Amelia Rose Thorndyke (movie Amy Rose)
I know there’s a slim chance of this happening but I think it would be interesting if they gave the human characters from Sonic X another chance, the Thorndyke to be more specific.
Context: (probably take place in movie 3)
Backstory- Just like in the show, Chris is a pretty lonely kid until Amy Rose crashes into his life 6-7 years ago (literally crashing into their family pool). After a late-night rescue, Chris takes in the small pink hedgehog to make sure it’s OK. Chris originally wanted to keep Amy a secret, but those plans were ruined the very next morning when Chuck, Ella, and Mr. Tanaka discovered her when Chris was trying to find food suitable for the little pink hedgehog. They were a bit skeptical at first, but after some convincing from Chris’s end was allowed to stay until he could confront his parents about it. Chris was concerned that their growing friendship would be cut short once his parents returned, luckily Amy managed to warm her way into the hearts of everyone in the household, even his parents and uncle. Years later Amy Rose is considered a part of the family and is spoiled with love thanks to Lindsey and Ella. Over the years Amy was able to chase away Chris’s loneliness but unfortunately not her own. Although Amy spends much of her time with Chris and her family, she feels isolated from the outside world. She understands the rules set by Mr. And Mrs.Thorndyke to never go outside to keep her safe, but she still can’t help but feel sad that she can’t meet anyone new or someone like her.
Those feelings come to an end when a shocking new cast reveals three beings that were like her, the blue hedgehog the most. The second the story was over Amy rushed over to her parents begging them to take her to green hills to meet these heroes. They immediately shoot down the idea, saying it’s too dangerous, and it could be a trap. This leads to a heated argument between the three ending with Amy being grounded until further notice. Feeling defeated Amy goes to her room as told. Left alone with her thoughts once again she came to one conclusion, she was going to take things into her own hands. That night she runs away to find the three heroes and hopefully go on an adventure to remember.
Sonic and Amy- unlike other iterations of Amy and Sonic's don’t see eye to eye as much at least at the start. Before Amy met the gang she built this image of the heroes that don’t quite compare to who they are. Despite this she gets along with knuckles and tails (though they are nothing like she imagined) it’s Sonic she has a problem with. Not only did he fail to meet every expectation she had for him, he’s also a jerky, reckless idiot in Amy's eyes. Sonic was always doing or saying something stupid getting them into trouble. Not to mention he always left her behind and never took her seriously (that is no way to treat a lady). This prompts her to prove him wrong by jumping head-first into danger that she believes she can handle (she is a bit of a hypocrite). On Sonic’s end, he sees Amy as a spoiled reckless brat who doesn’t understand anything. It’s a bit harsh but it's hard not to think that she is constantly getting into trouble when she can barely control her powers and keep making things difficult when he tries to leave her somewhere safe (sonic is also a hypocrite). Worst of all she left behind a perfectly good family to go on an “adventure”. Sonic would have done anything to have Tom and Maddie as a family on day one, so Amy's drives frustrated him. These frustrations grow during the adventure eventually leading to a heated argument between the two hedgehogs (similar to the argument Sonic had with Tom in the first film). Amy leaves the team hurt and conflicted by her original hope and goal.
“Was she selfish for running away in hopes of meeting others like her? Should she just return home where she’d be safe and out of their way?” She couldn’t help but feel guilty for her behavior towards the team (specifically Sonic) and her parents. She had come all this way to meet them only to show how much of a burden she was and she probably had her family worried sick. Wanting to set things right she decided to head back to the team to give them a proper apology before returning home where she would be out of their hair (quills) for good. Before she can do anything she gets kidnapped by Eggman or Shadow.
Back with team Sonic, Knuckles and Tails are disappointed by how Sonic handled things. They agree that Amy can be a bit of a handful at times but she has also proven to have her strengths (though there’s room for improvement). Tails even insisted that they have a lot in common if they BOTH take the time to get to know each other. Sonic disagrees that he’s anything like her until he crosses paths with Chris.
It turns out that as soon as the Thorndykes found out Amy Rose was missing Mr and Mrs Thorndyke heard straight to green hills while Chuck and Chris followed their trail to find Amy ( behind Nelson and Lindsey's back of course). This leads to them eventually catching up with Sonic and the gang but still no sight of Amy.
Upon meeting with the humans, they both learn that Amy has been kidnapped. Like everyone else, Sonic shares concerns for Amy's safety, though he lets slip an offhanded comment about her getting into trouble again which Chris and Chuck don’t take lightly.
On the way to rescue Amy, the team gets to know the new humans leading to a heart-to-heart between Sonic and Chris (this could work with Chuck but I think Chris needs some redemption after his Sonic X iteration). Chris let Sonic know that there’s more to Amy than her sometimes feisty nature. She’s always proven to be the most kind and compassionate person he has ever known and is always doing something amazing when no one‘s around to appreciate it (foreshadowing of the scene with Shadow and Amy). He also laments his mistake of not noticing sooner how lonely and isolated Amy felt which caught Sonic’s attention. As Chris continues he reveals to Sonic how having a family from the beginning Amy never had as much freedom to explore or had any friends of her own. She didn’t even know there were others like her a couple of weeks ago. Knowing this Sonic felt he owed Amy a second chance and maybe an apology.
Fast forward after rescuing Amy, Shadow, and Amy’s scene, the team saves the world (this going on long enough)
With the day bringing save and families reunited Sonic and Amy meet face to face once again. Before Sonic can voice his apology Amy starts to tearfully apologize to Sonic about her behavior. To comfort her, Sonic hugs Amy telling her he’s sorry he wasn’t the nicest guy either. Sonic even suggests that they could start over and she can join the team. Amy agrees to start over but suggests that she hold off on joining the team for a bit. She doesn’t believe she’s ready to team due to her lack of control over her abilities (at the time sonic and Amy didn’t know about the impact Amy had on shadow and how it helped a lot in the long run. Amy also feels she needs a lot of self-reflection after their adventure (she’s still guilty for causing so much trouble for the team and possibly being responsible for Shadow's sacrifice himself).
After some parting banter (less rough compared to their first meeting) Amy promises when they meet again for their next adventure she’ll be stronger than ever.
First thing when the hedgehogs arrive home both get teased by their siblings/family about their new friend).
Bonus content:
Chris and Amy have a sibling relationship, so like siblings, they can get on each other's nerves from time to time.
Nelson and Lindsey both help fund the Wachowski’s expenses that the government won’t help cover for Sonic, tails, and knuckles. Chuck also helps fund tails projects cause he has taken a liking to the little fox (though the project Chuck and Tail work on together can get a bit wild).
Chris, Chuck, and Tails whenever they visit each other work on new inventions together. This may include an explosion or two, much to the concern of the adults (between the Wachowskis and the Thorndyke).
Although Sonic and Amy are on better terms they often have a hard time complimenting each other face to face stating that it would “go to their head”. Occasionally a compliment sometimes does slip out from one of them which causes both of them to become flustered whenever it happens.
Sonic and Amy, both still share banter, though it comes out a bit flirtatious to onlookers which knuckles, tails, and Chris happily teased them about.
After their adventure, Amy loses a bit of confidence in herself and holds a lot of guilt for nearly costing Sonic his life (when Sonic got shot into space trying to rescue Amy) and the loss of shadow. This is one of the many reasons Amy is hesitant to join the team even when she gets better control of her powers. When Sonic learns of this, he isn’t having it, giving Amy a heart-to-heart talk about how she should give herself more credit ( and maybe mentioning how he’s been through something similar).
Sonic eventually learns about what Amy did for Shadow and other “small” deeds that helped the team a lot more than Amy thinks. Sonic gained a lot of respect and admiration for her after that. (He’ll let her know that whenever Amy is being too hard on herself with her shortcomings).
Whenever Sonic and Amy go on their “not date” dates Sonic offers to pay for the expenses despite Amy being loaded. (Amy’s not sure if he's just being a gentleman or he forgot she’s rich but she’ll take it).
Despite having a rough introduction with Ella(Amy nearly gave Ella a heart attack when she first arrived), Amy and Ella have the strongest bond, especially in the kitchen. They both enjoy cooking delicious meals and baked goods for the whole family to enjoy. And whenever Sonic and the gang come to visit she always appreciates the extra hands she gets in the kitchen. The boys also appreciate the food Amy and Ella make for them when they visit.
Mr. Tanaka serves as a butler and bodyguard to the Thorndyke household. He gives both Amy and Chris self-defense lessons to show that he cares about them in his own way (and to keep them safe). Mr. Tanaka was originally on the fence with Sonic due to Amy losing so much of her confidence in herself the last time she interacted with Sonic. Once he gets both sides of the story, he’s more understanding, though he is still protective of Miss Rose when Sonic is around.
Sam Speed and Amy often have a hard time seeing eye to eye with each other due to Sam’s blunt and overconfident nature. Similar to Sonic X, Sam developed a rivalry with Sonic once he learned of Sonic's super speed.

Any specific predictions for movie number three and/or the miniseries?
Hii!!
Okay! I have some predictions as well as hopes for both the Knuckles series and the third movie!
For the Knuckles show:
Lots of Wachowski family shenanigans 😁
Knuckles gets to keep his motorcycle in the end
Knuckles got his hat from Tom (or just the Green Hills Police Department lol)
Wade becomes an honorary uncle to the Wachowski bros
Knuckles' fire powers are either a one time thing or a rare power he has that's similar to Sonic's lightning powers
Pachacamac is a hallucination of Knuckles', though how he started hallucinating is a mystery 😂
Sonic calls Maddie Mom. Please, I'm begging. Tails, too!
Some kind of second hint about Shadow's coming arrival
For Movie 3!
Again, Wachowski family things! Silliness between the brothers, and of course the brothers bickering about stupid things is a NEED
All three boys using parental titles with Tom and Maddie!
Vivid, detailed flashbacks complete with dialogue of Space Colony Ark and Maria!
Ark sibling memories! They'll make us sad but I want them!
Maria with more personality!
I think it was one of the older Wachowskis who was involved with the Ark incident. Maddie saying there's been a Wachowski protecting Green Hills for over 50 years, that feels way too specific to be a coincidence. Not to mention it wasn't outright G.U.N. in this universe that did it, because it wasn't formed until after the events of the first movie. That would spin things into a WHOLE new context as to why Shadow has it out for Sonic, because he's a Wachowski 👀
Amy and Rouge will be in it! Please!!!
Amy will still like Sonic in it, and he'll just be super embarrassed and bashful about the entire idea, but I don't expect or necessarily want them to actually get together in the movie. (Especially since they're much more painted as KIDS in the movie. I still think Sonic will like her back, and I'd want them to be together EVENTUALLY, but not in the timeline of the movie.)
Shadow will end up getting adopted by either Wade, or Rachel! I think Jojo's presence, a sweet little girl, might remind him of Maria 🥹
Both Shadow and Sonic will go Super!
Fat Eggman would be hilarious!
If Rouge gets adopted into the same family as Shadow and they actually become basically real siblings I will officially die of happiness
Speaking of-- the Wachowski bros actually referring to each other as brothers!
Them interacting with the other citizens of Green Hills more!
That's all I can think of for the time being! Thank you so much for the ask!!!

What i want to see in the Sonic movies is the boys being dumb in a very specific way, The sort of dumb that is explained 100% by 'that is a teenager/child. Things that wont harm them but Tom and Maddie will bring up for years to come to act as embarrassing parents.
They're all quite smart in their owns ways, but they're also kids, and now they actually get to be kids!
The whole party that Sonic threw is a prime example. So much of what he did was not a good idea at all, but it was all fine. He's safe and can afford to do silly kid things that aren't fully thought through,
I want to see them get into pointless sibling squabbles where the big problem of the week is 'We forgot to take dinner out of the freezer and Tom and Maddie will be home in five minutes and we can't agree on who's fault it is' instead of all the horrible life threatening treatment of the past.
Let them be silly children!

Thinking about the fact that Movie Sonic will never be able to escape from violence and also the home as a place that violence will always intrude on and threaten for him.
Because like! Movie 1. Sonic inadvertently leads the Echidna Tribe to where Longclaw and he live, leading to a fight where he loses his mother figure (and as far as we know only parental figure at this point) and is forced to leave Green Hill Zone, a place he openly loves and feels free to run around in. He tries to find a second home in the cave and on Earth in general but he fucks that up too (read: has an emotional breakdown about the objectively horrible conditions of his life) and has to run, again, only this time he runs into Tom (second parental figure incoming but it takes Sonic a while to figure that out). The Wachowski household is not Sonic's home yet no matter how much he desperately wants it to be, and he still gets it destroyed when Eggman comes. The emotional finale (not the plot finale) of movie 1 is Tom (and Maddie but the movies don't care about her) bringing all of Sonic's physical belongings into the attic of the Wachowski household, making it Sonic's house, even if he hasn't yet figured out his place in the family.
Ah, but things are not so easy. Eggman gets back onto Earth, bringing with him Knuckles who has searched for years to find Sonic specifically to kill him (and there's another point to think on: the echidnas hunting Sonic down, always leaving their own home and land behind at cost to themselves, just to chase Sonic down at his own home and hurt him again and again), and the first thing he does is break into Sonic's house in the middle of the night and let Knuckles punch him through two walls, destroying the home again and forcing Sonic to flee. But this time, Sonic finds home not just in a place, but in a people, becoming brothers with Tails and Knuckles and a son to Tom (and presumably Maddie but the movies don't care about her).
And then. The Knuckles show. Sonic is living in a house (his home) with one of the people who destroyed it, and Knuckles is actively driving away people who are going to try and fix the damage Knuckles did. Knuckles, caught in a crisis of his own, not faced with any external threat (unlike what he did to Sonic) leaves the house (I wonder how Sonic feels about that) and learns to prioritize family (I wonder how Sonic feels about that) and then comes back home, all without informing his family of what he's been doing or where he's been (I wonder how Sonic feels about that). Knuckles is hunted down the second he leaves Green Hills, disappears, and yet Sonic doesn't think to go after him, and Knuckles doesn't think to ask for his help. I wonder. How. Sonic. Feels. About. That.
"But Prin," you say. "This trend can't possibly continue into the third movie. What are they gonna do, blow up the house? Kill Tom?" Well, yes, they could do both of those things. I actually think one of those things is pretty likely. But also. Sonic has found a home not just in Tom (and Maddie but the movies don't care about her) and the Wachowski household but in Earth in general.
And guess what Shadow is going to try to do to the planet he loves.

Do you think that we’ll explore the town of Green Hills, Montana in the series and Sonic 3? Like slice of life stuff or more history? I don’t think that there’s a whole lot to the town other than it being described as a “dinky backwater town.”
Hi Honey! ❤️✨
Believe it or not, the town of Green Hills is very fruitful in its foundation! It may not feel like it, but there’s definitely a rich history of when the town was established. (Whew! Now y’all get to see how big of a nerd I am. That’s either a really good thing or a bad thing). I’ll hyperlink all of my sources/claims to specific information so y’all can review it at a later date. Hopefully, this add a bit more detail than what the Sonic Wikis have for the films.
Down below are bullet points and photos of Green Hills, Montana:
Green Hills was founded in the early 1800's by a group of explorers surveying and mapping that state of Montana. The rugged explorers took nearly 30 years in making a complete map of the state and claiming the area as home. Green Hills is located in the middle of the state and known to have fascinating geological features. The town was called "Green Hills" due to the unique shades of green found in its flora. Essentially, the town was founded by chance because it took so long to survey between 1806 to 1835.
Tumblr media
One of the town's founders, Morgan McConnell, specifically wanted to build a town in the heart of Montana because of the area's geological feature--checkered patterns. Morgan McConnell was credited for charting nearly a quarter of the state, including the town, and coined as as THE explorer of Montana. His favorite location to sit and work at was the Devil's Pinkie (the ledge that Sonic stands at in the first and second film). Unexpectedly, McConnell fell off of the Devil's Pinkie and died. According to town legend, McConnell's name echoed through the valley ranges for hours after he died. It's unknown if these are still heard in the area today.
Tumblr media
Between 1870 and 1883, the town of Green Hills became one of the firsts settled areas along the Northern Pacific Railway. The transcontinental railroad system stretched from the State of Minnesota, the Pacific Northwest, and along the main line opening at the Great Lakes. A town plaque describes Green Hills as a "golden spike" by former USA president Ulysses S. Grant and viewed as an important hub. The town is credited as a supply depot, as well as known for bringing in large immigration populations. The railroad system is still a crucial necessity of the town today.
The first settlers of Green Hills, Montana didn't start making their migration to the area until the 1860s. The settlers were faced with hardships of the land, lack of infrastructure, and brutal winters. Families were known to mingle together in small dwellings and form small communities. Polygamous families were common until Christian morality arrived to the area in later years (Welcome-to-Green-Hills, 2021).
Main Street features the town's first general store, a feed and gardening supply store, and post office.
Green Hills, Montana takes pride in country hospitality. The warmer months have communal events such as hoedowns, harvests and festivals, fishing derbies, farmers markets, and horseback riding events. The business district features Dr. Maddie Wachowski's veterinary clinic, antique shops, a brewery (AKA, the Beer Gardens), a stationary shop, a butcher's shop, and the Mean Bean Coffee Shop (the slogan: "drink mean"). (Tails Channel, 2021).
The Green Hills Community Theater is a town gem. It was established in 1905 and has been known to put on spectacular and successful productions for over 100 years.
Tumblr media
The Green Hills Bulletin (the local newspaper) says that they've been the hot spot for a classic car show for the past twenty years, have a "Dog of the Week" section, a local artist guild that does mosaics for the town, recently had a worker's strike on repairing the railroad system in town, and are in the middle of a movement for accessibility laws for disabled residents.
In the first movie's novel, Green Hills is known for its massive Blueberry festivals in the fall. This is an event that's welcome to all of the farmers in the state and neighboring states. Tom is known to actively take part of the festival.
In the 1900's, the town saw an influx of United States veterans occupy the area. It's seen as a "retirement community" to those not actively serving.
The town as a population of nearly 2,000 residents, as implied by the "Welcome to Green Hills" sign at the speed trap.
Tumblr media
There's definitely more that the town has to offer in terms of history. When I have the chance, I'll give this post some more attention and add to it. Until then, enjoy some historical facts about our Dinky Backwater Town!

Now, I know that other people have made similar connections between the Wachowski family protecting Green Hill for the past fifty years and Project Shadow but I'd like to plant my own theory about how I think Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will go down.
So, while the timeline isn't specifically clear, I was able to pinpoint exactly when Project Shadow was taking place: the 1970s. Do you know what else was taking place during the 1970s?
The Cold War. Project Shadow was built as a supersoldier to help GUN during the Cold War.
Tumblr media
However, after GUN becomes paranoid of Gerald seeing Shadow as a member of his family rather than the weapon he made, they make the decision to invade Space Colony Ark.
And amongst the GUN soldiers is none other than Tom Wachowski's grandfather, a young, hopeful man in his late twenties to early thirties who has hopes of making the world a better place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the raid, Mr. Wachowski suddenly sees Project Shadow running with a shaking, pale twelve-year-old girl in a blue dress and thinking the worst, decides to go after the two, worried about the girl's safety.
Tumblr media
However, it's only after a reckless, fatal decision that Mr. Wachowski learns the truth: Maria Robotnik really was an innocent child who was already suffering from an illness. And he took whatever future she may have had prematurely.
All because of the government's paranoia of Project Shadow.
Now disillusioned by the organization he joined to bring world peace and his dreams shattered, Mr. Wachowski makes the decision to resign from GUN and move to a small, countryside town to completely start over.
This town happens to be Green Hill, and he becomes their Sheriff over time, earning a reputation for being a likeable, loving yet protective Sheriff of their town.
However, despite becoming the Sheriff, Mr. Wachowski knows that whatever good he may do in this small town will never bring back the innocent twelve-year-old who stood defiantly in front of an escape pod.
Becoming embittered, scarred and almost broken, Mr. Wachowski only finds the mental strength to carry on would be his son (Tom's father---whom I'll call Michael). Judging by the fact that Tom seems to be in his mid-to-late thirties by the first film, Tom's father Michael would've likely been anywhere from a toddler to eight years old at most by the time GUN raided Space Colony Ark.
In the following years afterward, Mr. Wachowski never once reveals to his wife or family what actually happened at the Ark, knowing that they'd never forgive him for taking the life of an already sickly child. He only keeps a small diary that contains his thoughts over the next 50 years, thoughts of grief, regret, and horror over what he had done.
It's shortly after his grandson Tom is born that Mr. Wachowski passes away, taking his secret to the grave.
And it's not until after the events of Sonic 2, when Tom and Maddie find Mr. Wachowski's journal and the secret he's kept for all these years, forever shattering Tom's view of his grandfather.
And now, Project Shadow is coming for them (I mean, his glare during the final seconds of the second film says it all)....

Knuckles Arc Anon here for the third and final time, there's a few lore decisions that I just remembered that confuse me.
1.Pachamac's character being completely different. I'm aware Sonic and friends are slightly different than their game versions but there's still the essence of them. Like Sonic still keeps his basic core concept of being a representation of the average teen/kid for example and extreme oversimplication. But Pachamac, I have no problems with Knuckles not being related to him or Pachamac not being from thousands of years in the past. My issue is him being a completely different character especially with the context of movie 2.
Like in the games Pachamac is a bloodthirsty asshole who's desire for power led to the destruction of his empire, unleashing an ancient god, and eventually the extinction of all Echidna. Which knowing the lore in movie 2 would be perfect and easy to adapt (u could ignore Chaos for now)
Why is he chill? It's not even hinted at that he died with regrets and wished he made the right decisions in life to explain this massive change in personality. Personally my theory was while watching is that Pachamac was slowly going to be revealed as being a terrible person who would try to force Knuckles to stick in his warrior mindset.
2. Knuckles who was probably a child or preteen being able to kill or seal Iblis... I'm sorry what? Unless Solaris being split apart just instantly lowered the power levels even more in the movieverse this completely fucks with the power scaling. And normally I don't care about this but this is beyond suspension of disbelief. Like yeah the Echidna tribe warred with the owls since they got the Master Emerald but Knuckles didn't even have the Emerald or all the necessary combat training at like 6? Also Knuckles didn't even use his fire powers in Movie 2 but I think we are left to assume it was part of his quest to get the Master Emerald but we are shown he didn't eve need it.
3. Knuckles was gone at minimum for a few days and Maddie calls him her kid. Why is she not blowing up Wade's phone looking for her kid? Set up suggests him being grounded would come back around but guess not?
i dont think i got ur second ask but yeah. I DO feel like SOMETHING's being set up with Pachacamac, considering they made him specifically the bitch who shot Longclaw in the 2020 movie. I don't think they completely forgot his personality but they were setting something off that either didn't get paid off or hasn't been paid off yet.
Another thing I would have really liked from this series would've been more acknowledgement that Knuckles is a child. He's about 15 when this series takes place. He shouldn't be thinking like this, Sonic's right he should be playing video games and reading comic books. Once again I feel like the first ep was setting that shit up and then they just. Forgot.
but anyway that's enough negativity lmao i just woke up with some awful cramps so im gonna watch the second movie til i pass out

I want it to be Tom's grandfather who shot Maria in the third Sonic movie. I know it's not gonna happen, but hear me out as to why it should.
Tom is a cop. We know this. It needs to change. And he also mentions that he comes from a long line of cops. And, at least in the U.S. where the Sonic movies take place, the origin of the police was slave catchers. People who'd go out to find slaves who were trying to escape and drag them back to continue being treated like less than nothing. So saying you come from a long line of cops has some. Implications.
Tom is also very white, and is someone who doesn't seem like he knows what the police do/have done. Or he only knows the sanitized version of it. And speaking as a white person, he's definitely not been forced to confront it. You'd think Maddie would've told him but that's its own post.
But Adventure 2 is all about showing how awful the military, specifically the U.S. military is. And that's the basis of the third Sonic movie.
Imagine Shadow seeing Tom and IMMEDIATELY going to attack. Forget whatever mission he's on, it's time to kill. And later when his backstory is being talked about, he says that someone who looked almost exactly like Tom is the one who shot Maria. Tom goes into the G.U.N. files with the help of Tails and finds out it was his grandfather who shot Maria. It forces him to rethink EVERYTHING he thought he knew about his family lineage.
Am I expecting Paramount, who supports Israel's genocide of Palestinians, to greenlight that? No. But gods would I love if that was the end goal for his character. Find out that being a cop is the worst thing you can do and he goes to become a ranger or firefighter or something.

For Whumptober 2024 Prompt 8: Sleep Deprivation
tw for PTSD, insomnia, childhood trauma, mentioned non-consensual drug use
Logically Tom knew that meeting with Knuckles’ therapist wasn’t supposed to feel like going to the principal's office.  Doctor Sherman had said when he first met them that he wasn’t there to cast judgment over them, he was there to lead Knuckles’ support team, which included them.  Still, there were many times when Tom left the doctor’s office feeling like he was getting a bad grade in parenting.
That’s what it had felt like today.
Maddie and Tom were called in after Knuckles finished his session.  Doctor Sherman never told them the specifics of what he and Knuckles talked about, but he would give them a heads up if Knuckles had ‘homework’ that they might notice or need to help with.  Sometimes he’d give them homework too.  And sometimes he’d reveal that Knuckles wasn’t just ‘weird’, he was legitimately, clinically mentally ill.
Since he first came to live with them, they’d gotten used to Knuckles roaming the halls at strange hours of the night.  Sometimes he’d even leave the house.  Tom had convinced himself not to worry about it.  It wasn’t like with Sonic, where he was running out looking to find trouble.  Knuckles was just patrolling.  The worst he might find would be wild animals and he could more than handle himself against them… In fact they’d had to have several conversations about hunting licenses and limited freezer space to convince him to stop bringing his nocturnal run-ins home with him.
And while Tom and Maddie had more control over Knuckles now than they used to, it was really just because he liked them enough to allow them to set boundaries.  ‘No patrols’ wasn’t a hill they were looking to die on.  They’d definitely never worried that it was anything other than what it was.  It was just a weird Knuckles habit.
Except apparently it was a Symptom.  Specifically ‘hypervigilance’.  Because Knuckles had post-traumatic stress disorder.
Which, duh.  Hindsight was twenty-twenty.  They’d clocked Sonic’s separation anxiety and Tails’ social anxiety because they were so obviously anxious in those situations.  Knuckles’ constant training, tendency to attack any stranger near the house, and multiple late-night perimeter patrols didn’t look like anxiety.  Not like how the other two showed theirs.
Knuckles insisted he was fine, of course.  He wasn’t scared of anything!  Head Healer Sherman asked him to continue logging his patrols (this was how Tom found out that Knuckles had been logging them as part of his therapy homework).  The healer seemed to think that Knuckles would struggle to reduce his patrols to half the amount–Knuckles would prove him wrong!  He would go on no patrols tonight, just to prove how not scared he was!
‘Head Healer’ Sherman said that the most important thing was to push his limits without overextending himself.  But that Knuckles should definitely try to get some rest.  The way he said it bordered on worried.  Which was when Tom realized he didn’t know how much Knuckles slept.
That just added to the feelings of guilt as they left the office.
Still feeling the gnaw of shame, he slept lightly that night.  Lightly enough to hear the telltale thump of the attic steps lowering.
Tom had gotten used to hearing Knuckles’ footsteps in the night.  The thought had him feeling guilty once more.  It seemed so obvious now that that wasn’t normal.  He knew that showing you what was and wasn’t healthy was what doctors were for, but he wished he could’ve seen it on his own.  Maybe he could have done something earlier.
In the course of one day, Knuckles had broken down a school wall, crushed a kid’s arm, got suspended, and exploded their car.  (Their third car demolition in two years.)  But the worst part of the day had been when Knuckles had a panic attack.  And yeah, Tom knew the one who had the worst of that was Knuckles.  But watching his big, tough kid fall to pieces with him powerless to help was its own brand of agony.
Tom would do anything to avoid any of them living that moment over again.  Getting out of bed at 3am was a small price.
He left the lights off so he wouldn’t wake Maddie and crept out of the room.  The hallway was dark but the floor below was illuminated by moonlight across the floor.  He could see Knuckles’ outline standing at the bottom of the stairs.
Tom walked quietly, but Knuckles didn’t seem surprised when he finally turned to look up at him.
“Hey,” Tom said softly as he sat beside his eldest, leaving a little room between them.  “Just… hanging out of the stairs tonight?”
“I said that I would not patrol the perimeter tonight,” Knuckles said.  “So I will stand watch instead.”
Tom nodded and hummed like he was considering this.  Really he was considering how best to convince Knuckles to go back to bed.  He remembered how Doctor Sherman had told Knuckles to get some rest.  Tom knew the doctor couldn’t tell him everything, but Tom almost wished he could see these patrol logs.  Instead he asked:
“When did you last get eight hours of sleep?”
“Eight hours?”  Knuckles turned to him and even in the lowlight Tom could make out his confusion.
“Uh… how about six hours?”
“Consecutively?”
Oof.  “You know… Doctor Sherman did tell you to go get some rest.  Maybe that should be the challenge you tackle tonight.”
Knuckles turned away.  “Someone must keep watch.”
“I could keep watch?”  He didn’t know if he could actually pull an all-nighter anymore, but Tom was willing to stay up a bit if it meant Knuckles would get some sleep.
“I mean no offense Tom, but I am not only physically stronger, but have better vision, hearing, and sense of smell than you.  Also I am beginning to suspect you cannot sense electricity.”
Tom turned to stare at Knuckles’ profile.  “You can sense electricity?”  Was this an echidna thing or… a mental illness thing?
“I can sense that you left the light on in the garage,” Knuckles said by way of response.  His nose scrunched as he spoke, though he didn’t look angry.
“Seriously?”
“Yes,” he rubbed his nose with one big mitt.  “The twitchy one over the door.”
“You mean the flickery one?”
“To me it feels twitchy.”  His nose twitched as though to emphasize.
Tom still wasn’t sure if this was a real thing or not.  But Knuckles had never had delusions.  Maybe his superpowered alien echidna son could sense electricity.  Stranger things had happened.
“Does it bother you?” Tom asked.
“The twitching?”
“The electricity.”
Knuckles merely shrugged.  “It is not as bad as some of the other places I’ve been.  There it felt like the pins and the needles.  Here it is like… the crickets.  They make noise, but it’s not terrible.”
Silence fell between them and Tom noticed that he could hear the crickets.  Crickets and frogs and night birds and all sorts of creatures.  He’d long gotten used to the sounds of the forest.  The ‘twitching’ electricity probably didn’t bother Knuckles that much.  But still…
Tom stood.  “I’m gonna go turn the light off.”  The ‘twitching’ probably wasn’t all that was keeping Knuckles up, but if it would help at all, then Tom would try it.
He flicked on the porch light and let himself out.
Knuckles followed.  “I will go with you,” he said.  “But this does not count as patrolling the perimeter.”
Tom frowned.  This sounded like another loophole.  Was Knuckles going with him just another instance of hypervigilance?
The two of them walked down the front steps to the driveway, then headed around the side of the house to where the garage sat.  Tom kept eyeing Knuckles as they went.  He was used to Knuckles scanning around himself, looking for danger.  But now it wasn’t a ‘quirk’.
Tom had always heard the phrase that ‘crazy people don’t know they’re crazy’ but nobody said anything about the sane people around them also not being able to tell they were crazy.  Everything Knuckles did made perfect sense to him, so Tom hadn’t questioned it.  He cringed to think of how, in Knuckles’ very first appointment, he’d tried to tell the therapist that Knuckles ‘wasn’t a threat to others!  Well, not unless he thinks they’re a threat to him…. Which is almost everyone.  But we’re working on it!’  Like Knuckles was on par with Ozzie, barking at the mailman.
Now he watched the way Knuckles kept looking around, like there were invisible threats around every corner, and felt like he’d let his kid down.
“What do you think will happen if you weren’t on guard?”  Tom asked.  How did Knuckles’ mind work?
Knuckles’ eyes and quills flared red and Tom stopped, shocked.  The echidna banged his fists together, sending red sparks flying.  “Back off!”  He barked so loud that Tom jumped.
Was he having another panic attack?!
Knuckles bolted toward the garage and then suddenly stopped.  Tom got a second surprise: a huge black shadow peeled away from the garage and loped away into the trees.  Knuckles’ quills stopped glowing.  Tom could still see Knuckles’ silhouette burned into the back of his lids.
His oldest turned to him, looking quite unimpressed.  “If I were not on guard, you would have been eaten by a bear.”
Right.  Fair.  But also:  “I probably wouldn’t get eaten by a black bear,” he said.  “Probably not even a brown bear.  Bears aren’t that big of a concern…”  They usually ran away from people, Tom and Knuckles must have just surprised this one.  “I think you could rest easy inside, knowing the bears are outside.  No need to stay up standing guard, you know?”
That said, Tom’s head was definitely on a swivel now.  Which was ironic because Knuckles was actually laser-focused on the spot where the bear disappeared.
“Anything can happen when you are asleep,” Knuckles said.  “I have avoided it whenever possible for most of my life.  I am not sure I could force myself to sleep even if I wanted to.”
Tom let himself in through the garage’s side door.  Sure enough, the light was on inside.  It flickered once before he hit the switch and the room went dark.  “Maybe Doc–Head Healer Sherman–could give you—” what did Knuckles call meds? “--a remedy?  To help you sleep.”
“I do not want to sleep though,” Knuckles said as he followed Tom back toward the house.
“I know, but you need to.  And if you can’t–”
“I must be able to wake up when I need to,” Knuckles said firmly.  “I have to be in fighting condition in a moment’s notice or else I could wake up captured by an enemy.  Or worse.”
Tom was about to asked what was worse than waking up imprisoned, but Knuckles answered first:
“I was sleep poisoned the first time I killed someone.”
Oh.  Tom sometimes forgot–or liked to forget–that Knuckles had a body count.  But them ignoring this stuff and acting like Knuckles was a weird, but otherwise normal kid, was probably another stone on the path to Knuckles having his breakdown so… he engaged:  “How did sleep meds cause you to kill someone?”
They rounded the house and started up the front steps.
“I was under attack, but my mind was clouded and my body did not act as I commanded.  I defended myself, but used too much strength.”
Tom pretended to scan the side yard for bears but really he was just trying to hide his expression.  He’d seen Knuckles crush stone with ease.  It was easy to forget when he was giving you a joint-cracking handshake, but that was Knuckles being gentle!  What could he do to a person if he didn’t control that strength?  And then Tom wondered: how was Doctor Sherman going to help Knuckles get over his hyper vigilance when Knuckles had to be vigilant every time he touched something more fragile than stone?
He realized he’d been quiet too long.  “I’m sorry,” he said, both for the long pause and for what happened.  “That sounds… traumatic.”
“…It is not my best memory.  But not my worst either.”
Tom let Knuckles enter the house before him, once again hiding his expression.  If that wasn’t Knuckles’ worst memory, he wasn’t sure he wanted to know what was.  Knuckles didn’t volunteer it and Tom didn’t pry.  He wanted to get Knuckles to share more with him, but he’d already gotten him to share more than Tom bargained for.
Maybe he should ask Doctor Sherman how he should react when Knuckles dropped these little trauma bombs?
Knuckles turned at the bottom of the steps.  He faced the front door and crossed his arms.  It looked almost like a parade rest.  Tom realized his eldest didn’t intend to go back to bed now.
“Maybe you could try to get some sleep,” Tom suggested.
“I think you should get some sleep,” Knuckles said.  “I can withstand far greater sleep deprivation than you.”
Tom shook his head. “How about this?  I’ll go to bed when you do.”
Tom couldn’t see in the dark as well as their resident echidna warrior, but he could sense Knuckles’ frown.  “I will not be going to sleep for a while, yet,” he said.  “I am not tired.”
Tom was, but he sat down on the steps beside Knuckles anyway.
They sat for a long time in silence.  Knuckles didn’t move an inch the whole time.  Tom meanwhile was wondering if sitting had been the best choice.  Seeing the bear had given him a hit of adrenaline, but now his body was hungry for rest.  How could he get Knuckles to feel like going to bed?  He wished he’d asked Doctor Sherman.  That was the kind of question a dad who wasn’t getting an F in parenting would ask.
Maybe Knuckles needed to forget about the bad stuff that Tom had unknowingly dredged up.
“What’s the best sleep you ever had?”  Tom asked.
“What?”  Knuckles finally moved to look at him.
Tom shrugged sleepily and readjusted, resting his arms on his knees and leaning against the railing.  “Just curious.  What’s a time when you slept really well?  For me it was after the first time we battled Robotnik.  Sonic and I went on a pretty long journey together and I wasn’t used to all that danger.  I passed out hard.  Woke up feeling great.”  Even though his house had been destroyed.  It was almost a yearly event at this point.  “How about you?”
Knuckles tipped his head to the side, contemplating.  And contemplating… And contemplating.
Tom actually thought he wasn’t going to answer.  His eyelids were getting heavier and heavier and his tired brain was running out of excuses to keep them open.
Then Knuckles started talking.  The words came haltingly at first, but grew more confident the longer he spoke.  “Once… When I was very, very small.  I had been ill.  I was nearly well again, but they made me stay at the healer’s hut one more night.”
He paused a long moment, gathering his words, or trying to remember, Tom didn’t know.  “It was raining… There were pots around the hut to catch water leaking through the roof.”  He spoke as though he’d only just remembered.
Tom smiled to himself.  His eyes had gone and shut themselves without his permission.  “That sounds cozy,” he mumbled.
“The healer was making medicine,” Knuckles continued.  “She had water boiling over the fire and she was crushing herbs together.  The whole room smelled like tea.”
Tom’s chin dipped and he jerked up, then sagged back down.  Oh dear, he was going to lose this fight, wasn’t he?  Was Knuckles sleepy at least?
Knuckles yawned as if in answer.  “Father was with me.  He worried after me…  Not unlike you do now…”  He said this last part so quietly that Tom wasn’t sure it wasn’t a dozy dream.  “I slept in his arms.  It was the first true sleep I had had in days.”
Tom remembered that feeling.  Falling asleep and being carried to bed by his dad.  Having a nightmare and sleeping between his parents.  He wished they could give that to Knuckles too.  Make him feel that safe in their home.
A gentle hand found his shoulder and Tom startled awake.  It was brighter than he expected and he scrunched his eyes closed immediately.
“Hey,” Maddie said softly.  “You okay?”
“M’fine,” Tom said, squinting his eyes open.  Oh.
It was morning.
He looked up at Maddie who couldn’t seem to decide if she was amused or not.  “Were you down here all night?”  She asked.
Tom rubbed his eyes.  “I came to check on Knuckles… Guess I fell asleep instead.”  Darn it.  He looked beside him to see Knuckles sitting on the step.
“Knuckles?”  Maddie asked.  “Did you get any sleep last night?”
Knuckles stared down at his shoes.  He seemed almost ashamed.  “No,” he said.
Tom’s shoulders sagged.  He and Maddie shared a look.  He didn’t want to say that Knuckles’ first night of no patrolling had been a failure, but it definitely hadn’t been a success.
Maybe Doctor Sherman wouldn’t pass judgment on Tom, but Tom would pass it on himself.  Somehow, someway, he had to figure out how to make one of the strongest people on the planet feel safe.

After witnessing Wade's low budget rock opera fever dream, I want to know how a SCU project can tackle being a full musical while also giving a logical explanation for why everyone is singing… but more importantly, who's our lead character taking center stage?
Okay, I put this ask on the back burner for a few days because I couldn't come up with a good answer for it, but it was so interesting to think about. Then it slapped me upside the head as I drove home today.
Who's our lead? Knuckles.
I can almost hear the eye rolls - Of course Qwerty would put Knuckles center stage.
HEAR ME OUT
My headcanon is Knuckles likes musicals, because everyone in a musical actually admits how they're feeling. He has a very hard time determining that in real life, and character motivations in most movies are handled subtly, making them hard for him to follow, so having people flat out say (or sing) what they want or how they feel is refreshing to him, and he's grown to appreciate music more since his little road trip with Wade.
So maybe one night after the family watches a musical, Knuckles kinda muses to himself how nice it would be if life were more like that. If everyone simply said how they felt instead of trying to deceive others. The ME catches wind of this 'wish' and grants it.
Next morning, he goes downstairs and Sonic's singing about how they're all out of Froot Loops or something. Knux doesn't pay it any mind, because it's Sonic, and the guy tends to break into some sort of sing-songy thing every 5 minutes.
He's off to meet up with Wade for something or other. Wade's kinda singy, too. But, again, Wade likes music, so it doesn't really stand out.
Knux goes about his day, slowly coming to the realization that everyone around him is bursting into song. And while he doesn't really know a lot of Earth music, the songs they sing seem awfully specific to whatever they're doing, or whomever they're interacting with.
It hits him. Just like a musical.
He rushes home to talk to Tails about it--the fox is smart, he'll know what to do--when Tails starts a ballad about how he loves his new home, and is so afraid of doing something wrong to be kicked out. Music comes out of nowhere, and Knux is dumbstruck as Tails goes into this big finish about finding a home where people love and care for him.
Uh. Okay.
He goes to Maddie. Her song is about taking care of others, but feeling a little stressed about it.
Tom. His is about how he wanted to make a difference in the world, but discovered that being a father was what he truly wanted.
Knux is starting to freak out. Everyone's singing, but no one seems to realize they are.
He's frustrated and confused and has no clue what to do, when he starts singing. About his lost tribe, his time roaming the galaxy, his shame at trusting Robotnik. And finding his new tribe, his new home. He feels something in his chest, something he hadn't felt since he lost his tribe all those years ago. Acceptance? Peace? But he's a warrior! He shouldn't care about such things!
But he does. He likes these feelings, and has realized how much he missed them.
And realizes that he likes his new life. His new home.
And as he finishes his song, belting out the final notes, he feels a shift. The mysterious music that had appeared out of nowhere was gone. As he made his way back home, no one breaks into a well-choreographed dance. No one as much as hums as they tend in their garden.
The curse is lifted, and he feels more at ease with himself and his new situation than he has for the entire time he'd been on Earth.
But, he had to admit, everyone bursting into song was a little annoying after a while.

So back when Sonic Movie 2 came out, I had a dream about Sonic Movie 3 and I wanna share it because I think it's funny.
So to start off, the dream was framed kinda weirdly. I was actually watching it in a theater, which was filled with a whole bunch of people who were being disrespectful and kept talking over the movie. Specifically, they talked over Shadow every time he talked, so I couldn't hear his VA, but I still got a general sense of what he was saying.
Anyway! The only specific characters that I remember seeing were Sonic, Tails, Shadow, and Agent Stone. I guess Knuckles was chilling with Tom and Maddie somewhere. XD
Stone was the main villain because Jim Carrey didn't come back to play Robotnik. I have no idea what happened at the beginning of the movie. But my dream picked up towards the climax. Shadow had teamed up with Sonic and Tails and were confronting Stone in some kind of abandoned building with at least three levels. Stone trapped them inside and then disappeared somehow. The building started filling up with 'water' and the three started trying to escape. The building kinda just filled up and everyone was about to drown when something broke. All of the 'water' drained out of the building, down the hill, and into the gutters of the nearby town.
From there, there was a jump. Sonic, Shadow, and Tails got locked in a grocery store with GUN, who were about to execute them, even though they just stopped Stone from doing something bad and probably saving the world. Ultimately, the people of the town convinced GUN that the three were heroes and to not kill them.
In celebration, everyone piled into a bus to go party somewhere. Shadow ended up sitting next to this girl who reminded him of Maria. She said something I couldn't hear and Shadow responded with, "Yeah, I know." (I'm going to assume she told him Maria would be proud.) So THEN! Shadow shed a single tear, which flew out the window and landed in the gutter, where it spontaneously caught fire! Yeah, Shadow had flammable tears in my dream, which I absolutely love!
Now, remember how all the water from that building drained into the gutters? Well, turns out it wasn't water at all. It was gasoline. So Shadow’s tear catching fire caused it to catch fire as well. The fire started running up the trail of gasoline up the hill to the building. Apparently there was some kind of bomb there that no one dealt with and if the fire was allowed to get back to the building, the whole thing was blowing up. Sonic and Tails noticed this and decided to hop out of the bus to save the day without telling Shadow.
The two arrived back at the building a few seconds before the fire and decided to go inside for some reason??? Then the fire reached them and because the building was drenched in gasoline, the whole thing immediately went up in flames. The entrance got blocked somehow, meaning Sonic and Tails had to get to the top floor to escape out a window or something.
Now if the whole dream wasn't weird enough, here's where all logic goes out the window. Suddenly, Sonic gained the ability to fly and Tails couldn't. Since the floor was very hot, Sonic grabbed Tails and began flying them up to the top of the building. Sonic was agonizingly slow though. They were running out of time and they weren't going to make it before they died from the impending explosion.
Then Shadow came out of nowhere! He managed to get Sonic and Tails out before the bomb went off, but not himself. The building exploded and Sonic and Tails were sad, thinking Shadow died. But he turned out to be just fine.
Aaaaand that's where my dream ended. Really, really weird, but I think it’s very funny.
Also, excuse me while I pluck up that 'Shadow has flammable tears' idea and put it in Immortals.

Headcanons about Sonic characters that I haven’t talked about or haven’t talked about enough:
- Sonic is asexual gray-romantic/bi-or-panromantic flux. And also still questioning everything romantically.
- Elise is asexual heteroromantic, and has a specific “type” of boy (and that type is hedgehog who is slightly gender non-conforming.)
- Silver sometimes uses xi/xem/xier in addition to he/him/his.
- Sonic is autistic. Also an ADHDer.
- Tails is autistic.
- Elise is autistic.
- Knuckles is autistic.
- Shadow is allistic but has social problems…but it’s better explained by PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, BPD, IED, social anxiety, etc. Poor Shadow. He’s got about half the dang DSM in his brain.
- Tails has an anxiety disorder, but it’s mild and is mostly under control.
- Elise has depression and anxiety in the 06 timeline.
- Rouge suffers from chronic backaches. She hides it well and doesn’t talk about it, but there is no way her back feels good. (I speak as a woman with a similar build.)
- Rouge was born red with slightly tan skin on the parts that don’t have much fur. She has full-coverage vitiligo. This also explains why her face is slightly darker in SA2 than in any other appearance. It started with small patches, but as she grew up, got more intense.
- Amy is heterosexual biromantic. (I’ve seen the way she is with Blaze sometimes.)
- Amy has mild balance problems.
- Amy’s small nose is a rare trait for hedgehogs in Sonic’s world. (See: Sonic Forces’ avatar creator.)
- Silver has a really intense guilt complex. He blames himself for his parents dying, even though he was too little to possibly be able to do what it would take to save them at the time.
- Silver is an early bloomer in terms of hair and quill development. He would have his mom style his quills for him when he was tiny.
- Silver’s father would look a lot like Shadow, but with a few key differences. His stripes would be light blue, and he wouldn’t have any on his arms. He would have a prosthetic leg (because one of his OG legs would have been burned off when he was around Silver’s age). He would have brown eyes, similar to Prime!Shadow. And he would have gloves and boots similar to his son’s, because he is where the telekinesis genes are from.
- Silver’s mom would be named Pearl, because she looked like one. Her eyes would be very light blue. She would have been deaf in one ear, but would have been able to hear slightly better with a hearing aid. Also, she would be blind. (Often, albino animals and humans have vision and hearing disabilities, and Pearl would be no exception.) She would style her quills - and Silver’s quills - by feel, and Silver would always want his quills like his mom’s quills. Oh, yeah, and Pearl would have the tiny ears.
- Movie!Tails is a huge fan of Kidz Bop. (Watches every single one of Savvy’s sign-alongs, got emotional when Eagan announced he was quitting, loves the covers but loves the few original tracks even more - he especially loves "Life of the Party" and "KIDZ BOP Never Stop".) Movie!Sonic and Maddie like them okay, but they aren’t as into it as Tails is. Movie!Knuckles thinks most of the Kidz Bop tracks are a little weird, but he likes older KB CDs. Tom is annoyed by many of the older batches that Knuckles prefers. One of the older KB tracks that everyone, even Tom, can vibe with is "Chariot". Tom sings along with that one teenager, Knuckles sings along with the "Oh, yeahs!", Sonic and Tails love to sing along with the younger backup singers, and absolutely everyone comes together with the chorus. Furthermore, Tom is impressed that they managed to make “Cake by the Ocean” into a kid-friendly song by changing most of the words and the entire context around so it’s actually about sharing some actual cake by an actual ocean (though there is one line that still didn’t age well but we’re not gonna mention that because at the time KB did the song nobody knew what we know now.) With that said, this is Sonic’s least favorite track…because even if there is cake involved, he doesn’t like thinking about being too close to the ocean. Tails is sensitive enough to listen to that track with headphones by himself only, knowing that, you know, Sonic is scared of the ocean.
- Sonic in most continuities is physically incapable of swimming.
- Tails would have been able to fly faster than he does if the bullies never pulled on his tails.
- Amy has cyclothymia, but it’s well-controlled.

In the clip where Sonic is showing Knuckles his entertainment options, I couldn't help but notice how many more comics he had compared to movie 1 as well as how high end all of his electronics were. He definitely didn't have any of that in his cave, and assuming his klepto days are behind him, that logically implies that his parents bought them. Clearly they are spoiling him to make up for his impoverished childhood. But the question is, who is spearheading this? Tom or Maddie? Which one is the bleeding heart that just wants to give their new son everything? My money is on Tom, but I could see Maddie getting in on this. Like she was ordering the race car bed while Tom was scouring every comic store in town. They both have well paying jobs and didn't have kids until recently, so they can clearly afford it. Thoughts?
Ooooh! Hmm… I think that both of them have soft spots for spoiling their kids, but I think it’s for specific scenarios. I think that Maddie buys items that align more with the boys being, well, kids. Tom buys items that align more with being responsible. Not that either of these reasonings are bad, but because the boys need a healthy balance between being kids while learning responsibility. Does that make sense?👉🥹👈
