how the hell do you afford all this stuff 💀
Um like I guess I never really thought about it but I prolly look insane. So just to be very clear most of the stuff you saw like the manga and figures- majority of them have been from me collecting over years and years or have been gifts (mostly things like the funkos and the occasional Ace figure lmao).
But uh I saved up a lot, I thankfully don’t have any debts, my work pays me pretty well. and I live with my parents for free, so I’m privileged and lucky in that regard. I basically have no other expenses besides the occasional bill for medical things and work or whatever I want to buy. So it does give me a lot more free rein to get stuff.
I also stopped the bad habit of wanting to buy things immediately- majority of the time you can just wait and things will become discounted. Like, before I had access to online shopping, I saved my birthday money and bought the manga when B&N (since it is basically the only book retailer near me 🥹) had sales. And now that I have online shopping I just wait for them to be discounted like now- instead of paying 20 bucks for one of the volumes I can just get it at 13 and slowly build up. It’s not a race, it can take as long as you want.
#rambles#just waiting for sales or getting stuff second hand can save a lot#I moved away from scales and got non scales that did the job that I wanted#so instead of forking over 300 bucks for an Uta figure I just got a huge 20 buck one#or instead of getting a nendo at 60#I got it at 23#sometimes sales are just a luck of the draw#keep being patient and it might get discounted for you!

lee incorporated, one of the biggest companies to rule the world, was now facing trouble with its sales—something never seen before in the many years the company has been in operation.
its success had been ongoing throughout the years, making it impossible for new competitors to even make it as such—until the last few years.
the feud between the two companies had been going on publicly, only adding to the sales of each one as well as increasing their popularity.
heeseung didn't understand why the other company seemed never to give up and, in fact, kept shooting up in sales before his very eyes. his family was counting on him to keep the legacy of lee incorporated, but he was beginning to think it was impossible.
throughout the last year, you've been meeting up with different investors who seem to be interested in having some kind of connection with your company. you've also had the opportunity to be in the same room as heeseung, the future owner of your competition.
it was evident how frustrated he would get when an investor would set up a meeting with the both of you, thus making it easier for them to see which company would be the better option. his eyes shot glares at you every time, as if every look was a dagger thrown straight at your back.
that was the case now. both of you stood side by side as you gave a presentation as to why the investors should choose one over the other. you were both professional enough to keep it calm but couldn't help glaring at each other from time to time.
"thank you for your time, both of you. we will be reaching out to the candidate we like most, and we wish the other party the best of luck."
both of you bowed politely until the meeting room was empty, leaving only the two of you in the room. you sighed, taking a seat in one of the chairs that had been occupied moments ago.
"if you're that tired, just give up," heeseung said, fixing the sleeves of his white button-down.
you scoffed, grabbing a fistful of hair to tie it into a bun. "as if."
every encounter ended almost like this. sometimes you would exchange more than two words; other times you would bicker until someone else caught both of your attentions; or sometimes you wouldn’t say anything at all, one of you walking out of the room right away.
there was a spark you felt between the both of you that only lit up in such moments. heeseung felt it, too. but it was only normal to feel such hatred when your enemy is in the same room as you.

Smiling Critter Office AU
This idea has been pestering me. Basically, the Critters work at a regional office of a conglomerate company called Daylight, Inc. Here are the critters:
Dawson "DogDay" Dayton
Regional Manager.
Nepo baby (his dad is the CEO).
His friends/employees sometimes make fun of him for this.
Doesn't like flaunting his family's wealth. (At least not explicitly; just look at the three-piece suits he always wears).
Throws the best office parties.
Weighed down by his family's lofty expectations.
Felix "CatNap" Nightly
Assistant Regional Manager. NOT Assistant to the Regional Manager. He gets hissy if you get that wrong.
Sleeps on the job constantly, but he somehow manages to get all his work done. Therefore, DogDay sees no reason to fire him.
Cat of few words.
Comes from a poor family.
NEVER ask him to do any public speaking. He'll just run away.
Holds a grudge against Daylight. What for? That's a story for another time.
Christine "CraftyCorn" DaVinci
Receptionist/DogDay's secretary.
Has a huge crush on him, but is scared of being seen as a gold digger.
Ultimately dreams of being an artist, but got stuck with this job, which she views as a dead-end one.
Surprisingly enough, she can drink anyone under the table.
Doodles in her spare time, but immediately destroys them.
Her sleep schedule is ABYSMAL.
Roberta "Bearhug" Grylls
Head of HR and is ACTUALLY good at it.
One of the office's two chain smokers.
Abandonment issues and separation anxiety due to her parents dying. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Huge crush on CatNap.
Tried her hand at being a sales rep, but somehow ended up getting an innocent person's house raided. DogDay had to beg his dad not to fire her.
Henrietta "Hoppy" Hopscotch
Sales rep
Office menace
Ongoing prank war with Kickin
Keeps weapons around the office
Makes a contest out of everything
Kyle "KickinChicken" Gallifore
Sales rep
Best-dressed one here after DogDay
Skateboards to work or takes a dirt bike
Ongoing prank war with Hoppy
From a family of entertainers
He's only here because he needs to do something before he gets his big break. Or at least that's what he says.
Pauline "PickyPiggy" Berkshire
Accountant
Helps with the food aspect of DogDay's office parties
Sassy and headstrong when she wants to be
From a family of farmers
Steals any unattended food
Surprisingly scary when she gets angry
William "Bubbaphant" Mammuthus
Head of Accounting Department
The office's other chain smoker
Most likely to take up overtime
Photographic memory. He remembers everything his friends have ever done since they met. Good luck winning an argument against him.
Sick of his everyone's crap
(If anyone could draw this, that would be nice)

Hi! I faintly remember you mentioning somewhere that you were planning to get a new drawing tablet. Did you end up purchasing one? If yes, would you mind sharing your choice? I've been using a small screenless wacom tablet for years and I need a new one now, but I've been thinking about getting a better one this time. Is it even worth it if I only draw as a hobby?
Hi! Yup, I did get one! Here's a random pic of my workspace (+ extra sneak peek of StOP lol)
I got a Huion Kamvas 16 (2.5k) :)
I take getting a new drawing tablet VERY SERIOUSLY so I spent a long time considering my options. If you're looking to buy a new one, I do have some recommendations!
1) Never buy Wacom again lol
Here's the thing, Wacom is a good brand, my first tablet was Wacom too, but they are the Apple of drawing tablets. Sure, they're good quality, but they're HORRENDOUSLY overpriced, you're mainly just purchasing the brand when you buy one. A few years ago they were the obvious choice because they were the best around, but nowadays? Other brands are just as good if not BETTER for sometimes half the price (or even less).
If you're debating on whether or not to get a pen display (with a screen), that honestly would depend mostly on your budget. Even if you're a hobbyist, getting a pen display is fine, the most important factor is how much you are willing to spend on one of these. The one I got is like a semi professional tablet and it's priced at $599 on the official store, right now they have a sale and it's at $529 (though I got it for much cheaper lol)
The other factor would honestly be how you work + what kind of space you have. As you can tell, my desk is small and it's kinda cramped, there are A LOT OF CABLES with this thing and I think that's kinda the standard for pen displays :/ I'm also having to readjust to how to work with the buttons + the keyboard. (you can get an extra small keypad for this, but I didn't). Moreover, if you want something that's portable, these... Are not great for that, they're usually big boys and like I said, there are a lot of cables
I have to say, I only got it like a week ago and I'm having to readjust to this new way of working, but the actual experience while drawing and using the pen is quite nice! The large working area is interesting and I think I'm drawing faster with it! I always wanted to get one of these and I'm very happy with my purchase.
So yeah! It has pros and cons, but overall it's a good experience. Don't feel pressure to switch to a pen display though, normal pen tablets work just fine obviously and if you're not crazy about the idea of a pen display, or you don't have the budget, it's not really a deal breaker. For real though, don't get Wacom lol Huion and XP pen are two of the best, affordable brands right now.
Lastly, check the specs! Check the reviews! Check unboxings! Preferably from people that were not sponsored by the brand (they'll obviously talk better about the product). This applies to any new tablet you get, whether it's a pen display or a pen tablet. Compare models if you need to, I was debating between this one and a similar xp pen model and I was lucky enough to find a girl reviewing both of them and comparing them.
Sorry I went on kinda long haha but I hope it helped!! Good luck!

We, as a culture, need to let go of the "dream job." You know, that fantasy that people have of turning their hobby or side hustle into a career. The "pick a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life" cliche. The one we feed by reading success stories of people who got youtube famous and now live of animation and merch sales.
These things do happen, and it is a worthy goal to try to choose a job you enjoy. As individuals, I wish all of you luck in turning your passions into something profitable. But on a cultural level, the "dream job" distracts from some of the fundamental problems of modern capitalism. It presents the problem as "You the individual are living a soulless unfulfilling life because you're stuck in the rat race" and the solution as "Those drawings you do in your free time are probably good enough to make money from somehow. Set up an etsy! Get on youtube! Maybe buy an art store and teach classes!" And that is a valid experience that many people have. There are lots of awesome people out there living off their creative endeavors, and I celebrate them. But here are some things:
This isn't scalable. While art/artists are a very important part of a society, there are essential jobs that just aren't creative. Someone needs to work in healthcare, someone needs to do the accounting, and someone needs to grow the food.
It frames the people who do stay in the rat race as just too dumb/depressed to take an alternative. In a subtle way, it presents the "dream job" as something that you can earn if you're dedicated/clever enough. But there may be many reasons why people stay in 'normal' jobs. Perhaps they have a family, and aren't willing to risk the chance of financial instability.
You still end up giving the most privileged life to people who are lucky and who have a skill that some people will never have. Even if we could scale this, some people will be more or less talented, or will have had more or less opportunities to develop that talent. Basing success on art skills would be slightly better than what it's based on currently, but it's still a fairly arbitrary and unequal characteristic.
Making art and running a business to sell art are two very different things. You have to find a platform to sell on, you have to find a payment method. You have to be your own boss, you have to decide on a "Sorry, I know you spend a crazy amount of time making a sculpture of a lobster making out with a rock, but if you look at my email I actually asked for a lobster making out with THE Rock. Can I get a refund?" policy. Art isn't the only skill required here.
Sometimes marketing your art kills the joy of it. I used to love making polymer clay jewelry, and I eventually sold some at farmers markets. but I found that when I made things just to stock up on inventory, I spend less time on each individual thing, and got less joy out of making it. I stopped seeing it as a cool thing that someone would enjoy, and just as a chore.
The "dream job" does address a real problem, but it addresses it in the way giving a barking dog a hushpuppy does. You throw something out as a solution that doesn't solve the problem, but is attractive enough to distract from anger at the system. Instead of trying to find the (imaginary or very rare) jobs that are actually good, we need to work on making all jobs tolerable. We should be able to live a decent life even in a mundane job. And to do that, we need to stop getting distracted by a mirage.

Hello!!
I was wondering- and im sorry if anyone has already asked you this- but what art program do you use?? My pen broke and I haven't been able to draw for a month. I'd like to get back into it, with the new one, and move on from Auto Desk Sketchbook.
Your art is amazing and the muscle anatomy has actually helped me a lot. That and you're a huge inspiration for me. So, thank you, for being you I guess ^^
it's no probles
I first started off with PaintTool SAI and got SAIv2 afterward. Used that for about.... gosh... close to 15 years?
I'm currently using Clip Studio Paint and imo it's a great purchase (get it when it's on sale, sometimes it's 50% off and definitely worth it) It's a bit of a learning curve but if you just watch tutorial videos on youtube and open your mind up to learning and knowing it's going to be a bit difficult you should be fine. It's also available for iPad as well so that's an upside! (sai is not sadly) There is also Procreate which I think is a great purchase and if you're interested in animating, you are in luck because the Procreate Devs are making an animation program called Procreate Dreams which is 20 bucks (CAD) :) I'd wait on that purchase though because I'm not sure how great it'll be for actually animating but I've been seeing good things.
Thank you lol glad I can help inspire ya'll :)

Short form reviews x7
Might make longer reviews of some of these but here's a rapidfire of some games I consider truly exceptional (that you probably havent heard of already.) Because a lot of these are too good to not know about for even a day longer.
[Sifu]: First person fighting game about getting revenge with kung fu, Insanely hard game, very hard to master, very rewarding. Get it if you like fighting games or hard games, Single player only, 8/10.
[One step from eden]: Usually deckbuilder roguelikes are more slow paced. This one turns it into a FPS where if you don't have high APM you're dead meat. The execution is steller, the character options are great, the difficulty is nightmarish, and the music is amazing. Also it just came out with a multiplayer fighting game spinoff. 9/10
[Balatro]: Another roguelike with a twist, this one is poker themes but your hands deal damage. Kill the enemy in a limited number of them by grabbing muultipliers, modifiers, and special effects. One of the best designed ones i've seen lately, just go try it now. 9.5/10.
[Luck be a landlord]: This one is a much shorter game, but it's very hard to stop playing once you try. the demo for this one is free on steam and of a good size. Only about 4 hours of good gameplay though so get it on sale maybe. 6/10.
[Cassette Beasts]: It's a monster catching game but with a good plot and good combat that isn't just "Oneshot them with your strongest attack move" looking at you, pokemon. Also it does that thing where the artstyle changes and the music adds vocals during tough encounters. Fucking love that shit. 9.5/10. it's like pokemon if it were actually good.
[Sunless sea]: This one is hard to evaluate. The writing and worldbuilding might actually be the straight up BEST I'VE EVER SEEN. However it does NOT mix with roguelike gameplay very well as you'll sometimes end up re-reading the same slow encounters 10 times. However the gameplay as a whole is a mastah fucken peece. 6/10, but if you turn on savepoints and lower difficulty, 8 or 9/10.
[Tangledeep]: This one is a only semi-randomized roguelike and it's more of an adventure game/dungeon crawler. But the real draw of this game (besides the amazing music) is HOARDING ALL THE LOOT. 10 Cooked chickens, a potion that gives you 50 buffs, legendary armor and weapons made of tree bark, Shark swords, Giant bombs, it all goes in the bag. Fucking love it. 8/10. it's a bit unbalanced though.
Some games are too good to not play in my opinion. That's why i'm here to let you know of the better ones just a little bit sooner, at least I hope so.
Make sure to enjoy. More in depth reviews later.

Hii! Can i ask you how do you manage to have a large audience? For example i can't afford to pay for tablets and make digital art, so i rely on traditional art, but i dont know how to make my art engaging to sell it. Also do you print it and sell it online?
Hi! Honestly my art doesn’t sell all that much despite the amount of notes my art gets sometimes so I wouldn’t equate a large audience with being successful financially. What I will say to build engagement with your work is to create pieces that center around your interests and your passions. Fanart comes to mind but it could be anything so long as its authentic to you. Reach out and find like minded artists who share the same interests and build a network with them, so that you can all support eachother through reblogging which will grow your audience exponentially.
Make sure to properly tag your work also(only the first 5 tags actually contribute to the search function of whatever piece you’re tagging) so other artists and fans can find your work and you theirs.
In regards to not having the resources to draw digitally I wouldn’t worry too much about that, with the rise of AI art I’d say trad art will be more sought after and commodified so just keep buildin them skills~ When it comes to printing I’d love to invest in my own printer and manage all of that myself but for now I’m using INPRNT which has been good in terms of quality albeit a bit slow in terms of sales but thats due to my own laziness with promoting my work :’) Reading back at this I’m not sure if its been all that helpful but thank you for the question! Best of luck with your endeavours~
#anon#ask#maaaan hate how clinical that sounded oof#who uses exponentially really? truly?#anyway yeah#there's a alot of different factors that contribute to building an audience#timing and luck comes into play#plus gettin on the tumblr radar can help a lot lol#//stares at the lianne la havas painting

Bright future for Taurus
Venus infuses beauty into your chart. You must shine. Literally. Swarovski stones and all sorts of glitter on clothes, bags and hats. All sorts of cool rings. Through all this, the most important energy seeps into your life.
When you spend money on beautiful things, you stimulate the work of Venus, and she, in turn, attracts new resources. Cash can circulate easily and quickly in your pockets. To get good luck in love and work, you need to pump up Venus. Dress up (specifically). Go to master classes in drawing or clay modeling, for example... Draw. Venus will really like slow, unhurried and pleasant actions aimed at achieving an excellent result.
Secondly, she loves to enjoy the tastes. Go to a nice restaurant or cook dinner with your favorite dishes. Try to feel the full depth of taste of food. Another Venusian principle is relaxation and unhurriedness. Think about how you can revise your schedule to leave more time for ordinary idleness.
Choose clothes, think over your own image. Make your workplace beautiful By nature, you can manifest yourself as a practitioner. You have every opportunity to avoid poverty even in the most difficult times. Learn to appreciate and enjoy everyday comfort, coziness and luxury - strive for exquisite furniture, expensive accessories, beautiful interiors. Only in such conditions will you feel calm and stable. You have simple financial prudence, don't let it turn into greed. You have many opportunities and ways to get money, and just as many temptations to waste it.
And of course you need to be able to communicate with the highest strata of society, because you understand their motives. Success awaits you in public affairs. Improve your surroundings. Make influential friends. Try to benefit from everywhere: useful contacts, patrons, commercial transactions... Studying art, marketing, financial investments, dancing, clothing and jewelry design is useful. Innate sales skills can be the key to developing the sphere of love. Namely, to bring acquaintances and meetings with potentially wonderful partners, and then it’s up to you: whether you accept the gift of fate or not...
Never allow anyone to impose someone else’s way of behavior and thinking on you; it will never correspond to your own views. Do everything your own way and to the fullest. You have every right to do this. At the moment of your birth, a “warm place” was prepared for you. But you, like all of us, will have to go through the school of life and learn self-control before the fanfare sounds in your honor. You will certainly be accompanied by material and social success, and possibly a very high position.
Start with self-discipline. You may really miss her sometimes. You shouldn't be lazy and lower your goals. It can suck you in and make your goals impossible. Of course, this can be said to every person. But you have a real weak point, because of which everything will go down the drain. This means that, in principle, it’s generally impossible for you to do anything, despite the fact that you are always able to. Always be sure that the world will appreciate you what you deserve. This will allow you to save your personal energy and not waste it. If you truly love what you do, you will become an expert at your craft. And an excellent professional.
You must have many well-deserved awards. And you will always have something to be proud of.

The existential crisis is a big thing with artists, especially those of us with "ooh shiny" syndrome. We want to try all the things, do all the things, be all the things. And that's okay! But it's not exactly a strong business model.
The thing is we don't have to PICK one to enjoy in our lives, but I think it's important to find focus in our career. We don't have to monetize on everything we draw/illustrate/paint/photograph. Sometimes we do creative things because it's who we are and it makes us happy. Also okay!
My latest blog post is a letter to my future self. I wasn't going to publish it at first, but I know there are people out there who are currently stuck in a rut, who have just had an unsuccessful event or exhibition, who are wondering what their career focus should be, what their entire purpose is in this life. I hope that this letter helps you through your latest existential crisis, and once you've gotten past that belly of the whale, I encourage you to write a letter of your own.

The funny thing about autism is that no matter how well you THINK you know the symptoms, you sometimes don't think one applies to you in a meaningful way until the realization of "THATS WHAT THAT MEANT" hits you like a train.
So one autistic behavior/symptom/trait/thing is that we like to organize. A young autistic will line up their toys by size, their gummies by color, ect., ect. And that's fine. Now, I only organize gummies sometimes and I don't seek the task, but no autistic will have ALL they symptoms, so that's perfectly fine. It doesn't make me doubt my validity, especially considering my older brother was diagnosed, and I have plenty of other symptoms.
But then it hits me. I'm bored at work, so I'm making a list:
Potatoes: Packaged
Cucucmbers: No Barcode
Bannanas: Barcode
Strawberries: Packaged
Melon: Packaged
Zucchini: Barcode
Yellow Squash: No Barcode
And I was watching a tiktok on break about a woman's ideal job and she goes "If I'm being honest with myself, it's data entry. My autism loves sorting things into their own lines and it's just satisfying." And then I'm FORCED to realize that that's what I was doing for the first 3 hours of my shift in between customers.
But that's not even the worst part! I now have to remember things I've done and the way I've played, and check in my memories for more instances of this.
I used to play a roblox game, Royale High. Back in 2019 I'd finally managed to get every item in the game (excluding halos and IRL purchases) and do you know how I did it? I MADE A FUCKING CHART. I wrote down every item, if it was for sale, the price/trading price, wether or not I had it. If I couldn't trade or buy it I marked it as "luck". I specifically remember getting to every pair of wings, because the next day they overhauled the wings and increased my goal by an amount I don't remember, 100,700? Somewhere around there. Do you know how I KNEW what the difference was at the time? I MADE A CHART TO DO THE MATH. Bullshit.
Then there's minecraft. Every time, without fail, I abandon a survival world. When do I do that, you ask? When my chest system is set up, of course. When else? I've organized all my stuff. Nothing else to do.
In math? I loved the teacher that had us chart to get the answer in geometry. It was a weird "prove it" thing but I enjoyed it. Honorable mention: My favorite formula, the Quadratic Fucking Formula.
Even when I draw! I make a whole graph to show how many color combinations I could get with a set. Then I never look at it again.
I would make ciphers for fun. Line up the alphabet, make up some squiggles, even alternate squiggles. Once I wrote a short story that went to a brand-new code every SENTENCE.
HELL. Even now, I decided to make a FUCKING LIST of dissorders/symptoms that line up with a close friend (who is definitely NOT just anxious and overweight, too many symptoms for that) and I LOVED every GODDAMN second of looking up the definition, the symptoms, some general experiences of people who had them. I haven't even finished the notebook, it took me two hours to do just one but I loom forward to the next one. I LOOK FORWARD TO IT.
I also thought reorganizing your bookshelf was just a thing bookworms do. It is, but... it goes on the pile.
It's just. I thought I KNEW myself. I thought I knew which symptoms I knew about I had and which I didn't. How dare I.

Disclaimer: These are all good resources for people who can speak English; unfortunately, I don’t know of any alternatives for other language speakers.
Another couple resources for learning vocabulary and practicing reading: For flashcards / vocab drilling, I know a lot of people use these: Anki - It’s not just for Japanese, but there are premade decks you can use for your studying purposes, for example if you’re studying for the JLPT. I never got into it, but it seems to be free.
Wanikani - This is specifically for learning kanji. It’s free for the first couple levels, but after that you have to pay a subscription. That being said, Wanikani does do an annual lifetime sale around New Years--it’s a chunk of money, but you never have to pay them again. If you’re absolutely sure you want to use it to study kanji, go for it. Again, this isn’t the one I use.
Houhou - This is the one I use! I use it because it’s free and because I have control over what vocabulary I learn. I typically pull things from materials I actually read and input them into my vocabulary stack. Unfortunately, because I haven’t touched my reviews in a while (i am busy and tired and maybe a little lazy) they’ve piled up to the 300s. However, you can alter what level you think a word is at to either give yourself a break or to review something you got out of sheer dumb luck.
For reading:
The Japanese Foundation’s Libby Digital Media Service - You can sign up to read Japanese material and language learning materials for free. That being said, I did try to sign up and never got a response; it may be because I currently don’t live in the USA/Canada and so my IP address pinged as outside of their service, so keep that in mind.
If you have a VPN, you can access serialized manga online--usually for a fee. They might have the first couple chapters up for free, but after that it’s a pay-to-read service. Sometimes they do special events and have chapters unlocked for a limited amount of time (I may have stayed up several hours to read, at that time, the latest Witch Hat chapters lol), so keep an eye out for those either on those sites or social media!
Other:
I recommend also CHECKING YOUR JAPANESE CONSULATE / EMBASSY WEBSITES. This is for everywhere with a consulate / embassy. Their job is to promote their language and culture in your country; they may have more resources available!
(there’s another similar resource that I’ve unfortunately forgotten and don’t currently have a link for D:)
I totally recommend Takoboto; I make lists for whatever I’m reading, and it’s free to use though you can subscribe to get access to things like review games.
ALSO: while you can look up kanji by searching for radicals, the cheat that I use is downloading the google keyboard (android phone here) and having one of my many keyboards being a drawing keyboard set to Japanese. It’s very generous, so your penmanship can be a mess and it’ll still usually figure out what you’re trying to write. It also has the positive side effect of minor muscle training, especially if you keep forgetting the same word over and over lol.
My last advice would be this: it takes time and effort and isn’t necessarily fun, but if you’re reading something in Japanese--write it down! I was reading one of the short stories out of the Ancient Magus Bride anthology (The Golden Yarn, which is apparently available in English!), and I wrote down every single sentence in an attempt at study / translation. I now know another kanji for leg by heart--not the general and common 足, but the more specific 脚.
it's poor form to air your petty grievances with someone when it comes out they did something actually bad. save that for companies, like when you learn duolingo removed kanji from its beginner's japanese courses as part of their collab with crunchy roll

The Essence of the Dear Lottery
The Dear Lottery, often held in various states across India, has gained immense popularity not just for its substantial cash prizes but also for the emotions it stirs. Unlike conventional lotteries solely driven by monetary gains, the Dear Lottery is deeply rooted in the concept of hope, goodwill, and community support.
How Does the Dear Lottery Work?
The mechanics of the Dear Lottery are simple. Participants purchase lottery tickets, each assigned a unique number. These tickets are then entered into a draw, where winning numbers are randomly chosen. Prizes can range from smaller cash amounts to life-altering jackpots.
What sets the dearlottery apart is the concept of "Dearness Allowance." A portion of ticket sales contributes to a fund, which is later distributed among the winners. This distinctive feature ensures that the Dear Lottery isn't just about winning big; it's also about contributing to social welfare. The concept resonates with the idea of community and the spirit of mutual support.
The Dear Lottery's Popularity
Affordable Participation: The Dear Lottery is accessible to people from all walks of life. With reasonably priced tickets, it's an affordable form of entertainment and a beacon of hope for millions.
Diverse Prize Categories: The Dear Lottery offers a wide range of prizes, from smaller cash rewards to substantial jackpots. This diversity ensures that there are more winners and more chances to fulfill dreams.
Emotional Connection: The "Dearness Allowance" concept adds an emotional layer to the Dear Lottery. Participants know that their ticket purchases are contributing to the welfare of others in their community, fostering a sense of unity and engagement.
A Sense of Hope: The Dear Lottery provides hope for those facing financial challenges. It offers the possibility of a brighter future and a chance to overcome financial hardships.
Transparency: The Dear Lottery is typically well-regulated and follows a transparent process for drawing winners. This transparency builds trust among the participants.
The Dear Lottery is not just a game of luck; it's a symbol of hope, community, and the power of dreams. Its popularity reflects the fact that people are drawn not only to the allure of winning but also to the sense of togetherness and goodwill it promotes. The Dear Lottery has become a part of the lives of many, providing a glimmer of hope and the possibility of a brighter tomorrow. It's more than just a lottery; it's a beacon of hope and a testament to the idea that, sometimes, dreams do come true.

I have such a love/hate relationship with shien. Like, I do NOT agree with the shein fast-fashion hauls that 'influencers' do, I do NOT agree with shien stealing indie designers' ideas, I don't agree with fast-fashion in GENERAL...
....but at the same time. I am a plus-sized enby stuck in an approximation of a female body with big boobs, a chubby belly, and super-wide hips. People do not realize how insanely difficult it is to find clothing that fits AND looks good. Most "plus-sized" clothing is designed for people who are not bigger than a US size 10, and if they're bigger, they're TENTS instead of actually being made to COMPLIMENT a bigger, plushie body.
I LOVE Torrid, don't get me wrong. They make beautiful clothing for plus-sized feminine bodies. BUT I CANNOT AFFORD TORRID EXCEPT WHEN SOMEONE GIVES ME GIFTCARDS OR I CATCH ONE OF THEIR INSANELY DEEP CLEARANCE SALES. And then it is only luck of the draw as to whether or not they have the items I want in stock in my size.
Shien, on the other hand? Has an entire section of their site called "Curve" that is designed to fit plus-sized bodies in a pretty way that compliments my body and makes me actually feel good in the feminine clothes I wear sometimes, just like Torrid, but at a fraction of the price. I have bought stuff from them before, and everything I've gotten has actually been decent quality, and they have fit. They have bras that I dont want to immediately burn that fit me and that is A FEAT for something not a sports bra or a binder.
So I am torn. I want them to have to face consequences for their illegal and questionable actions, but at the same time, I do NOT want their clothing to go entirely away. Please, capitalism, you have finally given me a clothing website I can afford that gives me clothes that fit. Do not take it away from me and all the other plus-sized bodies out there that aren't rich. -_-

The Unforeseen Blessings of Dr. Dre: A Journey from Compton’s Streets to Platinum Beats
Dr. Dre's illustrious career and eventual status as Hip-Hop's first billionaire is a tale of resilience, timing, and the unexpected turns of fate, much like the essence captured in his own words: "Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck." Born Andre Young in Compton, California, Dre's early life was steeped in the harsh realities of street life, surrounded by the burgeoning scenes of rap and gangsta culture. Despite the challenges, his passion for music was undeniable, crafting beats that would eventually revolutionize hip-hop. Dre's rise to prominence was anything but linear; his journey through groups like N.W.A., to his solo ventures, and the founding of Death Row Records, was marked by both groundbreaking success and profound challenges.
Dre's narrative took a pivotal turn with the creation of Beats By Dre, a venture that transcended his already substantial impact on music production and culture. The sale of Beats to Apple Inc. for $3 billion not only crowned him Hip-Hop's first billionaire but also symbolized the culmination of years of evolution, both personally and professionally. This milestone, however, wasn't just a testament to Dre's business acumen but a reflection of life's unpredictable nature and how what one desires at a moment may not always align with what's best in the grand scheme.
Drawing parallels with Dr. Dre's experience, the journey of an artist or entrepreneur is seldom straightforward. The initial vision of success, often shaped by societal standards and youthful aspirations, may not always lead to fulfillment or happiness. Like Dre, it's through navigating the intricate tapestry of life's highs and lows that one finds true purpose and appreciation for the journey itself. His story is a powerful reminder that the detours and setbacks we encounter are not merely obstacles but crucial chapters in our personal and professional growth. As we navigate our paths, Dre's journey underscores the value of resilience, the beauty of maturing with grace, and the profound impact of being ready to embrace the blessings we've long sought after, at the right moment, for the right reasons. In embracing this wisdom, we too can hope to leave an indelible mark on the world, just as Dr. Dre has done with his unparalleled legacy in music and beyond. #AMDFree
