I like to think that Koda (despite facing gods) is weirded out by the other versions of Ichor, so it's hard to get them to come to events! Tulpa and Pretender have heard a bazillion things about Koda (Ichor's a proud monster,<3) so they're curious to finally meet the little human! Koda was bribed via candy cane.

Sora's grave is his crystal form if you lose the fight. And in this AU Riku is grieving his friend death. In the sanctuary, he stayed here to wait for the good timeline to save Sora. Sora's dreameater keep him company but in the dark part its only horrific versions of the Nightmares.

say they're originally some sort of metaphysical species like the heliobi, but somehow sustained an injury and decided to seek treatment at the luofu as a last resort. it ends with an experimental solution with someone who'd gotten info about the experiments of the sanctus medicus (like how in the quest, dan shu wanted to get immortal bodies from phantylia so bad but they'd exhausted all other means of artificially producing them—and then some clown disposed of the records badly like an IDIOT)

and it kind of works ∘ ∘ ∘ ( °ヮ° ) !! reader's form is tied to and sustained by the new body like an extremely codependent version of heliobi-possesed ingenium, but it requires the consumption of 'dreams' to support itself. mara is an overload of memories that morphs the mortal form when it hits a max output, so what if some other form of memories, aka dreams and the emotions that they come with can be changed into a source capable of sustaining a mortal form? dreameating is definitely not a form of vampirism haha what? this was totallt not inspired by your previous posts about vampire jing yuan no siree i have no idea what you're talking abou

but anyway. they meet after a battle of some sort where jing yuan gets bonked so fucking hard he gets coma-ed. maybe a side of possible mara onset because if I was a disciple of sanctus medicus you can bet everything in your blog that mara would be the first thing I'd turn to to fuck people over

I didn’t think about the dream sequence in detail, but what I do know is that jing yuan's subconscious (possibly the actual consciousness too?) would briefly interact with dreamwalking!reader. the natural instinct to having something poke about in your mind in a vulnerable state is to crush it like a cockroach, no shit, but what do you do when it really doesn’t seem to have any malicious intent, and somehow seems to be ,,, helping?

(but their brand of dreamwalking isn't meant for harmless brushes—its meant to devour, to rip sustenance from a mind no matter how guarded it is, to patch the endless yawning abyss that hungers for dreams to keep reader's body from failing on them. reader hasn't been gorging themselves or taking as little as possible because they understand that some things are unavoidable, that they can't keep themself or their patients alive if they're teetering on the edge of frailty all the time. some things have to be done, and they refuse to feel any guilt over it.)

but yeah !! me when I fuck up and accidentally fall into someone's dream, and have to play along with the disjointed imaginary going ons to drag said someone out of it without destabilising everything enough to immediately flashbang them with mara.

Let 🔥 anon cook!!!! This was such a treat to read during brunch bc there’s so much you can explore with the dreameater concept plus a highly perceptive and seasoned arbiter-general.

What would the feeling of having your dreams eaten feel like afterward for the victim? Sort of like with a vampire bite that could leave a physical wound, dull or searing ache, effects of blood loss etc etc.

Could a dream being eaten, since it’s not a simple and easy procedure, cause some sort of ache or short term problem for the person? Maybe it��s leaves a short period of a few days where the person feels like they’ve forgotten something that they’re sure they should have remembered. Like phantom limb but for a dream perhaps. Like a dull headache that isn’t severe but annoyingly present for a few days as the mind tries to cope with the loss of something that was supposed to be processed. Maybe these kind of issues can only be seen in Jing Yuan due to his mental fortitude and strength or bc he was still under whereas your usual patients undergo a different process to prevent these. Dire times and desperate measures to ensure the general is saved.

And the dream walking would be interesting too! How would the reader handle it? Is there a game plan? If most dreams will have strangers we may have seen in our peripheral during the day, will you try to play it smart and blend in as a filler person in the dream? Trying to blend in?

Perhaps your targeted dream eating of sequences in his mind that may be contributing to mara even has repercussions for you afterwards. Maybe like how you mentioned you get ill afterwards like when eating something of poor quality (due to mara effects). A necessary sacrifice that you aren’t quite sure why you felt inclined to do. Perhaps it brings your body vessel at risk since it is one of xianzhou natives’ qualities. Would it be susceptible to being mara-struck?

Kingdom Hearts Royal AU

A comprehensive guide to the various Kingdoms and some of their inhabitants!

The Kingdom of Dreams

Situated amongst the clouds, a place constantly blessed by beautiful weather, eternal rainbows during the day and beautiful meteor showers at night. All Dreameaters are born here and there's one for every human in every world, for their role is to guard their sleep! The people from this realm are actually hybrids between humans and Dreameaters so they do not need a guardian, but they still take one as a companion. The main role of the people from this kingdom is to help and overlook the job of the Dreameaters, making sure everyone's dreams are sweet and fend off the attacks of the Nightmares. The royals have powers over sleep and dreams!

Residents:

‌Prince of Dreams Riku: 17yo, well versed in both combat and music he's especially fond of fencing and the piano. He loves to fly close to the stars above the sea of clouds but deep down he wishes to see something more than just rainbows and nice weather, although he would never confess it to anyone to not sound ungrateful. He would've preferred to attend the martial training school but as the king to be that was impossible for him, so he decided to excel in fencing, magic and found an outlet in the piano. He has the highest aptitude for dream magic and is very in tune with his Dreameater side, being able to enter and modify other people's dreams. Reliable, strong willed, kind with a secret desire for adrenaline and just a little bit of disregard for the rules left from his rebellious phase that he tries to keep at bay. Maybe he's a little too hard on himself...

‌Princess of Sleep Naminé: 15yo adopted into the royal family when she was but an infant, it's almost as if she was born there. Beloved by all, she was always a sick child, confined between the walls of the castle and forced to be homeschooled. Only at fifteen was she finally strong enough to face the journey to Scala and able to fulfill her dream about attending school, although not without her bodyguard always near to catch her if she fell. With an incredible talent for painting, she'd spend most of her free time doing just that alongside trying to sneak out without being noticed. Despite not being born there, she has the highest aptitude for sleep magic, and her medium is drawing. She's able to lull people into a peaceful sleep and interpret their innermost thoughts and worries as she sketches their dreams. This, paired with an experienced Dreameater make healing people through Dreams possible! Soft spoken, delicate, with a secret spirit of adventure and just a little bit of mischief in her.

‌Royal Guard Terra: 25yo, Naminé's personal bodyguard since she was a child, he has never left her side not even once. A child prodigy in combat he became a Royal Guard at fifteen. He looks tough but is the sweetest just the sweetest guy with a penchant for baking and gardening.

‌Royal Shadow Mamoru: 17yo, Riku's twin brother affected by the Nightmare Syndrome that renders him unable to have dreams nor enter them but forces him in a loop of nightmares every time he sleeps. This condition has rendered him unfit for the throne, for he cannot wield the power of his Dreameater' side, but since Naminé came around, she was able to at least grant him a mostly peaceful, empty slumber with her Sleep Magic. During his time in school a certain someone helped him to harness his Nightmares to form a weapon, making him feel at least partially less useless. He vowed to protect his siblings with his newfound power but couldn't bring himself to take the part of the Royal Guard, seeing himself more suited to fit the role of the Shadow following his twin's every step.

‌Étoile Noire Xion: 15yo, "youngest étoile of the Darkness Kingdom's Royal Ballet Academy who's been traveling throughout all the worlds in tournée. She then proceeded to get a role in a production taking place in the Kingdom of Dreams and thus transferred there." That's what her official profile will tell anyone about her, but is that really the truth? A bit of a tomboy with a composed and serious aura about her given by the strenuous training, she'd actually love to be able to goof around with her friends and roll around in the mud with her dog, but alas, she has orders to obey...

The Darkness Kingdom

Contrary to popular belief, this kingdom isn't inherently evil. Darkness is essential for the extremely delicate balance of the universe and its purpose is to challenge Light over and over in order for it to grow stronger and brighter. It's also the place where the Nightmares are born, each as a counterpart to a Dreameater and with the specific role of grounding and keeping safe humans through fear. The ones born in this kingdom are hybrids between humans and Nightmares and the royals have power over darkness, shadows and can tamper a bit with the heart and mind.

Residents:

‌King of Darkness Xehanort: 60yo, cryptic and all knowing thanks to the All Seeing Eye, he took it upon himself to act as the bad guy in order to maintain the balance between Light and Darkness. He uses the Eye to know what needs to be done for that higher goal, regardless of morality or personal desires. He was once less mindful of following everything to a T and the price he had to pay made him who he is today.

‌Prince of Shadows Xehanort II: 17yo, the young and dangerously clever heir to the throne of Darkness has a calm and collected demeanor that hides witty comebacks and a sharp tongue. Well versed in every subject and sport, you'll mostly find him hiding away behind a chessboard inside a library, mostly playing himself for he has no interest in making friends. Bestowed with a tremendous amount of power since birth his area of expertise is Time Manipulation.

‌Army General Ansem: 37yo, highest ranking member of the Army of Darkness has led his Kingdom to countless victories against their enemies. Quiet and reserved one would not be able to tell right away that he's a fierce fighter, just like nobody would expect to see him talk non-stop when a topic of his interest arises. Extremely in tune with his Darkness, he's able to wave it into his voice or the melodies he dexterously plays on the violin, and use it to sway his enemies' hearts into submission. Hencan create shadow soldiers known as Heartless.

‌Army's Chief Intelligence Officer Xemnas: 37yo, at the head of the secret intelligence team shadowing the Army of Darkness and twin brother of Ansem, he's a remarkable puppeteer behind the shadows. Kinda like his brother, he's a poised man, but unlike him he rarely slips out of his composed persona and only allows himself to express his feelings partially when alone up on the astronomy tower. Someone who knows him well would say he has a flare for the dramatics though. He has a strong aptitude for using the shadows within someone's heart to call forth a manifestation of it called Nobody.

‌Royal Shadow Vanitas: 18yo, the Shadow of the king, a brash boy always itching for a fight with a mysterious aura about him. He's not part of the royal family, yet he's been to the king's side since a very young age, calling him Master and following his every step, learning directly from him hiw to harness his own darkness to create his own personal monsters known as Unversed. The truth is that he was born to the royal family of the Light Kingdom alongside his twin but got kidnapped as part of a great scheme by King Xehanort himself. His birth had been foretold by the All Seeing Eye as a cursed one and his destiny was to become the new vessel for Darkness itself. He seems to happily embrace this destiny, but is that really so?

‌Royal Shadow Axel: 25yo, the Shadow of the prince and he is not particularly happy about it given the contrast in their personalities. He's a peppy, bright guy with a tendency of getting himself into trouble and a lazy attitude towards work. That being said, when he puts his mind into it he's one of the best at his job. Originally from Radiant Garden, he doesn't particularly care about this whole Light vs Darkness thing, preferring to live in the shades of red and following his own moral compass. He can manipulate flames.

‌Royal Shadow Mizu: 28yo, the Shadow of Ansem to both of their chagrin. Not born but man-made through a secret art only known by the alchemists of the Darkness Kingdom, she was to be a replacement for the king's estranged daughter. All her life she knew this and all her life she trained to be better than her originial and yet at night she wishes to be her own person, to be able to enjoy her own things. Her shadows fuse with water, granting her power over it. Stoic and never out of place, she secretly likes cute things.

‌Royal Shadow Saïx: 25yo, the Shadow of Xemnas, his own personal god. Objective and a bit mean with a straight face, his bottled up feelings will be his undoing. A hard worker and the best right hand man someone could ask for. His devotion is a double edged sword. Swayed by the Moon herself, he's able to enter a berserker mode if he uncaps his repressed emotions.

The Light Kingdom

A bright and colourful archipelago swimming in the most peaceful of seas. It's the biggest and busiest kingdom where Light is the main source of power and currency! By spreading cheer, happiness and all sorts of other positive emotions, the people of this kingdom generate Light Energy and by doing good deeds they gain Light Crystals (the currency) but careful! They won't appear if your heart isn't really in it, so no crystals for the greedy! The royals here are the friendliest and constantly mingle with the population to stay in contact with them and their needs. They can turn Light into weapons and gain power by harnessing the positive energy from their heart and those of the ones they have positively affected.

Residents:

‌Prince of Light Sora: 16yo, heir to the throne of Light he's a genuine and sincere boy who loves to goof around and is just a little bit of a slacker. Despite that, he'll never back down in front of a challenge or in the face of injustice, always ready to lend a helping hand. He's always sneaking away from royal duties and classes to go hang out with friends and it's an usual sight for the people of his kingdom to catch glimpses of him walking amongst them without a royal guard. Those who've known him since he was a kid have learned to treat him like any lther kid and he absolutely loves the feeling of being just like everybody else for a little while. Magic is not his forte and he had to train harder than any other memeber of the royal family before he was able to bend Light into a weapon, but his real strength, the one that truly sets him apart from the rest, lies in his Heart. Heart Magic comes as naturally to him as breathing, he converts positive emotions into power without even thinking and his bright aura is able to strengthen those around him in return, rendering him both unstoppable in a fight and a future great leader in battle.

‌Trainee Royal Shadow Roxas: 15yo, Sora's younger brother, he got the same sunny smile and penchant for having fun but he's slightly more reserved especially around those he does not know and he definitely has the worst temper between the two. Naturally defensive towards his older but way too kind brother, he began getting offended and fighting in his stead since a very young age. When he gets pissed it's like a complete 180⁰ as he goes from 0 to 100 in just an instant. This aptitude added to his rebellious teen spirit is also what made him decide to become a Royal Shadow rather than becoming some boring court figure or guard (he also thought the outfits were cool as fuck).

Radiant Garden

A small world at the heart of the universe. Despite its size it is one of the most important kingdoms, for it's the only one to have portals to all other worlds, thus making it the hub for all sorts of commerce. Only the queen is bestowed with the power of opening and closing the gates to the other worlds. Radiant Garden is also the main world in the Seven Hearts Constellation, a group of planets each governed by a Princess of Hearts. The remaining six princesses are the main allies and advisors of the Radian Queen.

Residents:

‌Radiant Queen Kairi: 15yo, orphan of both parents and the one chosen by the Key of All Worlds, she had to be appointed queen at a very young age when the regent Ansem The Wise passed away. Despite her responsibilities, she retained the free spirit of a teenager and although she takes her role seriously, she loves nothing more than some time to act more her age, hanging out with friends and going to school. She's kind, graceful and fun loving with a big fighting spirit and has been going through training since she turned twelve after a lot of whining to her over protective Royal Guard. She has an affinity for water and life magic which she uses to help her flowers to grow, making them the most beautiful in the Seven Realms.

‌Royal Guard Aqua: 28yo, the Royal Guard of the Radiant Queen, a loyal knight serving her since she was but a baby. She tends to be too overprotective of her, trying to shield her from the many dangers that come with being a queen. Kind but stern, she always puts herself last, hiding away her real feelings behind a wall of ice just like she did with her passion for ballet.

Scala ad Caelum

‌A neutral world of floating cities above crystalline water and a clear blue sky. Here towers the school all royals from all over the galaxy must attend from childhood until adulthood. It's also common for treaties, celebrations and parties to be held here often in order to maintain civil relationships between the kingdoms. The subjects taught by the masters here range from science and history to combat and magic but also etiquette, music and royal duties. Hosting students from so many different corners of the galaxy, the school is of the boarding type, meaning they live there and return home for vacations if possible. In order to encourage inter-kingdoms goodwill there is no further division beside the age range for studies. The courses are all the same up until they reach sixteen years of age, after that point those destined to be kings and queens will take more courses tailored for them, while those who want to undertake a military education will switch to another school entirely.

Land of Departure

‌Another neutral world, this time holding a school specialized in combat. Here are trained those who will join the army, the Royal Guards to be but also future spies and assassins. This is also the place where second princes and other royals can join once they turn sixteen and will stay here for as long as it will take to train them into their destined role.

Residents:

‌Master Eraqus: 60yo, actually a royal from Scala, he dedicated his life to teaching, immersing himself fully in the job to try and alleviate the mistakes of his youth. A wise and caring man with a stern and composed façade with a powerful disdain for the Darkness Kingdom. No one could guess, by looking at him, that he once was a carefree, lazy and loud boy with a bright smile always on his face...

‌Royal Guard Instructor Ventus: 18yo, youngest instructor the Land of Departure has ever seen, a prodigy in combat with an incredible affinity for the Light and Wind magic. A sweet smile always on his face, he's a bit of an airhead with a tendency to oversleep and he hates being treated like a child due to being the youngest amongst instructors. Despite his soothing presence and happy demeanor he feels like there's something amiss inside of him and most of his time awake is spent fighting off a heavy daze. At times he feels like there's something calling to him from beyond the mist that fills his sleep.

Sebek's voice carried much louder than Silver's, causing the boys to stop their play fighting over Sebek's arm, before laughing. "What.....the kid on the ground?" Sebek glanced over to see Silver curled up on his pillow, snoring softly, before grinning widely a the two boys and putting his hands- ....hand on his hip. "I'd give it back right now if I were you! He's charging up!" "He's sleep-" The boy's retort was cut short as his brother sniffled, starting to weep. Immediately he turned to tend to his brother, concerned, but the boy just laughed softly. "Remember when...." He started rambling incoherently about a memory he had forgotten, a positive experience that caused his brother to get emotional as well, hugging him. In doing so, he dropped the bone that was Sebek's arm, giving him time to run in and grab it, shake the saliva off it, and try to reattach it before poking at Silver's back gently with his shoe. "I don't get why you don't just scare them like everyone else woulda done..." Silver stirred slowly, rubbing his eyes, before smiling sleepily at Sebek. "You got your arm back, and nobody got hurt. Why does it matter?" Sebek just huffed in response. "I'll take that as a thank you. Now come on, let's go back to father before they decide they want another bone to chew on."
