Neuvillette: He is charged with possession of stolen property.
Jean: Damn it, again?! ...fine, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow. Venti is currently spending the night in jail for public intoxication.
Neuvillette: ...your deity has been incarcerated?
Jean: What else should I have done with him?

Jean: Common enough. Honestly, it's for his own good. At least if he's in jail, Diluc can't throw him out of the second story window of the Angel's Share a third time.
Neuvillette: Good heavens. I may as well leave Barbatos here. Whatever you're doing to him is a far greater punishment than any sentence I could hand down.

february is the worst possible reward I can think of for having made it through january
#you threw your keys in the water i looked down they'd frozen halfway down in the ice#they froze up so quickly (the keys and their owner) even after the anger it all turns silent#and the everyday grows solitary so we've come to february#first we forgot where we'd planted those bulbs last year and then we forgot that we planted at all#then we forgot what plants are altogether#and i blamed you for my freezing and forgetting#and the nights are long and cold and scary can we live through february?#you know i think christmas was a long red glare shot up like a warning#we have presents without cards and then the snows#and then the snows came we were always out shoveling and we'd drop to sleep exhausted#and we'd wake up and it's snowing#and february was so long that it lasted into march and saw us walking a path alone together#i stopped and pointed and you said 'that's a crocus' and i said 'what's a crocus?' and you said 'it's a flower'#i tried to remember but i said 'what's a flower?' you said 'i still love you'#the leaves were turning as we drove to the hardware store#my new lover have me keys to the house#and when we got home well we just started chopping wood cause you never know how next year will be#and we'll gather all our arms can carry#i have lost to february#<- this has been a production of Doth Reciting Dar Williams Lyrics In Tags#thank you for your time#and as always forgive any mistakes as that was straight up from memory

#text#maybe it’s the seasonal depression but the lonely has been hitting EXTRA hard for the past few weeks#like ive been getting hit with devasting wave of loneliness after devastating wave of loneliness#catches me at the end of a work day#or on a solitary walk after leaving a venue where i had fun#in the quiet of my apartment at night it finds me#slams into me like a wall#i wasn’t meant to live in a quiet house#even when i had roommates who were completely strangers — i enjoyed their presence in the apartment#just knowing someone else is there is so comforting

“ i come bearing coffee and i picked us up some cookies too. well, they’re mostly for you, i had a hearty lunch before i came over so coffee shall be more than enough for me. ” atticus announces as he walks into his sister’s living room, ignoring the need of an invitation or greetings. they were family, after all. he plops down on the couch after setting the food on the coffee table. “ and can you put down that phone when i’m talking to you, please? you’re not fucking working right now, are you? ” he rolls his eyes. he knows exactly how daphne can be, which is why he often forces himself out of his cave to make sure she’s not overwhelming herself at work. especially after the chaos that imploded inside the mayor’s office.

I went on an entirely unplanned short hike with my Mom today while we were out together. It was really nice, we saw lots of neat stuff and did a local trail we hadn't done before. Saw a kestrel, a pair of turkey vultures, some beautiful crocuses and balsam flowers.... all in all a solid afternoon imo. There were all taken by my Mom since she's got the good camera LOL I just had my phone
#we got so close to the vultures yall#like within 8 or 9 meters of them and they just were like#hanging out totally fine with us walking by and admiring them#it was nuts ive never been that close to wild ones before theyre usually really skittish#the kestrel was a really pretty guy too and there were some mountain bluebirds flying around#and so many spring flowers#bees and hover flys and solitary wasps everywhere as well

it's so dumb that we still feel awkward about creating willogenic headmates in our sys when we literally found out we were plural through the tulpa community
#SYSCOURSE GET BLOCKED AND EXPLODED 💥#endo safe#tulpa safe#but like we figured out we had an actual disassociative disorder through that community#because when we first started 'creating' headmates and talking about it in the community#everyone was like 'yea its... not usually normal for tulpas to form so completely THAT fast??? especially multiple at once???'#'its not really normal to be SURPRISED by a 'new tulpa'? like... the whole thing is you have to put in effort to create them?'#when we started tulpamancy we basically had a cambrian explosion of headmates like we went from Cecil alone to 14 all at once#(and we have confirmation that Cecil did not arrive alone. his arrival (or reveal) was ANNOUNCED by A DIFFERENT GUY)#literally the conversation was just#ruby: why am i getting intrusive thoughts rn#sheo; not making himself known: it's cecils fault#ruby: WHOS CECIL?????#cecil: hi thats me#we talked about how cecil basically formed by himself (blank as well) and everyone was like... bestie that might not be a tulpa....#they were really kind abt it though i happened to be in a nice group#anyway all that backstory aside we keep wanting a headmate of a specific concept but keep feeling weird about making them from scratch#cause like. years and years ago. we ran away from home once and. well let's just say we did not intend to be found with a pulse#and like. we were texting our friends while walking and they weren't able to convince us to go home at all we were. very not ok#and i had to put away my phone bc it started raining so i kept walking for a bit and then just. stopped#bc in the middle of the road there was just. a single solitary bright red salamander. just standin there#and i just. i don't even know. i broke a little? i was just overwhelmed with the wonder of nature and life and coincidence?#I've literally only ever seen two salamanders in my entire life. one that i caught under a bush and wanted to keep as a pet but was told no#and that little fire red salamander in the middle of the road#and i genuinely think if i had not stopped to look at that salamander i would not have gone home#and i want. to have a salamander headmate that can be there for comfort and stuff#if we ever get a tattoo we're definitely getting a salamander one as our first one#maybe mixed with a semicolon bc the salamander is like. symbolizing the same thing for me#the 'i fucking made it. im still here' kind of vibes

#i think one thing i really didn't prepare for w overnights is just how fucking lonely it is. like yeah 80% of the reason i took it was to#get away from customers but like. it worked. and the night shift team is v v small. there's only 4 of us and we've never been scheduled all#at once yet. and usually we're running around on completely opposite ends of the building going long periods of time without#radioing each other. and then i come home all amped up and the rest of my house is still asleep. and then when they wake up#it's just to get ready and go and we don't really have time to talk. and by the time they get back i'm sleeping#and it's my first night off and i can't fuck up my whole schedule i worked so hard to switch over to w them flipping me all over the place#so now i'm just like. sitting in the half light trying not to wake anybody up not doing anything. the only places near us open are#gas stations and i can't exactly loiter there and what would i do even if i could. and it's too cold to go for a walk or to the park#or something. and i feel like i haven't talked to another human being about something that wasn't related to work in years#and it's only been a week.#and we can listen to music or podcasts or something but our carts and machines are so loud you miss half of it. and we can't hold#super long conversations when we ARE in the same room for the same reasons. plus we all want to die so none of us feel like talking.#and just. im tired and lonely and want to sleep and im already regretting this but i'd feel bad for backing out now when they have so#few options and i volunteered for it in the first place#and then there's also like. even just doing my usual solitary thing at home feels so much more isolated bc there's not the noises#of other people existing nearby. the nearest signs of life are some coughing and then a car on the other side of the block#just. what am i even doing here.#tag ramble
