This picture broke my heart open wide.

First of all, as a mother, I could not even imagine that kind of loss. Our children are supposed to bury us, not the other way around. I just couldn't imagine. 💔

However, the design of this tombstone perfectly illustrates why I think any of us eventually reach the acceptance stage in our grief because the loved ones we lost, as the picture states, are free of earthy burdens. No more disease, no more pain, be it physical, financial, mental, or emotional.

Of course, many of us would change the reality if we could. Or at least, many of us would have one last moment with the dearly departed. But may this offer us some much needed comfort. While we mourn their loss, they are watching over us, forever free of earthly troubles and woes.

I still miss the ones I lost, the ones I believe are still supposed to be here but it helps to know they fly and soar above it all. More thoughts later.

Pretty Fun Coincidence!!

In 2023 the game Goodbye Volcano High came out, about dinosaur high schoolers. One of the characters is a fan of a dino-anime called "Pretty Heroes", a homage to the Pretty Cure series (also known as PreCure).

They are seen mostly as merchandise in the background, but the game's art director has the design sheets on her website and ArtStation (including an unused animatic for a transformation sequence).

In her artstation, she confirms the yellow pterodactyl hero is a boy:

2023 was ALSO the year of the PreCure show Hirogaru Sky! Pretty Cure, wich ALSO included a boy hero!! Yuunagi Tsubasa, also known as Cure Wing!!

I like to think they would be friends and fly around together!
