based one the few bits we’ve seen in the sonic 3 trailers and shadow’s line about how sonic, tails, and knuckles being from a gun helicopter means he doesn’t want to talk,

i wonder if shadow might at first assume sonic, tails, and knuckles are the government’s attempt to make more living weapons based on his own creation.

Thinking about "your weakness is how you always want to be the hero" and how the series returns to this at the end

Li Lianhua hated how he acted as Li Xiangyi and spent years trying to distance himself from it, but ultimately he still fell back into the similar patterns, for all his added experience

His main priority was always to "do the right thing" regardless of how that would impact on those around him. And it *did* impact those around him. From Qiao Wanmian and Shan Gudao as Li Xiangyi to Fang Duobing and Di Feisheng as Li Lianhua

Giving the Styx flower to the emperor so he could use it as leverage to guarantee Fang Duobing and his family's safety. Using the last of his power to save Yun Biqiu. Constantly putting others above himself whilst actively refusing to recognise that his self-sacrificial nature would hurt those he cared about most

And sure, he thinks he's going to die anyway. They're going to be hurt regardless and he can't do anything about that. His odds are low of the Styx flower even working. But ultimately, he refuses to even consider trying. Li Xiangyi has been dead a long time and Li Lianhua is just there to tide things over. What value is the life of a ghost

To the end, he lives and dies a hero. To the end, he refuses to live for himself.

a week or two ago i got particularly heated over the boring human cop characters from the sonic movies (and the "scu" that they're trying to turn em into ugh) and drew this up in the moment to get my frustrations out. this is probably the most politically-charged thing i'm ever gonna draw so don't worry if this ain't your thing 🙏 anyways boycott paramount lol

I wonder which fandom will combust more. The Sonic fandom the moment Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie trailer is finally released or the Madness Combat fandom if Krinkels releases Episode 12 and maybe even another live action Madness Project Nexus trailer out of the blue. I already know there's ticking time bombs on both sides as the anticipation would get anyone at this point.

if sonic 3 gives us anything it needs to give us shadow and maria being actually happy on the ark. i know that shadow went through horrendous medical trauma growing up but with maria he was happy!! she was a safe haven for him!! nobody could hurt him while they were together and vice versa. they were happy together until it all went to shit!! he had a soul identical to hers they were both just silly kids and they were happy...

ok finished the one piece live action tldr I think people who like one piece / anime in general and are more into a story having a lot of heart and less into a perfect execution will probably have a lot of fun! everyone else if you can enjoy the netflix look of their originals and like whacky adventure stories give it a try!
