❝ i object! ❞
kazuha + albedo
summary: you as a noble should naturally marry another noble, despite your love for another. your parents had managed to pry your lover off of you and get you wedded to a powerful nobleman- that is, until your past lover comes barging through the doors on your wedding day.
cw: gn!reader, arranged/forced marriage, teeny tiny bit of alcohol, angst to comfort
what i listened to while writing: wave - wave to earth
a/n: *slowly crawls out of my cave* hey guys. it's me again😭 i randomly got the motivation to write again, idk what demons possessed me to write this in the span of 5 hours but at least i have new content!!!! i was gonna do this with more characters but kazuha and albedo were the only ones i see pulling this cheesy-typa stuff tbh
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
kazuha
“…what?”
your gaze fell down towards the wooden docks you were standing on. kazuha frowned, his grasp on your hand loosening. he was aboard the crux, and the crew was preparing to leave inazuma for another trip to liyue.
“i’m from one of the tri-commissions, kazuha,” you said defeatedly. “it’s over for us now. i’m going to be wedded as an alliance with another commission. i… i’m sorry…” but before kazuha could respond, the large ship began to sail away, his hands completely slipping away from yours.
kazuha leaned over the edge of the ship, watching your figure get smaller and smaller. though he hoped you would at least give him a wave goodbye, you simply turned around and left the docks of ritou, leaving him saddened and confused.
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
kazuha spent the next month lost in his thoughts. ink blots were all that filled the pages of his journal now that he’s lost his muse.
“it’s over for us now.”
those words played in his mind like a broken record in hopes that maybe he could find a sense of doubt from those words, just a hint that it wasn’t truly over. he’s tried to understand, truly. but the thought of losing you ate kazuha up from the inside, especially knowing that he had no control over it. there weren’t any flaws in him or you that caused this, only circumstance. and that stung his heart more than anything.
despite kazuha’s wishes and prayers, the wedding would happen either way. news eventually reached his ears that two commissions from inazuma would be joined through a marriage between the two heirs, and that was when kazuha truly felt like he was losing control. you were being swept away so suddenly, carried away in the arms of another man. what was he to do?
you were being fitted into a kimono that very second, the maids tying the knots and wrapping the fabric around your body. your limbs felt heavy like lead, your head hanging low like rotten fruit on a tree. you tried to live in a fantasy just for at least a few moments, imagining that kazuha was the one you were being wed to, not a nobleman.
kazuha almost felt like a dream now that he was gone, as if he was only a fleeting imagination before you had to wake up to reality. the ephemeral touches, the honey-dipped sunsets, the smell of salt and the sea. that was all simply an illusion. you had to go back to the wooden floors, the inked papers and the melting candles. this was reality now, where everything was out of your control.
“this is all for the sake of our family, you know that?” your father’s voice broke your train of thought. “think of this as a way to pay us back for raising you. you’re much better off with a nobleman than that wandering fugitive anyways.”
you grit your teeth and tightened your fist, your knuckles whitening. “i know.”
the ceremony went through in a daze, the sacred sake tasting bitter on your tongue. a part of you felt like you should’ve just jumped on that ship along with kazuha. regret sat in your stomach like a sickly bag of bleach. but you knew it was for the better, both for you and your family.
after the vows, the priest then asked, “does anyone here object to the wedding?”
a heavy silence followed. the two of you were heirs to the biggest commissions in inazuma, it was obvious that nobody would dare to object this wedding. your gaze fell further down in defeat. it was really happening now.
“i object!”
your head snapped up from the ground and turned towards the voice. at the end of the crowd stood kazuha, the wind blowing softly through his hair, the golden light from the sunset outlining his silhouette.
emotions rushed through your chest: happiness, regret, sadness, doubt, and guilt. the cup you were holding dropped to the ground and shattered. the crowd began to murmur and gossip.
“kazuha,” you breathed out.
the crowd parted to make way for your lover, who confidently walked towards you and held his hand out. everything around you seemed to suddenly disappear the moment your fingertips met his. it was only the two of you now.
“kazuha… what on earth are you doing here?”
“i just need you to answer one question for me,” kazuha said softly. “do you trust me?”
by the way he eagerly interlocked his fingers with yours, his intentions were obvious. if you were to answer this question, it would mean throwing away everything you’ve known thus far: your family, your possessions, your wealth, your inheritance, your responsibilities. everything. but with the way kazuha was silently pleading you with his eyes… how could say no?
you let out a shaky breath. “i do.”
kazuha merely smiled in return, his eyes softening as if to tell you that everything was going to be alright. that he understood your choices, and that all you need to do was take this final leap of faith.
“hurry up kazuha!” beidou’s voice interrupted. a few meters away, the crux was anchored to the docks, the crew eagerly waiting to set sail. “the guards might come and take ya anytime soon!”
kazuha held your hand tightly and began running towards the docks, the two of you giggling as he helped you up on the ship. the nobleman, priest, and the crowd all watched in disbelief as you hopped onto the crux, sailing away with the samurai.
the crew cheered as you and kazuha shared a kiss of reunion, the anchor lifting from the seafloor and the two of you sailing away into the golden sun, just like you were meant to be.
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
albedo
“i…see.” albedo’s eyes wander off to nowhere in particular after hearing your explanation. he blinks a few times as if to confirm that he wasn’t dreaming.
“it’s not your fault, albedo, and neither is it mine,” you added. “i hope you understand.”
for the first time since albedo was created, he feels numb. his fingertips lose grip as it all finally settles in. you’re leaving him for another man.
of course, he knows that’s not really the case. albedo understands your circumstance as well as the political powers at play, but at the end of the day, that’s what’s happening, right? you’re being wedded off to another man, which of course means you’ll have to leave him.
and when he sees you take off your ring- the ring he gave you- and put it on his desk, his heart shatters. you silently take your leave, disappearing into the dragonspine snow. albedo’s gaze is immediately pulled to the golden band on his desk, which seemed so much duller now that it wasn’t on your finger.
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄
projects seem more pointless than ever before, and piles of crumpled up drafts fill albedo’s trash bin. he’s taken down all the portraits of you in his home because it was too painful to bear, yet he can’t deny that he was still hopelessly in love with you. the thought of you standing at the altar with another man made albedo positively sick. and there was nothing he could do about it.
he even decided to abandon his projects to visit the city in hopes that he could catch a glimpse of you, but you never seemed to be there. he’d wander for what seemed like hours, only for it to be in vain. ‘of course,’ he tells himself, ‘they’d be busy preparing for the wedding.’
the ring in his pocket weighs heavier than before. he takes it out and twirls it in his hand, the afternoon sun reflecting off of it almost blindingly. the church bells ring in the distance, as well as the melody from the church organ.
wait… the organ is playing.
albedo clasps his hand around the ring tightly before frantically running up the stairs towards the cathedral. the scent of flowers fills his nostrils as he makes his way past the statue of barbatos and climbs the final flight of stairs until he’s met with the wooden doors of the cathedral.
he won’t lose you. he can’t lose you.
albedo’s hands feel heavy as his palm rests flat against the door. once the organs stop playing, the faint voice of a priest could be heard from outside. he can hear the nobleman say his vows, then you. his flat palm turns into a fist as he contemplates what to do next. he’s never liked crowds, nor has he ever liked being the center of attention. this could certainly ruin his reputation, and hell, the clan you’re getting married to might even get him fired but-
the thought of you being by his side again gives albedo more than enough courage to push against the doors.
“does anyone object to this wedding?”
with one strong push, the doors swing open. sunlight spills into the cathedral and forms a path of light leading to you. and dear lord barbatos, you look breathtaking.
albedo watches as you turn around in confusion. the ring you were holding in one hand clatters to the floor, echoing down the hall.
though albedo had planned on walking towards you, he couldn’t help but start running down the aisle. panting, he turns to the priest. “i object this wedding. i am their rightful lover, am i not?”
you step down from the altar, your hands reaching to caress his face and gently wipe the sweat from his forehead. “even after everything i told you… you still came. i tried so hard to hurt your feelings, so why are you here?”
despite the tears pooling in your eyes, you’re smiling. and that’s all albedo needed to see. “i must be going insane, y/n. i’m not one to act like this.”
he kneels down right then and there, holding up the ring with two of his fingers. “will you marry me?”
you take a moment to look down at albedo, who’s kneeling before you in a silent plead. the faint bags under his eyes are proof enough that he’s missed you. your family would hate you for this. doing this would mean to be shunned and disowned from your clan. the support you once had would dissipate in an instant. albedo might be put in danger as well. but you’d rather have nothing and albedo rather than everything but albedo.
“yes,” you said before sliding the ring on your ring finger, right where it belonged. you grab albedo’s arm and run out the cathedral, much to the protest of your family sitting at the pews.
you skip down the steps in a hurry before turning your head to see albedo smiling softly. you’re dolled up, and the afternoon glow of the sun hits your face just perfectly. and with his ring resting on your finger, albedo can’t help but simply adore you.
‘you are killing me softly,’ he thinks, ‘yet you seem to be the only thing keeping me alive.’

Guiding My Heart
Pairing: Tav X Astarion, Reader X Astarion. Gender neutral. Content/Content Warning: Panic attacks, anxiety, fluff, hurt, comfort, kissing, 2200 words. Summary: You'd finally made it to Baldur's Gate, unfortunately the city overwhelmed you in ways you hadn't considered possible. Astarion finds you panic stricken, hiding beneath a bridge. He does his best to comfort you and guide you through the sunset streets back to camp. Author's Note: Hi guys thank you so much for the love on my last fic! Wanted to do a comfort anxiety fic, so please bear in mind panic attacks are depicted in here. Thank you again to Suri for the wonderful reads and edits!
The chance to regain your bearings never came, as you were flushed down the street by a torrent of people. You watched with garbled breaths as your companions navigated them easily, all while you were pushed back further.
Heart pumping, nerve tingling desperation took hold of you; the kind you’d only ever felt during the heat of battle. It was fight or flight, as you ducked into a bricked out dead end.
Were you dying? Your chest pounded and ached as though you were dying. Upon examining yourself, there was scarcely a wound to be seen. Checking yourself over for injuries only heightened your fear. What if it was poison?
The numbing weakness in your legs grew, you clutched the wall for support.
“Darling, darling? Whatever is the matter?” The sweet words of your lover filled the hollow of the underpass.
You could only respond in the form of irregular gasps. Fingers, slender and cold, held steadfast to your waist. You gave up control and allowed them to lower you onto a nearby crate. He crouched down beside you and pried your balled up fist away from your heart, replacing your hand with his own.
“Did something frighten you, my dear?” His forehead crinkled with concern, before being undercut by an attempt at humour. “I’ve only ever heard it beat that fast for me, but I suspect this time I’m not the cause.” He shot you a reassuring smile, belied by a tremble in his voice.
“Started panicking. Don’t know why,” you choked.
He looked at you sympathetically, before rising to his feet. “Won’t be a moment my dear, stay here.” And with that he ran off, back the way you came. You could hear murmurings outside. Those of your partner’s hurried reassurance and that of your companions, voices raised with concern and inquisition.
The voices began to die down, as did the palpitations in your heart. Astarion rounded the corner back towards you, but slowed his approach upon seeing your distress. He moved gracefully and feline, as if you were prey not to be disturbed.
You looked behind him worriedly, but were relieved when none of your other companions followed behind. They didn’t need to see you like this. You didn’t want them to see you like this. Ideally you didn’t want anybody here, but if it were to be anyone you were glad it was him.
“Now then.” He crouched down beside you, dabbing your forehead with a frilled cloth. Cooling relief washed over you as he held the palm of his hand against your temple.
“Feels good,” you sighed, leaning into his touch.
“Ah yes, I thought that might help. You’re terribly warm.”
His gentle touch and the soothing cadence of his voice were enough to calm you, but the unpleasant tingle of your limbs persisted, as did your erratic breathing.
“Sorry for all of this, Astarion.”
“For what?” he mumbled, tucking a piece of hair behind your ear.
“I don’t know what’s happening to me. You only just got back, you finally get to see it in daylight and I’m ruining it.”
“Don’t be silly! We’re hardly leaving tomorrow. I’ll have plenty of time to wander the sunlit streets.”
Despite his reassurance, your eyes began to well. Something about the rise in his tone unsettled you and like a toddler crying over their parent’s temper, you began to sob.
“Shit,” he muttered, looking around desperately; his face an entanglement of hurt and bewilderment. “I didn’t mean to upset you, my darling.” His hands clamped over yours, desperate to provide you with any sort of comfort. “Did I do something wrong?”
You tried to speak, but all that came out were incoherent whimpers. He looked at you with panic stricken eyes, hands still holding firmly onto yours.
This wasn’t fair, he didn't know how to deal with this sort of thing. You were supposed to support him, you-
“My love.” He looked at you sincerely, a slight smile gracing his lips; one of those rare, genuine smiles, few ever got to see. “Let’s stay here a little while longer.” He planted a tender kiss on the corner of your mouth and held you close.
Tears of a new source began to flow and there was no holding them back. His fingers curled around yours; you were drowning and they were your anchor. You tried to wipe away your tears, but he wouldn’t let you.
“Gods, darling, no. Think of all that dirt and those… fluids- from your enemies I mean, not yours.” He pulled another handkerchief from his pocket (did this man just have an endless supply?) and gently, he dabbed at your eyes and cheeks.
“Thank you,” you sniffled.
“There we are.” He looked you up and down, appreciating his work. “All cleaned up! Shame about your makeup, but nothing we can’t fix.”
Red soreness blazed across your cheeks and seared your eyes with swollen intensity. A quick glance into a nearby puddle revealed the inky smear that enveloped your eyes. Gods, what a sight you were and yet he looked at you with such affection.
You lamented his hands detaching from yours, until they returned to your thigh, stroking soothing circles up and down your leg. Lodged deep within the pulsating heart of the city, you'd finally found your pocket of serenity. Unfortunately your respite was short lived as adolescent bellows converged on your hiding spot.
Astarion’s ears twitched in their direction and his face warped from one of contentment to bitter irritation.
“Oi, oi hanging out under a bridge.”
“Like a couple of lovesick trolls.”
You rolled your eyes at their childish remarks. Astarion, however, lacked the patience needed when dealing with youths. He shot them a glare so piercing, it silenced them in an instant. He was a stray cat, territorial and fierce. A non-existent hiss threatened them from the shadows and like a pair of puppies, they whimpered and scurried out of view.
“Was that really necessary?” you laughed hoarsely.
“What? You can’t honestly expect me to sit here listening to children babbling on.”
You stifled your laughter. “You’re such an old man. You used to be like that too, you know?”
“I’ll have you know, I was never the sort.”
“I sometimes wonder about that myself,” he laughed bitterly, changing the subject. “Are you feeling better now, love?”
“Hmm, I wonder what kind of child you were.”
You closed your eyes and nodded. “We need to get back to the others.” You rose to your feet and Astarion joined you, a supportive hand on your lower back.
“Very well then, I’ll lead the way.” His fingers locked with yours as he led you back into the sunlight. He lit up literally and figuratively, his skin beaming like a pearl in the warm light and his mouth curling into a soft smile. He was truly in his element. “Which route would you prefer? We have the scenic back alleys of Baldur’s Gate and the even more picturesque sewers down below.”
“We can go the normal way. I don’t think I’ll subject you to the sewers just yet.” You smirked knowingly. Your adventure would lead you down into the sewers eventually, why wouldn’t it?
With a guiding hand he led you away from the dark alleyways and into the teeming streets. You did your best to suppress your rising panic. You focused on the prevailing scraps of nature: trickling water, rustling leaves and the painless cry of birds up above. Astarion, on the other hand, had been suspiciously quiet. You noticed how his eyes lit up with delight, as he stared across the street.
“What’s over there?” you asked.
“Huh? Oh, you mean that.” He pulled you in closer; one hand wrapped around your waist, the other still clasped in yours. He pointed across the street. “I’ve always wanted to visit the florist’s over there. The flowers have the most delightful fragrances.”
“How come you’ve never- ah.” You trailed off sadly, already knowing the answer.
“They always close before sundown. It’s rather unfortunate Cazador never let me bring anything home other than victims. A bouquet of flowers could have done wonders for that tacky little entranceway.”
“Well, we could always go together.”
“As much as I’d love to tour the city with you, you’ve had a long day. Let’s get you back to camp first, hm?”
“Okay, we’ll come back some other time.” You said, making a mental note of the store’s exact location.
The sun began to retreat, lost to the shadows of the upper city. There was no quieting of the streets, as the fading light gave way to an influx of people; those departing their homes and businesses, ready for whatever nightly activities they had planned. Astarion held you near to him, skillfully threading you past any who came too close.
While you had no intention of stopping, a prominent display of cakes and pastries caught your eye. You ground to a halt, dragging Astarion with you. Unnatural hues of reds, pinks, greens and blues peered at you from behind the glass, like rows of infernal eyes. Their construction was intricate and put the very store they were displayed in to shame.
“Quite darling aren’t they?” he said, standing beside you.
“They’re pretty. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted something so beautiful.”
“Speak for yourself,” he replied fondly, looking through the glass; his reflection non-existent, as he looked between you and the cakes. “A sweet treat for my sweet treat.”
You quirked an eyebrow. “Yeah, we should really be getting back.”
The sun had almost fully set, your surroundings becoming a drab greyscale of abandonment. As you got further and further away the sounds of the city began to fade, muffled behind crumbling properties and streaming waters. It was peaceful, walking together in comfortable silence, firmly attached to one another.
“I could get used to this, you know? Strolling through derelict back alleys with you by my side,” Astarion mused.
“I’d like that. Wouldn’t mind a change of scenery though, a bit more greenery perhaps.”
Astarion coughed nervously, turning to face you. “I was wondering if maybe you wanted to talk about what happened earlier?”
“I don’t- I don’t really know what there is to say,” you stammered in response.
“It’s alright, we’ll work through it together. We always do.” He flashed you a resolute smile.
“You don’t think it’s a little pathetic freaking out over nothing?”
“The city can be quite overwhelming, I suppose. Not that I would know, I’ve lived here for hundreds of years.” Just like him to humble brag. “I’ve done my fair share of ‘freaking out’ on our little adventure, far be it for me to judge you.”
You wrapped your arms around him, hiding your face in the fabric of his armour. “Yeah, I guess I’m just not used to it. Sorry, again.”
“Oh stop it.” He returned the gesture and held you in his arms. You stood together silent in the moonlight, rocking against one another, all while steely waters lapped against the canal wall.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been anywhere so… populated. I feel trapped, like a rat almost.”
He gave you a once over. “Well you certainly don’t look rodent like. The taste is significantly better, I might add.”
“I wish I was a rat, then I could just run and hide in a nice wall.”
He hummed in contemplation. “I know it might be odd for me to be the one saying this, but perhaps running away isn’t the best option? We’ve faced all our problems head on so far, surely this is no different?”
You buried your face back into his chest, your agreement coming out as a muffled groan. “But what if it happens again? What if it happens while we’re doing something important?”
He rested his chin atop your head, arms still encircling your waist. “I’ll be with you, so you don’t need to worry.” He pulled back to look you in the eyes. “Just don’t stray too far from me, okay?” His tone was steady and confident, but there was a desperate and needy look in his eyes. A far worse person could take advantage of such adoration. You couldn’t let that happen, you’d never let anyone use him ever again.
You cupped his face in your hands, doing your best to look as sincere as possible within the eyes that reflected you. “I’m not going anywhere. Especially not while Cazador’s still alive.”
Satisfied with this answer, he leaned in and pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was firm and tender, a silent act to seal the promise between you both.
“Right, we should get back before one of them burns the entire camp down,” you said looking off into the distance concernedly.
“Always a possibility when you’re not around.”
The hearty chatter and crackling fire were a welcoming sight, as you approached camp. None of the others had noticed the two of you yet and you were determined to have one last moment alone with your lover. Feeling at ease, you asked him one final question.
“Astarion?”
“Yes, my sweet?”
“Do you wanna go on a date with me?” You grinned sheepishly, lips brushing against his.

Sunsets and footballers (Part 70)
Lucy Bronze x Reader (57) / Alexia Putellas x Character (27) & Jordan Nobbs x Leah Williamson (13)
Masterlist (other parts here)
((**2.5k**))
I recommend reading the last 5+ parts first!
((**Sorry for the lack of posting. Life and... procrastination getting in the way. I'll try to post more, starting with smaller chapters. Much love! Jae.**))
Jordan hadn’t realised that she’d instinctively sought the comfort of Leah by grabbing her hand until she felt a soft squeeze. Realising, she dropped Leah’s hand just as quickly as she’d grabbed it and tried to not look at her. It wasn’t too difficult though, as the room in front of them was much more interesting. It resembled the size and structure of a warehouse space, though it was set up for content. There were different areas for interviews, photos, videos, there were different sports brands moving throughout, clothes overflowing racks, and so much more. The pets were great to see –Blu whined from her arms and his head darted around, his eyes overwhelmed and excited not only by the amount of people, but by the pets too. He loved to play, though his stamina was awful. This is one thing she missed most about not having Leah around. Those two were always playing together.
“You’re alright, mate,” Leah calmed as she stroked his head while tucked up against Jordan’s chest with one of her arms. Jordan relished the feel of Leah’s arm brushing up against her chest lightly as she pet him.
“Madness, right?” Beth chuckled excitedly. Of course she was in her comfort zone.
She spotted Viv and joined her across the room.
“Are you just going to keep standing there?” Jen asked in her amused, wondering tone.
Jordan had no idea and so Leah jumped in.
“Where do we even start..?”
Jen pointed across them and to the area set up with tables of food and drink. Standing right in front of it was the person you’d always expect to find near the food. The pair chuckled when they saw her stuffing her mouth. “She’ll sort you out.”
Jordan shook her head and she couldn’t help the smile cross her face as she wandered over to the food table followed closely by Leah.
“Hey, mate.”
Lucy turned around mid-chew. Her eyes lit up as she saw them both. She gulped down her bite and gave them a little hug while she did so, with a pat for Blu. “Hey you two. You came! I really didn’t think you would but YFN knew you would.”
“Of course we would,” Leah laughed.
“What’s happening?” Jordan asked. “You’re usually eating but you look like you’re stress eating at the moment. Feeling guilty?”
Lucy gave a sheepish grin, having been caught. Jordan had known her for so long. “Just a bit-”
Jordan’s expression had her rolling her eyes as she looked over towards YFN. “-a lot. I didn’t expect it to become what it has. I just wanted to distract her so I could organise her birthday next week.”
Lucy’s expression was obvious regret as she watched her. Jordan followed her eyes to where YFN was. She was sitting at a table with piles of paperwork and her laptop in front of her. Sitting next to her was Alex Scott, though YFN was talking to some Lumos employees who nodded and left. She was obviously organising everything and Jordan always loved to watch her in boss mode. She seemed very tired, though, but that didn’t stop the smile lighting her face. She looked over at the trio and her face lit up from its weariness. She waved at the group as her attention was quickly taken up again by someone else.
“Are you hiding?” Leah asked.
Lucy shook her head and grabbed the plates of food she had on the table in front of her.
“Just stress eating,” Jordan laughed as the trio wandered over to join the table.
“I didn’t want… this,” Lucy grunted. “It just got so out of hand. Everybody jumped on board like the tavern dinner.”
“Have you even spoken to anyone about the birthday plans yet?” Leah murmured as they got closer.
“Only a few. I was hoping you two would distract her so I’d have a better chance to. I’ve been hovering because I feel like someone’s going to run into her. Now be quiet about it… oh and don’t mention Ridley.”
The pair didn’t have a chance to question that before they reached the table and instead shared a look. They each greeted the pair at the table and unsurprisingly, Leah fell straight into conversation with Alex from her seat next to Jordan. The pair were close, though never in a way beyond friendship. Truth be told, she enjoyed seeing Leah interacting with her friend.
“I missed you,” YFN groaned into her as they hugged and then acknowledged Blu. “Hi little man. I missed you too.”
“I missed you more,” Jordan admitted as she held her for longer than she expected. She really did miss her friend. YFN held her until Jordan released first with tears in her eyes that she tried to cover.
“Got a bit carried away, did we?” YFN asked as Lucy put the obscene amount of food down in front of her with a kiss to the temple.
“I know you like options… think of it as tapas, little one.”
She rolled her eyes with a smile that only Lucy brought out of her. “That too, but I was talking about you hoovering. I saw you eating your feelings, Luce. Or rather… inhaling them.”
Jordan chuckled as she placed Blu down on the chair next to her and watched as Lucy wrapped an arm around YFN, holding her softly. It seemed Lucy was still very much feeling guilty and protective of her injuries, and Jordan felt a pang of empathy in her chest. She was still so broken, and she could see her wince at each wrong movement, though she did try to hide it. For Lucy’s sake, she imagined.
“Do you need somewhere to stay tonight?”
Jordan felt Leah shift next to her, having heard the question, and somehow, she knew she was listening to her response. Jordan wasn’t sure what brought out the sudden pride in her as she responded.
“Blu and I are actually staying with Leah tonight.” She said, smiling at Leah who paused her sentence just to smile back and share a moment. Enough was enough. Jordan wanted her. She knew that. And although unexpected, tonight she wanted to show Leah just how much she still cared for her. She felt ready.
Jordan turned back to the couple in front of her. Lucy nodded, her eyes flickering between the two. Though YFN was smiling kindly and… knowingly. Like she already knew.
YFN POV
“Sounds perfect.” Silence hung for a second and as she usually did, YFN broke it to keep the conversation flowing. “Did anyone explain to you two what’s happening here?”
“Nope.”
“Okay so Lucy sort of took the opportunity to ask around to get some people interested in meeting up today and introducing them to our company but it seems things have gotten a little out of hand…” Lucy looked apologetic as YFN’s eyes flickered around the room, making sure everything was running smooth. “So everyone is getting involved as much or as little as they like. Before you do anything, there’s our legal team over there dealing with legality when it comes to us posting content et cetera. Then there’s the photography over there… interviews there… tik tok content there… Nike have set up there… Adidas there… there’s several clothing or sports brands set up to promote themselves and find new brand ambassadors but they’re under strict instructions to not approach anyone, I want only the interested footballers to approach them instead.” She looked over to the booths set up. “Though they have been pretty sneaky with their little signs…” she chuckled as she watched one of the sports drink brands holding up a board saying ‘JOIN THE DARK SIDE LJ’ as Lauren laughed from afar. “Food and drink over there… let the lads there know if you want anything and they’ll get it. Lots of hungry women here… and I’ll be doing the pet interviews over here starting again soon, just having a little break for now. Oh and the podcast.”
“So you are starting the podcast?” Leah asked.
“I think it’ll be a great weekly thing to do to keep up with current events and have guest speakers.”
“Thanks for throwin’ my name out there,” Alex grinned at Leah. “I think it’s great. We’ve been chattin’ about it a lot and I think YFN, Jill and I are going to each bring something different to it. We were going to start today if Jill can get here.”
“She’s coming from Manchester?”
“Have you looked around? People are comin’ from everywhere. It’s crazy.” They shared a laugh at that as they couldn’t help but look around the packed room again.
“How did you even manage all of this?” Leah asked.
“Well we spoke to a few of the girls who were over last night-”
“-you mean the whole Arsenal team?”
“Basically. And they messaged around and then it sort of became this. To be honest, I think it was just perfect timing being everyone’s day off and most of the girls didn’t arrive until just before you two. Everyone was sleeping in and word was spreading. I’ve just been trying to stop the bleeding all morning. More food. More table. Backdrops. Cameras. Film equipment. Luckily our staff is so properly vetted – they’ve all jumped in feet first. I was worried we’d be drowning for a second, but everything’s going well…”
“You’re doing an amazing job…” Lucy murmured to her. Her heart fluttered as she leant into her a little more. She knew she’d be sleeping well tonight.
“Thanks, Luce. Thank you for getting everyone together.”
She was saying that for Lucy to know that she did appreciate her effort, and to try and take some of that guilt away of course.
“I’ll give you more notice next time…” She joked half-heartedly.
“I’d very much appreciate that,” she laughed in response as her phone vibrated. She looked down, wondering if it was Joe again, excited with her updates. But it wasn’t. Her eyes widened as she answered.
“Hey… did you get my messages?”
“Sí,” Alexia responded almost normally. “I would like to come.”
YFN had been trying to get in contact with her all morning and had invited her to their little open day of course, thinking it might be a welcome distraction. She never thought she’d say yes, though.
“Okay… um…” She turned to Lucy who took her key from her pocket and gestured to the phone, knowing exactly what she was going to ask. Her Lucy. It was these little things that made her adore her so much. “Okay, Lucy is on her way to get you. She’ll be there soon!”
“Okay. Can I bring Chiquito?”
YFN hesitated. Ridley adored Chiquito more than anything. He was a mini Ridley. Her little man. She’d left him with Alexia which confirmed what YFN already knew. Ridley was completely and utterly in love with her. “Uh… yes of course you can bring Chiquito. Everyone has brought their pets actually. I’ll be doing pet and player interviews if you’d like to but we’ll discuss it when you get here.”
She shared a look with Lucy whose thinking lines appeared on her forehead at the mention of Chiquito.
“See you soon, Blau.”
“See you Ale.”
She hung up and Lucy tilted her head in question.
“She sounds… surprisingly okay,” YFN murmured.
Lucy frowned. So did she. They both knew that was bad. Alexia had shut down her emotions which meant one thing… she would break.
Lucy sighed and leant forwards, her lips finding YFN’s, her hand cradling her cheek. The softest of kisses.
“I’ll be back soon, little one,” she said as she kissed her forehead and stood. “You all look after her, please. She’s fragile and refuses to believe it sometimes.”
YFN managed to slap her hip as she walked away, and Lucy was unable to stop herself from looking over her shoulder at her as she was leaving. She smiled when she caught her eye. It should be illegal to look that good, YFN thought.
Her attention was drawn back to the table at the eyes that were avoiding her. She sighed. “Lucy said not to mention Ridley, right?”
Their faces answered the question.
“Of course she did. That woman… hm. Well, because Alexia is coming, I feel like you all need to know what’s happening so we can all help the situation because I can’t exactly move quickly and people are bound to harass Alexia because it’s… well… Alexia.”
“Did something happen with them finally?” Alex asked.
“You know Ridley?” Leah asked Alex.
“The hot bisexual? Impossible to not when everyone is talking about her. You know how the girls are when a hot new single women enters our world,” she laughed. “And I sort of put two and two together with those photos online of you all at lunch the other day. They looked very friendly.”
“At lunch?!” Jordan asked.
“I handled it…” YFN murmured. “They took them down but a few people know. Anyways… please keep it to yourselves, just take this information and try to make Alexia feel comfortable…”
“They finally did it then?” Leah asked.
“I’m… not sure. Ridley is gone. That’s all.”
“Gone?”
“Gone. There’s a good chance you won’t see her again. She… does this. She doesn’t get close to people. She stopped by last night and said goodbye about 3am. I’ve been awake ever since. Alexia is still in her apartment with Chiquito.”
They didn’t say anything.
“So be kind to Alexia please and don’t mention it… and try to steer conversations away from relationships. They nodded, understanding and already empathising. She saw Jordan look at Leah with longing and then hiding her expression.
They spoke for a little longer, and others came over to the table to chat and introduce their dogs. Eventually, her phone started buzzing again.
“Lucy’s calling…” she murmured, wonderingly. She answered the call.
“Love, Alexia has someone coming from Spain and they’ll be there soon-”
“-i’m sorry,” Alexia cut off, presumably from the passenger seat of the car. “I didn’t tell her to come. I didn’t know she would come-”
“-hey, that’s okay!” YFN responded with a laugh. She wanted Alexia to be comfortable and give her everything she needed right now. It was a positive sign that someone had come to be with Alexia when she needed it. It meant she’d been talking and opening up. “The more the merrier, and more won’t hurt looking around at this place already.”
“You don’t understand. Little one…” Lucy’s voice faded out as YFN realised why they were so nonchalant about the situation. Across the far side of the room, one of the Lumos workers entered, gesturing the new guest inside the content warehouse.
She’d be lying if she didn’t say that her heart skipped a beat at the little figure of Ona Batlle entering the room.

Birthday Wishes - Arthur Leclerc
<word count - 1657>
Tonight was going to be the third date you would have with Arthur, and you were beyond excited. You had immensely enjoyed the other two dates you had been on with him, and he truly was one of the sweetest guys you had ever had the pleasure of meeting.
He had said he was going to meet you at the restaurant, so you got yourself ready so that you could be there a bit early. You didn't want to come across as too eager, but being early never hurt anyone.
Thankfully, the restaurant was a short walk from your apartment, so you set off in the mild Monaco sunset. When you arrived and walked into the restaurant, you scanned the room, but there was no sign of Arthur anywhere.
You walked up to the front of house, ready to ask for the table since you assumed he wasn't there yet. "Hi, how can I help you?" the kind faced lady at the desk asked with a smile.
"I've got a reservation for two, I'm pretty sure it should be under Leclerc?" you asked, remembering that Arthur had told you about the reservations. "I think someone is already here, follow me," she said, walking out through the restaurant and taking you to one of the tables near the back.
Then you spotted Arthur, sweetly smiling at you as you approached. His eyes were glued to you through your every move, not able to get over how stunning you looked. He scrambled to stand and greet you as the waitress walked away.
"Hey, wow, you look absolutely incredible," he complimented, pulling you in for a hug and kissing your cheeks.
"Thank you very much," you blushed, never getting used to him complimenting you. "How are you?" you asked as he pulled your chair out for you - just like a true gentleman. "I'm great thanks, you?" He countered, pushing your chair in before sitting back down on his own. "Yeah, good thanks," you nodded, picking up the menu.
Both of you ordered what you wanted, and you were glad to be able to talk to him. "What have you been up to today?" you asked, gazing at him from across the table. "All of my family came over, like my Mom and my brothers, so it was pretty hectic," he smiled, his dimples becoming more prominent.
"Any special occasion?" you asked, knowing that the whole of his family was often very busy within the world of motorsports. "It's actually my birthday today," He sheepishly said, emitting the detail that he'd rescheduled family dinner to come out with you.
"Arthur! You should've told me, we could've done something more special," you playfully scolded with feigned anger.
"Being with you is special enough for me," he quietly muttered, so quiet, in fact, that you barely heard it. You weren't even sure if you were meant to hear it, so you smiled warmly at him.
From across the table, Arthur took your hand and held it in his, your fingers slotting together like pieces of a puzzle. "Happy birthday, Arthur," you said as his thumb mindlessly ran up and down your skin. "Thank you, Y/N," he responded.
A few moments later, an idea popped into your head. "Excuse me for a second, I've got to use the bathroom," you said, standing and walking in the direction of the bathroom. When you were certain that Arthur couldn't see you, you slipped off to the front of house.
"Excuse me, it's my friend's birthday today, and I was wondering if we could do something for it?" you asked, approaching the desk, "I know I should have given notice, but I only just found out it's his birthday, sorry," you rushed, not wanting them to feel pressured.
"Of course we can, you're with the young man in the corner, yes?" she confirmed, and you were excited to see what they had up their sleeve.
"Yes, thank you so much!" you thanked, walking back the way you came to avoid suspicion from Arthur. "Ah you're back, I was starting to think you'd ran away from me," He joked, glad to have you back.
He had dated a fair few girls recently, but none of them could bring him the same sense of calm and contention like you could. It was like a strange feeling of familiarity, even if he hadn't known you long.
"I couldn't run from you, especially on your birthday," you lightly chuckled, taking his hand back in yours from across the table.
The two of you finished your main courses, and your plates were cleared away. You kept on looking over his shoulder to spot if they were coming, but you were trying to not make it look obvious.
Arthur just assumed you'd seen a famous person - you were in Monaco after all. "Look, I know tonight is far from over, but I was just wondering if-" He started, but was interrupted by you starting to sing happy birthday as one of the waitresses appeared in front of you with a cake.
There was a sparkler, spitting sparks of light up in little shoots of orange. Of course, there were the usual candles, their crimson flames dancing in the still air of the restaurant. A few people around you joined in as you sang, the cake being placed in front of Arthur.
His face was lit up, but you couldn't tell if it was the candles or the pure joy in his near Cheshire cat grin. He couldn't help but stare at you through the flames, wondering how he manged to be on a date with someone so thoughtful.
As the song came to a close, you told him, "Make a wish! But don't tell me, or else it won't come true,". Arthur didn't even have to think twice about what his wish was going to be, and he blew out the candles as people around cheered for him.
The other diners in the restaurant resumed the normal operations of the night, and the smile on his face was priceless. Every ounce of joy he had in his body was being put on full display for you to see. "I'll say it now, I don't know what kind of cake this is, so I'm sorry if you don't like it," you nervously chuckled, not having thought that through before.
"It could be my least favourite in the world and I am still going to eat it since you went through the effort to get it for me," he said, not really caring how cliche it sounded as the words left his mouth. "Would you like a slice?" He asked, picking the candles and sparklers out of the sponge.
"Yes please," you chirped, passing him your plate, "But birthday boy gets the first slice, I don't make the rules," you laughed, holding your arms up defensively.
"You're right, but, I think the birthday boy has the complete authority to overturn that rule when there is a beautiful lady in front of him who deserves the cake more," he said, plating up a slice for you and passing it over to you.
"Unfortunately, I can't argue with the birthday boy, so I will just have to deal with the burden of having the first slice," you laughed with feigned hurt, waiting for him to get his slice before starting yours. "And, luckily for you, chocolate just so happens to be my favourite," he said, swallowing his mouthful of pillowy chocolate sponge.
"I didn't get a choice, so I'm glad you like it," you told him. It was the thought that counted, but there was just a certain feeling that getting your favourite cake on your birthday provoked.
"Thank you for this, I really appreciate it," he said, unable to quash the tingling feeling that spread across his chest, and the butterflies that fluttered around in his stomach. He felt this way on your first date, but the intensity increased every time he saw you.
You collared the waiter over to pay the bill, fully prepared to pay for dinner as the present you weren't able to give him since you had only just found out that it was his birthday. "Oh, no, allow me," he dismissed the unspoken offer, gently pushing your hand away from the card reader.
"It's your birthday, the least I can do is get you dinner," you told him, going for the machine again. "And because it's my birthday, I want to treat you," he said, quickly tapping it on the reader with a beep.
"Next time, it's on me," you told him, with a stern yet playful tone to your voice. You had said that after your first date, and your second, but he clearly wasn't one for listening to your instruction.
You stayed for a short while after, discussing what you were getting up to the next day, and when you were both free. "After you," he said, opening the door for you as you walked out into the Monaco night.
"Thank you for dinner tonight, I've had a wonderful time," you smiled, standing beside him under the moonlight. "It's my pleasure, I've had a brilliant time too," he told you, watching as your eyes glinted in the luminance of the moon.
It was almost as if all of a sudden, h was bombarded with these overwhelming feelings of love and wonder. He just wanted you.
"Can- Can I?" He asked, leaning in so close that you could feel his breath on your face. His heart was pounding out of his chest so hard you could practically hear it. "Yeah," you nodded, closing the small gap between you.
Your lips came together, and you could still taste the the decadent chocolate on his tongue. Reluctantly, he pulled himself away and gazed into your eyes. "My wish came true," he grinned, hoping his other wishes with you would come true.
A/N - I was writing Charles' birthday thing last night, but then I quickly realised that it was Arthur's birthday today, so I quickly whipped this up. Sorry if it not great... Requests are open as always! Love you 💖

October Sunsets (2) - nanami kento
𖥧𖡼.𖤣𖥧Summary: You accidentally stole Nanami’s phone, unaware about the dire situation he is occupied with in Shibuya.
Contents: Anime-only safe. Angst + mentions of extreme bodily injury & death.
Read part 1

11:36 pm. Way to go. Nanami must think I’m an obsessed freak. One that forces situations to happen, so he’d think about me. You thought to yourself if he didn’t think you were clumsy before, he should now. For the past twenty-two minutes you’ve been goggling at his phone, that had already lost power. Yours, however, could be a saving grace right now. Taking it out of your tote bag you texted Shoko, the only colleague at Jujutsu Tech you were acquainted with. The message was split into multiple inane short texts: Hello. I know you guys are busy right now, but please let Nanami know I’m sorry I took his phone! I promise I only realized, like, right now and-
Ping. Ping. Ping. Ping.
Your mother’s contact appeared on your screen, previewing messages that contained videos. She called right before departing to wish you safe travels and the promise of funny videos to help you stay entertained, so you swipe away her texts assuming they were just unfunny skits from somewhere.
Continuing your imploring to Shoko: Please just say that first. That I’m sorry. Also, he can meet me on Monday, November 5th. I’ll return it then fly back to Denmark. Tell him he’ll get lots of pastries and souvenirs! After hitting send, it did register that the last bit of the message was unnecessary, but the nerves of the situation got to you. Going into your mother’s chats, you see an influx of exclamations. “Shibuya is being destroyed!”, “Are you still in the plane?”, “Answer me!!”, “Your uncle sent me this one”, “Please be safe out there, love you”. You watch a low-quality video, hearing your family member’s voice in the background crying out in fear. A plane was being set ablaze mid-air, hurling a loud roar as it dropped from the sky into Shibuya. The tragedy was clear as day, even though the video is taken at night. Highlighting the combusted object. Your hands tremble. Were you safe? Unable to hold the phone upright, you felt like this was wrong to watch. He’s on call, but where? No. stop thinking like that, he’s obviously saving civilians right now. Nanami’s far too competent to be a victim to that destruction. Thumping tortured your head as you catastrophized.
“Miss. Are you feeling ill?” The flight attendant sounded like she was under a body of water. “Hold my hand and follow my breathing.”
The video continued playing, showing a city turning into hell. The lens turned to reveal the shocked faces of people witnessing the horror. It never stopped playing until a pair of hands whisked your device away from a weak grip, then lightly turned your head so you could meet a women’s calm face.
~
8:00 am, November 5th, Monday, Tokyo. You hug Nanami’s blazer tighter against your layered outfit, when then the breeze enters the cafe. A cold gust sings alongside the crackling sounds of an old espresso machine. Elevating the emptiness and lack of conversation in the room. How could anyone start a conversation? It feels like the moment anyone utters a word; we all expect the events of Shibuya to pour out. No one wants to talk about. At least for a little while. Not while the wound is still fresh. In your peripheral you see the screen of a phone turn on, next to you on the leather couch. The red dusk of the sunset on your friends lock screen includes a notification, telling you its fully charged. You unplug and bring it to your face to have a closer at the photo, but the phone unlocks from facial recognition. Taken aback you immediately turn it off, shutting your eyes. You hold a tighter grip on it, because it’s a reminder of how you aren’t ready.
Not yet.
You decide to lean into the couch, to stay longer at the establishment. The jetlag is kicking in and it doesn’t help that you ran into an unwanted conversation with a coworker when you walked in. The one-sided chat consisting of the only depressing topic everyone is taking part in. It left your coffee cold, and now you needed to rest for a bit. If not, you could walk out of the café without a clear mind. Looking either drunk or sleep deprived. Most likely the latter. The insurance company was next door and the possibility of running into more people is a headache. To call your flight back to the city a miracle, would be an understatement. From October 31st, flights coming in and out of Japan were prohibited, just when you desperately needed to come back home. Only five days have passed since the incident.
For four days, you found yourself alternating between locking yourself up in a Denmark-airport hotel, then running around pleading with the airport’s many front desk’s about when you could leave. Not caring if you’d get fired for abandoning your work trip. Your mothers’ yells across the phone would be a comforting reoccurrence, in which she is begging you to stay in Denmark, since the situation was getting worse back home. For four days, only your mother would call, while you unfortunately entertained the thought of your loved one’s death once you came back. Even as you arrive back, the chaos resumes. No warm hugs from a worried family greeted you.
You colleagues were radio silent, dealing with their own grief. Your mother and uncle were evacuated to a different city. Leaving you with one more fear. No sign of Nanami. Shoko didn’t answer your calls from Wednesday to the early mornings of today, until the dreadful call. The call you had with her just one hour ago, which somehow led you to instinctively catch a taxi to this very café.
Just as you settle into drifting asleep, a ring awakens you. It’s coming from your phone. “Shoko”, displayed on the lock screen, and hesitantly you pick up.
“I can see you from here. I’m crossing the light pole to the café entrance.” Shoko says, as you see her tall figure approach, dressed in a lab coat. She stops outside the door to throw her cigarette into a bin. Chimes can be heard as she walks in. You stiffen. Staying seated on the coach, you can’t help but feel nauseous as she walks up to you. She stops above you, striving her best smile. “So quiet in here. Wish it were like this outside.” She gets comfortable next you on the couch. Making sure to observe the blazer as she continues, “You must have been in disarray; your luggage is here.”
You face her in silence, nodding your head in acknowledgement. The two of you stare at each other, competing to see who will address the matter. Inhaling deeply, you try, “Thanks for meeting me here. Why’d- ‘’
You clear your throat to not get choked up. “No.” You straighten your back to speak clearer, “What were you doing when you called me?”
“Sorry?” Shoko inquires, and you stay silent, reading her eyes. “I was…sitting at the park.” She says pointing in the direction behind her, confused.
“So, you weren’t occupied with something urgent or intense?”
“Not really.”
“You didn’t think to wait for my arrival or ask us to meet somewhere. You were just going to causally call me and tell me that “I’m sorry. Nanami didn’t make it”, hang up on me, then leave me to go with the rest of my day!” You shakily burst out.
Shoko looks at you with widened eyes and observes around the room self-consciously. You two were the only customers in the café, now filling the silence. She places her palm on your shoulder, to ease the tension, but you non-aggressively remove it.
“I admit, you didn’t have to hear it that way. I just didn’t know who to call. Everyone was pestering me. They still are and I couldn’t handle it. I only saw your messages yesterday and the burden of telling you the news was too much. I didn’t mean to hurt you. It’s just…a lot.” Shoko was now tearing up. The pressures of her position were breaking her, as each day passed by, with more wounding alerts of her dying colleagues.
You stand up from your spot. “Let’s talk outside, I’m getting dizzy in here.” You respond half-heartedly.
Shoko follows you into the chill winds hoping for a smoother flowing discussion.
“Please, Shoko. Where is he? I know I’m a non-sorcerer so I can’t even enter your facility, but at least tell me-“
“Even if I could. I can’t let you see that- him I mean.”
“That? Shoko help me out here, please! It’s the least you could do. God, this is so unfair.” You lament to her.
“There’s nothing I can do. He’s- its bad. His lower body is the only remaining part we can recover from Shibuya.” Shoko winces and covers her mouth, shocked by her own blunt words.
You bit your lip as tears marked your face. His lower body. Her mechanical way of describing things made sense in her occupational context, but this was too harsh. With staggered breaths you ask, “Where is he?” You ache as you reiterate. You now know the answer. He was still in there. That hell. It was never a possibility in your mind. Nanami not making it back home. While the world just begun to know about sorcery after the massacre, it wasn’t unfamiliar to you. In detail, he’d go over his workday like it were any other mundane job. The stories of the students he so greatly cared for, the loss of his dearest friend in high school, and all the dangers of the mystique of this world he was in. Never, did you imagine you’d have to worry about his potential death. In his eyes, he is someone who simply strives to do the best he can. You wish he could see himself in your eyes.
Jujutsu Sorcerers are shit. He’d boldly reaffirm that to you with sunken eyebags, every time you two would talk about your workday in the café. Yet, he never left sorcery. Everyday you’d be reassured of how hard-working he really is. That same attitude that you admire in him, is one of the many traits that made you want to be a permanent part of his life. Whether he accepted your affections or not, wasn’t the point, everyone deserves to have such a dependable force in their life. Now, you cannot accept that this is happening.
“I understand him now.”
“What do you mean?”
“I hate how the higher-ups do things. What’s happening right now is showing their true colors.”
“You can do unimaginable things compared to most doctors. The ability to reserve techniques, right? That’s what Nanami told me.” You ask her, not expecting a response. Maybe this was a way for you to cope with the fact that even people as powerful as her can’t fix everything.
“Yes. I know there’s nothing I can do to make you feel better. I can’t even begin to tell you why we can’t save the rest of his body right now. I don’t want to hurt you more. I know how much you mean to him, it’s only right that I informed you.”
You chuckle at her words, “The damage has already been done. No?”
She looks to the ground in defeat. Agreeing that nothing was going to assist the emotional affliction.
“You want to know what hurts more? Is that I’ll never know why. You could try to explain it to me, though I doubt you would. Still, I’m too far removed from it all. I don’t want to know who did it, or what.” Wiping your face, you make your back the door, “I’m sorry for raising my voice at you. Take care.” Not looking back, you head straight for the bathroom. Hiding yourself in one of the stalls, you drop down to your knees. One hand on the stall wall, as the other opens the toilet seat while you begin to hurl. His lower body is still there. It’s an unsettling scene. You hurl and cry simultaneously. The chronic exhaustion was making a physical appearance, yet the object of your sorrow was thinking about how tired he must have been. Meeting his end, without getting to grow old, but by the pressures of his sorcery.
~
7:00 pm, November 12th, 2018, Kuantan, Malaysia. The ocean sends shimmering beams of light into your bedroom. You sit on your bed in a daze, taking in your flat’s perfect view of the ocean’s peaking sunset across the horizon. Now it’s been twelve days since the Shibuya massacre and the beginning of a new era of havoc. Other than frequent check-ins with family, you haven’t spoken to anyone else since your last conversation with Shoko. Most of all, you won’t bother yourself with the current events taking place in Shibuya. This isn’t a retreat. You were abandoning your duties to escape, with the illusion of closure. It made you worse. Your way of grieving is running away to the place Nanami raved on about. Where is the closure?
“Jujutsu Sorcerers are shit.”
His words echo when you think about home, but not in a negative way. You just can’t help but recollect these words because they represent your overall memory of him. Nanami always had this weird way of saying bold and sometimes controversial statements but in a well-mannered way. You miss his politeness. How much of a gentleman he was to you and all women around him. You miss the safety. You loved knowing that your coworkers thought he was boring and uptight, because with you the formalities would drop, and you’d be left breathless from his jokes. You would give anything to hear his dry jokes again. You loved knowing that you saw that side of him. When he was not burnt out by work and had the energy to send you two out and about in town to shop, try food, or take aimless walks in the city. You love him, and he will never know.
I think I’m ready.
You grab Nanami’s cream-white blazer from next to you, to take out his phone. He trusted you enough to be another recognizable face on his device. Claiming he had nothing to hide and whatever he had on it most likely was cleaner than yours. You only used this privilege to take pictures of yourself and make it his wallpaper. Every now and then, those same pictures of you would remain on this lock screen. You think back to when you asked him if he wasn’t worried his sorcerer friends would ask who you are, then he’d reply that they wouldn’t ask, because they already know you. Such memories now cross your mind. That comfortability is now missing.
You used to doubt your importance to him. Having each other’s extra apartment keys and phone passwords was not enough for you. When his reason for these two instances was to ensure you both have someone to depend on in case of emergencies, your mind was clouded with romance. You face the front camera to unlock the phone, revealing a typical home screen. Organized and easy to navigate. Since you’ve been in possession of it you never opened it. Where would you even begin. What was the point. Would you forget him that quickly without his phone? His camera roll consisted of you, screenshots of songs, meals and a substantial number of sunsets. Chime. A reminder displays on his screen. It has two exclamation marks indicating it is high priority. Deciding you didn’t want to go into his apps anyway, you read the reminder:
Send the birthday message on notes tomorrow!!
Tomorrow is your birthday. Without thinking you navigate to the notes. You scroll down completed grocery lists and to-do lists to reach one note titled, “Her birthday plans”. In bullet points he writes: Returns from work trip November 12th. Haneda Airport. Plan A, surprise flowers? Cook dinner for her at my place (might seem pushy if she doesn’t feel that way)?
If Plan A fails, aquarium. Obsessed with stingrays. Early Christmas presents! Christmas plans?
Weeps escape your mouth as you read the notes. These notes started to make you feel less insignificant to him than you thought you before. You didn’t just lose Nanami. You lost a potential future of longer city walks, Christmas dinners, and more nonsense-bred conversations. His relatives probably don’t know what has happened. You may have felt unimportant in the midst of his complex and action-filled life, but this circumstance would force you to introduce yourself to his family in the worst way. You aren’t merely an ex-coworker. You are his dependable companion and friend during an emergency. Those emergencies may be mundane compared to the danger he faced daily, but he still trusted you to follow through.
How would you introduce him to your mother? If he was also merely the ex-coworker her daughter hangs out with. Can she understand this profound grief?
You hang around the note app, noticing one more titled, “For her.”
There is no one else more deserving of delighting in this day than you. You tell me you do not care much for today, which I understand the reasons, but I am grateful for another year of you. Every time you feel like abandoning it all because you’re so tired I want you to remember your birthday. Yes, a reminder of the gift of time. When it all becomes too exhausting for you, there is my door. Waiting for its only other owner to arrive when she’s ready.
We are becoming so much more. I sometimes wonder if I carry this desire of wanting to become more with you, a bit more than you. With the gift of time, I will try to express my feelings better.
You bring ease to those of us around you. You are lovelier and more perfect than tranquil seas. A calming force which the drifting autumn leaves cannot try to compete with.
I love you. Wholeheartedly.
You hug at the blazer on your lap. Staining it with tears. Picking up your cellphone to walk to your bedroom balcony, opening the camera app, you hope. As you take an image of the rosy horizon, you hope. You hope that these memories won’t become such a painful occurrence in the future. With every passing day, signs of a day turning into evening would make it difficult for you to forget him.
The end! I'm sorry like really sorry. I wanted to see a realistic story depicting the aftermath of his death but I couldn’t find any. So I wrote it??
I have a happy story in mind if anyone is up to read it<3

~ a love supreme, seems far removed ~
kappa x reader
a/n: this one's very short, sorry my loves 🫶😞
summary: you promised you'd follow him anywhere. wherever kappa was, you would be too. even if that place was a commune of a hippie cult
warnings: breeding kink if you squint (but not really), kappa just really wants to give you his babies 🤭
tagging: @angelsanarchy @greenxgloss @ithinkitstimetonap

The campsite was exactly as you expected it to be. Like any other hippie commune you could imagine. A decently sized white house where you assumed everyone slept - though a smaller detached building was present too, presumably Kappa's quarters. A large bonfire for meetings and meals. There was an eerie cosiness to it that you were quite fond of.
You could feel quite a sense of reverence. You could see the building in the distance, lights flickering and the flickering of the bonfire casting out a warm glow. Kappa kept a hand around your middle, keeping you tightly by his side. Where you were meant to be. He led you towards the centre of the commune, where members of the family had gathered, enjoying the peaceful evening and the sunset that was painted above.
The family all perked up, whispering quiet chatters and murmurs amongst themselves. The curiosity and anticipation flooded the air like thick fog, clouding over the relaxed atmosphere of the commune. Their excited whisper grew louder as you drew closer, the members of the Family knowing exactly who the newcomer was. And they also knew that you were Kappa's, and he was yours. You were off limits and were to lead next to him. And the women of the Family were ecstatic - all eager to have a female leader they could admire and adore.
You lost all anxiousness when you saw their faces - excited, eager. Almost desperate as they waited impatiently for Kappa to introduce you to the rest of the Family. Though, one in particular looked at you distastefully - to whom you assumed must've been Theta. The woman that Kappa was so 'in love with'. And you almost gagged at the thought, the bitter thought of Kappa touching anyone else, belonging to anyone else, made your stomach twist into unhappy knots.
Theta's look of disdain didn't go unnoticed by Kappa, of course it didn't. Kappa noticed everything, after all.
The Family cheered and whistled eagerly, welcoming Delta with open arms. Delta. Delta. You repeated in your head, as though testing the way it would've sounded on your tongue were you to say it aloud.
Kappa eyed Theta, jaw clenched and eyes narrowed, though he was determined not to let her sour mood dampen his as he introduced you formally to the Family. Brushing off her lack of enthusiasm, knowing she'd come around. She always did. Like a good girl.
The sky bled deep oranges and purples, the bold canvas fading into a deep navy hue, littered with a chaos of stars. The air fresh and clean, crisp and chill as night settled over the commune.
You shared Kappa's place. Naturally. Of course you did. You were his. You'd share his bed, sit next to him at meals and lead alongside him, like a sweetened puppy begging for a treat. And it was all you'd ever want.
As you settled into bed, the warmth and comfort of Kappa's small dormitory trailer washed over you. You lay back against the pillows, finding home in the tie-dyed cotton, fragrant with an abundance of fire flames and patchouli. You thrived off the contentment and belonging, a happy smile on your face as you waited for Kappa to join you.
Finally, the door creaked open, and Kappa entered the room. His eyes met yours, wide and bright as he padded silently over to the bed, sinking down beside you with a contented sigh.
"It's been an amazing day." you spoke first, smiling up at Kappa widely as your voice dropped to a whisper. You'd never have guessed that this would be where you ended up. Sleeping in a commune in the middle of nowhere with a charismatic man that dressed like a nomad. But, perhaps, this is where you belonged.
Where you needed to be.
Kappa's grin widened as he listened to your words, rolling over onto his side so that he could better face you.
"It's definitely been something." he snickered, brushing his thumb over your jaw.
You giggled softly, shaking your head playfully as your eyes met his. So full of warmth and love. All for you. God, you hoped your future child would have his eyes. A little boy that looked exactly like his father.
Kappa chuckled softly, his eyes never leaving yours as he noticed the off look in your eyes.
"What's goin' on in that crazy mind of yours, sugar?" he teased, his tone low and husky as he scooted closer to you.
You laughed softly, toying with Kappa's fingers as he spoke. You shrugged teasingly, the sound of his voice driving you crazy. The innocent seductiveness had your mind whirling.
"Just thinking..."
This made Kappa cock a brow, encouraging you to continue.
"...about how much I really want your children." you added lowly, gnawing at your bottom lip as you waited for Kappa's response.
Kappa had to catch his breath for a moment, a knowing smile on his face that had you shivering under his watchful eyes. His free hand glided over the contours of your body, drawing soft patterns on your exposed skin.
"You still thinkin' 'bout that, huh?" Kappa purred.
You nodded softly, your eyes wide and eager.
"Uh-huh." you whispered shyly, looking up at him through your lashes which you knew would drive him insane. "Wanna have your children, Kappa... p-please?"
Kappa groaned softly, the hand that was exploring your body came to rest on your hip as he tightened his grip - his touch electric on your body. He pulled you closer, leaning down to whisper hotly in your ear.
"You can have whatever the fuck you want, sugar, if you promise to keep lookin' at me like that." he spoke, his mind racing with desire and clouding over with need.
The night, your first night at the commune, with the Family, was spent like any other would be. With deep and obsessive passion that had your heart strumming and your mind swirling in a blissful haze. Each touch, each whisper, each whimper and moan was fuelled by a determined desire to create life.
And the thought of seeing children blossom within you, Kappa's children, bearing the fruits of your pure love, had fuelled every single moment until the sun rose.

~~—~~—~~—~~
It was a 15 minute walk from your tiny house to the docks. You saw a few ships but they didn’t seem like the one you were looking for. The sun was already setting and you looked at the sunset for a second. You smiled and took a deep breath.
After a few minutes you started walking again and kept looking at the ships. You didn’t really see where you were going and before you knew it, you bumped into someone, making you fall onto the ground.
“Oh Shit, i’m so sorry!” You started saying while looking up at the person who you bumped into, seeing the green-haired guy looking at you, not amused at all. He mumbled something you didn’t understand and he held out a hand. “Watch where you are going.” You nodded and grabbed his hand. “Thank you.” You quickly said before you grabbed your stuff from the ground.
The green-hair guy lifted you up and soon enough you were standing again. He nodded and walked off.
‘What a weird guy.’ You thought before you began to walk again. After you walked for a bit until you saw a Jolly Roger with a skull and a straw hat on. You chuckled and laughed. “Why doesn’t this surprise me?” You asked yourself before you tried to see if you could see anyone.
You started to doubt yourself and was ready to walk away, until you heard someone scream your name. You turned around and saw the captain of the crew Luffy. He jumped off the ship, right in front of you. “So what do you say?” Luffy asked excitedly. “Yeah, I want to be part of the crew!” You reacted with the same amount of excitement.
He hugged you and after that, threw your bag onto the ship. You laughed at the action and smiled. “After you y/n.” Luffy said, pointing at the opening of the ship. You looked at the ship for a second, smiled and entered the ship.
Once you entered the ship, you started to look around. You saw some tangerine trees and smiled. “What a nice touch” you said softly while you walked up to them and took a closer look. You tried to touch one before someone grabbed your arm, which caused you to turn around.
“What the hell do you think you are doing here!” The same green-haired guy said angrily. “How the fuck did you do that?” You just asked confused, totally not frightened by the guy or the 3 swords he had. “I could ask you the same fucking thing. Get off this ship. You don’t belong here waiter.”
Luffy heard what was going on and came to check on you. “Zoro calm down, she’s part of our crew!” He said excitedly. Zoro looked shocked, but not really surprised. “So the cook was right about something.” He huffed and let go of your arm. He walked away, presumably to his room.
“Off to a great start.” You mumbled, before smiling and turning around. You saw the other boy and girl walk up to you and they introduced themself. “I’m the great captain Ussop.” Ussop started proudly. Nami laughed at Ussop and she quickly introduced herself, Following Zoro shortly after.
“The great captain Ussop you say?” You smiled slightly. Luffy was still standing there just taking it all in. “Yes! Finally someone who acknowledges me.” He smiled widely. “So captain, tell me. Why is Luffy the captain and why are you also a captain?” You tried to stay serious but smiled slightly. He was slightly taken aback but laughed it off.
“W-well you see.-“ He started to explain and Luffy laughed loudly, he couldn’t wait for Ussop to explain it to you. “Luffy couldn’t do this without me. See i’m a great sharp shooter and because of that, an amazing addition to this crew.” You nodded. “I see, well good to have you on the crew Captain Ussop.” You patted him on the shoulder and took a look at Luffy, who was now grabbing his stomach because he was laughing so hard.
“Luffy, can you maybe show me around?” You asked Luffy while you walked up to him. “No, I can’t but there is someone who can.” He grabbed your arm and pulled you into the ship, to the kitchen. You quickly looked back at Ussop who just held up both thumbs and mouthed something like ‘Goodluck’.
~~—~~—~~—~~
You entered the kitchen after Luffy, who was still holding on to your arm, basically dragging you along. You noticed that everyone (except Ussop, who was still outside) was in the kitchen, chatting away. When they saw you it all got quiet. Sanji tried to avoid eye contact and started chopping some vegetables and fruits.
“So anyone wants to show y/n around?” Luffy asked. Zoro looked at you and shook his head while slightly grinning. “Well I know someone whats to show her around. Maybe show her-“ He got rudely interrupted by Sanji who threw an apple core directly in between his eyes. Zoro got up and was ready to fight him at this point.
You were shocked by this but found this oddly amusing, quickly glancing at Nami who was now crying from laughter.
“Great! Who were you talking about Zoro?” Luffy asked, totally oblivious of the situation. You saw Zoro laugh and pointed at Sanji, who ignored Zoro and continued chopping up the remaining vegetables and fruits. “Awesome! We’ll leave you two too it.” Luffy said happily, Grabbing Zoro and Nami, leaving you two alone.
You were silent for a second, just looking at Sanji who was finishing up with the preparations for dinner. After what you felt was like eternity, you cleared your throat. “So..-“ You started off slowly. Sanji looked up and smiled. “I’m so sorry for Mosshead earlier. Hope he didn’t make a wrong impression.” He started, while he washed his hands.
“Yeah, no it’s fine. I’m used to a alot-“ You smiled. “u-uh from the restaurant of course.” You hit yourself, embarrassed at how stupid that sounded and heard Sanji laugh softly. “Please mademoiselle, don’t hurt yourself.” Sanji said as he dried his hands and walked over to you.
You felt your hart skip a beat and froze for a second. ‘Damn you are such a loser. Already crushing on the first (handsome) man that is nice to you.’ You thought to yourself while trying to play it cool. Sanji definitely noticed this but ignored it for now, trying not to act like a fool.
“Madam?” Sanji asked while he waved his hands in front of your face, smiling. You looked at him sheepishly before your cheeks turned a rosy pinkish colour. “I’m sorry, you were saying?” You asked trying to sound chill, but definitely failing.
Sanji let out a chuckle, enjoying the situation you created. “As I was saying Madam, Are you ready for me to show you around?” He asked while looking at you, his eyes shifting from your eyes to your lips and back to your eyes again. You just nodded. He smiled widely before he clapped his hands together. “Let’s get started Mi amore.” He walked to the door and held it open for you. You nodded and walked out of the door.
He grabbed your bag like the gentleman he is and started off showing you everything you needed to know, giving you random and stupid facts about all the rooms he was showing you. Now and then you let out a chuckle as he said something funny, or in your opinion, cute.
“And last but definitely not least; This is Nami and your room.” He opened the door and you saw two beds in a regular sized room. There were a few barrels, a few cabinets, a hammock and a chair. You smiled at Sanji while he placed your bag into the room. “Well, I’ll leave you to it for now, If you need anything Mademoiselle you know where to find M- u uh- us. I’ll call you for dinner in a bit.” Sanji said quickly, smiled at you and left.
~~—~~—~~—~~
You were in your shared room quite a while before Nami knocked on the door. “I’m coming in.” She said before she opened the door and looked at you. “Hi-“ You started while you turned around to look back at her. “You know, this was your room first so you don’t have to knock, but I very much appreciate it nonetheless.” You said kindly.
You were still busy unpacking, not fully knowing where to put everything. The floor was now filled with all of your stuff and you sat in the middle of it. Nami chuckled at the sight and carefully walked around all of the stuff and sat on her bed.
“Look, I’m not the best person to make friends but you seem nice. With that said, here are some rules. First, you don’t touch my stuff, Second, this cabinet is full of my maps but you can store important books or maps in here if you need to. Third, you can ask me anything and I’ll try to help you wherever I can.” You smiled. This solved 90% of your storage problems. “Thank you Nami.” You said happily, while putting everything away and sitting down on your bed.
You both talked for a bit about everything and nothing before you heard Sanji call for the both of you. “About time.” You said but it came out more as a whisper. Nami laughed, before standing up and looking at you. “Be prepared y/n. The food at your restaurant is nothing compared to the food Sanji makes, especially now that you are here.” She grinned and walked away. You followed her, confused at what she just told you.
You entered the kitchen after Nami, seeing Sanji handing every one their plate. He smiled widely when he saw you which made you blush slightly and quickly sat down in between Nami and Zoro. Sanji handed Nami her plate and then placed your plate in front of you. “Here you go madam, tell me what you think.” He looked at you once again, slightly blushing himself but luckily no one noticed.
You took a bite and closed your eyes with pleasure. “This is amazing.” You said once you swallowed the food. Sanji smiled to himself and nodded proudly. “Thank you.” He said. “Sanji you did it again! This is amazing!” Luffy shouted with a mouth full of meat, grabbing a few more pieces. This caused everyone to laugh.
Everyone enjoyed their food and chatted away. You actually started a conversation with Zoro, about his swords and he smiled slightly. “Well-“ Zoro started off, starting a full hour talk about each sword. You just looked fascinated and whole heartedly listened along.
Nami, Luffy and Usopp all left after dinner, leaving Zoro, Sanji and you behind in the kitchen. Zoro got two beers and gave you one as well, which you took gladly. You looked at Sanji who was now smoking and was cleaning in silence.
Zoro asked you about why you really wanted to join the crew. You smiled sadly. “Well, I’m here all on my own, my parents left when I just turned 16. They probably thought it would be better for me to stay here. I worked at the restaurant the past three years and I’ve always had a passion for the Grand line. I never really imagined going away from this place, mainly because it’s not really possible for me to go alone. Then you all came along and Luffy gave me an offer I could not resist, so here I am.” You chuckled slightly at the end of your sentence.
After a few beers and a long conversation, Zoro stood up and stretched. “I’m going to take a shower and head to bed. Welcome to the crew waiter.” He said to you. “Cook.” He mumbled as he left with his remaining beer.
You looked over at Sanji who just finished cleaning everything and was now sweeping the floor. You sighed. “Waiter, what a stupid nickname.” You mumbled towards Sanji. He looked at you and laughed. “Yeah, he is not really original with nicknames. He tends to call me Cook, as you just heard.” He said nervously, not really knowing how to react towards you.
You rested both of your arms on the table you were sitting at and rested your head on them. You didn’t really reply to what he was saying and just kept looking at him. “You need any help?” You asked him after a while. “No i’m good. Thank you Mademoiselle. Pretty girls shouldn’t do cleaning jobs anyway.” He said turning away from you, to hide his blush.
You grabbed the mop and made a soap mixture for the floor. “Well in that case I will get started with mopping the floor.” You said teasingly. Sanji sighed and turned to you. “You’re very stubborn love.” He smiled soflty.
You mopped the floor in silence, just like in the restaurant. It never got awkward between you and Sanji, as if you guys knew each other for an eternity. You were completely in thoughts when you bumped into him. You quickly turned around facing him. You looked around you and saw that you worked in circles and worked your way towards the middle of the room, meaning you were stuck there. You could of course mop behind you as you walk but that’s just extra work.
He laughed and looked around, seeing exactly what you were seeing. “Good job Mademoiselle.” He jumped up the counter and sat down. He patted the place next to him, motioning you should sit next to him. You copied him, while mopping the remainder of the floor and looked at him sheepishly. “Yeah, this was definitely my plan, I knew what I was doing.” You said confidently. He laughed loudly and nodded. “If you wanted to spend more time with me sweetheart, you could’ve asked me.” He said shooting you a smile and biting the inside of his lip.
“Yeah right. So you wanna stay here for a while and talk?” You said stupidly, causing him to laugh. “Ah, Yes definitely, I don’t have anywhere to go anyways.” He said that gesturing to the wet floor. You laughed along and looked around. “So.. How did you become part of the crew?” You asked him, looking at him curiously.
He started to explain the whole situation, from being on the ship while he was still young, to being stuck with Zeff on a rock. “Zeff taught me all that I need to know and I joined this crew, looking for the all blue.” He said smiling weakly. You looked at him confused. “T-the all blue, what is that?” You fully turned to him. Your legs were now touching his side.
His eyes lit up. “The all blue? The all blue is a legendary place where fish from all four seas — the East Blue, the West Blue, the South Blue, the North Blue — all meet. It’s a paradise for a chef like me.” He got really excited and grabbed a book from the cabinet beneath him. He opened it up and showed you all the different kind of fish and you just smiled at him, affectionately.
He looked back at you while explaining everything, seeing that you were actually interested and didn’t think it was boring. His cheeks turned a bright pink colour and he cleared his throat.
You saw this and smiled. “You okay there?” You asked slowly, but kinda teasingly. He looked at the ground. “Look at that, the ground is dry. It was really nice to talk to you mademoiselle but I have to leave.” He got up and rushed out of the kitchen, leaving you alone.
You sighed deeply and left after a second, going back to your shared room.
~~—~~—~~—~~
You opened the door and took a look inside, seeing Nami looking over at a few maps. “Ah just in time!” She smiled. Can you help me figure something out?” Nami asked while she gestured you to come closer. You took a look at the maps and helped her.
It was now late at night, so after Nami and you talked for a bit. Nami and you got ready first bed and you looked at her one more moment. “Nami can I ask you something?” You asked slowly. “Yeah, shoot.” She said, still with her eyes closed.
“What the fuck is going on with Sanji?” One moment he is really nice, and the second he runs off. I just don’t get it.” You explained confusingly, moving your hands around.
Nami laughed and moved over to her side, now facing you. “Look y/n, I can’t explain why he’s acting a certain way“ She started. “-But I can say that you are a really nice person, and yeah, he’s Sanji.” She was now fully grinning. You looked at her, once again very confused. Nami turned around. “Goodnight y/n. You’ll figure it out soon enough.”
With that she dimmed the lights and you were left in complete darkness, feeling confused about not only what was going on with Sanji but about your feelings towards this cook as well.

Synopsis: You come back home from work to find a note on your front door. The note contains some disturbing things that no one would know unless they were following you.
Content Warning: Yandere(?), fucking in the forest, boot humping, fear play, blackmail (?), chasing, Mdom!, brain rot, AFAB sub!, rough mdom receiving oral, biting, breath play and creampie. 𓂃 ࣪˖ ཐིཋྀ
y/n is getting ready to enter her house on a Friday evening when she sees a note on the door. “Get dressed in that pretty skin tight dress that you have and when the sun sets, meet me in the woods behind the house.” y/n looks at the note, puzzled and notices words on the back. “The one you wore to the club a week ago - Secret Admirer” y/n’s eyes widened. A week ago she was in Austria.
y/n knew no one down there but she went for a little vacation. She hadn’t told anyone where she was going either. y/n unlocks her front door and walks inside. She drops her bag and loosens her work tie. y/n removes her shoes and puts on her house slippers before texting her best friend, asking what to do about the admirer when she notices something peculiar. y/n sees something she recognizes.
Not something that belongs to her. But to a male that she had hooked up with while in Austria. It was a stained glass vase sitting on her coffee table. When y/n had gone back to her hook-ups place she had commented on a beautiful stained glass vase. He said “One of a kind” but this one had blood on it. There was an envelope propped up on it. y/n grabbed the envelope.
Inside it held a polaroid picture of her best friend tied up and being held captive. The caption to the polaroid said “I’ll see you at sunset” with a poorly drawn heart. y/n’s heart sank to her stomach and saw that the sun was close to getting ready to set. She quickly rushed up the steps, desperate to save her best friend. y/n gets to her room and there is another note.
“Make sure you get yourself prettied up properly for me and not like how to did it for that man. He was weak. I’m better for you Doll <3” With shaky hands y/n applies some make-up, curling her hair and putting on some clear lip gloss. y/n walks down the steps, black with red bottom heels in hand before slipping them on and walking out your back door and into the woods.
As y/n walks it sounds as if there are speakers in the woods and the song “Eat Your Young” by Hozier is playing around her. A twig behind her snaps. Her head whips around only to be met with the sun in her face. “It’s golden hour” y/n says softly as she continues to walk when another twig snaps, this time to the right of her. y/n looks that way when suddenly a bright light flashes at her.
“Somethings not right,” She mutters to herself. Someone exhales on her right ear. “Run” y/n shudders and begins running north. Every time she slows down it's as if she hears someone breathing heavily right behind her, causing her to pick up her pace. With her lungs and calves burning, she makes it to a clearing which reveals a cliff behind her house and she turns her back to the water and looks at the way she came from.
y/n collapses onto the ground breathing heavily and observing her battered state. Heels lost in the forest whilst running from her pursuer. Hair a mess. She realizes her make-up is probably messed up too. After convincing herself she's just driven herself wild and that no one was there. She turns to look at the sunset and someone grabs her by the waist.
“Got you~” The white haired male says. y/n attempts to break free from his grasp while yelling “Who are you?!” His smile falters. “You don’t remember me?” His grip loosens and she releases herself and just stares at him. He removes his blindfold and says “I-It’s me!” The man says, beautiful eyes staring into her soul. y/n takes a step back, fear plastered all over her face.
“I-I’m sorry I don’t know you” He shakes his head. “No no that’s not possible. You have to remember me. It’s me Satoru” Gojo says, desperately trying to get y/n to remember him. The name sets y/n off. “Satoru? As in Satoru Gojo?” Satoru’s smile re-appears. “So you do remember me!” y/n blushes. “I couldn’t forget you if I tried. We went to high school together. I h-had a crush on you” His head turns to the side. “Had?” Gojo asks.
Things begin piecing together for y/n and she says “Wait where is b/n?!” He scoffs. “Why are you worried about them right now?” y/n’s brows furrow together. “Did you kill that guy from Austria?!” Satoru groans, rubbing his temples in frustration. “They don’t matter right now Doll” Satoru steps closer to y/n and she steps back, closer to the edge. Satoru grabs y/n’s hand and pulls her closer to him, their bodies touching.
Gojo leans down and whispers in her ear. “I can feel the heat radiating off of your dirty cunt. You enjoyed being chased, didn't you?” y/n’s head turns to the side, ashamed of her body betraying her true feelings. I bet you’d like it if I took you right here. Wouldn’t Doll?” y/n nods slowly and he chuckles. “My my. I’m sorry Doll. I didn’t even get a chance to compliment you. You look so beautiful right now”
She scoffs. “I look like a mess,” Gojo nods. “But the look on your face, the way your dress is torn, revealing your f/c thong. You wanted this to happen didn’t you? Putting on such slutty panties for a stranger” He pulls y/n by her hair, forcing her head to the side and he bites her neck and she lets out a soft moan. Gojo’s hands make quick work of her dress, ripping it at the seams and slipping it off of her.
y/n gasps, not expecting him to do that. Satoru lays the dress out on the ground and has her sit on it. Gojo then unzips his pants, takes his cock out of his boxers and says “Open” y/n obediently opens her mouth and he slips himself into her mouth. “Fuck your mouth…It’s better than I imagined” He slides deeper inside of her entering her throat and her eyes water as he brings her head to the base, her nose touching his crotch.
Satoru groans, trying to find his footing and his shoe brushes against y/n’s clothed clit. y/n moans around his cock and he chuckles. “So desperate for some pleasure” Gojo says, pushing his foot up into her cunt as he beacons her to grind against his boot and she follows his lead. Satoru begins picking up his pace and watching y/n grind against his boot, occasionally applying pressure.
Gojo slips his cock out of her throat and y/n coughs, trying to regain her breath only for him to shove himself back inside of her mouth. y/n whimpers, feeling her breath caught in her throat as Gojo continues his assault on her mouth. He pulls out once more and flips y/n onto her stomach, alining himself up with her cunt. y/n wiggles her ass in the air and he chuckles before slapping her ass.
“So eager to be filled with my cock aren't you?” y/n shudders. “Please Satoru,” Gojo laughs. “As you wish Darling” Satoru slammed himself into her, pulling her body up to have her back pressed against his chest. She moans loudly and he bites her ear before reaching around with his free hand, rubbing her clit.
y/n’s head clouds with lust as she completely forgets about her best friend, the blood stained vase in her living room and her supposed crush from high school fucking her in the forest in her backyard. He stops rubbing her clit and Satoru’s hand makes its way up to her throat, fingers wrapping around her throat and squeezing harshly, cutting off her air. y/n’s legs begin to shake as her orgasm builds up.
“S-satoru! G-gonna make me c-c-cum~” Gojo laughs. “Don’t you fucking dare cum. I want you to cum with me Darling” He says, grip tightening around her neck as his pace grows faster and she gasps for air, trying to regain some slack on her neck to breathe. She fails to do so and she whimpers as Satoru continues to fuck into her cunt. Gojo smiles, biting her ear and his dick twitching inside of her.
“Do you wanna cum with me Darling?” y/n tries to nod but Storu’s hand holds her neck in place. He bites her neck, leaving dark marks in the place of his mouth. “Go ahead. Cum for me Doll~” When Satoru says those words he releases y/n’s throat allowing her to take a deep breath in and screams out in pleasure. y/n’s screams tips Gojo over the edge of ecstasy and he releases inside of her before letting go of her body, allowing it to fall the rough ground beneath him. y/n whimpers, cunt tightening around nothing as the sun had already set.

Im a Hard Pill to Swallow
Mountain cant escape it, but Rain helps him.
~1500 words of angst but there’s alot of comfort in there dont worry. Its got a happy ending 🤠.
This is so self-indulgent and Im definitely not projecting anything onto anyone.
It was a warm day, perfect for having the windows open and the curtains drawn apart— Rain had insisted on having it just so. A gentle breeze was working its way in and the orange tinted light from the sunset casted shadows across his floor.
Even better, Mountain was tucked into his side resting on his chest. Rain had a hand between his shoulder blades, dragging his fingers back and forth. It wasn't just touching, it was feeling. He flattened his hand against Mountain’s back and felt it rise and fall as he breathed. He felt the calming heat flowing into his usually cold self and the strong muscles that held him up time and time again. He felt his mate, his everything. He was Rain’s soul brought into physical existence.
The only noise in the room was the sound of their breathing– even and deep, and they were content to spend the next hours like this.
Moments pass them by and the room darkens, since Rain had forgone switching on the lights in favor of the sunset. The setting is serene, and its pulling Rain into a world of sleep. But the bliss is put on pause when he feels dampness on his chest. He’s just about to look down when he feels Mountain jerk.
“Mount?” His words are whispered, thinking that the earth ghoul had fallen asleep and was having a nightmare.
“Sorry, I didnt mean to wake you,” Funny that they both thought the other was asleep. Mountain tries to keep his speech even, but his breath hitched on the last word. Rain brings a hand down onto his cheek and finds it wet. Mountain was in tears. Rain eased himself out from under Mountain to get a better look at him. He cradled his flushed face and worry sank deep in the water ghoul’s gut.
“I love you Rain,” He choked on the words, and he was just that much closer to well and truly falling apart. He leaned into Rain’s palm hoping it would stifle the pain, but it offered no refuge from his racing mind.
“I know my lily. I love you too, but you need to tell me what's wrong.”
Mountain sits up and hangs his head into his own hands. He feels so, so wrong. His hair draped over his face serves to block Rain's view of the tears that won't stop coming. Rain fixes himself up next to Mountain and watches as his shoulders shake with each sob.
“Im sorry,” The large ghoul sounds so small.
“For what?” Rain couldnt really figure anything out, but he had a feeling of where this was going. Mountain didn't get like this, at least not anymore.
“I'm not good enough for you.” Mountain heaves again before he lets himself slump down, threading his arms around Rain’s waist and resting on his lap. Rain feels his tears soaking into his pants. He cards his hands through Mountain’s hair and gently scratches his scalp– just to give the aching ghoul something else to feel.
This was Mountain’s one skeleton in the closet– a ghost that's been following him around ever since his summoning day.
As much as everyone hung around him, as much as the pack included him in their lives, he didn't feel like he belonged. He thought he wasnt good enough. Nothing they said could convince him that he was wanted. It was never for a lack of trying, it was just him. He learned to live with the weight— the corner of his mind that was always occupied. Unlovable. Worthless. The words rang through his head on a daily basis.
Then Rain came, and things changed. His summoning day was a date branded in his mind, carved into his heart. The rest of the pack noticed Mountain was different from then on.
He was brighter, lighter and things seemed to get easier. Being around the pack felt more and more natural. Most days, he really felt like he belonged. Rain was always there with a reassuring hand, a pillar for him to cling onto. And in the solemn walls of their rooms? Rain worshiped him, soothed him. Rain was his remedy. He fixed so much of what was wrong, held him together in ways he thought impossible.
But Mountain never felt like he was giving as good as he got and the thought had its claws around his neck. Sure, he loved Rain, and he tried to show it. He made him special oils and salves for when his hip acted up during tours. When they were back at the abbey, he let himself be boiled alive just to sit with Rain in a hot bath. He’d spend the whole time kneading at his shoulders, working down to his arms and his cramping hands, trying his damndest to soften the aches. He was his first thought when he woke up, and the last thing on his mind before he drifted off to sleep. For Rain, he would burn down the whole abbey as long as it made him happy.
But Mountain’s twisted mind convinced him that none of it added up to even a fraction of what Rain did for him. He was a burden, only good for exploiting Rain’s adoring heart. All take no give.
“Mountain—” Rain had run Mountain through these talks before, dozens of times. He would never get tired of them though, he would say the words again and again till he was blue in the face as long as Mountain understood how much love he had to give.
Rain hoists the large ghoul up, bringing him back to eye level. He swipes his thumbs over his cheeks, attempting to clear them of tears that just keep being replaced. Mountain feels a soft kiss against the top of his head. It made him feel fuzzy since Rain could never reach it normally.
He feels another kiss to the base of a horn, “You’re always good enough for me,”
Rain’s warm breath ghosts over his skin and he kisses the other horn, “more than good enough.” The words make Mountain shake. They’re always so hard to believe. Mountain keeps his eyes screwed tight because looking at Rain right now would draw out another round of sobs.
“I know you dont think so, I know you think that you dont do enough for me.” Mountain sniffles and he feels soft lips press over each of his eyes. “But you do and I see your love in everything you do Mount,”
“I love the fire in your eyes in the mornings when I catch you watching as I wake up. Its my own personal sunrise.”
Rain nuzzles his face into Mountain’s, like he’s marking him with his scent. He smells like roses and cut grass and freshly turned soil. He smells like his rich element.
“I love when you come up behind me, wrap your long arms around and bury your head in my shoulder. You warm me up so nice.” He follows up with a kiss to his temple before moving them both back face to face.
“I love the sound of my name on your tongue, like it was written by whatever god just for you.” He brings their lips together and he feels Mountain relax. The kiss is indulgent, and soft. They stay like that for awhile, to feel, hoping to bury their taste in the other.
When Rain breaks it apart, he says words that surprises both of them. He’s always wanted to say them, but of all of their talks, he had never found the courage to.
“Sometimes I think you know me better than I know myself,” Mountain had stopped crying, but he felt fresh tears against his skin. Rain’s breath hitched and he realized he was crying then too.
“And each day we spend together, the idea feels more and more real. You know me, my flower.” He weaves his hands into Mountain’s hair, tugging gently. It makes Mountain groan.
“You know my wrongs, my failures and darkest pits of my heart. And you love me just the same. You do right by me every moment that we’ve had.” Rain’s hand finds Mountain’s and brings it up over his heart.
“This is yours, forever. Each beat belongs to you.”
Mountain clears his throat before leaning in to rest his head against Rain’s. Ok. To others, the word is dismissive, uncaring. But Rain knows that this is his way of sounding his acceptance, it's him trying to let the words sink into that murky corner of his mind. Its Mountain’s turn to wipe the tears from Rain’s face.
“I know how much you love me.”
The room is dark and a bit cooler. It's not late by any means, but they’re tired. Their talk was heavy. Their eyes are puffy from tears and they’re both wanting rest.
“Will you hold me?” His voice is more level now and Rain’s heart flips. Always.
Rain pulls Mountain in for a quick hug, squeezing just right— how he knows Mountain likes. He lets go so they can move back to how they were entwined earlier. Mountain has his ear pressed to Rain’s chest again, listening to his heart beat.
A long string of I love you’s pour out of his mouth and Rain just drags his hand along Mountain’s back like before. “I know love. I couldn't doubt it if I tried.”
Mountain falls asleep first and Rain gets to indulge in the sounds of his calm breath and the soft purrs rumbling from his chest. He hopes Mountain dreams of the wide river of his love.

Chapter One
Y/N’s POV
I decide to take my bike down to the Pier since it’s nice out. I text my biker friends to see if anyone is free to join me. I get a text from Leo and Cleo Aetos, the twins who have become my close friends since I moved to LA over a year ago. I walk out to my bike after dressing in proper clothes and grabbing my backpack. I turn on my bike and rev it up before texting them the meeting spot. After driving for a few minutes, I spot their bikes in the distance and I pull up next to Cleo.
“Y/N there you are,” Cleo says with a smile. I smile back and turn off my bike.
“Ready for a ride?” Leo asks and I nod.
“Always ready for a ride,” I say with a chuckle. We start our bikes and put our helmets on.
“Race you both to the Pier parking lot,” I say and drive off. I hear them chuckle through our shared com channel and race after me. Once we get there, we park in two of the empty spaces near the front of the parking lot. Once we turn off our bikes, we take off our helmets and make our way to the Pier. I love coming here, especially on days I just wanna relax and not worry about creating content for my TikTok and YouTube. Leo, Cleo, and I make our way towards different small shops on the Pier and eat some food.
“How are you and Sara doing Leo?” I ask
“We’re doing good, planning on proposing to her soon,” He replies with a smile. I smile back at him, excited to have Sara as part of our family we have formed.
“That’s so exciting,” I say
“Plan to do it during date night tomorrow,” He says
“I helped him make the reservation since he was busy,” Cleo explains and I nod.
“Always having your sister do the phone calls I see,” I say with a giggle. He shakes his head and punches my arm playfully.
“Oh shut up Y/N/N,” He says and I laugh.
“Do you make Sara do it for you?” Cleo asks, teasing her twin. He makes a face at us and we all laugh. After we finish our food, we continue our walk on the Pier. I spot the Ferris Wheel and look over at Leo and Cleo. They make a run for it and I follow them laughing.
“Last one there is a rotten egg!” Leo exclaims. I run faster and run past Leo but I can see that Cleo is catching up to me. I somehow manage to get there first with Leo behind me and Cleo last. She laughs and shakes her head.
“Damn Y/N you’re fast,” She says and I laugh.
“Did track in high school so I know how to run pretty fast,” I explain and she nods.
“So Y/N do you like anyone?” Cleo asks
“Nah I don’t. Never really found someone that has caught my eye,” I say
“You think you will find someone here?” She asks
“Maybe but I don’t know. Guess only time will tell if I find someone here or not,” I say
“Well if you do let us meet him so we can see if he’s a douchebag or not,” Leo says
“Don’t worry, I will,” I say and we get on the ferris wheel.
Small time skip
We decide to call it a day when the sun was setting. We spotted at a spot on the pier and watched as the sky change colors. I smile and take out my vlog camera since I’ve been recording clips here and there throughout our stay here.
“Beautiful sunset at Saint Monica Pier,” I say and Leo laughs.
“Always vlogging Y/N,” He says
“You can always tell me to not record you,” I say
“I know just teasing,” He says with a chuckle. I laugh at his antics and shake my head. After turning off my camera, we all agree to head on a night ride to close the day. As I turn to start walking back, I collide with a brick wall. Looking up, my e/c meets brown ones and I can notice that they have a story to tell.
“I’m sorry, should’ve been looking up and not on my phone,” He says with a small smile.
“Told you Noah that would happen,” His companion with brown hair and white streaks at the front of his face says.
“Oh shut up, Davis” Noah snaps back and shakes his head. I giggle and shake my own head and smile at the two of them.
“So your name is Noah and your friends name is Davis? I’m Y/N,” I say and he smiles.
“Nice to meet you Y/N,” He says and I smile back.
"Nice to meet you," Davis says
“Likewise,” I say
“Nice tattoos,” Noah says and I smile.
“Could say the same thing about you,” I say and he chuckles.
“Well give me your number so we can talk about them,” He says, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.
“Is this your way of asking me to hang out?” I say with a smirk. He nods with a small smile and puts his hands in his pockets.
“Yeah,” He chuckles and I shake my head laughing.
“Alright as long as you don’t murder me,” I say and take out my phone. We exchange numbers and make more small talk until Leo calls me over.
“That's my cue to go,” I say and walk away from him.
“I’ll text you!” He shouts and I laugh.
“You better!” I yell back and catch up with my two friends.
“So Y/N got a guys numberrrrrrrr,” Cleo coos and I feel my cheeks heat up a little.
“Oh shut up Cleo,” I say and she laughs.
“Come on, let's go on that night ride,” Leo says, rather annoyed. We laugh and get on our bikes, going for that nice long night drive.

Hello! I'm a recent follower and I've fallen in love with the polyamorous trio (saeyoung, Judas, Minji) My favorite is definitely Minji! She is a sun, I love her looks and personality, I think it matches the type of person she is (i.e. she is yellow or gold like the sun) I always see her being kind and helping others, but I have a question. Do you ever get angry? Is there something you don't like about a person or thing in general? Sorry if you've already answered this! I couldn't find it
Another Minji lover on my list! A lot of people adore her design and personality—which makes me very happy every time someone brings her up! I thought some people might imagine her to be a bit cliche since she's made of sunshine and adores baking for her loved ones. But, sometimes, you need a character that's bright and filled with a certain level of optimism that you don't see in your everyday life. That's how I feel about her, myself.
She's a ray of sunshine in a world that isn't always bright, but when you need her the most, she'll be there! A lot of people may take this to believe she's naive, or that she doesn't have it in her to hate others given how fast she is to choose kindness first. But, that's not the case. However, when you compare her perspective to Judas or Saeyoung, she'll feel way more understanding than they do to you.
That's because both Saeyoung and Judas view things from a realistic point of view. They have seen and experienced cruelty firsthand, and they aren't the type of people to think twice about burning bridges to spare themselves or their loved ones. Saeyoung would burn the world to ash and cinder to protect his family, and Judas would readily crush anyone who dared to hurt someone innocent if they so much as gave him a second glance he didn't like. They aren't the types who forgive, rather, they remember and get even.
Minji isn't like that, per se. It's not that she's against violence all the time, but she isn't the first person to jump to it as an answer if there's something else you can do first. She knows that both Saeyoung and Judas have done things that keep them up at night, and plenty more that don't keep them up at night. She doesn't judge them for it. She knows they did what they had to do. She comforts them when they learn how to open up about the pain they carry, and she never once thinks about them in a different light because of what she learns.
She doesn't want to jump to an extreme outcome if it can be helped. She wants more than anything for justice to be served the way that it needs to be, in a trial where those who have wronged her loved ones have no choice but to squirm in front of a judge and jury who can see them for what they are. But, she knows that life doesn't always work that way, and... if her lovers blur that line, she won't judge them for it. The only point of contention she has with them is how self-sacrificial they can be.
She wishes they valued their lives more... their freedom... their hope... their happiness... and their own experiences. It's great that they love someone so much they're willing to die, but she thinks it's far more compelling to love someone so much that you're willing to live for the chance to see another day with them even if it's the hardest fight of your life to see the sunrise. She knows how hard they fight to be with her, and she is bright and warm so they know the sunrise will always come! And you know what, they're her sunset. They remind her that even the sun is allowed to rest and to be embraced by those she so very much holds dear, too.
If you're asking what makes Minji the angriest, it's people who make others cower in the darkness to survive. People like Judas' ex, people like Saeyoung's mother and father, etc. I don't believe she hates Rika or Jihyun, but I know she has a strong sense of both frustration and pity for them in her heart.
She pities them because she knows that all of this could've been avoided if the circumstances had been different... had Rika gotten the help she needed from the start and Jihyun learned how to speak up when he realized he was in over his head. Minji doesn't hate anything unless we count the people who inflict harm on others and don't do anything to reflect on their actions or make up for them by doing the right thing. Sure, some things frustrate her, but she isn't the type to outright hate anything.
If your question was about me, though, then, I can simply say, yes! I do experience anger, and yes, there are plenty of things that bother me. But, we all experience anger at the end of the day. If you said you don't get angry or frustrated, I would be surprised because even the kindest of people have their moments of frustration and exhaustion. It's healthy to experience your emotions, all of them, even the ones people claim aren't "palatable." As long as you're not hurting yourself or anyone else, feel whatever you need to feel!
And, if you do end up hurting someone by accident, own up to it and work to make things right. It's not that complicated at the end of the day. Feel your emotions, guys. Suppressing your anger because you're afraid of it hurts you more than feeling your anger in the first place.

I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO ASK THIS EARLIER but, who would the other characters be? Spike? Cadence? Trixie? Sunset Shimmer? Starlight Glimmer? OH MY GOD THE POWERPONIES EPISODE AS THEIR SUPERHERO/VILLAIN PERSONAS?! I have so may ideas and you're a fucking GOLDMINE of Ideas so THANK YOU
A few canon answers and a few non-canon answers :] (well.. it's an AU, so technically all of it is non-canon......BUT answers nonetheless!!!!)
I always thought Spike to be Sparky, this is a personal headcanon, and haven't really gotten any confirmation on it (since I never asked LOL :P) but here's an unfinished piece of mine of My Little Park Sparky and little Stan. Sorta make's sense too since Equestria Girls Spike is also a dog
As of now, I don't think anyone has thought up who Cadence would be, but of course, whoever Cadence is would be in a relationship with Shelley; who takes the role of Shining Armor.
Clyde takes the role of Trixie Lulamoon as the great and powerful Clyde Donovan!!
For Sunset Shimmer, there is this fan design by kyoplleeee on Twitter who assigned Heidi as Sunset. (along with Red as Glida and Wendy as Moondancer)
@cookieluvr5268 (the creator) mentioned that Thomas would take the role of Starlight Glimmer
(I found the original tweet suggesting Thomas' role too)
But there is also this post by @alenrainyartsblog that assigned Starlight as Jimmy
I'm cool with either. to be honest, I think it might be because I'm not that invested in Thomas or Jimmy as characters that much because I play favorites and I don't pay that much attention to them. Sorry Thomas and Jimmy fans, I still care about them but just not that much 😭
THE POWER PONIES X TFBW IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA I DON'T KNOW HOW I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT BEFORE. Though if I'm being honest, I would love to have two separate designs for their version of the episode just for the funsies. I think translating their superhero personas into My Little Park is cool, but I kind of like entertaining the idea of redesigning the Power Ponies to fit My Little Park as well :3 (It's been a while since I watched the EP though... I don't hate it but it's just one of those episodes that I don't mind skipping lol) Also, Thank YOU for planning on making My Little Park stuff when I can't at the moment. The AU must LIVE ON even when I'm busy with other junk, and even if the creator of the AU has gone on break and the My Little Park hashtag on twitter has become so BARREN. Everyone on there has probably moved on but I SURE AS HELL HAVEN'T. I'm so hungry.............. Anyways, If you want more information and content about the AU check out @going-down-2-my-little-park!! It's a fan blog I made to archive everything about the AU, and soon this post is gonna be on there too! Also, follow the AU's creator @cookieluvr5268. They're usually more active on Twitter though, and even then, they're on a break at the moment, but please follow them and support them. BECAUSE I DIDN'T MAKE THE AU AND PEOPLE KEEP THINKING I DID DESPITE TAGGING THE CREATOR IN EVERY FANART OF THE AU 😭😭

Don't Go Blindly Into the Dark
Summary:
To hide that he can't read, Jan Van Eck has been forcing his son to pretend he's blind since he was eight years old. Wylan is now attending Ketterdam University, and meeting Jesper Fahey may very well be about to change his life. But is he safe to tell Jesper the truth? And what will Jesper say if he does?
Jesper is struggling to weigh up his life in the Barrel and his life at the University of Ketterdam, and there's a good chance that his growing debt is about to make the decision for him. He hasn't attended class consecutively for months, but maybe that will change when his newest project includes partnering up with Wylan Van Eck. But can he really leave the Barrel behind him? And how long can he keep up the pretence of who he thinks Wylan wants him to be?

Chapter 25 - Jesper
“Wylan! Wylan, wait!”
Jesper glared briefly at Kaz, even though it wasn’t really his fault and both of them knew it, then ran out of the office. Wylan was moving quickly and it was hard to track him through the loud blurs and cheering of the tables; Jesper was out of breath by the time he managed to catch up with him. They’d spilt out onto the street and woven after each other through the crowds outside the Crow Club, not at their height at this time of the morning but hardly quiet enough to have been considered thin. Wylan vanished and reappeared then vanished again amongst throngs of people as Jesper chased after him, moving South to where the street fell empty.
“Wylan,” Jesper said again as he finally reached him, grabbing his shoulder.
Wylan flinched slightly but he didn’t move away, shoving Jesper’s hand off him and turning back away from him to keep walking.
“I don’t want to talk to you,”
“You can’t - Look, at least let me walk you back and then I’ll stay out of your way until you want to talk-”
“No,”
“No?”
“That’s what I said,”
“Wylan, please,”
He stopped and whirled back to face Jesper, his curls following a beat after his head so they swung down in front of his eyes. His scarf had slipped and Jesper could see that the bruises on his throat had darkened since yesterday, blotchy and ominous across his pale skin, emphasising the quivering blue vein running down his neck.
“Fine,” he sucked his teeth, “You want to talk about it? You want to tell me what that was?”
Jesper’s gaze slipped briefly towards Wylan’s shoes. They hadn’t dried properly overnight and were still discoloured by the heavy load of canal water soaked into the leather. He fidgeted.
“Kaz is a lieutenant for a gang called the Dregs; me, Inej, and Nina all work for them,”
“I’d connected those dots,” Wylan hissed, “That doesn’t really give me any real answers,”
“I’m sorry, okay, look - I’m sorry, I should’ve told you. We found out what your father was going to do, and I told Kaz that if he helped stop it you would do demo work for him. But stuff went wrong on the job - Inej got injured - we were too late, and I’m so sorry, I was running through the Barrel chasing that boat when I found you, I thought you were dead-”
“You…” Wylan swallowed, “Why didn’t you tell me? Why -” he shook his head,I” don’t even know what to say to you. What the hell did you think I was going to say to this? What could possibly possess you to think this was a good idea, I just-”
“I’m sorry,” Jesper tried again, “Really, I know I should’ve told you the truth I just…”
What? Why hadn’t he told Wylan the truth, who he was, what he was doing? Because he was ashamed of it, because Wylan made him want to be something different? Because he couldn’t bear the thought of Wylan looking at him the way that he was now?
“So that’s all that this was?” asked Wylan, his cheeks burning, “Getting yourself reassigned as my partner, joining classes I was in, describing the fucking sunset to me, all of it? To use me for some illegal scheme of Brekker’s?”
“No, Wylan-”
“You, and Nina, and Inej pretending to be my friends? My only friends, Jesper, don’t you get that?”
“Please, Wylan listen to me-”
“No!” he shouted, seemingly taking both of them by surprise, “Why on earth would I want to listen to you? This… This happened to me because of you! I stayed late in the library for you, because I was stupid enough to think you actually liked me and it got me pulled out of school and almost killed. For nothing,”
Jesper wanted to protest, he wanted to say that it wasn’t nothing that he hadn’t ever meant to lie to Wylan - but if staying with him that evening had really been the final straw, what the fuck was he supposed to say to make it better? There was nothing he could do to console Wylan through anything he’d been through, and hell if someone had been partly at fault for Jesper feeling like Wylan did then he wouldn’t want to hang around them either.
“Wylan, please, I’m only trying to help you-”
“I don’t want your help,” he snapped, “I’m not useless, or pathetic, and I don’t need you to come and rescue me,”
He spun on his heel and began to march away.
“Wylan,”
“Goodbye, Jesper,”
“Wylan, please-”
“I said goodbye,”
Jesper didn’t know what to do. For a minute he just stood there, watching Wylan leave, feeling that hollow space gnawing at his edges again. When he walked back to the Crow Club, Nina and Kaz had both left. He didn’t know where they were and he didn’t really care. He played a hand of Three Man Bramble, and then another and another. He lost, he bought a drink, won and then lost again. And again.
He walked back to the Slat he-didn’t-even-know-how-many hours later, passed on some senseless gossip about a girl called Amethyst to Kaz on the off chance that information on the Dime Lions would get him back into his good graces - or at least marginally better ones, anyway; Jesper wasn’t entirely convinced that Kaz actually had good graces - paid vague attention to whatever Kaz had said in return, promptly forgot what Kaz had said, and sat on the floor of his room for a while with his back leant against the closed door. He packed all of Wylan’s half-dried belongings back into his damp satchel and left it by the end of the bed, but he wasn’t entirely sure that the kid was even going to bother coming by to get them. Well, screw him. Jesper had tried to help, what else was he supposed to do? Not cause a thousand problems, not lie to him, not make everything worse than it already was in the space of ten minutes, maybe. He went downstairs and got himself another drink.

Happy Anniversary II
Ramshackle Dorm - Anniversary Party
Cater: “Yuu-chan, morning♪ Your sleepy face is cute.”
Trey: “Now, now. What kind of compliment is that?”
Trey: “Sorry to wake you early in the morning. Grim said he wanted to show you as soon as possible, but he didn’t listen.”
Rook: “Understandable. Grim was in high spirits for Yuu’s sake.”
Rook: “We also worked together to decorate Ramshackle dorm fit for the founding anniversary! It’s absolutely beauté!”
Yuu:
“Thank you very much!”
“It’s beauté!”
Vil: “Of course. Even though there is a gorgeous ceremony, it’s not appropriate to keep a plain appearance.”
Vil: “Go get changed and dressed. Look. Even Leona is ready.”
Leona: “That’s because you guys barged into the dorm, and said it was the duty of housewarden, and that it was a three year responsibility…”
Leona: “If you don’t like trouble, you should get dressed quickly. Who knows if the headmage is complaining about us.”*
Ortho: “Yeah. Yuu-san, let’s hurry and all head to the ceremony venue!”
Ortho: “I’m looking forward to it. My nii-san came with me today!”
Idia: “Ah, um, uh……h-h-h-hello……”
Idia: “I will definitely avoid the ceremony, but I came to Ramshackle dorm because Ortho asked me to……aren’t I great?”
Grim: “O—kay! Let’s all go to the mirror chamber!”
Malleus: “No. I can’t go to the ceremony yet.”
Everyone: “WHAT!!”
Lilia: “You said you were looking forward to the ceremony more than anyone else…does your stomach hurt?!”
Malleus: “That’s not it. We still haven’t finished decorating the inside of Ramshackle dorm yet, have we?”
Malleus: “After the ceremony, we’ll have a party here at Ramshackle dorm. Let’s decorate the room with everyone here to thank you for your care.”
Malleus: “After that, if we all go to the mirror chamber together…I shouldn’t be late for the ceremony. Absolutely not.”
Lilia: “It feels as if a flag was raised…but it’s certainly as Malleus says! Let’s decorate it flashy.”**
Grim: “Ramshackle dorm will be even gorgeous…?!”
Grim: “Nyahaha! Alright you guys, work hard for us.”
Grim: “After the ceremony, we’ll party! I’ll eat to my heart’s content~.”
Yuu:
“It’s shaping up to be a wonderful anniversary.”
“Let’s work a lot, and shorten our hunger!”
Grim: “Yeah! Because……March 18 is a special day!”
To be continued…
Notes:
I got stumped with Leona’s second line: 学園長にいちゃもんつけられても知らねぞ。Mainly this part つけられて. So, I consulted HiNative. Basically, the response I found is that it means to “follow (shadow) someone” or “mark in a negative way.” I tried to get as close as I possibly could from my understanding. I’m sure someone else will be able to translate this a lot better than me.😅
I explained this in the Sunset Savanna event, but “flag” is a slang word that means to indicate a future role in anime, games, etc., such as death, love, or survival.

about being Australian? I would suppose our love for sport. We play so many sports over here and we support the aussies even if we don’t like the sport! For example the Matilda’s, our women’s soccer team! Soccer isn’t as big as AFL over here, but i’ve never seen so much support behind Womens soccer, let alone ANY soccer, as we’re very proud of our sporting teams!

I have not! but i am trying to get my hands on the Dick Winters and Ron Speirs books!

Favorite quote/s that you wish to share with others?
Some quotes my dad likes to tell me when i’m really anxious over university/ actively having a panic attack are:
“you can only do what you can do” - which pretty much means that all i can do is my best, and the rest will sort itself out, there’s no use stressing over situations i have no control over.
“how do you eat an elephant?” - which basically means, to tackle something large you take it one step at a time, ergo - to eat an elephant you eat it piece by piece
Random fact your mutuals/followers don’t know about you?
Oh God, i’m not a very interesting person 🧍🏼♀️
I got swooped by birds in a century once and have hated birds ever since
If you’re a writer, do you need a beta reader (say yes so I can be your beta reader 🤭)?
