Sorry in advance, I'm going to rant here a bit.

Why do 80% of Snaters have to bring his looks into the discussion? Like, the way he looks has nothing to do with his character! I just saw another post calling him a "disgusting, oily, ugly man" in their rant on how he is an evil person, like... I look, apart from being a woman, exactly like him. Like, I 100% match the book description. Crooked teeth, shoulder long hair that gets greasy way to quickly, big, hooked nose, dark eyes, too skinny, walks in a "gliding" way: that's me! Why do the marauders fans have to do this?! Don't they realize that there are people, who will look like the charakter they hate on? This fucking fandom made me so insecure about my nose, that I am considering an operation at 19 years old! I just cried for half an hour after seeing jet another post about how ugly Snape is and no wonder he never found love! It just causes so much pain. If they want to hate on Snape's character, fine by me! But why can't they leave the way he looks out of it? Why?

Marauder Stans, as fervent as they may be, are often proved problematic. Their disdain for Sev runs so deep that they not only dismiss his importance and erase him from his own circle but also stoop so low to attacking his appearance and ridiculing his poverty.

Marauder Stans seem to revel in disparaging Sev, often going out of their way to strip him of any redeeming qualities. It's that they take pleasure in rewriting his narrative, erasing his virtues and amplifying his flaws, making a one-dimensional caricature that serves their biases. It's a weird thing, revealing more about their own prejudices than about Sev himself.

Your appearance is a distinctive and beautiful part of who you are, but it does not, in any way, define your value or your capacity to be loved and cherished. Those who resort to attacking someone’s looks often do so because it’s the quickest, most mindless way to inflict pain. It says more about their own insecurities than it does about you. Courtesy was one of the qualities shared between Prince Jacaerys and you, both externally honored with the suitors presented during Prince Aemond's engagement, but dissatisfied under the kind and grateful banner. In comparison, perhaps your case was worse than the heir of Rhaenyra Targaryen, since your lord father was basically accepting any agreement by your hand, not caring about a suitable age group of the other gentlemen. It was terrifying to sustain a false smile while feeling totally humiliated at that table, so, requesting permission to have some air before another gentleman introduces himself, you were released from your obligations to pick up one of the delights arranged on the desserts table.

So, you saw from afar a lord bearing a silver and blue coat, old enough to be your grandfather presenting himself to your father. For the seven!

Your legs were agile when you sneaked quickly trying to hide, taking advantage of the fact that some tables were empty and the attention was on the dance between the betrotheds (a surprise to see the one-eyed prince being a dancer peculiarly... bold), you hid with a slice of cake under a distant table graced by a black towel that covered it from end to end.

On the other side of the hall, Jacaerys Velaryon enchanted ladies of all ages with his charm and education, a true prince beyond the title. He copied your pout, looking at you carefully. Clearly questioning in the traditional way would not work, so Jace opted for a different approach.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to pressure you. We have not yet been properly introduced, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon,” he raised his hand towards you, “honored to meet you.”

You couldn't believe that Princess Rhaenyra's son was formally introducing himself under a table because of you, seven hells, what a scandal! You presentation yourseld in a low voice, uncertain and worried about what was happening because of your.

"I don't think this is appropriate, my prince, you shouldn't be in this situation," he added.

"Neither do you, my lady, but here we are," he said, "and I would really like to know what happened to make you be here and I don't intend to leave here until I understand.

Oh dear.

"Nothing happened, it's just... my lord father and my lady mother are looking for a betrothed for me, and I just wanted some time to stretch my legs," you started, "and, a lord approached our table just now... an older lord, much older than me, and I panicked."

His mouth opened subtly. "Well... uh... I believe that your father wouldn’t accept, if that is the intention, a marriage between the two of you," he said uncertainly, seeking to reassure you with what he thought was plausible.

“My father would change me for a herd of goats, if I were favorable,” you replied bitterly, looking down.

The confusion and shock were even more evident on Velaryon's beautiful face when he heard that words. Such a fate seemed too horrifying, however, common for some ladies, unfortunately.

"My lady, I..." he stuttered a little, "I'm sorry, I don't know what to say."

"I know, it's okay."

Your weak voice denounced the opposite. Although it had been prepared for the situation, the choice of suitors had not been satisfactory, especially the last one. This was a situation that Jacaerys would not need to go through, since his mother was more flexible about it, however, it did not stop him from helping a lady as adorable as you.

"I have an idea. What if I showed up in your company? Maybe it could be a temporary distraction to your father."

Temporary, well-used term.

“It can work at the moment,” you said, maybe you can save time to find a better suitor. "Maybe... if you, my prince, could grant me a dance, so he can see."

"Well, I should have made that invitation, forgive me for being so slow," he joked, "but yes, I would be able to dance with you, my lady."

He smiled sweetly; soft brown eyes shining towards him, oh, how beautiful and kind he was! A real delight!

You replicated Prince Velaryon's smile and waited for him while analyzing the movement to leave the table without being noticed, however, at the same moment that Jace lifted the towel, Prince Lucerys widened his expressive eyes with the image.

“It's not what you're thinking,” Jacaerys seriously warned him. The heir of Driftmark quietly nodded in confusion, looking at the rest of the hall. "Are there many people close?" Jace whispered.

“No,” Luke imitated his brother's tone, watching him come out from under the table.

You wanted to sink on the ground with the astonished look of young Velaryon on your shrunken figure below waiting for the endorsement of Prince Jacaerys to leave.

"Don't tell that to anyone," he said to dear Lucerys, "let's go, my lady," he raises his arm to lead you to the salon, "where is your lotf father?" He whispered.

"A little further to the right, my prince."

Without looking directly at your family and the old lord who presented himself as a suitor to your hand, you positioned yourself in the hall together with the prince, receiving attentive looks from some ladies, the royal family and your own family. So far neither of you has chosen partners for a dance, so the whole situation was seen as suggestive for Rhaenyra Targaryen and a real dream for your mother, who didn’t bother to hide the surprise when contemplating the scene. "It's Prince Jacaerys!" She murmured to your father, who only expanded his eyes in interest, to the misfortune of the old lord.

“Call me Jace,” he smiled toothlessly at you, making your body tingle in response.

"You honor me, my- Jace, thank you for doing this."

"You're welcome, my lady.”

When the music started, another dragon danced happily with a butterfly that would come to be known as his future betrothed.

Period Oneshots: Quaritch, Mansk, Wainfleet

How I think these 3 (big) men would react to you having your period.

Masterlist

I don’t know whether Na’vi women get their period but since they would probably be mammals, I assume so. Either way, I’m going to write this how I imagine it goes for them. Since this fandom decided that they have mating seasons and heat cycles, the period is a 2-3 day period once their mating season is over. Meaning they get it only once a year ( I wish that was me )

Also, choose whether you are human or Na’vi. Doesn’t matter, both go for this one. 

Also, yes I am on my period while writing this. Credit to @jinx14 for the idea. I apologise for any typos, it's almost 2am :)

Quaritch:

Now Miles is a man who, back when he was human, knew everything he needed to know about the woman’s body. Of course, his memories are still with him now, but his old normal life seems more distant to him now that he is focusing on one mission only. 

Either you are on his squad team and are a part of project Phoenix or you work in the lab as a scientist or doctor/nurse. 

Miles knows you as a colleague and has grown unintentionally closer to you in the last month. He found you interesting and liked that you were helpful with missions, polite and knew your place, and loyal to him. Those aspects were very important to him as a person. 

One day he sees you working on something, whether it be working out or filling out lab reports. He notices you look worn out and agitated, which is unlike your usual upbeat mood. 

He comes over to question you and make sure you’re okay. He won’t mind bringing you something if you need it, as long as you ask politely. Asking polietely is one of the least important things on your list if you are fighting cramps, headaches or other pains. It doesn’t help that you may not have slept well. 

You’re too tired to dance around the subject. You know you look tired as shit and you know he can see that, so you just cut down to the chase. 

“I’m on my period, Miles.” you groan out frustrated, stopping your workout or dropping your pen on your lab report. 

He freezes and shuts up. It doesn’t get him embarrassed or anything like that, the answer just takes him by surprise. He was expecting you to say that someone was getting on your nerves or that you had too much to do. 

He had almost forgotten that that happens to women. Then again, your answer had refreshed a few old memories and he understood what you were going through, from the biological view. He knew how it worked and why it happened and for how long etc. 

He didn’t want to make you feel worse so he silently left the room and returned with a hot drink in his hand for you. He will let it slide once. Then, you will have to ask politely again. 

“Do you want company?” he asks, not wanting to get on your nerves. 

You are unable to answer and you nod your head, groaning again before taking the cup into both hands and just holding it for a while. 

He doesn’t start small talk, you both just sit in peaceful silence. He might scan over a few of your reports without understanding them or might take a look at the equipment you were using to workout. 

Miles enjoys your company just as much as you do. And he was ready to help you if you needed anything. He was also happy to be spending time with you. 

He knew you were quiet when it came to personal things so he felt a sense of pride in his chest when you felt comfortable enough to just tell him what’s going on. 

Mansk: (sorry for the low quality gif)

You would both be outside on a mission. The whole team was out but you were divided into groups to cover more ground. He was focused on his surroundings, eyeing every tree and listening to every noise. 

You were both advancing through the forest pretty quickly and after a while, you started to feel bad. 

Mansk was walking ahead of you when he heard a groan behind him. With quick movements, he swung around and aimed his gun right at you. He relaxed his body and let his ears perk back up when he saw that you were not being attacked. 

“What are you doin’?” he asks, lowering his weapon and slowly walking back to your hunched-over figure. You were leaned against a tree, one hand clutching your stomach and wrapping around your waist tightly. 

Mansk noticed your odd position and started to think about what was happening. He stood next to you, eyes scanning over your body before he looked around again to ensure both of your safety. 

“You good?” he asked, leaning down to try and read my facial expression. 

“Just- give me a moment.” I say, biting my lip. This cramp was almost unbearable and it hit me without a warning. 

He nodded, standing up-right again but in reality, this man had no idea what was going on. His first thoughts were food poisioning or maybe you got sick from the helicopter ride here.

I stood up again, the feeling gone. 

“All good, let’s go.” I say, my normal self back again. Mansk was confused as shit. He stood still, watching you start to walk again. His mind was like a television without signal. After a few moments, you gasped and bent over, clutching your abdomen again. 

While he was still oblivious to your period symptoms, he was more worried and jogged over to you, resting a hand on your back. 

“Do you need-” he started to ask but my moody self interrupted him. 

“Shhhh… I need quiet.” I mumble. He ran out of ideas. He was about to settle on the hypothesis that you had just lost your mind until you mumbled something that made his ears perk up. 

“I’m on my period, it’ll be fine in a sec.” 

Right. Periods. He forgot about those. 

His eyes glanced at your shorts and he was relieved to not see any blood. Mansk had no idea what to do, how to help you or just how to deal with the situation himself. 

“You want water?” he genuinely asked, offering me his bottle. I look up at him, showing clear signs of discomfort and he doubts his question, leaning his ears back. He felt a little stupid for not knowing what to do. Usually in missions, he was the one to have the best ideas on how to do whatever. Now, he felt useless.

“Yes, why not.” I say, grabbing it from him. My answer surprised him. 

“Thank you.” I mumbled, wiping a few drops with the back of my hand from my mouth. He nodded, smiling to himself that he had managed to do something in your favour.

“We can keep going again.” you softly say, straightening your posture and turning around again. 

Mansk isn’t a very talkative person, therefor you both walk in silence most of the way again. But neither of you mind. You are distracted by your discomfort anyway. 

From now on, he will always offer you water.

Water obviously doesn’t help against pain, you were just thirsty from walking, but Mansk doesn’t know that. You weren’t going to tell him either. Looking at him, you saw how he was holding the bottle ready in one hand, so he could give it to you again. It was sweet that he wanted to help, even if he didn’t know how. 

He makes sure to stay close by your side, incase you need to stop again. Mansk is slightly more cautious now because he knows your attention is elsewhere. That is also why he suddenly feels very protective of you. 

When you return to the others he doesn’t spill that you are shedding blood as you speak. If you weren't there and it would be his buddies, he would though. Just to brag about how well he thinks he handled the situation. 

Upon arriving, he pretends as if nothing happened and that it was a normal situation, trying to forget the little panic moment he felt before. 

Mansk also pushes anyone sitting next to you away, so that he can be by your side. 

Lyle Wainfleet: 

You and Lyle work out regularly together. It started off when you would just run into eachother at the gym room. He started conversation with you and it formed a friendship. Now you meet up and both do your workout together. You help spot him while he helps to ensure that you keep a stable form and stuff. 

Anyway, right now you and him are competing against each other, trying to see who can hold a plak the longest. 

You’re going 2 minutes strong and you were ready to hold it longer. Lyle was keeping his posture obtained too. 

Suddenly you started to feel a light pressure in your lower abdomen. Within seconds, it became more intense and then it struck you like an arrow from hell, causing you to fall flat on the ground. Immediately, you turned to your side, scrunching up and hugging your waist as you experienced discomfort. 

Next to you, Lyle cheered. 

“Ha, told you so. You almost had 3 minutes. I can go for another 3, just watch and-” he started bragging until his gaze landed on you all curled up into a ball. 

“Okay, don’t you dare trick me into thinking you’re hurt just so I can’t break my record.” he chuckled, focusing on his plank again. After you hadn’t moved in a few seconds he glanced back at you. 

He was starting to get worried. 

“Y/N quit playin’.” he said but already, you were able to pick up a hint of worry in his voice.

“Y/N.” he repeated, hoping you would turn around smiling. But you stayed still. Something felt off to him so he decided to stop. He got out of his plank position and knelt beside you. Lyle looked down and noticed your facial expression. You were in fact not messing with him. He felt slightly relieved by that but then again worried for you. 

“You okay?” he asks, slightly shaking your arm. You nod but stay in your position. Lyle is confused now. What are you doing?

Did you get a cramp from the workout? Even the word ‘cramp’ didn’t ring a bell in this soldier's head. 

“I think I just got my period.” you whined. You were dreading it but it had to come eventually. 

Lyle’s eyes went wide. “Oh…” he said, almost sounding like it was a whisper. “Right…” 

“Just give me a moment, I’ll be fine in a few…” you mumbled, keeping your eyes squeezed shut. 

“Yeah, sure. Of course. Take as-as long as you need…” he started rambling. “We are in no hurry, just- yeah take your time. You know, relax.” 

“Lyle.” I warn him. 

“Yep, I’ll be quiet. I’ll just sit here and wait with you until you feel better. Which you will, right? Like, this thing won’t-”

“Lyle!” I snap at him. I was short-tempered at the moment and I couldn’t deal with his long string of words. 

He sat in silence, watching me to make sure I wouldn’t pass out or die. While he did still find himself fascinated with how the female body worked, it scared him to a certain extent. If he would see blood on your leggings, he would definitely freak out.

Once the cramp fades away, you sit up, taking a few deep breaths. Lyle continues to watch you patiently and you smile and apologise for snapping. He isn’t upset. Lyle is an overly friendly angel and just wanted you to feel better. If you had asked him to, that man would have sat next to you for a few hours. Even if you fell asleep, he would not leave your side.

Since you were in a vulnerable state, he was happy he was the one looking out for you. And look out for you he will. He will get you absolutely anything and will make sure you are comfortable. If someone would need to talk to you he would handle it, sending them away. If you would get cold, he would cover you in his jacket or hoodie, etc. Wainfleet was just a big friendly giant to those he cared about.

I absolutely fell in love with this statue when I first saw it. I not only loved the pose, but I loved how the lantern can light up as well. The fact that they turned this iconic scene into a statue made me so happy. They only made 138 of these statues, and unfortunately they are no longer being sold on any of the trusted GK figure sites. (there are a few sketchy websites selling them, that I honestly wouldn't trust) They were made quite a while ago so the price has inflated, and the only place I've seen them for sale is ebay, which is where I got mine. It came in great condition and the seller was really great, so if you'd like a link send me a message and I'll send it to you. The only downside is that this figure is very expensive, and for some reason, it got even more expensive after I purchased mine. I personally don't think it's worth the price it's going for, but if you really want one I'll send you a link! P.s. sorry for the bad quality photos, I tried taking them in low light so you could see the lantern.

This one is super cute! It's extremely detailed, the faces look perfect, and they even made Ume's tears look realistic. Overall this is a really beautiful statue. There were only 388 of these made. This one is a lot cheaper than the one above though, but it is pretty much only being sold on ebay now. If you'd like a link to it send me a message and I'll happily send you a link. Keep in mind though, they just announced an official figure similar to this one. It doesn't look that great in my opinion, but it's much cheaper and available for pre-order right now.

I also like to draw, but it's harder for me than writing. In drawing, I prefer to use a technique, that is, a drawing tablet with a screen, rather than paper and pencils. I also like to spend time playing video games and reading books or watching some movies and anime (my favorite genres are related to fantasy and science fiction… And when it comes to video games, I prefer RPG). I also like to study things related to my interests - astronomy, psychology, birds, reptiles.

Aesthetic/Style/Overall Vibe: I'm not quite sure what that means… well, I prefer a combination of several colors, usually black with some other color (for example, blue) in clothes, if that's what it's about. Did I understand correctly what this means?

hi, i'm sorry if this is annoying, but what does putting noise in a gif mean? and why does it matter? i am a starter gifmaker and i want to improve as much as possible, but sometimes tutorials don't tell everything. i would be very thankful if you explained, but don't worry if it's too much trouble. your gifs are very beautiful.

aah no worries, thank you, i'll try to explain to the best of my abilities - it requires a bit of basic gif making knowledge. basically the difference is this:

this is not a great example - which is why i initially wanted to remake this set because imo it looks fine without any noise - but if you want to make bigger gifs from lesser quality videos it kind of works, you just have to experience with the balance, too much noise also makes it look kind of wonky.

so i make gifs by converting them to smart objects - which is when you usually do all your sharpening and stuff. if you want to, you can also add noise (basically those dust-like specks) now keep in mind, i would never do this for a HQ download, i only do it if the colouring is entirely unfixable and it's in bad low q (like youtube 1080p)

you add it from Filter > Noise > Add Noise. These are my settings usually

It *kind of* makes a difference - then you go about your gifmaking process in the same way, just imagine it as another sharpen layer.

I hope this helps you in some way, but again lol I rarely do this, as it increases the gif size *drastically* so most of the time it's really not worth it (I think the only time I did this was with my Batman gifs that I made from the trailer, otherwise it's just a hassle)

Ok I NEED to know if people understand that the reason why stylised CGI usually holds up better than anything that attempts photorealism is because technology was only able to create almost perfectly photoreal CG around like 30 (if that) years ago

Older CGI that attempts photorealism is not bad because "stylised is just better". It's because the VFX artists were literally INVENTING THE TECHNOLOGY AS THEY WERE WORKING I BEG movie goers to remember that behind every dodgy CG shot in any live action movie that came out pre-1990s (hell even post that) most likely took a team of people smarter than everyone in your movie theatre to create That's not even taking into account time crunches and budget restrictions. Two factors that are big players, especially in something like TV Shows That's why shows like Star Trek TNG that came out and were produced through out the 90s were still using practical models for the hero ships but compositing them digitally. And even jumping over to its spin offs like DS9 and Voyager where CGI is used a lot more. The actual space station Deep Space 9 is only CGI in ONE SHOT in the whole seven seasons of the show. And in Voyager you can see, I mean literally, with your own eyes, how the technology used to create the CGI they began to use improves over the run of the later seasons Please. Please. PLEASE. It is so so important to have appreciation for stylised CGI and photoreal. Especially now, when VFX artists are getting the real short ass end of the stick CGI is its own art form and it's the studios who want you to blame it, rather than them, for any percived low quality aspects of a movie or show Next time you see a dodgy CGI shot in a movie, I want you to think about why it looks like that. Really. Because I am telling you now that it is not the fault of the artists. 900000000 times out of 10 it's because of the studio overworking and under paying their artists Sorry for the big rant, it wasn't entierly relevant but I'm a big VFX/CGI fan and it's kinda one of my special interests so I like to talk about it when I get the chance

There are instances where CGI ages gracefully, and I think the best examples are stylized 2D animation from the 2000’s or so.

Go rewatch Invader Zim. The show still looks shockingly good for being 20 years old, and none of the CGI looks dated, because it’s stylized to fit the look of the show.

Pet peeves: Well, I think the full list of such things would be too long… So here are some that I managed to remember. All of them are somehow related to the invasion of my personal space (for example, when someone stares at the screen of my phone or laptop and comments on what is there) without my permission. I also don't like being distracted from something I'm very focused on (for example, when I'm writing a text, and it's at this moment that someone suddenly wants to chat with me for no important reason). I am also annoyed by people who believe that they know everything and cannot make mistakes, and will never admit their mistakes.

Other facts: I have a fickle and confused sleep schedule (sometimes I sleep more than 16 hours, sometimes less than 4 hours, because I have short insomnia). Contrary to popular belief I don't think that Vox is too emotional. He has a tech boy vibe about him and doesn't tend to be overly emotional. He has his more pitiful moments sure but honestly he's not as bad as some other characters

As for looking down on people... he needs an ego check. Go crazy

It was definitely very...very surprising and confusing for other lesser demons to see such... non scary scenes in front of them, especially one who were lowermoons and see them on more “regular" basis than others, who was that demon?

You were there practically chilling amongst uppermoons, one whi could kill any human or demon alive being so... tolerant with you? No one even remembers how did you even spawn in Infinity Castle at one of meetings they had with Muzan, yet everyone seemed to sooner or later get comfortable with you around, your presence giving each individual some kind of comfort to them...

Kokushibo only likes to spend some quality time with you after it took him a long time to get comfortable and used to you, now reading books or playing hanafuda together. He liked your presence when he got time to spend without training or killing people. It reminded him of his past self and life, his wife and two kids he left to chase his dream, it brings a sense of domestic warmth and comfort in his lonely life for the second time in his life after he willingly lost it. He even consider having you all to himself, what can other demons do about it? absolutely nothing.

Douma likes to receive physical affection and acts of service from you. He loves when you put your head on his chest, his arms wrapping around your waist and pulling you in his lap as low beings (humans) or different called his followers in Eternal Paradise Faith as you two listens to them and gives them advices. He simply cannot choose between having you close to him or when you go out and easily collect new followers that are especially young human women that he can eat sooner or later, he simply adores you <3

Akaza crave quality time and words of affirmation from you, or better said someone. He is living for a second time to avenge his death fiancée, but as any other being he grows to be closer to you. He can only pray that Koyuki isn’t jealous or mad at him as you praise him while watching moon together , your beautiful smile shining underneath moonlight as he caught a glimpse of her in you :(

Hantengu needs words of affirmation to survive due his constant suffering from his past self, all kills, lies and evil is laying heavily on his soul so he stoped crying as much as before. (i don’t like him so this is bad, sorry not sorry 🤷‍♀️)

Gyokko prefers to receive acts of service and gift giving as a form of affection from you, since he lives in vases he started liking you when you gifted him a handmade vase. He liked it very much that he almost considered living in that one instead of this he was using that was given by Douma. He absolutely loved when you cleaned all of his vases once, even organized them in order by shape, size, pattern and color :)

Daki + Gyutaro needs all 5 love languages, so count on words of affirmation, acts of service, receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. They were kids/very young when they died so they considered you as a sibling/guardian/prerent in some way. Letting you tend their needs and expectations, they also wants you all to themselves sooner or later :3
