Being assigned female at birth and being an effeminate person while questioning your gender identity is strange because I'm wondering is my gender something along the lines of an effeminate queer man or is it more like I'm just girly pop with a touch of internalized misogyny so I don't "want" to be a girl?

One Piece has really made me appreciate how fucking good and necessary a wide age range is for an ensemble cast.

If it was a crew of 10 teenagers we’d have run out of ways to switch up character dynamics a long time ago. Things would feel same-y and far less charming than what we have now, which is a crew consisting of five way-too-ambitious dudes in their late teens and early twenties, a fifteen year old who everyone treats like a baby cause he still has a spark in his eyes, two criminals in their early-to-mid 30s who despite being more mature still let the teens do whatever they want for their own joy and entertainment, a dude in his mid-40s who doesn’t realize that quitting his current job to go on a world tour with a 19 year old he just met ABSOLUTELY counts as a midlife crisis, and an old man so old he DIED. I love you Strawhat Pirates.

Brook: Literally a rockstar??? There should have been a running gag where people ask Brook for his autograph at every island they visit! It would be so funny if some villains were starstruck fans trying to keep it together during a fight!

Sanji: It would have been great if the newkama recipes came up more than once. There could have been a gag where Sanji stops in the middle of a battle to literally cook a power up for the crew. Imagine this man dicing onions in Onigashima, force-feeding Zoro a stew during his fight with King

Robin: She worked under Dragon for two years, met Sabo and Koala and maybe Ivankov, she probably knows the Army's entire plan to take down the gov and yet it never comes up! Does she know about Kuma? Nika? The five elders? Does she secretly communicate with the Rev Army????

Zoro: I love the idea of Perona teaching Zoro about fashion. It wouldn't have plot relevance but imagine him busting out some fashion tips out of nowhere every so often.

I'd love to hear more ideas, the missed opportunities here haunt me.

Hung out with him today. That was the second time we hung out one-on-one since I reached out. It hasn't hurt at all, almost.

He talked about this other friend he has, and just for a second I felt that familiar sting. 'Do they mean more to him than I do? Why is he takking about them when he's hanging out with me? Do I still fit in his life?'

I noticed it right away and got confused. 'I thought I was over that.' I didn't dwell on it. An older version of me would have. I acknowledged my feeling and considered it, but I don't think it had any substance. I don't think I have those possessive and insecure feelings around him anymore; I think it really was just a flicker of something that's gone now. I know I still do get insecure when it comes to him but I feel better now that I have an improved self-image.
