Now that most of us have seen the new chapter, here are some of my personal favourite illustrations I've made for the credits of Garten of Banban 0! I had so much fun figuring out the dynamic poses. Sad the last concept got rejected, but totally understandable 😂 It is my greatest honor to be apart of this franchise.

I actually drew them a long time ago but I was still trying to figure out how to color Lil Beak. I was also planning to draw the other chicks too but I didn't have the motivation and didn't feel motivated to do more. So I just finished up Lil Beak and here they are!

One of these days I'll draw the rest of the family ;w; So here, Tarta is the stay-at-home ostrich dad while Opilia is a flamingo mom and an arts-n-crafts teacher. Their children are mixed. I've yet to actually figure out their personalities yet

But I believe Opilia might be a little chatty. And these two can be pretty reactive, especially in the face of trouble. Also I heard in the GOBB wiki Opilia and Tarta means "cake" in (For Tarta in Spanish; Opilia in Basque) That's why I like to refer to them as the Pastry Birds.

Notes:

in this Rewrite, each character has a sanity level, with 5 being sane, and 0 being corrupted. The reason for the corruption is the Givanium in the characters' systems that causes them to crave flesh, even if they are not a carnivore.

The Rewrite takes place a year after the shutdown of the Kindergarten. Banban, or 'Uthman', has been mostly surviving on his own, as most of the experiments have completely corrupted. He ventures out from his hideout on the second level of the facility to a floor above him, and finds Opila and her one remaining chick Littlebeak. She is understandably scared at first, cause she also believed her and her chick were the only sane ones left, but after an explanation, Uthman and Opila team up to explore the lower levels and find a way to escape, as the top level was barricaded by a mechanized lock that requires a key card. Of which neither have.

Soft Garten #6

Opila and Tarta were good parents even when in an extremely stressed state and I have nothing but praise for them. After a long period of the Janitor bringing the adult birds food regularly, Opila basically decided "you are my big chick now" and started trying to preen him, form covers on his bed into more of a nest, making sure to leave a portion of the food for him to eat and dumping the chicklets on him when they need some time to themselves.

What genders are Opila and Tarta? Good question. Checking the gender of a bird is hard enough on its own, the Janitor does not know for sure which one laid the eggs and they are technically a lab-grown, non-existent bird species. They seem happy either way. (I might make the heart scene into a sticker)

The chicklets cannot speak or fly (yet?), but their superpowers are getting to extremely bizarre places on their own (as pictured), gently fluttering down from those places and being extremely cute.

Sneaky Snake makes the appearance once again with my headcanon that Bittergiggles sews his own puppets and sticks his tongue out when threading the needle.

I wrote in one of the previous posts that the Banban Crew had to undergo some repairs and cleaning. Well, some of them might be more opposed to this idea than others. Let's just say that Nabnab is not an aquatic species. I tried to make him at least a bit cuter, but he is still supposed to be a bodyguard - and does not have to interact with children much. Unlike a spider, he has great eyesight and even night vision! Like a spider, he likes to be a creepy little dude, hiding on the ceiling.
