One should always have at least 2 craft projects going. That way, when one of them is messed up and misbehaving, you can switch to another, and let the first one sit there and think about what it's done.

I have finished this baby quilt for my teammate at work, or I suppose more accurately it is for her baby.
My rule when picking fabric from my stash was that it had to have a floral element to be included. I like that despite being very floral it didn’t turn out to be girly like you might expect.
And I literally spent zero dollars on it. I even pieced together batting scraps and used some binding I had leftover from a different project.

2.5 months of work, all done my hand. I'm so proud of myself. Keeping the traditions of my grandmother alive and inspired by the quilt she made me when I was 11, it folds up into a pillow.

It is not done (needs seam binding and strap), but over the weekend I made a fish purse.
The pattern is here https://www.thegirlandthelamb.com/shop/swim-along-sewing-pattern and I used EPP to make the scaled body.

Over the years, I've crafted more than 60 quilts, with a particular affinity for incorporating themes inspired by the captivating universe of Star Trek. While my passion extends to various science fiction narratives, Star Trek holds a special place in my heart. Enclosed, you'll find a collection showcasing some of the quilts I've meticulously created, each reflecting my deep admiration for this iconic franchise.

Packstone Excavation
2023, 51x44 inches, hand dyed cotton with textile discharge painting and cotton thread (hand quilted)
i was thinking about my fossil soup stones I collected in michigan last summer and naturally had to make a quilt. all the fossil shapes were hand painted with decolorant instead of appliqué as I was thinking about the process of excavation and removal.

The quilt is done and shipped!
I like it all laid out flat, but I think it is even better crumpled into organic shapes or draped around the human body. The contrast between the rigidity of the squares and the soft shapes of the textile is very pleasing.
