Do you think Gojo was tempted to eat Sukuna's finger given that he had it for god knows how long?

I mean ......He was lonely and bored.

Imagine feeling different from everyone else, like a freak, and being told that the reason curses are growing stronger is because of YOU being born into the world. and the only person you might possibly connect with is this 1000-year-old king of curses, to whom you are holding a mummified finger that you must destroy in some way in order to save humanity.

All of this for people who can't even begin to understand you.

However, you could just... eat it.

The whole thing about him relating to Sukuna wasn't brought up before the Shinjuku showdown, but Gojo must have always felt that way.

He was a little shit when he was a child, and he was also an edgy teenager with a fuck the weak mindset.

They don't get any sort of punishment from him, he gives them their reward of being sent back to their world, a body for John, AND Arthur gets Faroe back (maybe not technically *his* faroe but I don't think it would matter to him all that much, idk u get the point). All carrot, no stick.

Kayne has been satisfied, with this timeline at least.

so i’ve been rewatching community again and just. again. this show is so incredible and it deserved better than the way we’ve damn near forgotten it. shit is so fucking good both in terms of like. being so so fun to watch and also in terms of emotionally WRECKING you when you least expect it

Now that the translations are out I gotta say that IF this is trully how it ends for him, I'm disappointed. Like I was never under the illusion that Gojo would've survived till the end of the manga but this just feels so... off? So underwhelming, almost? Like, it feels incomplete and granted, Gege has killed characters that, arguably, weren't finished with their arcs (Nobara, Nanami) before but even if we take that into consideration this one still feels so wrong to me.

Obviously I wanted Gojo to win and obviously everyone knew that he wasn't going to (historically, he has always lost something so important whenever he 'wins' a battle that it renders his victory almost meaningless) but killing him off screen, even with all of the explanations, when he was straight up folding Sukuna's shit for like 10 chapters straight just feels cheap and Sukuna's victory actually feels undeserved to me bc of it.

He was on the defence most of the fight. He pulled out every single thing he could from Megumi's CT and STILL got his ass handed to him multiple times. Im gonna be real, despite me making fun of his ✨fraud-core✨ chapters, I like Sukuna. I like him a lot as a character and as an antagonist and so I want to see his victory actually mean something, or be hard won since this was a fight between THE pillars of the jujutsu world. Perhaps if he killed Gojo with his own CT it would have felt more right ? Maybe..

Besides all of that, what happens now? What could possibly be done against Sukuna now that The Strongest is out of the picture? Kashimo, and let it be known that i love him dearly, will be folded in probably 2 chapters max. Yuta (<3), Yuuji, Maki, Hakari and his domain will not be enough.

Like sometimes I feel like people just either forget or don't grasp the sheer depth of the power gap between Gojo and EVERYONE else. It's just so insanely large that after defeating him, Sukuna is trully unstoppable. And if Gege pulls some shit and has him defeated regardless, then that will just be bad writing and Gege, for all I curse him on the daily, isn't a bad writer.

Truth be told, whenever a chapter ended before, I wasn't all that scared that Gojo was done for solely because the manga would have ended. Like, in universe, if Gojo goes down then it's a wrap for everyone else pretty much immediately (like mans got sealed and not even 10minutes later everything went to hell in that godforsaken train station) so now that this has happened I trully wonder where this will go from here?

PTSDee is one of my favorite episodes because I just absolutely love episodes that explore the gang’s trauma through absurd hijinks (dee’s self esteem issues n mac n frank daddy issues exploration r also favorites of mine) but charlie & dennis’ connection is just soo special and i love the way it’s portrayed. they’re such different people but the way they can see through each other’s denial and bullshit to recognize the specific ways that each of them was hurt KILLS me. they can only truly comprehend and try to process That Thing That Never Happened through projecting onto each other it’s so tragic. It's a good question that I'm happy to answer! It just makes me mad.... I sincerely hate the wording of "prey" being used to describe her.

I can...see how people in ancient times may have used that word and still meant it in how she is a victim... but modern-day English-speaking people calling her that??? (considering how in different languages the word "prey" could have different meanings.) I'll just say that as someone who has been "prey" herself at one point, I REALLY hate that word as a descriptor. Just say victim or survivor. 👍

Honestly to call ANY victim "prey" is so fucked up. "Prey" to me, feels like "it's meant to happen." "Prey" are part of the food chain and so that's what happens. And to compare that to abduction and SA? Almost as if "that's our place"? It also kind of implies something being "eaten" or killed... Helen SURVIVES. She's traumatized and definitely needs healing and support but it's not like she can't find joy or peace ever again. Prey just feels so fucking gross.

Also, if someone calls victims "prey", I hope they know that Moose, Elk, Boars, Bovine, ZEBRAS, etc. are technically "prey". And these are VERY aggressive animals while still being "prey" for some other animals. And also that doesn't mean that "Oh, they're powerful! Clearly they should've been able to stop it." That's victim blaming :P

Granted, we do not know if Aphrodite would have let him undo their deal of "I want the prettiest woman" if he DID end up feeling bad for Helen and he wished to let her go home (I doubt it based on his personality though).

I am currently in the process of setting up a Redbubble store, featuring all the digital art I’ve been posting over the past month. It’s taking longer than I thought it would—because I am a Perfectionist(TM)—but I expect to have the store all set up and open to the public by the end of this week. So keep an eye out for that!

A few Q&A, to keep this simple:

Q: How many designs will there be in the store?

A: Approximately 35. Most of them feature hobbits, Gollum, and/or Beregond.

Q: Will all the digital art you posted be available in the store?

A: Not yet. Things like In The Van are a bit too small to make good products, so I’ll have to redraw that sometime in a higher resolution. (I also plan to redraw Perfect Satisfaction sometime, since it turns out it’s too small an image size to be a proper poster.)

Q: Will you be adding more designs to the store in future?

A: Absolutely! Currently I’m a little under halfway through my stockpile of sketches that I want to turn into digital art. As soon as I finish those, they will be going into the store!

Q: I requested something for the store a long time ago. Will it be there?

A: Eventually. ;-) Patience, my friend.

Q: Are the Field of Cormallen and Scouring of the Shire posters available?

A: Nope X-D Sorry. Haven’t gotten to those yet. But they will be! And in the meantime, I will have both versions of the Horn of Rohan poster available, if that strikes your fancy.

Q: How many designs do you have uploaded in the store right now?

A: I estimate I’m about a third of the way through. If I continue at the same pace, it’ll take me another couple of days to get everything uploaded and set up.

Q: Will going back to your day job affect your posting schedule?

A: Yes it will. The building where I work has been under renovation for the whole month of June, but they just finished, and I’m going back to work tonight. That means I’ll have less time for digital art. But I’ll continue to chip away at it when I can!
