hey girliepops 🌝🫶 the recent Eternal Sugs design reveal reminded me of this old headcanon design I completely forgot about and I decided to clean up the doodles before the update for sillies 👍

The Hungry Horrors free demo is out now on Steam!

It’s our first ever Steam release – and we’re nervous, excited, and very sleep-deprived.

Hungry Horrors is a pixel art roguelite deckbuilder where you feed legendary monsters from British and Irish folklore instead of fighting them. Build your deck with traditional dishes like Yorkshire Pudding, Boxty, and Bara Brith. Each card is a meal, and every monster has their own taste.

Get it right? They let you pass.

Get it wrong? You become the next meal.

If you’re into:

• roguelites with actual strategy

• folklore, fairytales, and mythological creatures

• games like Slay the Spire or Hades

• cooking mechanics that aren’t just minigames

• grim but whimsical pixel art

…then you might just enjoy this.

The demo includes:

• 2 full biomes

• 6 unique monsters and 2 bosses

• over 20 traditional dishes

• deckbuilding, buffs, and branching paths

• and a really grumpy Buggane that hates potatoes

We’ve made everything in Godot, drawn every pixel in Aseprite, and poured our hearts (and stress) into getting this playable on Steam – including Mac, Linux, and Steam Deck.

OKAY, SO...

I created that poll in the morning and when I got home in the afternoon I saw that the majority of votes were on "create a new Pizza Tower AU", so I started working on that to save time, which is the pirate au idea I've talked about in October. I finish making sketches and create a possible story for Peppino, and I go to bed.

I wake up, eat breakfast, dress up and go out for work, open Tumblr to check the poll... And find out that at the end the winner is "Make some doodles about some Heavenly Spire designs".

I'm not mad about it, after all it was me who created the poll for my audience to decide on what to draw and it's about damn time that I work on Heavenly Spire after months of avoiding it lmao

Now I'll do my best to create some neat Pizzelle and Rosette imp designs. In the meantime enjoy this lil treat from Treasure Tower (that's the name of the new AU, I'll handle it in the future 👍🏻)

A shadow mil random data per night is a night of sweet dreams. There is books written by Shadow Milk somewhere out there. Probably under his name before corruption, covered in dirt and dust and maybe some of them already succumb to time. But they defenetly exist, and they hold a lot of interesting things in there. Some of them are investigation, some of them are more creative writting. There is a rumor that in the tower Spire of Deceit of true maybe many of those books and even a dairy of him are hidden... but hey, could only be some silly rumors
