I know a lot of you are young and perhaps have not been part of fandom spaces since the dawn of time (circa fanfiction.net) so let's talk about some dos and don'ts with fandom, so we can keep this a happy place! Please read this and reblog to get this out to people who genuinely may not know!

📕DON'T: Write reviews of fics on Tumblr, Tiktok, or other social media. Fic writers are creating these things for FREE, and did not ask you to review. This often leads to negative discourse and can even cause fic writers to take down their fics. 📗DO: Leave kudos and ONLY POSITIVE comments. Talk about only positive things on social media. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!

Edited to add: YES, EVEN CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISCISM. If the author didn't ask for it, don't give it. Some may appreciate it, but others won't. At the very least, ask permission first.

📕DON'T: Post fic ideas or headcanons on AO3. AO3 is for posting actual fanfiction or fanart and nothing else. (What I mean by this is, I've seen posts on ao3 like "Just posting an idea that someone should write, here it is!" and that's not what ao3 is for). Edited to add: You can also post original works and nonfiction works based on fandom on ao3! 📗DO: Post headcanons and ideas on Tumblr, Tiktok, etc!

Edited to change: Okay, so I feel like there's some arguments over like...what qualifies as metafic versus something that shouldn't be on AO3? So from my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong), people DEFINITELY should not be posting just a title with no work attached, which I have seen a lot lately, nor should they be posting to search for someone else's fic. However, it seems like lists, and similar metafic are okay, as well as original content, and nonfiction.

📕DON'T: Repost entire fanfictions without permission or sell bound fanfiction. Again, this causes writers to take their fics down, and can actually cause issues with fandom because it can cause allegations of copyright infringement. 📗DO: Recommend fics you like to others by talking them up and posting links! Ask permission before you translate!

📕DON'T: Send hate to authors for writing a fic in a way you don't like or not updating enough. Again, authors are doing this for free and sending hate causes serious mental harm to authors because they are people! If you don't like it, don't read it! 📗DO: Send love to authors in forms that they are comfortable with!

📕DON'T: Shame others for their ships/fics/kinks. Fandom is supposed to be a supportive space! Judging people is taking away that safe space! 📗DO: Use the block button! Block or filter out things or people you don't like!

📕DON'T: Use AI to create art or fics. This is detrimental to the creators who work hard to create their work! 📗DO: Try making your own art or fics! Practice makes perfect!

These are just a few of the things that I've seen happening more lately, but keep in mind that if you don't like something, you don't have to interact with it and fanart and fanfiction creators are people who are doing this for free. Please make sure to respect the hard work people put in, or fandom can't exist!

Thank you! Siltsplash is one of my favorites too! You're actually right on both of those points! Juneaucliff is the tallest cat in the clan, and Owlstar is the second shortest!

Here we have a simplified height chart featuring the tallest and shortest cats in the clan along with Kingfur as reference for an "average" height cat and Owlstar cause the ask was about him. The clan cats believe that height can be an indicator of one's lineage, taller cats might claim to have lynx-blood while their smaller clanmates are believed to be descended from delicate housecats. (Please do not strictly hold me to this. Sizes will vary based on panel composition. If don't size Fiercestripe up she can't fit in the panels with Wildfirecry. Have mercy /lh)

Great question! (to the best of my recollection) The only warriors that have been made after the discovery of the oil pool were Mediator Kits. While Sockeyepelt and Chumpaw could technically choose to touch the blackwater, it would disqualify them from inheriting the position of mediator in the future, and it's generally a good idea to have a back up or two just in case. So Dogwoodmoth is the first warrior who has been eligible for a blessing before her ceremony. However, as the Healer Heir she was certainly given special treatment and recieved a lot more blessings than the average warrior would. She's got 4 blessings "to hear, to see, to speak, and to follow" starclan's will. The average warrior would not recieve more than 1. It's also very impermanent. She'll only have it until it wears off, unlike the Healer's, who constantly re-coat themselves.

Thank you so much! As loudclan's leadership is functionally a monarchy, the clan cats take great pride in their lineage. As generations go on kits are taught from an early age to be able to recite their parentage back to the most recent leader, and those who feel particularly full of themselves might introduce themselves this way, using it as a formal title. For example: "I'm Summitflight, daughter of Mousetail, son of Wolverinebite, Daughter of Fireweedstar, the 14th leader of Loudclan. A simpler "I'm Ridgeflip, great-grandson of Fireweedstar" would also be acceptable as a formal greeting. It is the job of the Leaders to memorize and keep track of the lineage overall, as issues of inheritance come down to their decisions. While this is a pretty extensive feat, family lines die off often enough that it's doable, and they can always double check their memories against those of their clanmates. Anyway, that was a very longwinded way of saying it's an oral tradition.

Of course! You can always respectfully ship characters with ocs or other Loudclan cats regardless of what's going on with them/their relationships in canon!

First of all, this is my first ever ask, I've made it mother :D Secondly, I'd gladly explain! Though please note that it really has been a good while since I've read the books too, so my memory is kinda foggy :] Warnings for: Slight mentions (but not too much) of rape, pedophilia and mental illness (oh boy this is a tough one)

So, I have made a post abt this before, but it was written in a fit of rage so not my proudest moment (but my most popular post, oops). Anyways, I feel that the hate towards Calypso x Leo is because of a few reasons. 1. It simply didn't get enough development to feel worth it imo. Similar to Jason x Piper, I felt like there wasn't enough there to warrant a canon ship. There is also the fact that personally, I thought that their dynamic was more of a familial or that of siblings, which made me uncomfortable. I would've much rather have them be friends. 2. The uncomfortable age gap. It feels very weird because while yes, Calypso was depicted as a teenager, she is thousands upon thousands of years old. The fact that she fell in love with a literal child is incredibly weird. It was weird enough with Percy, but at least they didn't end up dating. With Leo though, she did end up dating him and the age gap feels very odd. Its even weirder knowing she had a relationship with Odysseus, who by that point was a pretty old dude so she was probably very mature and an adult (though she doesn't act like it). 3. Calypso is kinda a rapist. In the Odyssey myth, she forces Odysseus (a married man) to sleep with her. I'm sorry, but I can't support any relationship involving a rapist unless its rapist x prison cell. It makes me uncomfortable because she could very well take advantage of Leo, a mentally ill teenager with self-esteem issues. 4. Her toxic treatment of Leo. Calypso was very pissed when Leo arrived on her island, rightfully so after what she had gone through, but even then her treatment of his was outright cruel, especially compared to that of Percy and Odysseus. She made him sleep outside, exposing him to the elements after he got flung through the air and ended up on her island, which must've caused some damage. Then after they started dating, I still felt uncomfortable reading about the two, because their dynamic just didn't work, and I don't recall her apologizing to him for her treatment of him. 5. Leo's arc was thrown away. I think the worst of all, is how this impacted Leo's character. He should've had an arc where he learnt to love himself, but because of Calypso he didn't. I think the moral was supposed to be: 'even if you're mentally ill or have problems, you still deserve love!' but it came over more as: 'ignore your issues and get all your love from someone else.' Isn't it more important for kids to learn about self-love? And as an extra: what could've been. I think that Leo shouldn't have gone back for Calypso, that that ship shouldn't have happened. I prefer him going back to Echo and them learning about self-love together as buddies (and maybe evolving into more than that). Echo was stuck in an abusive relationship with the Narcissist, so I think it would a good arc for them both. I also think that if you really wanted a romance, Jason x Leo would've been much better. We know that Rick can write good gay romances, we know that Piper turns out to be a lesbian, so why not make Jason and Leo gay? I think it would add much more to the tragedy of Jason's death, but that's for another post (and this one is getting too long already oops). In conclusion, I think Caleo is bad for many reasons, but especially because it didn't have enough time to develop and the dynamic was simply too creepy for me to get invested in. Hey! Prefacing this by saying that this isn't meant to be an attack (which generally isn't a great way to start a message but I'd rather be clear about intentions) and more so genuine curiosity. Apologizing in advance for this being long; I have a tendency to overthink and overexplain.

I don't typically interact with fandom outside of like... carefully curated little microbiomes. As such I haven't really encountered the whole proship/anti shit with any amount of seriousness since probably around 2018. I personally don't put much stock into either of the terms because there's far too much grey area and for the fact that (as per my understanding) exist as ethical frameworks, and I don't care much for subscribing purely to a single framework to the exclusion of anything else in terms of personal ethics and morality. At most with friends we tend to colloquially refer to incest + pedophile ships as proships, because that's just sort-of what the term has evolved to mean most strongly (again, at least in the circles I run in). I don't consider myself anti or proship or whatever the fuck else, because I generally don't care to involve myself with that kind of fandom drama. I'll involve myself over like, matters of being anti-bigotry but the rest is just something I haven't wanted to deal with for 5-6 years. Tagging + filtering + block functions exist for a reason, and I don't need to do anything more than prevent my feed from showing me those things. I generally just hit block and move on with that kind of stuff, especially because I'm anti-censorship for a variety of reasons.

Tl;dr on that: proship/anti aren't terms I really use or subscribe to, because I feel like they oversimplify everything and conflate "drama". From my understanding, I agree with proship ideology (????) in the sense that I believe censorship only fucks over everyone, and that you can just block + filter and move on. But at the same time I see this overall conception that 'proship' means you support/condone/etc incest and pedophilia and so on, which I really truly don't. But there is this really heavy perception that proship = this person ships (usually) pedophilic or incestuous relationships. A bit reinforced for me typically because when something like that comes across my feed and I go to block the person, they generally have 'proship' in their bio. That to acknowledge that I do have some bias in that, even if I know it's a correlation/not cause thing. That all being (over)said (and I'm SO sorry again about how fucking long this is, my twitter TL is having a meltdown and I've avoided all this stuff for so long I don't know if I'm missing something? Because ethically on my end there's no reason for me to block or whatever outside of just the word proship...? Two minutes for a quick search as as far as I can tell you don't participate in anything against my own comfort/moral beliefs. so) I guess I'm asking what your definition of proship is for yourself and why people are jumping to this conclusion of dislike so instantaneously? Obviously you're under no obligation to educate me on what I presume is fucking YEARS of fandom history, nor respond publicly or even at all. I'm only asking you specifically because this is the first time I've encountered 'being proship' ≠ shipping pedophilia etc etc. I think maybe I came across it way back when as a middle schooler, but I'm not about to trust any of my opinions/recollections from when I was that age lmao. Most of my Lao headcanons (if they are not related to a particular art I made) were yoinked from another ppl, because DAMN FELLAS your brains are sexy. 😏 So you might have heard some of them already, but here's my top general hcs for him.

NOTE: we are talking about the current timeline mk1 Kung Lao

- Lao is very expressive with his hands and he's THE TOUCH person. Just look at how many times he took Raiden by the shoulder in the first chapter alone?? He'll be pushing, and patting, and shoving, and punching you all over while telling about his breakfast or something.

- Lao is struggling with inferiority complex. Since childhood he was under a tremendous amount of pressure, he has to do things right, to be better, or else he would be mocked or punished. Now he believes that he should be the best, or he would not be taken seriously. He's constantly seeking validation in his peers, causing him to act cocky and over-confident.

- Anger issues, usually when someone questions his skill.

- People call him lazy because he tries to act like everything comes naturally to him. In reality he trains hard and takes things seriously. Like, he's fighting with a RAZOR RIMMED HAT fgs, it's not something you can master in a day! Also he always got energy running through his veins, lucky bastard... *cries in iron deficiency*

- He makes his hats by himself. With his hands. He designs and creates. ALL of them. I will die on that hill.

- He's a slow to trust, but ride or die as a friend.

- He's a trouble maker FOR SURE, but not a bully. He's respectful and polite to most of the people (if they don't provoke him), also drinks his respect-women juice.

- Master of sass and sarcasm. And yes, I think he swears, but in the right circumstances or the right company.

- He's got rizz NOW, but in his teens he had zero game because he could not keep his mouth shut and would scare off the person with the most ridiculous piece of idiocy.

- I read it in one fic and really loved the idea that Liu Kang "told the blossoms" about Kung Lao, and they really liked him 🌸 so now they are following him around and bringing him news and gossips, that's why there's always those goddamn petals aroung him aasghGHHHj 🌸🌸

- He's rolling his eyes at Johnny, but they quickly become besties.

- He actually has a cold relationship with Liu Kang. Don't get me wrong, he trusts him, respects the hell out of him and will run into a wall for a man. But I think Liu will distance himself because of all the memories of HIS Lao and how badly they sting. oTL

- That smile and a bow Lao did after loosing to Raiden? He meant that. Loosing hurted BAD, but the pain was pushed aside by the sence of pride and happiness for his best friend.

About the popular ships... Well, I'm a big fan of railao (yeah NO SHIT who would have thought), but I am a multishipper, so I'm just happy to see my fav characters feeling good in someone's hands. 😊

I really like the liulao and laoliutana for several different reasons. 👀 The johnshilao (or is it laojohnshi..? erm) was the one that didn't impress me at first (love the Lao just third-wheeling with a tired expression <:'D), but recently I'm starting to warm up to all the different dynamics these three can have. And that is, in no small part, thanks to you and your kenlao agenda 👀💖 damn you created such a nice cozy universe for them I'm 🥺💕💗💖

Jem'rian stares at Kyle with his compound eyes. Humans find it hard to figure out where Sefrigan's are looking, but spend enough time with them and you pick it up. His stare bores into Kyle.

Jem clacks his wing covers together, like a determined nod. "That's fine then Kyle. I'll ask her for you."

Kyle's eyes go wide. "No! You can't!"

Jem crosses two of his four arms, mimicking a human gesture. "And why not?"

Jem finishes off his beverage. As he puts his cup down, his antenna perk up. "Look Kyle, she just walked in. Now is your chance!" Jem jumps up from his seat and waves one of his hands. "Jennfer! Human Jennifer! Come over here a moment please?"

Jennifer from Records Management walks over. She's tall and strong looking with well defined muscles and - Jem'rian assumes - a pleasing shape. "Hey Jem, what's up?"

"Jennifer! I am so glad that I caught you. My friend Kyle here from Reactor Management thinks you are very attractive and would like to mate-" Kyle's glare could melt ship-metal "-er, would like to go to evening meal with you, if you would like to accompany him."

Kyle looks up at Jennifer and weakly smiles. "Hi Jennifer. You free tomorrow?"

Jennifer has a wan smile. "Oh, Jem'rian, you're so nice to help Kyle out, it really is sweet. But, I like women. Sorry Kyle."

Jem'rian notices Kyle's expression cycle through four or five different expressions. He seems to settle on one that Jem thinks of is 'fake casual indifference.'

"Oh! Oh, I see, no worries, Jennifer, it's all good. I'll see you around." Kyle sits back up and makes himself busy with his own beverage.

Jennifer looks at Jem'rian and then back at Kyle and raises an eyebrow. "See you Kyle." and she walks off to meet her friends at another table.

Jem'rian wordlessly orders another drink from his pad. "Well friend Kyle, now you know."

Kyle sighs and sits up. "You're right Jem, at least now I know. No more wallowing."

Jem stares at Jennifer, talking with her friends and laughing. "You like... humans that look like her though?"

"Kyle looks up from his pad. "I mean, yes? That's an odd way of phrasing it Jem, but yes, I like women, especially women with her general... proportions?"

Jem'rian clacks his wing covers again. "What about... Kelly in plant production? She has a similar shape?"

I literally just finished an anime about an assassin trying to get back to his wife. He was 16 and had a wife. I swore he was at least 20, but sometimes anime ages don't make sense. Yk what actually I'm gonna actually post thought-out Diasuke hate to prove a point here. Daisuke is also not this perfect little guy that everyone characterizes him as. He goes along with some of the casually sexist things Jimmy says during their optional conversations. He agrees to drug Swansea, which in itself is a very blunt implication that Jimmy has drugged people's drinks before. (Obviously Jimmy bullied him into it, but abusers do that with a lot of people that are labeled "enablers" so like. Daisuke isn't at fault there but it calls into question what he might have done in other scenarios, where the violence is aimed at more vulnerable people. But that's not something we will ever know.) And most of all Daisuke DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THAT ANYA IS GOING TO KILL HERSELF. His biggest flaw is that he's completely emotionally oblivious and is not someone Anya would ever feel comfortable confiding in. And that's not an endearing trait. And just cause I know someone is gonna take me in bad faith idrc if you hc him as like neurodivergent or whatever like coming from an autistic person who really struggles with empathy, it's not fun, and it's not quirky, it just causes issues. Sympathy and self-awareness is definitely something that can be worked on regardless of your capacity for empathy. (To varying degrees of success obviously. I'm not judging people who genuinely can not sympathize with others. But also, Daisuke probably isn't even intended to be autistic. At this point we're kind of just projecting and lying about canon, aren't we? Not to say it couldn't be an interesting angle for analysis but again. It's not actually part of the text.) EVERY crewmember contributes to the systemic misogyny on that ship. If Curly intentionally ignores it, Daisuke hasn't even come to the conclusion that it exists yet. He is also part of the problem.

But none of that makes Daisuke a uniquely bad person! Obviously! Imo it doesn't even make him a bad person at all! He inadvertently contributes to the system that fucked them all over. And? All of the characters in this game are nuanced and morally grey and that's kind of the point!!! (Except Jimmy lol. Nuanced yes but there's a very clear villain there.) Like pointing out a character's flaws and concluding they're bad is not the intelligent take fandoms tend to think it is. Ok, you've identified a character flaw. Now what does it mean. What does it contribute to what the game is trying to say? And I think this is the root of what's so frustrating about people debating whether Curly or Swansea is actually Good or Bad. I really, truly don't think we're here to make moral judgements about individuals. We're here to examine the systemic issues that allowed the story to take place at all. And obviously, every character lives in a god damn society and has had those bad traits rub off on them! Like. Can we move past this base level of moral analysis already? Please. Please.

Falling for zosan and namivivi because I am a sucker for parallels and relationships that are not what people would expect of them.

For example, I prefer when Zoro and Sanji don't get together because they are sexually attracted to each other, but because there is literally no real reason forcing them together but they choose to be together either way.

Why do they fight? Why each other?

There's nothing about fate or blind love in there.

Loving Sanji is a decision for Zoro. He picks Sanji. He decides he wants to tease Sanji and fight with him and offer to Sanji those parts of himself that no one else has seen. Zoro loves deliberately, with all his being. He knows what he's getting into and he accepts it, a promise made to last forever. He did the same with Kuina and Luffy, so it doesn't make sense to me to have a version of Zoro that loves romantically 'cause there's no other option. Remember when he preferred to die over denying his ambitions? Or all the times he has sacrificed himself expecting nothing in return? Or the fact he is praised for following no one he doesn't want to and nothing but what pleases him?

And Sanji can only choose to love Zoro. It'd be a fight with his traumas and the persona he created to keep the hurt at bay, you know, "the romantic cook that loves and lusts for women". It wouldn't be fair or pretty either if Sanji was forced into it. I'm not saying he can't be sexually attracted to Zoro —and I must clarify, for me Zoro is fully on the asexual spectrum— but ultimately, I think that Sanji would never dive on it if not fully conscious about what it entails. Sanji has a lot of issues he must start working on before involving himself in anything romantic or sexual with a man. It's the guilt? The shame? The way he represses himself and denies himself happiness? The way he thinks he needs to fake an easygoing persona so that others wouldn't worry? The self-loathing? Zoro sacrifices himself because that's his duty and he knows himself and his wishes— he'd die to be the best swordman and he'd die for Luffy to be the pirate king and he'd die for his crew. He doesn't wish death, tho. Sanji? His self-sacrificing is born out of suffering and self-deprecation. Loving Zoro would be a choice, no doubt.

With Nami and Vivi, it's that the circumstances make them perfect for each other, just to later keep them apart.

Vivi and Nami fit together. It took Nami one single night and she knew she'd sacrifice anything— that they would sacrifice anything to help Vivi. Nami saw her own fear and loneliness and guilt and desperation reflected in the way Vivi made her lip bleed from her bite while the Igaram ship was on fire. They were "cursed" to survive. To fight and struggle and survive, because no one else could face Arlong or Crocodile. Little girls —kids, then teenagers— sailing to a world of crime where they got claimed by the organizations they hated the most, the one they wanted to tear down because they were hurting their home. Young attractive teen girls who turned their bodies into weapons to distract and surprise their enemies so they could have a chance to defeat them.

Girls who know what it's like to smile when you want to break down, what it's like to kneel out of frustration and scream and feel useless helpless.

The strawhat girls were to fucking hell as mere children and got out of there walking, okay?

What allowed the princess and the burglar to find companionship within the other were those things like the trauma of being the only one who could reclaim back their home or the fear of being alone against a situation bigger than themselves. Being honest, I'm not sure if they'd have clicked without it. In the end it's a bit funny, isn't it? Alabasta is the reason Vivi met the strawhats and the reason why she can't sail to go on adventures with them. In fulfilling the promise of saving Alabasta, Nami made it so that Vivi wouldn't be able to leave with them. Well, she could, but not really. Vivi is a good princess and she wouldn't abandon her people = her country.

Vivi suffered for being a rich princess, but saved herself + her people 'cause they underestimated how influential and powerful she could be. On the other hand, Nami suffered for being a poor no one first, then for being too important for Arlong to discard, yet they never expected that Nami would have so many people willing to fight for her.

Vivi and Nami are an echo of each other, one that rings clear and true across the seas. For me, there could be no one else for them. Who else would get it? Who else could understand what they can't explain? What they've lived through? Who held Vivi and swore it'd be okay that night at Whiskey Peak? Who took care of Nami when she was at death's door with fever for days? All the moments become a giant picture with them at the center of it. There's no one else. It couldn't be.

If you allow me to be blunt, I do not care what cc!Scott and cc!Owen preferences are. This is characters, not creators. I do not push it in the CCs' faces, and if they stumble upon the bracket or anything else I do in fandom, it is up to them to block me, keep scrolling, or choose to interact.

Indulging this question/concern for a second, I believe it is more complicated with shipping them than people realize. People were referring to both the CCs and the characters by default as "Copper Husbands". It made them uncomfortable because they have not chosen to be romantic via their characters nor are they romantic irl. This is in contrast to calling Scott and Jimmy "Flower Husbands" because they initiated romantic relationships as their characters and called their characters that. In response, the fandom has switched to defaulting on calling them "Copper Duo" (and perhaps another duo name I can't recall at the moment), which is respectful to the CCs and good on everyone for doing. This does not mean that we, as a fandom, are forced to stop shipping or are "not allowed" to ship Copper Husbands.

If you or anyone else want to ship a pairing and make/interact with the fan made content of said ship, you and everyone else should be able to (or "allowed to") without being shamed or made to feel unnecessarily guilty.

In addition, this blog attempts its best to take a neutral stance on ships regardless of the blog owner's own opinions. The bracket runs with the first 32 nominated Scott ships, regardless of what they are, as long as it isn't immoral/unethical such as person/animal, minor/adult, or something else like that. I am not here to make any sort of judgement on the validity of a ship. I simply acknowledge that the ship exists and run the bracket accordingly.

As a general rule of thumb, don't tag the creators if they haven't requested/encouraged it, don't force fan content into their faces via stream/etc, and tag your posts (especially shipping posts) correctly. The creators' interaction with the fan base as a whole and specific parts of fandom are up to them to maintain, just as it is with us personally. As a fandom, as long as we follow those general rules, there is nothing wrong with shipping the characters however we wish.

This and similar issues are more nuanced than people tend to realize, and it gets frustrating to have to defend things and explain myself over and over, but please know that I say this out of sharing an insight. This post is very /info /nm and not meant to be seen as an attack. Here are some tidbits I think people really should remember: live and let ship (aka live and let live), learn how to just scroll/filter out tags, the block button exists for a reason, someone else's opinions/preferences/etc do not affect you personally, and you do not have to interact with people you disagree with.

If what someone is doing doesn't cause harm to themself or others, then why do you care?

Now, quite reasonably, Marco is going to assume you're just intimidated (and he's not... Wrong???) And give you space. This is assuming you're on the same ship and prone to running into each other otherwise he wouldn't need to think about it much at all.

This does get troublesome when time doesn't fix the issue. Unless he's your direct commander it just gets... Frustrating. Sure you're not together all the time but he gets a bit tired of being treated like he has the plague. Eventually, he's going to confront you about hating him.

Only to be baffled by how you're studiously avoiding eye contact. And you're blushing madly. And can't seem to string together sentences.

Oh.

Now, he gets a little mean. Screw him. He thought you hated his guts for the longest time. He milks it a little, just enough to see you sweat that he's definitely onto you. But if it approaches real anxiety or fear he takes a step back and handles it differently. He doesn't want you to be uncomfortable after all.

Ends up having a small but genuine conversation with your backs to each other.

Afterwards, he's preening to himself.

Immediately assumes you hate him totally and completely. So much so that it takes some time for people to figure out who's avoiding whom. And it takes even longer for someone to convince Ace that there's something going on. But once that idea is planted in his head he's going to worry over it. Constantly. It will literally haunt him.

He needs answers.

He's going in a tad aggressive, demanding answers so he can make peace with the obvious truth that you hate him. Getting pissed off that you won't look at him--clearly you're disgusted by him. Fuck, can't you at least have the balls to say it to his face??? What's he gotta do to get you to admit how much you hate him?

Then he sees how hard your blushing, face hot as you hide behind your hands. And he assumes that he's effectively been bullying you and maybe you don't hate him but clearly you're terrified of him (so close yet so far...)

So now he's apologizing, getting all worked up himself because now you definitely have to hate him! He's just going to... Go now. Sorry...

It's only when his back is turned that you can string together a response to explain that he's too pretty to handle.

It's a solid two minutes before he can think again, he's so fucking thrown by your explanation. Turning on instinct before remembering the problem so he hides his face in his hat, which is great cause his face is bright enough to function as a lighthouse.

Face now hidden behind a hat he gets to the bottom of it. He's... Absolutely baffled and almost doesn't believe you but the sheer awkwardness is convincing enough on its own.

Now he's got a new problem.

First of all the post you're referring to this one is tagged properly. It is tagged with the shows it's from and it is tagged as Buddie because the majority of Buddie fans do not like T*mmy. Therefore I made this post for Buddie fans to see it. The Buddie tag isn't just for posts that contain Buck and Eddie but also for posts that are relevant to the Buddie fandom. Not sure if you're new around here but fandom tags have always worked this way on tumblr.

Also my post is not tagged with anything in relation to T*mmy or B/T because even if you tag a post "anti b*ckt*mmy" (minus the censors) it will still show up in the B/T tags. I didn't make that post to attack B/T shippers or to cause drama with them. I made that post to get across some of my feelings about the ship and express them on my blog and to share them with other Buddie shippers.

The post is tagged as Heartstopper because it is a parallel between a scene in Heartstopper and some scenes in 911. Frankly I find your comment about "don't drag them into this nonsense" really rude. Everyone on this site makes parallels from one show to another all the time. You are free to disagree with the one I made but I'm still allowed to make it and have my opinion.

I make it a point to try and only tag my posts with tags that are relevant to the content. I also try and keep my anti stuff out of the tags of people who like certain ships or characters.

I see B*mmy posts constantly where people are down right hating on Buddie and Eddie and that's right in the Buddie and Eddie tags. So maybe start with telling those people how to tag first before attacking me over a gifset with some scenes from the actual show that was literally put in my own fandoms tag.

Also I'm positive you're a T*mmy defender and your real issue isn't the tags it's that you didn't like my gifset which again you're 100% entitled to but maybe just block me next time.

Okay,I’ll rank by personal taste since writing wise I think you would have to be too cold headed to evaluate.

With the exception of one , they are all book wise (i could rank the show ships later if you ask)

From less favorite to most:

10-Sergei and Marie: don't like either character so there are not strong feelings here, the impact is more interseting than the ship

9-Mayu and Isaak: they were boring together, the chemistry was just "eh" , just like before the impact was more interesting than the ship but this one actually needed you to care, which i did but also no, i cared abotu them as characters but not as a couple. Only ranking them higher because i like both characters

8-Tamadia: please don't hang me for this , i wish i could like them more but their writing was kind of lazy, i felt Leigh wrote everyone to have their perfect match, made Zoya , Nikolai and Adrik wait for someone she thought would be good for them but with Tamadia she just paired her with the remaining girl with no real exploration of what they have in common or why they lile each other. I get why Nadia likes Tamar(who wouldn't like her?) but i don't see why Tamar likes Nadia because she is a very lacking character that Leigh keeps insisting is a main one. I am sorry but i read RoW and kept thinking "wish Tamar wasn't married cause she´d be more interesting if paired with Ehri" i shouldn't think that, Leigh never gave them plenty to work with mostly like i said: Nadia hardly was a defined character.

I will say positive things: their existence made homophobes rabid , and it makes Tamar happy, also she is very gentle and romantic in her relationship which is a funny callback on how Sergei said he believes Tamar would be harsh with her future husband.

7-Fivan (show only) /Adreoni: I put on a tie because the things i can say about one can be said about the other: they are fine, they are cute and the reason they are both above tamadia is that despite having less screentime, they do have a pretty defined dynamic so you know how they are behind the scene. I wouldn't say they are the same ship, but they have similar principles in one being grumpy and the other being happy. While i am very skeptical of romance tropes as a basis to the whole ship when we are talking about main ships, in secondary characters it works fine and give personality to otherwise characters with limited screentime.

6-Genya x David : This will be hard to explain, they are cute, i can't place them higher because my liking goes to more balanced couples. Which is very likely related that this are two secondary characters while the higher ranked are at least two mains. The thing is it took me a while to warm up to them.

I´ll explain so i give a better picture: Before the "I know metal scene" i honestly didn't really care about the couple, to me it was just pairing the secondary characters, but i melted at David´s speech. But i can't rank them higher if it took me that long. It´s NOT bad writing, i am not saying that, it´s just what happens when it´s two secondary characters. And btw, it was more personality than the average secondary x secondary in other YA books, so it´s not a place to shame (i just feel the need to apologize to put my beloved David so low)

5-Hanne x Nina: I think the reason they don't make a bigger impresion is that the writing is more focussed on each them as characters than their relationship, which is a sacrifice i can respect. They still have good chemistry, to Leigh it was clearly a challenge to not make Helnik 2.0 (people don't give her credit on how she manages to make it romantic and still respecting fan`s love for Helnik) and i´ll say she acomplishes it. I think the issue is that they are actually too good together so there´s not a lot of room for conflict which leaves me wanting for more, it could have been more interesting, but definitely i am not worried about Nina finding someone that understands her and it´s pretty clear why they are so good for each other.

4-Malina: I don't know how i would feel about it if people wouldn't be so vocal about them being abusive or something. Like, people lower your expectations as crazy, i think Mal could use a bit of more focus on his identidy but thats mostly because tgt would have worked better with a multiple pov. As it is, yeah they are adorable, maybe less original in dynamic than the previous ones but the portrayal of their love for each other is very genuine. It has flaws, maybe some parts were too mean but i don't think it´s something that will cause a future problem, they seemed to have put their act together by the end of Ruin and Rising. And most of the most romantic scenes is between them, Leigh doesn't shy up in giving them casual afection, which is pretty cute.

3-Helnik : I have to reread the books every now and then to remember I do like them, because between the awful netflix portrayal and a good chunk of the fandom. However, despite that the ship itself it´s pretty well written, specially since a lot could have gone wrong. My feelings aren't as strong as it used to be, but they are still pretty good if you turn off the fans that clearly don't understand it and only care about the sexual or tropey etl aspect. If you want an actual problem with canon helping it may be that i never undestood why Nina fell in love with Matthias pre character develoment. Post develoment yes i can see it, but before that not really, nothing that ruins it, just places it lower.

2-Zoyalai & Kanej (shared 2nd) I am not saying a lot here because, what can i say? you people know they are both god (nope, didn't forgot an o) i don't need to sell it to you. Let´s say this: my head said Kanej, my heart said Zoyalai, so they will have to share.

ZN: Not my first GV but definitely the one i started shipping faster, i needed just a couple of sentences because their chemistry is that good. I was writing "Sometimes i like them more than Kanej, just sometimes" then i realized, yeah, i will have to put them both in two"

KI -: objetively they are the better one, they have an unique dynamic,subverts plenty of harmful stereotypes and have great scenes, I kind of like the irony that the best couple in the Grishaverse is the one that features no grisha character. But like i said, this was a personal ranking so...

1-Wesper: I have a lor of personal feelings about this, i think its a bit underrated in a way because people think they don't have a lot of drama like Kanej or Helnik but it´s kind of what i like it, i feel it realistic because it´s two people with their own problems leaning on each other. Also, their versatility to work in many aus is great, not to say it´s the ship in soc you actually get to see fall in love since the previous was mostly flashbacks , not saying they are better (like i said, i think Kanej is better objetively) but just more appealing to me. Also well, Jesper being my favorite and Wylan being the fourth help a lot.
