i complained about fiver needing new pants and actual insane person (affectionate) @chasing-kitsune spent like 3 million gil and bought me an entire new outfit of high level gear so now we're in fiver's jean jacket era

#so basically#at summer camp whilst i was counseling i saw two things#there was one counselor who we'll call “sarah” and she had only one camper bc reasons well call her camper “suzie”#now suzie is an INCREDIBLY good kid. shes super smart and kind and shes sincerely smiling almost all the time#shes super well-behaved and polite and does everything shes asked and THEN some#and sarah LOVES her. she is CONSTANTLY (understandably) bragging about how cool her camper is and how happy she is to have her as a camper#on the other side of that weve got “terry” and his camper “johnny”#now johnny is ALSO a really smart and nice and polite and cool kid#and terry is ALSO super proud of his camper and brags about him loads and is so happy to have him as a camper#there is one key difference though#sarah always bragged to suzie's face. she told suzie how cool she was how smart she was and how nice she was#sarah would be standing right next to suzie and loudly telling her friends how lucky she was to have suzie as a camper#terry on the other hand bragged behind johnny's back#johnny had NO WAY of knowing how happy terry was to have him as a camper or how smart he was or how cool he was#one time i watched terry talk to johnny and then while johnny was still there whisper to another counselor about how smart he was#so yeah#idk why that is#stick stories#three pigeons in a trench coat

#mine#today was day 2 of job and it seems like a really good deal...the benefits are CRAZY#depending on the healthcare plan i pick i could literally pay $0 a month as my premium#great day to be single with no kids <3#and the PTO is great and they have short term disability insurance which seems like a great option for when i get hysto#other benefits are all awesome and i know theres upward mobility which is really big for me#theres a part of me thats like...well...what if i did this job for a while...got my hysto next year...#saved up...got promoted...#then at some point move out...i was eyeing REDACTED CITY IN MY STATE#as a place to live especially post promotion (assuming i would get one) when i have more $$...#just a good way to sort of start my real adult life and all#but then i have an interview next week with a umm. i think it was a community college#over in another part of the state and then i got an email from a DIFFERENT cc#idk if we can interview because of schedule stuff we'll see. but that job pays GREAT money especially for my age#so im like ummm!!! hello...but i'm also not sure about the location...#i would definitely interview at least once just to get a feel for it#but im like arrrghhhh so much uncertainty...#raaaaggghhh#i've spent all summer saying i just want to skip ahead to the part where i have the job im sticking with#and everything is settled and nice#and it seems we're getting closer to that point but as we get closer i get more and more nervous#URRGH

A wip of The Silly (Dream from my Dream × Fresh thing I'm trying to do)
#he's really thin and skinny#but istg it's on purpose#I don't only draw twinks.#Dream's body is taking a physical toll from Injuries (pre-story) and from hosting Fresh (mid-story) so not as much magic is able to#present for him to call on. he looks smaller and is more fragile than before#This is also like... a fusion but not???#Fresh just... inhabits Dream. like not in a weird way. he just tried to use Dream as a host and ended up not being able to so they exist#in a weird stasis of Bonded but not fully merged.#idk I just like the idea of Dream being super uptight and stressed all the time trying to be A Guardian and then#getting into a situation where he just can't keep pushing himself so Fresh is *literally* the voice of reason in his head telling him to#take a break!!!#and Dream doesn't ever like... stop being a Guardian. he just gets help from Fresh while he's healing and then Fresh decides to stick around#and share the vessel and such!!! hense the outfit on the right.#also Dream unironically enjoys the Swear filter that Fresh has around him. makes him more comfortable.#and Fresh likes having Dream's vessel when he can take control because it doesn't decay like other forms do when he pulls on magic#Nightmare hates fighting post-story Dream because it's like a normal annoying fight but with Fresh doing commentary and#being Dream's second set of eyes basically.#Dreameater#thinking I might nickname this guy Tulpa?#because I've been thinking about him fir years but also because the combo of a dream and a parasite gives tulpa vibes#we'll see#gonna call this the Dreameater au tho#dreameater au

weekend melancholy is starting to kick in >~<
#im gonna go and do my food shop etc to keep myself busy and hopefully my 2nd meds will kick in and we'll be able to handle it together#i think i kind of do this so regularly bc my brain is just processing everything bc i dont rly have time during the week#all cool tho im doing good overall def on the up n i feel way more capable of coping emotionally which is nice. i <3 meds#also.. possibly settling on the idea that i might be agender. very tentatively. lots of experiences n thoughts coming together rn#ive been reacting in unexpected ways to a lot of gendered shit atm which has made me reconsider the way i think abt myself#but very difficult to articulate it to myself let alone anyone else. so ive been sitting with it for now until it precipitates#gender stuff has never rly affected me much or ive never been in a place to explore it which is why i havent thought abt it super hard#but im not the sort of person who needs a lot of internal exploration to figure out my identity like im v self aware tbh#and while im wildly indecisive abt most things in my life for some reason i never have been abt stuff like this. i learned abt lesbianism#like idk 9 years ago-ish and straight away was like yeah that makes sense for me. never looked back since#n similarly ive experienced forms of gender dysphoria before n just immediately dealt with it symptomatically n moved on#its never been smth to agonise abt for me like i know what makes me comfortable in my skin so theres no question abt doing it#and ik im privileged to be able to do that. and also it helps that gender for me is mostly divorced from external perceptions#+ that im v autistic so social pressures dont stick to me very well. i mean yeah i was bullied for it as a kid but i was stubborn asf#so yeah from the moment i realised i was genuinely uncomfortable/upset abt it earlier this week i was like okay. lets try this instead#its given me pretty instant relief from any distress i was feeling so far which is nice. rare respite from one of my torture labyrinths#just testing out internally whether it frames things more clearly n makes me feel more myself/at peace before i choose to stick w the idea#but not gonna do a whole coming out fanfare either way. dont think i wanna change how ppl interact w me + im still a dyke#so i dont consider it relevant to anyone else unless they share a similar understanding of gender to me. or if we're v close#ill prolly broach it w other trans friends eventually bc insert philosophers talking image. but to everyone else its business as usual#happy to play my cis-sona at work. + w new queer ppl i meet ive been introducing myself recently w mirrored pronouns instead of any/all#and i think i prefer that. virtually indistinguishable but theres smth nice abt inviting ppl to recognise me the way they do themselves#like translating + localising a non-gendered language into a gendered one... simplifying decisions abt how to perceive me#and ofc ppl are still gonna perceive me however but idc much unless we're actually friends. the rest is all a performance anyway#doubtful anyone on here ever has reason to refer to me but if u do for some reason... im freeloading off ur pronouns now btw <3#but yeahhh. much 2 think abt. i need to read more alien/ai sci fi.. non-human sentience has been such a comforting concept lately#but yea tldr i woke up one morning this week like damn im prolly agender but i have a full time job to go to rn so idc abt that#.diaries#okkkk my dex is kicking in im no longer on the verge of tears lets go get these groceries wooohoooo

a couple (3, to be precise) of my rosemary and lavender seeds have germinated and they are. SO TINY. I'm in love.
#I did find out after sowing them that rosemary tends to not grow true to type so uhhhh we'll see how that goes lmao#I might just buy a rosemary plant or two anyway#I need to stop by the garden store for some more sticks for my sweet pea's so I might just get some rosemary while I'm at it#also we're having the first real summery day of the year (24 degrees!! sunight and blue-ish skies!!!!!)#and I'm having crackers with cream cheese and strawberry plus a cupe of chamomile tea with honey for breakfast#and I'm watching all my seedlings and the trees outside#and my neighbours are quiet rigt now and just. aaaahhhh this is the kind of life I really love
