FAQ:

🪷why are so many of us mentally minors when the body is an adult (AND we don’t want minors interacting)? We are 21. That means for ~86% of our life, we’ve been a minor! If you cut out the first three years which we don’t remember, that’s still ~71%. Only 50% of our system are mentally minors, so that number is proportionately very low. While they mentally identify with ages younger than our body’s age, we prefer for our syskids to be treated the same as any other alter.

🪷what words are we comfortable with? In general, if you don’t know who’s fronting, we use they/them pronouns. We refer to ourselves as alters, but are comfortable being called headmates if other systems are uncomfortable calling us alters. Don’t call our syskids “littles”, we find it extremely infantilizing towards alters that are equally as complex as the rest of us. We consider the body transneutral and intend to transition/detransition every five years. We refer to the body as it/its and none of us consider the body ours, though its experiences are.

“Cringe” Opinions (written by Willow, subject to change):

Pro contradictory labels. People can label themselves as any queer identity they see fit and it’s none of my business to police that.

Profiction/proship: people do not deserve to be harassed for their taste in fiction and fiction catering towards adults should not be censored because of discomfort or a fear of “normalization”. Adults are capable of separating fiction from reality and are even capable of romanticizing abusive situations without acting them out or seeking them out

Pro endogenic systems: there is not proof that systems can only form from trauma, and I don’t trust the psychiatric institution anyway. I believe that enforcing the idea that systems can only form from trauma leads to fakeclaiming because people will argue that systems are not “traumatized enough” to be real. If someone tells you what their perception of their own identity and existence is, it’s better to believe them than deny who they are. Your perception of someone does not change their reality.

Not radqueer and generally against transID language, although I am not entirely against the concepts that transID language is used to convey, I think that it should not be conflated with queerness

Para neutral-positive ish. I do not think it is healthy to center a large part of your identity or community around a paraphilia, especially the harmful ones (“big 3”), online or offline. However, people with paraphilias can’t really control their attraction or be rid of it, and are free to engage in coping mechanisms as they need as long as no one is harmed. Having a paraphilia doesn’t make you a bad person, hurting others does.

Extremely wary of antisemitism disguising itself as pro-Palestine sentiment, and recognizing that the conflict is both: a war between Israel and Hamas, and a genocide against Palestinians. Generally agree with a two-state solution longterm. I participate in the BDS boycott.

Transmascs experience a targeted oppression that is an intersection of misogyny and transphobia and not just “run of the mill transphobia”. Obviously the label of transmisogyny is already in use for the oppression transfems face, so transmascs need their own word. This can be transandrophobia or antitransmasculinity or whatever it ends up being longterm, but transmascs are oppressed in unique ways that differ from (but are not greater/less than) the oppression that transfems face.

Intersex people are members of the LGBTQ+ community and should not be excluded from any conversation regarding LGBTQ+ issues or used as a “gotcha” and then disregarded. I believe we need to dismantle the concept of a sex binary entirely, which means not replacing it with another binary such as “TME/TMA”, “transmasc/transfem”, or “AFAB/AMAB”. I use these terms occasionally but only when referring to a specific group of people that it applies to. If I mean “people with vaginas” I will say “people with vaginas.”

I am anti-generative-ai but indulge in ai roleplays recreationally. I believe companies that create generative ais should be required to pay the artists they train their AIs on and receive consent to use their work to train generative ais. I do not promote the usage of generative ais and encourage people to avoid them.

I am anti-callout-post. Most of the time they are just harassment campaigns.

Children should be protected from abuse, which means giving them more rights and protections against their families. Children are people that are inexperienced, not objects to shape.

Syskids/“littles” are not children, and it is up to a system to decide how they want others to interact with their syskids. If the body is an adult and the system generally believes the syskids are mature enough, a syskid can consent. An actual child cannot consent because they are not mature enough and there are no circumstances in which a sexual or romantic relationship between an adult and a child will result in a positive improvement on the child’s life.

If you don’t like someone online, just block and move on if you can’t/don’t want to have a rational debate with them. Don’t harass people for opinions you don’t like when you could easily just block them.

After the bar closed for the night, Rinnie went to one of the lounges to relax. She picked one with many windows and provided a spectacular view of the sky. Neither of the moons were in view, but Rinnie was content with the stars. She ended up dozing off while naming the various constellations.

Sometime later, she awoke to someone gently shaking her shoulder. She opened her eyes to the dim light in the lounge. It was probably around three.

Taryn stood over Rinnie, a bemused smile on her face.

“You know, I considered letting you sleep here until you woke up, but you’ll probably mess up your neck.”

Rinnie sat up straighter.

“And the pirates?” the hooded woman asked.

“We’ll take care of them,” Mama reassured her.

Riela beckoned to the newcomer. “Follow me, please.”

“I’ll send you some ale and a sandwich,” Mama called after them.

“Thank you,” the woman whispered exaggeratedly.

Riela led her up the first flight of stairs, then the second.

“Pirates, huh?” Riela asked.

“They kidnapped me three years ago and I was finally able to escape,” she whispered.

Riela raised her eyebrows, impressed the woman had lasted so long with the pirates before escaping. She kept her thoughts to herself, however.

They started the steps up slowly again. Taryn’s heart soared from the look on Rinnie’s face.

At one point, Taryn stumbled again. Rinnie effortlessly did some sort of hop-skip-spin thing that looked highly complicated to avoid falling. Taryn froze, waiting for Rinnie’s gun to go clanking to the ground. Rinnie grinned.

“Relax, Taryn, I’ve done this before,” she sang.

It was then that Taryn was convinced that Rinnie could do anything.

As Riela delivered the drinks, Barkin grabbed her arm.

“Riela,” he said, his voice quiet. “It’s not safe around here anymore.”

“I know.” Riela kept her face blank and her voice even. “I’ve heard the whispers.”

“It’s gonna get worse,” Barkin cautioned. “Get out if you can. If you can’t, find some means to protect yourself. Tell that young dwarf friend of yours the same thing I told you. And Janna, she’s too pretty to get hurt.”

Riela wanted to tell Barkin that it wasn’t just the women who should look out. The men merely had a different set of problems. The Nidtrins wanted to take the magically gifted women and make them priestesses, and the magically lacking and make them warriors. They’d make the men warriors too, once they were brainwashed. Anyone who resisted too much would be killed.

💫STRANGE💫

Killian checked the Nidtrin table again. Half an hour ago, the large one had approached Riela, only to be shut down with one of her trademark glares. The three of them had since amassed an impressive collection of empty glasses on the table and Janna struggled to keep up.

They were an interesting study, Killian admitted. The two men were laughing and animatedly talking with others around the table while the woman leaned back in her seat casting sultry smiles this way and that. She’d slowly been loosening her bodice as the night wore on. Killian watched her sigh again, her blouse coming dangerously close to showing nipples, to the great interest of the men and women around her. Killian wasn’t sure what to make of that.

Mama walked out of the kitchen with a few bottles which she set in the bar with practiced efficiency. She noted where Killian was looking and tsked. “She’s desperate for attention and knows how to get it.”

“Strange,” Killian persisted. “I’ve seen better-looking half-naked prostitutes get less attention here.”

The old woman adjusted her glasses and squinted. “Oh I see,” she said as the Nidtrin woman slid onto the lap of another man at the table and played with his ear. “Well, that won’t do’t’all.”

Ah, Killian thought to himself. Divine glamour. Those don’t work on me.
