rating regulus black ships!!

jegulus | 11/10 - i love them so much. when i rejoined the fandom in 2022 and saw how the ship had blown up in the years id been gone i was really confused, but then i read just lovers and was immediately convinced lmao. they are the epitome of sunshine x grumpy and i adore them both

bartylus | 5/10 - theyre not very compelling to me, but theyre not bad by any means. i think they work better as friends but i understand why people ship them. i just prefer other ships personally, but ive read many great fics with them too!

He blinks, his breathing stiff and the line between feeling as calm as a Cokeworth boy can be to wanting to hide in the nearest quiet closet looms in between his skeleton and the subtle beating of his heart. "They would never expel Potter, he's got a whole battalion on his side."

"So do you Severus."

The boy looks at him expectantly, his hands still firmly placed and the curl on his forehead twirling to obscure the visible scar Regulus wears near his left eyebrow. An expression of mercy on his hair's part, Severus always feels guilty laying his eyes on it.

"No one is on my side Regulus, what are you playing at?"

"I just mean it would take a thousand Potters to outsmart you." Regulus moves in search through his jacket pockets. "Mum will be home soon, let's head out."

Severus hops off his place on the rickety old stool, almost on command. His feet don't reach the floor from up there, and he's glad no one ever comments on it.

"Does it hurt..to smoke?" His hands rest in the pockets of his sweater, the edges of its stitching frayed and full of holes. It's hardly sweater season yet, but Severus doesn't like when people can see his arms. And the pockets, he likes those a fair amount. They walk at a steady pace, leaving the grounds of Number 12 Grimmauld Place behind.

Regulus shoves his newly retrieved cigarette between his teeth, his perfect set of front teeth, and sets the end aflame with a careful cup of his other hand. Taking a drag, his eyes close and for a moment Severus wonders if he shouldn't be so curious. Wonders if this is a fork in the road the future him would madly scold him for.

Regulus balances his cig between his index and center. "Nah, not really."

A dense cloud escapes from his lips and rises up, disappearing into the monotone atmosphere above. It smells like it always does, bitter and strong enough to make you wanna plunge into the nearest shore just to get away from it.

But Severus doesn't run, and his eyes stay fixated on the schoolmate he's somehow managed to get along well enough to be friends with. That might kill him someday.

"Do you wanna try it?"

His heart doesn't skip a beat.

"Yes." He frees his left hand, then stuffs it right back in his pocket. Too eager. When Regulus offers him the same cigarette that had just vacated his mouth, Severus appears hesitant, and for the first time in months an odd sense of dread tears its claws into the very back of his mind. "Hold on, same one?"

"Yeah? Why not. You a germaphobe or something Sev?"

The words bounce right off him. He doesn't feel particularly strong about germs in either direction, no and it isn't like they haven't shared snacks before, or even taken sips from the same water bottle. But his mind twists and his stomach feels sick and for once in his life Severus isn't in any danger yet thinks he's looking death straight in the eyes. Petrified.

"Fire's dying." Regulus hits it again, his eyes watching Severus closely. He doesn't like the way Regulus always looks him in the eye, too near and too close and it'd take a million Regulus Blacks to get any of this out of his head. Sometimes he wonders if it's on purpose, what's his aim in all of this?

Severus makes up his mind in the same second that his friend tries to offer him the cig again, can't be too cowardice. Doesn't matter his reason, doesn't matter the fear. He tentatively holds it between his fingers and repeats the action of guiding it to his lips.

It tastes awful. Like dirt and the corroded, burnt bits of whatever got thrown into the brazier for last night's supper. Inhaling is much, much worse.

Resisting the urge to drop it on the ground, Severus hands it back and his whole body convulses into a fit of heavy coughs. His hands shake and it feels like his chest is on fire.

"Did-" he coughs a few more times. "Did you fucking jinx it?"

Regulus can't contain his amusement whatsoever, the way his giggling turns to a couple snorts and he totally drops the cigarette without even realizing. Severus looks about ready to hex the guy himself before he's met with a water bottle shoved in his face, cap already slightly unscrewed just for him.

"I didn't do shit to it Sev, you just aren't used to it."

He'd be more inclined to believe him if he didn't think his lungs were crawling with fire ants right about now. Clinging to the bottle like it was his saving grace, Severus gulps down three quarters of it without stopping. Ebbing the pain away into a subtle discomfort.

"I thought you said it didn't hurt." He wipes his mouth with the back of his sleeve and coughs again.

"I forgot you're...."

"Forgot i'm what? You did that on purpose and you know it, Black."

"Hey... hey okay maybe I knew that would happen—" Severus' eyes are glaring and narrow as nervous-to-pick-up-the-pieces words fumble out of the boy's mouth, hands raised in mock defense. "But I didn't jinx anything. That happens to everyone- it's normal!"

The betrayed Slytherin stamps the sole of his shoe on the last bits of life the stick of death had left, all embers burnt out and their fuel crushed to dust. "You're very lucky that I'm generally a fan of you."

Wind picks up and brings both of their hair to reposition around their faces, Severus brushes his back into place and Regular doesn't move a muscle. That godforsaken scar stares its dark eyes back at him, 2 dots amongst the general blob-ish shape. Taunting him, making him wish to repent.

"I didn't like it."

"Clearly.. It's okay, you would've transformed my head into a pincushion if it wasn't taking effect. Feel any better?"

He takes a second to assess it all, the way his head feels and the dissipating burn in his chest and the odd sense of anxiety that'd come over him. Maybe it's the latter half that makes him so queasy, everything feels like sandpaper on his skin and there's nothing he can do that would land him in better shape. i love them, though i havent given them much thought as i have with other james & evan ships, theyre still adorable,

heres kinda the way i see them? idk how to explain it so this is kinda in a monologue type format:

Evan isn’t entirely used to people being that gentle and nice with him. He’s not used to kindness in general. He’s the Rosier heir for merlins sake, why would he? He’s seen as intimidating, since being a part of a fairly renowned pureblood family makes him. He doesn’t particularly try to change how people see him either.

Not because hes overly confident or that it’s correct, but because Evan is too tired to try with any of it. He doesn’t want to interact with anyone else anyway, he’s fine with being somewhat of a sidekick to either Regulus or Barty’s antics. He knows that he’s never seen as “Evan” but as “The Rosier’s Son” or “Crouch and Black’s Friend.” He’s aware that given how loud and big Barty is, and how well known and smart Regulus is that he won’t ever get the spotlight for himself, and honestly he doesn’t care about that all much. He’s fine with not being his own person. He holds no resentment for his friends because of this, he’s happy to step aside and watch them instead of getting involved. He isn’t used to getting help or kindness offered to him, he isn’t used to getting love without repercussions.

James isn’t used to being seen as more than a perpetual force of positivity. He’s not used to people noticing when he’s down, because he uses his postivity as a shield. If he ignores the feelings they’ll go away.

Because James wants to help all of his friends with their problems, he needs to help them and support them. Sometimes this means disregarding his own wellbeing and James is fine with that, he’s fine not getting any of this attention reciprocated. Because he doesn’t have it as bad as the others, who have their issues and their anxieties. Remus with being a werewolf, Sirius with his family, Peter with his worries…everyone else. They all have problems that James can help with and he gladly will. He will gladly be an anchor for everyone he knows. Maybe it feels tolling sometimes, and maybe he wishes everyone would see that he’s being effected, maybe even his parents…but James knows that it’s because he doesn’t let them see it, and then he remembers why he does it and the thoughts stop.

Maybe these are the reasons why Evan Rosier was so surprised by James Potter offering to help him find a book in the library, and why James started to wave to him him in the halls. Maybe all of this is why James was so shocked by Evan checking up on him, by him noticing the things that James is scared of. James finally feels like he can lay himself out to someone and they’ll accept him, and Evan finally feels like he’s his own person, like he’s noticeable and worthy of being noticied. Maybe this is why everything started to work out for them, because they had eachother.

honestly this is making me want to write more of them… but this is what ive got! i hope that was understandable. ive recently been really intrigued by Evans character, ive been writing a moonrose fic thats evan centric (and pretty angsty) so its been helping me understand him a bit more, if that makes sense??

A comprehensive reason as to why I, as a teenage girl, think the marauders fandom is heaven on earth. (+ a few faults)

In simple terms, its a pit of representation. The characters, even the ones mentioned more than just a name drop, have very little known information about them. Like yes, we know remus lupin marries tonks and we know james marries lily, but besides that? They were teenagers at hogwarts, its fun to play around with the dynamics of them.

And its also a passion project. The marauders is by no means an actual thing. Sure, theyre side characters in hp. But the marauders fandom is created solely on headcanons and fanon info. Its almost like if i were to pull finnick and annie from thg and develop them with such depth that it contextualises things that couldve been explained better in the actual books.

And not only that, but it shows creativity. Its like weve all taken these characters, aged them down to make them more relatable, and projected our own teenage experiences onto them in a way that jk could never as she wrote them as an adult and likely has never experienced the struggles of the lgbtq teens nowadays

The lgbtq is also a good point to bring up. Nowhere anywhere else on the internet will you find a fandom so full of lgbtq characters solely bc 'it doesnt sell'. The marauders is a prime example of how marketing realistic teenagers to teenagers is not unprofitable.

Mental health is also a big thing that needs to be explored more in media. And not as the main plot, but as something that just exists. Its done well in the marauders fandom.

Usually when watching a show or reading a book, you think these characters arent that realistic. In their world, sure. But its hard to relate to characters who link nothing to you. The marauders, though wizards, are teenagers in school. They are relatable.

Also the ability to create everything out of nothing. I adore pandora rosier and regulus black but in canon they are never even shown in the movies besides reg.

The poc inclusivity, the non skinny inclusivity, etc etc.

However! There are issues.

The marauders fandom is primarily girls, yet this fandom is an excellent example of the preference that male characters get. Like, i love regulus. But pray tell why jegulus gets more hype than pretty much any wlw ships combined? And why do i see so much of lily being a surrogate or her dying and james and reg getting harry? If youre gonna cut lily out of james life for him to be w reg, atleast find another way for them to have a kid. Lily is more than her uterus and a plot device for a kid.

And theres also sm arguments over headcanons. Like, if i were to say i hc james potter as straight, i would get attacked in todays fandom. It just gets a bit strange sometimes when people disregard canon at all. I get the seperation of canon from fanon is definitely inevitable in this fandom, but i dislike when people push their hcs as canon when its literally contradicted by canon.

I love the marauders fandom i do, and i love the way the characters are developed enough to be interesting to everyone, and not just babied down enough to be advertised to kids. Theres so much you can do when you dont have to worry about pr.

Had a jegulily soulmate au rattling around in my head for a while.

I don't usually like the way soulmate aus remove character choice from relationships so to offset this: 1) not everyone has a soulmate and the world isnt structured around them, 2) soulmates are not necessarily romantic so you still need to work out for yourself how this person will fit into your life.

For the soulmate connection, a psychic bond: feeling each others emotions and with enough focus/practice full on telepathy.

So, Lily and Regulus are soulmates, and separately James and Sirius are soulmates.

Sirius and James immediately decide they must be platonic soulmates because theyre both boys. When they each start realising they aren't straight they doubt this, but ultimately conclude they were right, just for the wrong reason. Idk if I'd have Sirius hiding his emotions from James or using the bond to vent, but theyd definitely be obsessed with the telepathy as soon as they could do it.

Lily and Regulus is much more complicated. I tend to write Regulus as someone very committed to his family, especially seeing it as the centre of genuine love in his life, but this might be more flexible in a soulmate au if he knows he has a soulmate out there. I think he's also likely to assume its a platonic bond when he finds out who its with, partly because he assumes he's gay, partly because he cant marry a muggleborn but it might be acceptable to have someone of lower blood status around as a friend (like Lucius does with Snape). He'll probably be conflicted between seeing the bond as predestined and perfect, and wanting to close himself off from it to avoid his family being upset.

Lily might not like predestination - but on the other hand she loves fantastical magical stuff, so her feeling towards soulmates might be jumbled. Once theyve got through the initial barriers though she does really like Reg. It being 'platonic' eases her issues with predestination and choice, but she gets romantic feelings early and maybe theres some angst over that not being reciprocal. And theres always the long road of deprogramming as an interpersonal issue for her and Reg, she'd probably get tired with him at times, though the connection between them should speed it up for him.

James's inclusion is then not about the soulmate bond but wholly personal choice. He's been interested in Lily (seeing as both of their soulmates are supposedly platonic), Reg has been interested in him, eventually theyre all interested in each other. (Seeing how Reg's hatred for, jealousy of, and huge crush on James affect Lily who can feel it all would probably be funny.)

Its kinda focused on parsing out different kinds of love and what different bonds mean to different people.

hello! sorry this took me so long i went to answer you and then completely forgot to post it. also i may over/under explain things, idk how much of the series you know so sorry about that.

also this is really long, theres a tldr at the end if you want

basically in the books theyre mainly only mentioned through Snape's eyes (and snape is a racist terrorist who created torture spells - dont listen to snape stans they havent read the books) so the marauders are presented as "bullies" that used to hex people for fun.

ill admit, james potter (harrys dad) wasnt a great guy when he was younger and did take it out on snape a bit, but we're only really given the worst bits, and obviously snapes memory will have exaggerated it a bit.

the marauders were james potter, sirius black (harrys godfather), remus lupin (harrys 3rd year defence against the dark arts professor) and peter pettigrew (a traitor prick).

Voldemort (aka Tom Riddle) leads the Death Eaters, a terrorist group based around blood supremacy (hating wizards that have non-magical/muggle family members, especially parents, and arent 'pureblood' wizards), and the marauders and their friends joined the original Order of the Phoenix, lead by Dumbledore (hogwarts headmaster) against the death eaters in the first Wizarding War. Snape was a death eater, but later joined the Order as a spy for Dumbledore.

Regulus Black, Sirius' younger brother, gave up his life to help take down Voldemort, by stealing one of his horcruxes (an item that contained part of voldemorts soul, keeping him immortal) and as a fandom, we generally bloody love reg.

**this is where the spoilers start**

Peter Pettigrew, who was Wormtail in the Marauders due to his animagus (animal you can turn in to) being a rat, was part of the Order but also secretly was working as a Death Eater spy for Voldemort. As a fandom, we generally hate the bastard and wish he died sooner.

There was a prophecy made about Voldemorts death, that seemed like it was about James' son Harry. so James, Harry, and harrys mum Lily went into hiding to protect themselves.

(its worth mentioning that Lily was muggleborn - her parents werent magic - and snape had ended their 'friendship' while they were attending hogwarts by joining the death eaters, terrorising other muggleborns and then calling lily a slur. he claimed that he loved her and its supposed to be his turning point that he reveals he was secretly good bc he loved lily, but he didnt he was creepily obsessed with her. again, dont listen to the Snape stans)

lily and james made pettigrew their secret keeper, meaning peter was the only person who could tell people where they were, and peter told voldemort

voldy then came to their house, killed james and then asked lily to move out of his way (Snape had made him promise not to kill her, snape didnt give a fuck about james or harry though). lily didnt move, and sacrificed herself to protect her son. this act meant that when voldy tried to kill harry, the spell backfired, killing voldy instead of harry, and accidentally created another horcrux inside of harry. harry had a piece of voldemorts soul inside of him.

anyways harry goes to live with lily's sister and her family, and theyre incredibly abusive, and then the first book starts when harry is 11 and gets accepted into hogwarts, finding out that he's a wizard and all of the horrid shit that happened to his parents. snape hates him because harry looks exactly like james did and reminds him of lily.

tldr; we mainly see the marauders through the eyes of the terrorist group that they fought, so they look like 'bullies' but actually snape was a prick. the fandom is composed of people who know this, and most of the canon isnt relevant to us.

anyway its one of my favourite things in my google docs. some fun facts about it:

•barty & evan BOTH already like each other. evan also knows barty likes him back but thinks hes too much of a coward to say anything and his first thought is “okay, i’ll fake date somebody about this”

•oh and also regulus is just like “i mean alright i guess”

•regulus tells barty immediately. hes like “honest to god get your shit together” and barty is like “literally why would you do this” and regulus is like “i thought it would be funny”:

•qpr. thats all i need to say. as a member of a qpr it is one of my all time favourite relationships in my life and i think not enough people write them. i ALSO think not enough people write aro characters as capable of emotion!! 90% of the time (in my experience!!) theyre just aro because the author couldnt think of a pairing for them and they felt bad. so anyway i changed that for this fic. and also in like… 3 other fics in my drafts. i love being in a qpr im in a qpr hey did i mention im in a qpr this post goes out to my beloved partner even though they will never see it

•sirius. sirius. sirius. i dont know WHAT it is about the black brothers but every single time i write ANY fic with either of them in they end up talking to each other. i cant stop them. im just writing and they say “we want to reconcile” and i say “that wasnt one of my plot points…?” but its too late! theyre already talking!

•regulus being SUPREMELY confused when he realises he likes evan <3 with the focus on the fact that he can still like him without it being romantic!! he has no idea what a qpr is but he’ll get there

•regulus GOES TO SIRIUS FOR HELP!! and sirius is like “ok i will help you” and regulus is like “what why” and sirius is like “do you want help or not tbh”

•but also regulus is like “ok so i have a fake boyfriend” and sirius is like “you fucking what”:

•the segment with sirius features a LOT of complaints from regulus (that part is his pov! it changes throughout between barty, reg & evan though) about the red of the gryffindor dorms. he is so upset by them:

•barty immediately notices when regulus accidentally catches feelings. hes like “…you thought this would be funny but it went like normal fake dating didnt it” and regulus gives him a very sad looking nod and says “i wont stop you dating him i still dont know what it is” and barty is like “getting over evan is too much work and id know, if he wants us both he can bloody well just have us both”

•spoiler alert for the fact that he does <3

-anyway. not much of this is written but i just wanted to talk about it! my dear best friend and the platonic loml is anti reg/evan (she could never get me) so… tumblr has to hear about it instead!

Ok. This series is my ATYD. Maybe that’s controversial, but its the truth. Nothing Left is a series that chronicles the marauders years at hogwarts complete with a prologue, and a few epilogues after the main series. The final word count clocks in at 808,811 words. For reference, atyd is 526,969 words. So it’s definitely really freaking long.

Now -the characters

The core four marauders are there obviously, but Lily, Regulus, the girls, Effie and Fleamont, as well as some OCs are all major players in this fic. It is not solely the four marauders.

It’s important to note that in fics, that are long and chronicle the marauders at Hogwarts, sometimes they can fall into the trap of isolation. As in, marauders interactions with others outside the circle are limited/nil and or when they do interact with others or explore other friendships, theyre all together. Thats not the case here. James, Sirius, Peter, and Remus ARE quite codependent (sirius and james are the definition of co dependent lmao) but they are friends with other people and have different dynamics and personal struggles. They exist outside of each other is what im getting at.

I couldn’t begin to fully summarize all of the friendship dynamics in this fic because they’re so big and fleshed out but id like to highlight a few that i especially liked :

Lily and Remus. Remus is the first marauder that Lily warms up to, and the first she befriends. She tells him she loves him, and goes to bat against everyone, even Snape, for him. Snape is perhaps Lily’s biggest foil in-terms of relationships, and the fact that from the BEGINNING she threatened to hurt and even kill Severus if he hurt Remus, to me says alot. Lily and Remus are platonic soulmates. They confide in each other, challenge each other, and love and trust each other. I love their friendship in this fic

James and Sirius. OBVIOUSLY! They are insane. When i say they bring out the worst in each other i mean it. They both make the other more insane. But they couldn’t live without one another and its clear from the moment they met. Sirius and James are complicated. They kiss and sleep in each others beds, and at times it seems like they want to crawl into one another’s skin. They are the definition of co dependent. They have ups and downs and after the prank, they both fell apart. James was beyond furious at Sirius and stayed that way for months even after Remus had forgiven him. It tore them up, and they both fell into a deep depression and identity crisis with out the other and it was really heartbreaking to read. I love them tho.

Eli Wood and James. Idk if eli is canon? Either way. Eli is the first quidditch captain that James has at Hogwarts. And in alot of ways Eli serves as the backbone of James’s character. James absolutely worships Eli from the moment they meet. And after he graduates, Ei becomes an Auror. With James’s mom and dad working in and with the DMLE james happens to be there after a raid by the aurors gone wrong. James watches Eli’s dead body collapse on the floor of st mungos after being apparated back. This is the moment that shapes him. James carries Elis memory with him into adulthood, and never quite gets over him romantically. Eli is the raw side of James’s bleeding heart and i think it was beautiful.

Ok i have to talk about Lily. This lily is not canon lily and thats what i love about her. From day one, with her massive ginger curls, Lily is a spitfire. She values friendship and trust and loyalty, which is why she stays with Severus for so long. Lily is loud and academic and a bit of a bitch but shes 11 when we meet her. Who isnt a prick at 11 years old?? Lily is naturally wound so tight that its only when she starts to Really hang out with the marauders, do her walls come down and she relaxes. Lily deals woth so much blood purity racism, and i loved reading her struggle with it, as she tries to decide between forgiveness or revenge, kindness or remembering the crime. Her Arc with Snape is huge and involves blood racism.

This Lily likes crystals and fags (this word is used ALOT for cigarettes, like so much) and the beatles, and she is NOT James potters little wife and she is not something to be fought over. She gets tattoos and does coke with Sirius, and fights bullies and absolutely drags James Potter over the rocks. And i love her.

Ok this is getting really long so a bulleted list of things i liked!

- James and Professor McG. She cares for him like a second mother and i teared up reading them

- Remus and the big bad lycanthropy. Remus struggles alot in this fic, and theres alot of aspects to it but i will say i appreciated how the author included him using a crutch and having limited mobility. I thought that was very realistic.

- effie and fleamont. They were very 3 dimensional and their love for James and Sirius was tangible. I sobbed when they died. I liked how James had his struggles with them and they weren’t just plot perfect parents. They struggled but they TRIED. They loved much and were loved much

Regulus. He is an older sister in a 15 year olds body. The trauma he endures is crazy. Not only does he get punished (tortured) by his parents, Sirius does as well, and Sirius begs him to take away his memory, so now regulus carries the burden alone. His whole arc was heartbreaking but it came around on the end.

Ok im done for now. This was a massive fic and i wish i knew who the author was. But i highly recommend it.

Absolutians, a review and some predictions

Rewatched the entire UGF3 another 2 more times and I must say, my respect for Tartarus soared my goodness, dude was literally the hardest carry that no one deserves jesus

But I don't really get why everyone is saying that Diablo is weak like we need to look at his matchups, dude was going against Regulus and the Leo Brothers

Tho I suppose he's meant to be sort of a punching bag since he has 5 lives to sort of allow the Ultras to "avenge" their fallen comrades by essentially killing him a couple more times before peace can be achieved as what Yullian told Regulus to not fight with hatred. Which means he's probably gonna get killed another 3 times somehow in UGF4 (and maybe in Decker), leaving him with 1 more life

In addition, with the Eternity Core now actively in Tartarus and Diablo's sights, theyre probably gonna get new forms to match the increasing power scaling

Titan as pointed out in earlier related posts, along with Ribut are essentially gonna be the poster boys for Absolutian-Ultra relations, and with Noa appearing to them, theyre probably gonna get new forms. Tho I wonder for Titan if hes still gonna have a form from the Eternity Core or will he already have defaulted from The Kingdom by then?

Speaking of which, unsurisingly, everyone noted that the 4th Absolutian didnt make an appearance in UGF3. And depending on when UGF4 respective to Decker, she might show up in the series to start actively trying to extract the Eternity Core

As for the famed Absolutian Lord, after rewatching the dialogue about him from Tartarus, I actually mightve figured out something. Specficially on how Tartarus kept monologing that he had to have the LoL BEFORE the Lord awakens. Which might imply that there might be some sort of punishment that awaits Tartarus if he fails to do so, and to King, he said that the Lord will guide them as well

In addition, we know that The Kingdom planet is on the verge of exploding due to their poeer source going out of control. So I suspect here is that the Lord's awakening and the planet exploding are actually linked. What im saying is what if the power source of the entire Kingdom planet was from the Absolutian Lord alone, which in his stasis, passively radiated Cascade rays which the Absolutians were channeling, and that the Cascade Rays' emission frequency going out of control were literally because the Lord was awakening soon?

Did perhaps the Absolutian Lord just went into stasis who knows how long ago in the middle of space for whatever reason (maybe he ran out of energy like Noa and decided to be in stasis) as over billions of years, space debris formed around him which basically snowballed into a planet which the initially Absolutians then evolved over time and then in accordance to the Lord's stasis patterns, started to emit Cascade rays one day and mutated all Absolutians then into what we see them now?

Cause if we're running with this intepretation, when the Absolutian Lord awakens, he'll literally have 0 concern for the existing Absolutians since as far as he is concerned with, he may view the Absolutians as just dust that collected over his body as he was resting

And with that, the Absolutian Lord may be the reason that the Absolutians and the Ultras would have to work together to defeat since theyre hyping him up to be on par with a Legendary Ultra which so far, only King seems to be taking an active role in standing against the Absolutians

Cause it seems that Noa's role seems to be relegated to at most granting Titan and Ribut a new form in UGF4 while Legend seems insistent to fight as Justice and Cosmos, but of course, people have speculating that the endgame fight might be similar to the original draft of Saga, whereby Saga was actually a fusion of Legend, Mebius Inifinity etc against Dark Lucifer. So perhaps we might just see the Lord taking on all the Legendary ultras with the high tier fusions Mebius Infinity and Reiga as well as the Eternity Core empowered Absolutians

(Ngl i dont dare say at this point that there might be a possibility of a fusion consisting of even Legendary Ultras like the original draft)

Tho I still hope that the Lord survives this somehow to be an actual guide to the Absolutians

Overall, this whole meta saga is definitely something to look forward to

So @mdeenise “challenged” me to answer all of the questions from this Hogwarts Mystery Asks: MC. I’ve already answered some (can check ‘asks’ or ‘ask game’ tags, I’ll also link them in my Masterlist) so I’ll answer the rest I haven’t been asked yet here because

1. What is their whole name? 

Nereida Adelyn-Keira LaFontaine Black

5. How is there relationship with Jacob?

Keira and Jacob were very close - it was them against the world! They’re very protective of one another, they can get/have gotten into a lot of trouble together, both with a rebellious, mischievous streak; but they are also siblings so there’s teasing, embarrassing each other, lots of physical ‘play fighting’ - they’re very much like I can be mean to my sibling but if you’re mean to them I’ll hurt you. Clearly when he ‘disappeared’ it was devastating for Keira and she felt completely alone. 

6. How is their relationship with their parents?

Both Keira and Jacob loved their mom who was their primary caregiver. Keira honestly doesn’t really remember her dad much but Jacob hates him. She has a vague recollection of him and Regulus and Sirius, a bit better memory of Sirius who kept in contact with her and Jacob even after they moved to Canada, possibly to spite his parents but Keira thinks he actually cares about his younger half-siblings even if it was something that started out from spite or curiosity. 

When their mom died of course Jacob and Keira were very sad over their loss. They were then taken in by their mom’s close friends and moved to Canada from Ireland and while there was an adjustment period they both appreciate the care they provided, and while Jacob and Keira didn’t exactly feel like they belong in this ‘family’ their mom’s friends were great parental figures and they do care about them and appreciate everything they’ve done for them. Their dad was nonexistent in their lives after the passing of their mom (he passed soon after the next year, after the death of Regulus) but when they arrived in the UK to attend Hogwarts they did find savings left for them from their dad in Gringotts (safe to assume without his wife’s knowledge). 

So both love their mom and ‘adopted’ parents (unofficially adopted =p) and while Jacob hates their dad and views him as a manipulative, selfish, neglectful arse, Keira is pretty neutral and apathetic about her dad since she doesn’t really remember him all that well. But she appreciates the money! =p 

8. How’s their relationship with their family?

Ahahahahahaha - I’m cackling =p

Unfortunately, the family on Keira and Jacob’s mom’s side are all pretty much passed or they have no idea who they are =p Their mom and mom’s parents are passed and their mom had no siblings since her mom died relatively soon after her birth (undines...) As stated before, Jacob and Keira appreciate and care very much for their mom’s friends who took them in after her passing, although a bit of awkwardness since it’s not ‘really’ their family...

As for the Black side of their family *more cackling* Orion seemed much more interested in their mom than them and didn’t seem to want much to do with them, at least according to Jacob. Walburga hates them and this whole situation, of course! With good reason! She honestly probably would of had them killed. She focused most of her energy on ensuring this scandal did not get out into the public and was probably very relieved when they moved across the pond. Of course when Jacob returned to attend Hogwarts he was done living this lie and didn’t care who it upset and went by his Black family name, encouraging his sister to do the same - this family would not win! Walburga could try to deny it all she wanted but a paternity test (which I’ve done some research on Wizarding World paternity tests and some interesting ideas came up!) just proved it.

Despite this, Walburga and the rest of the Black family continued to ignore their entire existence. Andromeda may have been left out of the loop considering she was disowned from the family as well but when Keira and Tonks realized they were both related to Bellatrix Lestrange, and therefore related themselves, Keira was so happy to be accepted by some members of the Black family. Sirius also was accepting of his younger half-siblings and stayed in contact with them even after they moved to Canada. He may have only gone to see them at first out of curiosity and then continued to visit and communicate with them out of spite to his parents but he probably did care about them and enjoyed them more than Regulus because they weren’t brought up in a pureblood elitist household. Probably wished their mom was his mom which would just upset Walburga. And if Walburga didn’t hate them before, after she passed, Keira, now more spiteful and daring with everything that has happened, moved into the now empty (well except for Kreacher) 12 Grimmauld Place which would just piss Walburga off! How she convinced Remus, no idea - basically she was like I’m doing this and Remus had to go along with it =p

Wait, is Kreacher family? Keira and Kreacher argue a lot and she will not stand for him being mean to Remus or any of her friends and will threaten to kick him out although it’s an empty threat because she wouldn’t actually kick him out and make him homeless! Kreacher of course thinks she’s invading some place that does not belong to her but because she is a Black she sort of does belong there and while not related to his previous Walburga, she is to Orion so he has to put up with her =p They eventually reach an understanding. Kreacher is free to stay there and does not have to do any chores or cleaning up after her or Remus, as long as he’s nice... or just stays away from her friends and Remus. 

I’m not sure how Regulus felt about them, maybe neutral? I think discovering his dad’s affair would be a shock to him, he might be curious as well to meet them and I like to think did meet them at least once, possibly while their mom was passing (like Orion went to see her and Sirius and Regulus decided to go as well because, hey, it is their younger siblings whether they like it or not and it’s a hard thing to go through) but I think he was more worried and concerned about Death Eater affairs and tricking Voldemort =p

So while Keira is close with Tonks, and probably her parents as well, and both Keira and Jacob are accepted by Sirius, and maybe even Regulus, who knows =p, most of the Black family still pretends they don’t exist. Although I like to think Keira later bonds with Draco and they become close and overall these next generations are going to be better. And while Bellatrix may refuse to acknowledge Keira’s relationship to her, deep down she actually really likes Keira because she’s a strong, tough bitch who isn’t afraid of her and would have killed Dumbledore without even being a Death Eater if asked =p Seriously, Keira knows she’s actually Bella’s favorite. 

(This also pretty much works for my original HP OC bio where she was Sirius’ daughter because besides Tonks, Andromeda, and Ted, the rest of the Black family wouldn’t really acknowledge her existence either)

Does Remus count as family? Of course he does, he’s “Uncle Remus!” =p Remus and Keira had an instant bond, they are incredibly close - I like to think of it as two people who felt completely alone in the world found each other and now they were not longer alone. Keira is very much like Sirius, and Jacob can be very much like James actually, so it was actually nice for Remus to be around them if not bittersweet. I actually have a post about Keira and Remus’ relationship so I won’t say too much more besides they are very close and Keira is suuuuper protective over him.

11. Do they have pets?

Keira has a Siamese cat and Jacob had a Barred Owl named Archimedes which I guess is hers now too? Jacob also wanted a dog or crup but then went to school so their ‘adoptive’ parents are taking care of it =p

14. Any crushes?

Charlie Weasley.

She won’t outright admit it but it’s obvious to everyone else besides Charlie. Wasn’t even aware of it herself for quite awhile! =p But fortunately she plays it pretty cool and isn’t a stuttering mess around him so maybe he has no idea she likes him because she’s so chill and nonchalant about it. Although she can be flirtatious but she can be like that with a lot of people =p (She’s related to Sirius she can’t help it! =p)

16. Have they ever dated someone before (Either back at their home or at Hogwarts)?

Rumour has it during her summer before Sixth Year, where she spent most of it in Canada, and going into Sixth Year she was dating someone. Has not been confirmed nor denied. 😜
