in my latest T.F.P/R.I.D2015 A.U, when I say that O.P avoids all the contact they can w/ other cybertronians + Cybertron, I actually mean almost. While running around in space, helpless on what to do with the situation he’s currently in AKA rapidly developing baby cooking in their chest, O.P had the GREATEST luck of all to be able to make some friends/acquaintances w/ various spaceship crews & either solo or smallish groups of travellers. Said groups were obvs very wary &/or hostile towards Optimus/Orion at first, but most of them quickly put their varying opinions of the so-called ‘heroic’ war legend aside when it was discovered that lil’ old Op’ was sparked. And great Solus and all things forged, THE MECH’S ALL ALONE AND SPARKED!?!??????!!!!!!???? WITH NO THOUGHT OR IDEA ON WHAT THEIR GOING TO DO ONCE THEY GO INTO LABOUR IN THE [MIDDLE OF NOWHERE SPACE WITH ALSO NO SIRE TO HELP AND NO EXPERIENCE WHEN IT COMES TO BIRTH APART FROM RETURNING INSTINCTS!!!!!!??!!?!!??!!????!??????!!!!!!!]

Ye, the whole situation of O.P’s acquaintance with these mecha is very much somewhat comforting &/or sweet but still a very complicated, ball of yarn-type mess lmao

"What are you doing out here?" Cassiopeia stood by the metal staircase leading to the glass-domed hangar of the ship, at the center of which Meridian was sitting, staring through it at the starry cosmos above and around them in wonder.

The robot replied, dejected, but not tearing their eyes away from the sight before them, "Couldn't sleep."

Cassie began walking down the stairs, her fluffy slippers squeaking on the smooth floor, and cocked an eyebrow at the robot's peculiar answer, "... Do sentient robots sleep?" She asked, hesitantly, as if afraid to come across as rude or ignorant, "I didn't know that."

Meridian hummed, a whirring, metallic sound that somewhat sounded like a kitten's purr, "Not really. A robot can turn itself - uh" The robot stopped himself at the slip up, looking at their hands for a moment, shaking their head, before correcting the mistake "-themself off like a computer or a machine. But its not really like human sleeping. Lately I've been trying because, maybe, with some practice, I can learn to sleep the human way. I'd like that."

From where she was standing, coming ever closer to her friend, she noticed the robot's sheepish, slightly hopeless smile as they declared the forlorn, guileless plan they intended to put into practice. The sheer sadness of what this meant took her off guard, so much so that, for a moment, Cassie didn't know what to say.

She sat down beside them, shaking her mind back to the present and gave them a kind smile in return, "Well... trying is a good start!" The girl began, looking up at the stars as well as she wrung her hands anxiously. A thought crossed her mind, and she voiced it out loud, "Hm. Maybe I could research some ways to rewire your systems, safely, so we can figure out together a way to help you do human stuff like sleeping." She chewed on her lip, "If you'd like my help."

At that, Meridian gasped, finally looking at her, eyes practically glowing with happiness, "Oh. For real? You... you really think it could work?" Their voice, albeit synthetic and mechanic, was filled with the most hope and wonder she'd ever heard in her life.

She couldn't help but feel the same as she answered, "Well, only one way to find out!" The young inventor said with a bright, optimistic smile. If she was being completely honest, she didn't actually know if it could be done - but she was certainly going to try.

Huey, Dewey, Louie and Webby are all grown up and are in the space station. Dewey goes outside, puts on a spacesuit and goes to check the safety of the satellite. Louie also goes out with Dewey to help him, otherwise Huey made Louie go out in a spacesuit, to fix the satellite since he wasn't doing anything. At that moment Dewey said:

Dewey:"Houston, we have a problem!"

Huey hears Dewey over the communicator and says:"Dewey, what happened?! Did you fix the satellite?!"

Dewey:"Er, ugh...I did. I fixed it."

Huey:"So why do you say we have a problem?"

Dewey:"Huey, common! Can't I enjoy the great role of an astronaut?"

Huey:"Dewey, this is no joke. We're getting ready to go to Mars, and you're doing stupid things. We can't go until the satellite is fixed. Besides, this is not an act, but a serious mission. Get serious."

Dewey:"Hey, look what's on the Blueskey network? Wow, a meteor shower."

Huey:"Dewey gets serious and puts his cell phone down. Wait, did you say meteor shower?!"

Dewey:"Yeah, I saw the pebbles running. Oops, Louie, let's get out of here. Meteors are attacking us!"

Dewey:"Where is Louie?"

Huey:"We don't have Louie?! Louie, can you hear me?!"

Louie:"Here I am alone. Webby saved me at the last minute. I took off my helmet and I'll tell you this, this is the last time you sent me on a suicide mission. I could have been killed. At least I took this piece of meteor with gold. It will come in handy for my collection and Incorporation."

Huey:"Are you alive? Thank God! I thought I lost you forever."

Huey hugged Louie.

Louie:"Please don't. You're suffocating me while I'm in a spacesuit."

Huey:"Sorry, but I'm glad you're alive."

At that moment, Webby enters the station together with Dewey, who saved him from the meteor at the last moment.

Dewey:"I dew it! Oh yeah! Oh Louie you here? I'm glad you're alive."

Huey and Louie were so angry with their brother that Huey and Louie both slapped him.

Huey:"Are you even sane?! We lost an important mission?! What will the Duckburg Space Agency say to us about this?!"

Dewey:"Ok, what are you mad about? Can't I be kidding?"

Huey:"Seriously bro, we could have lost you. You still act like a little kid, even though you're all grown up!"

Dewey:"But this is the only time I could enjoy the spacewalk, is that a problem?!"

Huey:"Yes, it's huge. Our lives could have been in danger because of your lack of preparation."

Dewey:"Okay, I sympathize with the guilt. I am guilty and ashamed of having done this stupidity."

At that moment, the sound of a small burst of material coming from the satellite was heard. When Huey looked out the window to see what it was, he was surprised.

Huey:"Is that from that satellite you Dewey fixed?"

Dewey:"Yes, why? Looks like a meteor hit him."

Huey:"Oh my God! Houston, we have a problem. Definitely a real problem. DSA, can we hear you?"

DSA:"What problem?"

Huey:"The satellite in charge of telecommunications was destroyed by a meteor impact. Mission failed."

DSA:"Reception. We are sending you quick help. Just keep calm. Reception."

At that moment, the power went out in the space station.

Louie:"This is awful! Big awful! What now?"

Huey:"Nothing. Put on your space suits and helmets, turn on your cell phones so you can see. And then we'll go into the rocket. When help from DSA arrives, then we'll see what happens."

After some time, help arrived from the Duckburg Space Agency (DSA) and power was eventually restored. However, the damage was extensive.

Dewey:"At least we're alive, right?"

Huey, Louie and Webby attacked him harshly, saying, "No thanks to you!"

Dewey then cried. Huey then comforted him and said:"Come on, calm down. It's a good thing we're alive, but in the future you should be tied up somewhere, until we solve the problem. And you don't go into space alone anymore. Do you understand?"

Dewey:"I understood you. At least I have you."

Then the four of them hugged each other in their space suits. The end.

Love, Death & Robots - S1E7 - Beyond the Aquila Rift (2019)

mhmhn post-T.F.P-but-only-kinda-R.I.D2015 A.U where instead of being revived, Optimus escapes the ‘Prime void’ (which in my hc, is just a somewhat conscious Unicron using his energy to trap & mess with / manipulate O.P’s captured spark) & is able to get to the living world again (after somehow reviving themself idk) only to discover that their sparked w/ Megatron’s sparkling & then basically just wandering around the universe, avoiding all cybertronian contact they can, along with birthing & caring for their’s & Meg’s bitlet that the now parent O.P (going under their old destination Orion) names Zagreus

The Sensational Rocket Girls are a non-too-serious retro set of space heroines created by artist and storyteller Don Marquez in 2015. His (to date) four-issue series features an all female crew of space mechanics, salvage experts and adventurers operating on the edge of the solar system in the 23rd century. Picking up a mysterious distress signal, the Rocket Girls set off to discover its source, which takes them beyond the solar system and into a barely explored zone known as The Scattered Disc.

Marquez’s cover art is shamelessly based on 1950s exploitative movie posters and covers to SF pulp magazines, featuring unfeasibly tight space costumes and large breasts. Inside the comics’ pages however, the stories themselves, while undeniably camp, have a much more serious edge and the Rocket Girls themselves are depicted as intelligent and relatively normal proportioned young women. In the course of their adventures they encounter genetically-engineered half insect monsters, renegade interstellar villains and lovestruck heroines, in true classic adventures style.

For all I know, Marquez will issue further editions of the Space Girls, which I really hope is the case because they just don’t make feisty light-hearted heroines like this anymore.
