hey does anyone have any soup recommendations for beginners. like. theoretically if I had never tried any soup other than tomato before. and also every other soup seems kind of gross to me and I am scared of most vegetables. and also “chunks in liquid” sounds kind of gross….. but like I really enjoy soup as a concept???? and wish I could enjoy it more for real. but ohhgghhhh ohh it’s so scary.
basically does anyone have any suggestions for super simple, tasty soup to try that might be suitable for someone with a lot of sensory issues??? no chunks or minimal is a bonus but I understand it’s not always common. I just want to be part of your world… (soup world)

i have successfully made malanga fritters from In Stars and Time and God are they good bros
#in stars and time#food#i tried making them literally right after we discovered. what they Were. and that they were siffrin's favorite thing ever#and they were good! but not blows your mind kind of good. no heavenly smell. just normal smell#i tried a second attempt with giraumon (or rather. an acorn squash. close enough) and also onion and vinegar n spices#bc all the recipes i found were all Different and i wanted to figure out what to do personally#and that attempt was a horrific failure and it was right before my friend and i were streaming another episode and i was so sad#i realized that the addition of new ingredients introduced too much water and it was way too wet#even after draining a lot of the liquid it couldn't really be saved#also i think the oil was too hot. i nearly did the same thing here but i turned it down before they got too burnt#but yeah! i'll try at least one more time with the squash again but i wanted to get the flavors right#and the secret was Adobo Seasoning#i still am on the fence abt putting in vinegar cuz. having mayo as a dipping sauce really elevates it djdgdjd#it's creamy and has the vinegar acidic bite to it that this needs! and it's so good dude#i did make these ones pretty salty though. whoops dhdgdj they were undersalted last time and now it's too much lol

I just finished grating 4 Italian cheeses, parmesan reggiano, pecorino romano, caccicavallo, and asiago, making sautéed mushrooms, and frying up some chicken. My back hurt so I decided to wait until tomorrow to make an Alfredo sauce from the aforementioned cheeses. I'm gonna use it to make a delightful white pizza. Instead of making a pizza with my homemade dough right now, I decided to make my version of an Italian open faced grilled cheese sandwich with all of the other ingredients and some thinly sliced white onions. I'm am very happy with the way this sauceless pizza turned out. It was delicious 😋 I never before used real asiago as a main component in my cooking. It is really strong and funky. It is delicious 😋 I can't wait to make a real white pizza with Alfredo sauce tomorrow 😋 with the addition of that lovely sauce, that pizza is gonna be decadent and delectable!! Mmmmmmmm ❤️ If I hadn't just eaten, I'd be hungry just thinking about it. I am looking forward to seeing how it comes out. I love cooking because you can take anything and with spices and techniques, you can create something wonderful ✨️ 😊 it's so much fun, too. To me, cooking is an expression of love, especially when you get to feed others. I love doing that. My neighbors eat very well. 😁😍😋 In the words of Julia Child, bon appétit!!!

Tried my hand at carrot lentil soup again because I was talking with a friend about the recipe and oooooooh baby does my house smell nice :)
Enough soup for me to eat it as a lunch all week!

#but there are more#i have 15 rn#although i haven’t been getting eggs#and i need to find where they’re laying them#if not that means a critter is getting them#ooooor worse case scenario#the little fatties are eating them#the soup bowl#ladies are veggie named#and the roosters are spice#we got oregano the 2nd#he is the one on the right#then we got Tumeric#the ladies is a long list#the malay is the only og chicken i have#only 2-3 of these are her kids#the rest are the ones we bought at the feed store#also#the list is long#the malay is salt she is the only one that kept her name because again#she was the first#although i did rename her but salt is appropriate because she is a salty lady#anyway the other 12#we have carrot and tomatoe the blondie#cabbage cilantro corn potato#onion jalapeño#Broccoli Zucchini Cauliflower Aaaaaaan lentil#i know lentil is technically a bean#but it’s cause she is an outlier and the only one that survived from her clutch#so she is a special lady
