october is proving to be VERY busy for me so once november hits i’ll schedule the final rewatch! we’ll watch the last five eps !!!

it’s okay!! there were only six or so people including myself but it was very fun regardless! though it’s a shame you couldn’t be there with us …. i know your commentary would be STELLAR!

do you ever think about how it felt, in the immediate after : with nikita standing there, gun lowered but still burning in her hands, as manny laid dead and unmoving right at her feet. that split second between all the chaos and the sudden silence in her head when it was over. maybe she finally thought, with utmost clarity, i’m a bad person. she hadn’t even hesitated. her mind made up the second she touched that gun, read that note. and she knows they know it too. maybe she waits for judgement, maybe she anticipates vitriol and shame, the same brand she recieved for safiya’s death a while ago — even if a while now feels like thirty years. she expects mat to hate her. to point and say, “see?” because she’s proven him right about that darkness inside, or whatever he was talking about.

but instead he rushes for her, babbling that she’s okay, that she had to do it, and he’s grabbing her with joey and comforting her. ; and mat is accepting her wholeheartedly. he is touching her with warmth and concern and he just watched her selfishly kill her best friend in order to live, and in that moment, he doesn’t care. it’s fine, he repeats, it’s fine. he has finally witnessed her worst and he doesn’t turn away or yell … it is almost like there is nothing between them anymore, none of that hurt and anguish and pain and anger, as if nikita being stripped bare in all her unforgivable parts has endeared mat to her somehow. it’s an odd thing what mat can forgive, and what he cannot. do you ever think about how all their tension clears here? in the face of murder and violence and betrayal? she’s just killed someone who she fought so hard to protect, who followed her and loved her unconditionally, and mat is suddenly calling her darling.

question about the etn watch parties: it conflicts with my class for one day so i’ll be a little late is that okay or will i not be able to go in if i’m a little late?

you can 100% join a little late! we’ll, again, be watching quite a few episodes so the party will be going on for an hour or two anyway! i don’t expect anyone to be there for the full time and i’m sure people will have to leave early, or join late, or the likes! sorry it conflicts a little with your schedule but i’m excited to see you there!
