this is probably the most detailed thing ive ever drawn i feel so insane,, keep reading for some of the details you might have missed!!

first the shelf:

1st layer: shenyu and ganyu framed childhood pics

2nd layer: suspensus somium mechanism (furniture from xianyun's sq), the cloud retainer pet, the windmill thing from xianyun's trailer, the one she gave ganyu

3rd layer: scrolls and books one of them labeled "baby pics"

4th later: sunglo tea (the tea xianyun bought during the lantern rite event)

the side of the shelf has postcards from chenyu vale, and the kite shenhe and ganyu made leaning on it

i tried my best to make the game as accurate and detailed as possible, ping is winning only waiting for the 三萬 tile (which is the one xianyun is discarding), ping also has a kong which is more points afaik (ty for the info poppy <3) mountain shaper is losing bc he has no consecutive tiles or 3 tiles of a kind. zhongli and ping also have flowers which also gives them extra points. this is all based on how me and my family would play mahjong so if its not accurate,, idk HADFAJSDF also i didn't count all the tiles bc there are 144 and i want this piece to be detailed but not THAT detailed,, anyway THAT'S ALL <3 i spent around 3 days working on this it's kinda insane.

victor madness combat masterpost

everything we know about victor, a co-op exclusive project nexus character

theres a lot of things people dont know about them!! like their connection with the maker, how they interact with the audience, etc. however this information is intentionally kept obscure for narrative reasons (ill explain later) so its understandable if you didnt know about this

full post under the cut since its long ==v

SECTION 1: BURGER GILS

the first appearance of victor was on the official burger gils website, under the "updates" section

the first news update, #207, says that rich (a character we see in "power play") is no longer the employee of the month, thus giving the title to victor.

the next prominent update is #209, which states victor has mysteriously gone missing and gil is setting up a hotline for their return.

judging by the next and final update alluding to the fall of nexus city, and that they can "finally open their doors" due to health inspectors being inoperable, we can assume victor went missing beforehand since the restaurant was functioning at the time of the hotline being released.

the reason for their disappearance is still unknown, but that can lead us into the next and more important section:

SECTION 2: THE MAKER (YES, REALLY)

victor, by the laws of the universe, is not meant to exist in nevada. they are an anomaly.

similarly to the maker, they are likely trying to avoid being spotted by the machine or some other "indestructible nightmare".

we learned in a stream that the maker talks to victor, and won't allow their "story" to be told.

"maybe vic, but his story can't be told. the maker won't allow it. that's why the maker talks to vic all the time. he'll never get near the plot."

victor stays as far away from the narrative as possible, choosing to hide as a co-op exclusive character for MPN. krinkels always emphasizes that there's a meta reason for this. even in things like little doodles, victor seems to want to hide from the public eye.

victor reappeared after the city fell, and was found and taken into sq. there is a reason doc wanted victor to join sq, and that doc knows of their importance. however, krinkels wants to keep this part of the story untold too.

SECTION 3: PERSONALITY + ADDITIONAL MATERIAL

not much comments here since ill leave these up to interpretation. heres some dialogue + other things from them that show their personality.

What the hell is this? Is that rust from the salty air? This home, that will more than likely be reclaimed by the ocean, is a fixer-upper. 1955 build in La Jolla, CA has 5bds, 7ba, 5,129 sq ft, and the asking price for this mess is $20m. Oh, and there's no A/C, either. Take a look at what $20m gets you.

The home is really low. Look at how high the neighbor's house is. So, maybe if the lower part gets washed away, you can still live in the upper half?

That looks like a pool. So, according to the description, it's a little confusing: "This elevated abode comprises a splendid living room and kitchen, offering an independent retreat for entertaining. Two additional bedrooms open up to sweeping ocean views. Then, now that we clarified that, these are the outside stairs to the lower part of the home. So, I'm assuming that the lower home is for the owner. And, it's a mad, dated, fixer-upper.

Oh, look, they put a "fire" in the fireplace. So, the living room area is huge. It actually looks like you're right on the beach.

Then, stairs go up to a lofted area. The floor needs work. Why is the nail discoloration coming thru like that? Moisture?

Part of the flooring is gone here. The vents are for heat, only. There is no a/c. Maybe it's cool enough w/the ocean breeze?

A wide door opens to a small patio.

Used to be a beautiful home. Why would they board that up, maybe the glass is broken?

This looks like the dining room with a large sideboard. The mirror is broken, something is missing in the ceiling, and it looks moldy.

A bath. The rooms are so angular. It's dated, but doesn't look bad.

The Astrology of Fame: Jupiter and Pluto's Link to Superstardom

Jupiter expands and Pluto intensifies. When these two connect in the natal chart, something magical happens.

Note: Not everyone with a Jupiter/Pluto link is going to explode in popularity and become household names echoed around the world for decades to come. Not every star has the Jupiter/Pluto link, either. However, this is a theme I've (and others) have noticed more often than not in the charts of people who have had their breakthrough.

In the many charts I've seen, almost every single celebrity had an aspect to their Jupiter/Pluto midpoint OR Jupiter and Pluto connected through a different midpoint instead (i.e Jupiter conjunct Moon/Pluto midpoint). It seems to be a far more accurate and reoccurring marker than just a natal aspect between the two planets (though that shouldn't be ignored, either).

I believe long-time astrologer, Basil Fearrington, was the first to notice the link between wealth and the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint. Even though midpoints only tend to count when activated through a hard aspect (conjunction, square, and opposition), Basil surmised that the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint is so potent that even soft aspects should be considered.

The late and wonderful Marga, creator of Dutch astrology website "Astromarkt", took it a step further and said that the Jupiter/Pluto midpoint didn't even need to be activated. The two planets conjoining at all in any midpoint combination (or through natal aspects) was enough to generate immense potential for power and fame.

Soft aspects are not generally considered in midpoint astrology. The reasoning for that is because sextiles and trines require little to no effort. The owner of them may or may not ever put those talents to use, and thus the potential of certain aspects and midpoints may never get recognized. But I think that's underselling it a bit. We do use them, we're just not privy to honing them in the way we would a hard aspect.

Humans have a penchant for believing that suffering equals greater reward, therefore we're far more likely to try and understand then tame a Mars sq. Pluto and let the Venus trine Jupiter do its own thing in the background virtually untouched. Sometimes semi-squares and sesquiquadrates are taken into consideration in midpoint astrology, but their influence is weak. If they can get their day in the limelight, I'm also giving some to the sextile and trine. They obviously have a purpose or else the aspect wouldn't even exist.

Now if you'd like to check for this theme yourself, use Astro.com. The drop-down menu for "Chart drawing style" has two different midpoint options. Ebertin chart allows for a wider orb of up to 2°, but only shows major hard aspects. Keller has a much smaller orb, but also shows soft aspects and parallels/contra-parallels. I use both.

With the clerical info out of the way, let's gain more insight into the Jupiter/Pluto energy itself. Astrologer John Sandbach describes it as such:

A tremendous desire to learn and to grow, and to acquire power, be it of the more intangible, mental sort, or worldly in nature. Driving, unstoppable enthusiasm. A relentless urge toward excess. The ability to transform how things are organized. To have big ideas and far-reaching aims. Going to great extremes. The persistent urge to do whatever is needed to overcome problems. Grandiosity. Religious fanaticism.

Jupiter/Pluto promises a larger than life persona with strong intellect and passions to stitch it all together. Think not of just musicians, models, and actors, but of cult leaders, gourmands, CEO's, luxury jewelry salespeople, and even fine art collectors who amass the rarest of paintings. There is a salient and recognizable power and privilege. Clearly fame isn't the only highlight here.

But if you are fixated on fame, what kind are we even talking about? 15-second TikTok fame? One-hit wonders and Meghan Trainor's of the world who have a shelf life of 2 years then respawn 10 years later because of a viral tweet? Absolutely not. These are the stars you never forget who cannot be compared to others. Rather, others are compared to them. They set the standard and are known everywhere, even outside of their home country. They amass wealth, power, respect, and create a legacy.

From all of the midpoint combinations, Moon/Jupiter/Pluto was the most prevalent. For this post I personally combed through the midpoints of about 45 celebrities total with 30 making the cut here. The other ~15 did not have an active Jupiter/Pluto midpoint nor an active midpoint combination with them. What they did have was a natal aspect between the two planets in their chart, or Jupiter and Pluto both made an aspect to either their Sun, Moon, ASC, or MC within 7°.

If I had to speculate on short-term fame aka "fast rise, even faster fall", I'd wager those kinds of viral sensations have a transit hitting their Jupiter/Pluto midpoint instead, and the lack of natal support can only push it so far. This is something I have to do more research on.

So we start with a bit of Info about Perun that he's existence is unrecognisable and no people know much about him even people from his Homeworld since we'll because of his Rule

Despite Perun being the emperor of Kitezh and being its system there was one Peron who he never invaded and that is Veles. And Perun became infatuated with him especially after his death

changes

since we're nearing the end of the season and to celebrate my first year on tumblr 🥳, I thought it would be fitting to show all the changes my garden has been through in the last year and a half (and some links to the individual project's posts)!

the end of last summer, when I was still mostly in-ground with a few raised beds.

compared to today! in the last year, I've: - built a 100ft paver path through the side yard and into the front yard - built 12 raised beds for my vegetables from wood that I burned with a torch and oiled with tung oil (price and design info), and irrigated with drip tubing - built a grapevine arbor for the entrance of the garden area - cleared 1000+ sq ft of lawn and planted wildflowers in its place (which has since turned into a towering 12' high forest of cosmos, but there's some other stuff too!) - planted a native perennial garden with plants from a local native nursery, mulched and irrigated with a sprinkler setup - planted 30 evergreen border trees and 8 fruit trees (done before I made my blog)

more progress pictures below this doesn't even begin to touch all the seed starting, bug identifying, snake wrangling, garlic planting, pepper tasting, zucchini gifting, bird feeding, or fruit tasting that has given me so much joy in the last year. thanks to everyone for such a wonderful 2024 season, I can't wait for spring!

Random HC I have for the Ffvii characters but mostly Zack, Tifa and Cloud

(i say HC but its mostly canon info i collected then added my own spice to it)

Cloud prefers Cooler sleeping temperatures and you would see him walking out no jacket in like -10C. Zack think he is going to freeze to death

Zack thought that was a Cloud thing until he met Tifa and apparently, its just Mountain kids thing

both Cloud and Tifa love hiking so they will go first thing in the morning to hike the mountains

while Cloud drink his water in peace the other two would develop their hike trip to some kind of a challenge and Cloud will say come back rn or he is leaving them both

Generally, Zack, Cloud and Tifa have a clear way of speaking, but together their backwater dialects comes out full force

one time Cloud was only speaking in his thick Neibel accent and Zack had to decipher it as a game, Tifa was the judge 👩‍⚖️

Cloud can get competitive but its really the stubbornness that kicks in that keep him going. Tifa is the same (reference Nibel piano SQ) Zack isn’t stubborn he just never knows when to stop. So while Cloud and Tifa can act as a threshold for each other when you add Zack to the mix these hoes lose control and the safety pin flew out of the window

So, you want to get a tommy

Great! Tommys are wonderful creatures and full of personality. But there are things you should consider before getting them:

Tommys have a very long lifespan compared to dogs or cats- 35-40 years to be exact. A tommy is a big commitment and if you're on the older side you might even need to pass yours on to another family member.

Tommys are extremely energetic, overwhelmingly so. By the time I finish tiring out my tommys, I'm usually sweating and exhausted (love them though)

The most popular breed of tommy (dsmp or canon depending on who you ask) are significantly more prone to anxiety than other breeds. Please do not get one just because you've seen them online

Tommys have diets that may be upsetting to some people- they eat bugs and shellfish (and fruit), if you're upset by either, don't get one, please.

All that being said, here's a quick and dirty guide to getting your first tommy!

Choosing a tommy

There are lots of ways to choose a tommy, there's plenty of shelters to choose from and most house every kind of tommy. I recommend going in person and picking whichever you feel the closest to- but picking a specific breed is fine too! I'll leave a guide to the two breeds I know best (feel free to add info about other breeds)

DSMP/Canon - As previously stated, a very popular breed of tommy. They form strong bonds with owners and other pets and generally mix well with other popular mcyts such as tubbos and wilburs. However, they are easily startled and can be very messy due to being burrowers. They're also known to experience strong 'play aggression' and can accidentally injure others if they get too riled up.

Origin(s) - I know much less about this breed, but I still feel confident speaking on them as I have fostered origins tommys in the past. Origins tommys are much more mentally sound than dsmp breeds and do not have the major caveat of having to eat bugs as they are completely vegetarian! However, they do have minor flight abilities, which may be a turn-off for some owners.

Setting up your home for your tommy

Tommys need an outdoor area of at least 25 sq ft for digging and general enrichment. Tommys who are let outside unsupervised should be belled to prevent damage to the local ecosystem and the tommy themselves, as they have a bad habit of eating birds and squirrels, fur and bones, which they cannot digest.

All tommys need a small, private space to hide and rest in. A cardboard box will do just fine under most circumstances as long as it is large enough for your tommy to stretch out in to prevent claustrophobic anxiety (which dsmp tommys are especially prone to).

Lastly, tommys need chew toys. Chewing is their main way of relieving stress and expressing joy and not having a consistent outlet for it is extremely upsetting for them.

Additional advice

Tommys cannot swim and should not be let near bodies of water deeper than knee-height.

Dsmp tommys are terrified of heights and should not be placed on counters or tables.

Haematomma erythromma

One of the characteristics that *typically* defines crustose lichens is their slow rate of growth compared to fungi and other similar organisms. But measuring how slow they grow is complicated. It is hard to set up a study that lasts long enough to actually measure any noticeable growth, and to control for/measure the environmental factors that contribute to their growth, or to get a sample size big enough to account for environmental variables, etc. BUT just because it is difficult doesn't mean it hasn't been done! Between 1992 and 2012, researchers measured the growth rate of H. erythromma on an Antarctic Island by marking a 25 cm sq. plot with holes at the corners, and then placing a clear plastic sheet within these corners and tracing the outline of the lichen thalli! Isn't that clever? what they found was that H. erythromma only grew 0.2 to 0.7 mm/year! Sooooo very slow--one of the slowest measured in Antarctica! It was also found that it grew in an orientation against the wind, that separate patches often grew together, and that this species often grew over the top and outcompeted faster growing crustose species!
