The very specific moment of rage zam had when subz logged off like he was waiting for something to happen but if subz left it meant nothing will happen since subz is the gear in the cog to cause red to keep being violent and to be the necessary evil that makes the server move forward

The fact zam wasn’t caring until than and immediately felt anger boil up and only cut himself off when subz relogged like he got doused with cold water

Zam who stays and waits and waits in hopes that the bad outcome he wants towards him happens

Zam from the get go pushing red to subz to trigger reds violence in motion like in s5, Zam waiting for the death message in chat and being satisfied with only one-, subz who’s used to zam giggling maniacally in fights on both sides so he didn’t hesitate and stop fighting until red told him to back off

Red protecting subz from mane and flame and dying for him twice cause of the guilt he feels towards him

They’re not even teammates, they’re allies who are only supposed to fight together and not against eachother, nothing more and nothing less yet reds spiraling and subz isn’t gonna jump into a fight that ends with another fight unprepared so hes forced to prepare, which leads to reds guilt growing and to make it up, he’s gonna kill more than he dies

The fact subz got a cart dropped on him by mane and when he found out who did it he shut up, than it kept happening and once zam almost got hit and ash died, zam got dejected about his ties to mane

One moves on immediately and the other contemplates

One adapts, the other confronts

Zam noticing subzs layer on, not knowing subz was literally less than 10 blocks from him listening to everything and not making a move to jump him until red did which allowed 4c to get away

Zam who’s planting seeds and getting real twisted when it doesn’t go any of the ways he expected at all

The stupid domino effect is happening again and I don’t like it!!!

Not to mention subz and red threatening jepex for his comment and jepex flying away leaving mapic and than mape immediately dipping

Mape who was dancing around, holding his tongue around both of them, mape who stayed closer to subz since he knows red would always strike first, both of them never looking at the other yet very cautious when the other was out of sight

Hi sorry have post RHRN angst rambles

Imperator's room is open to Copia after his promotion.

However, he cannot bring himself to change it, or to even live in it.

Sometimes he'll wake up in the middle of the night, and try to find her in her room, only to remember that her room is no longer her resting place, but the coffin located somewhere on the Ministry grounds is. He only wishes for her presence, because even as a ghost, its not the same.

The room remains unchanged, and Copia stays in the room he's always been in. Dust collects on the surfaces in the room. There are some objects strewn about, some mess from packing being left as the last time she was in the room was the day she flew out to see the tour.

And then when push comes to shove- she choses her brother over Gem.

Pearl chose Scar over her.

How could she?

Pearl explained, a season later, that its because Scar was there for her when no one else was, she had to return the favor, she couldnt just leave him hanging when he needed her. And yet Gem takes that the wrong way

Gem hates being remembered of all she missed out on, all the drama and bonding and experiences. All the jokes she will never get or be a part of-

And. (This is way more connected to the roleplay i have going on. Where Gem gave pearl and scott the wrong awnser to a her related question on the trivia and scott got swapped with his DL counterpart)

Pearl wishes she cared. But she cant. Cause out of petty grudges. Drama she knows the watchers wont even like enough. Because its fake and unprovoked. At least in her eyes.

She cannot care cause because of that pettiness she lost her closest ally, her soulmate. And instead was left stuck with- the worst version of him. Who cannot even believe her when she says this isnt the place they split up in. This isnt the place they cut the thread, its one with a way stronger bond without the need of any strings attached.

She is stuck with the person that hates her the most.

But of course. Gem doesnt know that. Gem doesn't believe that. She *can't* believe that. Cause how could she?

Everyone loves Pearl. She knows that. The thought of someone hating her is just- ridiculous. She's the first one to dare and do such a thing! And she's the best at it too.

She's no longer her player 2. Gem is her own player 1 and she decides if to go solo or co-op. And she choses Joel. She choses her own team. And Pearl wont be a part of it.

And Gem wont care when Pearl's sad or pathetic.

She wont care.

But she does. She hates herself for caring cause Pearl just looks like such a hurt puppy. She looks like she's seen a ghost from her past.. no. A demon. And-

Gem doesnt care.

She can figure it out... its what she gets... right?

Tsk. And there she goes again. Running back to her "big" brother for help. (God knows thats bs, Pearl's the big sister a good 90% of the time, the only thing that doesnt line up is their actual ages.)(but. Hey. Maybe she does need him to be the big one now. Okay tad late (as this month's Coro came out yesterday) but some Oreca Battle report time, with mb alongside some other stuff As per usual, spoilers for some upcoming cards/monsters. Though I think they did shown some of em on twit already?

As per usual names tl are more of my own taste, than in-line with official SEA english release (as I can't really access it either)

Chapter 1 seem to be themed around Dragon Palace as its featured Oremon is clearly inspired of turtle from Urashima Taro tale (though it is also has dragon+plesiosaurus in it too) So, 2, 3 and 4 stars of this fella's line! (the 3 one seems to be misprinted in the magazine? as it's lacking said stars indicator)

2 Stars: Acheron (I believe it's from river in Greece of same name? it has connection to Underworld in mythology, and since some variants of Urashima Taro don't state the place he went as Dragon Palace, but as some Otherworld, I guess?)

3 Stars: Archeron (Well, adding "r" for ー is one way to prolong the vowel in otherwise 0 change name)

4 Stars: Guardian Dragon, Archeron EX Move: Breath of Abyss Guardian (for the Wind attribute, at least. Sadly I can't see/make out names of EX Moves for other cards of this line)

The titular guy is named Trito!

2 Stars: Wave Warrior, Trito (clearly from Triton. So both him and his partner pal have Greek myth related names ig) EX Move: Trident of Wave (He pretty much riders it as surfboard...At least in how manga chapter portrayed it. Cute)

3 Stars: Wave Knight, Trito EX Move: Trident of Surge

There's also fella named Jaligator (pebble/ ankle-biter gator heh) and new Demon King, Oloroso (also alco related name) I assume "Ocean Domination" (Turn one of your allies against you for 1 turn) is its EX Move (or just of one of the moves?) name, and for Jaligator it's "Sudden Action" (it re-directs attacks from its allies to itself?) Next month issue will come with Wandered Shirogane card

There's also was poster featuring some new monsters and returning faces for Ch1, alongside Prologue card catalogue! Sadly, the pages resolution aren't that big in digital edition of coro, so I can't make out some kanjis in names here...

You can actually see Oto-Hime Mayori (Or mb Maioli?) in upper left corner. She was mentioned in this month's chapter. As well Gyo, from 1st game, Star 4 evo- Messenger of Dragon Palace, Gyogyo. He served as a bad guy to beat for latest chapter. And was finished by Demon Lord he was serving </3 Because they don't need weaklings

Speaking of. That's a fun-okay design I think? Busker had some eyelashes and this one had long as hell claws/nails <3 But because of that...I kind of unsure about this one's gender? I feel it could go both ways (upd after seeing game clips: bro is a guy) It is dragon again, so it makes me wonder if all Demon Lords of this game gonna be dragons?

I like Trito from what I've seen in this chapter :) He reminds me of Tsunami from IE- (Mecha when there's a funky surfer dude: Hmm getting lots of Tsunami vibes from it) I really adore Acheron also. Absolutely adorable fella. I guess Nagi be teaming up with protags from each chapter for respective arcs? (So I guess each taking about 2-3 months? (so about 3 chapters) Based on how much it takes for game to get new Chapter update) Gren continues to be power-hungry jerk, and Stan just following his lead (he clearly trying to fight the darkness but it ain't going well. Bro got taken underwater to serve new Demon Lord </3 )

On other news, Bird Kazami first W wow (I don't follow BeyX much I am a fake hobbyani fan sorry </3 ) Rewinder continues to be peak and that's all that is matters DueWin enters world tourney arc and it seems??? potential main bad or just a problem??? is musk rat expy??? okay Dai-sensei whatever you say. They also introducing new character to main cast?? named Kaoru. Who looks very "wuh???huh??? I don't really wanna be here but we ball". I like him already, he got some grandma issues

The realization of the situation hit Wukong. He sat up straight, “We have to warn Yue and Mk about the twins. I forgot they were coming over for a sparring match today.”

Mac let out a curse, “Wukong, you tell Mk, I'll talk to Yue.” he closed his eyes and focused.

Wukong nodded and closed his eyes as well, envisioning his apprentice in his mind.

Mk’s astral projection appeared before Wukong, his hair tousled from sleep. Mk stifled a yawn and stretched.

“Sorry bud, did I wake you?” Wukong asked, feeling guilty for disrupting Mk.

“Nah, you're fine Monkey King,” Mk said as he tried bland failed to repress another yawn “what's up?”

“Welllll, there is something you should probably know about before you come over today…”

Wukong recounted everything from last night, from when the twins and then the panic when he couldn't find Xingguang.

After Wukong finished explaining everything to Mk, Mk just stared at Wukong, his eyes as wide as saucers.

“You okay bud?” Wukong asked, “I know it's a lot to take in.”

Mk thought for a moment, “I'm fine, just…” he ran a hand through his hair, making the thick strands go everywhere, “processing.” Mk sighed and got up, slipping a shirt on “If it's okay with you and Mac, I'll be there in a few minutes, I gotta talk to Pigsy about someone covering my morning shift.”

Wukong blinked in surprise, “Uh, sure bud. Just let me know when you're close.”

Mk nodded, then smiled. “I can't wait to meet them.”

Wukong smiled in relief. At least Mk was taking the news okay. “They're sleeping, but I'm pretty sure that'll change when you get here.”

Mk chuckled and said goodbye. Wukong severed the connection and turned to Mac, concerned when he saw his mate's furrowed brow.

Yue might not be taking the news as well as Mk did. Wukong thought to himself as he watched Mac shake his head.

Wukong waited for a while until Macaque opened his eyes and looked at his mate.

“Yue is dropping Xiao off with Bai He, and then she's coming over.” Macaque sat down next to his mate, “She…didn't exactly sound happy about the twins”

Wukong's heart plummeted, “what'd she say?”

Macaque fidgeted with part of the couch, “She's just…concerned about how the twins are connected to us.” Mac looked at Wukong, “She's worried about something bad happening. It's been quiet lately, and she thinks the twins might be the start of something.”

Wukong sighed, “She's probably right. But,” Wukong took Mac's hand, “If anything does happen, we'll handle it. Just like Azure, just like Lady Bone Demon, and just like Dream Weaver.”

Mac chuckled, “So, what you're saying is you're going to get in trouble, and I'll have to come bust you out of whatever stupid situation you got yourself into?”

Wukong punched Mac's shoulder playfully, “You know you love it when you have to save me.”

Macaque laughed and leaned in for a kiss. A cough from the doorway stopped him and made him and Wukong whip their head towards the sound, blushes spreading across both of their faces.

I wonder how many of us out there have experienced a sleep paralysis state...I did like twice in almost three decades of my life, - both really scary (oogly-boogly, bitch), especially having in mind the first time it happened, I had no mf idea wth sleep paralysis even is.

The reason I started talking about that at all, is....imagine Reader is secretly a sleep paralysis deamon, or better yet, - a succubus, which can take a human form, cus shapeshift, and can just cast a sleep paralysis on hoomans for😏it's own benefit ;)

I imagine that kind of Reader as Wallace's paying guest, (I know, I know, cliche, I hate myself too, don't worry🙃🙃🙃) usually being satiated just fine with whatever students are nearby in the area, or some shit, but they want to try someone new, and...yeah, sure, why not?)) Mb it'll be fun, having in mind Wallace's entire character when it comes to women))

So at night Reader casts a s/p on Wallace and appears before him in their true shape, and just teases him for a while, and then they be like: "Well, since I'm feeling generous tonight, I guess, I can let you have some fun as well, so I'll let you choose whom you want me to shapeshift into".

Reader then proceeds to take form of women Wallace took liking of throughout his whole life in chronological order, before taking the form they usually appear in at daylight: "Or would you rather have ME?))" *giggle*

Silence taken as a "yes", Reader spends a majority of night doing the *waka-waka* with poor inventor in every imaginable (and, I guess, unimaginable from Wallace's pov, lol) way, until the morning dawn starts to peek from the horizon, which Reader takes as it's que to leave (for now)), but not before sending Wallace one final smooch 😘, a playfull wink, and a whispered *later, Mr inventor*, then just fades into thin air.

Later at breakfast Reader, in their hooman form, acts like nothing happened, and struggles not to grin at Wallace, who has a mixture of emotions, as you can imagine. Reader even almost feels sorry for him...but still decides to def do that again, cus after all...he never said "no"😈😈😈

My brain immediately went to SLUT paralysis demon XD What's better is that this could actually happen! I mean, in a less-18-rated kind of storyline, but with all the mythical beings West Wallaby seems to hint at, you could see a succubus showing up to drain someone dry and they pick Wallace because he's got meat on his bones and Gromit's got to save him from becoming their feast of a meal. Of course, I prefer your idea (Wink Wonk). Poor Wallace is looking like he's been mauled by a badger, covered in love bites and scratches, exhausted from last night's goings on, and had to make up a cover story. YES!

this turned into a yap sesh im sorry also disclaimer i dont have npd ( i have narcissistic traits but i dont think i have the disorder 😭 ) this is all ramblings of someone who does research into cluster b disorders for fun and to educate myself ( i hateee demonization of these disorders as someonewith a cluster b disorder ) BUT to the npders in the crowd pleaseee let me know if i got anything wrong i wanna educate myself

i will elaborate on this just a tad not only because somebody asked but i wanna let the people know i dont headcanon Ford as having NPD as a way to demonize him but genuinely because i personally think he shows traits of NPD

its hard for me to.collect my thoughts so if this becomes a yapping sesh mb but i know what im trying to say so please work with me

but i personally headcanon him as having NPD because if you look into the deeper and more psychological/inward symptoms of npd ( the insecurity , paranoia the fear of being vunerable , feelings misunderstood, need to be the best , sensitvity to criticism ) i think Ford shows those in his character

Ford wants to be seen as important because of the fact he is insecure and i am assuming aswell because of his upbringing and his father ( Filbrick ill get you ) and if i remember correctly in a interview alex did say that Ford does believe there are "special" people and only they can understand his uniqueness which im pretty sure is a symptom/result of npd ( or narcissism in general ) he views himself as special and constantly thinks about how he can succeed ( i think him being bitter over west coast tech and wanting to do his grand theory of weirdness or whatever the fuck shows rhat ) but he ALSO does show signs of him being pretty insecure and craving attention or admiration from other people ( or maybe dream demons ) to cover up his feelings of insecurity and feeling like a "freak" all his life

im literally unsure if ANY of what i said will make sense to the average human who doesnt have a melted brain but all in all or a tldr of sorts

i headcanon Ford to have NPD not because hes "oh mean asshole whos manipulative and a terrible human" i headcanon him as having NPD because of the fact he is insecure and combats those insecurities by believing he is better than others and him having those beliefs and traits have ( to my understanding of his character so far i wanna pick him apart more ) persisted through most if not all of his life and ALSO because of those insecurities and those traits he seeks admiration and attention from others to prove that he is worth something

and i also headcanon him as having bpd as kinda projection ( i have bpd hello ) and autism is also projection ( also autistic hello x2 ) most of my headcanons for Ford come with a little bit of projection because i see myself in his character ( 17 year old becomes emotionally attached to 60+ year old fictional character and pays the price ) so if i headcanon any character as something it is always with love and care and heavy research into it ( psychology special interest )

You have read/played so many routes but I’m really wondering why you chose Ayato your favorite Diaboy if there are 13 in total?I know he is the main one but is there anything that makes him better than the others in your eyes ?(I hope you don’t get this wrong,I like him but I just want to know why you like him the most)

Before starting writing down about this,i want to let you know that this is simply MY opinion, therefore it’s perfectly fine if you disagree with me.Also,TW!

I am aware that Ayato is definitely not the most interesting character but he’s truly the nicest of them all and that’s even confirmed by Rejet.

Although he did bad things in HDB,his route was way softer than the ones of his other two brothers.I’m not excusing his actions,he can be abusive and a big brat too but compared to other characters,he’s not even half as bad.

We know Ayato’s nickname for Yui is “Chichinashi” and despite the fact that it sounds offensive at first,he doesn’t say it in a degrading way,but in a teasing one.When he calls her like that,he’s in a playful mood and yeah,Yui got mad at first but it’s not like she took it personally.She always replied with either “Hey,I have a name!” Or with “I do have some!” .Also,at some point, Yui gets happy when she gets called like that because that means Ayato’s happy as well.You can notice that everytime Ayato’s being serious,he calls Yui by her name and unlike many Diaboys, he has never called her ugly (sounds like the bare minimum but anyway). A part of this fandom acts as if Ayato is the only one who insults Yui’s looks but he is actually the one who calls her pretty in EVERY game.

Shu and Kou might be the characters who degraded her the most. In Kou’s MB route,all the insults make Yui question herself if she truly isn’t cute at all. In Shu’s MB route, he calls Yui’s face“ugly” a huge amount of times and on top of that,he debases her body and basically everything about her.Should I also mention that he slut-shames her for every little thing she does? And the fact that he’s not kidding and is being 100% serious makes it sickening even for a vampire.I like both of them as characters but sorry no, Yui deserves way better than you two.

Now we’re back to Ayato’s acts of niceness.

There is this one scene in Laito’s HDB route, where Laito handcuffs Yui in the torture chamber and Ayato hears her and helps Yui take the handcuffs off. Then even Yui admits that Ayato’s surprisingly kind and everything’s just fine until Laito suddenly appears and decides to provoke Ayato to suck her blood.

In Laito’s LE route,Laito doesn’t accept the fact that he has became king therefore he doesn’t take any responsibility. Ayato,on the other hand,tries to help his brother, fills up the place and checks on the Demon World situation for him,plus he takes care of Yui too.Ayato actually feels really bad for him and even admits that he’d suffer if Laito died.

Ayato is the only Diaboy who always saves the heroine,even in game prologues.In the MB one,he helps her when Richter is close to assaulting Yui.He’s also the one who saves her during the car crash.In the DF prologue,he protects Yui from the wolves who have attacked them and ends up severely injured.

In Kino’s LE route,Kino holds them hostage, therefore Ayato gets burned alive and tortured but he still cares more about Kino not doing anything bad to Yui.

What has always made me sad is the fact that everyone in the DL universe underestimates Ayato. Throughout his life he had been mentally and psychically abused by his mother but unlike other characters, that’s not something that only happened in the past but it’s still happening in the actual timeline too.

He gets told things such as “failure”, “disappointment” , “nobody loves you”, “you will never be a good king” and many more,by other Diaboys.These are things he’s canonically very insecure about but nobody seems to care therefore they simply put salt on the wound.

The thing is ,Ayato might act like a bully sometimes but he never means the things he says,he knows what topics to avoid so as he won’t trigger anyone’s trauma and I wonder,if he cares about that ,why can’t others do the same too? Even Yui admitted that she’s done with people who keep mistreating Ayato!

In his LE, Ayato loses control over his powers and ends up blowing up the house.Everyone gets so extremely mad at him for doing that but they surprisingly forgive Kanato for blowing up a whole clan??? And unlike others,Ayato has apologized.

Apparently the reason why some Diaboys kept degrading Ayato is because of “jealousy”.Sorry but that’s just some sort of dumb excuse.

What I really appreciate about Ayato is the fact that he’s so forgiving!

In his DF route,he forgives his mother.Can you believe it? He was able to forgive Cordelia,the person who abused and ruined him!Honestly,this shares the same vibe with Yui forgiving the Diaboys for all the things they did to her.

In CL, despite Ruki insulting him way too much, Ayato gets worried when he and others suddenly faint and is willing to help them.

As I mentioned earlier, Kino tortured Ayato,even so Ayato forgives him and on top of that,they kinda befriend each other.

I will absolutely never feel bad because Ayato is considered “the main hero” by Rejet.He deserves it 100% because he’s the most heroic Diaboy out of them all and I’m not even saying it for the reason that he’s my favorite,that’s simply obvious.

I know it’s unfair that he’s getting more spotlight than others, but I’m still glad that he’s able to prove everyone how wrong they were about him.

Also his design is extremely eye-catching and he got such charismatic features!(*´∇｀*)

Taking everything into account,yes,Ayato got plenty of flaws,he’s far from perfection but I can’t deny how amazing and kind (for a vampire) he is.

For the nesting au

I think this is especially interesting if tsutako were engaged as in canon. giyuu would probably dread tsutako getting married bc of the likelihood of her having pups. would he be afraid of being replaced/forgotten about? would he be jealous of her fiancé and their future pups??

I think an interesting fic idea is mb giyuu stressing out about this and having a breakdown in which he admits to tsutako about this and how he views her, and how upset he gets when she calls him a “practice pup.” how would tsutako react??

idk this.., I just love this hc.

would tsutako think of Giyuu as her son too? Idk what their age gap is, but if she’s the only one who remembers their parents, she might think of him as her own pup but feels that by taking on that role that she is then erasing their parents memories or overstepping or w/e.

also, I just need to know how the hashira react to Giyuu and mui imprinting on each other lol. Like, their whole perspective of this dude they’ve been working w for years changes when they see him suddenly taking on a parental role.

Giyuus instincts awakening is gonna be like a second puberty for him, I see the potential for a lot of awkward moments lol. he’s definitely gonna need help from the other hashira.

as for the uzugang/giyuu fivesome:

i think the uzui fam and giyuus’ personalities contrast really well, I think he’d kinda be like a blunter, quieter, more tone deaf hinatsuru, he just calms everyone down, a say it how it is kind of guy yk. And Giyuu could really benefit from their company, like when uzui finds out that giyuus really not a bad guy, he’d probably help him open up more to the other hashira (in his own flamboyant, uzui way of course.) Suma, Hina, and Makio would be so patient w him, they would not find his quietness/ off putting, I think it would be really wholesome. The uzui quartet would appreciate him for his honesty and his selflessness.

I need to see how the uzui foursome falls in love w him. like whatd this guy do to warrant being called the crazy little fuck? howd he manage to impress them all so much lol I need to know. Them flirting w him and he just doesn’t know how to respond, or the hashira seeing a relationship develop btwn people who are on completely opposite sides of the personality spectrum

Something that also makes this really interesting is that before becoming demon slayers the uzui pack believed that the mission was more valuable than their own lives. Uzui makes it his mission to make sure his wives value their lives and live w/o guilt. How would they react when they see a reflection of their past selves in Giyuu?

i think about tsutako and her fiancé a lot. over all of my aus, i use the same family and fiancé because i got attached to them in OMC. in there they had a positive relationship, but here not so much. giyuu is apprehensive and abnormally cold to them all, especially tsutakos fiancé kohei (full name nagai kohei- he’s great!) who attempts to form a positive relationship with giyuu.

he resents the nagai family just as must as he is glad for their fondness of tsutako. she’s loved and treasured properly; giyuu just can’t reconcile with the idea that she might not want him in her future life. 

he’s under the impression that he will take up too much of her biological pups space in the future and assumes she thinks so too. this reflects poorly in his attitude towards the marriage, kohei, the nagai family and even tsutako. 

he doesn’t really have the heart to be truly jealous of her future pups; he loves his sister too much to honestly think badly about her happiness.

this is actually something i’ve already got planned!! tsutako does remember their parents, as she was 14 when they died. it hit her really hard, because her mother was pregnant and her father was their pack alpha. she was just starting to have mock heats/deeper instincts so she was very lost the first few years. having her little brother helped, because small children act as a sort of pseudo-beta until their dynamics develop. 

she views him kind of as her son, yeah. but she feels a lot of guilt over it as she knows giyuu doesn’t actually remember their parents very well- she thinks she’s taken too much space in giyuus life as a “fake parent”. she and giyuu mirror each other in that way. she was also vaguely resentful towards her parents for leaving her to raise a child AS a child, but it was another faucet of her overwhelming grief. 

she would be wrecked. she loves giyuu dearly and thought she was doing him a kindness for not pushing her own feelings on him, but to find out he thought of her the same way and was hurt by her casual dismissals hurts her in turn. she still feels guilt about taking their parents place in his life but she now eases into it a little more.

oh the hashira have such varying personalities and views of both giyuu and mui it’s hilarious. 

shinobu (a fairly mid-range alpha) was the first to know- she was leading the team of kakushi to their location when muis crow finally came in after the blizzard and suitably freaked out a bit. she was kind of angry about it being a fully recognized imprint, which means giyuu imprinted back and now he’s got a son apparently. during their recovery there’s a lot of her trying to keep tanjiro the FUCK OUT. because him bringing around all these children will definitely fuck with giyuu more. 

tanjiro is under the impression of “more people to support you and love you while you recover is always the best option” but doesn’t realize that he’s kind of opening pandora’s box. 

the other hashira have varying reactions. gyomei (another omega who has experience with taking care of multiple children) feels deeply for giyuu and thinks that though odd, they make a good pair and will suit each others needs. he’s definitely glad and amused by the pups giyuu collects (who actually kind of collect him), starting with mui and going farther. 

mitsuri (an energetic omega) thinks it’s the cutest most wonderful thing she’s ever seen. she finds out from rengoku (who survives in this au and becomes the kamabokos teacher!!) who learned from the kids. she only saw giyuu and mui in recovery once while going to visit shinobu, but they were so adorable silently drinking tea and watching clouds in the gardens!!

sanemi (beta) and obanai (beta) have similar but still varied reactions. obanai has an overwhelming sense of dread whenever he sees giyuu, followed by an odd sort of jealousy. how did this self-righteous, boring egotistical egg of a man become a better parent then the ones he was born to? obanai doesn’t like it. 

sanemi hates giyuu. it doesn’t help that tanjiro has been basically kidnapping genya to take to giyuu, resulting in the hilarious view of this huge newly-presenting omega begrudgingly following around his pseudo-dam. who babys him and is harsh with him in equal measure. overall sanemi is unnerved and unsettled by it. 

rengoku (one of the four alpha pillars) thinks it’s enthralling. he’s glad that these wayward children have someone reliable to look to, even if it isn’t always him! it helps he’s got a little bit of a crush on giyuu- but he’s definitely not letting him anywhere near senjuro. he heard about giyuu claiming that kanao girl as one of his pups (right under shinobus nose!) and would rather not go through that. 

uzui (alpha) thinks it’s fucking hilarious, and the dramatics definitely increase giyuus flamboyancy in his eyes. 

as for the  uzugang/giyuu fivesome:

oh the uzui fam at first just thinks he’s interesting. a puzzle, who reflects old views they had about their own lives and needs to be solved. but after spending a lot of time with him, learning the ways to get him to engage himself, learning anything they can and watching him exist so quietly- when they know he could be louder, bolder- they become invested. 

they fall in love with him for lots of different reasons. different times and scenarios- their first inklings that each of them loves him are completely separate. 

hinatsuru catches him on the edges of the estate, walking in tight circles and looking longingly at their home- he wasn’t invited today. he came… to them. he made the effort to see them. she laughs, and takes his arm, walking towards the orchard instead of the house. in the warm sun, broken often by clouds, hinatsuru wants giyuu to make an effort always. she wants to give the effort back, too. she wants giyuu with them, and it doesn’t matter what that looks like. 

makio realized she was in love with him without him there. she was at a market, buying gifts for her wives and husband (as she does often, she loves them and they deserve nice things) and she found herself with an extra little thing at each stand she visited. at the end of the day, before returning home, she lays out the extra things she bought to figure them out. 

a blue tourmaline hairpin-which would look nice on suma but wouldn’t quite match her- some sturdy gloves in a size that wouldn’t fit any of them, and a small book on weather patterns. there’s only one person who’s ever mentioned interest in weather, and when she thinks about the pin in thick black hair it matches perfectly. she doesn’t know when she memorized the size of giyuus hands, but it’s just as well.

suma thinks she could fall in love with giyuu easily. he tempers them in a different way then hina, colder (but not sharply- always gentle and quiet) and less often. he seems unsure of himself around them but the moment there is something he perceives as Job or Mission, he becomes so oddly confident in everything. there is no hesitation. no room for error or slowness. 

she notices his accuracy. demons killed by pinpointing the softest part of their neck; the exact moment an opening is available giyuu is there. he recognizes the nanosecond they’re vulnerable because she thinks in some way he’s always vulnerable. he has no openings to them at first, treating them as Mission. as he becomes less sure of himself around them, she becomes more sure of his place. she falls in love with him easily, but not simply. 

tengen falls in love with him the moment he takes off his haori. it’s not due to him hating the thing or thinking it’s ugly- but a deeper understanding of it’s meaning and symbolism. giyuu told him where it came from after he asked. 

he talks about tsutako and sabito, how they shaped him. how their loss shaped him. how he keeps their memory both locked away and painted on his skin; that they’re his in a deep, sorrowful way. 

giyuu takes off the haori, and lets uzui hold it. it speaks of a monumental trust that uzui has never seen from him before: giyuu is very possessive of material gifts or things that hold sentimental value. he’s worn makios gloves and pin every day for months, only letting her touch them. 

it sparks a need to keep giyuu with them. something tengen has felt building over months finally ignites, adding to the pyre he considers his love towards his wives. he wants giyuu to trust him. he wants giyuu to keep him- not in the way he keeps tsutako and sabito, but in the way he rereads the book makio gave him over and over again. the way he sits with hina in the orchard- the way he sleeps on the engawa outside of their room even though he has his own. the way he and suma speak, fast vs slow, still somehow steady. 

   Something that also makes this really interesting is that before becoming demon slayers the uzui pack believed that the mission was more valuable than their own lives. when they get down to all of the nitty-gritty layers of giyuu, they react generally with grief and then determination. they refuse to let him carry it all- from what they know about his family and former friends they would be glad of him healing. 

giyuu values the mission heavily. he puts emphasis on not being the true water pillar: believing that he’s just a placeholder until someone competent comes along. but there is one catch: he refuses to die before someone worthy takes his place. 

the uzui fam see this as his final stand against his overwhelming survivors guilt, grief, and other personal issues. they’d be right, of course, but it doesn’t mean it’s not frustrating. getting giyuu to see the value of his life without its value coming from others is very hard

Authors Note: i'm thinking I might make this a series, like at the beginning of every season just something similar to this 👀 sorry I haven't written much lately! school's taking up pretty much all my time nowadays-- anywhosie, enjoy! [ also s p o i l e r s] (oh btw this is gonna take place after mc leaves devildom for the summer, before they come back to devildom) lmk if yall want pt 2 with the other characters

- i feel like lucifer would’ve visited you in the human realm before

- like probably sometime over the summer, but he hadn’t seen you in a while and he was starting to miss his favorite human :(

- not like he’d ever admit to that

- i don’t think luci would really be the type to wait until you summoned him for something, if he wants to make sure you’re okay, he’s gonna come see you lmao

- anyways

- lucifer had been staring out the window for quite a while- he had been doing paperwork, but somehow even when you were in a different realm, you managed to disrupt him

- he chuckled to himself at that thought, then sighed

- you had been rather difficult to focus around, always getting yourself into trouble

- luci couldn’t catch a break when you went to RAD

- he missed you

- a lot

- lucifer glanced back at his desk, where he had been working just moments before

- his eyes landed on an unsigned piece of paper that had your name on it

- you could come back home if he got you to sign it

- in truth, lucifer hadn’t really thought about finding a way to get you back to devildom. he certainly missed you, but the idea that he could actually arrange your return just hadn’t hit him yet

- until three days prior, when the sheet with your name on it appeared on his desk

- lucifer had a sneaking suspicion who put it there

- it was diavolo let’s be real

- the real mystery was why lucifer hadn’t gone to bring you the permission slip already

- he had waited- it had been three days, and he couldn’t make up his mind if he wanted to go give it to you

- lucifer didn’t want to put you in the position of having to choose between your life in the human realm or your life in devildom

- but he missed you

- and so, luci checked his watch to make sure it wasn’t three in the morning, then grabbed the permission slip before making his way outside 

- it would be okay to be selfish, just this once, right?

- lucifer arrived at your home at four in the afternoon, you weren’t there

- so he found a way to open the door, bruv you hid the key under the doormat he didn’t really have a hard time lmao 

- you walked into your bedroom at nearly quarter past four and immediately flopped onto your bed

- you didn’t even notice that lucifer was watching from your desk in the corner of your room

- he walked over to you and stared at you

- bro he literally didn’t say anything, he just waited ahaha thats not creepy

- lucifer crossed his arms over his chest and you finally looked up 

- your eyes locked and you quietly asked, “luci?”

- lucifer narrowed his gaze at you and answered you with an, “mhm?”

- and then you freaked out, because honestly you half thought you were hallucinating or something, you jumped up to give lucifer a hug

- don’t get me wrong here, i have the intense feeling that lucifer doesn’t like hugs, but i also have the intense feeling that you and the occasional brother are the exception to that rule

- so

- when you clasped your arms around him, luci barely hesitated in returning the gesture

- he pulled you close, like he never wanted to let go again

- you eventually pulled back to ask why he had come to visit you

- it wasn’t like he didn’t visit often, just usually he had a reason to, even if it was just because he wanted to check up on you

- oh and all that nerve luci had about being selfish for once in his lifetime, yeah that was gone XD

- so your question kinda caught him off guard, like it just seemed like he forgot because for a hot sec he was just staring at you like, ‘uh huh im sorry what was that?’

- when he didn’t answer, you took the lead

- “do you wanna go to the fall festival with me?”, you asked, a bright grin spreading across your face

- and obviously luci knew what a fall festival was, he just didn’t really see your request coming

- but i mean he nodded so lmao

- pretty soon y’all were walking down the street, stopping at random carts at the festival to look at autumn themed stuff

- luci didn’t have human money, so every time he showed a vague interest in something and you offered to buy it for him, he would start squabbling about not wanting you to spend your money and blah blah

- you’d wait until he started walking away from the cart and then buy it for him anyways ;)

- somehow along the way, lucifer suggested you guys hold hands to stay together in the crowd uh huh yeah right lmao

- it was nearing the end of the festival when you remembered there was a park down the street, so you turned to luci and asked, “mind if i show you something?”

- he agreed and you guys started walking down the street, and lemme say the park kinda blew lucifer’s mind

- he was aware that leaves on trees changed colors depending on the season, but he wasn’t expecting how beautiful they were 

- yellows, and oranges, some red, here and there

- and then he turned to look at you

- right at home, where you belonged

- wearing a shirt luci was pretty sure you stole from him, sipping warm apple cider

- the most beautiful thing in that entire park was you, he was sure of it

- lucifer felt the permission slip crinkle in his pocket, and he made up his mind about showing it to you

- he wasn’t going to

- “lucifer, are you okay?”, you sounded concerned, and you brought the hand that had been holding his own to brush a piece of his hair out of his face

- lucifer smiled at you, really smiled, and then replied, “yes, my dear, i’m quite all right”

Mammon

- ok so u guys remember when about two minutes ago i said lucifer wasn’t the type to wait until you summoned him

-well let’s give mammon some credit where it’s due

- he triedd to wait until you summoned him

- bb is many things but he is not patient XD

- ok lets get into it

- mammon was lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling

- he wasn’t really thinking about anything?? but he had been sitting there for like an hour lmao

- asmo and satan were standing in the doorway like, ‘is he okay? does he need a doctor?’

- since usually when people think of mammon they do not think, ah yes his normal activity of... doing nothing?

- then out of nowhere, mammon sat up and his brothers quickly fled the scene to avoid being caught lmao

- mammon got a big grin on his face, and he strut out of his room to go bother you

- he had gotten into the habit of going to find you whenever he was bored or lonely

- he arrived at your bedroom, and just before his fist hit the door to knock, he realized that you weren’t in there

- that you weren’t even in devildom

- mammon barely hesitated before spinning on his heel and heading to lucifer’s office

- he wasn’t even really conscious of what he was doing, but mammon knew why he was about to go ask to visit you

- he needed you, more than he ever truly realized

- when you arrived at your apartment that afternoon, you were greeted by your landlord in the lobby, he informed you that there was a strange man sitting outside of your apartment, who was insisting that he needed to see you

- you practically dropped the grocery bag you were holding, nodded to your landlord, thanked him, and then began sprinting towards your apartment

- mammon was sitting in front of your door, staring down at his hands, he didn’t even notice that you had walked up to him

- you immediately noticed something was off with him, so you dropped to your knees to bring him into a hug, “what’s wrong?”

- he smiled to himself as he wrapped his arms around you, “nuthin'”, now that you were with him

- after you both relished in being reunited, you hopped up and grinned at him, “you’ve got perfect timing!”

- you went to unlock your apartment door, and pointed at the grocery bag that you had abandoned on the floor- it was full of apples

- mammon stood and picked up the bag for you, “apples?”, he questioned, he wasn’t really familiar with human cuisine but it seemed a little bit strange to just buy a massive bag of apples

- “i’m gonna make desert!”, you opened the door and walked into your apartment, then closed the door behind mammon, “and you’re gonna help me”

- the smile you gave him made his heart melt

- he had missed you so much

- “pfffff, why would i do that?”, mammon’s cheeks were flushed red, he crossed his arms and looked away from you, trying to hide his embarrassment 

- you were grabbing something out of your cabinet, it looked like sugar, “because”, you smiled at him 

- “what kind of reason is that-”

- he helped you make the apple pie lmao

- mammon lifted a bite of the pie up to his face to look at it, “what even is this?” 

- he wasn’t asking in a mean way, he just genuinely didn’t know what he was looking at lol

- “just try it! i promise you’ll like it!”, you told him from the kitchen, you were putting away ingredients

- mammon huffed, and you gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse

- “if you try it, i’ll give you a present”, he immediately tried the dessert

- mammon thought it was delicious, but he wasn’t about to tell you that, “i guess it’s alright, now you’re gonna gimme something?” 

- you nodded and walked over to where he was sitting, “hey, what’re ya doin’?”, you gave him a peck on the cheek

- mammon fell silent for a second, and then his face burst into flames as he watched you grin and return to putting things away

- and honestly that was the best gift you could’ve given him

- ok so im sorry but belphie is definitely the type of demon to wait for you to summon him

- i don’t make the rules XD

- he is tired boy, and while he may love and care about you a lot, going to the human realm takes a lotttttttt of energy lmao

- like he has to walk allllllll the way to lucifer’s office and ugh just like no too much work

- so anyways lmao

- you hadn’t really planned on summoning bel at all

- you were lying in bed, a lazy morning like so many you had shared together

- this one was more beautiful than any you had ever experienced before

- the leaves were changing colors just outside your window, the sunlight of a late morning breaching your bedroom through the leaves, and hitting your face

- the weather had gotten colder recently, so you had added more blankets to your bed to accommodate

- or maybe you were trying to make up for the loss of your cuddle buddy

- either way, you were wrapped securely in blankets

- and everything seemed perfect

- except you were missing the best part of sleeping in, of staying in bed until the early afternoon

- you were missing your best friend

- so you decided to change that

- you barely had to think about how to summon him, one second, he wasn’t there, and the next, belphie was lying on top of you

- he was sleeping, as usual

- bel clutched you tight in his sleep, mumbling something about missing you under his breath

- he was dreaming about you

- because as little energy he had to go visit, that didn’t mean that belphie didn’t miss you

- in fact, nearly every day since you left devildom, bel had complained to beel about how cold his bed was

- bel had trouble sleeping for a while after you left, unbelievable, but true

- he had grown so accustomed to falling asleep every night to the sound of your breath, your scent, your warmth

- belphie opened his eyes mid afternoon, he realized why he had been sleeping so soundly when he glanced down to see who he was hugging

- your eyes were closed and he assumed you were asleep
