Hello, everyone!
Just posting to let you know that I'll be closing my inbox for a little while. It won't be long, and I have two asks in my drafts to publish when I can write them, but things are going on!
I'm also in the process of setting up another askblog [that I'll link here when it's looking pretty], so I don't want to make myself overwhelmed! ~ Yours, 🎠

Carnival - Dalton Lambert
Pairing: Dalton Lambert x Reader
Summary: You and Dalton attend the Halloween carnival together and in turn face both of your fears.
Warnings: fluff, so much fluff, probs ooc Dalton
A/N: I love writing for Dalton so much! This is a chapter from my upcoming Dalton fic 'Lie to Me,' I've turned it into a one shot so the actual chapter is gonna be a little different. Hope you guys enjoy and please let me know what you think! I love you all xxx
The atmosphere on campus was excitable, everyone was getting ready for the Halloween carnival, and you were no different. Your roommate, Chris leaned against the doorframe as you finished getting ready for the carnival.
You met her gaze in the mirror and grinned, “can I help you with something?”
“Why are you doing this, Y/N?”
You frowned at her as you applied a layer of your favourite lipstick, “what do you mean?”
“You’re going to the carnival with Dalton? When you could go with anybody else, Y/N you can get anyone you want at this school.”
You bit your lip and turned to face your roommate, “I like Dalton,” and it was true, you did like him. He was so different from anyone else.
“He’s my best friend, Y/N. When you break his heart it’s me that’s going to have to pick up the pieces.”
“When?” you glared at her, “Chris, I’m not some heartless bitch, I’m not going to hurt him.”
Before Chris could reply, the boy in question knocked on the doorframe and you smiled at him as he came into view. He looked so handsome in a button down shirt and his long hair was loose and wavy.
“Hey, you look great,” he grinned, a flush spreading out onto his cheeks and the bridge of his nose.
You smiled as you grabbed your jacket, “thanks! So do you.”
Chris looked between you and Dalton and rolled her eyes, “ugh, I’ll meet you guys there.”
For the end of October, the weather was pretty good, it was breezy but not cold. It was a bit of a walk from the university to the ground where the carnival was being held so you contented yourselves by making light conversation. You spoke about your classes, his Art classes and your Criminal Justice classes. In the light of day, he looked so tired and you hoped that his classes weren’t wearing him out.
Finally, the smell of funnel cakes and popcorn, coupled with laughter and screams of delight were carried on the brisk October wind. You and Dalton smiled at each other as you walked into the carnival.
“I love funnel cake,” Dalton grinned.
“Me too,” you looked wistfully over at the stall before turning to the handsome boy at your side, “but rides first?”
He laughed and pushed his long hair back with his hand, “that’s a good idea, what do you want to go on first?”
You looked around, trying to decide before you gasped and clutched at his sleeve, “please, can we go on the ghost train?” you pointed over to it.
Dalton bit his lip as his gaze followed where you were pointing. It looked as though he was going to refuse – he had a strange look on his face – but he nodded with a sweet smile, “sure, let’s go.”
You grabbed his hand, smiling up at him when he linked your fingers together as you walked over to the ghost train. He refused to look at you, keeping his eyes firmly fixed on the grass but you didn’t miss the way a flush spread across his cheeks. As soon as you walked into the pitch black to wait for the ride Dalton’s grip on your hand tightened and he pulled you closer to him but you didn’t think anything of it.
The ghost train was pretty good, it had the cheesy cheap thrills that you loved but there were moments that actually made you jump. Dalton seemed to be on edge the whole way round, he bounced his leg and his hand was still clutching yours, gripping tighter when there was a jump scare.
“Hey,” you whispered, “are you okay?”
He nodded, “yeah,” he whispered back, “I’m just a little jumpy,” you nodded and didn’t push it but you noticed how relieved he was when you left the darkness of the ghost train and suggested a roller coaster.
After a few exhilarating roller coasters you both walked towards the food stalls still hand in hand, “so, what’s your favourite ride?” you asked.
“Um, it’s kind of lame,” he laughed, “but when my mom and dad were still together we’d all go on the Ferris Wheel together, and it was perfect. So, I guess it’s the Ferris Wheel,” he flushed, you’d very rarely heard him speak about his parents, it did seem like he didn’t like talking about them much. He looked back at you with a grin, “you want to come on it with me?”
You bit your lip and looked away from him, feeling silly, “I’m terrified of heights,” you looked back at Dalton who gave you a confused look, “I’m alright on roller coasters because they’re over so quick but I can’t think of anything worse than being suspended in the air in a metal wheel,” you shuddered, “I’m sorry Dalton.”
Dalton shook his head and gave you a kind smile, “you don’t have to apologise for anything, Y/N. Come on, let’s get some food.”
On the way to the stalls, you ran into Chris and stopped to speak with her while Dalton walked ahead to get the food, “did I see you guys coming out of the ghost train earlier?”
“Yeah, so what?” you asked.
Chris laughed, “how did you persuade him? Did you have to kiss him?” when Chris saw that you had no idea what she was going on about, she carried on, “he’s terrified of the dark, when we were roommates briefly he had to plug a nightlight in. He must really like you, Y/N.”
“Really?” you asked, not sure if you should believe her. Chris nodded with a smirk on her face, you glanced up to see Dalton walking towards you with the food and a warm smile on his face. You instantly felt bad, if Dalton could get over his fear for you then surely you could do the same for him. You smiled at him as he greeted Chris and you thanked him for the food, “okay, I’ll come on the Ferris Wheel with you.”
Dalton raised an eyebrow and he frowned, “we don’t have to, Y/N.”
“No, no. I want to, Dalton,” you smiled at him before you could second guess yourself. You hardly tasted the food as you and Dalton walked through the carnival, you couldn’t keep your eyes off the huge metal wheel, it seemed crazy that you would soon be up there.
As you queued up for the wheel, Dalton’s hold on your hand tightened and he pulled you closer again but it was wildly different to how he had held you in the queue of the ghost train. It was his turn to comfort you. When you got to the front you thought your legs would stop working but miraculously you managed to follow him and sit down in one of the seats. You jolted as the wheel began to move slowly.
“You’re okay, Y/N. I’m not going to let anything happen to you.”
You nodded and gave him a shaky smile, “thank you.”
Your heart thumped wildly in your chest as the Ferris Wheel creaked and you slowly moved towards the apex. Dalton grinned as he looked over at the view and you felt brave enough to lean over him and take in the scene below, the people down below looked like ants and the clouds seemed so close. Dalton’s presence was so comforting that you even managed to relax as the wheel stopped at the top.
“Are you okay?”
You nodded, “yeah, I think I am, thank you for being so great about this,” you laughed nervously.
Dalton shook his head and tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, “you don’t have to thank me, Y/N,” he grinned and you noticed just how pretty his eyes were and you noticed the different tones of blue.
With a flush you leaned up and kissed his cheek, Dalton didn’t have the chance to react to your kiss because the wheel began moving again and you squeaked as you jolted. Dalton laughed, giving you an apologetic look as the ride moved back to solid ground, to which you were thankful for.
As you both met up with Chris at the end of the ride she smirked and held up her phone, “oh you guys are just adorable,” she laughed as she showed you both the pictures she took.
You both laughed at the picture of you looking scared, your eyes wide, nearly bulging out of your head. Dalton stopped laughing abruptly and looked at you with a flush as Chris flicked to the picture of you kissing his cheek.
Chris smirked, “come on, I’m still hungry. Let’s go to the diner down the road.”

Ragatha x mute s/o headcanons pls? I love her so much ToT she's so sweet
Ragatha x mute!reader
UEUEUEUE I wasnt expecting to get TADC requests but I am all for it! Perhaps I should make an official post to advertise requests being open, feed into this new interest of mine.. mweheheheh
Side note! I'm writing this on mobile, so there may be more typos and grammar mistakes than my recent stuff (which has been done on computer)
I simply
Do not wanna get out of bed, it's very cold in my house <\\3
That said I hope you enjoy! Possible OOC since I'm still studying characters and trying to figure out how I wish to write/interpret them!
+ some other hcs since the post felt too short with the simple base idea
Right off the back with the main idea that helped push me to answer this now rather than later; ragatha would definitely learn sign language so she can understand you, if you find sign language to be easier/more convenient ! If not she always keeps a pen and paper on her in case you need it/forget your own notebook
Immediately welcomes you to the circus, similar to in the pilot she would show you around and explain the general way of things in the digital circus
Advocates for you when others (mostly Jax) speak over you (ignoring your signing, your writing, ect) or dont pay attention to you in a conversations
She doesnt try to force you to speak, nor does she pry for why you're mute
Generally very sweet and patient and stands up for you in group settings and makes you people pay attention to your input
No thoughts only you two cuddling in one of yalls rooms and you start pressing signs into her skin, communicating that you love her or that shes pretty or that you're enjoying being around her , stuff like that. I think that's sweet, like how some people trace a finger over someones freckles or moles during cuddles
Now onto more general hcs and ideas
I saw a ferris wheel at the digital carnival. You already know what I'm about to say: THE FERRIS WHEEL GETTING STUCK TROPE. Ragatha tries to keep the air nice and light while you guys wait for Caine to fix the issue. Afterall, she ain't afraid of anything but centipedes!
Speaking of, you're not afraid of centipedes, are you? Borrowing this from random things #7, where I mention an idea of the reader helping rid her room of the wretched things, that can be a surprisingly nice bonding moment with you two just talking and you letting her vent her frustrations
You two naturally gravitate to one another when Caine has everyone do a game or challenge or whatever he has planned for that day

hi i have been TAKING NOTES and doing quick summaries of the streams i watched starting with void arc! they're not perfect notes or anything esp if you have different priorities than me but should give you an idea of what happened when and which are important vs grindy, which ones you can skim for a specific conversation/battle, etc. here's my notes on void arc (i also have notes for the more recent arcs but my notes on presidency arc are pretty sparse & my notes on the current arc include notes on jumper+minute streams which i don't want to put on zam's post, so if anyone wants those just hmu privately):
1/8/24 : baconwaffles stream, void hole yayyyyy. build base in parrot hole. planetlord is there. this is i think the first void-relevant stream?
1/10/24 : baconwaffles stream, recruiting jumper who + trying and failing to trap a couple people and getting a bit bitchy about it before successfully trapping 4C
1/11/24 : baconwaffles stream, jumper pretends to hire PMC to see if they will betray her, however she staged it, other void ponies plan to confront her tomorrow.
1/12/24 : baconwaffles stream, confronting jumper. it works out though yayyyyy.
1/13/24 : mapicc & roshambo streams; mapicc pro-void roshambo anti-void
1/15/24 : baconwaffles stream, recruiting pentar, doing the jepex video. pentar stuff is relevant to void arc but jepex video recording isnt rly
1/16/24 : pangi stream, mentions recording the ending of the ro video yesterday and losing a bunch of hearts, zam is So Mad abt the foundation taking all his armor sets that he ~reconciles with pangi (pangi was anti-void). only relevant timestamps are 8:00 - 38:38. the first 8 minutes are maaaybe worth watching also but everything after that is just grinding hearts
1/17/24 : pangi stream, pangi grinds hearts some more. then FIRST SQUIDDO TUMBLR LIVE (tumblr imagine)
1/20/24 : baconwaffles stream, void ponies frustrated that they keep getting targeted, still don’t trust jumper. try and fail to do traps. also squiddo was live on tumblr live again and actually did lifesteal activities. our first and last lifesteal lore on tumblr live
1/22/24 : baconwaffles stream, minute has filled all the void traps at spawn up with water to Very High Up, bacon + zam + mapicc watch parkour civ, try to clear it out. bacon mapicc zam take a 3v3 w minute wemmbu and spoke. abyss gets frustrated a lot
2/1/2024 : vitalasy stream, vitalasy gets tour from 4C, flies with elytra for the first time, kills a couple of zam’s villagers
2/2/2024 : bacon stream, argument with ash about whether ash has to give bacon hearts back? might be the one zam referenced the next day, might not? note: i didn’t watch this one i just skimmed the vod. i should go back and watch it
2/3/2024 : pangi + mapicc streams. gordon ramsay IHOB bit. mapicc digs around in the floor carting and kills some people (mostly pangi). zam dies a bunch. nothing void-related but it's cute and fun if you are a Lifesteal Shenanigans Enjoyer
2/7/2024 : zam + vitalasy streams, zam + vitalasy meeting :DDD in which zam mentions that void ponies might want to end the server with this? also zam grinding stream in which he and bacon admit to reading tumblr
2/9/2024 : zam stream, making a depressing carnival for the void trap. mostly grinding and complaining.
2/10/2024 : zam + roshambo streams. this one’s kinda rough ooc, no one's plans work out. foundation tries to do a thing with withers but it doesn’t work out. carnival doesn’t work out either. nothing much happens. squiddo has an edited video of her pov of this!
2/13/2024 : vitalasy stream, vitalasy moves wardens, lies a little to jumper about heart count but promises to the viewers it'll make sense soon; mapicc was live but idk what he was doing?; zam is live on leowook’s account but doesn’t do much
2/23/2024 : zam stream, zam collects materials for a redstone machine, panics a little bit abt whether they might take the server off fabric, blows up some stuff for getting rid of All Of Spawn, talks abt editing his wormhole video. mostly just grinding
2/24/2024 : zam + vitalasy streams. on zam stream planet+minute jump zam+mapicc. session is interrupted bc the server goes down. void hole at spawn is coming along well. they play golf. void ponies all still think jumper is sus. on vitalasy stream, vitalasy does some terraforming, says his plan will Happen Tomorrow
2/25/2024 : zam stream + vitalasy stream + another zam stream. zam writes signs, void ponies take vitalasy hostage, jumper kills vitalasy, jumper goes live on vitalasy’s account with a book + scavenger hunt, vitalasy explains his plan of being with void ponies all along, gives jumper all his stuff, explains that he’s quitting lifesteal, and asks jumper to kill him; 3v5 void ponies vs foundation, foundation loses, planet kills himself; zam writes signs some more, void ponies decide to do a puzzle to give the foundation more hope. basically everything that happened on this day was important and lore-dense
2/26/2024 : zam stream, zam tries to make a sand duper
2/27/2024 : zam stream, zam builds detective agency. but pink this time :3 pretty kitty detective agency :3 also makes some paths. its nice but not much Plot happens
2/28/2024 : zam stream, more blowing up spawn lol
3/1/2024 : two zam streams, zam crafts pistons, uploads to VOD channel, watches more parkour civ, plays various non-minecraft games periodically. wemmbu and squiddo crash the server; wemmbu + zam confrontation, minute and zam feel each other out for an uneasy alliance against wemmbu while still being very much against each other <- first stream. second stream (might start after midnight/on 3/2 depending on time zone?): wemmbu + zam + minute at void hole, singleplayer testing
3/2/2024 : SO MUCH HAPPENS. wemmbu nukes. abyss scavenger hunt starts. etc. vods: 4c (pre-session), zam, minute, reddoons
3/3/2024 : zam stream, bedrock breaking slash valorant stream
3/4/2024 : zam stream, ash blew up the pistons Sadge. another grinding stream! in the evening ash and zam have a fight
3/5/2024 : minute+zam streams. REKRAP IS HERE. also jepexx trolls zam. and then zam goes on a healing arc and writes Positive Signs and gives himself a pep talk as an image of wemmbu
3/7/2024 : zam + rekrap + reddoons + poafa + roshambo. more puzzle solving. linear algebra clue is created. lots of grinding the machine and machine breaking. rekrap was live on his alt for a while also yippee! and then raided red who raided poafa who raided roshambo. stream chain :D i just watched zam for most of it though even though it was mostly just grinding. sorry to the actual puzzle solvers
3/8/2024 : zam + rekrap streams; once again i only watched zam. happy international women’s day! we get some eclipse federation mentions due to the clue which is awesome for me personally. also, wemmbu is unbanned & working on something; clown+minute+zam find a new orbital strike cannon, play around with plugin to see if he’s put stuff in it; wemmbu crashes the server a few times. imo primary interesting thing here was finding the orbital strike canon
3/9/2024 : minute + zam + jumper streams. zam and minute stream end of void arc. ashswag fucking HATES the linear algebra clue. foundation solves the puzzles with 5 minutes left before the bedrock starts breaking; void ponies all jump into the void except jumper, who reveals that she’s been a double agent for the foundation the whole time. then jumper goes live and does a qna!
hi princezam/princesszam/beingzam /ref
Where should I start for s5 for lifesteal, because I haven't caught up on it AT ALL. T_T.
well if you’re willing to vod watch I’d start at the beginning of the abyss arc. The streams happened from January 7th onward so if you have the vod spreadsheet made by the awesome archivists that’s where you’d start. You probably don’t have to watch every stream a lot of them are insanely long, but unfortunately I don’t know which ones are the important ones and which ones aren’t.
but if that’s not your style, I also have this massive recap that I wrote one time it’s like on my page somewhere. Once you’ve read it you can basically jump into any recent stream although it is missing a few more recent details unfortunately.
lastly if you like YouTube videos I’m starting to post highlights on my 2nd channel starting at the beginning of the void arc! They’re like kinda daily I finished the 2nd one today I’m just waiting until tmrw to post it. Hoping I can keep this up until it becomes too much and then I’ll try and pass it off to editors ideally.
#if anyone has more detailed notes or notes on streams i didnt watch pls feel free to add them!#mcyt#lifesteal#also also i assume op has seen s4 bc they are just asking abt s5#but if anyone else is reading this and wants to catch up on s4#there are some rly good/indepth resources for 'here are a bunch of vod summaries / notes of the important vods' for s4 also#once again hmu if you want those!

Thoughts watching 4x01 – 4x04 altogether. This does contain spoilers – I am acknowledging all 4 episodes in my thoughts/reflections over the arcs that are in play – not just the information as we get it.
Thoughts while watching 4x01 - these are getting too long to post it all at once.
Kinda weird that they blame TK for wanting the “dream” venue – when in reality – Carlos was the one holding it all up – NOT TK.
The line “You didn’t tell TK the truth” is kinda misleading – since they never act like it was a lie in the show – so weird – Why do this storyline as a secret marriage – but nothing about how it was a lie? -This isn’t exactly a good thing – seeing as how TK gets blamed for every little thing – including in this arc. – still baffles me.
I don’t need an apology on screen – but to completely ignore this being a lie isn’t beneficial to the character – it could have been a great way to have him confront the issues that have brought him to this point – but to ignore it – It makes it look like they only added that part of the storyline as a way to set up TK to take the blame – because that is the overall theme of the show at this point.
Still think that TK handles this whole ‘fiancé is legally married to his best friend – that I’ve never met – or heard about in the last couple of years (and when he did it was at work, because of Michelle) with so much more grace than any real actual human would.
My issue is not at all with the marriage itself – it is with the fact it was a lie (for years) – but the show acts like it was just fine and dandy – no big deal. He is legally married – that is a big deal – especially when they have this ridiculously short time span to get married at the “dream” venue – ALL to further set it up so that they can blame TK for the Iris/Carlos kidnappings – or at least make TK think it was his fault (along with a scary amount of the fandom – still – even after the whole thing is done).
I don’t understand why they love to make Owen look so incredibly naïve all the time – with every new person he meets – it is not an endearing quality – it just makes him looks continually stupid & easily led.
The acting this season is fucking amazing – starting from the beginning – just so great, so much effort & talent being displayed this season.
I do like that TK didn’t completely blow up – but this was almost a non-reaction – which was probably the most ooc thing to me about all 4 episodes
At least the 1st episode had more than one rescue
I feel like we will be seeing the wedding of Brianna & Caleb – and that Caleb will inevitably get stuck in something.
Also – I don’t care if you almost died – I am not kissing you when you are covered in literal shit & other nasty things from the porta potty – sorry, but fuck that.
I still thinks it’s hilarious when Rev. Parks just pushes his daughter out of the ride – Like I know he had to, but it was still hilarious.
Working 4 seasons in rides at Cedar Point was enough to make it so that I never rode a carnival ride again – the lack of safety shit is insane – I don’t even like the carnival type rides at Cedar point – particularly Giant Wheel (Ferris wheel).
I love how Nancy just calls everyone out on their love lives – “He is a repeat customer”
That moment of panic when Carlos hears that Michelle is basically out of communication for three months – lovely
I feel like a lot of the Carlos/Iris conversation is super superficial – also the “currently not in a coma” line is just – weird? Like – why is that the best thing he could say about his fiancé?
I don’t think I will ever understand the logic behind making meeting & approving of TK a condition of signing the papers – or that Carlos went from “You’re joking” to ok, no problem. More areas that were just used to add drama to set up a way to blame TK.
I do know that I keep saying that they just keep setting up ways to blame TK – but they are – Literally it is brought up in 4x03 & 4x04 – with no acknowledgement of WHY TK talked to her in the first place.
I hate it when I am reminded that Owen is a history nerd like me – but, I guess if I have to have something in common with him – I am glad it is that.
Judd – the voice of reason when it comes to Owen – if only he would actually listen to the man.
Owen needs a fucking keeper – unfortunately for Judd & Mateo – they are the only ones qualified for the job
The long church scene really isn’t my thing – glad it was at the end – it would have taken me completely out of the episode. I get that there are people that loved it, if not for Tommy & Grace’s reactions – I would just totally skip to the next ep. - this is totally a personal thing & and I can appreciate that there were people who loved it or were able to relate to it - that just isn't me.

Notes: I wrote this little piece for @nobodys-baby-now‘s birthday! Vee, I thought it was only fair since you gave me your first ever finished Adrian fic for my birthday, I’d return the favour with my first ever finished Adrian fic for yours!
I won’t make it to sappy for reasons known to you and me, but: You’re an incredible friend and I am so happy to know you. Thank you for being there, for making me laugh, for coming up with AUs with me and for teaching me to love idiots-to-lovers even more than I already did. I hope you recognize some elements from this, and I really hope like this, happy birthday 🥳💖🧜♂️!
Pairing Adrian Chase/Vigilante x f!reader
Rating: T, I suppose (But my blog is very 18+, so no minors!)
Word count: 2.4k
Warnings: female reader + female pronouns, fluff, a sprinkle of angst, food mentions, bets (because they’re my brand), I’ve not watched Peacemaker in a bit so maybe OOC Adrian?... I’d say that’s it! Please let me know if I missed something!
------
It’s when you’re keeping watch during a mission that you notice it.
The poster is about the same size as you, with a large Ferris wheel at the centre, and at the credit of some underpaid graphic design employee, the smaller attractions and happy customers are photoshopped around it. With its size, bright colours and silly fonts, it’s all but screaming, ‘Notice me! Notice me!’ at you from across the street
A carnival is coming to Evergreen and is staying for a whooping two months.
The sight of the poster makes your stomach turn and your imagination run amok.
Perfect families enjoying an evening out.
Friends laughing and sharing cotton candy.
Dates holding hands and kissing atop the Ferris wheel.
It isn’t disgust, but certain jealousy that the images evoke – none of these things had really been a part of your life.
But it’s the last one in particular that gets you.
It’s not that you’re unsuccessful in the dating department. It’s just that the older you get, the more you realize people are only interested in one thing. People don’t often date you with the intention of getting to know you, or discovering if it is worth building something with you, it’s always about the physical – actually, thinking about it as you are, you can’t remember the last time someone even offered—
“I’ll take you.”
Adrian’s sudden appearance next to you nearly makes you jump.
“What?” you say highly, your voice letting on a lot more than you want it to when you whip your head around to look at him.
“The carnival,” he says. “You want to go, right? Someone who looks at a poster like that for a quick second just wants to know what it says, but you’re starring. Leads me to conclude you want to go.”
Briefly, as you stare at the red visor to try and read his expression, you wonder if you had been talking out loud earlier, with the way he’s apparently reading your mind right now. As a result, the sound you make in reply is non-committal; better to keep it in the middle. You don’t know exactly what he means with, “I’ll take you,” and the last thing you need is an awkward conversation about it during a mission.
To that, Adrian just nods, before adding, “I’m sorry I scared you.”
“You didn’t,” you scoff, willing the embarrassment that starts to flower up your body away.
“Yeah, right,” Adrian says, and you don’t have to try to read his expression this time, you know he’s twisting it into a sceptical look. “You almost jumped.”
“Shut up.”
------
The next couple weeks at work are incredibly hectic, which can be expected when one’s job is saving the world. There are stake-outs, dangerous infiltrations, long rides home in the van – and you’re on one of those rides now.
The late afternoon sun colours everyone’s exhausted but satiated faces in orange hues. Next to you, Adrian shuffles in place uncomfortably, hands placed at his sides to crack his back. He heaves a sigh of relief afterwards, at which point he decides to say, “We should go to the carnival tonight.”
His comment throws you off, and it’s not just because of the moment, it’s about him suggesting this at all. After weeks, you were sure Adrian had forgotten all about his offer, and even though you hate to admit it, it had made you upset. And now, just when you’re starting to get over your disappointment, he re-ignites your hope embarrassingly fast.
“I’m going to pick you up at eight,” he says.
His determination makes your lips curl into a small smile, but you’re not going to fold that easily. “Bold of you to assume that I don’t already have plans,” you say, faux-nonchalantly.
Adrian’s face turns to you so quick that you’re sure he’s hitting Emilia in the head with the back of his mask. “Are you going with someone else?”
It’s then that you remember that even the smallest drop of fake-nonchalance is enough for Adrian to believe it. “I’m just fucking with you,” you assure him after turning to face him. “I don’t have plans tonight.”
“Pfff, yeah, I totally knew that,” he says with a scoff, adjusting in place again and doing a terrible job of masking his relief. His visor stays on you for a bit longer, almost as if he’s waiting for something else.
“And I’m not going to the carnival with someone else,” you add.
“Okay, cool,” Adrian says, voice cheerful. He leaps to his feet just as the van comes to a stop outside of Henenlotter Video. “So, tonight, at eight?”
“See you at eight.”
As Adrian jumps from the back of the van and disappears to find his car, you swear you hear him say, “It’s a date.”
Despite your best efforts, you can’t push down the warm, fuzzy feeling that leaves you with.
------
Adrian, punctual as he is, parks his Sebring in front of the motel most of your team is staying in exactly at eight. After you get in, you notice the plain clothes he’s wearing are a sweater-and-jeans combination you’ve see him in before. His circle-framed glasses are perched on his nose, sliding down slightly, but quickly pushed in place again when he turns onto the street.
The carnival, it turns out, is close; close enough to have walked if you really wanted. When you raise this point with Adrian, he just scoffs, and murmurs something about dates picking you up being the first rule of going on dates, before he steps out of the car after parking on the overcrowded parking lot.
You’re quick to follow, and when you round the corner off the lot and into the carnival, it’s immediately clear Evergreen takes their carnivals seriously. It’s packed, bright lights flicker and change colour, there’s sounds coming from everywhere, and you stay plastered to Adrian side as he leads you through the crowd.
------
You notice fairly early into the evening that Adrian knows the carnival like the back of his hands. He knows where to get tickets quickly, where to get the best cotton candy, knows which machines have the highest success rate and he even shows you an arcade machine where he has the high score. It’s unexpectedly enjoyable to see Adrian so in his element outside of work, and the way his eyes light up when you ask him questions makes you beam in return.
When he’s in the middle of showing you a pinball machine, something you know how to use but you let him show you anyway, there’s something that catches Adrian’s eye that gives him pause. You follow his line of sight, and see a Shoot A Duck stand. A large man shows one of his customers how to use the gun, and just as he does, he gets tapped on the shoulder by a bald man. They exchange words and the bald man takes the large man’s place in the stand.
“This is our chance,” Adrian says when the large man disappears behind a curtain.
“What?” you ask confused, keeping an eye on your game as you do.
“I’ll explain later,” Adrian assures you. “Come on, this will be fun, I promise.”
The eagerness in his voice is hard to miss, and it makes you curious as to what ‘chance’ Adrian is talking about, so you leave your game behind. After a short walk and a five minute wait at the Shoot A Duck stand, you get your answer.
“You have thirty seconds, you can play for three, five or ten ducks,” the bald man explains when Adrian approaches the counter. “Which do you want?”
Adrian’s eyes sparkle with mischief when he looks at you, before turning back and replying, “I’ll shoot thirty, and then she gets to pick whatever she wants,” he replies, nodding at the prizes surrounding the ducks.
You bring a hand up to your face to hide your smile, immediately catching on to his plan.
Adrian can hit those thirty ducks with his eyes closed.
“You can play for three, five or ten ducks,” the man presses. “Or you can go.”
“Fine.” Adrian reaches for something in his pocket, then smashes a 100 dollar bill onto the counter, “I’ll add this, too. You win, you can keep this and my tickets. I win, she gets to pick whatever she wants.”
The man looks Adrian up and down and grins, Adrian’s smaller build clearly reason to count himself a rich man, and he agrees to the terms, then hands over the gun. “Good luck, little friend,” he says.
Adrian brings the gun up to his face, lining the sight on top up with his eye. It dawnes on you then that you get to see Adrian like you never get to see him – in Vigilante mode without his mask on. His expression is serious, concentrated, his stance is perfect… and then the man tells him it’s his time.
It’s over in a flash – thirty perfect shots, an extra one for good measure.
The man’s expression – open-mouthed, cheeks flushed, brows furrowed – is the biggest win of all.
Adrian takes his 100 dollar bill back from the counter, then turns to face you, beaming with pride. “So, what do you want?”
You bite your lip with a smile, before pointing towards a medium sized stuffed animal in the form of a bat. The bald man turns to retrieve Adrian’s winnings, then hands it over with some mellow words of congratulations.
The mood turns quick when the curtain at the back of the stand swings open, and the large man emerges.
“Adrian?!” he shouts, his voice like thunder. “I told you not to come back here!”
“Sorry, Casper. “Adrian blindly presses his prize to your chest, keeping eye contact with the large man as he backs away. Then, he takes your free hand and pulls you with him to make a run for it and disappear into the crowd. “No takebacks!” he shouts over his shoulder.
When the crowd clears and there’s more room to run, you zoom after your partner for the evening, clutching your prize close, until eventually you turn a corner where you can hide in case Casper follows after you. With a shared laugh, you catch your breaths, and you can’t help but voice your excitement.
“That was amazing,” you pant. “You were amazing; you should tell Chris about that tomorrow.”
“It was pretty great,” Adrian agrees, your compliments only adding to his flushed state.
You scan your surroundings as Adrian cleans his fogged up glasses, and realize you’ve ended up right next to the Ferris wheel.
“I want some more excitement,” you say, offering Adrian your outstretched hand. “Let’s get on there.”
------
From up here, you have a perfect outlook on the city.
“Didn’t think I’d ever say it, but Evergreen actually looks kind of pretty like this,” you say, referring to all the lights that are visible all the way to the horizon.
“That’s only because crime is so hard to see from up here,” Adrian replies tightly.
You whip your head back to him to offer him a witty retort, but when you do you find Adrian isn’t looking at the view. His head is bent down towards the floor of the cart, and as the carnival lights reflect in his glasses, you get brief glimpses at his narrowed eyes.
“Oh, my god,” you say, leaning back in your seat. “You’re afraid of heights.”
“No, I’m not!” Adrian says immediately, head still pointed down.
Your banter is suddenly interrupted when the Ferris wheel comes to a halt, making your cart sway back and forth. Adrian lets out a soft yelp, soft enough to have gone unnoticed had you not been paying attention to him, but loud enough to realize he really is afraid and that your time of teasing is over for now.
You scoot forward, your knees pressed up against his, and you close your hands over his balled fists. “Look at me,” you say softly, brushing your thumbs over his skin. “It’ll be just me, it’s so you can focus on something.”
It takes a second, and then you watch as Adrian lifts his head slowly, before opening his eyes at the same pace until they can meet yours. The change in him is instant; his shoulders drop, he lets out a deep breath and his balled fists uncurl until he can press his palms against his jeans.
“How’s that?” you ask.
“Distracting,” he offers up immediately.
The laugh you let out is stifled by the realization that it’s also distracting for you, and suddenly it’s silent between you, the carnival music but a cheery soundtrack at the very back of the moment you’re having together.
“Do you need more distraction?” The question leaves you before you even realized you were going to speak, and it might have made you overthink your entire evening had Adrian not all but jumped on the opportunity you were offering up with an eager,
“Yes.”
He’s already leaning in, and it makes you smile into the kiss that follows when you do the same. It’s soft, and chaste, and for reasons you’re not currently capable of examining, it makes your stomach flip when he doesn’t deepen the kiss. Instead, his hands fly up to your face to hold you, to brush his nose against yours and give you another quick peck.
Somewhere along the way, when you were clearly too involved in your shared moment to notice it, the Ferris wheel had started moving again, and when the usher opens your cart at the very bottom of the wheel to let the both of you out, you lead with your hand holding Adrian’s.
------
It’s approaching midnight when Adrian finishes explaining how his recent fear of heights came to be (falling out of a tree with a butterfly strapped to his back) and you’re making your way to the parking lot. The day had been long, full, and tiresome, and as a result you’re exhausted, but you don’t want it to end. You’re almost embarrassed to admit that the whole evening, including this very moment, feels a bit dream-like, because it’s unlike anything you ever experienced before.
“Did you have a good night?” Adrian asks, steering you both to his car.
You steal a glance at your intertwined fingers, reminding yourself this moment is very real, before looking up at Adrian. You find him looking expectant, lips pursed in anticipation of your verdict.
With a nod and a smile, you tell him, “You have no idea.”

Cirque du Hollow Event !!
OOC Information
Our Halloween event is a little different this year, but have no fear, all of your regularly scheduled Halloween activities will still be taking place around the town. You can find our previous Halloween Events linked [here] and [here] for a full breakdown of all the things that regularly happen in Redwood Hollow in October, including the markets, pumpkin patch, costume contests and ghost tours. Use your imagination; anything goes! You may post in both the OOC Discord and Sideblog if you have any specific Autumn or Halloween related events or threads that you would like to organise yourself. I’m more than happy for people to arrange parties for their characters!
However, the main event this year is a visit from the travelling circus!
What will this entail?
On the second last week of October (in character) the circus will roll into town and begin setting up the big top on the sports field on the college campus.
The carnival will open on the last week in October (24th - 31st), with doors opening every night from 5pm.
There will be food and drink stalls, carnival games, and plenty of rides to choose from, including a small roller coaster and a ferris wheel.
There is also a ghost train and walk-through attractions such as a haunted house, house of mirrors and a whacky house! (Lots of houses, huh?)
If you’re brave enough, you can pop in to see the talent before their big show, including the psychic and the medium, the fire throwers, the sword eaters and the magicians. You can even have your pictures taken with the giant clown shoes or try your hand at stilts.
Every night there is a show in the big top, with clowns, acrobats, magicians and everything else you could imagine from a good old-fashioned circus! (Minus the, uh... animal rights violations, of course.)
On Halloween night, the final night of their stay, a special Halloween performance will take place in the big top. Entry is half price if you come dressed up!
You certainly won’t run out of things to do!
Now, I know what you’re thinking; Gemma, you can’t have an event without having a twist! And you would be right.
Following our two-year anniversary, and an apparent theme of causing chaos on Halloween, I would like to drive the plot forward some more. Four currently in-play town’s folk have had their curses “broken”, so to speak, in the past few months, and it’s time to step it up a notch. Just a little notch, though.
To make this happen, I need some volunteers, similar to what was mentioned in the past Camp Hollow event. Mr. Borovsky will be looking for his next victims. If you would like your character to be potentially chosen at random to be involved in the next step of the plot, please reply to this thread with their name.
Please note that there will be a planned plot drop during the event that may affect multiple characters that is completely optional for you to take part in. It will have mentions of a mass “spiking” with the potion at the carnival, so if this is triggering for anyone everything will be tagged with #poisoning tw. Characters may react to this, or may be affected by it, but this is entirely your choice and we completely understand if you do not wish to take part in that particular part of the event. I will make a more detailed out of character post on this nearer the time too. Only a select few volunteered characters will have their curses broken and will be told if they are chosen, all others will not.
Important Stuff
This event is optional. However, do keep in mind that the majority of the town is already kitted out in all its Halloween Glory.
Event starters may be posted during the time of the event, but not before or after. Threads can continue after the end date.
If taking part, please make sure to reply to open starters and make some too.
Please tag all event starters with #happiestevent8 and the starter tag, and mark event conversations the same way so it is easier for players to see who is taking part.
You may also tag if your character is at an autumn/Halloween related event, or if they are at the circus/ carnival for more clarity.
If anyone has any suggestions for the event let me know too!
This event will take place from Friday 14th to Monday 31st October OOC, but will last one week in character (24th to 31st). Autumn/ Halloween activities will be open for the entire month of October.
For your character to be involved in Mr. Borovsky’s plot, the character must have been in play for a minimum of three months. If your character is chosen from the selection, you will be given information about what will be involved. It is then up to you if you wish to go forward with the plot.

Over-Emotional: Danny Phantom Oneshot.
Original idea by @amabsis on their post right here!!
[Originally written on a reblog of the prompt but it went all screwy and left an incomplete version so I made it it's own post and I've made a few grammar and spelling edits. Sorry for any confusion!!]
(This is the first thing I've ever written for the DP Phandom so I apologize if it's a little OOC)
⚠️(TW: DESCRIPTIONS OF A PANIC ATTACK AND GORE!!!!!)⚠️
Danny drifted through the skies of Amity Park, following the streets which were slick with recent rain. The stars twinkled merrily above and the beams from the street lights seemed to buzz through the comforting, crisp air. Not a sound disrupted the mellow atmosphere and ghosts had appeared to leave tonight alone and retired to their lairs. A soothing night such as this would have been Danny's favorite; it would have been a much needed break from his overly stressful life.
Yet Danny couldn't shake off the creeping apprehension even as he twisted in and out of alleyways back into the lit roads.
His parents had been working tirelessly on a project that they wouldn't tell him and Jazz about. Jack, their father, would always jump at the chance to describe what he was doing and couldn't keep his antics quiet for long. Maddie's, their mother, eyes would have brightened as she recounted the innovate idea she had conjured and the necessary calculations she could toy around with. These facts coupled with Jazz and Danny casually inquiring about their latest project would make them incredibly ecstatic.
But whenever the two had asked about it, put off by the unusual quiet of the parents, had only been given an amused smile and an occasional wink.
Tonight, before Danny's patrol and during dinner, Jazz had managed to weasel some information out of them. Though, it left more questions than answers.
"So, you guys have been in the lab a lot recently," Jazz said conversationally. "Working on some new ghost stuff? It seems important if you're spending most of the day down there."
Maddie had given her a deliberate look like someone who'd finally decided to take a second cookie.
"It's our greatest invention yet," she said lowly and excitedly. "I think your dad and I have found the solution to our little ghost problem."
The siblings gulped and tried to suppress their shudders.
"It's not going to hurt them is it? Phantom and the other ghosts." Jazz's voice was even and didn't show a hint of a tone shift.
"Surprisingly, no. No harm will be dealt to them. It's not like they can feel anyway. That's exactly the problem," Jack chimed excitedly before going back to his ectoplasm contaminated lasagna.
"Besides, we wouldn't want to hurt the object of our daughter's affection. We all know about your crush on Phantom," Maddie teased but then added with a small frown. "Though it's not healthy to have a crush on ghosts at all."
Jazz gave an aggressive gagging noise and Danny was torn between hysterical laughter and a gag of his own. Dinner resumed as normal —well, as normal as you could get being a Fenton— and Danny took note of the fact his parents had refused to say anymore.
Danny was busy going over and dissecting the conversation and lax in his attention to his surroundings by the inactivity that he didn't notice the two shadow-cloaked figures tailing him. The taller one with a broader build was holding an intimidating gun, that looked like it was straight out of an eighties sci-fi movie, on his back.
Maybe I should head back, Danny thought to himself. I have so much homework due and a test tomorrow. A pop quiz in calculus and a lab in science. I have to meet Nathan at my study hall period and at lunch. Liz needs my help…
On and on the list went as Danny subtlety started flying home. Just thinking of things that needed done was making him more anxious and tired.
"Phantom, we'll have you now," Jack cried, his voice echoing in the hollow streets.
Danny turned around, slightly aggravated when he was struck by a violet beam and plummeted, crashing to the sidewalk.
"Jack! I told you to wait," Maddie chastised as they walked over to Danny who had barely sat up.
His head swam and Maddie and Jack looked like the reflections of a carnival fun house mirror. Though his vision corrected itself quickly.
"I think you might have given him a concussion. But that doesn't make sense, ghosts don't have brains," Maddie said, slightly confused. She reached out to gingerly place her fingertips on Danny's temple and he flinched.
"Don't touch me!!" Danny had yelled louder then he meant to and his voice came out with an extra echo; like he had been about to use his ghostly wail. The three stilled before Danny began crawling backwards, keeping his eyes on Jack and Maddie at all times.
"I don't wanna hurt you," Danny whimpered and tears sprang to eyes like a line of men ready to battle. Why the hell was he crying!? He didn't cry easy, at least not of late, and he'd been in these situations and worse without crying so why was he breaking down now??
Maddie looked at him with wide eyes and her hand, which had still been suspended in shock, dropped to her belt and Danny panicked.
"Don't hurt me!" Danny tried to pick himself up to fly, to get the hell out of dodge but when he went to stand his vision and black an —god why were his veins burning with adrenaline???
Danny's chest was caving, that was the only explanation as his ribs seized and threatened to crush his lungs. His heart had left its place and sprinted from the back of his throat down to right beneath his collarbone before starting all over again. Has his hands always been this sweaty??? Tremors wracked through his limbs —he couldn't deal with this now!! He needed to finish his Hamlet essay, and review his history notes, and hadn't Liz asked him to buy popsicle sticks for their art project??? That's what he had forgotten!! He can't think of this now!! Maddie and Jack could easily catch him now —but oh, God was he screwed when —if— when he went to school the next day.
"Phantom, you're having a panic attack," Maddie said calmly.
"No, shit there, Sherlock." Danny bit his bottom lip to prevent another scathing comment from escaping. Usually he had better control of his mouth believe it or not. He put his head between his knees, closing his eyes and trying to focus on, well, nothing. He felt tears slip from his eyes and barely stopped himself from screaming.
"You know what a panic attack is?" Jack titled his head as he scanned over his shaking form.
"Jack did you put the settings up too high while we were following him?"
"Of course not! I was very careful not to bounce anything out of place. You've Done the math, four times, it should be perfectly calibrated." Jack twisted the purple and silver metallic gun in his hands, giving it a thorough look over.
"What the fuck are you two talking about!!" The scientists' head whipped back to see Danny's eyes glowing a tad brighter than before and his mouth transfixed into a snarl. Maddie slid a careful hand to her holster.
"Our newest invention. Ghosts, well most of them, are just whispers of feelings that people once had. They can't actually feel and so they do bad things or... or they mimic human behaviors really well to make it seem like they do, like they're human." Maddie's voice trailed off at the end as if seeing if he would explode.
Danny felt that normally he would have but he started to hyperventilate. How was he going to reverse it??? Was there even a way to do so or did they not include a reverse button by mistake (on purpose?) like they had mistakenly put the 'on' button inside the portal??
"We're going to take you to the lab. Check your... concussion and to stabilize your mood. Run a few tests..."
Ohgodohgodohgodohgodohgodoh—
They would strap him down and cut and lay his chest open like a butterfly steak and their hungry eyes would roam over him and their hands would devour him by pulling at his nerve endings and removing his organs and Danny would scream until his voice was hoarse and then some like a helpless lamb. Would he bleed blood or ectoplasm when they drained him? Would they take turns as he bleed out?? Or would they flow out together like some sort of demented, holiday dinner?? Or—
"Phantom! You need to calm down." Maddie was at his side (when had she gotten there?) and was squeezing his hand. Danny briefly noted her eyes were filled with worry as her goggles hung at her neck. "Just breathe with me okay, please."
"Breathe with her, buddy" Jack, who sat on the other side of Danny, whispered as he gently rubbed circles on the boy's lower back. "It's gonna be okay. We aren't going to hurt you."
Danny wanted to say a smart aleck remark about them not having the same sentiment five minutes ago but instead focused on his breathing. He faced his head skyward and tried to count the stars. Nothing but him and the stars, no home— just the stars.
Danny was reminded of the time he went stargazing with the rest of his family. A rare occasion as Maddie and Jack seemed to always be working. They had smiled so big at him as he pointed out constellations, awestruck. Jazz had nodded along as she listened attentively with a smile of her own. The night hadn't been more clear in months and more stars then usually were out. The picnic blanket they laid on was soft and him and Jazz had rested in between their parents and God they had been so happy then—
Danny let out an involuntary sob. The melancholy seemed to come from the depths of his chest but at least it seemed to push out the panic.
"Phantom," Maddie asked as she huddled closer to him. Phantom, not Danny. It hadn't really bothered him before; they didn't know it was him so why would they call him by his name?
But it still made him cry harder. He wanted to tell them. He wanted to so, so bad.
Jazz had urged him to tell them. But Danny had always been afraid. Scared that they wouldn't want him anymore.
Now the sadness had overwhelmed the fear and the panic. He felt so isolated even when his parents were next to him, right there, trying to coax him into being calm. He had to tell them. He had to do it now because he wouldn't be this impulsive again.
He felt the white rings gloss over him and heard Jack yell out "Phantom". When it was over he heard them gasp.
"D-Danny," Maddie choked out.
"I'm so sorry," Danny said through his tears. He chanted it over and over again as his parents reassured him that he had nothing to be sorry for and that they should apologize.
The three sat there for quite some time, huddled close and crying together.
Soon they would head home and take care of Danny's quickly healing concussion and reverse the effects of the gun. They would ask questions tomorrow after school but, for now, they tucked him into bed, something they hadn't done since he was eleven, and gave him their good night kisses on his temple before creeping to their room unaware of Jazz watching them from her bedroom door. She would text Sam and Tucker an explanation and ask them to give Danny the answers to the homework in the morning. She slipped into bed and fell asleep.
The streets were barely slick with rain anymore. The stars twinkled merrily and the street lights buzzed. The crisp, cool air was calm and mellow. The night soothing and the Fentons were a family once again.

Maria's arc has been all Michael so far for 2 seasons, intermittent with some of Carina's bullshit feminism, which manifested in various characters praising her for no reason and some half-assed backstory about how she revenge-bought a bar. All the story seeds that were planted for her in s1 went nowhere in s2. She wasn't even allowed to find her own mom/realize she was in the know about aliens with Jim Valenti and Jesse Manes/actually have a conversation with her about it, which was her biggest overarching plotline from s1-s2. Lots of discourse about how other characters purposefully kept stuff from her, but in reality Liz/Kyle/Alex came home and immediately got caught up in investigating their family drama on their own, which had them cross paths eventually, while Maria spent her whole life living with Mimi in Roswell, her bar was involved in a serial killer hunt and has a mysterious intuition, yet the show never once treats her as smart enough to pick up on literally anything. Carina couldn't be bothered to write her anything in s1 and then somehow blamed that on every other character and used it to let her do whatever in s2. The one good thing she does at the end of s2 at the carnival is effectively anticlimactic and goes unacknowledged. And you're right. She was written so badly that I don't know how to root for her at this point. You can overlook some OOC stuff from characters in service of plot if it's balanced out the rest of time, but everything Maria got to do in s2 was just so icky. There was nothing with Liz or Rosa or Mimi to make up for it.
I also think something not noted is as soon as they wanted Maria as Michael’s love interest she immediately was sexualised so heavily. The way she dressed completely changed. They way she acted completely changed. She was trying to get a damn date at a funeral.
And the thing is the consent issues aren’t just applicable to Maria it’s also applicable to Isobel and Liz in s2.Isobel enters Rosa’s mind despite her explicitly not wanting which is assault.Liz experiments on Steph without consent. And I’m not going to talk about Maria again.Nope.
That is white feminism at it’s lowest and ugliest form.

Three’s a Crowd
I hope this fic isn’t absolute trash after the short break from writing I took. In the span of three days I completely forgot how to write and it shows.
But anyway, hello everyone! Anon requested Jane getting jealous because of Aragon being maternal towards Kat, and I loved that prompt. I’m not sure I did it justice, but we’re certainly trying. I really hope this fic is in any sense coherent. Sorry for any spelling/grammatical errors, I forgot how to write and my english is not good now.
And also - I DO NOT CONDONE ANY OF THIS BEHAVIOR! A lot of what happens in this fic includes toxic mindsets and sometimes toxic behavior, and I do not support that in any way. I wanted to do my best to represent how toxic mindsets can affect a person, and how hard it can be to get out of them. That’s why Jane might seem a little OOC, but I did my best to balance everything out.
Writing Masterpost
If you want to send a request or a prompt, my inbox is always open! I publish a story at 8:00 AM PST everyday, so I’m always in need of new ideas. If you want to be tagged in my works, just let me know and I’ll be sure to tag you!

Trigger Warnings: Toxic behavior, toxic mindsets
Jane Seymour didn’t like being busy. Of course she liked to have things to do so she wasn’t wasting time, but being overburdened with work stressed her out far more than she liked. For the past week Jane had been overwhelmed with learning new choreography for the show, and the costume changes, as well as some of her lines being workshopped. It took all of her attention, and Jane started to notice how much less time she was spending with the queens.
There was one particular change in dynamics that Jane was starting to notice. Ever since the queens had grown comfortable with each other, Kat and Jane were almost always by each other’s side. It made sense, with Jane longing for someone to act maternal towards, and Kat lacking any strong maternal figure in her life. The two of them clicked, forming a bond that they both so desperately needed.
But now, Kat was hardly ever around Jane. She wasn’t avoiding Jane, that much was clear, but the teen always seemed busy with someone else. Namely, Catherine of Aragon. It irked Jane to see the two of them so happy together. Internally, she kept telling herself she held no ill will towards Catherine, but she couldn’t help the small seed of rage that festered in her heart every time she saw the two queens together.
Just yesterday, Jane had asked Kat if she wanted to read together. “Sorry Jane, I’m going to the movies with Aragon. She got us these great seats and it’s one of those new, high tech theatres. She’s so cool,” Kat had gushed on.
Jane had to keep repeating that Aragon wasn’t being mean and was perfectly capable and welcome to spend time with Kat. However, in the back of Jane’s mind, she kept thinking Catherine unfit to spend time with Kat. “It’s a toxic mindset,” Jane kept telling herself, trying to push it away.
She started out small, doing little things to regain Kat’s attention. Late at night, Jane had gone to the store to buy a giant box of guylian’s chocolates, Kat’s favorite. The next morning, she left them on the kitchen counter with the note, For Kat, the ten amongst these threes. From Jane.
When Kat walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, Jane held her breath in anticipation. Kat’s eyes drifted over to the chocolates as she frowned in confusion. She made her way over to the box and read the note. Eyes lighting up, Kat turned to Jane with an open mouth. “For me?” she gasped.
Nodding her head, Jane tried to conceal the smile growing on her lips. “Just for you Kat.”
“Oh thank you so much!” Kat hugged Jane tightly to her chest. “Can I have some now?”
Pretending to look around like she was keeping a secret, Jane put a finger to her lips. “Only if you don’t tell the others.”
Kat laughed and waved Jane off. “As if. These are all mine. Thank you Jane, I love you!”
For the first time in a week, Jane’s heart unclenched and she relaxed. Kat still loved her, that was good. That was very good.
The next day, Jane woke up bright and early so that she could be ready to greet Kat when she came down for breakfast. Behold her surprise when Kat was already up and about, fully dressed and wide awake. “Kat, why are you up so early?” Jane asked, still fighting back slight drowsiness. “It’s only 6:30.”
Pulling on a jacket, Kat shrugged. “Aragon’s taking me to this moving carnival that’s set up downtown. She heard about it through Maria and she wanted to take me.”
Like she heard her name, Aragon appeared from the kitchen. She had paper bags filled with food that she was packing into a travel bag. “That’s right, Kat,” she rubbed the girl’s shoulder. “Maria and the other ladies went yesterday and they loved it, so I thought I’d take Kat out for the day.”
“Oh,” Jane’s heart broke a little bit. “That’s nice.”
Aragon flashed her a grin and led Kat to the door. “We’ll be back for dinner Jane, don’t worry.”
Kat waved as they left the room. “Yeah, we’ll tell you all about it!”
The door shut on Jane, her hand half raised in a pitiful goodbye wave. “Bye,” she whispered, her shoulders slouching. She should’ve known it wouldn’t last. Kat wasn’t bound to her, she had her own relationships. That didn’t mean it hurt any less to see her bounding off with Aragon. Was she being replaced? Jane questioned. Had Kat found someone better when Jane wasn’t around and realized she didn’t want her?
Sensibility told Jane it was only insecurity, but she still couldn’t shake it off. If Kat only wanted to spend time with Aragon, how would Jane cope? Would she lose the bond she so desperately tried to build with Kat in the first place?
Setting her face, Jane vowed that she wouldn’t let Aragon destroy her and Kat’s bond. They had something none of the other queens had, and Jane wasn’t about to let that go. The battle was on.
“Hey, Kat,” Jane approached the girl a couple days later.
The teen was on her phone, scrolling through pictures she and Aragon had taken at the carnival. “Hmm?” Kat glanced up, her face brightening when she saw Jane. “Hi Jane.” Before Jane could start talking, Kat cut her off and shoved the phone in her face. “Look at this video I took from the carnival. This guy eats fire and then breaths it out. Isn’t it cool,” she explained.
Watching the video silently, Jane wasn’t paying attention to the guy eating fire. She was listening to the faint dialogue between Kat and Aragon from behind the camera. “How does he do that?” she heard Kat ask.
“A magician never reveals his secrets,” Aragon replied lightly, “and it’s more fun to watch and be amazed.”
Judging by Kat’s gasp, she had agreed. “It would be so cool to be able to do that.”
The camera shook slightly as Aragon came into frame, her eyes twinkling. “Don’t go hurting yourself trying to swallow fire, Kitty, this guy’s a professional.”
Kat’s pout was practically visible through her voice. “Do you really think I would hurt myself trying to eat fire?”
Shrugging goodnaturedly, Aragon leaned back out of frame. “I think you listen to your cousin too much sometimes. I’m not saying that I don’t trust you, but I am saying it’s not unlike you and Anne to try and eat fire because it looks cool.”
The video ended along with Jane’s good mood. How could Kat be so enraptured by Aragon? She and Jane had those conversations millions of times, why would she be having it with Aragon now? “Forget about that,” Jane tried to cover her annoyance with giddiness, “Because I’ve got something better planned.”
Raising her eyebrow in interest, Kat leaned forward. “What could be better than someone eating fire?”
“I dunno…” Jane teased Kat, “maybe the private animal shelter will suffice?”
Practically jumping to her feet, Kat dropped her phone, completely forgetting about the video. “No way! But you have to make appointments with them, Anna and I have been trying for months, how -”
Jane cut her off. “I pulled a couple strings, don’t worry about it. I know how much you wanted to see them, so it’s all worth it.”
“When do we get to go?” Kat prodded, bouncing on her feet.
Jane’s heart sped up when she saw the pure happiness in Kat’s eyes. “As soon as you’re ready.”
The animal shelter itself was huge, although there weren’t many people throughout. It was a private shelter and the owners required a considerable ‘donation’ for patrons to be allowed to come play with the animals even if they weren’t interested in buying. It was a lot of money Jane was required to pay, but she would do it a thousand times over in order to keep Kat happy.
Kat was fawning over the dogs as Jane stood behind her. There was a small, fluffy white dog that kept jumping into Kat’s lap and attacking her with its tongue. A bunch of other dogs swarmed her feet, causing Kat to giggle. Restraining herself from sneezing, Jane couldn’t help the swell of accomplishment in her chest. Kat loved it, and that’s what mattered.
The fur that was gathering around Jane irritated her skin, turning it red, but she ignored her discomfort. Jane didn’t care about her allergy to dogs and to fur, and she would continue to hide it from Kat. The teen was so happy with Jane, she wouldn’t ruin it. “Jane,” Kat called her attention. “Isn’t she so cute,” Kat held up the white dog to Jane, prompting her to pet it. Carefully stroking the dog’s fur, Jane prayed that a sneezing fit wouldn’t overcome her.
“She’s lovely, dear,” Jane agreed, stepping away from the dog as soon as Kat was satisfied.
Setting the dog down, Kat pulled Jane into a hug. Melting into the teen’s embrace, Jane couldn’t help a sigh of relief. This was all she wanted. “Thank you Jane,” Kat murmured. “I love you.”
That’s all Jane needed to hear, once again. The only thing she wanted out of any of this. So Jane contented herself to watch as Kat sat back on the ground and returned her attention to the dogs.
By now, Jane was sure she had won. How could Aragon compete when Jane had taken Kat to an exclusive animal shelter to play with the dogs she loved so much? At this rate, all of Jane’s worries would be for naught and Kat would always love her. All of this would fade into a little bubble in the past and things would be back how they should be.
That was until Jane heard talking coming from Kat’s room. Immediately standing up, Jane went to investigate. Chances were it was only Anne talking with her cousin, but Jane still had to know if there was something she was missing. Opening Kat’s door, Jane carefully peeked in to see what was going on.
In the center of the room stood Aragon, a small crate of stuffed animals in her hands. Kat was standing in front of her, sorting through the stuffed animals with wide eyes. “There’s so many,” Kat glanced up at Aragon, “how much did this cost?”
“Money’s not important. You were telling me about how much you loved the dogs at the shelter Jane took you to, so I knew you’d like these too. Think of it as a way to have them with you all the time.” Aragon spoke softly, her hand carefully brushing some hair away from Kat’s face.
A pit grew in Jane’s stomach. That was something she did with Kat. Not something Aragon did, something Jane did. It was her special thing, why -
Jane had to cut herself off. She kept berating herself internally for getting so caught up with this. All the queens were close, it wasn’t against any rules for Aragon to care for Kat. Aragon wasn’t a bad person, Jane knew that. But she kept wanting to believe that she was better than Aragon, and that she should be the one giving Kat gifts. This… this wasn’t the status quo.
Tuning back in, Jane watched as Kat took the crate from Aragon’s arms and beamed as wide as her face would allow. “I love them Catherine, I love you.”
And that was the last straw for Jane.
The next day, Jane had a surprise for Kat. If this didn’t win her over for good, she didn’t know what would. Aragon and Kat had gone out together for lunch, and the other queens were off doing who-knows-what. Jane was prepared, and she would wait in front of the door for as long as it took for Kat to show up.
Silently, Jane stared at the door. She knew she shouldn’t be doing this, she knew it was wrong. But knowing you have a problem and being able to fix it are two different things. The only way she knew to get rid of this deep ache in her chest was to win. To win Kat’s affection, to win her attention, and to win her love. This girl was like her daughter, and she wasn’t going to let Aragon take that from her.
The door opened, bringing with it lively conversation. “Nando’s never fails,” Aragon laughed, herding Kat into the room. “But you shouldn’t order so much if you aren’t going to eat it.”
“Oh come on,” Kat rolled her eyes, “how else are we going to get leftovers for days? I’ve picked up on a life hack or two, you know.” Kat stopped speaking when she noticed Jane watching her. “Hey Jane,” she waved. Aragon and Kat stood in confusion at Jane’s still figure.
“Is everything alright?” Aragon was slightly put off by the other queen’s iciness.
“Yes, just fine,” Jane replied. “I have something for you Kat.”
Warily, Kat approached Jane and sat down next to her. There was something clearly wrong with Jane, and Kat was quite aware of it. “What is it?” she asked.
Reaching under her legs, Jane pulled out a small cage. She opened it, and out popped the small white dog Kat had been playing with at the shelter. Kat and Aragon gasped, both surprised at the furry creature’s appearance. “Jane... I…” Kat was unsure what to say.
“I got her for you, I know how much you loved playing with her,” Jane encouraged Kat to take the dog. Nervously, Kat obliged, picking up the animal.
Aragon frowned and made her way over to Jane. “It’s a sweet gesture and all, but Jane, you know we don’t have any way to support a dog right? We’re going to have to return her.”
“Yeah, and as much as I love her, wasn’t she already adopted by another family?” Kat recalled.
Batting off the concern, Jane inched away from the dog, her skin already turning red. “Nothing a little payment couldn’t fix. Besides, you liked her, so it was worth it.”
Still, Aragon was unconvinced. “Jane, just because Kat likes the dog doesn’t mean it’s a good idea to buy it.”
Standing up, Jane snarled, “Just because Kat likes animals doesn’t mean you have to buy her a crate full of them.” She then recoiled, realizing what her voice sounded like. “I - I.”
“Stop it!” Kat set the dog down and stepped away from Jane and Aragon. “Why are you fighting?”
“We’re not fighting,” Aragon assured Kat, taking a step towards her.
Scoffing, Kat moved away from them. “Maybe it doesn’t seem like it, but I’ve noticed. As soon as one of you does something nice, the other has to one up them. I don’t need all these gifts.”
“But you want them,” Jane added hopefully.
Shaking her head, Kat crossed her arms. “I want to spend time with you. Both of you. Together, if that’s even possible. You two have been at odds for the past week and I’m sick of it. I’ve tried to ignore it and enjoy the good things, but I can’t anymore. Why is it so hard to accept that I want to spend time with both of you?”
“Because I was here first?” Jane offered. “You’ve always wanted to spend time with me, Kat.”
Aragon tried to put herself in front of Jane. “Because I’m here when she isn't. Why keep going back to Jane when I’m always here for you.”
Biting her lip, Kat couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “Do you two even listen to yourselves? This is so stupid. I don’t want you fighting over me.” Moving to round the couch and make a clean getaway to the stairs, Kat shot the two of them a disappointed glare. “I can’t spend time with either of you, not like this.”
“Kat!” Jane called her before the girl could disappear. “Aren’t you supposed to say you love me?” It was something she had become so used to hearing Kat say to her at the end of every conversation.
Shaking her head once more, Kat turned away. “I’m not sure I can say that truthfully right now.” Then she was gone, the closing over her bedroom door echoing throughout the house a moment later.
Jane turned to Aragon and they both glared at each other. “You’ve been doing it too, huh,” Jane broached, her voice defensive.
“I’ve only been trying to make sure she knows I care about her,” Aragon argued, crossing her arms.
“No,” Jane accused, “You’ve been using her to satisfy your own need to be a mother.”
“Well you’ve been doing it for longer than I have.”
Clicking her tongue, Jane sat down on the couch next to the dog. “Maybe I have. But I can’t stop. It’s the best feeling in the world, like a - like a -”
“Like a drug,” Aragon filled in. “I know.” She gave up and sat next to Jane. “You know what it’s like when Kat smiles at you better than anyone. And once she started looking at me that way…”
“You couldn’t let it go,” Jane added on. “I know,” she swallowed, “I know you aren’t a bad influence. I’m sorry I’ve been treating you like one. I don’t know how to get used to Kat seeing someone else the same way she sees me. Kat’s like my daughter.”
Aragon nodded, leaving the two queens in silence. “It might be a little weird at first,” Aragon broke the quiet air, “But we could try, maybe, spending time with Kat together? Like she said, it doesn’t have to be one or the other.”
Some defiant part of Jane still wanted to resist. She wanted to be the only one, she wanted things to be the way they were before Aragon entered the picture. But for once, Jane took a step towards fixing her mindset. “Let’s do it. If it’ll make things better, then let’s do it.”
In a moment of awkwardness, the two queens stared at each other, unsure of what to do next. Aragon stuck out her hand, hoping for Jane to seal the deal. Jane took the hand and the two of them shook on their agreement.

Can you do head cannons of BTS reacting to getting their love confession rejected?
———————————————————————
Sorry if these are a bit ooc
———————————————————————
Namjoon
- i think he’d be very mature about it, as he is with most things
- i don’t know if I can see him breaking down in front of you
- but he’d definitely be silent for a while
- probably smiling weakly, saying he understands that you simply don’t feel the same
- you definitely make sure he doesn’t think it’s because you don’t like him at all
- just that maybe you aren’t ready for a relationship right now
- he definitely makes a point not to stick around, making up some excuse that one of the boys said they needed his help with something earlier
- when he gets back to the dorms, I think he’d remain pretty silent when the boys asked what was up, how’d it go, all that
- i can imagine him just walking off to his room and Jin or Yoongi telling them all to leave him alone
- he may shed a few tears when he gets to his room, but I doubt he’d cry for long as he understands that nothing in that interaction was his fault
- he didn’t do anything wrong, you just didn’t feel the same/didn’t have time/weren’t ready yet
- it hurts a bit, but he gets over it
- i think, if you confessed to him at a later date, he’d probably just make sure you really felt that way about him and that you weren’t just saying it because of pity or not wanting him to be upset
Jin
- i feel as though when he told you, it was very sweet and tender
- he probably brought flowers, maybe brought you somewhere
- a local festival or carnival, he probably didn’t bring you anywhere too serious though, as he wouldn’t want you to feel like people were staring
- because in restaurants, when people hear a love confessions it’s like they can’t mind their business or look away
- like seriously what’s up with that
- anyway
- when he told you, i imagine he made sure you knew whatever your response was, was your decision and you didn’t have to feel pressured to say you reciprocated his feelings
- when you reject his feelings, you make sure he knows you’re not rejecting him
- just the romantic feelings
- you tell him you don’t want your friendship to change
- but if it has to for his sake you understand
Yoongi
- after you told him that you didn’t feel the same, I don’t think you’d be able to quite read his expression
- he’d probably be thinking about what to respond to the rejection with
- so that he doesn’t mess up further, as he probably thinks he has
- so that he doesn’t hurt you or make you think it’s your fault for not liking him in that way
- and so that he doesn’t say something completely and utterly irrational
- the conversation would end quickly, he probably wouldn’t say much as he decided to go the safe route and say nothing
- which, in turn, makes you nervous that you’ve hurt him
- you say sorry, but he nods his head a couple times before leaving
- you stay there for a bit before texting him
- “are we still friends?”
- he probably doesn’t respond for a while
- “I don’t know.”
Taehyung
- I can imagine him bringing you somewhere nice
- one of the new restaurants or other
- he’d look so hopeful that you just stared at him for a while
- you stuttered out a request to talk about it after the food was done, and he accepted, knowing you’d have to think
- he didn’t know why you’d have to think, though he wouldn’t say that
- hadn’t the boys told him they thought you liked him too?
- oh god, maybe they were wrong
- what if he’d just made this whole dinner weird by starting it with confessing his feelings to you
- do you hate him?
- no, no, it’s not like you stood up and left
- you were still there, across from him
- he left it at what he started with, that you were thinking
- after dinner and you saying you didn’t want to get dessert, also Tae driving you home, the two of you stood on your doorstep
- maybe you would kiss him goodnight?
- tell him you loved him back?
- i don’t know if you could handle him looking at you like that
- and he couldn’t really understand why you wouldn’t look at him at all
- when you told him, near a whisper, his eyes widened
- you apologized for not telling him when he confessed to you, but you explained that you didn’t want to ruin dinner
- he nodded, tearing up before waving his hand at you in a goodbye, walking back to the car, leaving you there on the doorstep
- you sighed, heading into your home
- he couldn’t believe he thought you felt the same
Jimin
- in this case, I think he most likely brought you to a park
- the type with really nice scenery later in the day
- with a lake somewhere in the middle of the huge public space
- you two had gone and gotten some ice cream
- since by the time you were able to meet up you’d both already eaten
- so you opted for dessert instead
- now, you were leaning against the railing of the bridge that arcs over a slimmer part of the lake
- the two of you had been chatting casually for a bit
- it was something you two reallly enjoyed together
- it’s so calming too
- Jimin almost felt as if
Hoseok
- I feel like even though he’s a real sweetheart normally, if you rejected him he’d be a little less bubbly around you for a while
- he probably took you out for ice cream to not make the outing too obvious, and we wanted to be doing something he knew for sure you’d enjoy
- when he confesses to you, it’s really sweet, but not as serious and weighted as Jin’s confession
- what I mean by that, though, isn’t that he isn’t serious about his feelings for you, it’s just that I don’t think he’d explain his feelings for you that way
- probably relatively cool about it when you say you don’t feel the same way
- he’s definitely not mad, just processing it
- somewhere in the back of his mind he probably jokingly thinks about how it’s good he didn’t spend too much on this outing
- he pushes that away though, as it’s not the point of this
- I think he’d be pretty curt with you. Not snippy, just less bubbly like I said before
- you guys would still be really good friends, of course
- honestly can’t see him ending a friendship over getting rejected, especially if you two were really close and you weren’t a jerk about rejecting him
- over all, he’s kind about it as he is with most things. Give him a week or so, maybe more depending on how long he’s been in love with you, and things will be relatively back to normal
- your relationship as friends will probably get more open, too, and you guys spend a lot of nights talking through midnight from then on
Jungkook
- Okay, so I know that the rest of them were pretty okay with it, except Yoongi
- but I think JK probably made him taking you out and confessing you this whole thing in his head
- he was taking you somewhere pretty nice, got flowers, all that
- when he confesses to you, it’s after all your food and desert, when you’re just about to leave
- he planned on telling you earlier, but didn’t want to make it seem weird or awkward especially if he accidentally said it while you were chewing on something
- when he tells you, he notices how you get quiet and avert your eyes
- most likely doesn’t want to wait for your response, his reasoning in his mind that he’s waited all night for this
- I think JK can definitely be mature, and I’m not saying he isn’t, but with his feelings for you he can’t wait long for a response
- hes probably had these feelings for a long time, too
- I think that after you told him you didn’t feel the same, he might up and leave
- on the other hand, if you two had arranged for him to drive you home, then he’d stay silent the whole drive to your home and just ignore you or “hm.” When you say goodbye
- probably doesn’t talk to you much for a while, if at all. If he does decide to talk to you, it might take a while for you to build up your friendship with him again
- really heartbroken for a while. Poor boy really thought this was going to work out

Dear anon, I do hate doing this publicly, but please do specify "Hullabaloo" or Acrobat [or both] in your ask!
It's even written in the pinned post rules, but I do want to give you a chance.
[If this happens a third time, however, I will start deleting unspecified "base" costume asks.]

5 Writer Asks
Thank you for tagging me @the-pale-goddess my love 💖💖💖
1 Story to be proud of & why:
Do We Have A Future?: My first fic in the fandom and utterly personal. It details very taboo topics of mental health and abortion in this complicated relationship. Writing this was my first outlet after the incident to safely make sense of everything once I could finally think about it without breaking down. I never intended for it to be a series. Once I started, the story/projecting came out like word vomit demanding to be seen.
I remember the day I wrote this. Hubs and I had a small conversation about what life would be like in lockdown if we did have a toddler and for the first time in almost 2 years I finally got a glimpse at how he felt during the whole ordeal. And then I just kinda wrote this first part in Ethan’s head, heavily influenced by hubs’ uncertainty. And then the growth over the other chapters for both characters... Wow. I still cannot get the image of Ethan’s broken blue eyes staring at Becca out of my head. The confusion, the betrayal, the fear. This fic touches lightly on mental health issues and I wish I was a strong enough writer to do the topic justice in the way it deserves :/
Out of all my fics this is the one I reread the least (unless I want to be in pain) but if someone only reads one work of mine, I hope it’s this one.
2 Stories that are most popular by readers:
Hurricane and The Conference are tied - angst AUs!
For All The Lies - angst central with a bittersweet ending.
3 Stories with the best characters & why:
Hurricane: Naveen, Elijah and Sienna trapped in a cabin with Ethan and MC, what more could we want?? This is really the only fic of mine where I write other characters besides MC and LI.
Was It A Decision to Stay: THE ANGST. The tension. The drama. These two idiots not communicating effectively and ultimately ruining their relationship.
For All The Lies - I read this fic at least once a week. It’s gotta be the best thing I’ve ever written. Missed chances, envy, regret, unwilling reconciliation. These two don’t say much and let their body’s do the talking. The last three lines kick me in the gut every feckin time.
4 Stories I was excited to write about:
The Conference - Writing Becca in first person is so much fun. She is chaotic and contradicting and such an unreliable narrator it’s thrilling. I can take this anywhere because OOC for her would be acting sane and rational. Part 3/4 I actually wrote first and is just a lot of projecting I was excited to get it off my chest and out of my subconscious.
Make Believe - I had the idea for this the moment I read the spoilers and knew I wanted to write the fantasy. I’m not sure if it comes across, but the ‘Ethan’ fantasies are told by a more reserved narration while the ‘Becca’ fantasies are more unhinged and out-there just like her.
Leakage Series: This series was all due to the readers, if y’all didn’t encourage me it would never have seen the light of day. It was emotionally draining to write this and get in that headspace. Basically doing a writers sprint over a week was a lot to be proud of!
Trials & Tribulations: I started this love child to be a long form affair of Ethan and Becca’s backstory. I’m still really excited to show y’all all about who Becca is, where she comes from and how she relates to her family. Also getting to write her having romantic relations with Bryce, Raf, Ethan and another character!? Broken Becca is once of my fave Becca’s to write along with torturing poor Ethan.
5 of my personal favorite stories:
For All The Lies
Day of Disasters
Make Believe
Carnival
Hopeless

Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss short story
(Disclaimer: I do not own Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss, and the artwork used in this fic. All of these belong to their respective owners.)
All of the male overlords plus Stolas were currently in Reneé's house and apparently they were hungry.
"Well I'm starved! Who wants to eat?" Alastor asked to no one in particular, with a wide smile of course.
"As long as you're not the one cooking." Vox grumbled out to his rival.
"I could always cook something if you don't trust Alastor's cooking that much." Reneé said to Vox, but apparently that caught the attention of every demon in the house.
"Oh that sounds lovely darling~" Stolas being himself said it in a seductive tone.
"Hmm, just imagine this sweet little human wearing an apron and cooking us food. My my what a sight~" Valentino suggested while holding your shoulders.
"My what a sight indeed! But I think I might just eat you instead." Stolas then held your chin and purred(chirped?) into your ear.
Vox had enough and snatched you away from Stolas. "Enough of that birdbrain! Reneé offered it to ME, if anything I should be the one to see her cooking for ME and eat that dish."
The two flirty demons were about to argue but Lucifer beat them to it.
"While it is true that she suggested it to YOU, it does not mean that you are the only one to be able to eat what she prepared and see her in that state." He said calmly with his wide smile.
The two overlords and Goetial demon were quiet.
"Well then why don't you cook for all of us then dear?" Alastor suggested to you.
"That.. actually sounds like a good idea." Reneé replied with a small smile.
"Well then it's settled! You don't mind making some apple pie for me don't you?"
"While I wanted to make some Jambalaya, I do want to see what you would prepare for us."
"Anything you make will be alright, as long as Alastor doesn't do anything to it."
"I think we would like you instead~"
"We don't mind sharing~"
Cue the king of hell standing behind them with his wide smile looking sinister. Sensing the aura behind them, the two shut up instantly with sweat running down their faces.
"Okay, well then while I'm busy why don't you guys go sit and relax first?" Reneé insisted, ushering them out of the kitchen.
"And please don't wreck the living room just because I can't watch you guys." Reneé said with a pleading look.
"Oh I like it when you beg like that darling~"
"Keep that up and I might just gobble you right away~"
Vox was the one to stop them, "Ugh shut it you two, honestly why did I even try to tolerate you Val."
"Now now! We should accept the lady's wishes and give Reneé some space as she works. Come along now!" Alastor, being the gentleman as always, finally lead them away.
"Yes and the longer that we stay to chat, the longer it will take for our little human to prepare our meals." Lucifer says then looks at you.
"I am quite exhilarated to see what you will prepare for us, considering that I don't cook myself. Well then I shall take my leave, oh and do keep that last bit to yourself. It wouldn't be good that the others find out about my inability to create 'carnival food' now would it?" He then bows with his smile and all, making Reneé laugh a little at the gesture, winks at you and then leaves. Now Reneé was left to her own devices, and off she went to prepare a dish for every single one of them.
~ With the Overlords and Goetial demon ~
"So Vox, what was that about YOU being the one to see her in an apron and eat her cooking hmm?" Asked Stolas who, might I add, looked VERY smug.
"Ah yes I remember dear Voxie here saying something like that." Valentino pretends to ponder about it whilst holding his chin.
"If I didn't know better I'd say he has become quite fond of the human." Alastor also joined the teasing, as a way of riling up his rival of course.
"Tch well I could say the same to you guys! You all seem to have perked up when she suggested to cook for ME. I would say that you were all jealous~" Vox, even though angered from all the teasing, decided to retaliate.
"Jealous of what? You? If anything I would say that she pitied you in seeing how desperate you were to not eat my cooking." There goes Alastor riling up Vox again. At the same moment was when Lucifer finally showed up in the living room.
"Oh did I miss anything?" He said as he saw the two about to go for each others necks. "If I remember correctly Reneé said to not make a mess of her place right?"
"....yes" Was the only response(grumbles) the king got from the other demons.
"Well we best behave ourselves then if we don't want any trouble to happen at all!" Lucifer said happily but his intentions were clear. Put one toe out of line and you're in big trouble.
~ Timeskip ~
Reneé was finally done in preparing the dishes and she was about to call the demons when something hit her.
'It's quiet for once. I don't know if that's good or bad.' Furrowing her eyebrows and frowning from the thought, she decided to get it over with and call them to the dining room.
"Hey guys! I'm done with the- whoa what happened?" Reneé asked with wide eyes. Well this sight was new, every single one of them were behaving themselves and sitting quietly on your couch/floor.
"Ah already done dear?" Lucifer asks you.
"Oh umm yes, but what exactly happened here?" Reneè replied awkwardly, "I-if you don't mind me asking of course!" She hurriedly added afraid that she might offend them or something.
"Not at all! You see I just wanted to make sure that we do not make a mess of your home, isn't that right everyone?" Replied Lucifer happily, too happy actually.
"Yup" Vox.
"Yes we don't want to make you upset dear." Alastor.
"After all we won't be able to sleep together without a bedroom right?" Valentino
"I can't have my fun with you if we don't have any place to stay in darling~" Stolas
Well their replies definetely made her flustered but she was glad that they were alright. "Okay then, we should probably start or else the food will get cold. Let's go yeah?"
Reneé said with a close-eyed smile.
~ Timeskip ~
"I don't know about everyone else but I sure am full." Reneé said to them.
"Hmph, well you are only human so you can't eat as much as us demons." Vox replied to you, albeit a bit cockily.
"She is after all a lady, so it would make sense as to why she eats less than us." Ahh there goes Alastor defending her, but she had different views.
"I don't really think that's true Al, after all I helped myself to at least 2 plates brimming with food." Reneé said a bit embarassed. "Even my family said that I eat a lot." Chuckling to herself at the memory of her family teasing her about it.
"Setting that aside I think the sweet girl did a good job at making us this meal." Lucifer interjected to your conversation.
"Hmm yes she did do an amazing job of being the perfect little wife, now did you darling~?" Valentino complimented Reneé with a purr at the end.
"I wouldn't mind having you as a wife if it means I get the luxury of eating like this everytime I want, after all I only deserve the best." Stolas, of course being himself, responded to Reneé with his decadent persona.
"I wonder if I brought you to hell would you be able to create these fantastic dishes over there as well?" Pondered the king of hell.
"I don't think they would be quite excited to see a human in hell." Sweatdropping Reneé answered to Lucifer's idea.
"Oh that sounds like a marvelous idea! Reneé over here cooking magnificent dishes using hell's best ingredients! Why it might as well keep me entertained!" Now Alastor has joined at the idea of Reneé going to hell. Great.
"Yes only the best ingredients for the best results specially made for moi!" Aaand there goes Stolas.
"Umm, I don't think-"
"She might as well try some of the clothing I have back at hell." Val seriously you too?!
"You don't mind going to hell with us don't you little human? After all we have been visiting you for quite a while now, and you would have 4 overlords of hell and 1 Goetia demon as your guides." Well actually Vox did have a point.
"...." Reneé thought it over for a moment. And then she suddenly smiled and laughed. "Sure why not? After all I am quite curious as to what it looks like there, consider this as a trade for me showing you around here."
And so her day ends with the overlords being elated to knowing they would get to show Reneé around hell, and of course with more bickering from a certain deer and flat screen tv, more flirting from two other demons, resulting to the king of hell to do something so that Reneé doesn't get sued for noise complaint.
~ End ~
(Sorry if they all seem a bit ooc, also this was just based off on a dream that I had recently so it is a bit random.)

{OOC: For Phanuel and Sarah, to put it bluntly; they really hate going against them and act like hissing cats towards them. Probably will never interact with them unless by force - like they pop in the inbox here - mostly due to lack of formal interaction}
Aurora: She's mostly familiar with Carnival and slightly with Ancient. She faintly recalls being cared for by one of them Heartless Tentacle Man, but she doesn't bring it up to respect him. It's in the past, no need to dig it up again - and besides, why try melting an icy heart when it's clear that he moved on? Ancient, in her opinion, is rather a volcano about to erupt any second as time passes by - when he does, Aurora has already left the area because she is not dealing with that.
As for the other personalities (Original and Oar), Aurora feels a bit more relaxed in a way? Not to the point where she lets down her guard, but enough to casually have conversations and visit them at times. Probably brings treats and accesories to all of them, even if Ancient does frighten her very much.
As for matches, she plays as she would usually do against each one. Sometimes on days where Aurora is playing, she'll be playful and tease them while in a chase - her veils are probably not helping in the situation. If she's left to bleed out, Aurora would simply laugh and asked them questions to further annoy them (though this is mostly the case for Carnival and Ancient as she's mostly familiar with them. Oar and Original would be given much softer remarks, such as "Do you think that -insert random thing here-?")
#i thought logically on this one as technically aurie interacted the most with hastur#im not saying that aurie is friends with them#just acquaintances who try to be on good terms but obviously cant because of their duty?#meme ask

(ooc) Could you kindly write a story where Peacock and Squigly go out on a date?
A/N I imagined them being in their late teens in this, but it’s not specified.
—————————————————————————————————-
Peacock and Squigly walked along the beach, the lights of New Meridian’s boardwalk carnival reflecting across the ocean behind them. They had opted to leave the bustle of the boardwalk for a quieter more remote route home. Peacock didn’t care about peoples’ opinions, but the stares got annoying, and Squigly liked an opportunity to shed her careful disguise. Leviathan certainly welcomed it, now able to lie around Squigly’s shoulders snuggled half under his host’s scarf.
Peacock squeezed the huge stuffed bird wrapped under her arm, a worthy trophy of her bottle shooting skills. “So, uh…havin’ a good time?”
Squigly replied with a smile. “I am. You’ve asked that three times now.”
Peacock wanted to punch herself in the face but kept her cool. “Just makin’ sure.”
They returned to their silent observation of the waves and city lights. Peacock pulled a cigar from beneath her hat and took a drag to soothe her nerves. It wasn’t that they were having trouble connecting – far from it, they had talked for a solid hour and a half at the restaurant – and the lull in conversation wasn’t uncomfortable, but Peacock couldn’t help but be worried.
Were they supposed to hold hands while they walked? That would be awkward with how long Peacock’s arms were. Was she supposed to compliment Squigly? Peacock wasn’t the best at being shmaltzy, and with her attitude she wondered if it would come across as genuine.
Old Ben had told her she didn’t have to bring any gifts except her company, but now she was doubting him. She could offer her prize as a last resort, but it felt too late now. (And even if it was for Squigly, she didn’t want to give it up.)
One of her eyes noticed Avery pop out of the top of her hat, and beckon Leviathan closer. Peacock strained to decipher their whispers, but to no avail, only seeing the serpent glance at her with an unreadable expression.
She gulped. She had the feeling that Leviathan’s approval could be a deal breaker here, and if Avery was sabotaging her, intentionally or not, he’d be sleeping in a birdcage for weeks to come.
Leviathan nudged Squigly with his tail. She looked at him hesitantly, and after an encouraging nod from him, she spoke up.
“…Are you enjoying yourself, Peacock?”
“Yeah, why?”
“I just…I’ve been having fun, but I suppose I can’t stop thinking…” She took a breath, “This is a date, correct?”
“Well, yeah. I mean, I think so. I guess I didn’t say ‘date’ when I asked, but it’s what I meant.”
She sighed in relief. “Thank goodness. I thought perhaps I had misinterpreted. You’ll have to forgive me, it’s nothing you’ve done, I just thought it would feel….”
“Different? Like fireworks and roses? Yeah, you and me both, hun.”
She smiled sheepishly. “Should I have brought roses? I considered it, but Leviathan said I didn’t have to. You don’t seem like a ‘flower’ person anyway.”
“It’s fine. I do got fireworks though.” She pulled off her hat and pointed inside. “I could set ‘em off for kicks.”
“Do you mean actual fireworks or bombs?”
“…Ain’t they the same thing?”
Squigly laughed. Peacock’s heart fluttered, although she wasn’t sure if that was a ‘yes’ or ‘no’.
“I suppose this was bound to be a little awkward.” Squigly sighed. “We’ve never done been on a date before.”
“Maybe we did, and we just never called it that.” She joked.
“…Perhaps we did.”
They both went quiet, contemplating to the sound of the waves. Leviathan, who had been trying to keep quiet out of courtesy, spoke up.
“Not to interrupt, but it’s getting a bit late.”
“Yeah, yeah, I get it, grandpa. I’ll have her home by 9.”
“I just want to be sure you don’t miss your stories.” He smirked. “I heard you’ve been watching 'Nights of Our Love’ lately. Quite popular among starry-eyed young ladies, as I understand.”
Squigly gasped with a huge smile. “You’re watching that too? I thought you didn’t like romances.”
Peacock saw Avery slip into the darkness of her hat, snickering the whole way. She grimaced, and slowly moved her lit cigar into her hat.
“Well, y’know,” The sound of a fuse lighting and a bird squawking eased her nerves. “Sometimes it gets interesting.”
#skullgirls#peacock#squigly#leviathan#avery#fanfiction archive#this feels like the completion of a trilogy i've done for this pairing lol#i don't actively ship a lot for this game but this is a top-tier lowkey one for me
