Strifehart story idea:

I love totally functioning and loving relationship Strifehart, but I also like 'worked really hard to get to that point' strifehart. I don't think it was easy for either of them to be vulnrable with eachother; they are both increadibly closed off and somewhat cold as people. So I've been formulating this slow-ish burn fic that I want on opinion on?

So it starts with Tifa and Cloud deciding to stay in Radient Gardens after the events of KH2. Cloud's been searching for Zack, which has led him down more dark paths than is strictly healthy and he decides to stay for a while and help Tifa set up her new bar.

Along the way he somehow gets pulled into helping with the RGRC (by Aerith and Yuffie) and via this has a proper introduction with Squall. They work together on some projects and get along well enough in so much as they like the fact that they can work in the same room together in silence and not irritate each other.

One night they are up late working on the new hydroelectric power generator for the city hall. When they finally finish Leon suggests Cloud crash in his spare room instead of dragging himself all the way to seventh heaven across town. Cloud accepts and when they get in Squall offers him a drink and they sit and chat for a while.

Niether of them know what led them to kiss. It wasn't the 'mood of the moment' and they certainly weren't drunk, but they do kiss, and then in a move neither of them saw coming they end up sleeping together.

Cloud is out of the house before the sun rises the next morning, and Squall doesn't feel bothered by it. But then it keeps happening. Never at work, and always in Squalls house, never Clouds apartment. Cloud is always gone before Squall is awake, and they never ever talk about it, or even reference it in passing.

Thing's start to get complicated however, when Cloud decides that he's spent enough time 'playing house' and needs to go back out to make sure Sephiroth is still discorporated, and to search for any signs of when happened to Zack.

Squall is...

Squall is bothered by it. Not by Cloud looking for Zack, He knows thats long and complicated and not his business anyhow. He's not the Jelous type, and he's certainly not going to be jelous over a relationship he doesn't even have! But he finds himself feeling strangly hollow when he turns around and Cloud is not there in his office, or on construction sights.

He starts thinking about it more and more; agonisisng over the fact that when he's alone in bed, while he knows Cloud is on a different world, he can feel Cloud's absence next to him. It drives Squall mad.

It takes a while for him to figure out that he's falling for Cloud and when Cloud finally comes back, waking up without him there after their nights together starts to hurt. He wonders if he's letting himself be used, and the voice in the back of his head that sounds an awful lot like Rinoa tells him 'if he feels like that he needs to talk to Cloud'.

In true Squall Leonhart fashion however he doesn't and it begins to fester. Until one night when Squalls at home and can't sleep, he is pulled from his brooding over the kettle by a knock at the door.

It's two o'clock in the morning, everyone in the city is usually asleep by now, yet when he opens the door he find's Cloud, glassy eyed and frightened. He immidiatly ushers the other man in, checking him over and getting him to sit on the couch.

it doesn't take long to realise whats happened. Aerith and Tifa had warned all of them that Cloud's mental health was delicate. Squall had seen him have episodes before, but they were usually short bursts of forgetfulness; moments where Cloud would become agitated by not remembering what he'd done with a tool. This was something wholey more frightening.

Cloud didn't know why he'd come to Squall or what had caused him to feel he had to seek someone out. There were lucid moments where he'd answer to his name and others where he would look straight through Squall when the man called to him.

Squall eventually gets Cloud to lie down in the spare room, but after about an hour Cloud is up and crawling into Squalls bed and Squall doesn't know what to do to offer comfort except let Cloud sleep holding his hand; letting him hear Squalls breathing and his heart beat.

The next morning Cloud wakes to the smell of warm coffee and omlette. He tries to emotionally unvailable his way out of the door but Squall won't let him get away with it. in hind sight he could probably overpower Squall but that irritating ache thats been in his heart since he started sleeping with the man makes him stay.

Squall won't let up on the hard stares over breakfast and Cloud refuses to elaborate on what happened. Eventually they come to a stalemate and have to go to work.

but something changes between them. There's still a distinct lack of communication. Squall still feels like he's letting himself be used and its beginning to hurt more than he is willing to admit. Cloud is still fighting against every molicule in his body over how fast he's fallen for Squall. However, there is no Denying things are different.

Their eye's linger on each other now, where they hadn't before. Cloud at least lets Squall wake up before he leaves. people notice that they move differently with eachother, and Aeirth thinks thier secretly dating and she teases a very distressed Cloud over it until she realises that he looks like he wants to cry, but doesn't

Their frequent meetings don't exactly "change". They still have sex, Cloud still leaves, and they still don't adress it even inside the walls of Squalls house.

The fact that some nights they have to stop because Cloud has started crying is new though. Squall is always the one who puts a stop to it because he can see quite clearly that Cloud is incredibly vulnrable. Its scary to watch because Cloud doesn't cry. It's scary for Cloud too because he doesn't cry.

the whole thing comes to a head when Cloud turns up one night looking badly beaten. He'd picked a fight with a hearless swarm while looking for clues on Zack and ended up having to crawl through a dark corridor just to escape. He's unconcerned for his own state of being and Squalls had it with him. He drags Cloud into the bathroom and rants and raves at him while cleaning him up and casting healing spells over broken ribs.

He yells about how stupid and reckless and dumb you have to be to go up against a swarm on your own. He yells about the fact that Cloud has spent too long being allowed to get away with all this stupid behaviour and that he's going to get himself killed and...

"And how do you think I'll feel huh? when you die and I'm just here waiting for you to come back like the stupid fucking idiot that I am! when I'm sat here fucking wondering why the hell I let myself fall in love with you. God I'm so fucking stupid, this is ridiculous, I'm just convenient for you and I should be fine with that, but I'm not and its just so FUCKING STUPID!"

The door to the cabinet gets slammed so hard it comes off of a hinge, and suddely Cloud is staring at Squall who has dropped to a crouch, hands still holding on to the counter above him, as he lets out a scream of fustration that he muffles betreen his forearms.

Cloud is so dumb struck that he can only slip off of the counter, and kneel on the floor to hug Squall from behind.

After that they finally talk about what they've been doing. Its not easy; both of then have never been masters of the spoken word, but they realise that they've both been hurting eachother without realising it. Cloud by leaving Squall alone to feel used, and Squall by not seeing that Clouds tears and vulnrability was a plea to be more to him.

They discuss bounderies and ways they can communicate better. They talk about moving past just sleeping together and attempting something like a relationship. They negotiate likes and dislikes, needs and wants, hopes and fears.

In short they start the long road to being a functional and healthy couple.

part 3 life with the new baby

Zack was in the middle of making a cup of coffee when he heard the unmistakable cry of his infant daughter, Bernadette.

He turned to look at her crib and saw her waving her tiny arms and legs, her face contorted in a squall.

"Oh no," Zack muttered under his breath, setting down the coffee mug and walking over to the crib. "What's the matter, Beanie?" he cooed, picking her up.

(Y/n) had just stepped out of the bathroom, her hair damp from her shower. She had a towel wrapped around her body and a second one wrapped around her hair. Hearing Bernadette's cries, (Y/n) walked into the room.

"Sounds like someone's grumpy," she said, a small smile on her face as she approached Zack and their baby.

Zack chuckled as he gently rocked Bernadette in his arms, trying to soothe her. "Yeah, she's not too happy right now." He turned to (Y/n), his gaze roaming over her wrapped-up form. He couldn't help but feel a pang of attraction at the sight, even as he tried to focus on his crying child.

(Y/n) chuckled and approached Zack, peeking down at Bernadette in his arms. "What's the matter, hmm?" she cooed, gently caressing her baby's head.

She glanced up at Zack, catching him staring at her. A small smirk played on her lips as she raised an eyebrow at him. "You're supposed to pay attention to the baby, remember?" she teased, her voice laced with humor.

Zack laughed sheepishly, his gaze shifting from (Y/n) back to Bernadette. "Sorry, sorry. It's just a little difficult when my wife is looking so... distracting," he quipped, a mischievous smile on his face.

He continued to rock Bernadette in his arms, but his eyes kept darting back to (Y/n), admiring her wrapped-up form.

(Y/n) rolled her eyes playfully, a smirk still on her lips. "Oh, save your flattery for later, mister," she retorted.

She reached out and gently took Bernadette from him, carefully cradling their baby in her arms.

"I was in the middle of my shower," she said, her tone still light. "But someone couldn't resist getting my attention," she teased, glancing down at Bernadette, who hadn't stopped crying, clearly hungry.

Zack scratched the back of his head with a guilty look on his face, embarrassed to have been caught. "Hey, can you blame me? It's not my fault you're so damn distracting," he said, his smile widening.

He watched as (Y/n) took Bernadette from his arms, his eyes once again straying to her wrapped-up form. He couldn't help but notice the towel around her, clinging to her curves.

He shook his head, quickly attempting to distract himself by turning his attention back to the crying baby.

(Y/n) sat down on the couch, shifting Bernadette into a comfortable position. She removed the towel from around her chest, leaving her partially exposed.

As Bernadette latched onto (Y/n)'s breast and started feeding, Zack's gaze inadvertently returned to (Y/n)'s form.

(Y/n) glanced over at Zack, catching him staring once again. She gave him a half-amused, half-exasperated look. "You're still doing it," she chided, her tone light.

Zack let out a sheepish chuckle, his cheeks slightly flushed as he realized he had been caught again. "Sorry, sorry. I just can't help it," he admitted, offering a guilty smile.

He leaned against the wall, watching (Y/n) feed Bernadette with a mix of affection and sheepishness.

(Y/n) shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "You have a one-track mind, you know that?" she quipped.

Bernadette continued to feed, her little hands clinging to (Y/n)'s bare skin. (Y/n)'s attention was fully focused on their baby, her gaze fixed on Bernadette with a mixture of love and concentration.

Zack chuckled, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Hey, I can't help it if my wife is so damn beautiful," he said, his eyes drifting from (Y/n)'s face down to her bare chest and the baby latched onto her.

He took a few steps closer, sitting down on the couch next to them. He watched (Y/n) feed and care for their daughter, his heart swelling with affection for both of them.

(Y/n) glanced up at Zack as he settled next to her on the couch. She could see the fondness in his eyes as he watched her feed Bernadette.

"You know, you could be more helpful instead of ogling me," she teased, her tone light.

Zack scooted a little closer and rested his chin on (Y/n)'s shoulder, trying to be more helpful. "Is there anything I can do?" he asked, now trying to pay attention to the baby.

(Y/n) chuckled, sensing his attempt to be more attentive. She leaned into him slightly, enjoying the closeness.

"There's not much to do," she said, pausing briefly as Bernadette shifted a little, still feeding hungrily. "Just keep me company," she added, a small smile on her face.

Zack nodded, wrapping his arm around (Y/n)'s shoulders and pulling her closer. He rested his head against hers, watching as Bernadette fed hungrily.

"I can definitely do that," he said, his voice low and soft.

(Y/n) leaned into him, enjoying the feeling of his arm around her and his head against hers. She appreciated the warmth and comfort his presence provided.

She fed Bernadette quietly for several moments, the room filled with the soft noise of their baby's contented suckling and the occasional soft hiccup.

(Y/n) glanced over at Zack, her expression softening as she took in his relaxed smile. "You look happy," she commented quietly.

Zack continued to hold (Y/n) close, his fingers idly tracing patterns on her bare shoulder, where the towel wasn't covering.

He returned her glance, his smile widening at her observation. "Yeah, I am," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "I have everything I could ever want right here."

(Y/n)'s skin tingled at the gentle touch of his fingers on her bare shoulder. It was a simple gesture, but it sent a pleasant shiver through her.

Her heart fluttered at his words, and a warm feeling spread through her chest. "You're such a sap," she said softly, a hint of teasing in her tone, but a genuine smile on her face.

Zack laughed sheepishly at (Y/n)'s teasing. "Guilty as charged," he admitted, his fingers continuing to trace gentle patterns on her shoulder.

He turned his head slightly to place a soft kiss on her exposed shoulder before lifting his gaze back up to her face. "But you love it, admit it," he said, a playful smirk on his face.(Y/n) couldn't resist a small sigh as his lips touched her bare shoulder. He had a way of making her both roll her eyes and melt simultaneously.

She feigned a huff of protest before responding. "Maybe a little," she said, a hint of a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "But I'm not going to feed your ego."

Zack let out another chuckle, reveling in the small way he affected her.

"Too late," he teased, his fingers continuing to graze softly over her skin. "You've already fed my ego plenty. But it can always use a little extra attention."

He shifted slightly closer to her, resting his chin back on her shoulder and nuzzling his face into her neck.

(Y/n) rolled her eyes playfully, a small smile on her face as his fingers continued to roam over her skin.

"Ugh, you're incorrigible," she replied, her tone light. But she couldn't deny she loved him. Bernadette finished her feeding and popped off (Y/n)'s breast, Zack chuckled at her reaction.

"Hey, it's not my fault you married me," he said, a mischievous gleam in his eyes.

(Y/n) handed Bernadette over to Zack with a playful sigh. "Here, your turn," she said, trying to hide her amusement at their banter. "Burp rags are in the usual spot."

Once Zack had Bernadette securely in his arms, (Y/n) stood up from the couch and began walking towards their bedroom.

Zack carefully took Bernadette in his arms, supporting her head and back. He gently patted her on the back, hoping to coax out a burp.

He glanced up as (Y/n) got up from the couch and began walking away. A mischievous smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.

"Where are you going?" he asked, a hint of curiosity in his voice.

(Y/n) paused, turning to look at Zack with a smirk of her own. "To put on some actual clothes, silly," she replied, gesturing to the towel around her body.

She started walking backwards, slowly making her way towards their bedroom. "I can't exactly walk around naked all day," she added, seriousness in her voice.

Zack chuckled, his gaze drifting down to the towel wrapped around her body. He couldn't deny he liked the view, but he knew she had a point.

"Right," he said, still gently patting Bernadette's back. "Can't blame a guy for admiring the view while it lasts though, right?" he added, a wicked grin on his face.

Then Bernadette decided to throw up all over him.

Zack let out a surprised yelp, instinctively holding her away from his chest. He looked down at his shirt, now covered in baby sick.

"Oh, come on! Seriously?" he exclaimed, looking up at (Y/n) with a mixture of disbelief and slight disgust on his face.

(Y/n) couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight of Zack covered in baby sick. The whole situation was gross, but she couldn't help but find humor in it.

"Oh my," she said, still giggling. "She got you good." running off to actually get dressed.

Zack grumbled under his breath as he held Bernadette at a slight distance, trying not to get any more baby sick on himself.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up," he muttered, his shirt now ruined from the projectile infant vomit. "It's not that funny..." he added, though a hint of a smile tugged at the corners of his lips, betraying his true feelings.

Bernadette let out a little contented burble, completely oblivious to the mess she had just made. She had the audacity to look up at Zack with wide innocent eyes like she hadn't just covered him in baby vomit.

Zack rolled his eyes at Bernadette's innocent expression, his annoyance at the situation slightly softening seeing her little face.

"Yeah, yeah, I know you didn't do it on purpose," he said, his voice a mixture of resignation and affection. "But seriously, kid, the timing couldn't have been worse..."

As if on cue, Bernadette suddenly had a big poo explosion in her diaper, it shooting up the back of her diaper, and all over her clothes.

Zack's eyes widened in shock. "Oh, come on!" he exclaimed again, holding her out even further at arm's length. "This can't be happening right now," he said, a mix of disgust and slight helplessness in his voice.

(Y/n), now fully dressed in a clean pair of pants and t-shirt, returned to the living room just in time to witness the disaster. Her hand flew to her mouth to cover her mouth in an attempt to hide her laughter.

"Oh my goodness, Zack," she said through her laughter. "I told you it was your turn. Now suffer."

Zack looked up at (Y/n) as she returned, a defeated expression on his face, surrounded by a scene of baby vomit and excrement.

"Yeah, yeah, it's my turn all right," he muttered, holding Bernadette carefully away from his chest. "I'm starting to think this is some kind of cosmic payback for something I did wrong in the past."

(Y/n) couldn't help but burst out laughing again at the sight. It was truly comedic.

"Oh, come on, don't be so dramatic, Zack," she said, trying to sound sympathetic, but still failing to stop laughing. "It's just a little puke and baby poop." She wasn't going to help him clean it up, it was his turn after all.

Zack shot (Y/n) a glare, not appreciating her laughter at his expense.

"A little puke? A little poo?" he protested, gesturing to the state of both him and Bernadette. "It's all over me! She needs a bath, and so do I."

(Y/n) finally calmed down her laughter and approached Zack and Bernadette. "It's all part of the wonderful experience of Parenthood." she teased, a small smile on her face. "Just go take a shower and take her with you."

Zack grumbled under his breath as (Y/n) approached, still visibly annoyed at the situation."Yeah, yeah, part of the 'wonderful experience,'" he repeated sarcastically. "You're finding this too amusing, you know that?"

He looked at Bernadette, then back at (Y/n). "Fine. A shower it is then," he muttered.

(Y/n) chuckled again, "I can't help it. You look hilarious right now." She tried to hold in her laughter again.

She took Bernadette from him, and then gestured towards the bathroom. "Go start the shower and I'll bring in Bernadette after I get the poo under control."

Zack rolled his eyes at (Y/n)'s comment but knew there was no point arguing about it. "Whatever you say," he muttered reluctantly.

He walked off towards the bathroom, starting the shower and making sure the water was a comfortable temperature. After a few moments, he poked his head out to check on (Y/n)'s progress.

(Y/n) had been working on getting Bernadette's dirty diaper off and cleaning up the mess when Zack stuck his head out of the bathroom. She glanced up at him.

"Almost done," she said. "Just give me a couple more minutes and I'll bring her in."

Zack nodded in acknowledgment, going back into the bathroom to wait. While he waited, Zack began taking off his shirt, the baby sick now beginning to dry on the fabric.

After a few minutes, Zack decided to just get in washing himself off, knowing (Y/n) would bring Bernadette in a moment.

(Y/n) carried Bernadette into the bathroom. He had already started the shower, the water running into the tub. Zack was in the shower, the water streaming down his back. Bernadette babbled happily at the sight of her daddy, her tiny hands reaching out to grab at the air.

"Alright, take your baby." (Y/n) held Bernadette out towards Zack.

Zack had been standing under the water, trying to clean off the baby sick from his skin, when (Y/n) entered with Bernadette. Seeing his daughter's happy expression and her reaching out to him made him smile in spite of the situation.

He chuckled and reached out to take Bernadette from (Y/n), holding her carefully under the warm spray of water.

(Y/n) took a moment to admire the scene. Zack holding Bernadette under the water as the baby laughed and splashed happily. It was actually a sweet sight, if you ignore the reason they were in the shower in the first place.

(Y/n) walked over to the sink, grabbing a washcloth and some baby soap to start cleaning Bernadette's tiny body.

Zack let Bernadette splash and giggled as much as she wanted, enjoying her carefree moment even in the midst of a chaotic situation. His muscular arms held her securely as the water cascaded down them both, washing away the baby vomit.

He looked over to (Y/n) as she approached with the washcloth and soap. "You know, you could join us in here," he teased, a sly smirk on his face.(Y/n) rolled her eyes playfully. "I already showered and don't need to get in again," she said, amused by his suggestion.

She started to wash Bernadette's tiny arms and legs, her touch gentle and loving."We're supposed to be cleaning, not fooling around," she replied, the hint of a smile on her lips.

Zack chuckled at her response but didn't push the matter. Instead, he focused on his daughter, making silly faces as he held her under the spray of water. "Guess it's just you and me, Beanie." He cooed at Bernadette.

Bernadette squirmed and giggled as the water cascaded over her tiny body. She splashed her hands and feet, sending little droplets flying through the air. Watching Zack interact with his daughter never failed to make (Y/n) smile. It was moments like these that made the chaotic situations worthwhile.

(Y/n) finished cleaning Bernadette's tiny body, gently running the washcloth over her soft skin.

Zack continued to make faces and silly noises, enjoying Bernadette's playful reactions. As (Y/n) continued to clean her, he started a little game. He'd take one of Bernadette's little feet in his hand and pretend to nibble on it, tickling her just enough to generate a small squawk of laughter.

"Oh, I'm gonna get your feet!" he exclaimed, playing the part of the villainous daddy. "You can't escape!"

Bernadette squealed and laughed as Zack playfully attacked her tiny feet. Her little body writhed and giggled, trying to get away from the tickles.

(Y/n) couldn't help but laugh as she observed the scene. It was cute how Zack could make anything fun, even something as simple as bath time.

"Don't you think you're tormenting the poor baby a little too much?" she said jokingly, watching the game play out.

"Too much? Nah," Zack replied, grinning as he continued the playful attack on Bernadette's feet. "She's giggling and smiling, isn't she? She's loving it." He gently lifted one of her feet up to his mouth and planted a light kiss on it, making a exaggerated smacking sound.

"See? I'm being extra gentle. I'm being a model daddy here..." he said, winking over at (Y/n).

(Y/n) chuckled at Zack's response, "Oh yes, a model daddy indeed," she said, sarcasm in her voice, though her grin was playful.

Bernadette seemed entertained by the little game, her baby laughter filling the bathroom as she tried to pull her foot out of Zack's hand.

"I'm going to start lunch," (Y/n) said, as she headed towards the door. "Don't stay in for too long."

Zack laughed as Bernadette pulled her foot away, making a mock surprised face. "Oh, she's getting feisty now," he said before nodding in acknowledgment to (Y/n)'s departure.

"Alright, alright, I'll be out soon," he said, returning his attention back to the baby. 

(Y/n) walked out of the bathroom, leaving Zack to continue playing with Bernadette while she started preparing lunch. The sound of laughter and splashing water from the bathroom put a small smile on her face.

She couldn't ask for more.

FF x Disney?

Right now, I think the weakest aspect of KH is the original characters and plot. I don't leaning more into FF more would fix that. It would just be a bigger reminder of that flaw.

However, I'd be up for Noctis meeting Oswald the lucky rabbit, Zack teaming up with Max Goof and Webby from Ducktales, and a Squall and Mickey prequel to KH1.

not in that order but you get the idea.

kH was my intro to FF but FF took its place in my heart. im fine with more FF games instead of FF having a bigger role in KH.

With Opera Omnia shutting down, I decided to make a few posts about one of my favorite parts of the game: The Burst Weapons. Guys! The time has finally come! The moment we have all been waiting for! THE Final Fantasy X scene. That moment that every shipper knows. We have finally reached the famous underwater Kiss-scene ♥ (What a way to end 2022!)

I always found it fascinating how her reaction was. She said she wasn’t sad about the stuff he said and yet, she looked happy when she found out he knew. Probably because she was glad she wasn’t the one who had to tell him or watch him let the realisation sink in. I mean, imagine Yuna being there, when Tidus had his little breakdown, that would have been painful to her. This way, he had time to come to terms with it before facing her and she knows now that she can go on with him by her side, without having to keep secrets from him anymore.

I think in that very moment, were she was sad and frustrated about everything that went wrong on her journey so far,, she really wanted to give in to that thought of having a normal life. Not having a dead-sentence hanging over her head. Not being on a rush to reach Zanarkand, even tho the journey is long and hard and she missed out on things like watching the moonflow glow at night, but just enjoy her life instead.

She had always been planning to become a summoner and save the world from Sin... so she never had the luxury to imagine what a “normal life” for her would look like or what she would wish for it would be like. You know, all those silly dreams girls her age have, of a romantic marriage with your first love and living in a house with a bunch of kids and stuff... Yuna never was supposed to have a future and imagining one if you know you can’t have it, especially when you are sacrificing your life, would be cruel to oneself... maybe even hinder her. But now, for that fleeting moment, she finally gave in to imagine what it would be like.

Look how simple the life is she imagined. Going with Tidus to his Zarkand so she can cheer him on in a blitzball game and just watch a pretty sunset together. It seems to be nothing special, but for her, its more then she ever could have hoped for - and not just because it is just not THAT easy to reach Tidus Zanarkand, but more so because she doesn’t have the luxury of the time to party at Tidus place and watch a pretty sunset just for the sake of watching it. Its a beautiful imagine of an ordinary life with Tidus, but...

...in the end it was just a fleeting dream of a future that Yuna would love to have, but can’t have because she can just not give up her pilgrimage. She can’t be that selfish. She always just wanted to bring Spira that little time of peace and happiness. Even with Yevon turning its back on her, she still can’t leave the people of Spira hanging. She is not the type of person who runs to Zanarkand and has fun, while the people in Spira are living in fear. She wants to. She wants it so badly right now. That is why she is crying. But that is just not the person she is... and I guess in the end Tidus saw that coming.

It might not be able to stand against FF7R but I still think that to this day, 20 years later, this games CGI-Scenes were amazingly pretty.

A good lovestory is something Final Fantasy often lacks these days. Heck, thinking back at the other Final Fantasy games, older and newer I can  not remember EVERY having such a beautiful lovestory at all. Final Fantasy 9 was the closest we got to a nice lovestory and even that was kind of lacking. Final Fantasy 6 has an awful idea of a lovestory. Final Fantasy 7 to this freaking days, 30 years later or so, Square Enix can not decided if they want Cloud with Aerith or Tifa or both or one of them after the other one dies... or do we prefer Aeriths with Zack anyway? Its a mess and its a bad mess on top of it! Final Fantasy 8 thought they could pull it of with that second hand lovestory that didn’t make much sense nor did Squall and Rinoa ever fit with each other! Final Fantasy 12 lacked romance so much that one almost missed the ships that were actually there, because the plot was so long and political and everything was so complicated that there was just no time for romance. Final Fantasy 13... was the game were almost EVERYONE ship that ship that was never intended to be a ship and almost no one like the actual intended ship. Heck, the only reason Ligtning Returns selled at all, was because SE had to give in and give the Hopurai-Shippers their shipping hints, because there were far too many people who prefered Sarah with Noel, despite him having his own ship. Vanille and Fang were extremely toned down and yet still more liked then Snow and Sarah. That is how bad that actual main-ship was. Final Fantasy 15 thought they were oh-so-romantic with the childhood-friends-trope and the whole “love-letter” via book kind of idea but you had to try REALLY hard to get into that ship to actually like it, because - aside from the ending - the only interaction between them were they were both conscious was a freaking smile from far away. And in Final Fantasy 16, we apparently have a sex-scene coming our way. That speaks for the “sex sells” - kind of desperate measures to me. I wouldn’t be surprised if we actuall just F*** a whore in a brother instead of at least having a lovestory. And maybe its better that freaking way, because Final Fantasy 10 seemed to have been the only Final Fantasy with a lovestory that was worth swooning over.

I love how innocent and pure that scene was. One could have easily turned that into an underwater hot makeout almost sex-scene or something, but instead they made something adorable out of it and it just fits this ship so wonderfully. I mean, I love me some smut like many other people do, but there are ships out there that aren’t meant for some horny smut scene. These two caressed each others face and hold hand and just exchange a few pure kisses. And that is so wonderful ♥

Isn’t it wonderful? (Did you get that? XD) But I am serious. This scene is just absolutely beautiful. And I mean not just how it looks, but the whole package. The music, the way the characters interact and how that fits their relationship and their story so well. A true masterpiece this game...

Even this part works out so well. Because that is how their relationship is. Beautiful, but bittersweet. Even tho thinks will turn out differently from how Yuna thought, there still will be an end.

It was so cute ♥ I love how shy she was at first. I am sure even something as simple as that, holding hands, was something she never imagined she would have. And yet, at least that moment of happiness was given to her.
