#personal#delete later#for context a tweet i made in the middle of the night blew the fuck up and brought the attention of anime fans who've been#harassing and hassling me about my big factual blunder for an entire day straight#“ok i'll apologize” “bro it's not that serious.”#“you're right it's not that serious“ ”why won't you just admit that you're wrong and apologize!“#i'm not going crazy right. i feel like i'm getting manipulated into thinking i must've been wrong#it's crazy how twitter hate will trick you into believing saying something someone else disagrees with is a moral failing#sorry i haven't seen frieren i guess but what's it to you. i wasn't making a claim or statement#also because nobody has gotten this in the original post i wasn't talking about the quality of animation i'm talking about solid drawing#which is a very specific principle of animation. dandandan has really good solid drawing wherein all the characters are animated#with realistic and proportional 3d depth. newsflash but trigger doesn't prioritize solid drawing in their animation and that's fine#it's an aesthetic choice and has ties to production limits. none of this is a big deal. this is all so stupid lol#i've dealt with worse and more annoying weebs though it's fine i'll put on my clown nose twitter needs their stupid guy for the day#oh btw at the end of the day this doesn't matter. it'll be over by tomorrow. all that's happening is petty angry emotions.#so please don't involve yourself by jumping into the argument and prolonging this shit#i'm about to go on a date with tulli after being apart for a month this is the furtherest thing from my mind rn

instead of saying "sorry for taking up space" or "sorry for being a burden" I'm supposed to say "thank you for letting me take up space." and so far this small change in wording has helped
this sort of "apologizing for your existence" is a learned behavior that stems from putting yourself beneath your abuser and submitting to them (usually as a form of fawning or attempting to lessen the abuse but that probably goes without saying). saying "thank you" instead of "sorry" allows you to still express your gratitude for being taken care of and given space to exist, but does it without putting yourself beneath the other person
it's just a small change in wording but if you're the kind of person who finds themselves compulsively apologizing for their existence, it might be helpful to try

The only thing that worked for my collie with The Screams was to cover his crate. Same exact problem, not scared of the crate no separation anxiety just massive FOMO. The combination of being able to see the stuff he was missing angered him beyond belief.
unfortunately with the baby monitor I have set up I can personally attest to the fact that Kep will have The Screams even when the crate is totally covered 🥲

6, 9, and 18 for Ellie! C:
Hey you!!! 💛 sending a big hug in your direction ;u;
Rook Questionnaire
6: What companion are they platonically close with?
Tumblr media
Oh, Emmrich, by all means! They're like colleagues from different departments sharing coffee as they gossip about things happening at their workplace. The vibe is, and I quote myself lol; "For Ellie, Emmrich is like that one professor that encouraged you back at uni and then you meet them after graduation and just develop a super polite and respectful friendship in which you're informally formal because the sense of reverence / gratitude towards them still lingers". And I'm glad that in the localized version of the game a formal pronoun (second person plural) is used, because it accentuates this vibe <3
Besides, Ellie is so nostalgic and having him around and being able to absorb not only a great deal of knowledge but also news from a place he's missing and yearning. His presence helps him cope with the tasks ahead of him.
...also they both come from a similar background and possess a certain disdain towards the upper class so picture their interactions as a tangent that starts from "union meeting" goes through "the social ladder favors only the higher classes who created a false sense of meritocracy that pushes the lowest classes to work under terrible conditions to gain positions that are crafted specifically to exclude them" and ends in "a good noble is a dead noble" <<'
9: Does your Rook get along with their chosen Faction?
They're family to him, and just like family, things can be complicated.
At first he felt like the Watchers had betrayed him, because they didn't stand for him after the whole Van Markham situation. His family hurt him rather than supporting him, and for political reasons nontheless! You can't cast away family just because they go against some nobles' interests.
However, after some time outside Nevarra he realized that he wasn't the only one left with wounds. Diplomacy is one of the hardest skills he'd ever learn, and never fully got the hang of it. His family of death nerds couldn't stand a chance against nevarran nobility.
The confirmation of his realization arrived when he met Myrna at the Lighthouse where she told him that a Watcher never really leaves, even if they're elsewhere. There he felt relief for the first time after months.
So yeah, when he got back home he just barked at his colleagues, then hugged every single one of them - who reciprocated enthusiastically <3
18: What would your Rook be doing if they weren't recruited by Varric?
Already replied here
Adding that he would totally have a nemesis, a tormented love story with the ghost of his first crush, and an orlesian patron that doesn't pay him enough for whatever he's putting him through. All in technicolor of course

So, let's talk karma. You are trapped. So is everybody else. Mind follows the soul in endless rebirth. However, this is not the sole consequence of this situation. Using the resonance built up when living, the separating soul also imprints an echo of its memory into its alternate self, pushing them back in their enlightenment. (One can even induce this phenomenon to gain passage to the alternate worldlines at its peak.) This resonance can be reinforced by sufficient experiences or practices, and decayed by straying away from the other selves - thus, some may never awaken from the dream to try again (though they would still wake up, albeit in a different body), and some may yet be so tenacious as to claw back to reality even from the void. Though, to be fair to the latter, unless they actually will themselves to return, they are stuck in a half-realized state that, while capable of reinforcing the resonance of other beings, is in itself frayed, unable to meaningfully interact with the material world. "Speaking" in this form is more like intertwining their being with the other's - rather enlightening, but always brief, pushing away as soon as possible, temporarily breaking their superposition with the affected worldline. And when immersed in the void, the one affected escapes the confines of reality, and is crossed out from the endless cycle in this tightly shut box. The more resonance, the more karma, the more of their self escapes. Unless, of course, they don't actually want to die.

As a queer, low-medium support needs autistic, and enby leftist, I empathize and sympathize fully with all of you. I've had issues with these people as well, and honestly, they were some of the meanest and cruelest people in high school, probably on the same level as the bigoted hicks, all the while turning right around and saying how progressive they are. I promise anyone who's still in grade school with the performative "leftists" that it does not end up like this in university or college. The leftists in college are actually leftists, and are super understanding of neurodiversity and higher support needs disabilities, at least on my campus. Especially the case with the poli sci kids, we all have a touch of the 'tism, or ADHD, or any other neurodiverse stuff and we even have stim toys in our university department lounge and call out people on ableism and other bigotries. Ableism spans across all identities, and can be compared to some trans people that can still be TERFS, so neurodivergent and disabled people can still be ableist, no one is above ableism, and no one is above transphobia. The best thing to do with these people is not associate and ignore them.
im so fucking serious when i say that no one is crueler to visibly disabled people than girlies with blue wolfcuts and sharp eyeliner wearing hundred dollar sweaters from shein.
