while I don’t agree with that referring to men in their 30s-early 40s as “old man yaoi”, I UNDERSTAND why many people who primarily consume honest-to-goodness BL manga are quicker to call it that, because there is just such poor representation for men that aren’t hairless dehydrated 20-something twunks. They’re wrong, but I get why it happens.
I also understand that “middle-aged yaoi” isn’t as fun to say as “old man yaoi”, even when it’s more technically accurate.
So I would like to propose new vocabulary: Grown Ass Yaoi. yaoi that’s grown ass men. they’re not old but they’re not young adults either. you get me? Grown Ass Yaoi

“I am okay with any ship, as long as its legal”
I have a few problems with this phrase.
First of all, obviously, is that there is no law for shipping. Which makes it impossible to call a ship legal or illegal. Fictional crimes are not crimes, whether you like it or not. There is no law that would protect fictional characters from abuse, physical or sexual.
Second of all, law is different everywhere. Somewhere gay relationships are illegal. Somewhere cousin marriage is legal. What country’s law are you talking about when you’re calling a ship illegal? USA? Still different law in every state. And, i mean, doesn’t it sound weird to say “i only like ships that would be legal according to Michigan law”?
And i also want to ask some questions. Does this phrase imply that, for example, a ship between a 17-year-old and a 18-year-old is problematic? Because technically, this kind of relationship irl is illegal in some places.
Does this phrase imply that large age gaps ships are okay? Because a relationship between a 19 and a 59 year old would technically be legal irl. Yet a lot of anti have problems with age gap ships.
A lot of the time when these issues and questions are asked, proshippers are being called ‘disingenuous’, because ‘you obviously knew what they meant’! And like, yeah, i kind of do know what you mean from context- context being, that anti use the word legal as replacement for ‘morally acceptable to me’.
And i do not think that the word legal should be a replacement for ‘morally acceptable’. Because legality doesnt equal morality! And because in the world that we live in, words still mean things. And mixing the meaning of the words ‘legal’ and ‘morally acceptable’ could be very dangerous. I am sure you know why.

Antis act like the fans don't have any criticism for the show, like hello we are here. I have lot criticism for both show inlcuding vivziepop herself but i'm not as hostile as them that's act like everything vivziepop created is trash or irreddemmable.
this is a few example of my criticism for hazbin hotel
Less telling more showing
Moral centric protagonist
More character development for the main character
For vivziepop
Don't respond to every single thing
Less online present
Helluva boss
More episode center Millie
SA, fat and incest joke is unnecesarry
Their portrayal of racism is hit and miss
If antis stop saying hazbin hotel and helluva boss to be the worst show then probably we would take them seriously. Also this two show does have flaw just like other show. Anyway do you agree or disagree?
Honestly even if people aren't super hateful sometimes I do kinda disagree with some of the criticisms, but as long as they aren't being hateful about it I can tolerate that, everyone has different views and opinions so ya know. Like some people criticize the whole stolitz stuff without being hateful and there are some arguments about that that I don't agree with, but the audiences for that kind of stuff are very different so I understand to an extent why some people don't like it *shrug*
I agree with most of what you say! Unsure what the criticism of "moral centric protagonist" means though, and I am personally fine with the more edgy jokes in helluva lol, as long as they're actually funny, calling them "unnecessary" is odd to me, what is a "necessary" joke?. The show is edgy and talks and jokes about edgy shit. My biggest problem with those jokes would probably be that the tonal dissonance can be jarring when it tries to tackle those subjects in a more serious way, but that's a problem with the hellaverse in general too.

What the fuck. I don’t care how much you like or dislike a movie, never fucking send death threats to animators who worked on it. Jfc.

Okay so you know that Kinda Fucked Up Person™ feeling when like. Someone is nice to you at the exact right resonant frequency to make all the hairs on the back of your neck stand up
And it’s not even that they’re creepy or inappropriate but being around them gives you… like. That “someone is walking on your grave” type feeling?
What IS that, and is there a word for it? Because “pathological heebie-jeebies” isn’t getting me anywhere

“write whatever you want, unless it’s…”, “draw whatever you want, unless it’s…” no, actually, when I say write/draw whatever you want, I mean write whatever you want, draw whatever you want. no buts. no “unless it’s…” censorship has no place in art.
art can be about taboo subjects. art can deal with something socially unacceptable. art can disturb and disgust. art doesn’t have to be for everybody.
tag your warnings so that people who might be triggered by your art don’t accidentally get exposed to it and you’re all good.
and if people try to shame you for the art you create because it’s “problematic” then you can tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. they read the warnings. they choose to read and engage with your art on their own free will. that’s not your problem.
dark fics and macabre art do not—have never, and never will—reflect artists’ in-real-life moralities.
harassing artists, real people, over fictional things will never make you “morally superior”. it only makes you a bully.
again, censorship has no place in art.
