I always love it when people integrate jewelry (specifically gold) into fictional cultures and this just takes the cake--- is there any jewelry/item associated with non-spousal partnership or platonic partnership? Most jewelry in the lamb/sheep culture is non romantic. It’s based off of intent on both parties, sort of saying nonverbally what you think you are to someone, and how they in turn perceive you.

For example, if you’d like to be friends with someone, you’d give them something for their hands and arms, but if they put it on their clothes you know they only think of you as an acquaintance. Anything above the head is reserved for family, and anything on the feet is for people you hate.

If someone gave you a necklace, and you wrapped it around your wrist, it’s basically rejecting someone’s proposal, but saying “I’d still like to be friends though”.

There’s creativity with how jewlery is displayed, and most of the Lamb's follower's offerings are either somehow attached to their fleece or displayed in the temple.

When Shamura gifted Auri a set of bracelets, they put them on their horns (because Shamura is now family). Shamura saw this, put the pieces together, and realized that Narinder and the Lamb were married.

Shamura told their other siblings, but all the bishops refuse to tell Narinder, because they think its funny.

I HAVENT DONE AU RA YET but I love the lizards…. My best friends lizardguys. I haven’t gotten to endwalker yet and I know there’s a few more auri characters in there so…maybe my ideas will change But

au ra are I think probably the most diverse species out there just based on HOW MANY lizards exist and how BIG the azim steppes/doma/their reach is. I don’t know if I’d divide species traits by xaela/raen or if they all share that diversity, but I’m tempted to say there are fewer raen, most of whom are either in solitude or hanging out in doma, and they kind of remain proud of their celestial lineage, so they on the whole have more often “draconic” traits, while xaela with their many different lifestyles on the steppe on the whole will be more diverse. Like eastern dragons versus every other dragon species

so! between everyone I think their scales are Way More, most of which are very very hard and difficult to scratch or dent but some of which are soft like some reptiles wherein it’s not necessarily a scale, which sheds layers (like turtles shed their scutes), and more like skin, which sheds in flakes (like snakes or geckos). Au ra whose scales are soft like that are generally the same types of au ra who can pop their (also often soft and thick!) tails off at will and regrow them. Most au ra have very tough, muscly scaly tails, anywhere from big thick crocodile tails to thin draconic tails to tails that have ossified spines or clubs at the end (like dinosaurs!). Since they’re so strong, they can be used to emote — hitting them against the ground is a happy sign, while dragging it against things is Not. Also kids tend to grab and pull them a lot, which leads to the common thought of tail pulling being seen as kiddy. It is quite rude to do to an au ra as an adult. Their scales can sometimes spread to cover most of their body, and sometimes be restricted to the forearms, face, tail, and legs. their horns (aside from being basically ears which I think is cool, they must be pretty complex organs on the inside — I think they can shed but only the tips, like goats, and breaking any further is both really hard and very harmful not only to their ears but because they’re full of blood vessels!! Be careful! ) aren’t really used for fighting or anything they are there for hearing and temperature regulation and in defense. Au ra don’t really, like, sweat? They’re warm-blooded, but don’t sweat. So an important thing to keep in mind if you’re going into the desert is that overheating looks different in an au ra vs another race (lethargy, drooling, and unfocused eyes are your main tells). many of their horns point forwards to block their face. so no, sleeping isn’t that hard bc they sleep like loafs, but yes kissing is hard :( that’s not really a thing they do unless someone else wants to they snuggle and rub scales. so says yoshi p

Protofeathers are basically dinosaur fur - they are NOT feathers. They’re little hollow filaments somewhere between a feather shaft and hair. These ones are pretty stiff. That’s why au ra hair can so easily stick right up like a cockatiel. Some au ra have been noted to have protofeathers on their neck and arms like fur too :0

Speaking for a long time. uhhhh let’s see they have feets anywhere from plantigrade (clawed, kinda geckoey) to digitigrade (DINO!!!), their claws really need trimming often bc they don’t stop growing, they are not obligate carnivores like hrothgar but like miqote they need more meat than they do veggies, and it’s sometimes very hard for a non- au ra to tell if the big growl they’re doing is happy or not because big growl is how they purr! They can faintly see infrared

hm well since it just says 'significant' and not necessarily romantic im going to cheat and give two, lucanis and harding bc it's not going to be hard enough to answer this concisely already

lucanis immediately shares an understanding with auri just by virtue of being a crow and knowing what that entails. he also acts as a mirror in the sense that it's easier to look at someone you care about and say 'what happened to you was fucked up and you didn't deserve it' than to realize it about yourself. in the beginning they were pursuing him as an inauthentic version of themself based on what they thought he'd want; by having it sort of break off, it then grew back more organically, and more undeniably about them as they are, instead of what they could give or potentially become

harding is auri's first close friend. they just hadn't ever had an opportunity to build a relationship on mutual respect and trust before. they don't feel they have to perform around her and can be honest with her about their feelings. i think a large part of it was that she was willing to extend this trust to them first, as it's probably not something they could've done on their own, but it had an incredible effect on them to be treated as an equal

Ok first of all, hokke is trickstar's center and subaru isnt treated as trickstar's leader. Their main deal is that they are equals, they are from the same year and they are all friends, in the very start there wasnt even a leader! The leader was stablished at the end of akatsuki's S2 in the ! Main story, this leader was... Anzu! Anzu was the very first leader of trickstar!! And later the leadership was passed onto hokke bc Anzu cant be a part of trickstar in paper since she is not an idol herself.

I have to say that they also confuse themselves too and forget about the leader thing (bc they are equals!!!)

So yeah in the end the leader of Trickstar was pushed onto Hokke. It's not as if he's the best leader tho, that would be mao or makoto HAHAH he is truly confrontational and gets angry easily. But imo it fits him, it's as if he is laughing at his parents who never once congratulate him for winning the ddd or who clapped for him when he betrayed his friends. It's a sign of his rebellion against his own parents, he does what he wants now and doesn't care about what they think, because he has found people who truly care about him.

They are two sides of the same coin! Anzu is Subaru's pair in the 7th anni!

They are truly bonded, they are the bestest of friends! They have seen each other at their worst and Anzu was a decesive point in Trickstar's revolution.

It's true that Hokke was the start, he had the initial drive to lead the revolution and it wasnt until rabits' complete lost against akatsuki that Subaru had the same fuel, because someone important to him got hurt.

But the point is that Hokke was stopped when Eichi wanted to disband trickstar, he even had the approval of his parents and Hokke has always done what his parents say.

After Trickstar's disbanded Anzu was the only one that stayed with Subaru. Everyone else stopped talking to him and even he starts calling Hokke by his name, Hokuto.

Anzu came to like idols thanks to trickstar, thanks to Subaru's Trickstar. The very first step she made to help their revolution was to help Subaru when he was left all alone, and thanks to that they could participate in the ddd and reunite with everyone else.

Everyone wanted them to win. Because although Eichi thought he left Subaru with nothing they came back after him because they are not alone and because friendship is the thing that made them strong, something old fine didn't have. Subaru was not alone and his fate is not the same as his father, he will not be alone at the top and later die. He will reach the top with his friends, with their support and their strenght.

So my point is that Subaru is the mascot of enstars and its protagonist because Anzu wants him to be.

so yesterday i went to see argylle (very camp much fun super cheese) and afterwards went to play the claw machines at the mall (cause i love them) and lo and behold! there was a loid forger plushie in the machine

ofc my brain being RP-coded it went Blond Hair + Suit = Aury so i was like "lol don't worry Not Aury i'll save you from the box" and i got him no prob

then afterwards i went to buy mango and passionfruit ice cream rolls and was chatting with friends on discord about Not Aury and sending them pics of me feeding him and suddenly...this lady comes to sit next to me

Aurora: She's mostly familiar with Carnival and slightly with Ancient. She faintly recalls being cared for by one of them Heartless Tentacle Man, but she doesn't bring it up to respect him. It's in the past, no need to dig it up again - and besides, why try melting an icy heart when it's clear that he moved on? Ancient, in her opinion, is rather a volcano about to erupt any second as time passes by - when he does, Aurora has already left the area because she is not dealing with that.

As for the other personalities (Original and Oar), Aurora feels a bit more relaxed in a way? Not to the point where she lets down her guard, but enough to casually have conversations and visit them at times. Probably brings treats and accesories to all of them, even if Ancient does frighten her very much.

As for matches, she plays as she would usually do against each one. Sometimes on days where Aurora is playing, she'll be playful and tease them while in a chase - her veils are probably not helping in the situation. If she's left to bleed out, Aurora would simply laugh and asked them questions to further annoy them (though this is mostly the case for Carnival and Ancient as she's mostly familiar with them. Oar and Original would be given much softer remarks, such as "Do you think that -insert random thing here-?")

I’ve been really busy and haven’t had a chance to coherently read through your WW1 story from start to finish yet but from what I can tell one of the characters is trans in a historical setting? Im really into trans characters in historical fiction, and I’m planning a story about a non binary character set during the 50s (although they aren’t really able to explain their identity for a while and tend to be perceived as a guy by other characters in the story). I was just wondering if you had any good resources or advice for writing that, anything you personally found useful along the way. Yeah, Auri is nonbinary/trans! They are actually based on an individual famous in history as Thomas(ine) Hall, who lived in the early 1600s.

Thomas(ine) is often known as one of the first known individuals to operate outside of the gender binary within colonial American communities. (I phrase it that way because the concept of operating outside the male/female binary had long existed in indigenous America, so this was a bit like saying Amerigo Vespucci discovered continents already teeming with people on them).

The individual, who went by both Thomas and Thomasine, depending on the date and what was planned for the day, was involved in a wildly famous court case, as Thomas(ine) was caught having a bit of a liaison with a maid, while wearing female clothing. However, as Thomas Hall, the individual had joined up with the entirely male military service and spent much of their life dressing in masculine clothing. They were also known sometimes to wear feminine clothing to seek out sexual intimacy with men, and masculine clothing when they were seeking out time with women.

When subjected to a physical examination, it was discovered that Thomas(ine) was intersex. Eventually, after it wound its way through the courts, it was declared that Thomas(ine) Hall was male and female simultaneously and must dress as such.

There are aspects of Thomas(ine)'s personality - irreverence and disdain for the concept of having to act as specifically male or female - that I borrowed for Auri, as well as their approximate date of birth and age, although Auri was born in a part of Germany (then Saxony).

Auri is also intersex, and what gender they perform - and for Auri, it is ALWAYS a performance - depends mightily on what they are intending to do that day. We haven't seen them dress in femme clothing yet mostly just because they've been at war. But it'll come up, I promise.

okok spoilers for the aurora cycle series and a causal disclaimer that i haven't finished book 3 (and its been at least a couple months since i've read the first two books so if im remembering stuff incorrectly in spots then uhhh WHOOPS)

there are about 3 romance plots in the books between the main charcacters (theres 7 mcs.. at least at the start LMAO) and of the three romance plots only ONE is decent enough where it doesnt ruin anything- probably because its not rlly put into action outside of obnoxious flirting (but everyone in the crew obnoxiously flirts with each other so its fine) until the end of the 2nd book/3rd book so its whatevs

(I'm adding a cut here bc it gets pretty long and i don't wanna overtake the dash but give this a read? maybe?)

THE OTHER TWO ROMANCE PLOTS THOUGH

they very early on introduce romantic tension between cat and tyler in the most unnecessary way possible? their reasoning for why they dont get together is. very odd to the least? (it's like 'im leader of the squad and ur under my leadership so we CANT be together' maybe its about the power imbalance? but also they're literally childhood friends) but before anything happens cat fuxking dies so its just this weird plothole that occasion gets dragged back up as a sort of angst point for tyler? but theres no POINT to their whole 'i like u but we cant be together but also i dont like cuz ur my bff' thing bc u could do the EXACT SAME THING with no romance plot whatsoever!! its so annoying like the easiest fix is to just. get rid of the romance plot! BOOM

And then. kal and aurora. kal and FUCKING AURORA

i have so much pent up rage abt their relationship bc its so FAKE and just lazy fucking writing all around. HONESTLY their relationship is the reason why i started this rant in the first place!

whats even worse is that they had potential to have an interesting dynamic that lead to them being a couple but NOOOOO kal has the 'magical soulmate bond uwu 🥺🥺' with aurora for whatever reason and pushes her away bc of it bc he doesnt wanna make he uncomfortable (which was fine and i didnt mind) and then he finally tells her and OH WOW AURORA SUDDENLY HAS FEELING FOR HIM EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP OR EVEN REALLY IMPLIED B4 THE GOT TOGETHER (<- my issue with their relationship) like yes aurora had shown (non-romantic) interest in kal BECAUSE he pushed her away and she didn't know why but it was never implied that she actually like. LIKED him outside of the occasional pointing out that he was attractive (which again is a commonplace for ALL the characters to do so it didn't really hold much weight)

so, because the writers so desperately need it i have! 3 solutions to this trash of a romance plot!

also before i start just as an overall statement: I WANT THEM TO INTRODUCE THE PULL/SOULMATE BOND THING EARLIER!!!!!!

ANYWAYS

a) aka the easy way out: get rid of the damn 'pull' or soulmate bond or whatever. if ur gonna get them together at least do it naturally if ur gonna be lazy about it

b) the gay canon divergent option: keep the pull but have him become attracted to TYLER instead- i only say this because they genuinely do have the chemistry and not just bc i want it to be gay LMAO. it can be enemies to lovers where while the kiss they have (yes they kiss. it's not romantic or anything and done more-so to cover up what they're ACTUALLY doing but yeah.) is still the turning point in their friendship it also introduces the idea of kal having feelings for tyler via the pull and tyler having feelings for kal just in general.

and c) the canon compliant option: again, keep the pull and keep everything the same BUT when kal tells auri about the pull and tells her that she doesn't have to reciprocate she agrees saying that SHE DOES NOT HOLD ROMANTIC FEELINGS FOR HIM but! that she would be willing to like. help him out. it can then either become a qpr instead OR later on down the line they could get together in a /r relationship BUT it'd have to be like. at the end of book 2 or maybe even of book 3

but like yeah. romance in the aurora cycle could've deffo been written better thats for sure

least favourite well god i wish araki got around to developing most of his character in part 5 proper. sighs. i know theres A LOT OF it in there its just that the KICK to giorno as a guy comes in literally the last arc *insert him being so os soos osososoo so small staring up at bruno ascending and he genuinely questions for the first time ohgodnoiDOOOONT WANT IT. LIKE THIS NOT LIKE THISSS.* vento aureo has some great character everywhere but its so sad that that it only gets to do so much with giorno. mind you theres MORE THAN PEOPLE FUCKING THINK which is exactly my gripe with fanon. even when people are correctly writing fugio or smthn its like. ok wheres the insight into giornos inner world. his thoughts. his emotions. things he doesnt necessarily say in a straightforward way or even out loud to begin with. guys you know he has feelings right he has a lot of them. GUYS you are falling for the fictional characters fictional in-universe facade that he uses to fool other fictional characters in-universe AGAIN . just once i want people to THINK about how giorno questions his actions and choices despite being absolutely sure that he'll follow through on them. whatever im re-reading auris fics i guess MOST FAVOURITE THING I GUESS. i like analyzing him as entirely his own guy who has nothing to do with the joestar bloodline and then coming across some insight into him that maps very interestingly ONTO joestarisms or dioisms and then being like. ok sure but also this is just how he is. giorno is not his bloodline he really isnt he can be determined and he can be insane and he can ofhiodfjkshkhghdjls and thats all HIM it doesnt even have anything to do with the inheritance theming thats so important in jojo otherwise its just him. its cool. AAAND i adore how hes a take on a passive character because he extremely very much is and he can balance BEING very passive with being fucking insane. you know

A Modest Proposal

Back straight. Eyes down. Book open.

Mizuna spent the first half of her shift a hair's breadth away from the overnight beds. K'vyna was able to eat solid food despite her broken ribs and collarbone, but Mizuna didn't want her moving around until she was absolutely certain her bones were healing correctly, especially with that shattered leg; otherwise it would be up to her to break them again to start the healing process anew. Dawn could sit up and hold a conversation at least, yet getting used to her two foreign eyes will certainly be a challenge, especially with one of them with the signature Auri limbal ring. That cerulean eye staring back at her was unsettling. Mizuna felt like two strangers were looking at her when Dawn met her gaze, but she would never tell her that; she’s been through enough, and adding to her insecurities would help no one. Nijah always stayed longer than the allotted time for visits, but Mizuna always let it slide- Dawn needed someone to talk to. Speaking of which, even Osric himself checked in to pay her a visit once. With luck they could close the rift between them sooner than later.

While K’vyna was broken physically, Dawn was broken emotionally. It pained Mizuna to see them both in such shattered states… yet they remained better off than Conobharo.

The Lalafell had his arm severed right across the ball-socket joint, and it was not with him when he arrived to the clinic. The  blood loss made him lethargic for the first few days, but after enough rest he could talk and move around on his own- at least until he was struck with phantom pain in his missing limb. With just a pinch of nightshade essence and a tonze of gloomroot, Mizuna had Conobharo's head swimming in anesthetics and bedridden until the agony would pass. Worse still, he was still struggling to accept the fact that he was now handicapped, and it was taking its toll on him, both physically and psychologically. She was convinced he could kiss the mercenary life behind; how could he survive out there with only one hand? Surely he couldn't swing that heavy sword now. Perhaps he could find fulfillment in helping around the clinic? Khair and Mizuna could certainly use the help, plus his sense of humor would always be a welcome diversion.

She kept a monitor on their vitals with her so she could rush to their aid at a moment's notice, even during her smoke breaks; dark circles sagged from her eyes while she read, unwilling to rest until her shift was over. Dawn, K'vyna and Conobharo were all counting on her for a safe and swift recovery… yet some would recover sooner than others. And one may never truly recover at all.

Boom!

There it was again, easily the queerest thunder she had ever heard. There were no windows in the main lobby of the clinic so looking to see the storm clouds herself required more effort than tilting her head. The weather report made no mention of a shower, but Thanalan was infamous for its sudden storms; she was almost ready to return to her book and continue reading Life as an Amputee: A Beginner’s Course before she was rudely interrupted again. Boom! “That does it.” She muttered to herself, rising to her feet. The magitek device keeping tabs on their vitals was wireless and mobile at least, allowing Mizuna to pluck it off the table and carry it with her- and carry it she did, all the way straight to the front door.

She was greeted with the blazing glare of the Thanalan midafternoon sun: no rain, clouds, or thunder. K’thalen appeared next once her eyes began to adjust, his back turned and smoke rising from the barrel of his rifle. He stood alone in the center of the courtyard, or so she first thought; S’era appeared atop the arch over the entrance to the estate with her katana drawn. “What’s going on out here?”

“Ah- heya Doc.” K’thalen turned an ear toward the woman but kept his gaze focused on S’era. “Gigglefits over yonder claimed Hadriel is the greatest swordsman in the world. So I tell’r; what good is all that skill when a drunkard with a clear shot can kill ‘im? So she says he can deflect bullets. I told her there ain’t no way he can move that fast, and even if he could, he can’t parry a barrage, yeah? So now she claims anyone with enough practice can deflect a bullet, so…” He raised his rifle and fired. BOOM! Mizuna flinched at how loud his boomstick bellowed. She glanced up frantically to see S’era wave her sword in the air, then stomp her feet and curse under her breath. “See? If I was aimin’ center mass n’not over your shoulder you’d be dead, darlin’!”

“I just need a few more bells of practice!” She insisted, preparing herself for another attempt. “Do it again!”

"This is incredibly dangerous, reckless, and irresponsible." Mizuna scowled, feeling that dreadful sound ringing in her hollow horns. "You both should stop before someone reports suspicious gunfire in the Goblet."

K'thalen couldn't argue with that; he was already on their watch list for public intoxication and disturbing the peace. "Aye, she'll never be able to deflect 'em anyroad. Come on down, Era, before you fall off n'break your ankle. Goddess knows the Doc's gotter hands full already." A groan slipped from the Samurai before she hopped down, still certain such a feat could be possible. Mizuna, content with handling this situation swiftly, checked the vitals one last time before she turned on her heel to flee this muggy heat.

She didn’t make it ten paces before S’era came trotting in behind her. “Oh Doctor Kusakari? Can I ask you something? I know this probably isn’t a good time, but I need a huge favor…”

Mizuna glanced down at the vitals again before giving the woman a warm yet faint smile. “What’s the matter?” Just as she finished speaking, K’thalen came strolling in as well, with one hand holding his rifle upright, and the other clasped around his old flask.

How could she tell her? How could she convince this woman- who on all accounts was practically a stranger- to risk her life to help people she couldn’t possibly be invested in. Risking her own life in Mor Dhona with friends willingly volunteering to help was one thing, but now she was older, fairly wiser, and far less willing to act on emotions alone. It was a big request, but it was better for Mizuna or Khair to come along than Dawn, especially in her state.

“S’era?” Mizuna repeated, snapping her out of her daze. “What’s wrong?”

“Ah… I… well you see…”

“Is this a medical question?” The Raen woman asked, glancing over at K’thalen who was busy chugging more liquor. “Should we go somewhere private to talk?”

“No, it’s not a personal-...” S’era began wringing her hands before she took in a deep breath and stood up straight. “My tribe… the Zu Tribe, needs help. I need a medical professional and I don’t know Dr. Himaa at all, so…”

At last K’thalen made a noise as he coughed and choked on his drink. “Guh-...! Huck…! What?! You wanna bring her to your tribe, S’era?! Have you gone mad?!”

“The Zu Tribe is infamous for killing anyone who enters their lands.” Mizuna calmly explained what K’thalen was alluding to. “I would love to help your people, but I don’t want to be strung up and flayed. I just don’t see how I could even get close enough to help them.”

“My Nunh has agreed to let outsiders in… on my watch.” S’era explained, ignoring his remarks. “Please, Dr. Kusakari… our kittens have some sort of disease that-”

Mizuna didn’t even flinch. “I’ll do it.”

“Huh?!” Both S’era and K’thalen exclaimed at the same time, before looking at each other.

“I’ve only seen a handful of Miqo’te children in my travels, and none that were younger than nine or ten. This is an opportunity of a lifetime.” Mizuna glanced down to check the vitals again- still safe, still stable. “If you can guarantee my safety then I’ll gladly help. And if Miqo’te kittens are as adorable as they claim… then I won’t soon regret this.”

“The mention of kittens was all she needed to change her mind?” S’era thought to herself, nodding confidently at Mizuna. “This is all going better than I originally planned!”

FFXIV Write 2020 #8: Clamour

(A/N: Very nearly a bit late posting and submitting this entry - and actually it was right at 8pm my timezone that I did submit it, which is when the deadline is so idk if it counts :’D i tried, irl got me busy during the day, I wrote this in an hour. If it doesn’t count then oh well :’)

But i dicided to make this one about my other WoL Yuri, and her first time in Limsa. My standard for her as an au ra is that she tried to keep herself covered during ARR timeline, unused to Eorzea as she was, as well as knowing au ra weren’t common here. Plus she’s heard certain rumours about Ishgard >.>

So again, I wrote this in an hour and just made it to the deadline, maybe even didn’t make it in time, so I’m sorry if this is a bit quick and rough

The hustle and bustle of Limsa Lominsa was not unlike Kugane’s ports. People walked to and fro, chatting eagerly with friends while shoppers bargained with market vendors. So busy were the streets that no one seemed to pay the new passengers fresh off the boat any mind.

Yuri’s eyes darted around, pulling her face mask tighter over her horns and scales and brushing her bangs, making sure they covered her forehead well. She was already nervous enough being in a land where auri folk were uncommon, if not completely unheard of, yet at least for now, she had blended in. She just needed to attune to the local aetheryte, find the arcanist’s guild, then she could spend the rest of the day settling in and finding her way around town. Brushing past the boat’s disembarked passengers - some few roegadyn men, a gaggle of giggling hyuran girls and a pair of similar looking elezen children - she made her way through the markets.

Stall after stall filled with weapons and armour and robes, and shopkeepers of all different appearances. Large stocky roegadyns carrying crates on their shoulders, broad hyurans skulking between each stall, and tiny miqo’te milling by the market boards, their fluffy tails swinging to and fro. A rat-like creature crossed Yuri’s path at one point, making her jump.

Her steps quickened, passing from one market to the next, spying the aetheryte in the next plaza over. The familiar rush of aether flooded over her as she attuned, finally settling her somewhat, as though grounding her more in the local area. It wasn’t much, but it was a start.

A word with the man dressed in yellow standing watch over the plaza redirected her back the way she’d come for the arcanists' guild, flustering the young woman. Did she miss some signage when she’d left the boat?

A ruckus had broken out near a food stand in the eastern-most stretch of markets. Two men, both hyuran though one was taller, with scars writ across both their faces and arms had started shouting at each other, pushing and pointing firmly, while one held a knife in his grip, albeit kept low at his side. The crowd kept their distance, people warily eyeing the pair.

“Lads there’s no need for this,” the vendor pleaded, trying to get between them, however a sudden lunge from the taller man sent the vendor stumbling into the other, who regained his footing and jumped, his fist bearing the knife now flying. Yuri rushed forward, bending down to see to the shopkeeper. A bruise on his temple, but he was fine. 

Anger burst through the auri woman, outweighing any fear or nerves, and she shot to her feet. “That is enough!” she shouted. The taller of the two had already been downed, holding a hand to his shoulder where blood gushed between his fingers. The smaller, rabid man spun on her, bloodied knife at the ready.

“What? You want to say somethin’?” he growled. Yuri stepped back, suddenly realising the situation, yet before she could decide to snap back or back down, he winced, and crumbled to the ground, a knife in his side. 

Behind him, as though having manifested out of nowhere, a miqo’te woman with red hair winked at Yuri and said, “Good try, love, but ye can leave ‘im to us.”

To Yuri’s surprise, the crowd almost seemed to relax, and a mumbling rippled through. “We can leave the thieves to handle this then.”

“The jackets’ll be on ‘em two shortly.”

Yuri put her head down, surprised at her own temper and how quickly she’d jumped into the fray, and she walked off quickly. Perhaps Limsa Lominsa was far more different from Kugane than she’d first thought.

Why i love Firestar , By Robin

Why am i talking about this ?  Well, read to find out, Tw: Pretty sad , Cancer talk , Anxiety  , Bullying and Death mention .

People usually ask me why i love Firestar so much , my friends  say hes a Garystew and how he was made for only success when we are talking about the books , but i really dont see him that way.

Firestar reminds me of myself sort of, sounds narcissistic already Huh? Cause im choosing the main character. 

But let me explain . Firestar went Through alot of  stuff that reminded me of myself

8 & Younger , “Kittypet Phase” - Now i call this the kittypet phase because i wasn't really introduced to the whole idea of things and i glad i wasn't because it was pretty young to learn about these things, but i was happy and carefree had a ton (and i mean a lot) of friends and did not experience anything with my parents , What lead to the next phase was me and my parents moving to a smaller house because my older brothers moved out and there wasn't really anyone there and the other rooms were there collecting dust. So we did , And later on when we got settled into the house , I discovered the computer and discovered what YouTube was  and of course i watched away , the one that i loved the most was Ihascupquake and this was when she still cursed and  i would turn down the volume every time she did because i didn't want her to hear that.

9 “Joining the Clan Phase”- Alright , We got to this phase , here we go , So i got headphones n stuff because my mom trusted me that i wouldn't say the curse words the people in the videos said, And i didnt , So then i started to get bullied because i was kind of awkward yet really sociable, People started to call me “Fatty “ or “ugly “ and i didn't really understand , i was pretty thin for a kid  so ignored them  . I had a few friends that i’ll call my Graypaw and Ravenpaw (of course) And they were amazing , I played with them and them being friends with me blocked out all the hateful Speech , and then later on in the year ... It happened.

9-11 “Finding out Tigerclaw was Evil Phase”  Oh boy Here it is , The phase where all the trigger warnings came from. Anyways  , I started getting anxiety by the end of 4th grade and asked my mom to go to the doctor because i really wasn't feeling well. Obviously my mother knew something was wrong because i never liked the doctor,  So she took me to the hospital where the doctor did some CT scans and , It was Found out , The doctor told me i had  Hodgkins Lymphoma he said there was a 75% Chance of death and i was scared out of my mind and so was my mother . So every other weak i had to go to the doctor, I wasn't able to have a summer that year, and when  i went to school for 5th grade i wore a hat because my hair was gone , and a person from the hospital came to my school to explain why i wore a hat. Then... A person turned on me ,  a person who i thought was my ravenpaw turned out to be a Tigerclaw in Disguise, She turned on me in 6th grade  the moment i had hair she started to bully me and saying really mean things to her, i tried to tell my friend (who i will call my bluestar) But she brushed it off and said that aury wasnt mean and just was a bit annoying.

11-12 (CURRENT PHASE ) “Getting my Warrior name Phase” - 7th grade started and i was pretty nervous but new students appeared and i made friends with them , My Bluestar finally got a case of Two Faced Tigerclaw and wasn't friends with her anymore , I got a friend who is my Longtail and a friend who turned out to be darkstripe but i didn't really mind that much , Dustpelt and Whitestorm came also, And i was pretty happy. This phase wont be long because its a current phase And it will probably never be finished because ill forget about it but .
