My mom thought we were going to wait until tomorrow to get all the decorations out of the shed and set up the tree but while she and my dad were visiting my niece today I went ahead and did it all (with a little help from Steve of course). I am….so tired but also so happy it’s finally done!!
#it really doesn’t look like a lot but my god getting all that stuff out of the shed#and up then up onto the porch and into the house#I am so strong and sexy#even though I accidentally broke one of my favorite ornaments#it’s not a sentimental one just a pretty one we’ve had for years#and iiiiiiii broke it!!!#but other than that no disasters or fires!!!#i also got a some actual work work done today and some laundry#so very productive day#there’s still more decorations I brought from the shed but i’m too tired to do those right now#the tree and carrying all of it up the house was the big thing so the rest can wait til tomorrow#anyway hope everyone’s having a good week and enjoying whatever weather you’ve got!

I love Tumblr because nothing matters here truly. There are no influencers. Having followers doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a site where people post their sporadic thoughts and rb pretty pictures. Anyone who thinks any of this matters is woefully missing the point

a big lesson for me was learning that most things are not as fragile as I’d believed. missing a class, or turning in a bad assignment, won’t instantly destroy your professor’s opinion of you. accidentally saying something harsh won’t make your friend want to end the friendship. it takes work to repair these things - it takes effort and research and sometimes a sincere apology - but you can do that because they’re not irreparably broken. what you’ve worked to build, in academia and in relationships and in life, is stronger and more enduring that your mind may teach you to believe. don’t let imagined fragility lead you to giving up

the only--the ONLY!--thing I had on my to do list for today was work on any of the commissioned paintings that I need to get done. That was it!
So instead I've sculpted a bunch of clay leaves to make into a mobile, gave a kitten a bath, rearranged the sunroom and repotted a few plants, watered my tomatoes, got some eggs from the doves, read a book, did some laundry, made a book press, made a video about making a book press, bought a detail sander and halloween candy, taught Vice to do a double high five, accidentally melted my gardening gloves, went to the animal shelter, and forgot to eat for the entire day.
So I'm pleased to announce that all executives are functioning at 0% capacity, as per normal.

Donnie held fast to the hope that his brothers were still alive for as long as he could, painstakingly sifting through every possible solution that his genius mind could come up with even as the rest of his family was slowly starting to accept Leo & Mikey's absence as a permanent thing.
He spent countless hours reviewing the footage, scouring every remote corner of the internet for answers, chasing down every lead only to be met by dead-end after frustrating dead-end. He kept searching until his brain had run dry of ideas and his body was too sleep deprived to properly function anymore, leaving him staring at a blank search bar as the hours passed him by.
In truth, Donnie never once lost confidence in his reasoning; what he saw when the portal collapsed was, in his mind, irrefutable proof that his brothers were still out there - somewhere. And if he could just find them, then he knew there was a chance they could yet be saved. ...But it was that elusive "if" that dangled precariously over his head like Damocles' sword; wire wearing thinner every day,...every hour,...every second...
