Cold Sores - Spiritual Meaning

Since I was a child, every beginning of Winter, I would get a cold sore on my lip.

I’ve always hated it! Especially as a kid, because it was so embarrassing. Also, because it’s a form of herpes, kids can be cruel when they know that information.

I haven’t had a cold sore in over 2 years. However, this morning I seen one starting to form on my bottom lip.

I was so shocked because like I said it’s been a while since my last one.

So with that said, it got me thinking, like what is the spiritual meaning behind a cold sore? Or what is the spiritual connection to cold sores? What spiritual effect caused this on my lip?

So I started researching and came across some articles.

I found out:

In naturopathy, cold sores are also associated with a psychosomatic or spiritual meaning.

For example, the outbreak of herpes is believed to signify a mental blockage that individuals can potentially overcome by identifying the underlying cause and addressing it.

Accordingly, cold sores are thought to manifest primarily when conflicts remain unresolved and problems; for instance in relationships or at work, are not addressed.

I thought this was so funny and accurate.

Recently, I’ve been concerned about getting approved for my request I submitted to my job to still remain employed whilst moving out of state. I have been waiting weeks to get that information (stressed like crazy even though I’d already prayed on it.)

side note: I’m still working on not worrying after prayer and just leaving it to the creator and my spiritual guides work on it. 😅

But anyways, my job finally responded and denied my request. Then, I went on my first break and saw in the bathroom mirror that a cold sore was forming.

Isn’t it so crazy/interesting that our emotions, feelings, thoughts, can have a spiritual effect on us that eventually shows up in the physical realm?? (I.e DIS-eases, sickness, pain, etc)

Need some advice. I do want to mention, I am very new to this. Ive been reading lots of books, posts and watching videos. I consume all info with a grain of salt and just follow my intuition when it comes to what I do for my ancestors. I believe it’s been 15months since i initially felt called to connect with my ancestors. And only about 3 months since I started collecting items here and there to make an “Altar”. This is now the second time I have left flowers for my ancestors. I checked on the flowers this morning, the front half looks fresh but when I turned them and the back side is brown and dying. Im not sure if this means anything significant at all or it’s just time to change them out. But they’re going on 2 weeks now, with me refreshing the water and cleaning the vase.
