Hi I’d like to provide counter-angst, AKA stupid crack fluff shenanigans! So you know how Ram’s favorite animal are ants? Imagine how he’d react to somehow finding a bunch of Pikmin, which are basically like a d v a n c e d ants. (Yes I’m putting this on the table in honor of Pikmin 4 releasing today after 10 years of waiting)

ooo this was a fun little one to write! I had to ask the discord group about Pikmin because I had no idea what they do. I have heard of the games, but never played any of them-

But hey! Here's another req done! ♥

Ramattra and Pikmin

Word count: 1140

Some time ago, Ramattra was asked what his favourite animal was, and at the time, he found it a rather ridiculous and perplexing question. He hadn’t exactly thought much of it, nobody was ever interested in his favourite things, be it animals, literature or even music. 

Although, despite the sudden question, he replied back just as quick, almost as if his processor had just done over a million searches in just under a second. 

“Ants. They build marvellous structures and cooperate when threatened. I find them... Inspirational.” 

The small guy who asked didn’t seem too convinced with the answer and that was the end of that conversation. Ramattra deemed it; irrelevant. 

It wasn’t a question that weighed on his processors though. He had more pressing matters to attend to which was the liberation of omnics. 

As time passed by, however, he had researched more about these ‘ants’. What they do, their purpose in life, how they act and form their colonies. Ramattra was intrigued by these creatures and perhaps that’s some sub thought behind his attacks with Null Sector. By fighting as one, we are stronger.

The more he looked into them, the more he found them fascinating; ants can lift up to 10-50 times its body weight, each ant has a specific job to do within its colony and that ants are this worlds strongest insect compared to its body size. Papers upon papers of research stacked on his desk of just ants. He was practically obsessed with them. 

As his war went on, many cities destroyed and chaos trembling the streets, Ramattra wanted, no, needed, a small break. Tension and anger was rising as his attempts of liberation were failing. He needed to clear his systems but going back to the Monastery was only going to sour those feelings more. 

Instead, he settled on a small area of nature, trees and high grass, flowers and life blossoming despite the war going on a few kilometres away. It was tranquil, the breeze shaking the leaves, some falling off the branches as Ramattra walked the dirt path. There was no destination in mind, there never was whenever he wanted to feel peace. He would wander for hours if he could, letting his processors go through every thought, every error. 

Taking a seat by an old tree, he rests his staff on his lap, hands entwining together as he meditates. Images and videos run through his head, where it all went wrong, how it could be different. If his brother would join him, what would the outcome be? 

All he could do was think, errors clearing, fans cooling him down as his processor slows down. His body hums quietly amongst the sounds of the forest, birds above him chirping and leaves rustling. He was finally calm until a sound he had never registered before sounded near his receptor. 

His head tilts upwards and then to the location of the sound. His optics look around but he couldn’t see anything. There was nobody there, no human nor omnic. 

He stared for a moment longer before returning back to his meditation. 

The sound started again. 

Ramattra turned, but nothing was seen, so he turned back and bowed his head.

It sounded again but this time Ramattra released his hands, thumping one into the tree behind him with an irritated groan. Strangled sounds emerged, small things fell beside him, a few landed in his cowl. He almost seemed surprised, hand reaching down to grab these little things.

He looked down at them, sensors scanning these peculiar entities but nothing came up. Nobody had written or seen such a thing before, Ramattra seemed to be the first one. 

The small creatures looked back up at him, cocking their heads to the side to mimic Ramattra as he did it too. The small leaves and flowers on their head bobbing against the wind only confused him more. 

“Curious little things…” He turns his hand, watching as they scramble to sit gently on top of his hand. The ones seated in his cowl watch on, making squeaky and unnatural noises as their friends move around him. 

“What are you?” 

Ramattra watches as they jump down from his hand and gather together in a group. The little noises they made irked him slightly, receptor trying to lower their frequency so it wasn’t as irritating. 

The group near his thigh consisted of a multitude of colours, mainly red, yellow and blue. He wonders if they have specific uses, so he cocks his head to the side once more, processors trying to find some information on them, no matter how obscure. When he was met with nothing, he simply speaks. 

“What is it that you do?” 

The red ones quickly gather together, running off and picking up a large rock whilst the yellow ones began conducting electricity. It was practically a shock to Ramattra, especially when his finger hovered above the yellow ant-like creatures. He chuckled, the little shock tickling him. The blue creatures stood together in a group, seeming unsure of what to do as they look around. 

“And you, little things?” Ramattra points to the blue group. 

They make some noises as if to communicate but Ramattra doesn’t understand. 

“Peculiar…” He hums, leaning back slightly against the tree. His optics look down, seeing the ones seated inside of his cowl. He chuckles once more before looking at the surrounding area. 

“You remind me of ants. Little insects that can… well, lift heavy objects. Maybe not conduct electricity, but stay together as a group.” He looks down again. “Are there any more of you?” 

They make the noises again, looking at each other as if speaking to one another. The rather gigantic omnic looks on, wondering what they could be saying. 

Almost, as if unionised, they call out only to be met with silence. It took a moment before many more little creates appeared, surrounding Ramattra. Different kinds appeared too, chunky purple ones, little pink ones with wings buzzed by his receptors and danced around his head. White and rock looking creatures appeared soon after. 

Ramattra was stunned, but he was intrigued. How come there is no information on these little creatures? He watches them scurry around him, some climbing over his thighs, others clinging onto his arms, while the ones buzzing around his head settled within his cowl. He was swarmed with these “ants” and he enjoyed it. He was fascinated, wanting to learn more about each and every one of them. 

He sat there under the tree, the breeze passing by as he watched these creatures. He spoke on occasion, trying to get as much information as he could with their little noises and gestures. It was going to be a long process to study them, but one he was determined to carry out amongst his liberation.

random thought of mine, which clone do you think would have the best singing voice? Ik they’re clones so they all sound the same fmdndn but still. i think jesse or echo maybe?

jesse would be such a beautiful singer, not a doubt in my mind. his voice is velvety, a bit husky with a hard punch of power. i’ve entertained this thought on multiple occasions and will one day write smth with singing jesse.

echo though? akhdkshkakdj i never thought abt him singing before now but i can totally see it, his voice being a bit less gritty than jesse’s but with a smidge more range and a clearness that rivals the scarif oceans.

genre-wise i think jesse would be a bit more cocky and playful with his go-to songs, and he will dominate the stage with his godlike dancing every time he’s given the chance;

radar love by the golden earring - this is the song he first gets the confidence to dance to. once the crowd goes wild for it and he realizes how much he enjoys moving around, he keeps on doing it. there’s this one thing he does that’s like, um, jolting/bouncing (not sure how else to describe it) but the crowd thinks it’s great when he does it.

sexbomb by tom jones - his dancing here is utterly erotic and he knows how attractive it is, holy kriff. it’ll bring the entire bar staff to a standstill bc damn look at his hips go, sex god much??? most definitely grinds against the mic stand and gfgalkdfjghlkf it never fails to fluster quite a few patrons (this will soon be a full-fledged fic so keep your eyes open)

no mr. nice guy by alice cooper - he jokes sometimes that he was actually quite peaceful as a cadet before joining the five-oh-first. it isn’t a joke tho and you can blame fives and hardcase for making him go wild. but this song makes him think of when he stopped caring abt trying to impress the longnecks and he enjoys hitting the higher notes.

rock the casbah by the clash - this is where he learns to snap his hips to every “rock” with a bit extra force. the crowd has a blast clapping along, some of the more drunk people screeching “the shareef don’t like it!” at the top of their lungs. it’s upbeat 

rock this town by the stray cats - he’s having a damn good time with this song, a lot of elvis presley vibes. if he had enough hair he’d flip it. he does a bit of air guitar and will sway his mic stand around and bounce his knee to the beat.

strutter by kiss - he loves this one, it’s a personal favorite. he;ll be running his hands down his body when he’s still, but the times he’s walking around the stage he’s got a hand on his swinging hips, literally strutting. it’s so fun to watch him embrace the music

bad to the bone by george thorogood & the destroyers - a joking request from fives that turned into a crowd favorite. fives didn’t think his vod could do it but jesse rose to the occasion as he charmed his way through the song with his fun swagger and playful air sax. he drank quite a bit of water after this one bc he was unused to using as much gravel in his voice as this song took, but he enjoys it nonetheless.

echo would be softer with his choices, leaning more towards soulful and sweet in comparison to jesse’s wild side. he also plays both guitar and piano, i take no criticism on these points;

the night they drove old dixie down by the band - he plays this one after a rough mission and it’s deeply resonating with everyone there, everyone either putting down their drinks to let the song flow thru them, or grab something stronger to let it lull them into inebriation.

no plan by hozier - he sounds so beautiful with literally any hozier song tbh, but this one is his favorite. this was the closest he got to smth soulful before the times he duetted with jesse and he really enjoyed it. it was smooth yet passionate and is one he sang for the first time when dejected and unsure abt his future.

piano man by billy joel - he plays the piano for this song & kriff did it take him a while to both master it and find someone that played the harmonica well enough to join him. this is rex’s favorite song to hear echo play and will hum it quite often. echo enjoys throwing himself into playing this one in a way he doesn’t often do & he’s called “the piano arc” the first time he plays it. the nickname sticks but he likes it, so no harm done.

amie by pure prarie league - this was a fun song for echo to learn and he really enjoys how gentle it is. he’ll tap his foot with the music and just let himself go. sometimes he’ll catch himself moving his shoulders slightly as he plays but he doesn’t stop. when he plays this one, he prepares to hear his brothers hum it for at least a week afterward, it’s just that good.

house of the rising sun by the animals - this one isn’t heard until some time after he and jesse duet & echo exhibits his capacity to have a bit of gravel, which is absolutely heavenly when heard. there’s a lot of held-out notes here and a special kind of twang he’s able to finesse, it’s stunning.

skinny love by bon iver - he learned to play guitar to this song right here, it’s one of his faves and loves how tender & raw it can be. he’s heard covers of it that added too much to it & detracted from the intensity of the emotions, so he sticks with the original. it’s an extremely vulnerable song and it’s somber, but he enjoys baring himself without the risk of being shamed for it. several people cry the first time they hear him sing this song. (this one will turn into a fic as well, time tbd)

bad moon rising by creedence clearwater revival - echo sang this one for the first time tne night before the five-oh-first got their orders, which ended up being to felucia. there are always strange occurences when this song is sung & a few ppl will do anything to keep echo from singing it bc they think it’s an omen. everyone enjoys hearing the song, no doubt, but the moment it ends, some battalion or another is doomed to a bad assignment.

now if these two were to ever team up???? no one would be able to talk about anything else for weeks afterwards

you don’t mess around with jim by jim croce - they’re sitting on barstools in front of their mics, echo strumming on his guitar while jesse pats his thigh as a substitution to the drums. v playful vibes with this song and they can’t stop grinning as they sing. it’s fun and they’ll sometimes lightly tap each other with their feet throughout the performance to tease. lighthearted and always enjoyed.

all this and heaven too by florence + the machine - it’s got enough power for jesse but is also delicate enough for echo, achieving a great balance of their strengths as well as a tambourine. you’d probably think that jesse and a tambourine can cause as much trouble as hardcase with explosives, but he’s insanely focused on getting the hits right. no one expects to hear echo belt out such strong notes in contrast to his normal choices but damn they love it. and jesse?? softly breathing the verses with a delicateness no one thought he possessed?? they’re weak for them both.

soul shop by prophets and outlaws - they harmonize SO!!! DAMN!!! GOOD!!! echo playing the piano and jesse sitting on top of it just straight up VIBING. the entire bar is swaying with the music and letting themselves melt into the floor. none of them were prepared for echo to harness a little bit of gravel in his voice or for jesse to capture the melodic tone that echo doesn’t have to put effort into. this song, having a lot of soul and grit to it but is smoother than corellian whiskey, is a performance for the record books.

I loved your portrayal of Elizabeth. Half ghost half girl, there is something incredibly provocative in the way in which she tries to become all that she thinks she can be. I was listening to Swan Lake Act II. No. 10. during your muse sample and it ended just as I finished reading it. Coincidence? I think not. Elizabeth will make a wonderful addition to the group, and I cannot wait to see how her story plays out. I've been thinking about potential subplots for her and wowie my brains a racing.

Yelena has such a presence about her that I can't help but be enamored with her. There is a wistfulness in everything she does, but it does not slow her down. In fact, I would argue it makes her all the more present. She reminds me of a deer, ephemeral but wise and always on the lookout for potential danger. For a person such as herself, I see the workings of a woman afraid to die and afraid of the life she has already been living. Yelena will be such a treat to see develop and I cannot wait to see what kind of shenanigans occur during the story!

When Hana was given a buffet in front of her as threat toward her compliance that pierced me like a knife. Her demotion to soloist as punishment for stepping out of line I think is a beautiful analogy for how girls like her aren't meant to last long: they're meant to be sacrificial pawns so that others may endure and to think that one can be anything other than that is a mistake. Loss which permeates all of one's being is meant to hurt, and Hana has demonstrated one way of being resilient.

Esme playing Marilyn Campbell, the maelstrom; corpse de ballet at NYCB

Marilyn is the perfect storm, ready to consume all that which does not heed her. I love how you portrayed her resignation to what she is, and perhaps what she thinks is all that she will ever be, but even her doubts are thwarted by her want, her consuming desire, to become someone else. Much like the Bermuda Triangle, she may be a touch auspicious, but people cannot help but want to be pulled into her destruction. I love the ideas you have for her plot development and I can't wait to see how it all unfolds.

First of all, holy shit I loved your memes they were. Oh my god, so funny. When I go over apps the first thing I do is look at the meme section, and let me tell you — just that little bit you gave me enticed me to want to know more about Fred. When I finally began to read him my heart SWOONED. Do you hear me? Swooned. He's such an interesting character, filled to the brim with animosity and hurt — he deals with his past the best way he can. I also cannot wait until Fred introduces everyone to the soul of America with his love for jazz.

You wrote in your application is Zinaida good or evil, Odette or Odile — and while I do not have an answer for you right now, I do know that I would love to explore that with you. She's a beautiful girl whose life is tragic in the way only fairy tales can be. The perfect Jewel of Moscow (I did like that name), who while controlled by those above her wishes for her own happy ending despite knowing that her end will be nothing less than fatalistic. Her aversion toward things which reminds her of her own mortality hits home, omg, yes, why must I have this human body. Why must I suffer having lived.

AHHH, that broke me, that line right there broke me. I can so ardently feel the love and happiness her family gave her, their precious daughter, and how they would do anything to give her the world she deserves. Then you went on to talk about her apprehension to go to Vagnova, and my world turned upside down. Her disposition really speaks to me, and her family ties as well. She's also a breath of fresh air, like a sunflower in a meadow that had recently rained. Her optimism and kind disposition really shines through in your app and in your memes.

Gonna start my little tangent with wow, your mood-board :cheff kiss: absolute perfection. I don't use extras as a basis for my decision making, merely something I admire from afar, but damn — if I did yours would no doubt be at the front of the line. There were two parts of your application that I wanted to highlight, and the other was half your application lmao. Your muse sample really expanded your character and showed me how much of a Swan Eva can be. I called the Swan skeleton a starling at the beginning, a bird which choses their survival above all else. A transformation of a girl into a star, Eva is a force which cannot be tamed unless you destroy her.

All ballet dancers in this RP live and breathe ballet, but Alina is in a realm of her own. I loved how you wrote her to be a ballet master, someone who would put aside their pride of being a "former prima ballerina" to now teaching a group of dancers because ballet is all that she is. Your muse sample really showed me the intense power of a woman who knows what she wants, and who she is — even if all she believes herself to be is something irrevocably intertwined with ballet. I'm very excited to see the relationship she forms with her dancers and with those who are from out of the Union. I'm particularly interested in her second plot development point and would love to explore that in game.

No, Viktor had fashioned the resentment into an albatross of his own, hanging limp and heavy from his neck.

What can I say about Viktor other than I'm a fan. He's so gentle and yet so resilient, a mess of cacophonous sounds that melds into a beautiful sonata. There's pain in him, a ghost which lingers from his past, and while resigned to perhaps eternal disappointment he continues. I loved the way in which you developed his reason / background for being in the Bolshoi Theater when he himself could have been a star — still strives to be actually: but more resigned this time in his ambition. I loveee Viktor and I can't wait to see how he develops.

//So as everyone knows, there’s a “certain contagion” going around right now and its keeping a lot of people from leaving their house in order to avoid getting and/or spreading the said contagion.  So like myself, I imagine you all must be enjoying all of the comforts of home life: writing, sleeping, reading, watching your prefered streaming service, endless hours on social media, and of course, gaming.

Now to be completely straight with you, gaming is how I’ve been spending MOST of my time so far. Some friends I don’t get to play with enough have been stuck inside too, which means that now is the perfect time for us to make up for lost opportunities, but being on my PlayStation means that I can’t be on tumblr - even though I DO want to be more active on here right now. So that got me thinking that maybe I should enable my mutuals to join me in my gaming shenanigans. That way I might reach some sort of compromise on the situation while also getting to know some of you in a way I might not have previously.

So! As of now (at least until the “social distancing” ends) mutuals are free to ask me for my PlayStation Network ID, my Nintendo Online ID, or any other relevant gaming info so that we can hook up and have a good time!  If you do, I’ll either hit you up on tumblr or Discord (whichever you prefer!) and I’ll privately send you the info. I’d do it on the dash, but I don’t want my personal account to get flooded with random messages and spam.

Name shenanigans

So... I need to ramble for a bit, about names and stuffs. You don’t have to read. It’s just a long ass post about me and how I wanna be called lol.

My birthname starts with a V. My parents, my family, they refuse to call me by anything else than my birthname, and they don’t use the correct pronouns. At first, I was okay with it. Then, slowly, oh so slowly, my birthname (I won’t call it deadname. It’s not a deadname, it’s a really pretty name, and I love it. It doesn’t suit me is all.), well, it started making me feel weird. Bad weird. I started not feeling comfortable with my birthname and the pronouns my family used. And when I mentionned it, my parents said “But you’re our daughter for 18 years now. We can’t change the way we talk now.”. It hurt. A lot. I started asking people not to use my birthname anymore at all and use male pronouns in french (I dislike the neutral ones, they sound weird to me, they’re a combination of male and female pronouns), even in front of my parents. My friends agreed.

Now, let’s be clear: I’m genderfluid. I’m non-binary genderfluid, I change gender depending on a fuckton of factors and variables. I’m proud of who I am. The reason I use male pronouns in french (and a few other languages), is basically a choice of aesthetic and sounds.

I’ve watched the videos from Thomas Sanders for a while now. Sometimes I stop and then I catch up, but the point is, I was watching them before the Anxiety character appeared in the Sanders Sides vids. And as soon as he appeared, I could relate to him a lot. If you ask me, I’ll say I’m a fusion between Logic and Anxiety (and I’m not using their names for a reason btw, just you wait). But Anxiety is really close to who I am, me who has so much anxiety issues that I spent a year locked up in my room, barely going out, and who has at least 1 panic attack every week. I loved the character right away, even when he was often depicted as a bad character. Because it was me. And then, Thomas revealed his name, his actual name. Virgil.

Now, let’s look back at my birthname, shall we? It’s an Eastern-European name, doesn’t really exist in my country (apart from the North-East that belonged to the germans at some point, hm), it’s really common in my other country (I’m half french, half german), and it’s a common name in my grandpa’s home country (Hungary). It’s pretty uncommon to hear it, when you can pronounce it properly, you can’t write it properly, and when you can write it properly, you can’t pronounce it properly. It starts with a V, and it is actually close to Virgil, to me.

I immediately became confused. I didn’t know how to feel about the name. It was pretty, sure, but... Did I like it? It reminded me of my birthname. And I was at a moment of my life where I hated my birthname because my parents wouldn’t let me be myself. So. Virgil. I didn’t know how to feel at that point.

Cue to a year or so? After? (Just checked, and yep, around a year after) At the beginning of this school year, new school, new city, new people. A friend of mine (@/morporkianhobbit) gets into the Sanders Sides vids, and talk about it a lot. I watch them all all over again, to remind myself of the details, because my friend tends to ask a bunch of questions about very specific stuffs, and I want to be able to help her understand what she might’ve missed. I met her as I arrived on my first day, we spend hella lot of time together, she’s super supportive, and honestly, going back to an old fandom to have more discussion subject with her is one hell of a good idea. My old rp group gets sort of back together, 3 of the other 5 people who were there before agree to rp with me again. This time I rp a side as well. I look at more famders blogs, meeting new people in the fandom. I stumble into @/sugarglider9603 (I’m not tagging anyone bc I don’t wanna bother people tbh), and I fall in love with her Mario AU. After a while, she and @/galaxy-lilies make the Spiderverse Sides AU. I love it, and I love the Into The Spiderverse movie. I created a bunch of AU the past few months. I enter the Spiderverse discord.

Now, about my name, in the meantime, I’ve learned a bit. I don’t hate my birthname anymore. My family still isn’t supportive of my gender (and my parents still aren’t convinced the ace spectrum exist, but at least I can date whoever I want, as they don’t care wether I like a gender or another, and my own mother tells me she’s pansexual). But my birthname is pretty, I don’t live with my parents most of the time, and I’m meeting new people, people who respect my pronouns and name. As for Anxiety’s actual name, I like it. Virgil is a pretty name, an amazing name, and it doesn’t sound that close to my birthname anymore. It isn’t painful to hear it anymore. I made peace with both this name and my birthname.

On the discord server, we start rpying. I call on Virgil, so I get to rp as him. I cannot remember anyone’s names, to be honest, unless the person repeats it to me several times, and I’m always convinced imma mess up, hence why I give people nicknames. Our Patton starts calling us by the name of the character we rp. I join her in on that. They all call me V or Virge. And I’m okay with it.

I actually like it. I feel like it fits, even.

I talk about it to my best friend (@/hecking-garbage). They say it’s because V refers to “Virgil” and not to my birthname anymore. It does, but that doesn’t explain why I feel like it fits. I ask another of my friend (@/angels-and-dreams), who says (and I quote there) “Maybe you can just call yourself V, with a spelling like Vea or Vee or something like that“ while I see what I’d like to do with my name. I like the idea of being called V or Vee for now, and see how it goes from there. That’s my choice. And I add that “Vee. Huh. I like it. And I could actually ask my teachers to shorten my name to Vee, as  it is the beginning of my birthname, and wouldn't seem as strange as Aky.“, which is true. I decide I can actually go see my formation manager, to ask her if I can change my name in the school papers, so the teacher would gender me properly.

This is what I’m going to do next week. I’m going to ask my teacher to call me Vee, and see how it goes from there.

Dante Millionlight's La Divina Tragedia

...or whysoln novel for short ! (found at @whysolnnovel​ ; the series is ongoing) la divina tragedia is a definitely not blasphemous at all slice-of-life comedy about the Prestigious™ gods college of ambrosial.

in which a group of 9 teenagers (including the titular dante millionlight) go to a big school to learn how to become deities and create their own worlds. heck, some of these worlds are ones you might even know personally... (hint hint nudge nudge stab stab)

the main focus of whysoln lies in its cast of charming characters that definitely would have gotten all of us exiled a few centuries ago. (including but not limited to god, satan, the only straight character here who somehow got mistaken for jesus, zeux because thats how its really written, the other satan, and MUCH more !!)

follow THEM as they make friends and take part in various shenanigans in this very heartwarming and chill funny story.

that is, until they learn there have been Some Murders in their very own school.....!! who and why could do such a thing, and will our main cast be truly okay ?!

Dreamless Project

...or drepro novel for short ! (found at @drepronovel​ ; the series is on hiatus) dreamless project is a long ass dark fantasy & psychological horror series with lots of gods, devils, rainbow aesthetics, royalty shenanigans, hell, even a steampunk army and..... a sadistic murder god villain ?!

it has been in the works since 2016 and is currently undergoing a massive reboot. i dont know when it will be back, but it definitely will be !!

follow about 20 characters as they try to defy fate once and for all... and learn that no matter how grim their past was, its never too late to change and become a good person.

until then, do look forward to lots of light, darkness, time loops, suffering and found family adventures !!

God-For-Nothing’s Codename: Catastrophe

codename: catastrophe is an upcoming story set in a world that just so happens to be both post and pre-apocalyptic called eskhatos.

judgement day draws near... and a young 13 year old boy with a loving family and no memories of his past sets off on a big journey to find out who he truly is, never to look back again. eventually, he will learn that no matter what, every life is a miracle worth living. also oranges are tasty.

the mari show is a miscellaneous series following VILLAIN OF VILLAINS, EMBODIMENT OF EVILNESS, PUREST FORM OF EVIL LORD MARI KROWNS (thats her full name) as she interviews characters from the other series.

its basically our genius way of offering you more content of them.

lord mari also just so happens to be our extremely malicious mascot character !! SHE runs the discord server and SHE will deliver most information both on this site and the server from now on. to learn more about her, check her bio here !!
