amarin heavenly thai, mid valley.
was craving for thai food some time last month, and found this thai restaurant which has been there forever, but i have never been to. we visited quite late after peak lunch hour but the restaurant is still quite full, which is a good sign.
the menu has quite a lot of dishes to pick from, most of them is good for sharing, with a few options as single portion dishes. we ordered steamed squid in lime sauce, pandan chicken and clear seafood tomyam soup to share and iced lemon tea to drink. the white rice is kinda free flow which is good because thai dishes always go so well with rice.
the squid is really good, the sourish spicy clear soup is very appetizing and the taste is quite addictive. the texture is bouncy and very enjoyable to eat. pandan chicken is quite big for each piece, smells great and has crispy skin with tender meat inside. i love the marinated taste very much. the soup is appetizing, more sour than spicy and seafood is very enjoyable, the soup is light and refreshing which is great for a heavy meal like this.
the service here is quite okay, the food was served quite quickly so we did not have to wait too long. while this might be a little pricey compared to other restaurants, i think the price is worth it because all the dishes is flavorful, appetizing and just so enjoyable overall.

Frames are ready for Episode 1 of SquidKeegan's Younger Years! Stay tune for the video. I'll begin animating soon. Marie worked hard to adopt SquidKeegan during this time. That lady pointing at her who is the head chief of the orphanage was a jerk though. She hated children.😐😅

Humble Games has announced a partnership with Squid Shock Studios to publish its debut game Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, which will be available for PC via Steam in 2024.
Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus was successfully funded on Kickstarter back in March 2022, where it surpassed its stretch goal for a Switch version and nearly achieved its stretch goal for PlayStation and Xbox versions.
When asked if it could confirm the release of Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus for consoles, a Humble Games representative said it will discuss future plans for console launches at a later date.
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Drift down from the Celestial Realm.
Flow with acrobatic grace and agility through a mysterious world of myth and legend in Bo: Path of the Teal Lotus, a colorful hand-drawn adventure inspired by Japanese folklore.
Undertake a mystical journey as Bo, a celestial blossom (fox tentaihana) descended from the heavens to play a key role in an ancient and mysterious ritual. Use your legendary bo staff to bounce and glide fluidly through an otherworldly realm of hand-drawn, dreamlike landscapes, strange and adorable yokai, and massive monsters summoned from ancient legends of Japan.
Key Features
Discover a Mysterious and Haunted World – Explore a diverse and interconnected world in a 2.5D side-scrolling action–platformer with Metroidvania elements. Journey to a haunted castle, a thriving Japanese-inspired metropolis, and many more strange and wondrous places—then find ways to travel back and fully explore newly unlocked paths and surprises.
Find your Flow – Navigate the world’s platforming challenges with acrobatic precision, elegance, and finesse. Use Bo’s distinctive move-and-reset system to reach new areas efficiently or recover when your footing flounders.
Master New Staff Transformations – Brew and drink arcane teas to unlock powerful new abilities for Bo’s shapeshifting staff. Mash foes with the Mochi Mallet, unlock new movement techniques like the Lotus Dash and Grappling Gun, and gracefully power up along your journey.
Collect Powerful Daruma Allies – Each colorful Daruma doll you discover can be upgraded and summoned to the battlefield, where these adorable and powerful allies can deploy spells and other spectacular abilities to aid you in combat.
Drawn from a Dream – Explore a vibrant 2.5D vision that blends the beauty of paintings, the personality of hand-drawn illustrations, and the elegance of papercraft.
Spirited Cast of Allies and Enemies – Engage with a larger-than-life cast of bizarre and adorable yokai (supernatural spirits from Japanese folklore) and other original characters inspired by Japanese myth, all brought to life with traditional hand-drawn 2D frame-by-frame animation. Help them with their side quests—or just stop by for a chat and a cup of tea.
Mythic Boss Battles – Challenge massive, awe-inspiring monsters drawn from Japanese folklore! You’ll need to call upon all of the knowledge and acrobatic skill you’ve gained to vanquish these powerful adversaries and advance further in your quest.
Move to the Music – Drift along to the music of a gorgeous original score composed by Moises Camargo, blending traditional Japanese instrumentation with modern orchestral music.

❝ i find the hues and shades of your shortcomings almost moving. ❞
"And what was I supposed to do? Tell Gortash to bugger off, get a career in politics and join the Council of Four to throw him out? Why not get myself assassinated while I'm at it, because some obscure fool hiding under a tavern thought it would be the right direction for my life?"
Though usually calm and even-tempered, the anger of the cleric erupted in short bursts. It seemed that the Emperor was not pleased with Ashen bringing him the news of Lord Gortash soon taking the command of the Flaming Fist. In truth, the chaplain was not pleased, either, but had nothing to oppose to the patriar but a few words of discontentment. Perhaps that was the source of his boiling temper; he felt powerless, and the lead of the Knights of the Shield turning his feelings to derision did nothing to improve it.
"You think you two are different, don't you, because you pull strings from the darkness while he pulls them with all of Baldur's Gate's approval? Pot calling the kettle black. You are both using the instability of my refugee position to get whatever you want from me, and frankly, if it were not for the fear of losing my home a second time, this encounter would have ended in blood, as far as I am concerned."
His fist was shaking, perhaps for the barely restrained hunger to seize his mace - but he kept a respectful distance from the hooded figure.
"Two decades serving, one in Avernus. Lost so many good people out there, to Zariel's legions, and all that's left? Profiteers like Gortash and you, not a single one with the decency of watching their running mouths. We've truly lost the best out there, we have."
