unfortunately i'm like 160 episodes into tma and still don't get the obsession with martin. like i don't hate him but also- literally every other character and relationship is more interesting. also fanon version of him sucks lol. canon version of him is actually appealing to me in some ways, but considering fanon martin makes 90% of tma fic unreadable, i'm not too stoked about even having him tagged half the time.

Look, if you want to write out-of-character AUs where Ford still has any positive feelings for Bill at all by the time present day Gravity Falls takes place, by all means, indulge in that. You do you, etc. But when you start writing meta claiming that Ford's grief over losing his brother via the memory gun was also grief over having lost Bill (whom Ford canonically wanted deader than dead, he literally tried to atomize him two episodes prior), you have lost the plot.

Hey, so I know it’s Complicated, and that he becomes a Fulcrum agent or something later in the series and I literally just watched The Honorable Ones (for the second time) so I GET it, but I just think it’s kinda fucked that the biggest ship for Zeb is with the guy who participated in and initially claimed responsibility for the massacre of his people and destruction and colonization of his homeworld

sometimes i feel a little weird doing fandom-y things for rhps (because ive never been in a fandom this small before also because it just feels a little weird sometimes) and ill doubt myself and think "does everything NEED a fandom?? scoffs" even though. im hyperfixated super crazy style.

but then i remember that i have no mouth and i must scream has a fandom and i realize that life (fandoms) finds a way and if there is at least one person who likes something, there's probably going to be fanfic about it and some kind of ship WILL be involved

I have heard of it but I have no interest in watching it. I judge shows based on certain things. My first introduction to Gravity Falls truthfully was a video of someone drawing the Pinecone twins (Dipper and Mabel I think) kissing..and it really disgusted me. Maybe the entire fandom isn't like that, but that first impression stuck with me and I just. Can't really watch the show at all. The fandom from what I remember was just...weird tbh

To be fair, I was on Wattpad in those days so that could explain it, but overall yeah, fandom + artstyle are how I judge if I like shows. If I had known the LMK fandom was filled with piece of shits, I'd have never watched the show at all and never gotten myself involved with this horrible fandom.
