What headcanons would you have for Alice or Jen in Agatha All Along? :)

Alice was a mama's girl despite their difficult relationship. Her mother was much better at showing her love for Alice than Evanora was at showing hers (if there ever was any love for Agatha) but she focused so much on breaking a curse that Alice was certain was never actually real. Alice still craved her attention, always proud to show her something she made or playing her a new song that she learned.

Alice is not a morning person. She was the one who signed up for graveyard shifts as a cop. She thrived on late nights, the moon giving her more energy. She was always happy to take somebody's late night shifts for them. She sometimes had to work mornings, which made her long for the sweet release of Death.

Despite her moody, edgy style, she needs a crap ton of sugar in her coffee. She cannot drink it black like her co-workers always did. They teased her for this, but she was fine with her Cinnamon Dolce lattes, thank you very much.

That tattoo was not her mother's idea, originally. Alice saw her mother stressing out over the curse and looked up ways that she could protect herself in a more permanent way than wearing a necklace she may lose or something else like that. So she looked up the symbol and showed her mother, who didn't even hesitate to book her with a friend. Lorna held her hand the entire time, and Alice forced herself not to cry from the pain, trying to be brave for her mother.

Alice visited her mother's grave (which wasn't a real grave bc she didn't have enough of her mother to bury) on every major holiday, leaving flowers and crystals (because her mother believed in their power) and talking to her about how her life is going.

She had a cat, named Cheeto, who was the most orange cat you ever met. She loved him, though. She found him while working, when he was still a kitten. She fell in love with him immediately and brought him home with her after her shift ended. She told Jen about him before she died. Jen goes to her apartment after getting off The Road, and takes Cheeto home with her, honoring Alice in the only way she can.

Jen is almost the opposite of Alice.

She is a morning person. She likes to wake with the sun and do yoga and all that healthy shit. She has a brand to uphold, after all.

She does GRWM videos all the time, showing people what she puts in her organic smoothies (cutting out the part where she puts in protein powder that nobody can know she uses) and egg-white omelettes. She's a vegetarian onscreen only.

Again, it's her brand. Her last name is literally a vegetable (she makes cannibalism jokes when she adds kale to her smoothies).

She's always been openly bisexual and has several pieces of art that reflect that in her home. She laments about her dating life a lot online and has gotten several offers from her fans to be taken on dates. She almost always declines, but she's touched obviously by the interest.

She and Agatha had a situationship. Jen started to catch feelings, but Agatha was closed off emotionally because she was still hung up on Rio and the pain she'd caused. When Jen tried to get closer, Agatha pushed her away and was not nice about it. She figured it'd be easier if Jen hated her. Jen was definitely bitter, which is why she believed every bad thing that anybody had to say about Agatha, including that she traded away her own son for the Darkhold.

She bound herself, I think. I think Agatha was lying about having bound her in the 1920's. Not that I don't think she would have done that for money (she'd probably do it for shits and giggles tbh) but I don't think Agatha actually did it to Jen. I think Jen was so traumatized by the men who tried to bind her that she actually end up binding herself. She just convinced herself that it was them that bound her because it was the easier solution.

Jen genuinely loves hiking. It's the best way to unplug and just be herself for a little bit. She'll go to the nearest mountain and just walk for miles until she gets tired. She loves watching sunsets on these hikes. She also secretly loves camping because it reminds her of the years she had to spend living off the land as a younger witch.

She also really loves spas. She has a standing bi-weekly appointment at her local spa. She's a complicated person.

If Alice had lived, there's no doubt in my mind that she and Jen would have become a thing. Opposites attract and all that. They both have trauma, even if it's different kinds of trauma. I think they'd make a good pair.

Agatha would tease them and claim to be the reason they got together. She wouldn't exactly be wrong.

buckle up, friends, because I somehow posted 98 gif sets this year and it's probably going to be 100 sets by the end of the year tbh. that number sounds so ridiculous. it's all your faults because part of the reason why I made so much was because I felt so encouraged and loved by the people I've gotten to know and know better this year, so thank you.

I started trying to put all the sets in a post and that just got overwhelming for me to look at so we're doing my top favorites with some fun statistics at the end. I think it'll come as no surprise that I mostly made rwrb and heartstopper sets this year, so I decided to do my top 5 rwrb sets, top 5 heartstopper sets, and top 10 miscellaneous sets.

top 5 rwrb sets

page to screen ripped pages: this is the first set I made after the movie was released. I worked on it for hours and really enjoy how it turned out. the text placement was what took the longest. I knew what words from each passage I wanted to highlight so it took some rearranging to make sure those were visible.

acd x all american bitch: the idea for this came about when casey posted an instagram story of GUTS and songs that correspond with their characters. I love me some bi coloring, so using that for this set was really fun!

firstprince x wildest dreams: I don't know what it is about this set that makes me love it so much. I think it's the shade of pink and then the light orange from the text.

henry "that is him, part and parcel": I adore henry and bea and that's all I have to say about this set.

firstprince x exile: I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the tags for this one and I am not sorry at all for the pain I have caused. I got the idea for this set after sending @kiwiana-writes the fake fic title "I gave so many signs" and they wrote a heartwrenching summary. I immediately wanted to do something with it!

top 5 heartstopper sets

moments of healing: day two of heartstoppercentral's pride celebration for this year. putting this together made me really emotional. I'm so grateful for alice and these moments of communication we get on the show.

imogen x ballad of a homeschooled girl: yes, I did intentionally use colors on the lesbian flag for this set. it was actually going to be purple at first to match the GUTS album but I didn't like how it looked. I tried pink, liked it, wondered what color worked with pink, and thus the color palette was born!

narlie x brighter than sunshine: day 3 of heartstoppercentral's pride celebration. as schitt's creek fans know (and as a couple people pointed out in the tags), this is the song that plays at the end of "Meet the Parents." I think I knew right away I was going to use this song for this day of the event.

narlie x fearless (taylor's version): I still can't believe I made this set. it's something just last year I would have deemed too complicated. I'm proud of myself for this one.

charlie standing up to ben: this set idea was suggested by @swiftlythebest. idk if this was intentional on alice's part, but I really enjoy how charlie says similar sentiments in both episodes. like "leave me alone" -> "I don't want to see you ever again."

alexis rose + "destined to be on fire": I can't believe how much I've grown as a gif maker over the past three years and this set shows that growth. I also adore alexis and her journey.

david/patrick open mic: I made this set once I got back home from seeing noah in concert. I was truly close to tears during the concert when I realized I was watching him perform a song from a show I have loved for three years.

david/patrick relationship dynamic: @reasonandfaithinharmony @roseapothecary and @rmd-writes are to thank for this set coming into existence. the fact that I had so many scenes to choose from shows that this truly is david and patrick's dynamic.

schitt's creek + barbie posters: I knew right away what kind of barbie david and alexis were going to be.

GUTS + favorite lyrics: god I really love this set. the typography? the coloring? I really outdid myself.

alright im just over halfway thru the series and here are my thoughts and updated ideas

first off. i find that my "strange" aspect was, in fact, right. i just missed an "r" at the end. really funny move on my end. it makes up for the wrong predictions

currently the sacrificial avatar theory i have isnt looking the most promising right now, but it still hasnt been refuted completely. in fact i feel very proud about deducting the eyes influence in some parts of jons actions. otherwise im really enjoying his development into becoming an avatar for the eye, and im certain that he will become a full fledged one, its really the only way his character can go.

(plus i got spoiled about a couple things, one was becoming an avatar (im pretty sure, it had all the fanon jon design aspects) and the other i looked myself in the podcast descriptions lol)

im also a big fan of how hes being increasingly referred to as 'the archivist' and not jon. looking forward, my guess is that he becomes more monstery and ends up shedding his name. really cool stuff this is awesome. and weve got a lot of time to shed that humanity :D

im currently enjoying elias being a minor antagonist in this chapter, hes definitely becoming my favorite main character lol i think hes funny. im not sure if hes going to become a major villain later (i really dont see it, especially as jon gets drawn closer and closer to the eye) but who knows. if he becomes a major antagonist i will be one of his fans i <3 villains

all i know is that the stranger is a really cool and very logical villain for the eye--the horror of knowing versus not. tbh this feels like an endgame development...

maybe the unknowing will be disrupted but not completely be halted, like with the distortions spiral or what it was called. micheal was still the distortion, and its still about fucking around, but to a lesser extent as to what it was doing before, considering it was a large enough problem that gertrude killed off one of her cherished(? i think lightner mentioned they were cherished?) assistants. this is also a little concerning with jon being led by elias to the stranger... if it wasnt for the eye motifs in jon art i would think that this move could cause him to be snatched by the stranger, but also hes less human than bait micheal was... hm

part of me is thinking back to season 1 where the hive hated the eye bc it saw everything and ruined its mystery. i wonder if thats going to happen, since jon is becoming a pillar of information rather than a watcher. my eldritch read was really good lol

anyways. current favorite aspect is distortion. im so glad transition saved helen. plus when i started to design micheal and helen i made a note that their hair should be tangled in the dragon curve fractal and that micheal has cow motifs (bc i DID call him the minotaur) and for my own sake, helen should have something of a mirror motif (id say camera but idk how to do that other than thru mirrors. in my mind she reminded me of the end of hol ok)

final note: i find it really fun that "serving your god" can be described as compulsions. ocd world forever.

this is doubly funny bc last year while working as an ra i was basically(?) diagnosed with ocd by a therapist because i would stay up until ungodly hours in the morning sitting in my chair by my door listening to my hall instead of doing anything else. sometimes id leave my room to walk thru the hall. i was so paranoid that i had to constantly watch my floor because if something bad happened (which was often) something bad, in turn, would happen to me (it never did). i got an ra job next year so im probably gonna try and get into therapy a bit earlier if i start drowning like that again

I'm not too bad! Kinda stressed over work this week, but it could be worse. I hope you're well!

I don't have a ton of energy to go all out with explanations (I wrote this and then gave an explanation with every single one but shhhh). In lieu of the amount of detail I'd like to provide, please accept these links to previous things I've posted about my opinions of Kurt ships:

Kartie/Kody, Puckurt/St Hummel/Chummel, Kelliott/Kadam/Hevans/Kandler/Kalter, top 10 (now outdated)

I also once posted a tier list of my Kurt ships so feel free to take a look at that! It also may or may not have changed since. My top 3-4 are pretty solid, and after that things can vary quite a bit based on how I'm feeling at the moment.

I'm going to limit this post to pairs rather than poly ships because then there would just be far too many combinations...

ANYWAY. Ranked list of Kurt ships under the cut :)

Kurtbastian. I don't think I need to explain myself, but this dynamic is absolutely everything to me. The intensity, the drama, the sexual tension, everything they are is just so so so perfect for each other and I love them.

Kelliott. I love Kurtbastian because they're a great story, but I love Kelliott because they feel real. If Kurt Hummel were a real actual person, I would want him to be with Elliott Gilbert.

Klaine. The ship that got me into fanfic. That being said... I think I love them more for the fandom than for their canon relationship at this point. Which is totally fine, since basically all of the ships I love are due to fandom if not my own personal thoughts on the characters involved <3

Puckurt. Pansexual!Noah Puckerman in love with Kurt Hummel and willing to defend his honour? Not giving a shit what people have to say about him because He Loves Kurt and he won't be ashamed of who he is and he's just So! Proud! Of his boyfriend!! And Kurt just rolls his eyes and tells Puck he can take care of himself and Puck just looks at him and smirks and says "I know you can" and then they're making out against a wall in a locker room and... I'm gonna stop before I get carried away, but. Yeah. Puckurt my beloved.

Kadam. I'm sometimes guilty of forgetting about them and I'm so mad every single time because they are so cute!! So good!!! Like PLEASE ADAM IS A SWEETHEART and Glee did us so dirty by not giving this relationship a real chance.

Wert. Wesley Montgomery needs to be defended at all costs. This is based solely on fanfiction, and most of that is my own fanfiction lol I accidentally wrote myself into shipping them and now I can't stop.

St Hummel. This would be the most chaotic relationship imaginable but oh god would it be funny as hell.

Hevans. They are very very sweet and the fact that Sam wasn't bi is a crime. Sam clearly had such a high opinion of Kurt throughout the entire damn show, and they should have been together.

Chummel. Mike is a sweetheart. I'm having visions of very hands-on dance lessons that very quickly veer into not-quite-dance-lessons-anymore because Mike is getting right up in Kurt's space to help him move and... well, you get the idea.

Brokurt. Brody deserved better then the show gave him. And he's also so clearly not entirely straight. Let him have a fling with Kurt PLEASE.

Kartie. They would be sweet. I'm not a HUGE fan of Artie but I do think he could be a good boyfriend, and I could imagine him and Kurt being really supportive of each other and their talents being very complimentary.

Kandler. I don't think this would work long term, but I think Chandler is such a fun character and it would have been neat to see where this could go. Maybe a fun little summer fling to boost Kurt's confidence, you know? They part on good terms, go their own ways for school at the end of the summer, if they ever run into each other back home they're friendly and give each other a hug.

Kurtofsky. I'll be honest; I used to really hate this ship. I don't hate it anymore though. In canon? Ehhh, still don't really see it ever happening. Fanon, however, I could see it. And the art that I've seen is gorgeous. I could see this moving up over time; the more I think about it, the more it grows on me tbh.

Kalter. I actually don't hate this. Don't love that Walter lied on the app, but he was upfront on their first date. And I don't think he was taking advantage of Kurt, and the age difference doesn't really bother me (it's not idea especially considering Kurt was still not that long out of high school at this point, but given it's television and he was made out to seem older I can let it slide). I think this was a fine little short relationship and neither of them were all that invested in it, but I don't like... actively enjoy it or anything haha.

Kooper. Honestly the level of awe/obsession/whatever that Kurt had for Cooper upon meeting him turns me off this ship a little bit. I don't hate it or anything, I just don't really see it. Absolutely give me brother-in-laws Kooper ganging up to tease Blaine, though!

Kody. I am very much pro slutty Kurt trying to get it on with a sexy man, but I just... this particular man gives me the heebie jeebies, you know? It's just Not It for me, sorry.

Kinn. No hate to anybody who does like this ship, and like I get it, but a) they're canonically brothers and even in a verse where they aren't I still can't put that aside, and b) I don't really like Finn as a character do I don't enjoy thinking about him and Kurt together romantically. I can enjoy some fanon brotherly Furt content, but that's about all. My apologies.

awh thank you so much for the compliment! that really means the world, i whipped it up quickly so im not super proud of it but ... im glad someone is fond of the chart! purposely made them all blush because, ya know, shipping! it made me very 🥺 as well,,, love the s3 cast if that's not obvious so they typically pull at my heart regardless haha. but *claps hands together* thanks so much for this message as well! i'd love to explain away any ships people are curious about! joey x mat isn't common in any sense of the word, so i completely get the confusion. mat x manny is still my favorite detective ship by far ( who doesn't love manny indeed! ) but believe it or not, joey x mat ( or joeypat as i'll call it ) is ... so close to matny for me. i love both ships a lot for different reasons, so let me explain away! everything is placed under read more for convenience purposes~

my first introduction into the pairing itself was on ao3. there's only two fics in the tag and both are very thought provoking in terms of joeypat, so it's easy to find them if you're curious! they're also in my bookmarks. anyway, i read the first fic the moment it came out and remembered being intrigued by the idea of joey and matthew together in a romantic sense - especially in the way it was shown in the context. not necessarily a super healthy thing, but co-dependant with genuine affection sprinkled in there. so i decided to explore it in my own time and see if i could find myself actually shipping it ... which, as you're aware, i totally do. while there's not many scenes exchanged between them in s3, there's subtle hints here and there that hints at a very complex dynamic. the detective is a character everyone views differently due to how much character he has, but in my opinion, i don't think mat ever truly hated joey. he was scared, like anyone else, but he was mostly suspicious. and the only time this hurt/personal turmoil turned into anger was when mat realized he might have to die - something he didn't want. ( personal side note, but i think this conflict also adds to joeypat in a way. gives them more flavor, but that's just how i like my ships tbh )

and so ensues the ep5 fight, where matthew offers up the savant to die on a silver platter and tries to charm everyone into the plan ; all while showing no remorse for a broken down joey. but this doesn't ruin the ship like everyone seems to think? mat has shown the same kind of confused anger towards manny in ep9 and yet matny is fairly popular. because despite that scene, people can tell mat still cares deeply for manny, like manny also cares for him. if that's the case for matny, i don't see why this doesn't hold true for joeypat either. yes, this is one of their first concrete interactions, which doesn't give the fans solid ground to their previous dynamic ; but it's obvious mat was simply looking out for himself. so he took the boiling suspicion and lashed out at the most likely candidate he could get away with, which was joey. ( you could also read the whole scene as matthew being wounded over joey not trusting him, but that's up for debate! just wanted to place this idea in everyone's mind )

despite this, and despite joey's vote for matthew, there's a scene during the ep5 challenge that proves the savant holds the detective so highly. usually when scorned, he's quick to throw someone under the bus and not feel tinges of regret until after their death ... but despite knowing mat 'hates' him, joey says this and expresses distress when it's the final trial :

joey actively encouraging someone who just humiliated him and wished death upon him isn't something he typically does. there's a high chance mat would've won and still tried to kill him in another challenge ; but joey doesn't care. he doesn't want the detective to die here and it shows. i think it's so interesting and it's something you easily miss, but once you catch it, it's so obvious how much joey admires, respects, and cares for matthew. enough so to even take the other's attacks as long as it meant mat was still around.

the death of mat affects joey so much he's willing to revive him despite, again, not knowing if the other will come back angry at him or not. a rare selfless act for him, if you will. he just wants him back and chooses to do anything to achieve that. resulting in understanding on mat's part and devotion from joey's ; which shapes their relationship throughout the rest of the show. before this, it felt like the savant's feelings were ... unrequited at best. but when mat returns he hugs joey even if joey didn't expect it and they have this newfound understanding. i think my favorite part for this ship ( and a main reason for why i like it ) is that they both are intimately aquatinted with death, in a way nobody else is. they're the only two who understand it, and that creates this level of relationship no other ship in s3 can reach unless you purposely revive someone else. i think it's neat to explore ; the two of them stumbling through newfound life and cold bodies, smelling of cooper and feeling half empty. joey's fiercely protective of matthew after his revival and while mat doesn't openly cling to him in turn, you see he appreciates it. retreats back into it when feeling threatened. showing some level of trust and need on matthew's part.

( which in it's own merit is intriguing. matthew is pretty bold in most of his affections, but for joey it's this subtle thing. i quite like that as well, it's fun to explore )

some good joeypat moments in the show :

after his revival, it's no doubt that joey becomes a source of comfort for matthew. the savant takes time to constantly show humanity to the other no matter the situation, and it's so clear joey is infatuated with mat to some degree ( like half the characters in s3 are, let's be honest ). but ahem, that's mostly all the canon moments they have - yet that doesn't stop people from doing what's done best ... elaborating on the ship themselves! not every etn ship needs lots of canon moments to be achingly tender or good, ya know?

i think this ship hits for me because of how their relationship turns out. mat never hated joey, but joey thought he did. then mat dies after they argue and there's no resolution which leaves the savant destroyed ... and when he gets the chance, he doesn't hesitate to greedily take the detective back for the group and for himself. matthew proves to joey he never hated him per se, and they carry on in this little dance of relying on each other even if it goes unseen. the thing about matny is that from a canon perspective, they don't get the chance to thrive, tbh? mat is suddenly in the place of joey and says things he regrets but manny is dead and gone for good before mat can fix things, or do more with their bond. joeypat gets the chance to grow together, however, seeing as they both survive. they have to handle the aftermath with the same burdens and they're the ones stuck with this budding tension they get to mess with. it's genuinely a little sad this ship isn't touched upon more given the abundance of potential they have? the fandom thinks matthew hates joey after s3 or after s4 but i don't think the detective could hate joey if he tried. he knows that selfish desire within the savant because he has it himself ; has experienced death himself. joey is almost like looking into a distorted mirror for him and i think that's why he's so all over the place when it comes to the savant. loving someone in the world of etn is never easy, after all.

basically! i ship it for a lot of reasons. the death aspect, the fact joey respects the detective more than he's ever shown before with another, and their development. in my new fic, jmn, i hope to expand the joeypat audience a tad with some good ol slow burn - just like i had done with crimewave. it deserves some backing and there's so much creative freedom with it! two men drowned in guilt and reeking of death, desperately clinging to threads and forever stuck together. a tension crackling between them as well as this deep rooted comfort they can't find anywhere else. it's infatuation and borderline co-dependant at it's finest, but isn't every etn ship that way in some capacity? it's just ... interesting. i truly think joey's happy ending lies with the detective and vice versa. matny is still my favorite ship, that's true, but joeypat is right up there beside it.

It's a bunch of little things, but I think the main one is what he's like in private. A lot of people write him as still being quiet and calm when at home, but honestly? I see him as the type where as soon as he's with people he's 100% comfortable with or if he's having fun doing what he's doing, he's going to be one of the loudest and proudest people there, not caring how loud he is or if people are looking. And at home? Same thing. He's in his space where he's comfortable, of course he's gonna be loud and proud and himself wholely.

4) do you feel like you have to defend your f/o all the time?

No, not really! He's very well-liked in the fandom!

6) what are some tropes that fan art of your f/o tends to follow?

Dark colors that are starkly contrasted by neon colors is the main one. Also heehee very tall and lanky--

Simply put, Pokemon is one of my hyperfixations and has been since I was a child and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I fucking love Pokemon and have been watching hardcore nuzlock let's plays all week.

10) how did you feel when you realized “oh of course i had to like That Character”?

I'm gonna be 100% real with you, I was so fucking surprised. It's not often that characters that align with my music tastes are made (last one I got was Roxie in BW2). So when it was shown that he's actually pretty damn gentle in some instances and does his best to look after his own, I melted. I wasn't even angry. I was actually really happy that I'd have someone who I could listen to my music with and they'd appreciate it just as much as me (especially because I don't look like the type to listen to stuff like Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, etc). Also, what I imagine his aesthetic to be outside of his gym uniform? That's how I used to dress and still dress sometimes (but tbh once I introduced color into my wardrobe I couldn't go back).

Please for the love of god stop with the constantly trying to shoehorn Piers into a ship because he was asked to take a selfie with a character and that they talked about some exhibition matches they had. And also, I headcanon this man to be demisexual, I won't go too much into it since this is an SFW blog, but people can be on the ace spectrum and enjoy sexual activity. Asexuality is not as black and white as some people make it out to be. I hate it when I find headcanons about him where either he's entirely sex-positive or he's entirely sex-repulsed with no fucking in between. I hate it. I fucking hate it. I saw most of you start this with stats (and congrats - those look amazing, damn!!) but I decided against that, cause one of the things I was trying to do last year was to not look at that. Instead, all of the following are pieces that have made me feel a bit vulnerable writing and posting.

Vigil (Gen with Joyfire(/Dick) and maaybe some DamiTim)

This one started with me listing the things I knew @scootboot97 that I can do, and unsurprisingly, it’s all stuff I love, too: Hurt/comfort, cuddles, confusing warmth, brothers, Bruce being a douchecanoe when he worries, and everyone being protective of each other. We talked about follow-ups a few times and I still kinda wanna do that.

I think this was my first longer fic from Damian’s pov. Typing this reminds me that I wanna explore that more often, because it’s a very interesting one. The way he looks at the people and relationships around him… He’s a teenager, barely so, but also a very analytical one and full of a different set of biases than the people around him. There’s a lot of byplay that he notices but can’t fully comprehend, which is fun to play with as a writer when it comes to giving the audience information.

I joke a lot that my kink is communication, and that’s basically the fic that embodies it. But it’s also about vulnerability, and not letting yourself be hurt while also working through things and trying again. About preferring something real over whatever fantasy you had about a relationship. And on Jason’s side, it’s about how sometimes, you lack the installation disk for things other people take for granted, and this a fantasy about someone teaching you.

I was hesitant to put it on this list at first, tbh, but dammit, I still like it, and I remember the feeling when writing this that oh… this is not gonna have a happy ending, is it. Which, if you know me, is highly unusual. So it’s on here for the amount of yelling it’s gotten me alone.

I didn’t really write much else this summer. It was difficult to focus on anything. I was working too much, applying for jobs that weren’t there, there were more health things happening in my family, and, you know, the pandemic. I’m very grateful for the exchange keeping me focused and giving me those word sprints.

This fic really goes to the core of what I love about JayDick, y’know? The idea that they are very different people with fundamentally the same values, who could be great for each other if they managed to understand each other. And I like that I (hopefully) managed to balance that with some humor. A lot of this fic was fun to write because there are fundamentally ridiculous elements in there. Being able to play with the telepathic bond and show both the sad and the funny sides felt like doing fanfic right, if that’s not too conceited to say.

God, it was so much fun to write! The pining, the bed sharing, the hurt/comfort… the midnight conversations, the ‘touch him and you’ll die’… I liked that. I liked that so much that this was supposed to be 600 words, then 5k max, and then it was 17k, which, for me, is extremely long. So I’m a little proud of that, too, even if it’s not about the stats.

1. Why sleep when you can dream?- A dream Trouble piece that’s just smut and some angst of the threegulls. This is my first smut piece and my longest piece to date and I’m still shocked I was able to write it!!

2. And he called him Nate- A pre canon look at Duke x Nathan’s relationship. I really love writing from Nathan’s pov and this is the first chaptered thing I wrote, and the longest at the time I started it. Still unfinished but it was a solid start in the Haven fandom.

3. I'll try and be your family- This little fic is about Duke and Beattie’s relationship post 1x05 and how it might look and what bond they might form over the shared trauma of sexual assault (I think of Beattie as a victim as well) and losing a child. It was very emotional and I’m proud. 

4. but I love it when you try to save me- My Jennifer x Jordan rewrite of s4 and I am going to finish this simply because I have too many scenes written to abandon it but I jut don’t have the focus or drive. But it has made me realize how much I like plotting and planning my writing!!

5. Haven Pride- A series of aesthetics filled with various queer headcanons of Haven characters. I think doing all of these throughout June really helped me with the ones I made in the future and play with fun color schemes. Some also sparked some good ideas for fics in the future!!

 6. Haven Characters as Greek Gods-  I really loved this idea and learning about lesser known Greek deities. Comparing characters to older, established characters is that often were at the beginning of certain tropes that have reoccurred throughout the history of stories. It was very rewarding to do and I don't know if I am finished with it. (I'm cheating, this is from this year, mostly at least, I think)

7. What could have been- a collection of ficlits that depict scenes that I feel like should have been included in canon. (I don't feel like linking it, sorry)

Tbh I'm drawing a blank on what else I created last year but a lot of these were multi part things and I think we can round it up to 10 lol. I am very proud of how much content I produced last year and the quality of it as well.

What's the best theme you've ever come across in a fic? Is it a theme represented in your own works? The Marriage Law Challenge. Can that be called a theme? I love that, and have written a few. It’s probably an equal love with soul-mates/fated mates. I’ve written a few of those, too. What fandoms are you involved in other than Harry Potter? I’m a fairly linear shipper. So it was Rogan, then Sherlolly…then SSHG and it’s been only that for *gulp* almost seven years. If you could make one change to canon, what would it be? Do you have a favourite piece of fanon? Naturally, Severus Snape lives (not that he died in the first place!). Fanon? At the minute, I’ve read so much fanfiction, I’m not sure what’s solely in the books anymore! Dark Revels, maybe? I had a vague idea of where it was going and wrote the first chapters in a few days. Chapter 5 took longer - as the smexiness always does. It was a reminder to pick out the right detail, which is a simple idea and the hardest to achieve. How personal is the story to you, and do you think that made it harder or easier to write? It wasn’t personal, I don’t think. A story is always a tapestry to me, weaving threads together to make sense.  What books or authors have influenced you? How do you think that shows in your writing? Probably from years back, Orwell and Hemingway. And a shedload of poetry. It’s made me aware of language and to aim to use the least words I can to sharpen the imagery, dialogue and setting. Do people in your everyday life know you write fanfiction? My other half does and that’s about it. I keep my fanfiction separate from my o-fic world. How true for you is the notion of "writing for yourself"? I like to write what I want to read, so very true? lol How important is it for you to interact with your audience? I’m on the usual sites, because I have to be for work…and even then, I can happily wander away for weeks! I envy people who do social stuff naturally. What is the best advice you've received about writing? Look at your verbs and make them strong. What do you do when you hit writer's block? I’m been blocked for about 2/3 years, which is why I’ve slacked on writing, both fanfic and o-fic. I’m still trying to find a way around it. At the minute, I mostly play with digital art/Daz3d. Has anything in real life trickled down into your writing? Very probably. I do sit and ‘feel’ the emotion in a scene as I write it. Do you have any stories in the works? Can you give us a teaser? I’m plugging away on bits and pieces, the odd few hundred words here and there. So this is a bit of a bare snippet from The Offer of Just One More (yes, I also peck at that!) “Victoire said you’re mean, Daddy.” Alexandra’s little Severus scowl was quite plain. “I said you weren’t, so she tried to pull my hair. So we sat on her,” she pointed to herself, Oona and a beaming Olivia, “until she said you wasn’t…weren’t.” Hermione sighed. The Burrow was a bloody minefield. And she was certain there was more than Ron stirring trouble, through their children, to get in a dig at Severus. “You shouldn’t sit on people who disagree with you,” Severus murmured. There was a light in his eyes. Hermione was sure she’d get the blame for their three daughters being little hellions. A lifted eyebrow and the murmured, “Draco? An attack of birds? Setting me on fire?” “She sat under the tree with us last week when you were at the Burrow,” Emily said. Obviously their eldest had known about the altercation. And supported it. The Snape girls were just as protective of their father as he was as them. It was sweet. In a Mafioso sort of way… “It was the troll then, too. And she thinks you’re the best storyteller, now.” “Troll!” Meredith cried, waving her juice cup, obviously at the end of her patience in waiting for her story. “The troll, indeed, Meredith.” The toddler beamed up at her father and clapped her hands. Severus glanced down at a still-sleeping Hannah. His voice was soft as he asked. “So…who is the hero of this story?” Five little girls grinned and looked towards Hermione. She blushed. “Mummy!”

“And who is the villain?”

“The Troll!” Oona and Olivia declared. “Because he attacked her.”

“Quirrell. He released the troll.” Alexandra said. Emily shook her head. 

“She wouldn’t be in the toilet at all without Ronald Weasley.”

“Weedy!” Meredith laughed and the semi-circle of girls fell into giggles. Her eldest had recently taken a sharp dislike to her old friend. Hermione’s eyes met her husband’s. They would have to keep an eye on what the ginger menace was saying around their children. Or wait four years, and let Emily hex him. Any words of encouragement to other writers? So to put it plainly, Wilbur is my favorite content creator out of the DSMP group (and just in general atm comfort streamer go brr) while his character is my second favorite behind c!Purpled on the server.

The reason I love c!Wilbur kind of boils down to relatability? He’s a character who is plagued by self hatred and depression and suicidal urges alongside paranoia and trust issues and all kind of other shit and because those things haven’t gone addressed and instead are buried he lashes out and hurts others around him. Not to mention the sort of gifted kid burnout energy he gives with the whole “I will write letter lying to my father and making my life out to be great so he will be proud of me” thing. I just... relate, a lot, and relatability is almost always the most important thing to me when it comes to connecting to characters and choosing favorites.

Not to mention, c!Wilbur is just amazingly well written. Fanon interpretation of him is more then a little lackluster but canon wise he’s constitant and well-rounded, a completely grey character. It just shows off how skilled cc!Wilbur is at writing and creating.

Speaking of cc!Wilbur, yes comfort streamer. I’m not really sure why I like him so much other then maybe how laid back his streams are. Something I’ve found is that Wilbur and Ranboo are the easiest streamers for me to watch (hence why I watch most of their content and ignore the rest) and I think it’s because they are far calmer then most of the other content creators. Not to mention they have more variety in their content (Wilbur has a lot of chatting streams and Ranboo streams play through a of different games fairly regularly) which is something I really like because Minecraft admittedly just doesn’t hold my attention. Also I think I just share a similar sense of humor to Wilbur? I’m not sure I just really like him.

Also I think I might like Wilbur a lot because he’s very easy to look up to. He’s an extremely talented creator who started learning (at least music) later on in life and still made something great out of it. Not to mention we know he’s struggled with mental issues and we can clearly see over time how much happier he’s seem to have gotten which is just... coming from someone severely mentally ill it gives me a lot of hope in a weird sense.

Clips wise? For cc!Wilbur my favorite might be that moment in his Skyblock Randomizer where he was threatening the Sky Gods for dirt whilst rowing himself and a rabbit closet and closer to the edge of his island. Just... peak performance really (I even wrote something about it: https://archiveofourown.org/works/32171017 ). I’ll be honest though there are SO many I could list. A lot of lines from his 100 Player Challenges (both that and the Skyblock Randomizer series are big comfort videos) are really great along with almost all his bits in Tommy’s MOD videos.

As for c!Wilbur? One of the first DSMP streams I watched was Wilbur’s revival. I had missed the stream itself (didn’t have Twitch at the time) but I saw Tumblr blow up with fan art and I thought all of it looked so fucking cool, and Derivakat’s little Revived clip popped up and I listened to it on loop, and basically I was just really really fucking hyped. Then I watched the Vod and saw the Sunrise scene for the first time and it hasn’t left my head since.

Just... that scene is so fucking powerful but not for the reasons most of the fandom have made it out for. It’s a scene detailing a man who died to (assisted) suicide and is still severly mentally ill who spent (to him) thirteen years in fucking hell coming back to life and being so fucking happy to be alive. He claims the sun as his own because it’s the first one he’s seen in thirteen years. He’s laughing, he’s fucking giddy to be alive again. Seeing a suicidal character do that? It’s... it means a lot to me is all. I don’t think I’ll be able to get that clip of him saying “Tommy, Tommy I’m alive!” Out of my head for a really long time.

VERY happy i can fill this out because i’ve been so productive this year lol. also this is all gonna be jb bc ive been RELENTLESS and spamming and i would apologize but i wont lmao 

1. jb eros/psyche au.

i am talking about everything i have done for the au btw, because i’ve done quite a handful of things and honestly i really love all of them--even the doodle ones which rarely happens. anyway, i love this au in general. i think the tale is perfect for them, and i’m happy with the works that i managed to put out most esp this one that’s based on canova’s sculpture of eros and psyche. translating sculpture into digital art was interesting since it was all about converting the weight and structure of the sculpture into the screen and i think i managed to do it imo! i love how brienne looks heavy in his arms, i love how strong jaime looks holding her up and i especially love the way i shaded her dress to mimic the lines that the statue has. all in all, this au slapped and i actually want to do more of it but i have no inspiration right now. 

2. jb as classical art series. 

honestly i never thought that this was going to be a series lol i thought it was just a two time thing, but then i did another one, and then another one, and then another one and now here we are. i love all the pieces that i’ve done for it actually. my favourite thing is that they’re all not direct translations of the original art. there are some aspects that i’ve taken and adapted while also putting my own flair into it. i love the reverse colour scheme with klimt’s kiss and my own rendition of it. the gold being the accent highlight in a field of murky brown/black whereas klimt has the black squares present to emphasis the richness of the gold and yellows. i also like the little thing i did where i put the geometric shapes outside of the subject instead of inside (what he did). i put on the tags that i didnt like how it turned out but i actually like it lol i just didn’t like how long it took me i get too impatient with my art i think. anyway. i love this whole series sm i think all the pieces have their own character, and tbh i always get nervous adding another piece into this just because all the ones that i’ve done has been so well received i don’t want to be a disappointment lool. regardless, i love classical art and i love jb and i love being able to put the two together hehe we love to be self indulgent

3. la belle fleur sauvage commission. 

aka THIS commission that was based from SD’s fic, la belle fleur sauvage. some behind the scenes with that one--that one took me SO long to do, like it was taking longer than i had wanted and i felt very bad and i am forever thankful for sd’s patience 😭😭😭. i really can’t be too mad though since i was working on the third year of my degree, but i still would’ve wanted to finish it sooner than i did. but as for the art itself---i actually love it lol. i always say to zoom in on my stuff to see all the details but i WISH folks would zoom in on that because it’s so big and so intricate. i love how everything turned out; i love how rich the colours are, i love the composition for all three panels, i love how the SKY looked like actually that’s the first time i sat down and painted clouds with that technique and i am so happy and pleased with how it looked im using it for everything LOL, i love jaime’s outfit in the 2nd panel---i actually designed a whole outfit for that and he DOES have his pouches and daggers, etc. stuff that he would have with him if he was a mercenary, but because of the cropping, those details were taken out but it’s THERE. i love the colours and the shading on the 3rd panel. it looks so soft and romantic and it’s everything 😭😭. honestly i didnt know if i was able to finish whole three panels just because of how big the project seemed, but tbqh this piece really pushed me as an artist and im really happy that i had the chance to work on it (-’: 

4. early morning.

this one is a more recent piece and i was thinking post canon jaime/brienne married and either living in casterly rock or evenfall hall. originally the sheets were gonna be red with the gold brocade but i just made it green to make their location more ambiguous. they’re in a castle because of the finery, but which castle i have no idea. anyway i love their faces here in particular--jaime because it’s not often that i draw him old (this is the second time i drew old jaime i think?) and i love how he turned out here. i love how he looks like a silver fox and a dilf and we really do love that for brienne. full disclosure, i have no idea how to draw older folks since i don’t have a lot of practice in that area so im glad my lack of experience doesn’t show lmao. i also love how soft brienne looks here! the little smile on her lips is very sweet, her body language and how relax she seems is very telling abt her confidence in this scene also i think i drew her hands hella well haha. all in all i think it’s a really sweet art! and the full version is not so bad either jaime’s ass was referenced from marble sculptures so you know im aiming for Quality. but i love this headcanon of a younger brienne tiring jaime out, i’ve read a handful fics about it and im happy i can do my own version of it hehe 

5. unravel.

wow we love domesticity. someone said that if you compile all my ns*w art of them together it’s like they haven’t left their bed ever since they got together and you know what? love that for them it’s what they deserve. anyway i chose this one because of how sensual and simple it is. their body language really does all the talking ; jaime’s hand pulling on the ties on her shift, her hand on his hair, how soft and lazy their kiss looks--it’s enough to tell the story me thinks! i just love how simple this whole thing is but it’s very effective. there’s really not much to it besides what you see but that’s really enough.

i am actually very proud of myself with how productive i’ve been. it’s really not often that i get as much drive and energy to post so much art. iirc my art tag is nearly 200 content already (i think it’s 180 ish rn?) and honestly that’s a LOT if you told me ill be making more than 100+ content for jb i would’ve been like nah im too lazy for that lmao. but im really proud of myself this year! i think i pushed myself as an artist and i’ve familiarized myself more with my strengths as well as my weaknesses. i have a clear idea on the areas that i need to work on, and i’ve really gotten more comfortable with being happy with my own pieces and i’m trying not to put myself down more if something doesn’t go the way i want it to. also, i’ve had the opportunity to work with more people this year--so for the people who has commissioned me or IS commissioning me rn--- thank you so much for trusting me with your visions 😭😭 ive never expected to get this kind of reception with my art but i am very grateful for all of it.
