Hello everyone! The sign-ups for the Holiday 2024 Phandom Gift Exchange are now open!
This event is a gift exchange where people create a phanwork for who they are assigned; you don’t know who will be creating your gift, but you can be assured that their talents will match up to your requests!
How to Sign Up
The grand majority of people participating will be gifting a phandom work to another, therefore, you all will be gifters. The person you will be gifting for will (probably) not also be the person gifting for you. On the form, you’ll choose what kind of gifts you’d like and genres/tropes/themes/etc. you enjoy. You’re also encouraged to provide some more specific prompts. Sign-ups to be a gifter will close Friday, November 29th at 11:59 PM.
The gifter sign-up form is here!
If creating something might not be your thing, but you’d still like to participate in some capacity, you might be interested in being a beta! Betas assist gifters (especially fic writers) with their gifts. If you’re interested, send an ask or contact @husbants! We’ll put you on our email list and invite you to the Discord server so that you can chat and find beta work there.
Timeline
Saturday, November 16th: Sign-ups go out
Friday, November 29th: Sign-ups close
Sunday, December 1st - Monday, December 2nd: Pairings go out
December 16th: Check-in goes out
Friday, December 20th: Check-in closes
Saturday, December 28th: Posting day!
More Details
The gifting assignments will not be random. The admins (@husbants and @ttlmt) will be matching up each gifter with a partner based on the gifter’s self-identified skills and the partner’s likes and prompts.
There will be separate under-18 and 18-and-older groups (if we have anyone under 18, that is; it hasn’t happened the past several rounds). A gifter will only be considered to gift for people within their age group.
In the past few rounds, we had a Twitter-user group. There will be no Twitter group this round. You are free to cross-upload your gift to whatever platform you like, but you will need a Tumblr account to participate.
We will be communicating through Tumblr DMs and email. There will also be a Discord (the link will be sent through email when assignments go out) and we’ll post updates and announcements there, too. Make sure your DMs are open so that we can contact you, you’re checking this blog, and you’re checking your email during the event!
When the gifters post their gifts on December 28th, they should tag both this account and their partner on the post. This blog will reblog everyone's gift posts. Our Twitter will retweet anyone who cross-posts there. There will be an email sent out with more information about posting closer to December 28th.
We’re really hoping this doesn’t happen, but if you are assigned to someone you have blocked or have any sort of issue with, contact one of the admins and we can switch around our own assignments or talk to someone signed up as a pinch-hitter and deal with it. If you know you definitely couldn’t gift for someone, you can also specify this on your sign-up form.
In Conclusion
We hope this event will spread some joy throughout the phandom! Thank you so much for your interest and it would be great if you could reblog and spread the word. If you have any questions, feel free to DM @husbants or send an ask!

okay I've been thinking about this poll all day and. I have some thoughts lmao
Obviously we all know a tumblr poll is not exactly a reliable way to do a demographic survey and of course you're disproportionately going to get responses from active rebloggers because... the people who don't reblog aren't going to reblog your poll, are they? BUT I do think there's something to be said for the evidence that people currently active on tumblr are disproportionately people who have been on tumblr a long time, and trying to lay the issue of declining engagement at the feet of "new users" not understanding site etiquette is... well, flattening a more complex issue (gasps of shock and horror). So I've been thinking about other things that could explain the supposed issue people are identifying:
new users who don't know site etiquette: okay yes, I'll admit that it IS A Thing. I have seen the very very small sampling of people who recently joined and didn't think reblogging was "for" them for whatever reason--they think it's rude to reblog from someone you don't know, or they feel obligated to add something insightful to every reblog, or whatever else. But I also don't think people realistically operate under these misunderstandings for very long. All you have to do is use the site for a while and follow a few different people to realize no one else is abiding by those kinds of rules, and people who want to be active and engage with other blogs will start doing it pretty fast.
a lot of early users left: there have been a few waves of people leaving tumblr for various reasons, especially the porn ban and various other Bad Decisions made since then, and also some people just migrated to other social media sites that suited their needs better or aged out of their interest in fandom/blogging/etc. Some of the people who used to most actively use tumblr the way you think is "correct" may just not be around anymore.
shifting demographics: I know tumblr used to be almost exclusively associated with fandom, but you have to accept that there are a lot of people doing a lot of different things here now. Some people are treating it like a diary, or a dev log, or just a place to be really obsessed with something singular and niche. They may enjoy your work, but if it's not what their blog is for, they're not going to put it on their blog.
larger numbers don't translate 1:1 into more interaction: I can tell you this one from extensive personal experience. After a certain threshold, your follower count, the size of a fandom, the overall userbase of the site, none of it actually means a proportional number of new people engaging with your work. You will have a stable base of established fans/followers who have stuck around long enough to be invested, and an occasional new person who discovers your work and is enthusiastic, but for every one of those there will be five, ten, twenty tourists and casual enjoyers who might like to see what you make but don't resonate with it enough to directly respond to it. (Double that ratio again if you're asking for money.) Expecting all or most of them to make the switch to active fans will drive you nuts.
you're confusing interaction you want with interaction you "should" be getting: look. Nobody wants to hear this one. But is your engagement actually bad or are you just not reaching your desired audience? This could mean any number of things, if you're trying to build a presence or start a career, are you posting at peak hours? Are you posting in a way that's accessible to people? Are you using relevant tags, doing enough self promotion? It's grueling. People want to be so proud of how tumblr has no algorithm and no influencers so you have to accept that you're playing on hard mode. Alternatively, if what you want is a cozy, close-knit fan community, are you cultivating that? Are you engaging with other people's work with the energy you expect from them? Are you starting conversations and respecting boundaries? These communities don't just spring into being organically, they have to be fostered and maintained.

Directory of downloads
Since Tumblr is now where I share my stuff when I do share, I suppose there will come a time when scrolling through would get tedious for you, the reader, and Origami suggested I make a directory post to make it easier for people to find what they may want. Great idea, so here we are :)
If you have problems the fastest way to reach me is through discord, my username is gummilutt. You can also find me in the discord server Sims Crafters (click for invite). DM here on tumblr on MTS will also work, but I make no promises about fast replies.
Policy is open, do what you like. A tag is always appreciated, because it is fun to see what people make with your work :)
I do not take requests, sorry :) I am however always happy to give advice on how to make something yourself, in the modding channel on SimsCrafters (invite above). If you aren't interested in learning to make what you want yourself, my advice is to use publicly available forums to post your ideas (Hacks & CC thread on MTS, ideas channel on Crafters etc), and if you are lucky a modder will see it, like it and make it.

Money is kind of tight for me right now so I decided to do something I've literally never done before: I'm taking commissions for my writing! Which is kind of terrifying and very intimidating for me! Please go easy on me! I've included a list of my rules and basic prices below as well as linked my Ko-fi account for easy access to my commission prices. The Ko-fi link will also be accessible under the Commissions tab on my page.
Request a Fanfic of your choice based on word count, ship/character(s), prompt of choice, etc.! Fee is based on preferred word count of the fic you're looking for. Self-inserts and OC/Canon characters are able to be requested as well. NSFW fics will cost $25.00 more as it is outside of my usual writing zone.
List of prices: Short Length 100-500 words - 15USD Medium Length 501-1000 words- 30USD Long Length 1001-1500 words- 45USD Long Shot 6000+ words - 100USD
You will receive a copy of the fanfic via .docx or .pdf (whichever is your preferred choice) as well as the fic being posted to my AO3 and Tumblr account with you tagged as the gifted user for it. Be sure to include your tumblr, x, and/or Ao3 username if you have one for the gift to come through on your account(s)!
Delivery turn-around will depend on length of fic. I.E. Short Fics will not take as long as Long Fics which in turn will not take as long as Long Shots.
Payment is required no later than upon completion of the fic and will not be posted or sent to you without payment.
Fandoms I know and can write for easily: Ace Attorney Stardew Valley My Time at Portia/My Time at Sandrock My Hero Acadamia/Boku No Hero Acadamia Overwatch/Overwatch 2 CoD Modern Warfare 2 FNAF: Security Breach Homestuck (Knowledge is rusty though and I will have to do some research) Coral Island Baldur's Gate 3 Harry Potter/Hogwarts Legacy Legend of Zelda Pokemon Persona 3/4/5 Fire Emblem: Awakening, Fate, Three Houses & Engage Dragon Age Mass Effect Stranger Things Tiger and Bunny Hetalia Black Butler
You're welcome to request anything outside of these fandoms but it may be turned down based on complexity of lore/characters when researching.
**NOTE: I will not write anything including R@pe/N0n-c0nsent, !nc3st, b3ast!ality, or p3d0ph!l!a. Characters must either both be adults or both be of the age of consent.
No refunds will be offered for completed fics. Feel free to message me on any questions you have before commissioning.
(Have I mentioned I find all this terrifying and intimidating? Bc I do...)

Exposing myself here a little and sharing the current rule-set for my CP2077 Discord I'm the process of setting up below the cut! Below the cut, cause this post it's a lot of text as is.
I think I got all channels set up how I want them for starters, but there will always be room for improvement :D First and foremost I want this to become a place of encouragement and sharing and fun... I really just want it to be an extension of my fandom corner on tumblr here and have a room to chat with everyone I love in one spacereally, that's the whole point XD
Still though, I think some basic rules are good, especially if I decide to open this up to more people down the line - but also, some might find a strict ruleset (or my specific ruleset) not to their taste, hence, before sending out invites, I wanted to put this here.
If we're mutuals, or if you're following me and like what I post, original content and reblogs alike, AND if you wanna be part of this server under the prerequisite of accepting the rules below the cut... Like this post or DM me or leave a reply etc. And I might send you an invite.
(I want to open this up specifically also to people I'm not mutuals with, since I don't always follow back for a variety of reasons. But I have a good memory for user-handles and will recognize you if you interact with my posts on a regular basis!) Important: If I don't send you an invite, please don't take it personally. I might not know you or your vibe well enough yet. Especially if we're new mutuals, or if I'm not following you. But I will check out everyone I don't recognize or don't follow who reacts to this post. I want to keep the server somewhat small in general and especially to begin with, but if all goes well, I might come back to this post here somewhere later down the line and send some more invites! I love you all lots, and especially with my semi-forced hiatus recently I missed interacting with everyone. Being welcomed back so warmly repeatedly by so many people in your tags and replies and all really meant so much <3
So yeah! Server-rules below, react to this post or get in touch with me if you're interested to join based on these prerequesites, invites will go out during the weekend most likely! :D
1. Don't be a dick and use common sense. Be kind to each other. Assume ignorance over ill intentions first and foremost, and when in doubt, stay civil and ask a mod or admin for help via DM.
2. Homophobia, Transphobia, Queerphobia in general, Racism and Hatespeech towards other server members will not be tolerated. Report any talk of this sort to a mod or admin asap if you notice it.
3. This is an adult/NSFW server. You need to be at least 18 years of age to participate and can expect respective content. This is not to exclude anyone younger than 18, but for legal reasons.
4. No 18+ content needs to be spoilered ||like this|| by default. If you choose to spoiler something, which you are always free to do especially in general channels, use a label/indicator describing the content you're spoilering (e.g. [explicit sexual content], [nsfw], [blood/gore], [xyz kink], [tmi]). No kinkshaming please, but also, note rule 5.
5. If someone asks you to spoiler a specific type of niche/extreme content (e.g. extreme kinks, dark and disturbing topics, (mental) health themes like self-harm or terminal illnesses, or any content that could fall under 4) please do so. Be mindful of each other's comfort levels with being exposed to certain darker topics. Being asked to spoiler content does not equal being kinkshamed.
6. Everyone's boundaries are valid and you are free to set them. Simultaneously, nobody should have to censor themselves or their creations either. Spoilering (extreme) content on someone else's request does not equal censorship but is part of being a community.
7. If someone forgets to spoiler a topic that has been previously asked to be spoilered, do not assume the worst and kindly remind the op to spoiler. If the same person keeps forgetting the same things though and you feel like it is on purpose or targeted, let a mod/admin know.
8. If a topic that makes you personally uncomfortable is being discussed in a group setting, stepping away from the conversation temporarily is an alternative to asking to spoiler something (also applies to rule 6). Simultaneously though, due to no blacklisting options on Discord, be mindful of what you post especially if others whose comfort levels you don't know are there with you.
9. Please keep discussions on the server civil. If you've messed up, apologize. If discussions get personal or touch upon server-external issues, please resort to DMs to resolve them. If you need a neutral party to listen, @elvenbeard is always happy to.
10. Do not post content that isn't yours without the explicit permission of the original creator (be it mods, VP, art, writing, etc.). This includes posting links to external works that aren't yours.
11. Start no arguments or spread negativity by discussing non-server-members and their activities.
12. Keep shippy content to the respective channels. Respect each other's ships and headcanons (exceptions: see 13), but also respect the source material(s).
13. If you notice headcanons that are queer-phobic, transphobic, racist, hateful or something similar, especially if they are being framed or discussed as positive, inform a mod or admin asap. Everyone is entitled to their own headcanons, but any falling under these categories will not be tolerated.
#I will not put this in the main tag on purpose#please read carefully!!#personal stuff#will rebump this post a handful of times tomorrow and friday but yess#here goes nothing aaaaahhhh

This is going to be a tad personal but how do you manage to be trans and catholic? Some of the biggest anti trans voices like Matt Walsh, Michael Knowles and Desantis base their views off that religion. Many trans people on here, Reddit and IRL have nothing but disdain for Catholicism because of the Vatican’s statements and how they’ve been treated. Likewise, a lot of Catholics I’ve seen on tumblr, Reddit and various forums view it as a sin, mental illness or pedophilia and oppose affirming care as well as IVF.
I’m an American exvangelical, who does have some conservative Catholic family members, and I’m trying to broaden my perspective a bit rather than writing Catholicism off as an irredeemable, hateful colonizer ideology and viewing paganism and Reform Judaism as the only valid religions like most Tumblr users do. How do you put up with it when many refuse to affirm it, including the pope who’s still very conservative? I’m not asking to attack your beliefs but are simply curious whether there’s more nuance than people will claim.
This is something that's a bit hard to answer, as someone who's not that good a theologian nor that good at theory. Plus, I'm not side A, so I wouldn't be all that good at discussing Catholicism While Queer with you I suspect. Anyway I will be assuming you, the reader, have got some level of legitimate Christian faith. Because otherwise I'm not sure how to like. Give you that.
So let me preface all of this by recommending you look into queer Catholic organizations such as New Ways Ministry, or especially DignityUSA which I've heard good things about. There are also some Tumblr bloggers on the more affirming side of things, most of them aren't really doing all that much advocacy work either but you might find it interesting to scroll through, idk, and-her-saints or shoutsofmybones's blogs for example, and take a look.
Also: you don't have to give up on Christianity entirely if you can't / would rather not be Catholic! Even if the specific ritual and community aspect is especially important to you, the Episcopal Church is probably decently well implanted where you live and is worth looking into, especially since it doesn't have the embedded political elements that the US Catholic Church tends to have.
As for my own personal answer below - please don't bother to get mad at me for this, it's like 4AM and I'm not too interested in writing a thesis here.
Gender-wise it's honestly pretty straightforward. I know I function better being generally recognized as another sex than I was assigned at birth, with characteristics to match; everything else in terms of gender roles names etc is really just getting a lil silly with it ngl. This is neither especially uncommon nor especially new, and the generally recognized way to deal with this has long been to just let people do their thing. While there are issues with the way that's being done (hey! you should freeze your gametes if that's available to you! don't count on never wanting kids, especially if you're a teenager! trust me on this one.), a lot of the modern discourse around it boils down to "this is disgusting to me so it must be morally wrong". And like, I'm a biologist, I can't really find it in myself to be grossed out by this stuff anymore.
Anyway the Church is far from a monolith. Even at the institutional level there's plenty of tolerance; my home diocese is based in a large and ancient Mediterranean city so God knows it's had ages to get used to the weird shit, not counting the handful of trad strongholds. My understanding of the situation in the US is that it's Kind Of Really Not That though, so I'd strongly recommend heavily looking into your local Catholic diocese and parishes before making any moves, because Catholic faith and practice are a very community-bound thing and it's not really something you can do at a distance. Thankfully though, once you start avoiding the political activists trying to use faith as a means to an end (as is the case for most of the people you cite in your ask), you'll find that it's relatively more chill than you'd think. Let me elaborate.
My own case is complicated enough that I can't reasonably apply any of the details to this, but ultimately what's important to note here is that Christianity is functionally about how everyone is flawed, and everyone fucks up, and sure you'll be forgiven but you've got to own up to it first. The members of the Church, even the Pope, even (most of) the Saints in their earthly lives, are no exception. They can be misguided, fearful, or just plain hateful; in such circumstances, it's on them to do better, not on you to adapt to their flaws, and they know this if they're honest to themselves. This, in turn, must apply just as much to you and me; as a Christian, you (generic) have everything you need to do better, and to know anything that prevents you from loving other people is probably not the way to go.
But anyway yeah. I'm trans and Catholic because both of those are just kinda who I am, and I don't intend to stop being either because I'm not interested in replacing myself with the cop in my head. So the Church can have fun with that.
#anonymous#queer catholic#i need a tag for my text posts#yeah the structure of this post is a mess. don't care. i'm going to bed

this was originally a response to a post asking why there was so much pushback against separatists when the bulk of female abuse is done by men, specifically in intimate relationships.
accepting "niche" experiences women have had that would make them hesitant or skeptical about ideas like separatism is critical to improving the flow of engagement with separatist ideas. most normie women do not have specific trauma involving ousting/ostracization from feminist communities, but many of feminist women do. specific users have written about being mistreated and vilified by various feminist communities, and i have known of several women who were also harmed greatly by their feminist communities; through vicious in-person harrassment, cyber bullying, or being abandoned when they got outed to their larger local mutual aid/action community as "terf" and none of the other radfems had the courage to publicly defend them. these experiences are real and often catalysts for life-long distrust of feminist groups. "trashing: the dark side of sisterhood" by jo freeman [×] is a great short read about a second wave feminist's personal experience with a feminist community's widespread hostility towards her. this piece isn't specifically about separatist groups, but its helpful to illustrate that misconduct is present in all types of feminist groups, there's historical record of it, so there's no point denying it.
something i think many separatists fail to fully appreciate is that a lot of (radically) feminist inclined women may actually feel the hurt of a rejection/mistreatment from a women's community much more severely than the usual mistreatment from a mixed-sex community because they expected the women's community to be a safe space for them. whereas they have no such expectation from a mixed-sex community. we always discuss the unique power female comraderie and community have, but then it must also be acknowledged the unique harm it can cause when something goes wrong. i have seen women completely lose faith in the idea of finding real feminist community, they were so burned by the level of immaturity and bad faith they encountered. there's a certain ability many feminist-inclined women have to show resilience against male and non-feminist female transgressions that is missing when it comes to responding to the transgressions from feminist communities. the hurt is magnified by the base values we all ideally share. if holding someone to their purported values, being called a sexually charged insult by a man is less hurtful and hypocritical than by a woman who is supposed to be above such behaviors, for example.
experiencing such maliciousness firsthand, through a friend/mutual, or simply reading through the writings feminists from older generations have left for prosterity often doesn't inspire a lot of faith in similar contemporary communities. i don't mean that in the "women are all catty and will betray each other, they can't be real friends" way. i mean it in the "women (including those with feminist values) are human, and so we are susceptible to perpetuating the same community dysfunctions that everyone else does (i.e. gossip, name-calling, losing touch w reality, sophistry, tunnel vision, rape apologia, etc)." these are all behaviors i and others have observed from separatists. most women don't find such things inherently more tolerable just because it's an exclusively female group doing it rather than a mixed-sex group. the internet is an artifice to a certain extent, but i think it's fair to say that the level of anonymity a platform like tumblr provides enables masks to slip. many users interpret the nastiness that comes from a lot of users in the separatist niche as the mask slipping - "so this is how they really feel" - like thinking it's ok to use sexually- charged insults, thinking it's ok to degrade/mock women who participate in new age religious practices, thinking it's ok to accuse lesbians who deviate from certain scripts of secretly being bisexual, thinking it's ok to dogpile politically inconvenient rape victims, the list goes on. i don't think it's fair to paint an entire group using its worst behaviors, but it's human nature to do that. one bad apple and such. particularly when an entire community is comfortable allowing such bad actors to exist in the spaces, dictate topics of discussion, and influence popular opinions. im glad sespursongles was mentioned, bc her writings are immensely important to the strain of separatism that's popular on here, yet she was extremely vile towards bisexuals, harboring immense disdain for us, and put blame almost exclusively on bisexual women for the continued existence of patriarchy and the failure of modern radical feminism in her writings.
there are bad arguments against separatism and separatists, no doubt, but there's also a lot of valid concerns and hesitations about joining such communities that i dont think can in good faith just be waved away as incurable man-obsession. "king kong theory" by virginie despentes has been critical in my own understanding of why many women may never find the idea of female separatism compelling.* within this bubble, it actually doesn't matter that it's only an argument in a niche tumblr community; most everyone in radblr is engaging with the ideas here in good faith, engaging with separatism as a serious proposition, and that's why it is often opposed with a lot of passion.
*while despentes does not ever use the term "female separatism" in the book, she engages with the idea indirectly in this passage:
the importance of this passage to me isn't that i find my own opinions about rape represented in a way i hadn't before; to be honest, i still don't fully know how i feel about these sentiments other than that to hold them, one must very careful and deliberate, because i can see them easily veering into very harmful rape apologia territory. instead, it was revelatory to me because it presents a perspective about the looming threat of male violence (particularly from a lesbian woman whom it is hard to argue does not have a comprehensive understanding of feminism and also has 0 investment in men as romantic partners) that hadn't considered prior to reading this book. many women will simply never prioritize blanket self-preservation over the possibility of adventure and freedom of mobility that can only currently be experienced by living in and moving in a mixed sex society, and choosing to allow or tolerate men in their lives. we must accept how feminist women appraise certain aspects of their own lives.

Writing Communities: Toxicity, Requests, and A Cesspit of Minors
PLEASE READ IF YOU'RE A READER OR WRITER!
I've never made a Tumblr post before and I doubt anyone will see this, so I'm going to rant into the void. This came about after a fanfiction writer I dearly loved, Muzanswaifu, was in a nightmare of a community (not sure if I should tag her). I've noticed that, among fanfic writers, being a writer on this website can be hell, something that seems to be predominately created by a disconnect between the writers and their audience.
While I've never posted any piece of fanfiction myself to Tumblr, I have been a long-time user of this website and regularly follow writers. I've watched far too many writers quit or abandon their accounts because of the pressure they face to regularly post or to write for a certain audience/genre.
Statistically speaking, you'd think that most people would have the decency to realize that some people might not be comfortable writing certain things or that if you're not comfortable with it, leave it alone (or report it if it involves legal issues, bullying, harassment, etc). The Tumblr user base is primarily made up of people between the ages of 18-34, give or take. Of course, there will always be minors in just about any space, but knowing that the majority of Tumblr users are within the 18-34 age range makes things... sad. If you're actively sending death threats to someone because they wrong canon x OC smut, then... why do you have that much time?
Then there's bullying someone because you don't like what they're writing about. Most writing blogs tend to have rules, the basic dos and don'ts when it comes to a blog. Those rules are there for a reason. They aren't there as a suggestion of what the writer will/won't do, they're firm and set in stone unless the writer makes a post stating otherwise. Way too many people ignore rules when making a request or when they go to DM the writer. Please, read the rules before submitting anything to the writer. I've seem people answer some really weird requests on this website/app.
On a similar note to that: content warnings. Again, some people will zoom right past that and then get disgusted by what they read. Like all things on your average writing blog, the content warnings are there for a reason. If you go on reading the content after reading the warnings, then you're responsible for the outcome. You willingly signed up to read this content, you made the conscious choice to interact with it. If it makes you uncomfortable, then you have to deal with that. There's a lot of weird or gross things on this website, so it's best to ignore it or report it if it's dealing with illegal content.
That leads me to my next issue: minors. Even though porn is no longer a thing on Tumblr (sort of), there's still a lot of explicit material, especially in the fanfic community. It's hard to stop minors from reading it when the only way to stop them is the "read more" button in most situations. What minors don't seem to realize is that 18+ content isn't for them. I can't stop you from reading it, but you shouldn't be interacting with it more than the basic like and/or reblog. Sending harassment to a writer makes you look exactly like what you are: a child. You lack the maturity and knowledge to know what a real job is like or how stressful college/university is.
With life comes responsibilities. One of the things that Muzanswaifu points out on her farewell post(?) is how she got a lot of hate for running a Discord server and people thinking she wasn't active enough. Discord is confusing, really damn confusing, especially when you're trying to run an entire server with dozens and dozens of people while warding off minors. Her main job isn't to make sure the Discord is seamless and aesthetically pleasing or to answer every demand someone has, and this applies to any writer or artist with a Discord. That should be a place where people can share ideas, writings, art, or random thoughts. If you have beef, then take it out of the server into somewhere private. Sure, free entertainment is fun, but it isn't fun when you start dragging in other people to pick sides and get upset because they don't want to pick.
One of the big issues I also see fought over is whether a writer writes for xFem, xMale, or xGN content when it comes to reader content. I've seen a lot of complaints that [Writer] should write for [gender/sex] because it's what someone in their audience wants to see. Just because you want to see it doesn't mean that the writer has to cater to your specifications. Frankly, they might not be comfortable with it or know how to. I know as a Genderfluid AFAB person, I would probably suck at writing xMale content and, while I certainly can practice, I'd like to stick to what I know. There are other writers or communities where you can find the kind of content you want. Hell, here's a wild idea: you write it. If you can harass and bully someone else, then you sure as hell have the time to write the kind of content you want.
As for requests, it's a similar situation to what I mentioned above. Most writers have actual lives, like school, work, or simply hanging out with friends. They don't spend every waking moment writing something you asked for to deliver. This content is free. While it might be a priority if it's a commission, it sure as hell isn't if you're going to whine and yap about it when it's been a week since you asked for something. Some writers will take months until they post another chapter or a fic. Life gets hectic and it's not predictable! The health of the writers should take the forefront, so if writing is bringing them no joy or is burning them out, then it's time for them to go on hiatus. It's a normal and expected process.
This post is probably incoherent and sounds like the angry ramblings of a nobody who'll get no traction on their post. I wrote this in, like, an hour and I can't think right now. Any comments/advice to add would be appreciated if there is anything. All I ask is that there's a better community for writers on this app. Since I've never written anything other than this post, I only know the bare minimum of what these people go through. I might make a part two or something of this to rant, but for now, I have calc homework I need to do.
To any writers/artists out there who want someone to write to, my DMs should be open. I'm a very open listener. If Muzanswaifu or any writers in the KNY fandom see this, DM me for a Discord server I'm in. It's centered around Renkaza but we mostly do whatever on there. It's the least toxic Discord server imaginable and people there are super nice. Also, free beta readers and a fanfic book club.
If anyone sends me hate for this, I'm framing it (deadass). You can yell at me all you want for supporting [insert taboo topic] when I'm not. Just stop bullying people online and maybe focus more on yourself. If you're taking out your anger on a faceless person possibly hundreds of miles away over an attempt to call out toxicity, then you've got too much time to think.
Anyway, that was GGG, I'm out (HOW TF DO THESE TAGS WORK SOMEONE HELP ME).

i appreciate the time you put into this but if youre going to make a note that youre using older ushi you should be vetting character ages better, youve got mordred who says hes 16 during camelot and gareth whos his younger sister, the nobu whos in their early teens (changed to older teens in NA profiles but it still says early in JP and koha-ace), marie who says shes 14 in orleans...i hope this doesnt come off as weird im just concerned about the one note and dont know if you just dont know about the rest? or if i should just steer clear. and thought i should say something while round 1 is going on and its fixable...
I was going to make a post prior to the tournament but no one really reads my announcement posts especially once a poll round starts lol but this is a submission based poll from other tumblr users and my only rule was no children like Jack, prisma illya stuff, lily units, visual designs that are elementary, etc. I'm not denying there are other teenage submissions in this tourney, I'm very much aware.
Ushi has multiple different looking art for different looking ages (summer, avenger) and not every servant like Mordred has an official older looking self. If I can, I also wanted to have characters shown at their most well known design which is why I have 17 year old Rin, Shirou, etc for clarity sake for people not super familiar with the nasuverse so even they can be like "oh yeah that character I remember seeing them before". Mash and Guda are considered forever minors no matter how much time passes lol. Marie in fgo makes quite of few statements about her kids as a loving mom. Lasagna deciding to give her a 14 year old body was literally out of our control but I'm going to simply disregard Lasagna age canon and view her as the adult she died as and not be weird about it, please understand. For Ushi, it wasn't my intention to be weird about her. I winged it and made the conscious decision to have her as an adult since she does have so many different and good sprites and official art. I have a transparent Rider Ushi in her background for clarity for those that only do know her as Rider.
I run this blog with the assumption we're all responsible adults here and we're not going to be weird about fictional characters to the same severity that we treat irl people. Fate, Tsukihime, etc are porn works, there's nothing wrong with that clearly, but serious and non-serious sexual acts with characters under 18 do happen and some of the characters submitted in this tourney are under 18 but I'm choosing not to be weird or a creepy about it so please don't think I have sus intentions with this tourney. This is a silly tourney theme that was selected and voted for. I'm just hosting it to the best of my ability while being respectful and fair as I can (sorry avicebron for the queen medb matchup, literally somebody had to go against her ;n;).

what of those who use rewrites and get harassed for it by... *those* kind of bright fans, like the type of "fan" that send threats, make nazi jokes, and so on, etc. like dont we also get some voice in venting? if i may share my vent:
i don't care if people wanna use bright, that's their choice good for them, but at most i want people to understand /why/ some people might be moving to a rewrite or a different character within the scp universe instead. and same thing goes for rewrite crowd to understand the same. its a spectrum, two extreme ends with a lot of grey in between it. bullying, sending threats, etc whatever from all sides isn't going to help anything.
i personally moved to rewrite because it just felt the best thing to do morally. i like to follow morals, and the moral said to rewrite something new. am i going to bully people and go "delete bright boo!!" no. i could never.
things i do agree: for the character to be deleted, or at least archived the same way the original 166 file was archived on the wiki with a big ass disclaimer, and keep the tales provided by they were written by other uses and not adminbright (example, keeping Major Tom but deleting Code Brown)
things i dont agree: bullying people who chose to either use bright or use a rewrite. agree to disagree.
Everyone can vent if they’d like and your welcome to vent here if you’d like but please just keep in mind that this is primarily meant to be a safe space for Bright users as well as being a place for my thoughts meaning I won’t exactly be impartial or neutral. I however do not condone any harassment and agree that everyone should be able to do whatever they’d like without fear of harassment.
Also I feel like the reason Bright fans vent more here on Tumblr is because rewrites are much more prevalent here and they also get much more support whereas Bright users are simply not allowed to speak in a lot of spaces. Of course this doesn’t justify any harassment but it may explain why some Bright fans go so far plus there’s simply way more rewrite users then Bright users here on Tumblr especially in the Western side of the fandom so that of course means there’s a larger percentage of them who’ve received harassment compared to the few Bright users.
Also also I’m not a big fan of the morality argument, I just feel like basing your interests off of what others tell you is ok to like/support can get depressing pretty quickly. Obviously you shouldn’t financially support bad companies/people but I feel like just straight up not being allowed to simply enjoy something or talk about it is going too far especially when it comes to something as harmless as a character. Of course the choice is yours however I’d just advise you to only follow your own idea of what’s morally correct and not let others bully you into doing what they think is right.
As for character Bright I believe he belongs to everyone but his original author so I agree that AdminBrights works should be removed off the wiki or if possible do something similar to Ao3’s orphaned accounts/anonymous accounts that way even if removal can’t be achieved then at least it’ll limit AdminBrights reach with new users. Everyone else’s works with Bright on the wiki should stay of course as they’ve done nothing wrong.
Anyways this’ll be the third or fourth time I’ve said this but do not send rewrite creators any hate or harassment I expect everyone here to act like adults regardless of age. If I find out anyone of my followers has been responsible for such asks/messages then me and my friends will put you on blast for all of Tumblr to see, this is not funny and your making the rest of us look immature.

OurHome App - Agere Review
Ciao lovelies! Like many of you, agere / age regression has changed my life for the better in many ways, helping me cope and encouraging my creativity and fun spirit. There has always been one thing I wanted agere to help me with, though, and that is life organization / task management! I do have a planner, and a calendar system for all my events, etc, but I really wanted something with more daily applications that could improve my daily life, help me remember to do tasks, and be linked to my age regression headspace. And then I found this app called “OurHome,” and I absolutely love it, which is why I want to review this app for you today and talk about how I use it for my daily tasks!
DISCLAIMER: OFT and Lunaria are NOT sponsored by OurHome, the Apple App Store, or any other brand mentioned within the following post. The following review contains NO affiliate links or paid promotions, and is solely my personal opinion regarding this app based on my own experiences.
How I found this app:
I found out about the OurHome app from Tumblr, actually! The user who posted about this app has since changed blogs and is now a 18+ blog, so I don’t feel comfortable linking them here, my apologies.
What is OurHome?:
The OurHome app is essentially a virtual to-do list, but connected to others! You can use this app with fellow regressors, or a CG if you have one. The idea is that you create a “Family” to add users to, and you can add tasks, reward points, rewards, due dates, etc.
How I use OurHome:
My explanation of this is probably going to be pretty long, but I’m including lots of tips for use of the app and other ideas, so it’s worth the read!
Setup:
My CG and I use this app together. We set up our Family unit as “The Moon Family” (You can name your family whatever you want). For us to use this app, we both needed to download it on our separate devices, and my CG set up the Family account. From there, he sent a link to my email that I used to make my account as a part of the Moon Family. After that, we were connected on the app, super easily, and then we began customizing.
Goals:
I had made a journal page about things I wanted to improve on in day-to-day life, and I showed this to my CG. Using that page, we decided upon daily, recurring, or even weekly tasks for me. It was very important to me that this process was not just his ideas, but also my input and agreement. I knew that if we worked together on deciding these tasks, I’d be more likely to see the weight behind them and be happier to keep up with them. Plus, it’s very nice knowing that not only am I doing the tasks for reward points, but because the tasks are so closely linked to my own personal goals, I’m also doing them for myself!
Task Setup:
The app has a LOT of customization options. For example, I have a recurring daily task to take my meds. This task gives me a notification every day at a specific time to ensure that I don’t forget. There are tasks that aren’t daily, as well, such as my “Laundry” task, which reoccurs weekly. We can also add one-time tasks for special events like picking up prescriptions or fun tasks like “send a selfie to -CG- with Buu (my cat).” Being able to adjust frequency and type of task is a helpful feature that I really like, but it’s not the only cool thing in this app.
Rewards Setup:
I also really love how customizable the rewards system is. You can base it on points or tasks completed, and as you earn points, you can choose to save up for larger rewards or cash in whenever you want! My CG set up some rewards for me with my help in adding options. The big goal (2000 points) earns me a surprise gift, or if I don’t want to save that long, there are other options like Boba date (500 points). Having the system this way gives me a sense of autonomy while still helping me stay encouraged to do my tasks.
Points and Due Dates:
Tasks can also be assigned due dates, and can have late penalties which can take away existing points or reduce point value for completing tasks. I like the latter of those options, as I can be forgetful, and I don’t get discouraged by my existing points disappearing. This option allows for me to see the consequences of not doing tasks without feeling discouraged or losing motivation.
My Fave Feature:
Oh, and the best feature in my opinion? If my CG notices that any of my tasks are not complete, he can send a little reminder notification to me which shows up as a “Gentle nudge.” He can do this with a simple tap, and it’s easy for him, which makes him happy. Plus, I like this because it’s a kind reminder without forcing my CG to constantly remind me via text or check ins on the phone.
Other Customization Perks:
Oh, and you can add comments or photos to tasks and completed tasks, track completed tasks, you have access to an activity feed of all completed tasks and claimed rewards… There is a LOT to love here.
Did I mention that you can add custom profile photos for yourself and your CG? The app provides some cute ones to choose from if you don’t want to upload anything, my CG and I are currently using the defaults, he is a turtle and I am a cat. Though, with how popular picrews are in the agere online space, I can totally see this feature being a good place to use some picrew images!
One Feature I Don't Use:
There is a feature in this app that I don’t use, mainly because I don’t currently live with my CG, but this feature could be super useful for agere roommates or even for possibly planning trips/outings together. The feature I’m referring to is the shared grocery list! This feature allows you and anyone else in the family account to make a cumulative grocery list. Which means each of you can add things that you need/want. For roommates, the benefits are awesome for grocery shopping or notifying each other of when things run out. For those who don’t live together, you could use this as a wishlist, christmas list, birthday list, etc.
(Side note, typing out the grocery list feature has me thinking… why don’t I use this with my CG?? Maybe we’ll check out the options next time we see each other.)
Luna’s OurHome Ratings:
User Experience: 5/5, I am always pleased to see such possibility for customization on something like this, and navigating the app is pleasantly easy!
Useful: 5/5, I find this app very useful for my needs! It has many great features that I highly enjoy.
Accessibility: 5/5, As far as I can see, this app is available across both iPhone devices and Android devices.
Overall? I’d say, based upon how many awesome features this has and how it’s hard for me to give this anything but a glowing review, I rank this app overall a 5/5!
I hope this review can help you if you are deciding on an app to use for life organization as an age regressor!
Thank you so much for reading! If you got this far, have a virtual high-five!
If you liked this, please check out my other content. I have a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr, and Merch shop!
Thank you again for reading! I’d like to dedicate this paragraph to reminding you how AWESOME you are! It’s important to me that each and every person reading this (yes, YOU) are aware of how awesome you are and how I’d like to ensure that you love yourself for who you are and all you’ve become up to this point!
With all that being said, have a great day, stay awesome, remember to love yourself, and I’ll see you in my next post, video, or whatever comes next!

-We are not a ship-based or ship-limited/specific Discord. We discuss community events and ships in the context of our creations (art/fics/gifs/manips/etc), so please be aware that any ship could come up. Character and ship bashing are not allowed. Additionally, for the comfort of those who do not enjoy shipping, discussion of shipping is limited to the shipping text channel.
-The main purpose of our Discord is to share our Digimon fan works and to create together
-That said, while we are a digimon content creating community, and while we discuss our works and request feedback on occasion, are NOT a feedback swapping discord.
-Non-creators are welcome, as we do chat about digimon frequently. You're doubly welcome if you're willing to provide occasional feedback to creators!
-We hold create-ins, which are amazing opportunities to ask fellow creators and fans for advice/opinions and share our progress! We also share monthly goals. All of this is voluntary, and you can skip whenever you would like! We encourage gentle, fun goals.
-We are a family friendly discord, no NSFW content or graphic violence, etc
Discord Rules:
1.) All general event rules apply, including content rules
2.) Be kind and respectful, no hateful language, trolling, or bashing. It is expected that members be kind and respectful of everyone of all backgrounds (race, creed, gender, sexuality, etc). We are a queer friendly space.
3.) No bashing of meta commentary/head canons/other subjective topics. Sometimes people share an opinion, and others are so hyped that they accidentally critique and/or debate that opinion. If members feel that their subjective opinion is being treated as a debatable objective topic, they are encouraged to respond /opinion. All members are expected to respect this request and drop any critique/debate.
4.) Please post content in the appropriate channel. Feel free to ask in the questions text channel if you are unsure where something goes. The questions text channel is the place to ask any qs about the tumblr event/discord/discord sub events.
5.) We are a Digimon content creation community, not a feedback swap Discord. We discuss our projects and ask for help, but our primary purpose is not to swap feedback. It's to provide a supportive community for digimon content creators and fans! If Discord users choose to request feedback, it is expected that they give roughly the same amount of feedback in return.
6.) We are a community that supports creators. If you share content that you have commissioned in the discord, always include a link to the creator. Sharing of art/media/content generated by AI is not permitted.
7.) Any discussion of spoilers must take place in the spoilers text channel. Currently, all discussions of Digimon Survive and Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning must take place there.
8.) For the comfort of those who do not enjoy shipping, lengthy shipping discussions are confined to the shipping text channel.
9.) Self-harm, suicide, and mental health issues are serious and heavy topics. Due to the mixed-age audience of this server, these topics are not appropriate for discussion here, even if intended as humor. Here are some resources for anyone struggling with self harm/suicide and/or mental health issues. Please seek qualified help if needed and take care of yourself.
10.) Protect your identity in the Discord. Be discrete about your name, where you live, and any identifying particulars of your life.

Oh, Tumblr.
I'm back. Again. AGAIN. I don't think anyone would be left shocked from the revelation that that I too, was one of them Tumblr kiddies. (neurodivergent queer kids with niche hyperfixations used to flock this site like moths to an open flame and boy did i have a lot of hyperfixations lmao) I'm back. Again. AGAIN. I don't think anyone would be left shocked from the revelation that that I too, was one of them Tumblr kiddies. (neurodivergent queer kids with niche hyperfixations used to flock to this site like moths to an open flame and boy did I have a lot of hyperfixations lmao) So greetings, old friend. It's me. Well, this feels less like meeting an old friend after a long time and more like being DMed by one of your old classmates from elementary school asking you if you were an open-minded individual looking for networking opportunities. (It's awkward and you don't really want to be having this conversation right now, but you kinda just have to go through it.) But here we are. Back to where I started. I'm scrolling through my old blogs and my dashboard and I still see lots of mecha and anime stuff here. This is where I used to do my fandom stuff. You know, fanart, fanfic, headcanons, and disproportionately heated arguments about the varying interpretations of a character from a cartoon made for children. Fun stuff. Eventually, when everyone moved, I also moved to different places too. Twitter mostly. Since then, my Tumblr just sat there, collecting dust and wondering why. "What happens to a Tumblr blog when it is left alone? It becomes worn and aged, and its paint peels and its foundations begin to sink. What does it think of? What does it dream? How does it regard those creatures who built it? Who brought it into existence only to abandon it when its usefulness no longer satisfies them."
I still have those old blogs, btw. Rule of the land was that you make one for each of the separate things you enjoy like you were an Ancient Greek god and the blogs were your different epithets ala Aphrodite Pandemos/Urania or something like that.
(Names blocked out both to protect my privacy and to spare everyone else the agony of my past cringe) But the ability to make multiple blogs and handle them from the same account actually lends itself to the process of compartmentalization. This sets it apart from other microblogging platforms. It's actually much easier to do this here than on Tumblr, Bluesky, etc. You're also given much more tools to spice up your posts here. YOU ACTUALLY HAVE FREEDOM TO FORMAT YOUR POSTS HOWEVER YOU LIKE
Probably won't come back here though. Place kinda died ever since they tried to block nsfw stuff in 2018 and basically killed all of the good will they've built with their user base. Also, I have a sizeable following on other websites anyway and it's difficult managing multiple sites so I'm sticking to those. It was fun seeing some people I used to follow still posting though.
So yeah, if anyone asks me "Hey, are you familiar with Tumblr?"
#people actually used to use tags to make comments all the time btw#especially for reblogs#it's so you can reblog and make comments without having to make a separate reply that's directed to op#op means original poster btw#i mean most of you probably know that but im just clarifying for the sake of it

on bows etc.
2023 was the year of putting bows on everything. Labels like Sandy Liang gained immense popularity and designers charged extra for tying ribbons onto everything from bags to jeans. Like many other trends, this was popularised on TikTok, with millions of videos of bows tied on everything from toilet bowls to the muscled arm of someone’s boyfriend.
A year later, most people have moved on. But what seems like just another microtrend on the surface is really just a part of a larger story in fashion, and coquette, the style the trend originated from.
I’ve been around long enough to remember it being popular on Tumblr where it went by “nymphet”, famously from Nabokov’s Lolita. Teenage girls would post carefully curated pictures of cherries, heart-shaped glasses, and retro summer outfits of gingham and denim, along with musings about older men and Lana Del Rey lyrics. The style was very centered around the 1997 adaptation the book, with an obsession around american symbols and being a young, teenage girl. This was until the platform’s NSFW ban, where the tag was banned and users came up with dolette and the more popular coquette, also distancing itself from the controversial novel and film.
With its new name christened, coquette continued on, but it was undoubtedly changing. Many of the original members, now grown up, had mostly abandoned their blogs. Its new home on TikTok, Pinterest and Instagram were more image based and less community focused, so its original culture had been lost. Interestingly, this parallels alternative subcultures. Punk was a movement about primarily music and being anti-establishment, which led to styles like goth and grunge which largely lost the political aspect, or even steampunk and mall goth which is solely fashion based.
Many people look at coquette’s evolution (or devolution, depending on who you ask) negatively. As more people adopted this aesthetic it has lost cultural currency and its status as a niche community. The term itself has been diluted to the point of meaninglessness, and is a catch-all term used to describe an impossibly broad range of feminine aesthetics, from dark and ironic waif style to bright and shiny y2k inspired fashion or even blokette, which adds the contrast of masculine athletic gear.
However, this might not necessarily be all bad. The expansion of what it means to be coquette also means more people are welcomed to this once almost exclusively thin, white, teenage style. 20 somethings wishing to reconnect with their girlhood are dressing in delicate pinks, and as an Asian woman I’ve never felt more included. Original coquette blogs also frequently included posts encouraging disordered eating, and problematic messages romanticising age gap relationships with minors, which was very damaging to the impressionable girls who made up the community.
What remains constant however, is the appreciation of the hyper-feminine in a world that often prioritises the masculine. Whatever you call it, and in every reiteration of the style, I will always be inspired by coquette and numphet aesthetics, and I, for one, will be keeping the ribbons in my hair.
