Hey umm...
do you ship whouffaldi?
just a general question i like to ask...
Oh, I don't mind questions.
Personally, I view 12 and Clara as an extremely codependent, increasingly toxic friendship. Toxic as in destructive, not abusive. 12 and Clara being together in the TARDIS was acidic. And those are some of the most painful relationships. When you love each other so much and you never want to leave the other, but you have to. You have to say goodbye because you're corrosive. You're hurting each other. And as much as you try, you don't know how to stop being corrosive.
I think this take on what would happen if the Doctor/Companion dynamic morphed into something twisted was beautifully written and honestly, executed to perfection. Season 9 is probably my favorite season.
And I really enjoy the comments Moffat made on that being the reason the TARDIS didn't like Clara at first (which implies he had been considering this ending for Clara from the beginning):
“The TARDIS, being aware of all time simultaneously, was also aware that Clara was the precise motivator that would drive the Doctor to an extreme that was dangerous for all time and space.”
“[The TARDIS] knew, that although the Doctor loved her very much, she was bad for him and that the coming of the Hybrid would be the result of their association.” (DWM, I think Issue 502?? Not sure.)
[Side note: This makes me wonder if the TARDIS intentionally crash landed in Amy's backyard. Because Amy and Rory had to become companions, or else Melody would have never been born. And even if she had been, she wouldn't have been River, the time travelling, gun-toting archaeologist. And that would have caused all sorts of paradoxes. And broke time. Again. But back to Clara.]
All the other companions had something or someone to ground them to reality, to life outside of the Doctor. Rose had her mom. Martha had her passion for medicine, her siblings and her quarrelsome parents, four people who relied on and needed her. Donna had Wilfred. And Amy had Rory. And then she and Rory built a life apart from the Doctor, where their daughter would pop in their backyard for a drink and to catch up on life. But Clara...what grounded her?
In S9, we barely visited the school.
We saw her family in present day once in S7, and her grandmother once in S8. And not once in S9, which I believe was intentional (I suspect to further highlight she was losing who she once was and becoming addicted like the Doctor - and to the Doctor). To be honest, I forgot she had a family. They're practically nonexistent.
And who else was there? I mean she had the two kids she babysat in S7, who promptly disappeared into the void of nowhere to be seen or heard of again in S8 and S9. Then, she fell in love with Danny Pink in S8, but that relationship was highly strained and eventually imploded because she was also in love with the Doctor, arguably even more in love with him (Clara confessed Danny and the Doctor were the only two men she ever loved in Last Christmas). Maybe if Danny had lived, Clara's ending might have been different. Only Moffat knows. But Danny didn't. And she was left behind. Without a tether. All she had left was the Doctor. And she was all he had too. She was his tether. And the codependency of their friendship promptly crossed the point of no return.
And the Doctor could see it happening. He tried to protect her:
"This is my own fault...Do you know what you need? You need a hobby! Or even better, another relationship!" (9.03)
He knew she needed something or someone to ground her. A tether to the outside world. Or else, just like him, she would lose herself.
However, all warning signs were ignored. And viewers watched as Clara slowly walked off a cliff. And the Doctor fell right alongside her.
#text#personal#ask#long post#you asked such a simple question#and my answer morphed into this...#behemoth of a response#as you can see i'm quite longwinded#especially when it comes to things I’m passionate about like Doctor Who#tbh the more invested i am in a couple the harder it is for me to multiship them#in a way it's similar to falling in love#there are so many people just as beautiful#just as tantalizing#but i only see them#their perfections and their flaws#the doctor and river are my otp#my only otp#so when it comes to the timelord!doctor#I only notice her#however if you're curious about what other dynamics interest me#i keep a list of ships and brotps on my tags page#:)

I like nonhuman timelord biology and culture headcannons and I wanna share one of mine. I think that sometimes the doctor just starts sniffing companions. Like when your cat comes up and sniffs your hand like sniffsniffsniff oooooo okay. But the doctor isn't a cat they're a (usually) tall humanoid figure so I think it goes down a bit more like
Doctor (walking past donna): hm. Wait. Somethings different. SNIIFFFFFFFFF SNIFFSNIFF SNIFFFF (out loud) Donna is that a new shampoo?
Donna: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU.

Am I the only one who hated the timeless child reveal and thought it made no sense? If they needed a reason for the Master to blow up Gallifrey they had plenty:
The Doctor and the Master were both heavily bullied to the point the Master almost died and the Doctor had to kill the bully to save him because he was being drowned
The Master was locked in a room for who knows how long intentionally as a punishment
The Master was taken from his family as a child to look into something that basically gave him schizophrenia
The Master was told to his face he's "diseased" (End of Time) and he's "the worst thing to come out" (The Five Doctors)
He has constantly been the timelord's pawn, giving him the drums was an intentional decision
It's implied he was tortured for his crimes after being trapped on Gallifrey when he sacrificed himself for the 10th doctor in End of Time
I would have LOVED if the Master blew up Gallifrey simply because he thought they deserved it after how they treated him and the Doctor both. What could make him do this could just be the fact he's disgusted by Missy's actions in trying to be better and feels like he has to do the worst thing he can possibly think of and that's what comes to mind. He'd try to convince the Doctor he's right "Remember how they didn't help us? How they took us and made us see things no child should? How we never got our own lives? That'll never happen to anyone ever again now" unhinged speech
Or "With them gone we are truly the last of the time lords, we have a right to the universe more than anyone now and it's ours to shape. Conquer with me and be a just ruler if you're so concerned"

nobody said trying to date and travel through time and space would’ve been easy. that was until you met jordan, handsome, charismatic jordan. he was everything you could’ve dreamed of. well, almost. he wasn’t the doctor, but since you had it in your mind it could never happen, you settled for what you had.
jordan was so understanding of you traveling around, “bring me back a star!.” he joked.
the doctor and you had just come back from alpha centuri and he even let you keep a small space rock to give to your love. much to your surprise jordan was kissing another girl.
your heart shattered, you thought he was loyal to you all this time. a year of your life wasted away by him. “care to explain to me what’s going on?” you confronted him. his jaw dropped and he immediately pushed the girl off him. “y-y/n! it’s not what it looks like i swear!”
“oh i think it’s exactly what it looks like. c’mon love. let’s go you don’t need him.” the doctor ushered you away and into the tardis.
you couldn’t help but break down and sob. how could he? he did seem too excited that you were traveling with the doctor but you didn’t see it as you being a bit on the side, you thought he was just genuinely happy for you.
“love, im so sorry. he didn’t deserve you, he was an arse just using you.” the doctor held you as you cried into his suit jacket. his touch was gentle, as if you were a doll made of porcelain. “how can i make it up to you mhmm? lunch in new new york? crepes straight from france? i’ll do anything love, i’m desperate to see that beautiful smile again.”
you swiped away at the tears that rolled down your cheeks, confused at what you just heard. you know he had a habit of calling you “love” but you thought of that as him mindlessly flirting. you should’ve known nothing the doctor does is “mindless”. you look up at the time lord, a puzzled look on your face speaks for you. “oh for god’s sake y/n! i’m in love with you. i’ve been in love with you since we met and you started traveling with me. it broke my hearts when i saw you with him, i wished it could be us instead. please darling, i know it’s poor timing but can we be an us?”
"doctor, i dont know what to say..." "say yes, please my darling." the doctor stared at you with his big brown eyes, almost with a puppy dog like stare. "yes doctor." he leaned down into you and grabbed you with the most intensity youve seen from him as he kissed you for the first time. your lips collided and it felt like a universe ahs been born between you two.
the timelord deepened the kiss, his hands roaming your body until they landed on your ass, grabbing it gently. "i wanna help you forget all about him. you shouldve never been with him, i wanted you from the beginning. i shouldve been more open to you love.” he broke away to catch his breath and confess more.
“help me forget him then doctor, i want you, so bad.” you tugged at his hair, pulling him towards you. your hands tangled in his hair as he kissed you once more. “now that you’re mine love, i’m not letting you go.” he led you to his room on board the tardis and laid you down gently on his bed. the kiss got a lot more intense, hands tugging at each other’s clothes, you managed to pull his suit jacket off and undo some buttons while your shirt was completely gone. the two of you pulled away breathlessly, foreheads resting against each other. the doctor looked at you with such admiration in his eyes.
“are you sure you want this love?” he asked you, hands hovering over your breasts. you nodded your head slowly, looking up at the much older timelord. "please doctor..." he reached behind you, unclasping your bra. his touch so delicate almost feather like. as your straps slid off your shoulders the doctor licked his lips, “love you are breathtakingly beautiful.” his head dove down to kiss and lick at your chest while his hands worked on removing your bottoms.
the timelord parted away from you, pulling off his shirt and moving down your body to your dripping sex. "doctor, don't be a tease..." you whined out to him. suddenly he was on his knees in front of you, "may i darling?" almost too eagerly you responded, nodding your head rapidly. he kissed his way up and down your thighs, avoiding the one place you desperately needed him most.
"tell me love, are you mine?" the doctor's lips ghosted over your core. "yes, gods yes doctor please just do something." "as you wish love."
you barely had time to register what was happening since he leaned in and licked a stripe up to your clit. "taste as good as you look." he dove back in, eating like a man starved while you writhed and moaned above him.
"that's it love, be a good girl and cum for me." his tongue replaced by his nimble fingers, quickly curling inside you. you felt your whole body tense up before the waves of pleasure crashed over you.
you got up to return the favor but the doctor stopped you. "sorry darling, but tonight is about you. tonight, i'm going to fuck you until you forget that assholes name."

New Face (11th Doctor x Timelord!Reader)
watch me make a series out of a oneshot that was very much not meant to be a series— anyway, one david tennant hyperfixation led to another and now I'm rewatching Matt Smith's run as The Doctor and you know what that means!
Also requests are open!
Wordcount: 1.4k
Series masterpost
Summery: a new face a new doctor and the start of a new adventure with a lovely little girl who just wants a ride in a time machine.
Things change quickly with the Doctor. You knew that well.
One moment you're comforting the face that rescued you the next you're putting out fires around the Tardis as it wildly flies over the skies of London.
"A little help over here!" The Doctor cried, he's barely holding onto the edge of the Tardis, his body hanging out through the front doors. His new voice is higher than the one you knew.
"In a minute love!" You yell back, there was no other option than yelling over the explosions of the console and the many alarms going off.
Another explosion rocked the Tardis and the Doctor manages to pull himself up as you adjust the angle at which the Tardis is basically crashing towards the ground. There's no other option but to crash so you tried to crash in the least horrific way you could.
The thing is, you crash sideways, tipping you and the Doctor deep into the Tardis.
"Oh for fucksake—" You said as you landed against one of the couches in the library. "Oi! Language!" The doctor chided. He had the luck of landing with a big splash in the swimming pool that for some reason was in the library.
"Since when do you care about about language?" You asked him, helping him out of the pool.
"Since now evidently" He said and started looking around for ways to get out.
You handed him a grappling line.
"Care to do the honors?" You asked and he smiled, launching it as far as he could and when he felt it was stable he began to climb up.
When he finally made it to the Tardis doors you heard him talking to someone. You hadn't the faintest clue as to who.
"Love, make some room!" You called from below him and he climbed onto the Tardis, looking down.
"Woah, look at that" He said in awe as he looked at the Tardis. It was quite a view though you would have appreciated a hand as you climbed up to join him.
That's when you saw the little girl standing beside the Tardis in her nightie and bright bright red boots that matched her bright red hair. Well not really red. Human red, which was more of a copper.
"Hello there" You said, wiping the sweat from your brow.
"Are you okay?" She asked.
"Just had a fall, all the way down there right to the library. Hell of a climb back up" The Doctor told her.
"You're soaking wet" The little girl said.
"He landed in the swimming pool" You added.
She turned to look at the Doctor, "You said you were in the library".
"So was the swimming pool" He answered.
She looked a bit confused but quickly kept the questions coming.
"Are you a policeman?" She asked.
"Why? Did you call a policeman?" The Doctor asked, meanwhile you climbed down from the Tardis and onto the ground, inspecting the crash site.
"Did you come about the crack in my wall?" The little girl asked.
"What crack—" The Doctor started but he fell, clutching his chest as he groaned in pain.
You weren't worried. He was still coming off of his regeneration meaning he was practically invincible.
"Are you okay mister?" The little girl asked.
"I'm fine, it's okay, this is all perfectly normal" He said, some fleck of regeneration energy floating out of his mouth.
You turned back to the Doctor and the little girl, content with you assessments of the crash site.
"I'm sorry, we seem to have crashed into your shed" You said to the little girl and she looked between you and the Doctor.
"Who are you?" She asked and you smiled, leaning down to be at her eye level.
"My name is Y/N and he" You said, pointing at your lover who was currently watching the regeneration energy still filling his hands "-is The Doctor."
The Doctor got his bearings, or at least tried to, coming up beside you. "Does it scare you?" He asked.
"Does what scare me?" She asked.
"The crack in your wall, does it scare you?" He repeated.
"Yes" She answered, almost shyly.
This excited him. "Well then, no time to lose. Like he said I'm The Doctor, do everything I tell you, don't ask stupid questions and don't wander off" He said confidently and started walking.
"Love" You said and he turned his head back to face you, causing him to walk straight into the tree you wanted to warn him about.
The little girl walked over to him where he was just lying on the ground.
"You alright?" She asked.
"Early days" He said, "Steering's a bit off plus he distacted me" he said, pointing at you.
With a roll of your eyes you went over to help him up.
"You really should sit down and eat something love, you're running on fumes" You told him and shrugged.
"I'll be fine" He said and you sighed, turning to the little girl.
"Can you do me a favor and get him something to eat? Maybe then the two of you can have a look at that scary crack in your wall" You suggested and she nodded, you gave her The Doctor's hand and told her to be careful with him cause he's very iratible right now and he complained as the little girl walked with him into the house and you stayed outside with the Tardis.
You had a feeling this would be a regular thing with this new Doctor. You cleaning up after him.
You could already see so many differences between his old self and this new one.
Besides the obvious physical difference this new body was much more wild. He was already all over the place much more than your old Doctor. But he was also charming. You were sure you'd love him just as much once he figured himself out a bit more, after all he did the same for you.
All that time ago when you promised you would never leave him, when you told you loved him, when you stayed by his side even as the power of a sun was burning through his body. You stayed with him and regenerated and he helped you. He carefully picked you up and placed you back in the medbay of the ship you were on and when you woke up he helped you get accustomed to your new body and he kept loving you just like he did before. So you would do the same.
You checked the grappling line and when you were sure it would hold you went back into the Tardis.
nothing in the console room was on fire anymore which was good. You went one by one checking the systems and resetting what needed it. That is until the ringing started.
you hadn't actually gotten to checking the engines yet. The ringing was coming from the engines.
"No, no, no, no, no— Come on!" You cried as you tried to settle them.
"Just calm down a bit will you?" You tried to ask the Tardis but she wasn't having it.
"Y/N! What's going on in there?" The Doctor hollered as he ran out of the house.
"She's throwing a tantrum!" You yelled through the open Tardis doors.
"It's just a box, how can a box be throwing a tantrum?" The little girl said. You still didn't know her name.
"Not a box, it's a time machine" The Doctor said.
"What, a real one?" she asked, you popped your head out of the Tardis just enough to look at them.
"Doctor come on!" You said, popping back into the console room.
"Five minute hop into the future should do it" The Doctor said, climbing onto the Tardis.
"Can I come?" The girl asked.
"Not safe in here, five minutes, give me five minutes, I'll be right back" He said.
"People always say that" She said and the Doctor stopped, he climbed back down to the ground and kneeled in front of the little girl.
"Am I people?" He asked, "Do I even look like people? Trust me, I'm the Doctor" He said.
He climbed back onto the Tardis, gave the girl one last look and jumped in, "Geronimo!"
With him inside the ringing finally stopped.
"There you go, you just don't like it when Y/N drives" The Doctor cooed at the console.
You rolled your eyes.
"Doctor" You asked, "What did you tell that little girl?"
"I told her we'd be back in five minutes" He said, running around the console, hitting buttons and turning switches.
"Did you get her name?" You asked and he smiled.
"Yes! Amelia Pond! Brilliant name isn't it? Amelia Pond"

tolerate it
( tenth doctor x reader / fourteenth doctor x reader )
a/n: i haven’t wrote on here in so long 😥😥 @sqiim is writing so now im writing and i don’t wanna do my work so here i am !!!
🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️
You initially didn’t mean to find The Doctor, he found you. The shit day you were having was immediately twisted into an interesting one when you had walked into him. Firstly, you had woken up to the passing of your beloved dog and decided to go shopping after you had taken the canine to the vet for the last time. Then you were walking down the street and your shopping bag broke, spilling out all your shopping onto the floor as you walked into a man in a trenchcoat. You were close to giving up, that’s when he turned around and begun to pick up your pile of oranges that fell out the bag.
“You don’t need to help” You said, shoving items into your other shopping bag. The Stranger locked eyes with you and smiled, he had the most beautiful chocolate eyes and freckles painted his face.
“It’s not a worry, I’m happy to help” He replied, still with a soft smile as he picked up some of your things.
“Thank you, by the way” You spoke softly standing up and straightening out your outfit.
“I’m The Doctor” He chuckled introducing himself before he whisked you away from your lowlife
During those times together, you had seen the most beautiful things with The Doctor. You had seen ancient ruins from meadows of the old age, civilisations dancing under a bright moonlight, betwitched by realms of impossibility. But there was also the downsides of travelling with The Doctor, fighting aliens who look like they belong in the air fryer and covered in cheese, lasers beaming down at you from metal men, loosing people you had grown to care about in a short amount of time. And The Daleks, it’s always The Daleks. They always take the time out of their day to ruin everything.
You didn’t want to leave him, you could never leave him behind. Your love for The Doctor was too powerful to ever let him go from your life. It was quite the opposite in fact, he let you go. He didn’t want what happened to Donna to happen to you. Poor Donna Noble, you wished you could speak to her again one more time.
You would always wait by the door, hoping and wishing he would come back to you but he was much older and wiser than yourself so you thought he wouldn’t understand of waiting by the door for someone to come like you were a kid. You would always set a spot at your dinner table incase he came back home to you but he would never show in the end. He could be out in the universe, finding worlds that hadn’t been discovered just then or not meant to be discovered at all, yet here you were, waiting for him all those years.
When you had heard about Donna Noble’s generosity donating to all those charities, selflessly giving it away even though she had won so much. Something inside you had always wondered that a part of her mind had never truly forgotten The Doctor. Which confused you for a long time, you had always secretly been making sure she was okay. Not in a weird way! She was your best friend at one point and you wanted to make sure she was staying out of trouble.
Five painful, long years after The Doctor’s sudden abandonment of you back on your property, he found himself there again. But this time he was much older and wiser, you were still setting the table with all the fancy shit like you would always do for him if he ever came back. Same face or not, you would always know it was him and you’d always love him. The Doctor found himself with the same face he had met you in, he was originally confused on why he had that face but after The Toymaker, he now understood why he came back to this face, he came back to go home, home where he was meant to be. That home was you (And Donna), he never had to worry about being the renowned Timelord when he was with you, he was just himself.
You were relaxed, cooking yourself your favourite meal for dinner. Dancing to the slow music you had playing in the background, the warmth of your kitchen putting you into a celestial state of peace. You were finally at peace with yourself and what happened with The Doctor, you would never not love him, you could never bring yourself to stop loving him. Then there was a knock at the door, you’d recognise that knock anywhere, the soft but panicked knock resonated inside your head as you absentmindedly turned the stove off.
To say you were nervous about answering the door was an understatement but a part of you said that you should see him again. You still loved him after all. There he stood, still your Doctor but older, he was still as beautiful as ever. Tears pricked your eyes but you didn’t let them fall, creating a cold demeanour around him and you didn’t want to break again in front of him. However, that was short lived as he could see through your demeanour, he could see right into your pain, your heartbreak.
“I’m so sorry” He expressed, you looked away. You didn’t want to let him see you like this, you wanted to stay mad but you could never stay mad at The Doctor. His hand reached out to you, resting upon your cheek and making you lock eyes with him. You didn’t fight it, you let your feelings take over, you’d never let your heart take over your head, but for The Doctor?
Oh, how you’d do it every-time.
“I know” You whispered “You always are sorry, but this time you mean it right? This time please say you’ll stay” Your eyes and contact with him and smiled softly at him.
“I couldn’t leave if I tried, my sweetheart” He chuckled lowly, his hand slowly caressing at your cheek, pushing a loose strand of hair out your face. He moved his face down towards your ear and whispered into it “I’ll always stay with you, until the end of time itself”
His voice into your ear was sending shivers down your spine, you trembled into his touch. Then came the kiss, the missed touch of his lips against your own, it was heavenly, you thought you had died and came back from the dead. The desperate touches and fleeting looks from his eyes. The way his eyelids fluttered as you pulled against his shirt to get any closer to him.
This was his home. This is what he was meant for. He was meant for you.

Just a little something about 15th, 14th and healing.
There was this one thing that has been living rent free in my head since I watched The Giggle on Saturday. Well, a lot of things, really, but...
When 15th hugged 14th for the first time... It hit an emotional chord really hard.
This made me think of all the times that my therapist insisted on me loving and understanding my past self (and how good it finally felt when I was able to accept that chubby, weird, obsessive, anxious little person I was as a child and a teenager... And I accepted all the anger and fear and hurt they had inside, and how much it still drove my adult self).
Also reminded me of a common theme on conversations, about how younger generations are doing the "emotional healing" for all the generational trauma that previous generations never knew how to process. How younger generations are addressing and working on what older siblings, parents and grandparents tried so hard not to see, but that were marking the life of every generation.
And... the main idea it left stuck in my emotional fridge was "make sure to be the adult you needed when you were younger". That's a truism I'm pretty sure I found here a long time ago, or on an IG post, one of those things that sound so "self help" that it is almost embarrassing to admit how helpful you find them when they actually come true (happened to me).
That hug is all of these things, on a Timelord scale.
Ncuti is so perfect to be the Doctor Who who finally addressed the trauma, was ready to be present for all his past selves (not only in the heroic way, as was in the 50th Anniversary Special, but emotionally too), accepts all of the past... And lets it heal.
15th will be so fresh and ready to run new adventures. This hug was the most stellar presentation he could have received... And I'm so ready to see him run, have fun, be cheeky and smart and compassionate and THE MOST STYLISH EVER.
Go on, Doctor. Heal and be happy. We all deserve it, and you've reminded us all about it.

Uncanny Touch
Masterlist
You didn't get the chance to get acquainted with the new version of the doctor. So it's comes as a surprise when he suddenly wants the seduce you on a space ship at the end of the universe.
14th Doctor x reader + fake doctor x reader
Timelord!wife reader
Established relationship
1.5K Words
Angst
A little bit smutty
Written based on this request by @creelmalfoylaufeyson69 on my tumblr:
"Hello! I was wondering if you could do something angsty where Y/n prefers the fake Doctor over the real one? "
After the unconventional landing, the sudden disappearance of the Tardis, you finally arrived in the ship's cockpit. You let out a sigh of relief. Finally, some sense of control. Cockpits were good; you were trained on a Tardis type-60 but knew enough about other ships and transport systems to make an educated guess. "Okay, you two take a look at the other corridors.", you told them, sliding into the pilot's chair. You took a look at the pedals and screens in front of you. Was it built with a dual-slot engine? No, there would have to be a physical instrument to initiate ignition. Abduction core? Possibly, guessing from the symbols, there was a cooling system on the ship.
The Doctor and Donna had taken a step towards the cockpit's glass front, wondering about the edge of the universe. It was a strange concept: being at the end of everything. The thought made you shiver.
"Doctor." You called, making him step away from the glass and turn to you. "It looks like it utilizes cooler breaks. Could you go and look for any kind of cooling system?" You asked, still trying to figure out any of the written symbols.
You hadn't been able to figure out anything more than the basic number system that the Doctor had been able to translate.
"Any indication for power resources?" The Doctor leaned in next to you to take a look at the controls; he flipped through some of the slides and notifications that popped up on the screen. His hip was pressed against your knee; he didn't notice as he was too focused. But you did. You felt how warm his skin was. His heat slowly seeped into your leg, and you suddenly felt warmth rush to your face. You hadn't really touched, not in an intimate way.
But there had been no time to do so as you just popped up during the situation with the Meep. There was no time for rekindling, and you would have to wait a little longer judging the situation. "Um, no," You said softly. This position gave you the chance to finally take a better look at him.
He hummed, sliding back out between you and the screen. But not without letting his hand glide over your leg with just enough pressure to show you that his touch was deliberate. You sat up a little more straight, your eyes following his hand up to his arm and up to his face. He was looking at you with a kind smile. You huffed, reciprocating the playful sentiment. He let go, calling for Donna to follow him on his search for the ship's energy source and water system.
You stayed in the pilot's seat, trying to figure out possible syntax structures for the language you were presented with. It looked like nothing you had seen before. You were very familiar with circular writing systems, but this? Mysterious.
"Energy systems are controlled with base plate repetition filaments, Love." He informed you as he passed you on the corridor. "Ah, nice. And you gave Donna the pesky task of reenergizing them?" You asked, vaguely looking in his direction as he moved swiftly towards the other side of the cockpit. "Someone had to do it." He shrugged. He kept moving into the other room, his voice becoming muffled by the metal walls separating you. "And you had instructed me to look for a water system, no? Repetition filaments mean water spindles, so that's where I am going to solve my riddle of the day," He told you, his voice becoming smaller as he moved further into the room.
You huffed a laugh, once again focusing on the task at hand. You squinted your eyes, trying to find reoccurring elements in the symbols. Was there a word order? Did they even use words or was this a different kind of language. They may be phonemic creatures and somehow managed to create a written language.
"Whoa-"You gasped when a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around you from behind. You realized it was the Doctor's.
You caught your breath, adrenaline rising in you from the sudden contact. You turned your head to look at him, but the seat's height made it impossible to look behind it.
"Are you done already?" You asked, genuinely surprised at his speed at work. He just hummed, his hands losing their pressure to slowly glide over your torso. You gasped softly at the intimate touch over your chest and belly. Was 14 going to be a touchy incarnation? Wandering hands and flirty interactions?
"I missed you." He said lowly, letting go of you, only to appear on your left. His hand was outstretched, asking you silently to take it. You studied his face for a moment. He had removed his glasses, and his dark eyes watched you with a strange energy behind them. You haven't seen him like this before. You glanced at his hand for a moment before accepting his invitation. He grinned, pulling you up quickly.
He was more substantial than you remembered, using a good amount of strength to pull you right into his chest. His grin widened, keeping you there, pressed into his front. It was new, unexpected. He had always been very levelheaded on past journeys and travels. But you couldn't get yourself to mind it very much. Not with the sudden rush you felt. He had always been romantic but never this… physically approaching.
"Hello, you." He chuckled, watching you hungrily. His right hand moved up to your chin, holding it in a firm grasp. You let out a breath, not noticing you held it. His thumb moved to your lower lip, pressing down on it and letting his finger glide over it.
"Doctor-"You gasped softly. You really wanted to tell him that you appreciated the new physical contact and were also looking forward to exploring his new form, but now, stuck with Donna on an empty ship and without a Tardis, wasn't the right moment to do so. Yet the mix of surprise and attraction made it impossible to say more than that. He chucked at your weak interjection. Letting go of your lip and letting it bounce back into place.
"Always humouring me." He whispered, grinning again, eyes moving to your lips and back up to meet your eyes. He pulled you forward to meet you in a passionate kiss, the hand on your cheek moved to your neck to hold you in place.
You gasped into the kiss when he slowly walked you backwards, turning you around so that he stood with his back to the chair.
"Taste so good." He growled, allowing you to catch your breath before letting himself fall into the pilot's chair. His left arm was still wrapped around you, making you follow his movement. You practically fell into his lap; you had enough sense not to stumble completely and sit down on his lap. Each leg was placed over his thigh as your knees bumped against the small armrests of the chair. He looked down at your position.
"Yes-"He groaned, pushing you closer with a hand against your lower back. His long fingers graced your ass, and suddenly, you didn't care so much about being stuck on a lost spaceship.
"My good girl." He hummed, going in for another kiss. He squeezed your side, nimble fingers moving under your shirt. He pulled down the neckline of your shirt, humming against your pulse.
"I've waited so long to finally have you again." The Doctor started kissing your pulse, moving towards your neck. You closed your eyes, intoxicated by him. His stubble rubbed deliciously against your skin, making you gasp.
"Doctor, we shouldn't…" But then his fingers hand found a way under your shirt. They were a bit cold, creating goosebumps as they danced over your back with gentle pressure.
"Mhm, and yet you enjoy it. You little rule-breaker." He sucked on that delicious spot where your jaw connected to your skull. His fingers had reached the claps of your bra. He kneaded the skin underneath them before unhooking them one by one. You knew that something was off. That the Doctor would never approach you like this, despite his playful and sometime unpredictable nature. But you realised with shock that you didn't care about that. Because this version of him gave you what you longed for.
"Donna?!"
"My little deserter." He pulled you closer to let his lips wander over your clavicle to go lower.
"What?" You opened your eyes, wondering if you were just hearing things. Did he just call you-
"You should have followed those orders, hmm?" He licked your neck, his hands moving to your front, just waiting to touch your-
"Donna, Love, are you there? Donna-"
Your eyes met. His emotions shifted quickly from confused to intrigued, triggered by that look of bliss and arousal on your face. But in the end, he just looked terrified as he noticed the familiar arms and white sleeves peeking out from underneath your shirt. Accustomed fingers massaging your flesh. And then that grin. He never knew he could look so terrorizing, grinning back at himself.
With you, gasping on the lap of the other him.

Baking weekends : The surprise
Those gifs do not belong to me.
Heyyyyy! How are you lots ? As promised, here comes another episode of the baking week ends ! This follows up the event of "An hymne to love", as well as the last espisode, "Kiss the cook".
Anyway... Hope you enjoy !
Froggit-
Warning : there's a lot of fluff, mention of making out in the tardis. English is not my first language.
--------------------------
The grocery store seemed to be way too full for a Saturday morning. Paying for the few articles you had in your basket, you got out, frantically searching for your car. There was so little time until the doctor and Clara came back from another of their adventures.
Driving as fast as the law allowed you, you pulled up to your small cottage, sprinting toward your house, paper bags in hand. Your coat was quickly put on a hanger as your shoes went flying in the entry.
Washing your hands conscientiously, you tried to get your plan straight one more time, making sure nothing was missing.
You had wanted to surprise the Doctor for a long while now. Back when Amy and Rorry were still traveling with you, a brilliant idea had come to you in the form of a red recipe book. The cover was old and titled with circles and other intricate designs you soon realized, was Gallifreyan. Having seen the notes the doctor tended to leave in the console room for repairs the Tardis needed, it was only ever so obvious.
For the sake of this recipe, you had to go to small markets while on another planet, wanting to find every single ingredient of what the doctor had stated to be his favorite dessert back home. Finally opening the book, you couldn’t help yourself, and shed a tear as you saw the numerous yellow sticky notes on every page, annotations left by Donna, your previous self older sister.
"How can I be sure he ain't as rotten as the last one?"
Donna was upset to be keeped from such an important part of your life. If you were honest, you were sad to not be able to share it, but it was either that or losing her once more.
On that day, you had asked for her help, but she wanted to know more about that brilliant
stranger you said changed you in better ways.
"Do you reckon I would be baking for him if he weren't important?"
"Cor blimey, you two had been goin’ out for bleedin’ three years, and I still never met the bloke!"
“I told you he traveled an awful lot.” you let out passing by the radio and changing the station.
“Just spill it if he's scared of meeting mom.” She let out with a small laugh. You could only do the same, bumping her with your hip as you did so.
You missed her dearly, her and her sassy comebacks. Since your new “Regeneration” you haven't been able to see her. What would she even say ? She didn’t know this version of you, you didn’t even look the same, and putting her life at risk would be irresponsible. You had just hopped that may be one day you would meet her once more.
Putting up some energetic music, you wore your apron and got to work, sleeves put up to the elbow. The adventure only truly started now, something you waited so long to put up.
--------------------------
The doctor and Clara had been off all day, the brunette insisting on going a little longer, still waiting for your signal. The timelord was starting to be suspicious of Claras behavior, wondering what got his companion so energized for such a long adventure, he even was starting to wonder if she wasn’t a clone trying to keep him from earth longer than normal.
But like the over-excited traveler he was, he couldn’t put down the offer, for all he knew, he was expected back at your cottage by the end of afternoon. Today was a busy day for you, and even if he wanted to have taken you with them, you insisted for them to spend some time together. It saddened him of course, none the less he understood today wasn’t a good day to go off with her.
Right now, the doctor was admiring a beautiful fez he had found within the small shop he and Clara came across, visiting a brand new planet. Soon enough he felt his shoulder being tapped on by the said girl, a tired smile visibly drawing itself on her lips. Asking the doctor to take her home, Clara had just closed her phone, saving it in her back pocket.
After buying the fez, he seemed proud as he pushed the levers on the console. Rocking his new hat, Clara only could wonder if he would ever come across one without having to put it on. Even if she didn’t dream of seeing him less happy, she wanted the surprise that awaited him back home would light him up even brighter.
With the Brunette back at her apartment, the doctor had no patience in waiting some more and launched the Tardis. Soon, his foot touched the vast landing of grass, still illuminated as the sun slowly hid behind the clouds.
Without any hesitation, his hand found the ringing bell of the small cottage, his heart pounding harder and harder as the seconds got by.
Passing your head by the now unlocked window, the doctor seemed to ignite, happy to finally be back. “Darling, the door is open! Come on in!” Your hair was a mess, your glasses hanging from around your neck, beautifully portrayed by the light of the setting sun highlighting your figure. Smiling at you, the doctor entered the house, coming practically 10 seconds later face to face with you. “Well, welcome home Sweetheart”.
--------------------------
“I told you to not cheat! close those beautiful eyes before I smack you.”
The doctor was too curious to wait for the surprise you had put up for him. And right now, all he wanted was to take a tiny peak. But knowing how serious you could be about those things, he didn’t jocked around long before closing his eyes.
Soon you entered the room, a beautiful cake in your hands. Its sunny color, outshining the yellow of your apron. Slowing placing the cake before the Doctor. You gently brushed his shoulder. “Doctor, you can open them… ”
Finally letting go of his face, the man thought he was dreaming. Before him stood something that was supposed to be long gone, never to be seen again. And as he admired the wonderful pâtisserie, he couldn’t help but notice it wasn't just any Gallifreyan cake; it was a homemade one.
Both his hearts skipped a beat as he realized the significance of the gesture. Turning to his wife with a mixture of surprise and gratitude, he couldn't help but smile.
"Did you...?" he started, his voice filled with warmth and affection.
You couldn’t help but beamed with pride when you saw the love in his eyes. "Yes, Doctor. I thought since you couldn't go back to Gallifrey yet, I'd bring a little piece of it to you."
The Doctor's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as he looked at the cake, overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of your gesture. At this moment, all he could think of was how much he loved you, and how much you meant.
Taking a deep breath to steady his emotions, the Doctor rose from his chair, wrapping both arms around you, burying his head in the crook of your neck, trying to hide his tears as they got out of control. Pulling you into a tight yet comforting hug, all he could muster was a soft “Thank you” thick with all the love he could let out. "This... means more to me than you could ever know."
Your hand was now passing on his back, soothing him as much as you could. Your other tangled itself with his soft hair as you stood there for another minute. You never wanted this embrace to end. But as you pulled slightly away, you could only see how much the doctor truly meant every word.
With a gentle smile, you reached down, your hand slowly cradling his cheek as you leaned in softly, closing the distance between them. Your breath mingled, warm yet sweet as your lips brushed together in a soft yet passionate kiss. But as you parted, the doctor only tried to reach for your lips, making you snort softly at the surprised look on his face.
“I do believe we still have to taste the cake, now don’t we?”
“I- … yes”
“We will continue… this after…-”
--------------------------
And to say you had outdone yourself was an understatement. You would have expected it to taste funny with the numerous strange ingredients you had to add. It was heavenly, and by the doctor's face, you could only tell he was enjoying every second of it.
“Is it any good ?” Serving yourself another portion.
"Blimey, love! This... this is fantastic! Haven't had a nibble like this in eons... It's not just good, it's utterly brilliant! Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it!" He answered, still trying to shove more cake in his mouth.
Your cheeks flared up, genuinely happy, and proud you had done such good work. In the beginning, you feared it wouldn’t have the same taste as the one that existed back home, and you felt relieved that the doctor could recognize a fond memory in it.
--------------------------
It was safe to say, the cake did not survive long enough. You and the doctor, now cuddling in the softness of the Tardis covers.
After the cake had been devoured, you had to have a turn. The thankful kisses you gave one another, turned into a heated session of making out against the tardis console, his fingerprints still lingering on your inner thighs. And just like that it was you and him against the world once more.
His fingers passed through your short ginger hair as a comfortable silence installed itself. You looked up at him and could tell he had some questions about the whole surprise.
“You have a lot of questions don’t you ?”
“I always do…”
“Ask away then, I know you’re curious.”
Shifting slightly closer, the doctor leaned onto his elbow, making his face right above you. “How long did this take you ?”
Your hand reaching out for his jaw, you pulled a small but sad grin. “I started trying back when Amy was still traveling with us. Unfortunately, I died shortly after so… been planning longer than our wedding. ”
The doctor laughed slightly with you, remembering the chaotic moment. “And the recipe? Where did you find it? The Tardis database is still written in Gallifreyan as far as I’m aware of- ”
“No such trouble when you have learned to read it.”
“What..?”
“Why so surprised? Did you think I would traverse the universe for eons and not try to embrace your culture? What sort of wife would I be ?”
And just when he thought he couldn’t love you more, he did. His hearts swelled with pride as he looked into your eyes. Caressing your cheek, he kissed your forehead, brushing away some strands of hair still in the way.
“You truly are remarkable (Y/N).....”
“It goes both ways my Bowtie maniac.”
And as the sun rose again on the Tardis, the two lovers intertwined once more, laying one against another as close as you could, afraid time might slip by and take you both apart.
You couldn’t have dreamed of a better outcome.
--------------------------
Bonus :
“I knew Clara was up to something!” Complained the time lord only now realizing why his companion was so indecisive about where to land.
“Only figured now she had to keep you busy while I was baking?”
“That’s an awful trickery-”
“As far as I’m aware, if you hadn't been off, you wouldn’t have this wonderful fez of yours, now would you ?” Turning around him you swiftly took the red hat off his head, putting it on your own.
“Oi, mine-” He quickly tried to retrieve it, but knowing you it could be easy or involve a lot of running.
Dodging his hand, you took the opportunity to run off in the Tardis corridors singing “Nope, mine now!” as you ran across the control room.
“(Y/N)! ” The doctor was slightly panicked but it was just a matter of time before all of it evolved into laughter.

Is regeneration a natural occourance or chosen? (mostly because the master at the end of s3 chose not to regenerate intentionally, whereas other regenerations of other timelords in the show can seem really unwilling like they’d rather not have it happen??)
Is regeneration a natural process or chosen?
Weirdly enough, both.
⚡The Stages of Regeneration
1️⃣ The Trigger: Regeneration typically kicks in when a Gallifreyan is seriously injured or has reached the end of their natural lifespan in a specific body. Once the body hits a critical point, the lindos hormone is released, and the regenerative process is automatically activated.
2️⃣ The Reset: This stage is known as the Reset. It's when the body starts to stabilise, shedding damaged cells, healing wounds, and reversing the effects of ageing, like hitting the refresh button. During this phase, the Gallifreyan will feel weak and may experience hallucinations or disorientation. Once the Reset is done, the body's ready to enter the third stage of regeneration, the Rebuild, or ...
🚫The State of Grace (Optional): Gallifreyans can have the option to delay the third stage of regeneration. During this time, the body steadily grows weaker; if the Gallifreyan doesn't regenerate while in the state of grace or find somewhere to put that potential energy (think Tentoo), they risk permanent death.
3️⃣ The Rebuild: Once the Reset is finished, the body enters the Rebuild phase, where it undergoes a complete transformation and is restructured at the molecular level. This regeneration typically comes with some sort of visual manifestation, like a big boom of light.
❌Choosing Not to Regenerate
Some Time Lords, particularly those from Newblood families, have more control over their regenerations. They can often choose their physical form—gender, appearance, age—giving them a lot of freedom. For the Master, it's very likely that his level of control over regeneration enabled him to stop the process while still in the trigger phase, actively committing suicide.
On the other hand, Oldblood Time Lords, like the Doctor, often have less control. Once regeneration is triggered, their bodies tend to be at the mercy of the process. They can delay it for a short while in the state of grace stage, but after that, most generally don't have much choice. They can try to persist through the state of grace to completely deny the Rebuild kicking in and therefore die, but it's like trying to hold in a sneeze.
🏫So ...
In short, regeneration is a natural process, but the level of control varies. Newblood Time Lords have a bit more say in the matter, while Oldbloods tend to have to just go with it. The process can be delayed for a time, but ultimately, regeneration is something a Gallifreyan cannot avoid forever.

I currently have two AUs that I don't exactly know what to do with or what to properly call them LMFAO- I'll probably write something on Ao3 for it eventually since there's a ton of BillFord and FiddStan in there but yeah-
1st AU: Timelord Stanford (Dr Who what if)
This case was inspired by an RP I had with someone's Bill Cipher on @gftimelord where the triangle starts to be on the mend with Stanford after their ruined past. This to me makes sense because the Doctor is inherently very lonely despite the savior god complex. In that AU where Ford is functionally immortal and Stan and Fidds both at some point die due to his complacency and arrogance— he searches for a companion that can actually keep up with him.
So when Bill visits him during one of those window hours set by the Theraprism, they talk about the triangle's impending demise with their plans to essentially erase him from existence. It's not an outlandish idea given that any inpatient seen as a lost cause would or could be disposed of when it comes to cosmic entities. It's simply the easier option.
The doctor(Ford) is more impulsive, nonchalant, and egoistic compared to his counterparts because he does have the walk to back his talk(this man has been broken by the nightmares and guilt he carries from the deaths he caused; also time war) problem being he doesn't fear death as much as he fears being alone. He's had a fair share of close calls with the grim reaper, but always like some horrible twist he survives. After all, it is a saying that we covet the most what we don't have.
So yeah, he jailbreaks Bill essentially and whatever power limiter is stuck on the triangle get tied to his sonic screwdriver instead and they simply go around the multiverse doing whatever. Most of the reason why Ford isn't caught yet largely has to do with how scared most entities are of him. The doctor is never armed, but it doesn't mean he won't kill.
2nd AU: Modern Era AU (Set in 2024)
This one is more of a shitpost thanks to the young trio I drew a little while back, I'll draw more of them for this at some point while I also try and figure out a decent human Bill design that I like in my artstyle.
But this AU heavily features these four idiots as Undergrad students fucking about college life as they would. This AU is supposed to feature like a more cultivated genius Stanley based around my own dynamic with my brother since I do like me some happy Stan twins.
It just so happens that Ford is also a very much EQ negative idiot and falls for an upperclassman(one year his senior) in BSSE[Software Engineering] who is a close friend to Fidds. He goes by 'Cipher' as an alias since he's a prodigy for his age and very young ethical hacker.
So yes, that's where Bill comes in. Haven't figured out what I want his full name to be yet shoot me some ideas! Ford is very shy when it comes down to talking with Bill whereas Stan is completely chill.
Both Stan and Bill get along very well in this AU because they're similarly chaotic the same way that Fidds and Ford get along because they're the ones holding the other two back from doing something undeniably stupid for shits and giggles.
All of them share some fundamental subjects together(i.e. Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Research, History, etc.) or take elective courses just so they could chill together. Stan is typically the one who adjusts to the schedule of the other three since he takes BSBA[Business Administration] and is the odd one out when Ford does BSCMB[Cellular Molecular Biology] and Fidds does BSEE[Electrical Engineering].
The FiddleStan in this AU is gonna be c r a z y mostly due to Fidds in this AU is the heir to his family's computer company, so lowkey spoiled nepo baby but also on a very tight leash with his parents. Stan is the kid where 90% of his childhood was parents either forgot him or straight up did not give a flying fuck. So these two kinda work as complements and it's why I decided to pair them together after chatting with a friend about the group dynamics.
So yeah, simpy and adoring Ford and silently aware but shy Bill + rebellious Fidds and supportive Stan. All the more when I actually plan for this AU to have some typical gravity falls shenanigans anyway thanks to a place on earth called the Oregon Vortex.
[I'll likely make fics and comics of these AUs, reply to this post if you want to be tagged for whenever I post something]
Yeah I need to properly name these AUs.

As someone who uses a mobility aid and has muscular tension that cause me general body and joint pain and stiffness from the hips down on both sides what would kill me with doctor who wouldn't be the running it'd be the fucking stairs. They don't always have stairs in doctor who but oh boy when they do. I can run super fast and then inevitably injure my hips and suffer through it and keep limping along through the pain but if it's a flight of stairs between me and safety I'm so dead. If I don't take those stairs 1 step at a time my knees WILL lock or my muscles will throw such a massive hissy fit that it'll take me TWICE the time it takes your average person to go up those stairs and I will be killed or kinapped or put through some strange and unusual scifi horror by step 3. The doctor and I (limping) run down 50000000 hallways and we reach the end of a hall with only a reasonably sized staircase on the other end of it and the doctor immediately starts vaulting up the steps 3 at a time until he turns around and notices that I have stopped completely at the bottom of the steps to stare at him blithely. He starts trying to get me to go up the stairs or ask what the hell I think I'm doing and I slowly lower myself back down to the ground and cross my arms over my chest and begin reciting funeral prayers with a serene smile. The big evil monster comes after me and I am eaten. Badly. The doctor yells NOOOOO really loud and cries a little maybe idk and then is emo about it for like half a season until they end up back by the staircase in a season finale or something and it's revealed that the stairs are magic stairs that preserve the conciousness of any ugly ass bitch who hates staircases enough and the doctor is implied to have know this all along. and the doctor gives me some heartbroken major depressive disorder poster child look and a little speech about how they "couldn't have come back here for blah blah excuses reasons" and I smile sweetly and say "why the fuck didn't you have an emergency exit strategy or some shit incase the guy who uses a fucking cane couldn't do some shit like go up stairs super fast because he uses a fucking cane. Hello. Not even mad. Are you stupid. You are a timelord. Your people let your gay ass fuck off to who knows where because you're the dumbest timelord ever and they couldn't stand your stupid ass. I can't believe I'm stuck on this gay ass space station with this lame ass death for all of eternity because you didn't think that the guy who struggles to go up stairs would struggle to go up stairs. You wanna know what the alien said to me before he ate me. He said hey that dude you're here with sucks so bad and is stupid and gay and lame as hell. And I would have said 'yeah lol' but then he ate me. He ate me because of stairs doctor. Stairs." And then I'd stay forever trapped with my soul in that staircase just so I could spend the rest of enternity sending spam calls and telemarketers to the tardis phone. The doctor's investigating something outside an alien bar somewhere and sees ads like XXX Brittany Wants To Spend a NIGHT With YOU Sexy! Hot Singles in your area! Call here for a night of FUN! HOT SINGLE Xxeksifloryean Milfs Looking For a MATE in GALAXIES NEAR YOU!!!!❤️❤️❤️ and softly puts a hand on the posters and goes "I'm sorry I couldn't save you....." five seconds later jerry from *TOTALLY REAL* intergalactic statefarm NOT A FAKE NOT A SCAM calls up the doctor on the TARDIS phone to ask about the doctor's insurance info. Somewhere I kick an ugly ass step on a stupid fucking staircase and break my ghost toe. I hop around and start swearing.

you're gonna go far || 11th doctor
eleventh doctor x reader
summary: a mysterious force sends you back in your own timeline, back into a younger version of yourself, a deed which is forbidden, the doctor tries to retrieve you, but do you truly want to go back?
tw: angst, fear, slight depressive stuff
A/N: I listed to 'you're gonna go far' by noah kahan on repeat for this, so I felt the vibe of this song throughout, but this is not a song fic as such where I rely on the lyrics too much, just the general vibe.
"Doctor, are you sure we should be here?" You asked as you followed the timelord through the abandoned looking place. You weren't exactly sure what kind of place this was, whether it was a spaceship or a base or even a planet. When you asked the Doctor, he didn't seem to know either.
"Ah, come one, what is there to lose, a forgotten place isn't that exciting?" He turns his head around to grin at you. His childlike excitement was what turned you to followed him over and over again. And over and over again it got you into trouble.
You tried to shake the eerie feeling off and concentrate on the Doctor's excitement to infiltrate you as well. In the end, what was the worst that could happen?
The place was dusty, its metal walls seemed to stretch on forever and the rather dim lights made you paranoid about every step you took. The Doctor didn't seem to share your sentiment, as he rarely did, and just lead the way.
When he abruptly stopped you didn't have the time to stop and ran straight into his back. Not that really noticed.
"A door, brilliant!" He exclaimed turning towards you wipping on his feet. "Finally something interesting."
You wanted to ask if the whole thing you were in wasn't exciting enough, but you already knew the answer. Of course it wasn't.
The Doctor rushed over to the door, trying to open it by pushing every button on the display to the left of the door. But nothing happened. His shoulders sank in disappointment and instead he pulled out his screwdriver.
The green glow stick sprung to life and opened the door. You slowly approached tthe eb Doctor before stopping at his side, looking inside the room in curiosity.
The room was dark, the only thing illuminating it were small display lights flickering inside the room. It was cramped with boxes and shelves filled with artifacts unknown to you. Your eyes were wide as you tried to make out whether was any immediate threat inside the room, but you couldn't really see much.
Beside you the Doctor went through his blazer, before pulling out two sleek torches. "Hah!"
He grinned at you holding one out for you to grab. You grabbed it, although a bit hesitant. Normally you would be just as excited about these types of things as the Doctor but for some reason this place made you feel icky. As if something horrendous was about to happen.
The Doctor didn't notice your hesitancy and strode forward into the room, torch held high and alight. Jumping over your shadow you ignored your senses and turned on your own torch before following your friend.
The doctor had already taken to a small electric box, his torch held up between his teeth while he fiddled with the wires.
You turned towards one of the shelves inspecting the articles stored on them. Frowning you saw some familiar, very earthly things, like a baseball cap or a phone, but also things that you have never seen before, like glowing rocks or wip lined with runes unknown to you.
You almost jumped when wizzing sounded through the quiet room, you turned around just as the dim lights of the room sprung to life and a happy Doctor exclaimed. But you couldn't see any of that as you shut your eyes when the lights hit them, already used to the darker room.
Groaning lightly you blinked your eyes open. "Next time warn me before turning on the light."
"Sorry." The Doctor replied sheepishly.
"It's alright." You chuckled shaking your head before turning back to the shelves.
"You reckon, there's anything explosive here?" You asked turning off your torch and handing it back to the Doctor. The time lord shrugged and put the torches and his screwdriver back in his pocket. "There's only one way to find out."
He headed forward, but stopped in his step. "Although, try not to touch anything that looks like it could exploded."
You nodded, giving him a thumps up. "Understood."
Just now, with the light, you could see the actual size of the room. It was quite big, the shelves stretched on forever, just as the rest of this placed seemed. You wondered how long it would take for you to get back to the Tardis. Maybe this was like a dream where you walked but didn't really get ahead.
Lost in thought, you lost sight of the Doctor, who had vanished between the shelves and only reappeared when he noticed you weren't following him. A familiar fez, was already placed on his head.
"How do you keep finding these fez's?" You asked amused as it seemed wherever you went the was a fez.
"I only visit places with fez's, everywhere else is boring." He replied making you laugh. "Of course."
"Now, come on, we have a place to explore!" He nodded grabbing your arm and pulled you forward in excitement.
____
You don't exactly how you ended up in your situation: dressed in a fancy baby blue cape, made out of fabric that looked to expensive to even look at, highlighted by golden woven designs (you were certain it was real gold), alongside a santa hat on head, as well as a pair of antlers, and a pair of chunky funny looking boots, which looked very spacy, but despite their size where surprisingly easy to walk in. The Doctor didn't look much better in a big fur coat, with his fez and a big fancy scarf. He told you that he used to have a coat and a scarf just like it.
He had found a game boy and was busy playing Gallagher, while you had opened a new box to look through. You found a few more glowing rocks, still unsure what they were, but the Doctor reassured you that they were harmless, so you didn't really bother being too careful with them as you put the aside.
There was a mirror, which you put up to your face to look at the head decorations, making you chuckle at yourself. It was christmas time soon after all, so this felt very right to put on.
Too late had you noticed that the border of the hand mirror started to glow. Red vines weaved through the pink wood surrounding the mirror. You frowned at the movement, it was like snakes that weaved through the handle of the mirror, clasping you hand. You couldn't let go.
"Oi, Doctor?!" You shouted questioning, unsure of where this was a bigger threat or just something easily fixed. The Doctor didn't move, too entranced in the game. "Doctor!"
Your voice panicked when the mirror clouded over, no longer could you see yourself in its reflective surface. Finally the timelord looked up.
"Doctor, what is this mirror?" You asked, eyes wide in panic.
"What?" The Doctor asked striding over to you, the game boy sliding into the coat pocket. He goes to touch your hand which was held against the mirror by the starnge vines.
"Don't touch my hand." You advised, scared that he might get stuck to the mirror as well. His hand paused, as he inspected the mirror. He tried to hide his expression, but you caught on to the frown and slight widening of his eyes.
"Alright," he turned to you as your name fell from his lips with unfamiliar authority. "Stay calm, have you looked into the mirror?"
"Yes." You answered. "What does that mean?"
"It doesn't matter, I can fix this! I promise you." He replied, his hand clasping your shoulder as if you sent calmness towards your shaking form.
"Doctor." You pleaded waiting for a real answer.
"I can fix this!" He insisted as turned around starting to rummage through the boxes.
"Just stay there." He said after he saw you move your arm. But you didn't move, at least not intentionally. "I'm not moving I swear."
You tried to insiste while you felt your whole body jolt forward, disproving your statement. The red glow starts to get more profound and you feel yourself lose control over your movements. It was as if your hands intentionally move the mirror closer to your face. "Doctor! What is going on?"
The mirror got closer and closer as the Doctor jumped forward to grasp your arm and hold the mirror off your face. "Don't let it get too close."
That was the last thing you could hear. You could still feel and see, but the closer the mirror got, the less your senses seems to work. It was like the moments right before you fall asleep, nothing seemed real anymore, as if you were put in bubble wrap.
Then it was too late. Everything went black.
____
The sound of the alarm clock woke you up from your slumber. It was Monday again, too short of a weekend, as you told yourself.
It was a battle getting out of bed, and it took you another second of just sitting on the edge of your bed before you could jump of it.
For some reason your general height felt different, everything felt different, when it should be the same. Your familiar room felt odd, almost nostalgic. That was weird.
The familiar, annoyingly loud beeping of your brother's alarm next door rang louder than your own and didn't stop. That was normal, but it didn't feel that way.
You shook the weird feelings off as you got dressed for school and took you backpack downstairs into the kitchen, to eat. Your brother soon joined.
He looked different too. Younger. It was strange. The TV playing from the living room, was familiar, but different as well.
Everything was just so weird and you couldn't explain it at all.
"Alright, go brush your teeth, we gotta go, I have to get to work on time." Your dad's voice shook you out of your trance and you nodded. "Yep."
Your brother followed you into the bathroom. Again you were stuck in a trance and only brought out by your brother groaning. "Why did you have to put salt on my toothbrush, I can't get this off."
"When did I do that?" You asked, you memory sluggish.
"Last night." He frowned, and in a distant memory you remembered doing exactly that last night before you told him to brush his teeth. "Right."
Why was everything so weird?"
____
The Doctor panicked when you got pulled into the mirror. He didn't hesitate to rush out of the room, mirror in hand, running out of the room, down the ever stretching hallway.
The Tardis doors flew open before he could even reach the Tardis. It was as if the ship knew the urgency. Rushing towards the controls he set the mirror down for an analysis, while he looked over the screens.
He knew what kind of mirror that was. It was a cursed object, one of the witches of urbadu, as they were known through the galaxy. The mirror was created by a witch who couldn't handle the death of her child so she set herself back in time, into her past body. Although she wasn't fully conscious, she had the essence of knowledge of what had happened still there. So subconsciously she was able to stop the death of her child. Oddly enough it didn't hurt the timeline, but she did change it. But once her goal was done, the consciousness she used to be, vanished, it was all gone. Dead was her old self.
The Doctor didn't know what goal it might be for you to stay there, but he had to figure out how to get your consciousness back in control, before it died. Anxiously he overlooked the screens, hoping that the Tardis would be able to located your current consciousness, somewhere in your timeline. The Tardis refuses to visit your past, but your future was wide open for him, at least he hoped.
The Doctor looked back at the mirror. The object to pull you away from him broke the poor man's heart. He refused to let your consciousness die in a body that was no longer yours.
"I'm so sorry."
A heart lifting ping came from the screen and the Doctor jumped into action. The coordinates of time and space, looked into the navigation system and he sent the Tardis towards your location in hope of getting to you. Hoping you'd remember him.
When he arrived he didn't hesitate to jump down the stairs and out the Tardis.
The street he was on was fairly normal, when unfamiliar. It wasn't where you used to live, that much was clear. But then he spotted you. You looked as you always did, but different. A good different, he had to admit.
You seemed lighter, as if a ton of weight was no longer placed up on your shoulders. He looked straight at you, hesitated in his step as he watched you.
You didn't notice the strange man at the end of the street, until he stood in front of you, calling out your name. The stranger looked at you with familiarity. His strange clothes aside, he looked like a normal guy, one which seemed to know you. But you didn't recognise him. Although something inside you seemed to know thestranger.
"Hello?" You asked confused. "Can I help you?"
The stranger looked with hopeful eyes at you. Inspecting every inch of your face to a point where you felt weird in your own skin.
"Do you remember me?" He finally asked.
"I don't know." You answered before you realised. Some annoying part of your brain wanted to tell you that you did know him, but you knew deep down that you had never seen him in your life. It was a battle between two wills.
The stranger sighed. "You do, please remember."
"I don't think I do, sorry." You insisted, although it came out a bit pressed. Your head was a mess, the part of you who recognised him fighting against the rest of you.
"Do you know that box?" He asked, as if hoping that if you didn't recognise him then at least his box.
"What?" You frowned, confused about his question, but nevertheless following his finger towards a blue box. The Tardis, a voice inside your head whispered.
A sudden wave of memories made you gasp. It all came back to you, all at once.
"Doctor." You muttered and the man nodded in relief. "Yes, it's me."
His hand found your arm, as he pulled you forward into a tight hug. Still overwhelmed the the sudden memories you didn't return the hug still stuck in your head about it all.
"What happend?"
"You were pulled into a mirror, putting you back into your own timeline with no memory of what happened. The only thing that kind of stayed was your consciousness. Distant memories." He explained pulling back. "But I got you out."
You nodded, your thoughts miles away. "Mhm."
"I can explain it all better in the Tardis." He said, trying to pull you forward toward the blue box. But you stopped him, didn't move an inch, confusing the Doctor.
He frowned looking at you. "What is it?"
You didn't know how to answer. He was so eager to got back to a life you no longer knew, or technically never knew to begin with. It was more like a dream in your mind, you knew your current life, and the other life was never yours. It was a bit of yours, but not your current.
"That is not my life, Doctor." You replied looking at the ground with a frown. "It's someone else's."
"There is still that you in there." The Doctor insisted.
"Yes, but I don't want to go with you." You replied. "This me."
"But why?" He looked at you, his wide green eyes filled with pain as the inevitable made itself clear. He stepped closer towards you.
You hesitated, looking around you. The two of you still stood on the sidewalk in the middle of your neighbourhood, practically right next to your house.
"I like my life right now." You answer, your eyes on his chest as you refuse to meet his eyes. "I got to fix everything that I messed up as a kid. I finally got a life I am proud of."
"You didn't before?" The Doctor asked, thinking back to every adventure you shared.
"Not really. I feel like I got another chance on life. A chance to right every wrong I've had. I wore that stupid eye plaster, so my eyes as less messed up, I managed to have decent relationship with my parents, I... I saved my brother from himself. I got to be a better version of myself, a better person, Doctor."
Your thoughts filled with every regret you had in your past life. The ones you got to fix.
"I feel like I finally live a life I can be fully proud of, with no regrets." You announced, still unable to meet the Doctor's eyes. From his posture alone you could feel his sagging shoulders.
"Did you regret joining me?"
"No." You answered truthfully, although you mind is pretty messy, you knew for sure that you would never regret joining the Doctor. "You made me feel like I achieved something for the first time ever in my life, like I got to be somebody besides just another life wasted."
"Your not a life wasted, never was! No one is!" He insisted, his voice shaky from the the flowing of emotions
"It didn't feel like it." You replied eyes steady on the ground, unable to blink at the feelings that once overpowered you. You held back any tears.
"But now-" your voice broke. "I finally feel like a I live a life worth living, like I can finally be proud of myself. I got to be a better person."
The Doctor didn't say anything, although his words wanted reassure you,he knew that it didn't matter what he says as your feelings wouldn't be changed by that, so instead he pulled you into another hug. A tighter one, one which you returned. He kissed the side of your head, and buried his head in your neck as you did the same.
"Thank you, Doctor." You muttered. You wanted to thank him for making you feel special in a way you never realised you could. To thank him for all the places he took you. The opportunity to live a life only a handful of people were able to. Although you might not go back with him, he would always stay with you, as the man who gave you another chance of life. A chance to live a life you always wished to live.
Slowly you let go of each other. Tears glistening in boh your eyes, and sad smiled coverd your faces.
"I'm sorry, Doctor, but I can't leave this life." You replied pressing your lips together, rubbing his arms in comfort.
The Doctor nodded. "I know."
He stepped back his hand though kept a tight grip on your face. For one last time he leaned forward to kiss your forehead.
"This is a goodbye." You announced. The Doctor frowned "I don't like goodbyes"
Chuckling you nodded. "I know. That's why I won't say it. Maybe we'll see each other at some point again, so let's just stick to a 'see you later'."
"Yes, I like that." He nodded, his hands leave your face as he stepped back, down the curb of the sidewalk onto the street slowly moving back to the Tardis. "See you later!"
He waved before turning around, refusing to face you any longer, hiding a lone tear falling from his eyes.
You smiled after him for a moment, waiting for him to be out of earshot before whispering your own farewells.
"Goodbye, Doctor."

Okay but imagine a yandere Master/Missy (or even a yandere Doctor). Imagine them defying all laws of time and space to be with their "one true love", someone who doesn't even know they exist
Imagine how terrifying it would be to find out that not only has this person been obsessed with you and has stalking you for months, but they're a literal Timelord. So that means no matter where you go, or what you do, or how far you try to run, they will always find you in the end. Even if you die or escape, they will without a doubt somehow manage to bring you back, just because they love you so much
Bonus points if this crosses over into regenerations, meaning even if you do manage to get away from them there really is nobody who you can trust, because you never know when they're going to come back with a new form

LOVED your first kate stewart fic!!
a request/prompt for my queer UNIT boss babe: reader is an alien and has been hiding it from kate despite them having a Thing (relationship/flirting/other), out of fear that kate would be angry when she finds out. kate is indeed angry when she finds out, because reader's an alien? bc they were hiding it? 🤷🏻
feel free to change what you wish to!! 💚💚💚
Misplaced Doubt
Pairing: Kate Lethbridge-Stewart x fem!Reader
Word Count: 1200
Warning: NSFW being hinted (just minor), bit of anxiety
Summary: Kate finds out you're not human, but actually a Timelady. How will she react?
A/n: So, I made Reader a Timelady, cause it fits best with the physiology. Seems the most human. I settled with Timelady but there's no use of pronouns, so it could also be read as gn!reader. Let's just ignore that the Timelords are all dead. Hope you like it!! Would love a repost, like or comment. <3
■----------------------------------------■
You were torn. Obviously, you were aware that this approach was not the right one. Kate meant a lot to you, and you really liked her. So keeping secrets was wrong. But what were you meant to do?
At the beginning, you'd just been scared of telling her. Scared she'd reject you or wouldn't want you and at some point so much time had passed that it would have just been awkward to tell her. Cause how were you supposed to tell your girlfriend of nearly a year that you were a Timelady? That you had two hearts, could very well be a different person entirely tomorrow and would live to see her die.
Right, you just wouldn't. And if one day you'd regenerate or simply not grow old, well that was a problem for your future self.
Except it wasn't. In a very stupid string of events you'd managed to fall down the ladder when trying to change a light bulb and Kate was fussing. All her motherly instincts made themselves known, and she went slightly overboard with her worry.
"It's fine, Katie. I promise." You assured her as you sat in her couch, Kate kneeling beside you and looking worried. She was convinced you should see a doctor. You're sure they'd be delighted to find out about your second heart.
"You fell of the ladder. It's not fine." She insisted, eyebrows adorably furrowed and nervously biting her lip. A side of her anyone but you rarely got to witness.
"Look at me, I'm smiling and talking and breathing. I'm fine." You assure her again and smile at her as if to prove your point. But she was stubborn, you knew that. And if she had something in her mind there was no way going around it.
"No, I'll take you to the Doctor. I won't accept a no." You sighed, knowing that there was a good possibility your little, actually not so little, secret was about to come out.
"Kate, we can't go to the Doctor." You said, sighing and defeated. She had just gotten up and turned away to get her stuff when you spoke. So she turns back around and looks down at you confused.
"Why not?" She asked sceptically and crossed her arms. You sat up a bit in the couch, already feeling your body easily heal whatever had been hurt by the fall. You looked at her apologetically, as if to apologise for what was yet to come.
"I haven't been entirely truthful to you, Kate." You sighed and rubbed your face, elbows propped up on your knees. You looked up at Kate and gestured to the armchair across from you. "Please, sit down."
And she did. She sat down, though she still looked sceptical. Her arms were crossed, and her eyes fixed on you. You felt your hearts beat rapidly in your chest the tell-tale signs of anxiety rising in you.
"There's something I haven't told you. And I'm sorry for keeping that from you. I just didn't know how..." You sighed and closed your eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. "I'm a Timelady, Kate." There, it's out. No going back now.
After what felt like forever you opened your eyes and looked at Kate. She hadn't said a word. The silence was excruciating. The look on her face broke your heart, and you were sure it was all over now. She looked so hurt. So heartbroken. And it was your fault. She untangled her crossed arms and rubbed her palms over her jeans, then she stood up and paced up and down in front of you.
"How could you not tell me that?" She asked and besides the hurt there was an obvious layer of anger in her voice. She stopped pacing and crossed her arms again, looking down at you in the couch. She even looked angry.
"Listen, Kate I didn't mean to keep a secret or anything..." She scoffed and didn't even let you finish. She couldn't even look at you.
"You didn't want to keep a secret? Well, newsflash, you kept a secret." She shot back, and you could feel yourself shrink with every word you said. You'd ruined everything. You'd been dishonest with her and why would she want to be with someone who's not even human. It had been eleven wonderful months. But that was over now. Great.
"I'm sorry, Kate." You said again, practically sinking into yourself, eyes downcast. Silence. When you look up you nearly expected her to be gone. But she was still there. Her arms hanging at her sides and the hurt back in her features. It was killing you.
"Don't you trust me?" She asked and it sounded so broken. You looked at her confused. Of course, you trusted her. With your life. "I work for UNIT for fuck's sake. I can keep a secret.
"Course you can. That's not-..." you watched her for a second. She seemed hurt that you hadn't told her, hurt that you'd kept a secret. But...she didn't seem repulsed or disappointed or like she wanted to reject you.
"I didn't want to lose you. You're too important." Now it was her time to look confused. Silence, again. Until she sinks back into the armchair, this time leaning forward. Towards you, a good sign.
"Loose me?" She asks with that adorable high tone that she always used when she was curious about something she didn't quite understand. Her brows were furrowed as she waited for an answer.
"Yeah. Loose you." You said and shrugged helplessly. "I'm not human, Kate. Above that, I'm a Timelady. It could might as well happen that you come back from work next week and I have a different face, a different personality." You explained, dreading the second she'd understand the full impact of this. But it didn't seem to come.
"But you'd still be you." She said as if it was the easiest thing in the world. How could she just not mind at all? People would talk if she suddenly had a 'new' partner. She can be alright with that. Can she?
"But, how can you just not care?" You asked dumbfounded. Confusion written all over your face.
"I'm pissed that you kept that from me. And you'll have some making up to do for that. But I love you. I'd never leave you because of something like that. I fell in love with who you are. Not the face or the body you have." She explained, more gently now. Then she even smirked slightly. "Not to say I don't appreciate the body." You blushed slightly, still a bit shocked by her nonchalant approach to all this. This woman was truly remarkable.
"I love you so much, Katie. I'm sorry I doubted you." You said and reached over to gently take her hand in yours. "Let me start with some of those amends I have to make." You said and pulled her to her feet, immediately wrapping an arm around her waist and pressing her flush against you. She giggled and looked up at you with those beautiful eyes, filled with love and the world was back to being alright.

BAM headcanons for your little guy????
i can always count on you, whoop <333
i'm thinking ab the tenth doctor real hard bc of that novel i just read, so imma drop some headcanons ab him and his companions, and probably 14 too bc i'm feeling it.
ten's got a little bit of a chew stim / oral fixation. this is inspired both by the number of times he holds objects in his mouth in the show, and him chewing the end of his stethoscope in Prisoner of the Daleks.
fourteen, meanwhile, learns he has a LOT of a chew stim once he's settled into his new life with the nobles. the discovery unfortunately comes at the cost of sylvia's second favorite spatula, which 14 absentmindedly chewed a hole into while making himself eggs one morning.
tentoo and rose celebrate the day she and nine first met as their anniversary. when they get married (through a lowkey traditional timelord wedding to "celebrate his heritage"), they make sure to hold the ceremony on that same day.
one january day, a few years into their relationship, rose is telling tentoo how worried and stressed she is about her job prospects. tentoo reassures her by saying "i think you're gonna have a great year :)" which suddenly unlocks the memory she'd had of meeting ten on new year's, 2005. since tentoo doesn't remember this, they both conclude that it must have been the actual doctor visiting her sometime after the metacrisis, and through her description of the events, tentoo silently realizes that ten was there because he was dying.
14 has a sleep pattern of about one or two nights of restless insomnia, followed by one night of deep, babylike sleep that lasts for 10 hours if uninterrupted. it's not uncommon, on these nights, to find him asleep in front of a project he's been working on, as he is the only one in the house who has not yet recognized this pattern.
as a time lord, he doesn't need to sleep this much in theory, but my mans is so tired, and for the first time like, ever, he has the space to actually catch up on lifetimes of lost sleep.
time lord dreams tend to be five-dimensional, but the trends can change with regenerations. for instance, nine's dreams were only ever three-dimensional, and always in black and white. ten's dreams have a wild range of possibilities, from so photorealistic he confuses them with real memories, to so abstract that the experience is more akin to being the subject of a picasso painting. he dreams every time he falls asleep, even if he's just taking a nap. 14's dreams are always photorealistic.
donna snores. not super loud, but enough to be obvious to anyone but her. ten always found the rhythmic sound soothing; pulsing white noise like that of the tardis. he'd often fall asleep in the same room as her because of it. all of this applies to 14 as well, to the extent that, some mornings, donna and shaun find him curled up into a ball asleep at the foot of their bed like a dog.
martha and the nobles keep very well in touch, to the occasional horror of 14 who has no idea how to read her and feels pathetically awful about how he treated her during her time as a companion. martha honestly still believes he's the most amazing thing, but she's gotta admit that watching him sweat bullets every time she addresses him feels kinda cathartic, so she has no qualms putting off that talk.
martha has also since pivoted back to the medical field, where she is doing quite well, thank you for asking.
since we see ten in the pjs from "The Christmas Invasion" again in "Smith and Jones", i choose to believe that he liked them so much that he simply kept them. i imagine the conversation with jackie went "howard won't miss these, will he?" "miss what?" "thought not. okay thanks, bye!"
i also imagine ten makes an active effort to sleep in the pajamas as often as he's able. he sleeps about thrice as much as nine ever did, all because he's obsessed with the fun ritual of wearing them to bed.
ten actually has a mild but sensitive allergy to cats. he never realized this, not because he didn't ever have the opportunity to, but because he was always too preoccupied to piece together that the reason his psychic functions felt fuzzy and the psychic paper used a misplaced modifier and the skin near his collarbone itched was because he was in the same room as a cat five minutes ago.
this is why it took him a second to piece together what exactly was off with rose in "New Earth": his ambient telepathy was too fuzzed over from the cat nurses to notice rose's brainwaves were wrong.
having a human brain, tentoo's memory faculties are still giga-impressive for a human, but not nearly as robust as his timelord counterpart's. he still remembers events, emotions, and concepts clearly, his biggest regressions being in the categories of exact terminologies and complex mathematical processes. the loss he's most distraught about is the vast majority of languages he once knew. he can still speak and understand all earth languages and gallifreyan fluently, but his knowledge of xenolinguistics is relegated to the occasional profound vocab word he remembers fondly.
a lot of these ended up being sleep-related for whatever reason; maybe i just want the man to rest </3
