ashton took the shard, searching for power, motivated by the longing for his parents and his birthright and it is such a juicy parallel.

it's "i would do anything for my friends" vs "we don't leave anyone behind".

the first kiss of the campaign is dorian kissing ashton's cheek after the ratanish fight as an excuse to get close enough to heal him and tell him "we need you". ashton curses quietly when he realizes dorian has to go with cyrus. "to dorian, who is leaving us for his stupid brother. what the fuck is up with that." ashton says dorian is "our bag of dicks".

they're just so interesting. they're such interesting contrasts, both symbolically and in their characters, and i really hope that when (don't say 'if' it's gotta be a 'when' i am clinging to this) dorian comes back their relationship gets explored more.
