Hello there :)

I've decided to go for something different than usual for this years edition of Easter Eggs :D This year's design is inspired by the most known Polish pottery design - Bolesławiec pottery. I've actually been blessed with opportunity to visit a real pottery workshop in Bolesławiec and try out making such designs myself!

But it wasn't the thing that inspired me to try out this approach. Actually I thought out about this idea when I saw a mural promoting the Mandalorian series which was proudly painted in Wrocław city. It was designed by Jakub Kamiński and I strongly recommend checking out his artwork (for example here -> https://www.behance.net/kaminsky). And of course if you never heard about the Bolesławiec pottery I would also recommend checking it out for yourselves! ;)

Now that you know why I chose that specific patterns, all is left to say is that I've painted two, two-sided eggs this year. One is with Baby Yoda and Mythosaurus Skull (Mandalorian's logo) and the other is with Boba Fett and Din Djarin.

the little kanera moments that show how long they’ve known each other and how well they know each other are so dear to me.

just a few off the top of my head: in 2x01 when kanan starts to get upset/anxious about the authorization and protocol rules of Phoenix squadron, and hera immediately putting her hands up and soothingly saying “talk to me” because she can tell there’s something deeper going with his issues being back in a military organization. in 2x04 when kanan is on comms with her saying how rex, gregor, and wolffe probably aren’t coming back with them, and she knowingly says, “and you don’t want them to” because she knows his history with the clones. in 2x16, hera being upset by her father reaching out and kanan’s reaction making it clear he knows their relationship is rocky, meaning hera has definitely talked to kanan about her dad. in 3x03 when maul says kanan’s real name and hera isn’t even surprised.

How to Train Your Phantom - The Star Wars/PotO coffee shop crossover that nobody asked for

The Palais Garnier had a long and storied reputation as being the place to work if one had aspirations of a career in the theater. Alas, however, not even the Garnier was immune to the dreadful reality of budget cuts. 

Messiers Handre Solo and his partner, the absurdly mustachioed Firbacca, had proven to be miserable failures at balancing a checkbook. The opera house’s coffers had taken a severe blow during their tenure. Erik, being in possession of keener financial acumen than his managers, had successfully staved off most of the bloodletting, but serving both as both full-time ghost and part-time broker was exhausting. As a result, he had not been paying terribly close attention the morning his auditors presented him with the list of Things That Needed to Go. Instead, he blithely signed on the dotted line in his trademark red ink, read the fine print once he was home, and garroted his entire financial team at the start of business the following day. 

Complimentary hair styling products, gone. Pick-up and delivery hat cleaning, gone. Anachronistic Eiffel Tower, gone. Monkey music box, gone. 

(Not much of a loss; it had been a Life Day gift from Little Sultana and Erik was certain the damned thing was cursed, as it tended to start playing of its own accord, generally when he was being spied upon by nosy sopranos or wrapping up a session of primal scream therapy – but it was the principle.)

But most horrifying of all…the Starclef Cantina. Gone.

Fronting the cost for phthalate-free wig wax? Steaming his own fedoras? Taking it upon himself to paint historical inaccuracies into the background scenery, rather than paying someone else to do the dirty work? Scouring every bloody antique shop along the Boise to find a suitable replacement for a mangy musical tchotchke?

He could write these losses off on his taxes. But losing the Starclef? Unacceptable!

Hello there! Happy Easter to all!

Guess what? I had so much fun painting Easter eggs this year! I painted some cracks on them again. One of the eggs got accidentally cracked by a clumsy pit droid! Well, at least Baby Yoda seems to enjoy this scene, and I hope you'll enjoy it too!

By the way, I had a hard time taking a good picture of it because we have snow right now. Nevertheless, I managed to capture a small piece of spring, so I'm happy with the result.

Star Wars in Star Trek

Not as long ago or far away as you might think

That's the Millennium Falcon helping out against the Borg in Star Trek: First Contact

R2D2 among the debris and bodies over Vulcan in Star Trek (2009)

They must have rescued him and made him a crewmember, because here's R2 getting sucked into space when engineering is hit in Star Trek Into Darkness (CG for Star Trek movies was usually done by Industrial Light and Magic, who also did Star Wars, and director JJ Abrams would go on to direct 2 Star Wars movies)

I can't make it out, but Memory Alpha says these two graphics (from TNG "Measure of a Man" and DS9 "A Man Alone") list Alderaan as a planet in the Trek universe

One of these is a Breen from Deep Space Nine. The other is Princess Leia in disguise. I'm not 100% sure which is which I just know Star Wars did it first and someone on DS9 liked the look

Among a half dozen other unauthorised crossovers, Barbara Hambly's novel Ishmael has a "scruffy looking spice smuggler" get into a scuffle on page 13

In David Mack's Vanguard: Precipice, there's a teardrop-shaped ship with a pod on one side described on page 74

I'm also pretty sure a Star Wars planet or two was snuck into the 1980 Star Trek Maps

Haha yup! The turbo dogs saga is one of the most fun/ridiculous things I've drawn fandom-wise, but I'm glad the Jedi Survivor fandom is having fun with it :D
