“Ya know, it’s really creepy that cape of yours cuddles with Tony,” Bucky huffed at Strange.

“Cloak,” the doctor corrected, smirking as he watched his cloak glare at Steve who tried to cozy up on the couch next to the genius, “You’re just jealous that Tony likes me better than you and Rogers.”

The ex-assassin scoffed at that, “Ain’t nothin’ to be jealous of.”

“Beep beep! Outta my way,” Quill interjected, bumping his way pass the other two, “Here ya go StarDust.”

“Aw, thank you Peter,” the genuis smiled, sipping the hot coffee in his hand, humming “Just the way I like it hot.”

Not to be out done by the half-alien, “Do you need me to get you anything, Tony?“

“Unless it’s to allow me back into my lab, no Cap,” Tony gave him a hopeful smile.

It nearly broke the super soldier’s heart when he shook his head at the engineer’s request.

“You know I can’t allow that Tony,” the blonde regretfully told him, “You heard what your doctor and Banner said and you sure as heck know what Miss Pott’s would say if she knew you were trying to sneak off to work.“

Tony pouted at that, frustrated that he’d sidelined by Loki and some Doom bots.

“Hey doll, wanna take a look at my arm?” Bucky called out, purposely bumping the Sorcerer Supreme but paused. Did the cloak just hiss at him?

Just as Bucky was about to take the free spot beside Tony, boxing him in between himself and his best pal, T'challa swooped in.

“Here are the plans that you asked for, Anthony,” the young King offered passing the StarkPad to the brunet, “Shuri asked that you contact her as soon you are able to.”

“Thank her for me.” Tony snorted looking through the tablet, “Is this you?”

Tony turned the screen to the King, Bucky peered over his shoulder watching the younger man’s face morph to humiliation.

The ex assassin caught his friend’s eyes having a silent conversation while the young King grumbled about double checking his sister’s surveillance again.

“Aw, Your Pantherness was this your first time with this tech?” Quill teased, winking at Tony who rolled his eyes at the other man.

The dark man glared at him, “No,” he gritted out, he have to have another word with his younger sister, “It was merely a training accident.”

“Oh sure,” Strange commented from his spot in the living room, “What with you being new to the superhero world it must happen all the time.”

The engineer raised an eyebrow at that. Was it him or was there hostility within the group? Trying to diffuse the situation, “So what’s everybody’s plans for dinner?“

Cue four men shoving each other out of the way to head towards the kitchen, while Strange whirls a golden portal turns and winks at Tony before entering it.

We need more No Hard Feelings AUs

The possibilities are endless.

There doesn’t even have to be an age difference. The plot is just fun enough that you really only need two characters who come from very different lives.

Person A, who’s awkward, socially isolated, and is practically (or is) a virgin.

Person B, who’s the polar opposite—confident, charming, and broke (but has a healthy sex life).

Person A’s parents (or friends) hire Person B to “date” Person A with the promise of a car or money or whatever fits the universe.

The story doesn’t even need to be about sex. Person B can also be hired to be Person A’s friend, in order to help them learn to socialize. :)

Person B falls in love with Person A and along the way, helps Person A gain confidence, etc.

Person A finds out about the deal. Angst ensues. 😱

They break up, make-up, the end! What’s not to like?

Just discovered Starkquill pairing, now I can't help but imagine them sliding along the planet with their gadget as a date and the planet glow behide them (with Milano in the background with Rocket maintaining the ship and annoy by the fact that Tony gets to go for a date but Rocket has to work).

“So you carry it around,” Gamora fingered the headset, black plastic creaking under her thumb, “even though you can’t hear it.”

“I’ll be able to.” When I fall in love. The kind of love that meant Mum was left to raise a child by herself for eight years, but kept on hearing music for the rest of her life. Music that made her dance in the kitchen, blare lyrics in the shower, hum softly in the hospital bed. Music and effect that Peter watched with widened eyes, but never heard.

So he carried the Walkman in his pocket, clamped on the headset every day. Hit play and saw the cassette spin, wondering what Come and Get Your Love might sound like.

It was only too bad that he’d hear Highway To Hell first.

I finished reading a fic a few days ago. It's a StarkQuill fic called 'When The Stars Come Calling' by @/lazywriter7 on AO3. And it was sooo good, like????

A well thought out story, in canon character work, great character development, feel-good heartwreching moments (THE ANGST!), fantastic writing and just about everything else that makes a story absolutely perfect!

StarkQuill (Tony Stark/Peter Quill, Iron Man/Star Lord) is definitely not a popular ship and honestly, I didn't see the appeal of it before I read this fic. I'm more of a Stony/WinterIron person. But if you want to just read a well-written fic with over 100k words and ANGST! and FLUFF! and badassery and genuine character movements etc etc etc, THEN THIS FIC IS FOR YOU.

Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Ahaha, oh man. I have no idea how to respond with any manner of grace, so I’m just gonna skiiip right over awkwardly. Also don’t think I didn’t notice what you did, turning it around on me with the flare of a cape and shower of glitter :P  I have... never thought of using random sound effects while writing crackfic. That sounds fascinating, and somehow entirely expected. I also totally get what you mean about songs kind of but not really being linked to a fic - sometimes the lyrics will connect, but more often than not, it’s the mood of something that counts - no? I don’t really listen to music while I write, especially as the lyrics distract me from the words inside my head, but songs absolutely do inspire the writing beforehand, if y’know what I mean? None for the fics you’ve mentioned, except the actual poem Gather Ye Rosebuds, because the inspiring songs tend to appear directly and diegetically in the fic, a la the timeloop fic - the days, the days (they break to fade) or the soulmates fic -  And Then There Were None (The Friends and Foes Remix) . And then there was that 100k behemoth I wrote which was constructed entirely around a playlist, because how do you not do that with a Guardians fic? Which brings me to the rarepair question. I’m right with you there, anything is golden when Steve/Tony are the main attraction - but I’ve been known to make entire meals out of fries :D Or rather, spaghetti carbonara? The longest complete thing I’ve ever written for fandom continues to be said 100k behemoth -  When The Stars Come Calling. In a weird way, because I’ve read so little of Starkquill, I found myself being able to write and contribute so much more, and fall in love with entirely new characters. There’s something so special about getting to share that journey with people, and it’s been one of my favourite fandom experiences :)

🍐 and 🍍for the writers ask game?

1st of all, this feels like standing before a God & receiving fruit. Like. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be the other way around. I'd LOVE for it to be the other way around--i.e., I'd love to hear YOUR answers to the game. What music (if any) did YOU listen to when you broke the fandom's brain into neat quarters with "Gather Ye Rosebuds"? Or what rarepairs do you enjoy? You're so good at nailing character voices (see: "non-functional requirements") that I feel like you'd convince me to give, like, Thanos/Groot a go.

🍐 - Do you listen to music when you write? If yes, what kind? If no, why not?

Not really! Mostly, I prefer dialogue and chatter. I like to keep shows running in the background; I think it helps me keep the fic moving. That being said, if I've got a particular song stuck in my head, it'll bleed into whatever fic I'm writing. That also being said (lots being said here), it's not always 1-1. Like "Transcendental Blues" by Steve Earle doesn't reallllyyy have anything to do with "Transcendental Blues" the fic. But it also kinda does. Blue curtains type beat. I think the CLEAREST link between fic and song is the summer camp crack fic I wrote--Never Let You See (Baby, What You Mean To Me)--for which I listened to 1 hour of silence broken up by random cartoon sound effects. And well. It complements the fic pretty well. Also, I'm never doing that again. I felt like I was in a Loony Tunes skit for hours afterward.

🍍- Rarepairs? Yea or nay?

Firstly, I don't mean to be that person but maybe I do because I feel like this fruit should have been the pear? Or is that too gauche? Somebody tell me. My radar's off.

And, rarepairs, YAY! Cause, see, I'm a Steve/Tony gal first & foremost. If they're the main course--I'm having a good time regardless. I'm feasting. I'm nom-nom-nom-ing. I don't mind what the side salad is. Or whether the fries are thick or thin. 'Cause the burger is scrumpdillyicious. I may reach for the salsa dip--why not a little Bucky/Sam?--and sometimes, a good beverage washes it down--Nat/Bruce, sure--but I'm there for the burg and if the burg's rockin, this girl's gonna roll. Nooo okay siri delete that last sentence. NO siri embrace cringe. die mad. die feeling something.

I think I'm getting too comfortable on this app but thank you @lazywriter7 and pls let me know the soundtrack to all your fics so I can wallow. A good wallow is nigh! Aight, I'm off to re-read "we were infinite" 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♀️(see how I'm walking towards the fic. Even the emojis know whassup & what's good. FYI: this fic is whassup & what's good.)

Hi! Unfortunately I didn't save a lot of Anti Team Cap fics that are Tony-centered. My few bookmarks are mostly Peter defending Tony from them, and one I like is Starkquill (As in Tony × Peter Quill), so idk if I should recommend you that 😅
