Thinking about the fact that Mabel and Dipper didn't know they had two great uncles.
Yeah they are 12 and at 12 I had a shotty understanding of my family tree- But really? Nobody brought up their great uncle? Stanley? Especially since they'll be staying with his twin brother, Stanford?
Shermie never went to Stan's fake funeral, which to me means the twos relationship was strained on some level. If Shermie is older that means his view of Stan was poisoned in some way, that even as kids they weren't close. If the Shermie is younger then he never even got to meet Stan and all he knew about him was how he failed his family. Hell, people probably barely mentioned Stanley TO Shermie.
The fact that Stan had become a black stain upon the Pines family name makes me so vividly upset. Stanley faked his death and the family just- seemingly decided to strike him from the record. To pretend he didn't existed to spare themselves the sadness and shame.
Stanford and Shermie Pines. The only children worth mentioning of Filbrick and Caryn Pines.
It was never Stanford that was lost to the world. It was Stanley, ever since he had to leave New Jersy- it was always him that had to be struck from the record. Change his name, change his state, change his affiliations, destroy the remains of ghost that was Stanley Pines. Kill him so the family doesn't bring him up, doesn't ask questions, stops asking "Stanford" about his twin.
I just keep thinking about the fact that since the day he made one single mistake all the way up until Ford walks out of that machine- Stanley Pines was killed and did not exist. And Stan himself had no one to blame, he had to play the part in his own demise- He is the only one who ever knew Stanley was alive and has been for decades.
He lives in the multitudes of every personality he's ever taken, all in the hope that he himself can stop being Stanley Pines.
#gravity falls#grunkle stan#stanley pines#STANLEYYYYYY#STANLEY THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU STANLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#sharky rants#Just. Imagine the fucking shame you have to live with#the shame that you can never be yourself. That anything you were is unwanted and forgotten#The shame of just BEING- Of taking space of- of /breathing-/#Imagine the world; your friend; your family; your colleagues being so ashamed of having known you#that you feel more comfortable with a persona to present.#You feel more comfortable stealing the identity of someone you care for deeply if only to help#If only to feel capable for once. To feel like you belong- Like youre doing something good for once#Imagine the shame that brings you to be comfortable not being yourself for 40 years.#ALL CASE YOU BROKE ONE FUCKING PROJECT??????? COME ON#I mean- the deeprooted shame was started from earlier. He was 'the stupid twinā€œ; 'the troublemakerā€; ā€œthe cheat and thiefā€#This was a long time coming#But those werent MISTAKES- The one time he genuinely made a Mistake he lost everything#Like he really mattered so little to the people around him#and he cant really blame them.#My cousin is a genius. Hes smart and academically achieved since I was a baby.#The only thing I had that he didnt was my ability to draw. to be creative. The guy for the longest time had a better social life then me too#I used to get brought to tears seeing his accomplishments- seeing people praise him. The shame lived in me any time I had to see him#The shame that I was the black sheep of the family next to the golden standard for a son- for a student- for a friend.#when I was none of those things#And Im lucky he was my cousin- cause if he was my brother that would have haunted me EVERY DAY rather then once or twice a year#Im better with it now; Im more content with who I am- But trauma dump aside-#I very very very much understand Stans shame in being the stupid one. The unachieved one in a family full of achieved people#the shame thats angry at him for being better. at the family for treating him special. and most of all at yourself that you cant be better#its a visceral feeling that I sadly understand

okay being real with you guys though. i am Completely Serious when i say the easiest way to secure other people's loyalty and support and admiration and whatnot is by being nice. this is the autism website so i'm trying to express this for people who aren't sure how to make friends or how to make people like them.
the easiest way to be liked and to get a small army under your command is by being kind. a lot of people think you have to be funny or talented or smart or clever or special to be liked.
You Do Not.
you literally only have to be friendly enough and kind enough that other people feel at ease around you. complimenting people, thanking people, asking people questions, acting interested in their answers, making casual small talk: these are the weapons in your arsenal.
if you are seen as someone who's kind and someone who's good at heart then other people will be willing to go to bat for you. and if that doesn't come naturally you can just study how other people do it and imitate them.
Just Be Nice. The Results May Surprise You!

Bruno Bucciarati: The Perfect Dominant
Tumblr media
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to get dommed by Bruno Bucciarati?
Tumblr media
Whether youā€™ve thought about it or not, take a moment to picture it.
Bruno is:
Confident.
Authoritative.
Assertive.
Empathetic.
ā€¦Isnā€™t it perfect?
It makes sense a leader like Bruno would naturally gravitate toward a more dominant role. Not to mention, his career has given him plenty of practice.
But it gets better. Bruno isnā€™t just someone who can play the partā€”heā€™s uniquely equipped with talents that make him second to none at bedroom dominance.
Keep reading for an in-depth analysis (with headcanons!) on why our beloved Zipper Daddy would be the dom of your dreams!
(If it wasnā€™t clear alreadyā€”this is definitely 18+)
Tumblr media
Bruno: The Sadistic Side
Before diving in, letā€™s clarify: not every dom is a sadist. However, I headcanon Bruno as one.
Even though this was (very much) not intended, Hirohiko Araki has made it clear that Bruno is quite capable of donning the mindset needed for this role.
Well, not only is Bruno ā€œquite capableā€ā€”heā€™s a goddamn professional.
Tumblr media
When interrogating Giorno, Bruno effortlessly adopts the role of a cold, ruthless interrogator. Thereā€™s a calculated cruelty in his actions as if heā€™s playing a game rather than conducting torture.
This isnā€™t surprising. Intimidation is part of his job, and years of experience have made Bruno exceptionally skilled at it.
In the bedroom, that sadistic edge translates to Bruno reveling in his partnerā€™s reactions. He thrives on his partnerā€™s surrender, growing more intoxicated as his dominance intensifies. (He may even make his partner call him by his last name as a way to ā€œrespectā€ his authority.) Brunoā€™s self-restraint would quickly slip away, no doubt this making lasting a challenging task for him.
Tumblr media
The Human Lie Detector
Bruno Bucciarati is no ordinary dom. His unique skill set makes him exceptionalā€” nobody possesses a toolkit quite like his.
No, I donā€™t mean ā€œtoolkitā€ like thatā€”(heh.)
Tumblr media
Iā€™m talking about the range of enthralling tricks he has up his sleeve!
The self-proclaimed human lie detector can discern a liar using multiple methods, one such being his keen ability to read body language.
Itā€™s clear heā€™s fluent in non-verbal communicationā€”In the interrogation scene with Giorno, Bruno knew Giorno was lying before resorting to moreā€¦ unconventional methods. After all, would he have placed Lucaā€™s eye into an innocent personā€™s hand? (Which of course happened before Bruno licked him.)
And speaking of unconventional methodsā€”yes, we have to talk about the sweat thing. ;)
Tumblr media
Brunoā€™s ability to detect lies by taste is, letā€™s say, niche. The fact that he so casually licked Giorno implies itā€™s not his first time using this technique.
Maybe Iā€™m a freak, but Iā€™d be lying if I didnā€™t say that the thought of Bruno dragging his tongue against my skin by really fucking hot. (I know Iā€™m not the only person who feels this wayā€”after all, you chose to read thisā€¦) Hoo boyā€”especially when you remember that your face isnā€™t the only body part that sweats.
(And according to MatPat, your face isnā€™t even the best part of your body to sample stress sweat fromā€”Itā€™s, uhā€¦ in other places. šŸ˜‰)
Endowed with a sharp mind, Bruno has no trouble finding kinky uses for his lie detection, and because heā€™s skilled at torture, he knows just how to discipline a filthy liar. ;)
Hereā€™s an excerpt from a drabble I wrote imagining how this scenario might go down:
Tumblr media
He chuckles softly again and fixes his gaze on you, akin to that of a hungry predator. "Perfect," he purrs. "And of course, there'll be consequences if you're anything less than entirely truthful."
You feel your cheeks growing warm. "What kind of consequences?"
"I haven't decided yet," he wickedly smiles, the dancing spark in his eyes having ignited into a blazing flame. "It'll depend on the severity of your lie."Ā
A surge of adrenaline floods your veins, quickening your heartbeat. The bed shifts slightly as Bruno leans in dizzyingly close, stopping when his face is but an inch from yours.
"How does that make you feel?" he teases, his voice lowering to a seductive murmur. His warm breath kisses your skin. "Does this excite you?"
(read the full drabble here)
Tumblr media
Kinky Fingers: The Ultimate Dom Tool
No discussion of Brunoā€™s dom potential is complete without addressing the elephant in the room:
Tumblr media
Thatā€™s right! Itā€™s his stand, 怌Sticky Fingers.怍
ā€¦Are you aware of how fucking much you can do with this stand ability? (Or how much fucking you can do!! ahahaha!!!ā€¦ Iā€™ll see myself outā€¦)
Tumblr media
No, reallyā€”I cannot emphasize enough how large the bedroom the potential is on this one. His stand opens up an entirely new realm of possibilities.
As you know, Sticky Fingers creates zippers on any surface it touches, allowing Bruno to attach, detach, and reconfigure objects (and people). Weā€™ve already seen him use it to ā€œrestrainā€ Mario Zucchero by unzipping his head from his body.
Now think about how this ability translates to bondage.
Tumblr media
Who needs ropes or cuffs when you can create custom restraints with zippers? Whether itā€™s immobilizing you to a surface, hogtying you with a flick of his wrist, or inventing entirely new ways to keep you at his mercyā€”Brunoā€™s creativity is unmatched.
And it doesnā€™t stop there. Sticky Fingersā€”I mean, Kinky Fingersā€”opens the door to a genre of kink that only Bruno could offer: zipper play.
With absolute control over his stand, Bruno could tease, restrain, or overwhelm his partner in ways that are impossible for anyone else. Once those zippers appear, no one else can remove themā€”your submission would be entirely his.
And now, I am proud to present a list of many kinky uses for Sticky Fingers:
Tumblr media
Wouldnā€™t it be crazy to have your head zipped off only for your mouth to be used as a fleshlight? (Can you even begin to imagine that?)
My personal favorite use would have to be how he can disassemble your entire bodyā€¦ and then do whatever the fuck he wants. ;)
Again, maybe Iā€™m a freakā€”but it sounds hot!
Tumblr media
(Iā€™ve also written an entire one shot about this, so if youā€™re interested in it, hereā€™s the link! Itā€™s kind of long and jam-packed with lots of Kinky Fingers action.)
Tumblr media
Empathy and Non-Verbal Communication
Bruno Bucciarati isnā€™t just a skilled domā€”what truly sets him apart is his empathy and attentiveness to his partner.
Being a good dom isnā€™t just about playing the role or mastering techniques; itā€™s about understanding and prioritizing your partnerā€™s needs.
A great dom has the emotional awareness to recognize what their partner wants and ensures the experience is enjoyable for both partiesā€”because if itā€™s not fun for both, itā€™s not fun at all.
Empathy is central to Brunoā€™s character. Itā€™s his greatest strength and, at times, his greatest vulnerability. Without it, he simply wouldnā€™t be Bruno.
Tumblr media
This deep empathy is perfectly complemented by his ability to read non-verbal communicationā€”another crucial skill for a dom. You canā€™t create a fulfilling experience without understanding what your partner feels, even when they donā€™t say it aloud.
As discussed earlier, Brunoā€™s ā€œhuman lie detectorā€ instincts rely on sharp observation, especially his talent for reading body language.
Imagine how this skill would translate to the bedroom. Bruno would pick up on every subtle cueā€”every shift, hesitation, or unspoken need. Whether itā€™s meeting his partnerā€™s desire or teasing out their secrets, this man would masterfully ensure the experience is as intense as it is unforgettable.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you know, Bruno Bucciarati isnā€™t just any dom. His empathy, authority, and one-of-a-kind abilities make him an unmatched partner in both leadership and intimacy. Whether itā€™s through his sharp intuition or the limitless potential of Sticky Fingers, Brunoā€™s dominance would leave you both exhilarated and utterly spent.
Zipper Daddy supremacy.
Tumblr media
Thank you for reading. I hope that my sermon has enlightened you. šŸ’•
P.S. Thank you to @moody-bloos for suggesting this! I know this wasnā€™t probably what you had in mind, but since I am so incredibly passionate about this topic I wanted to go above and beyondā€¦
Tumblr media
The only thing I like more than sub Bruno is dom Bruno.

i've noticed that some frankenstein adaptions that include walton (the only good ones ā˜ļøšŸ¤“) choose to depict him as a naval officer (aesthetically, at the very least ā€” one of my favourite examples is in the 2018 manchester royal exchange theatre production because well. LOOK AT HIM)
this phenomena is so interesting to me because he is explicitly Not that, textually
on one hand i get it because the correlation between polar exploration and the navy especially during the 18th and 19th centuries is there and makes sense; itā€™s an easy connection to make if you just want walton ā€œon screenā€ and a visual short hand for the reason behind the type of journey heā€™s making (i.e. discovery service expedition to the arctic sent by the admiralty) without any real exploration of his character and the inner thoughts that he communicates to margaret (and ultimately the reader) through his letters
but walton himself makes the claim very early in his narrative that his voyage is entirely independent, and that he basically funded the entire thing himself (with a little help from his cousin, whoever they are/were). most importantly, because he was prohibited from going to sea as a boy by his father, he served on whaling ships for years to train himself mentally and physically:
Six years have passed since I resolved on my present undertaking. I can, even now, remember the hour from which I dedicated myself to this great enterprise. I commenced by inuring my body to hardship. I accompanied the whale-fishers on several expeditions to the North Sea; I voluntarily endured cold, famine, thirst, and want of sleep; I often worked harder than the common sailors during the day and devoted my nights to the study of mathematics, the theory of medicine, and those branches of physical science from which a naval adventurer might derive the greatest practical advantage. Twice I actually hired myself as an under-mate in a Greenland whaler, and acquitted myself to admiration. I must own I felt a little proud when my captain offered me the second dignity in the vessel and entreated me to remain with the greatest earnestness, so valuable did he consider my services.
his voyage is motivated not by any sort of command from above by lifelong ambition and self-interest. he considers what he can contribute to science and maritime navigation, which, granted, serves his country as much as it serves him; but to me it is primarily his passion for the sublime beauty that the arctic represents, even if the reality is much more dangerous than he could have predicted, that drives him forward. he needs to see it for himself, to know that he can do it, no matter the cost (sound like someone else we know?)
if i had to draw a comparison between walton and any real-life polar explorer from around the time frankenstein was written it would be william scoresby, an english scientist who began his own career on whaling ships (ironically he thought the open polar sea theory that walton espouses was complete bs ā€” and he was right, lmao)
janice cavellā€™s article ā€˜The Sea of Ice and the Icy Sea: The Arctic Frame of Frankensteinā€™ has a lot more to say on this topic and iā€™d highly recommend it but i just have to include this extract here because i was so delighted to learn about some of the real people who likely inspired walton in shelleyā€™s mind:
Here, then, was material for both the Creature's journey and Walton's doomed mission. Moreover, here Mary found a surname for her Arctic captain in the list of officers who served under Vitus Bering in 1733-41: Peter Lassenius, William Walton, Dmitri Laptiew, Jego Jendauro, Dmitri Owzin, Swen Waxel, Wasili Prontischischtschew, Michailo Plautin, and Alexander Scheltinga. Walton, the sole Englishman on this list of exotically named foreigners, was in command of the Hope (MĆ¼ller, 1761:15, 26; on William Walton, see Cross, 2007:177-178). The ship's name reflects the most prominent characteristic of the fictional Walton, whose first name, Robert, may have been taken from Robert Thorne, the 16th-century originator of the open polar sea theory. Even though Walton's theories about the Arctic are opposed to Scoresby's, Mary may have intended to acknowledge Scoresby's status as both a whaler and a man of science when she had Walton train himself for his chosen career through whaling voyages.
like! the Real Waltonā€™s ship being named the Hope and ā€œthe shipā€™s name reflects the most prominent characteristic of the fictional Waltonā€ ohhhh i am NOT going to cry donā€™t LOOK at me
anyway this post doesnā€™t really have much of a point. i guess tl;dr i just think itā€™s more interesting that walton is canonically just some overly ambitious guy with big dreams and more money than he knows what to do with who is willing to hang out on gross whaling ships for half a decade rather than pursue the more respectable maritime profession because he wants what he wants on his own terms and no one elseā€™s

Started crying because I was terrrifeid I wouldnā€™t be good enough to be accepted and succeed in medical school and then I remember:
- Itā€™s Christmas and almost all my gifts are text books that I asked for because I read them for fun.
- Iā€™m ranked #1 in my grade / class
- I received 100% on all my final exams
- I started studying organic chemistry for fun when I was in 6th grade
- Iā€™m still 14. I have a time. I have no reason to worry.
Iā€™ll be fine. Imposter syndrome is just a bitch.

USA students with disabilities and disorders: LISTEN UP!
In the USA, a huge issue has gone unnoticed by our government, despite the cries of my people. Since the creation and implementation of IEPs and 504s for students with disorders and disabilities in school systems, this problem has plagued school systems on a national scale.
ā€˜What is this problem?ā€™ Is what you may ask. Well, I shall tell you from my perspective (and other students) as a female who has autism, ADHD, and GAD.
The problem is that school systems are allowing staff to discriminate and ignore students with IEPs and 504s. When I was in 9th grade, I had an English teacher who wouldnā€™t follow my IEP, which is illegal to do. Even with my case manager and parents communicating to him that he had to follow my IEP, he wouldnā€™t listen and lied about his actions. My case manager reported him to the higher ups of the school and her supervisor, but they didnā€™t even reach out to him, nor did they ever get back to us.
I was warned by many students with IEPs about this English teacher, as they also experienced the same exact situation where he refused to follow their IEPs. He was (and likely still is) the only option for 9th grade English, besides the English class for those who may have things like dyslexia or those who struggle with English in general.
I couldā€™ve taken him to court, unfortunately though, I only found that out after I moved schools.
The next year, in my new school, my new case manager ignored my concerns and refused to talk about making a few changes to my IEP. She brushed me off by saying that I would be fine.
I wasnā€™t fine.
I ended up switching to online school, where I would be at home, yet still receiving the proper education through online meetings and programs.
Those of us who are students with IEPs and disabilities or disorders, especially under the age of 18, are oppressed and our cries for help are ignored.
We are SUFFERING. IEPs are NOT a privilege, they are a NECESSITY for those of us who have it!
My best friend who also has an IEP keeps me updated on the happenings of the school I went to (the one with the English teacher mentioned in the first paragraph) about how those of us in special education or/and have IEPs are being treated.
I have researched and read of so many incidents and situations like mine.
There is a HORRIFYING amount of mistreatment of my community, my people, with disabilities, disorders, and IEPs among schools across the nation.
How could schools claim to treat everyone fairly and that consequences for discrimination will ensue, when the teachers are the ones who discriminate more than most of the students and get away with it?
We need to change, and we need to revolt against schools who let staff get away with discrimination of those of us with disabilities, disorders, and IEPs!
WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED! WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT TO EDUCATION!
To my dear readers, please share this post across social media platforms to spread the support we so desperately need. Please share this among family and friends, coworkers, and even teachers and school staff.
