I am honestly touched that somebody noticed? But uh, life got really hard, really fast. I'll drop it below the cut. The shortest version is: life sucker punched me right in the face. Like. A lot.

Earlier this year, suddenly, in very short order, I had to:

Grapple with my parents mortality. My moms legs stopped...legging. She went from needing a cane to needing a walker in a month. For a while we were facing the very real possibility of ALS. It's a sister disease, I'll spare you the details but it's something called CIPD instead, there is a treatment but no cure, and it's not cheap.

Fire my therapist. She chose to defend her political beliefs over my concerns, and that's all I'll say about that.

Come to terms with my aging dogs' needs. He's 15 now and doing great! But showing signs of canine dementia and going deaf and blind.

Accidentally becoming stage manager (called Head or Queen Kitten) for a burlesque show, perform in that same show and two other shows, with another in 3 weeks.

I slept a lot, but never got any rest.

Found a new therapist, but she's really good at, pardon the metaphor, ripping open old wounds so they'll heal clean.

Those are the big things, there's other piddly life stuff, you know. And I'm still slogging through it. But doing a bit better now.
