#alright i suppose i should tell what's up lately! im mostly posting this like a mini update or whatever haha #so - since i made that last post on my disappearance i worked endlessly to finish my animation project and thank goodness it's finally over #i had to take a break from trying to be social here and just stay in my own space and i did that by having a smaller side blog to ramble #the project was very... tiring - definitely took out so much energy from me post physically and mentally and i was just frustrated everyday #so i just took my time to be alone with a few close people and i like to think im okay now?#i like to think so - since i was able to deliver a few commission drafts today so i'm relieved that im back to my usual pace #I'll post a few of my doodles here i did during my project just to fill the void haha #i've acquired a minor familial from another video game and i care for him a lot :] idk ill bother to talk abt it here but yeah thats funnn #also indulging a lil bit of t.n.m.n content as of late also thanks to my friend who knows abt it hehe #soo yeah! #xenia.txt #when i tell you this case keeps me up at night to this day #not even the murders themselves as much as the general public's reception to and opinions on the case 3 decades later like #i get why it;s always been so divisive especially after the pl docus came out (lots of opinions on those btw none of them are good #from the bottom of my heart fuck you joe berlinger and bruce sinofsky)#but it's truly baffling how no one is willing to do the research on what is arguably THE most well documented true crime case in recent #history like. everything that's ever been released to the general public is available online and i mean everything #you can find all the court files trial transcripts depositions interogation tapes aerial photos you name it it's out there for anyone with #internet connection to access at any and all hours of the day #and yet people are still foaming at the mouth fighting on reddit abt their innocence based off nothing but a couple of movies like #bffr with me right now!! almost every point the innocenters make can be easily debunked by scrolling through callahan for 15 minutes #'but they've been pushing for dna testing since their release so they can't be guilty' baby the case is closed!#it's been closed the second they took the plea. they can be striking under that courthouse and it still won't change a thing and they knowi #that's why they're pushing for it in the first place but that's just my opinion #^ and i say they but it's really only echols which makes a lot of sense to me personally #and if you want to talk abt dna testing let's talk abt the one that was done in 2011 and how the defense hurried to propose the plea as soo #as they got the results! let's talk abt those cause no one's ever seen them and i would very much like to #braga share the results the people want to know!!#makes me wonder which pieces of evidence they even submitted for that 2011 testing because if i'm remembering correctly #there was one that would've closed this case instantly and maybe that's why the results were never disclosed and the plea was rushed #but that's also just my opinion #and it's also interesting how the majority of people who have in fact deep dived into this case #(and i'm not talking abt big true crime youtubers as i'm very sceptical abt their research abilities)#all collectively lean towards guilty. much to think about #i was hoping someone would make another ~actually~ unbiased documentary for the 30th anniversary and go over all the case files #but i don't think that's even realistic at this point seeing as everyone and their mother has some sort of an opinion on this case #hbo deserves another lawsuit for this. they should've never won the first one in the first place #true crime tw

ok so was I just not paying attention (or not actually around anyone who talked about it when it was airing) or did everyone forget to tell me Gravity Falls is actually good

#idk man I was under the impression it was silly and stupid but also had an undertone of interesting characters and mystery #It's the opposite; honestly really sincere #and the jokes land honestly #not all of them for me specifically of course #but I just saw the episode that the 'wow this is worthless' meme came from and that joke actually made me laugh out loud #I'm not very far in but man this is good so far #obviously it reuses a lot of well-trodden tropes but this is some of my favorite execution I've seen of a lot of them #the dipper clone episode was in-character and interesting and clever #the twins have a good relationship with each other and Stan and Wendy and Soos #Dipper's crush on Wendy is based on him actually liking her personality and not on 'hrrr girl pretty' and he acts a normal amount of awkwar #around her instead of completely loosing his mind #Mable isn't a complete bobblehead she's just a silly girl! A little goofball! an actual person who likes sparkles and being funny! and #still has a brain like a normal person and can talk seriously!#we'll see but it's impressing me so far #maybe this was another case of exaggeratedly stupid advertising (for the people who wouldn't have watched it unless it had stupid stuff)#or maybe it's just that I was never around anyone who was really into it personally while it was going #feather rambles #ok I'l maintag #gravity falls

Interesting that the # of licensed drivers in the US is decreasing

#not really ig bc urbanization is still a force #but it remains up in the air whether we're going to see improvements in public transportation over the next couple decades afaik #also i think a lot of the migration to cities rn is cities that have definitively poor public transportation e.g. houston #or my own beloved charlotte (not beloved)#from experience i know that it can actually be more difficult & less safe to navigate without a car in those places than in rural areas #(btw just looked it up and confirmed it is this sort of city that's seeing population growth)#(mostly)#soo back to why are licensed driver numbers dropping #i think i want to pin it on lack of resources?#plus this is mostly an issue among young adults many of whom weren't physically at school during the time when students take driving classes #this interests me bc people have always thought it was really weird i never learned to drive but i've noticed more and more ppl #especially young women #talking about not knowing how to drive

I think what often misses the mark for me when consuming art and writing or just conceptualizing g/t media is the base experience/feelings evoked by g/t are very often overlooked/not captured by certain things for me. Like, for example, simply seeing my favorite character but big isn’t always going to hit the mark as would a scenario/scene/concept that captures this certain personal, inner sensory experience almost. Like g/t art that is very evocative is something that I really appreciate and enjoy, like, oh you get it, whether intentional/conscious or not.

I also have autism LOL

#idk if anyone else gets this #this also isn’t meant to be hating or feeling superior to any art that isn’t evocative cuz I can enjoy that as well!!#it’s just this certain experience… or feelings evoked by certain g/t media/art/writing that I feel is soo specific #and often times not captured or hard to capture in a way #or maybe it’s just me thinking too hard about liking something or something resonating with me or not idk!!#I just have autism and introspect a lot #gt #g/t #giant/tiny #g/t talk #g/t community #sfw g/t #g/t fluff #g/t related

#my girlfriend. i love his little similes #i wrote an essay about his similes in aeneid book 12 #lots to say about them....... the shift from turnus and aeneas being compared to two predator animals to turnus becoming a prey animal.....#sooo sexy #everybody say thank you virgil #alsooo. hunting dog and trapped deer simile in book 12. so perfect and sums up aeneas and turnus' relationship soooo well god #AND not an animal simile but the one about turnus where it starts talking about dreams is sooo human i cried #latin #virgil #my only gripe with the similes is theyre soo difficult to translate for some reason like i just struggle with them so much more #i can generally translate his stuff very consistently but as soon as i see velut i know it's over for me

ive had an. Intersting relationship with my aromanticism honestly.

#like i have KNOWN im asexual ever since 5th grade #literally i learned what the term meant and went Oh yeah thats me #i deadass didnt even know what the word lesbian meant at the time #i just knew that described me #but also. i thought at the time that it meant romantic attraction #i was young and didnt rlly understand what the difference was (and i know its very nuanced and hard to distinguish to begin with)#but ever since then i havent even questioned my asexuality. Im sure about that #but ive been soo back and forth on being aro #even to this day i question if i like people platonically or romantically #i start to doubt myself a lot and feel like im faking it and then i hear an allo person talk about what crushes feel like and i realize im #aro again though LOLL #i dont know. My stepmom doesnt think aroace people are real so i am very proud of myself out of spite #especially not aros #im just yapping here. I love being aro and the older i get the more i love it #i am in a romantic relationship with another aroace person and both of us are so confused and i think thats awesome actually #i dont care that i dont feel what people always described as romantic feelings toward others because i can love people in so many other way #if any other confused aros are reading this i love you. we are so cool :)

you know what i would love to see one day? an animated adaptation of alex rider. it's far fetched but imagine how awesome it would be. biblically accurate character designs. fully leaning into the silliness of it all. more freedom to adapt the books. ugh it would be so good.

#i was talking about this with my brother last night #he read the books when he was a kid #we both agreed that while the live action tv series is amazing #an animated one would just have a lot more freedom #they wouldn't have to worry about actors ageing out of their roles #i highly doubt we'll get an animated series but I'll dream about it when i close my eyes #i dunno i just think no one appreciates animation as much as they should!#(btw i feel the same way about this as i do the percy jackson show)#((loved it but like an animated series of that would be soo good as well))#alex rider #alex rider books #alex rider tv
