What I imagine a fully transformed Lycanwing looks like.

...Sorry. It was a bit less creepy in my head lmao.

But I always imagined them to have a similar structure to a human. Naturally, they would elongate and stretch bones, instead of creating tons of new ones, the only new ones being the wings, which would extend off of the back, and the tail which would extend from the spine for balance.

I kinda figure as they are a walking pathogen, I would assume it would make its body as capable as possible to spread and multiply. Therefore, its body shape is focused on speed over strength, stretching muscles instead of adding.

The head I imagine would stretch to accommodate as many teeth as possible, and its nasal cavity's would be stretched back to allow as much smell as possible to hunt prey. The human eyes would be adapted to see like a dragon, but due to the stretching, they would be sunken in to the skull.

Its teeth can penetrate nearly anything, and its claws are sharp and round, and its spine is elongated, the vertebrae sharpened and poking out of the back, similar to a dragons spines.

I was on the fence for wings, but once again, its build would focus on agility, and wings would only give the creatures more ability to reach prey, so yeah. Wings for the bois.

Anywho, i hope you likey! Sorry if I freak anyone out lmao. Ill draw a half transformed version or something later mebe.

365 Days of Poems: Day 10 (January 10th)

Harmonious Anxiety

There is a music inside me

There always has been

When I was younger,

before I knew much of anything,

my fingers fumbled over the keys and strings

attached to my organs

and what came was a cacophony

produced by my movements

inside

I tried to teach myself

how to turn the discordant noise

into something—anything—pleasant,

and sometimes I would stumble

upon notes that fit like a jigsaw,

but mostly,

I made it worse

with a mess of overthinking and insecurity

I learned to leave the music alone

and let it play itself

however it wanted or needed to,

but sometimes the cacophony would return

without my influence

and I would have to intervene,

trying to muffle the sound

and silence the chords,

but I rarely succeeded at that too

Eventually,

someone else—a musician—took my hands

and taught me

how to pluck the strings and touch the keys

to make a melody

that grew into a symphony

with my internal orchestra,

and they taught me

it's impossible to fully stop the cacophonies

but it is instead possible to make my own music with it

until it passes

They were right:

the cacophonies have never vanished,

but I have since learned

to live with them in harmony

I still have 3 hours left of waiting before I can resume my progress in book 6 with every team at once so here's a few shitposts in the meanwhile, it's really fun to read so far
