I wanted to change every lot in the Base game. Used a random aesthetic generator and got solar. I love how Oasis Springs already has the vibe, I am just rebuilding some of them to suit it better. This is the first one from Oasis Springs. This is built on the Pebble Burrow lot in Oasis Springs, I would recommend placing it there for the backyard to make sense. It's a 30x20 build.

Lamb Shank Baranyi 🥩 This delicious, Indian dish took hours to make. 🇮🇳 We cooked the Lamb Shanks whole in a pot coated with onions, garlic, ginger and baranayi spices. Once browned we added yogurt and water and let it simmer for 2 hours. We added raisings to the sauce, boiled rice and carmalised onions. Those Creamy Pink Lentils from South India - Done . I soaked whole pink lentils in water for about an hour. I tempered coconut oil in a pressure cooker using mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, garlic, dried red chillies, onions, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder & red chilli powder. I added in the drained lentils & pressure cooked along with some hot salted water. I finished by adding in coconut milk and simmered till it thickened. That South Indian Style Vegetarian Thali - Done Usually my recipes are all about quick cooking. But some dishes are worth taking that extra effort over. Whilst I made simple beans, the channa kurma was a bit tedious. But totally worth it Clockwise : 1. That Chickpea /Kabuli Channa Kurma I soaked the chickpeas overnight & pressure cooked them in salted water along with asafoetida & turmeric powder Paste: I did an overnight soak in water of cashews, poppy seeds, green chillies, cinnamon, black cardamom, cloves, fresh coconut & fried channa dal/skinless split bengalgram & ground to a very fine paste Puree: I tempered ghee with ginger-garlic pastes, onions, tomatoes, red chilli powder & garam masala powder. Once cool, I pureed it I tempered ghee with black cardamom, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, bayleaves & cumin seeds. I added in the paste & puree & simmered the cooked chickpeas & fresh coriander in this till done 2. Those South Indian Style French Beans I tempered coconut oil with mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chillies & onions. I cooked the beans in this & when done, I added freshly scraped coconut & fresh coriander 3. That Salad 😂 : It maybe a new year but I'm still my good old self. This my dears, is salad - cucumber & lime 4. Those whole wheat parathas /flatbreads It was tedious to make the channa but totally worth it. That Chettinad Style Chicken Thali - Done I'll be posting a few latergrams as I didn't get the chance to post them whilst I was in India. Now that I'm home in cold Sweden, I'm dreaming about the hot meals I cooked before leaving @beingbengt has joined my wannabe south Indian genes bandwagon😂 When I asked him what he'd like for dinner, instead of the usual "Can we have pasta?", more and more I'm getting requests for South Indian food! I'm NOT complaining I tempered coconut oil with ginger-garlic pastes, but I onions & coconut. I added in a preservative free Chettinad spice mix that I bought from @zaiqathespicestore, red chilli powder & tomato puree. Once cooked through, I ground this to a coarse paste I tempered coconut oil with mustard seeds & curry leaves. I added in the chicken & seared. That "I can feed Vegans!!" Thali Lunch - Done From now on I'm going to post latergrams as I'm off on Christmas Break🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄 I had an old friend dropping in after many years, from another life phase.We discussed meeting excitedly & then she dropped the Vegan Bomb on me🤦♀️😰 My goodness the pressure😰😰 I was sweating bullets! I didn't realize how hard it is to be vegan! Anyways, I came up with this & she lapped it up happily Clockwise: 1. Those Foofoo Malvani Style Peas & Potatoes I tempered vegetable oil with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, green chillies ginger-garlic pastes & onions. I added in tomatoes, crushed dried fenugreek leaves, fresh coriander, salt & a super foofoo spice mix from the Malvani region of India & cooked the fresh peas (they're in season😍) & potatoes in this till done 2. Those Kerala Houseboat Style Lentils I pressure cooked skinless split mungbeans in salted water along with asafoetida & turmeric powder. I tempered coconut oil with mustard seeds, green chillies, curry leaves, garlic & onions. I added this tempering into the simmering lentils along with scraped fresh coconut & fresh coriander 3. That freshly steamed rice 4. Those whole wheat parathas 5. That Salad😁: Cucumber & lime I was really chuffed that she loved it & even took a couple extra helpings!!! That Modified Chicken Ghee Roast - Done Whilst we liked the chicken ghee roast, for me it was too strong. It hit the back of my palate & I didn't like that. But, I don't waste food. I just needed to add something to make it taste smoother. I heated the leftover chicken & added in a cup of milk & a cup of fresh thick coconut milk & simmered along with fresh coriander. It tasted really nice after this modification!! That "Guess What I'm Making?" Meal - Done . This turned out to be a very successful experiment indeed! Clockwise : 1. Those Nutty Snake Gourds I cooked in groundnut oil & tempered it with some de-seeded scotch bonnet chillies (you can use any spicy chilli of choice), asafoetida & garlic. I cooked the snake gourd roundels in this along with cumin powder & when done, I added in freshly scraped coconut & peanut powder. . 2. That Mungachi Aamti/Dried Mungbeans gravy I pressure cooked whole green dried mungbeans in salted water along with asafoetida & turmeric powder. I tempered coconut oil with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, garlic, de-seeded scotch bonnet chilli (you can use a spicy chilli of your choice), onions, coriander powder & red chilli powder. I added this tempering into the simmering lentils along with fresh coriander, tamarind pulp & freshly scraped coconut & pressure cooked further for 3 whistles. . 3. That Freshly Steamed Rice . 4. Those Whole Wheat Parathas . 5. Those Papads/Lentil based popadums . 6. That Salad 😆 : Raw onions & lime . It turned out to be a truly wholesome thali meal and I got a 👍👌from Mangala, Morris & @beingbengt! @thegutlessfoodie's experiment was successful!
