Also spent like an hour today talking with my partner about post-canon court dynamics and what Rayla would do if she stayed at court beyond just being on the council and

I honestly think she'd be great at being a spider.

Rayla doesn't have the mind for strategy that Callum does, and I think he's grown to be more skeptical like her in arc 2 so that's not exclusive to her either, but the main areas we see Rayla be underhanded about is 1) her lying and 2) her ability to be stealthy, combining both beautifully in 2x03 with the illusion plan. (It still doesn't entirely go according to plan and Corvus has to bail them out, but I digress.)

Like imagine visiting diplomats trying to strong arm Ezran into some kind of trade deal scuffle by citing 'bad weather' as an excuse, and both Callum and Rayla want to make sure it's True, so Rayla spies on them from the rafters / other locations in the castle, collecting gossip and schemes as she goes. Then she reports back to Callum, firstly, who sometimes steps in to threaten them handle it himself directly, and/or to Ezran when it's a more neutral matter, and it Freaks People out because how did they know?? It pays to have a Moonshadow elf on your side is all

something something Rayla being known as the boys' (particularly Callum's) shadow, about her dropping silently from her hiding spots or showing up out of nowhere (and regularly spooking Soren on accident), Rayla growing in patience because she can hoard secrets and make herself useful even if the conversations she overhears are so regularly dull, Rayla never really being a princess and never really being thought of as one within her own kingdom's fortifications, and anyone who makes that mistake also outside Katolis soon learns exactly why people are wary of her (and her husband's ire)

Callum a été mordu par une araignée, il est devenu spiderman. Bon plus sérieusement, c'est intriguant de voir comment la magie noire est vu comme une sorte de trou noir. Car oui Callum a son côté sombre mais ça se résulte pas que à l'utilisation de la magie noire ! Il dort de moins en moins et perd patience plus facilement ou il est juste fatigué. J'ai bien aimé le fait que l'étoile de Rayla le guide pour lui faire comprendre sa vérité, leur permettant enfin de s'embrasser.

Callum was bitten by a spider and became Spiderman. On a more serious note, it's intriguing to see how dark magic is seen as a kind of black hole. Yes, Callum has his dark side, but it's not just the use of dark magic! He sleeps less and less and loses his patience more easily, or he's just tired. I liked the fact that Rayla's star guides him to understand his truth, allowing them to kiss at last.
